Rob talks Running

Rob talks Running

Welcome to the podcast. I’m Rob Watson, an ex-pro marathoner with a 2:13:29 personal best (pre-super shoes), 11th place finisher at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and 20th at the World Championships in Moscow that same year. Nowadays, I’m a coach with Mile2Marathon and generally just a big running nerd. On this show, we dive into all things running, with the occasional detour into cycling and triathlons. It’s a lighthearted, fun take on the sport we love, so sit back, relax, and let’s talk running.

In this episode, we get together to reminisce and reflect on that journey. We touch upon the amazing running, the powerful cultural experience the retreat offered and more.

Thanks for tuning in — I hope you enjoy the episode!

Shannon absolutely left it all out there and I could not be more proud of the effort she put forth on race day. They aren't all great, but it is through struggle where character is revealed - our girl never quit and can walk away proud with how she showed up.

My brother Pete and I headed to Vermont this past weekend to take on the Vermont GranFondo-X. 240km w/ 4300m of elevation, including the steepest paved Mile in North America - The Lincoln Gap...it was gnarly, but we lived to tell the tale. Take a listen as we break down the highlights (Pacelines, big climbs and peanut butter sandwiches) and lowlights (crashes, travel shenanigans, terrifying gravel descents)...all in all it was a su...
