Ryan is a steadfast advocate for effective reform within the criminal legal system.
Ryan firmly believes that grassroots activism and voluntarism can yield more significant results for our communities than mandated government policies. His commitment to Human Respect and focus on positive solutions that return power to the individual is a source of inspiration for many.
Despite his demanding professional commitments, Ryan always finds time for his personal interests. He is a family man who did something truly punk rock: He married his high school sweetheart. They are blessed with three wonderful children. In his leisure time, Ryan indulges in his hobbies, writes short stories and essays, reads voraciously, follows Red Sox baseball, gets tattooed, and cherishes moments with his three Australian Shepherds, Mabel, Junie, and Birdy.
