(00:03):
All right, you guys, welcome back to Rut Pack goes plane
walking episode 23. Let's get into it.
Last time we opened up with our heroes on the 4th floor of the
Under Mountain, a dungeon besides water deep where we had
delved in search of Hires brother Monty, the yellow

(00:26):
cobold. On this fifth floor we were at
the bottom of a staircase, pinned in between an ooze
glorping down the staircase and a room full of 100 mimics who
would wake up with noise. It was it was a pickle.

(00:47):
Before the ooze reached us, the noble, well, the evil wizard
Demos, our party member, had to retire due to a tummy ache, and
Jaya the GIF gunslinger emerged from Doolum's backpack, having
been stuck in there for many days, and joined us for the

(01:11):
battle while Demos slept it off now.
Can't remember he was. Kids.
Luckily, in the face of unimaginable odds, Doolum
teleported everyone through the ooze and using some gasoline, we
were able to explode in a very Evil Dead goofifying factor 4.

(01:34):
You hello. Shortly after, the evil elf who
had killed some of his party whowe met earlier showed up again.
We just sort of bitched at each other, and then he turned
invisible and said he would findhis own way through the mimic
room. Malagas and I silently recovered
the four real chests from the room using Intel gained from

(01:54):
Dulum and Samir about which hadn't moved when they all woke
up. Oro somehow the best at picking
locks. They're really just machines.
You guys picked one of the chestlocks and immediately died from
negotic damage, but was resurrected.
Notably though did not was not replaced by Iceland as he fell

(02:20):
unconscious, which is unusual and perhaps corresponds to
something I forgot to say earlier is that during the ooze
fight, Oro did in fact go unconscious then as well and
Iceland arrived briefly having been waterboarded by and
informed the party that the nexttime Oro went unconscious,

(02:42):
Iceland would not return as she had found a way around that
magic. Back to the mimic lock picking.
The chest that were mimics picking Oro fell unconscious,
then was brought back by higher and successfully picks a lot on
the next chest, which turned outto be the one holding the key
that was untrapped. We used it to get through a big

(03:05):
door that said entrance to the mithril minds and brought us on
to the 6th floor proper. We arrived in a waiting room
that looked way less safe for the previous floors and began
exploring orifice. Found a secret door contained I

(03:28):
can't believe you remember that which contains notes in Montys
handwriting, which is a good sign, especially notes for him
saying that we should not take the left path.
We learned a little bit more about The Apprentice we're
searching for, who despite beingan apprentice is apparently a

(03:49):
middle-aged woman named Jorah who will be wearing green
professor's robes. We passed a skeleton who was
writing eternally. There was a wet roof, as I
called it in my notes, which hadlike a little pond with a
shining morning star inside. That malagus almost drowned
getting, but Jaya successfully saved Valley and the Morning

(04:13):
Star, which is a holy Mace whichwe gave to Higher.
Later Higher and Samir discovered that the eternally
writing skeleton was writing strange praises to Jorah.
Further past the wet room we found a minecart track.
We found a huge pile of dwarven skeletons, which Samir

(04:35):
identified as having been a tombof warriors that was desecrated.
Recently. We've had another room that had
been retrofitted into a makeshift classroom, including a
page that seems to be written byJora that was like a roster and
list to spell exercises. Also ending with the fact that
she needs more students. Her tone must grow, and she's

(04:58):
hoping she will find some wandering adventurers.
Then a green motive light floatsfloated by us and then quickly
away. We chased it into a room full of
green glowing fungus, which we had been warned about
previously. We found a meal hall with
another corpse, and then we found a bunk room full of
supplies. More notes in Monty's

(05:20):
handwriting warning off future adventurers.
Also, we found a crate of ancient blasting powder and a
locked box which I picked and then found inside an old piece
of parchment that read. Sign below to collect your
wages. We signed below and received.

(05:43):
How much has it made since? Tell me the number.
Let me feel it all over. Again, so it it was in not in
traditional currency that you guys are used to.
It came at Mithril coins. How many?
How? Many was not it. 31.
What was that? The answer is 20.
That's so many. All, It was 30.

(06:05):
It was 30. There's all a test.
Here's a test. Because I knew it was 30 and I
was testing. Now if you write down 20 or you
get nothing. So demos, go ahead and give
yourself 30 Mythro coins. Also we found what was it?
We found a book titled The UnderMountain Guide to Safe Mining
that for some reason I marked asto give to you.

(06:28):
I hope you like it. OK.
And that brings us up to date. Excellent, thank you for that
recap Orifaeus. Just wonderful work as always.
Yes, you can have 30 mithril coins, that sounds good.
In the meantime, welcome back everyone to the Runt Pack goes

(06:48):
plane walking today rather tonight.
It is late now and you all find yourselves deep on the 6th floor
of the under Mountain dungeon just outside of Waterdeep.
You found a bit of a respite in the grand dungeon, in a small
room that looked to have been the quarters of dwarven miners
that once ruled this little dungeon.

(07:10):
There's a lit. Campfire in the center of the
room here and you guys spent thebetter part of 20 minutes sort
of investigating the room and finding a few odds and ends
during your time here. Demos, your tummy ache goes
away. I'm kidding.
Are you feeling better, Demos Smear looks at you pleadingly.

(07:31):
I I was worried about you. You seemed very unwell.
Yes, yes, Sam, I think, I think finally it's it's passed.
I mean, probably mostly thank tothanks to the soupy vein me.
Oh ha ha, that is nice. He sort of looks down and goes
Sam. It's it's OK.

(07:52):
It's OK. We're gonna we're gonna find
Zavrix. We're gonna murder him.
And I'm gonna get that word backand be great.
His gaze sort of floats back up to you, and you see his eyes
sort of steal over as he nods his head and goes.
You're right, Demos. We will do it together.
Yes, I can't wait. Just as the last of you also
write your name down on this work order form from the dwarves

(08:14):
that you found in here Orifaeus as the one holding it, you find
it seems to burn up in your hands.
It's weird that that's happened since it hadn't had 30 names
written on it. Oh Dang, I was really thinking
we could have sold that or like we could have made other.
People sign it and then we take half.
God hired. You and I are the same fucking

(08:36):
wavelength today. That would have been fucking
cool. Guess it's gone now though.
Oh well, moving on. I feel like it's your fault.
Well, it's. How is it my fault?
Just feels like it's your fault.Fuck.
You all right? You found it all right.
It's probably your fault. You probably shit on it.
Yeah, you're welcome, asshole. Where's my 50% of yours?
What you I get 100% of mine? Maybe I get 50% of yours.

(08:58):
Huh. No one would side with you.
What, just because the fucking whatever.
The piece of paper turned to dust.
Now I'm the bad guy. Yeah.
No, you're not. It's just like God is, I guess.
Fuck you all right, Whatever Godyou worship sucks A.
Dwarven high OH. I don't worship any gods.
There's not a lot of point doingit once you're already dead.

(09:19):
Huh. I thought you said you worshiped
heredity. I admire her and I respect her
and I've dedicated my life to her, but I don't worship her in
the way one might to God. Not a boat licker.
I think I said it was like a person worships a God.
Yeah, sort of seems that way. Or a phaeus.
I don't see. I don't take this as an insult.

(09:41):
Good. As you guys are.
Discussing in here, Can I get a perception check from everyone?
All of your perception checks that you got higher got a 13
Demos got a 12 Giant got a 15 ora Faeus got a 15 Dulum did not
roll on this. Oh, we got a five.

(10:03):
Well, Orafheus and Jaya, as you guys are sort of exploring
around here, Jaya, you approach the far door and find that it is
locked. There's a lock on that door.
You go to pulling on it, and youfind that this door here is
locked. Similarly Orafheus, just as you
go over to the lock to unlock it, you hear.

(10:24):
Footsteps. In the hallway outside Jaya, you
do as well. Now someone walking down the
corridor. Could you be Monty?
Could you be Jora? Either way, I would want to run
for the corridor. You go run out there.
Yeah, can I get around demos? Demos.
You're sort of pressed up to thedoor or if it sort of pushes up
beside you to get out. As I noticed Demos has

(10:46):
recovered, I throw into your arms a tome labeled the On the
Mountain Guide to Safe Mining. Here, take this.
Then I want to kick open the door and yell into the hallway.
Halt in your steps. You step out and you find
walking on 2 feet. Well, you see a creature that

(11:08):
looks beyond desiccated. A huge sort of wet blue rag
hangs over its body, and this looks like some sort of corpse
that's been reanimated, not a dwarf.
This looks to be some sort of adventurer, putrid and not quite
smelly yet. You think that perhaps has

(11:29):
something to do with the undead nature, but they look to have
been, perhaps in life, some sortof mage.
They shuffle down the hallway, passing now in front of you, and
they look to you and go running late and turn away and continue
stumbling down the hallway toward where you had found all

(11:51):
of those dwarven corpses and thelarge fungal room with the green
mushrooms. It continues walking.
I pause. I watch this happen.
I breathe through my nose and fight down my violent illness.
Then I turn around and walk backinside.
You head back in. Nothing good, not not it.
Wasn't What did you see? I don't.

(12:14):
Did we hear that? You guys all heard it.
The shuffling got much louder asit approached the door and you
could all see around orifice what smaller frame.
Hey. What the hell does that mean?
Come back and tell us. The creature continues stumbling
off without turning around. So there was like a machine
somewhere out here that has no blood or guts or anything that I

(12:36):
was going to work on and I will go back to that.
Fuck was that? Shouldn't we go after that?
Hi, do you want to go with me? It it sounds like a Nora knows
we're here. Jora Jora is the movie that just
won all the Oscars. God, I hear you know.
It was a really good movie, I liked it.
I heard it was about a prostitute.

(12:57):
I'm familiar with those. Yeah, you are, Malagus.
Yeah. I, I I think Jorah knows we're
here. I, we kind of already knew that,
but I think this just confirms us it because she's telling us
to go there. We should take more time to
investigate. Yeah, I'll just go ahead and pop
this bloodless, catless, fleshless lock open.

(13:21):
I'll roll a slight of hand checkand DND beyond.
All right. You approached the other door
across the way from that campfire, in the room that looks
to be the barracks. You got a. 17.
OK, that is good. You stick your lock pick tools
in this lock. You twist around a bit and you
hear a click. Satisfying sound as it unlocks.

(13:44):
All right, kick it open. You kick it open, you see more
mine shafts, similar to the onesyou had walked through before.
These seem different. You think you're in a different
part of the mine now, but no. Nonetheless, it's still
complicated twisting and turning.
So higher are you and Monty twins.

(14:06):
No, we have no idea who either of our parents are.
And he's yellow. So no like warm share in
telepathy. I mean, I like, I like to think
I have a sort of metaphysical bond with him, maybe.
Perfectly the way almost. Like.

(14:28):
Like a string I'm like tethered to I want to say.
But I I guess he would have found this if it was in his
room. Yeah.
Or he would have gone down this path since he probably would
have found it. Oh.
Yeah, I thought you were still talking about the string.
Don't lead the way, little buddy.
Oh yeah, sorry. As you open the door, orifice

(14:51):
sort of creeping in behind you, the rest of the group follows
into now the mine shaft. Exploring it, you find Samir
sort of comes up next to and goes.
You seem to have quite a knack for picking locks.
It's a skill that I've only seenyou master here in this dungeon.
Where did you acquire this? Well, I was building that store.

(15:13):
Remember for. Your shop a couple days ago.
That's right. So I had to figure out how locks
work in the 1st place, and once you know how something works,
it's not so hard to use it. Just the one lock that you made
yourself was enough to teach youhow to pick locks.
I'm a quick. Learner.
It's all I do. He raises both of his eyebrows

(15:34):
mechanically. And I fixed your face, so I'm
halfway to being a plastic surgeon.
Thank you for that sort of face.Yeah, no problem.
Your eyebrows still work. He gives you a neutral smile.
Can we get a fucking move on? I want to explore more places
and. Maybe find?
Hidden shit. Hold on.

(15:54):
We we still should we still keepon with the with the no left
turns or was it right turn? It was no left, but honestly I'm
so goddamn turned around at thispoint I couldn't say which are
left and which are right from imagination.
That's the fucking. Problem because you don't know
where the foot because it could be OK any anything that's left

(16:16):
if your face in north, but wherethe fuck is north?
I don't got AI, don't got a compass.
Well, you can only you can go down a tunnel two ways.
And so if we go on one side, left is still left.
But what if it's? What if it's a total that
doesn't lead to anything? Then it's just turning left.
If you're in a circle, are you always turning left?
I hate you know what? I'm just going this way.

(16:41):
I. Think we should still avoid
lefts if we can? Hook the right, I'll hook it
right again. Jaya you lead the way then,
making your way into a few more dead end tunnels and corridors
along the way. A lot of what look to be cave
insurance in this specific mine shaft.
None of them look recent, they all look to have been ancient

(17:01):
and likely part of the dwarven mining expedition that caused
the old these mine shafts to appear.
But nevertheless, it's sort of look over your head uneasily
every to see one of these that all that supports you from a
untimely demise is a couple ironbars that are jutted up against
the walls. Can we?
Can we use higher as our bird for the minds?

(17:24):
What? The.
Fuck. When higher goes, we all leave.
Just higher. Let me know if you start feeling
a little dizzy. If you know where we're.
Going now, sorry to interrupt, it's just before we were
following Doolum and I trusted Doolum's path.
I mean, this whole thing's uncharted, and we're taking

(17:47):
right turns. I mean, I don't I don't being if
you don't trust me. Oh, I.
Trust you? Fine, it's just Doolum had the
map in its head and you don't. He's all you guys.
Continue heading through a couple more twists and turns in
the mining pathways, and eventually you're LED up some
old rail carts into another large cavern.

(18:09):
This cavern seems to be a bit elevated as compared to the
previous one with all the dead dwarves.
Here, however, it is much larger.
Where the previous cavern you were in was about the size of a
large living room, now you're ina huge cavern, end to end,
perhaps the size of a football field.
You see stalagtites, stalagmites, columns up and

(18:31):
down, and Jaya. The first thing thing you notice
in here is the putrid smell of old iron blood.
As you walk in, you get a betterview with the torch that you
have in front of you. Another graveyard of corpses,
this time more than the last. This looks.
To be a. Large workroom of sorts, or

(18:53):
perhaps a mess hall that was likely the center Chamber of
whatever an expedition is. Here you find large long stone
tables that look to be eater breeze.
You can see some old sort of dusty horns of goats or other
horned animals that were used for Mead, glasses and cups.

(19:14):
You see the old cutlery and plates made out of wood, carved
delicately and with dwarven symbols on the side.
Most apparent though are the skeletons everywhere.
You count 10/20/30 skeletons in this room.
They all look to be dwarven in nature, but as your eyes sort of
adjust to the landscape, you seethere's more than that too.

(19:36):
You see the newer skeletons of adventurers that look to have
perished in this room. Some of them have burn marks up
their old tattered clothes, others you see holes in the
middle of their chest as if a lightning bolt shot right
through them. You also find larger skeletons.
There are only two in this room and you're not quite sure the

(19:57):
age from a distance, but you see2 old skeletons of what looks to
be. Large creatures.
Their giant skulls give you perhaps the mindset of an ogre
or a giant, and they stand there.
Rather, they're skeletons that lie out stretch a good 1012 feet
long. Can I look at the ceiling?

(20:18):
You look up here, the ceiling stretches high.
You'd notice that there's sort of a strange dimmering light in
the ceiling above you. You hadn't really noticed it on
the ground here, but looking up you see a very subtle green glow
come from a few small sort of will of the wisp green flames

(20:39):
that flutter in circles above you.
They hide in alcoves in the tall, tall roof and they don't
seem to be doing much, just sortof sitting there watching
perhaps. Cute.
OK. They look newer, though modern.
They look identical to the strange sort of green flaming
will of the wisp that you saw just a couple minutes ago

(20:59):
dashing down the hallway. Ace.
I'm checking everybody to see ifit's Monty.
Give me an investigation check please.
Can I also do a general? Yes, go ahead, other.
Elegance, you want to help me out?
Oh, I can fucking help you. Sure, why not Jaya?
Maybe Oraface do it? Oraface actually does stand back
in, not investigate the bodies. That's.

(21:24):
A lot of death, or a face. This might be the most corpses
you've ever seen in one place. There were a lot during this
great siege of Circad led by Father Lucchese, but here there
are even more of these bodies, especially so many unusual
types. Giant kin.
There are dwarves and adventurers of all manner.
There seem to be any number of things that could have happened

(21:46):
to have caused this much death. I'll go ahead and pop my goggles
up off my yeah, as you know, on my forehead and just focus on
following around. Who?
Who is else? Is everyone?
Is everyone investing in the money?
Is there? Is anyone else hanging back?
Well, what I wanted to do was perfect.
There are some rocks and like just in the middle of the room
to see if there were any sort oftrap set or if anything would

(22:08):
trigger like that's how I wantedto investigate because I mean
some of them some of them look burned and we're a little bit
newer. So I'm I'm assuming that there's
something in this room that causes it to die it.
Was. So so I pop my goggles up, plug
my nose with one hand and just put my other hand on doodle
shiny head, follow it around. Got it.
OK. You plug your nose and sort of

(22:31):
hang back a bit for the rest of you who are investigating, could
I get your roles higher? Could you you give me?
Yours first, please. I got a 3020.
OK, that's a good role. You investigate the bodies
immediately looking for Cobalts.Quick search up and down, you
find there are none. No cobalt bodies here.

(22:51):
There is a goblin body but no cobalts.
You guys here higher like, audibly like.
You're right there higher. Sorry, just checking.
It wasn't his gourd, that one. He's looking for his damn
brother, you bitch. Oh, I thought he was.
Like losing the. Bodies.
You know how he does that? Last, last night I, I dreamed

(23:14):
that or not last night, I guess before we set out, I, before we
even came to the mines, I dreamed that Monty was dead down
here and a ghost. And I don't know, I feel like
the farther we get, the more it seems real.
I thought it was just a nightmare.
Oh, that's too bad. Dreams aren't real higher.

(23:34):
I'm sure it'll be all right. Yes, dreams aren't real.
I don't know. I feel like the further we then
the more we see down here, it's just hell.
Yeah, I can't disagree with you there.
Yeah. I'm sorry bud, hoping for the
best but I guess can't can't be too here especially being alone.
Well, hiding is what Monty does best, so if there's someone who

(23:55):
could hide down here for howevermany days, it would be him.
There you go. I'm sure you could some of these
rocks off the wall, they got minerals in them.
Well, he probably brought food. With him, I don't think the
concern is that he's stormed. Left down here.
I mean, if we're going off of that note we found earlier, I
believe that perhaps the crazed apprentice might have gotten to

(24:18):
poor Monty. Hopefully not though.
I. I give Samir a look and shake my
head. Like you're.
Not helping, buddy. Wow, there's a lot of dead
people here. Very interesting.
Check this out. This is an I believe this is an
ogre. He steps over one of the large
corpses and points at it. Oh.
Samir I don't, I don't know if it's the best idea to be walking

(24:40):
around all this. We don't really know what caused
them to die, if it was an environmental thing or if it was
an external factor. Well, you're investigating
yourself, aren't you, Jay? Yeah, I've got it 12.
I'm just throwing fucking rocks.I don't know if you should be
throwing rocks at the walls here, they look to have been a
few cave Inns. And not at the walls, just in

(25:00):
the middle of the room. Just talking them, okay?
I'm just going to see if anything fucking triggers you,
bitch, Okay, you're walking around.
With a 12 on your investigation, you sort of look around.
You don't find in sort of the main center area of this room,
you don't set off any traps withyour rocks.

(25:20):
You don't find anything that seems to be dangerous
Immediately. You do notice though, there
seems to be a still cold in thisroom.
It's colder here than the other rooms.
Did Madigas just turn that shit on?
I don't know. There's a campfire here.
I'm going to light it. Can we not burn the bodies?
Who the fuck said we're going toburn the bodies?

(25:41):
Jesus higher you some sort of like missionary.
Fire in this room. Got a horrible mind.
Oh. Sorry, it's not me, it's here.
How did most of the I mean like just from looking at the bodies
can I see which ones are a little bit more recent than the
others? Like do any of them hash on
their bones still? Yeah, yeah.
With the 12, I'll go on your previous investigation check.

(26:03):
You sort of Mull around with Samir now, haha.
Now who's looking at dead bodiesand you find that there do seem
to be 5 or 6 bodies that you find that still sort of has some
gristle on the bones. The clothing looks like a little
bit more of this era. All the dwarves that are dead
here look to be much, much older.

(26:24):
They just have this very ancientlook about them.
The bones are much more pulverized and sort of yellowed
in that old the, you know, the way that old archaeological digs
sort of do the bones. But there are a few corpses here
that look modern. These adventurers you see look
to the picked over pretty clean, each of them killed by what
looks like some sort of horribleblunt force trauma or maybe

(26:47):
magic, and whatever was on theirbody when they died was likely
picked from them by the the winner of whatever happened.
You guys sort of Mull around here bit demos.
You walk across to the opposite end of this large sort of
football field shaped room and find there is one table that's
sort of situated separately fromthe rest.

(27:08):
This looks to be elevated a bit.You have to climb up a staircase
to get to it and you find that there's a single almost thrown
chair behind this table. This looks to be where likely
the boss of this mining operation, or even if this were
to become some sort of dwarven, you know, the minds where one
might live. This is where the King of the
Minds might reside, sort of. Looking over the rest of this

(27:31):
mess hall, it's empty, but you do notice that the chair looks
very fanciful. I guess might as well take a
seat. You saddle on up to it.
Oh, when? I see that I'm going to take a
step back. Giant steps back, you saddle on
up to it. It's a beautiful stone chair.
You think it's some sort of marble or granite with veining

(27:55):
inside of silver. It looks to be all natural too.
They found some rock around herethat had beautiful silver veins
in it and carved it out in this brutalist shape of a chair.
It's quite nice. If it wasn't probably a ton, you
could easily sell this for several 100 gold pieces.
Nevertheless though, you sit down in it.

(28:17):
As you sit down, you feel the stone seat give way a little
bit, a pressure sensitive thing that slowly descends and then
clicks pretty loudly. I'm running away.
Begins running GMOs. You hear an audible whoosh and A

(28:39):
rush of cold air. All of a sudden, above you and
in front of you, from inside theroom, a figure, a shadowy
figure, flies at you at rapid speed, skeletal hands
outstretched and aiming at your throat.
Do you want to jump out of the way, attack or try to do
something else? Let.
Me choke you? Oh what?

(29:02):
Dang, I guess I would like to dodge rule.
Thank you very much. OK, awesome.
I'm going to need a Dexterity saving throw, please.
Couldn't be so good. X Strong 6/6.
That yeah, that's. Pretty low, yeah.
So that's actually not the DC. Turns out no.

(29:23):
What? I know it's.
Traffic Mason, double check. Oh, you know what?
I should. I'm sorry demos, You go to jump
out of the way, but this thing that's flying out of the air
seems to home in on you somehow and it slams into you as it hits
you. You feel cloth, fabric and you
get a brief glimpse of this thing as it smacks into you.

(29:45):
As you see this seems to be somesort of dummy, built and
crafted. It hit still hits you though,
and despite it being a a fabric exterior, you find that it seems
to be filled with metal ball bearings.
It's a large thing, about the size of a medium creature, and
as it hits you, the force behindthis functionally battering ram

(30:06):
slams into the side of you, hitting you like a £500 bean
bag. As it does so, it hits you for
Wham 18 bludgeoning damage, knocking the wind out of you as
you sort of get try to get out of the chair.
And then it. Stops.
I think my pride took more than 18 damage.

(30:31):
Oh look at that, Demos got hit by a fucking pinata.
What? What's just?
Happened to you? God, I was just there.
I was so afraid. Demos, why did you?
Sit there. It just it looked like such a
nice seats and I was and I really just didn't think, I
mean, who would who would trap the seats higher, higher better

(30:52):
than this? I mean, Jaya did throw the
rocks, so it should have been. Safe.
So true, Jaya. I didn't let him throw rocks
over there. You make great at the end.
Now you all notice this sort of dummy.
It looks to be modeled after a spectre or a banshee of sorts.
It looks like a tailor's work. There's a lot of cloth and

(31:14):
fabric involved, and you see it's hanging from fishing line
from high up above in the ceiling.
You look up now and see it seemsto be connected into one of the
alcoves that those green spiritswere hiding.
Hired. Am I just remembering or did you
say Monty was a fisherman? Once.
Oh God I really hope I didn't say that cuz I don't remember
saying. It roll a history check.

(31:36):
I was. Just he his job was to travel
and and help people like integrate into life like once
they got within the plane. So not a Fisher.
Maybe roll the history check just to be so tired.
I mean, I, there was a lot of water in my plane, so that was a
big deal. I, I get to totally see him say

(31:58):
in that a huge 19 on my history chart.
Nice. Hire you.
You had mentioned once in passing that Monty had done
fishing as a hobby, but he wasn't a professional at it any
means. OK, thank you.
Hire kinda forgets and then likesuddenly like realizes like Oh

(32:22):
yeah sorry the details of my memory don't always feel intact
as they used to these days. No, you're fine.
He's a mimic, I know it. No.
He. Looks at you.
If you guys were Zavrix right now, you'd freak out.

(32:44):
Hire's been playing Zavrix really well so far, you guys.
Guys, don't talk about Savage being able to impersonate people
in front of Jaya. It's going to play on his
Alzheimer's. Me alone I get flare ups but
that'll be fun. Sergeant, no offense, but you
had a flare up for like weeks ina bag.
OK, if you were in a bag, you freaked the fuck out.

(33:07):
I'd kill myself. Also.
Yeah, I don't know if I'd make it though.
I think I ate something when I was in the bag and I don't
really know what it was. Bag fruit.
Yeah, we saw some of that fabric.
Yeah. Bag fruit.
Yeah, Yeah. That's not very nutritious,
Jaya. I don't know if.
You're well, I was hungry and I couldn't see shit because I
don't have dark vision. I think you fucks forget that.

(33:28):
I'll revivify you if you die from food poisoning.
Thank you for your way to go. I see.
But I didn't go that way, OK. Yeah, OK.
Anyways. Who's gone out?
Who almost died the other day. I don't want to hear it.
Yeah. Yeah, you've.
Done it once you've done it 1000times, it's no big deal.

(33:50):
But anyways. Jason, can I check one more
thing, Can I check to see if anyof the bodies have like the
writing on it, like Jorah's handwriting like useless?
I think she had her own on one. Like yes, I would like another
investigation. Check for that.
Not 20. Very nice.

(34:13):
All right, higher. You move around with a Nat 20
investigation. Excellent role.
You do find there is some evidence of markings, arcane and
common otherwise on the very bones of these skeletons.
As you go looking, you actually find they're quite common.
The pulverized skeletons and those that look to have been
emulsified by magic. Don't have any writing, but some

(34:38):
of the more intact skeletons, many of the old dwarven ones as
well. One of the ogre has the same
common writing along the side. On many of the dwarves.
It reads along the lines of something like too distant.
One reads another reads too stubborn.
On the Ogre it reads an excellent subject.

(35:01):
Can I investigate that one? Which one is an excellent
subject? This large 11 foot tall skeleton
of an ogre that you find. You look it up and down, it
looks to be pretty old. There aren't a lot of clothing
or rags or anything tattered along the body of this ogre.

(35:22):
You find sort of a loincloth around its lower half, but
otherwise it's pretty empty. With your Nat 20 investigation.
I'll keep using it here. You don't find anything here
that seems to indicate that it'sbeen used for something.
There's just, it looks very clean.
None of the bones are broken, none of the specific parts of
the body that you might use for, say, talking or walking are

(35:43):
damaged in any way. It's just a very healthy looking
skeleton. Honestly, you just gather from
this that this is likely a creature that is to be
resurrected. The markings written on it are
new. Guys, I don't think she's
powerful enough yet to have resurrected something of this
size in power. It seems like she wants to.

(36:05):
Should we, should we curb stomp these bones into dust then?
You know, like just in case Like.
The aura face turns green. Now, Tamir, what did I teach you
about respecting the dead? That is not nice.
She won't be able to. We'll get to her first.
You know, that feels like we're taking a chance, but you know,

(36:28):
I'll and if it happens, I'll just blame it on you anyways on.
The Boo don't waste the spell. My my boots aren't spells.
I don't know if you're that's. Wrong.
Watch me. Watch me those.
Bones are pretty intact. Higher, I don't know if you saw,

(36:52):
but I got hurt a little bit overthere and like I just like need
the I need a little bit of oh. I need to know I.
Need to feel like. Sorry, sorry.
I I, I was thinking of Monty anddidn't want him to be here, but
yeah, yeah, yeah. As part of your investigation,

(37:13):
hire nice role. You heal for 19 demos.
I'm cured. Back up baby, back up.
As part of your investigation hire, you also find that many of
the dwarven skeletons seem to bein positions that indicated that
they were fighting when they went down.
Many of them are sort of stancedin such a way, or blown against

(37:35):
a wall sort of with a shield up in front of them.
You imagine some sort of battle occurred here as well.
The adventurers that are dead here that look to be old.
You think several months old, but it's not nearly as old as
the the dwarven corpses here also look to have died in some
sort of battle. All of the creatures here, in
many battles over many differentyears and time periods, have all

(37:56):
perished fighting for something.Interesting.
Like they got like petrified or you could just tell they were
like fighting. You could just tell from their
positions you're not 20 investigation.
You're very insightful in this. You could just sort of the way
this creature fell, you could tell it was squatting down when
it fell, squatted in some sort of defensive position.

(38:20):
What are you laughing at? It's like he was pooping.
We should leave these corpses alone.
It is not right to desecrate them.
I believe this might be a holy site.
Yeah, I concur. We can perhaps lay them to rest
if we have enough time. Put them in the bag.

(38:40):
But I don't know if we should resurrect these people.
If they're warriors like Higher says, then they're off to their
afterlife. They probably don't want to be
brought back. Well, I don't think any of these
would be brought back by Revivify.
I think it's been longer. A little too old?
Well, some religions and some practices believe you have to be

(39:01):
properly buried before you can go to your afterlife.
I hope these folks are not that case.
I'm going to be honest, I, I think that is a priority, but I,
I don't know if that's our priority right now.
Monty, first, of course, we should continue.
Is there anything valuable in here?
I don't think so, Not that I looked for.
No, I think this, this room's already been picked clean.

(39:23):
I think, you know, being a room we can't really expect from a
loot. All right, we continue then
forward. Forward.
There is an interesting room up here.
See a big, big thing now? Oh, then let us follow Jaya.
Oh. Yeah, I'm hoping that we can get
out of all the death area. It's crazy how many skeletons
there are down here. I guess I never thought about it

(39:43):
before, but when you die in a dungeon you'd sort of just stay
there, huh? Yeah, I'd also like to get out
of the death area. I don't know if it's going to
get better from here. All right, you walk into the
next room. Moving past this large football
field shaped room you find a passageway at the end by the
throne. This leads to a much more
refined, sophisticated room, tiled floors, walls and

(40:06):
ceilings. There's a flat roof here, which
is the first you've seen so far in this level of the dungeon.
This room has a massive machine in it.
You see a huge tall square like building made out of old dwarven
metal it has. Is next to it a billows that's

(40:27):
equally enormous, 15 feet long and about 10 feet high, that's
unmoving. The billows seems to be
connected to some sort of water wheel that's deep in a trench
that is completely empty. You imagine once long ago, there
likely was water that flowed through this trench, sort of
like a canal, but it is bone drynow.

(40:47):
This seems to have stopped the great billows, and in turn this
massive square object, which youguys now determine seems to be a
furnace of sorts, has gone cold.As a effect of this, this entire
room seems pretty cold. You notice a pretty significant
temperature shift as you all enter this room, at least 10°

(41:08):
drops. As you guys all make your way
in, you get a chance to look around.
Now the stonework on the walls and ceiling all seems to be that
old dwarven style, and you see there are a few work benches and
tables in here, as well as a fewscattered skeletons in this
room, none of which so violentlykilled is in the room before.
These seem to instead have been dragged here, likely from the

(41:31):
room next door. You're not sure for what
purpose, perhaps it was even by that apprentice, but they lie
out nonetheless in flat, very coffin like positions, arms
crossed over their torsos, legs out flat.
There are only three bodies in this room, 3 dwarves.
Could I again throw rocks? Yeah.
Basically a brown left. Big ass bag.

(41:53):
Sure, investigation. I don't know what are you
throwing rocks for traps? Come again?
Pretty much. Give me an investigation check.
Moving into this room now and getting a better look at it.
You guys all see that this furnace looking thing seems to
be a quite a feat of engineeringfor the time it was built.
Nowadays it would be quite common in any great factory, but

(42:15):
for the time it was built there's a pretty sophisticated
levering mechanism that seems topush heat from a lower coal
burning area to the upper melting pot chamber.
There's even a rail cart that seems to wind up to the top of
the box itself. Many of the rails that connect
to the previous room all seem tofeed out in here.

(42:36):
And here is finally where you see 3 mine carts all piled one
after another at the top of the sort of the slide that enters
into the furnace itself. You sort of have to climb a
steep hill on the way up. It's about 15 feet or a face.
You headed up. Yeah, no, I'm fucking running
there. This shit is so much cooler than
anything I've ever built in. I'm all over it.

(42:57):
I'm looking at it. I'm getting up in it.
Gosh, damage to me. And your people are so cool.
They're doing all this shit withfire and oxygen.
I'm like sticking my head into it, you know?
Ha ha, you must be confused orifice.
I am a golem. Oh well, you know, you're the
dwarf in her fish. Ha ha, OK orifice you go and run

(43:19):
around it. Give me a investigation check
for this. OK.
Well, actually. We'll do Jaya's thing first.
OK, we'll do Jaya's, but I just want you to roll in the
meantime. Jaya, what'd you get on your
roll? A9.
I got a nine what can I ask? I'll leave for help.
My is very. I think I'm fresh fucking out of
rocks to throw Jaya a lot. Could do it though and make fun

(43:41):
of you. You were supposed to be my best
bud. Oh, yeah.
All right, all right, fine. I'll help you out.
All right, Jaya. Let's do this.
Old man, old timer. Yeah.
Get another 10. Is that another 90?
It was. Just meant to be.
Malagus goes to help you. He's really not, man.
Just the same. You guys sort of throw some

(44:02):
rocks around. They ping around different
areas, just sort of wandering around the room a bit.
Jaya, you don't find any traps with the rocks you throw.
You do determine where the exit of this room seems to be.
You guys walked in from the normal looking passage and
elsewhere in this room you see that the trench that seemed to
have run water Once Upon a time has two exits.

(44:24):
One seems to be the direction where the water came from Once
Upon a time, and one where it exits.
Descending into the trench and following That path leads
through small 6 feet or so tall ducks that you can see lead into
other areas of the dungeon. So if you guys were to continue,
you would likely do it through these trench ducts.

(44:45):
You don't find any traps though, and you don't find any sign of
life in here. This room does seem nice though.
It could be worth looking aroundfor stuff in here.
Oh, go ahead. I think.
I think after the last trap damos would also be looking for
traps with like mage hand and just like poking and prodding in
the room. OK.
Would you also like to make an investigation check?
For me, yeah. I would like to help you demos

(45:07):
so you can have advantage. Thank you, Samir.
Anything. So Samir volunteers have PIM but
when I needed help all I had wasbitch ass cunt I didn't I?
Think it was the throwing rocks method.
Only 13. Fuck you my int is -1 my
dementia was kicking the fuck in.

(45:29):
Demos will do. You got a 13.
Yeah. Can you look around a little
higher than Jaya's knives who doidentify one thing just as
you're. You move around the room with
Samir investigating. You find there are some small
work tables in this room near the furnace and you find a few
more components of that furnace. There are some large what look

(45:50):
like crankshafts that seem to bebe a part of it and some levers
as well. Some coal shoveling shovels and
a few smudges of dark black coalin the ground which you can pick
up. You notice Samir grabs a chunk
of coal off the ground and pucksit in his backpack, gives you a
neutral thumbs up, but what you determine as you investigate
this room is on the ceiling. You notice a number of runes,

(46:20):
arcane runes, 1 carved in each great stone that makes up the
ceiling. As I mentioned, the whole floor,
walls and ceiling are all tiled stone.
Each tile is about 5 feet by 5 feet, and each tile in the
ceiling has a rune etched into it.
Can I try to read these arcane runes?

(46:40):
You look at them, give me an arcana check as you do so.
Orifaeus, I have not forgotten about you.
What'd you get on your? Sorry, now that we're done with
all those shitty investigation checks.
Mine was. You fuck you.
Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you my..39.
Fucking brain. I'm.
Like sticking my head in the topwhere the coal goes in, I'll
like crawl down in it as far as I can fit my shoulders and.

(47:02):
Jumping up and down on the. Gallows.
You're starting at the. Bottom like you start, you
slowly circle this thing. You just breathe it in.
It is beautiful craftsmanship. It's a giant.
It looked like this probably took ten people to run at any
given time. But the the worksmanship is very
fine. It looks like the water wheel
was able to completely run the bellows all by itself.

(47:24):
All people had to do was merely shuffle coal into the bottom
area and then wheel in metal to go on the top to get melted
down. You even see there's a small
tray at the very bottom of the giant furnace that looks to
collect slag of unwanted rocks and other things that were in
the metal to refine it further There even there's an ingot

(47:46):
press against one of the walls on the bottom that you notice
that looks to press the the metals into beautiful shaped
ingots curve around you look in it is empty.
You see on the walls is sort of a very fine film case of silver,
but it's it's nothing enough to be valuable.
You you ascend now up onto the with the rail on it going up and

(48:11):
up. Following you run into the three
minecarts in a row. All three seem to have huge
chunks of black and Gray rock inside of them, similar to the
many rocks you found around here.
None of them look valuable per SE, but you imagine the main
point of this furnace is to sortof melt away the unwanted rock
and keep the metal. And you approach the chute
itself, sort of dip your head down in and you find sort of

(48:35):
surprised looking back up at youperson.
What are you? Doing.
There you look down, you see a red robed Elvin man familiar to
you. I've seen him before at the
very. Close of the Hatch.
You do. You go for the Hatch.
The figure sort of looks something and goes wait, wait,

(48:56):
wait, and you go for the Hatch. Give me a strength check and
athletics check. It's heavier than you think.
Wait. Stop.
Stop please. Fuck you, murder.
That's a nine. You go to pull on it, it's
rusted. You pull and pull and pull, and
you're not able to close it all the way.
You just pull on it hard and it makes this guttural, nasty

(49:19):
screeching sound is you only getto manage to pull it a few
inches. The figure yells up at you.
Wait, wait, we can split it. Please hold on.
Split what? You notice now the figure is
deep in the furnace, and the very bellows of it, or rather
the base I should say, there areseveral large chunks of silver

(49:40):
ore surrounding him in the base of this thing.
They're all quite large, and you're not sure how this figure
in particular could manage to grab all of them, but
nevertheless, they're probably valuable.
And the elf has both hands in the air, raised toward you,
looking unassuming and goes, please, why don't you come on
down here and we'll investigate it together.

(50:01):
Molly back me. Up on it.
Sorry demos, no more rock throwing.
There's someone over there. Demos.
You're still looking up at the ceiling.
You. What did you get on your Arcana
check? 18.
It's a good role. You do read these runes.
They are runes of abjuration andevocation magic, and they are

(50:23):
charged. Oh is is does does it?
Do I like into it? Like like a way to activate
them? You look up, you don't see any
activation per SE, you just see them on the roof.
They don't, obviously, because they're magic.

(50:44):
Likely something around here could set them off.
You imagine there could be a pressure plate in the ground
that you haven't noticed yet. Or perhaps one of the levers
that you saw attached to the bellows could be connected to
these great arcane sigils in theroof above.
And they want. To go ahead.
They're old, right? They look old.

(51:05):
They were likely placed here by the dwarfs.
You can tell sort of from the the handwriting.
If you'd like, you can give me a, I'll say investigate.
No, a survival check. That's what I want.
I want a survival check to if you want to determine where the
source of this trap is. Sure, as you're doing that,
running up the side of the ramp now Malagus runs up.

(51:27):
Jaya, you're also running up. All right, you guys right up to
the top. Orifice.
You're on the top now. Malagus and Jaya run up to side
of you. OK, What is it?
Oh, well. Hello Doc.
I want to pencil dive through the hole into it.
Oh. What?
OK, it is a 15 foot drop to the bottom.
Yep. OK, I'll need you to bend.

(51:49):
My knees. It's a.
Pencil. No, I love you.
You don't. Want to try to lower you in
there? You're not even a rope like.
I'll need you to make a an acrobatics check to land.
Yeah, baby, can I remind you that you died twice?
Like just last to. 14. I roll.

(52:10):
OK, I'll roll. If I gotta roll, I'll roll.
Yeah, no, that's good. So you'll take half damage from
this fall, which was 8 falling damage, so you take 4.
No. You guys think healing is free?
The second you hit the bottom ora face.
Yeah. You see the elf in front of you

(52:33):
immediately reach out and touch you.
Get. Away.
Can I try to dodge it? He he reaches out and it's, it's
sort of surprises you. As you do so, he rolls to hit.
OK. OK, does an 18 hit.
I have a question, was I alreadyhurt on this day and 18
definitely hits. Well, had you written down any

(52:53):
hurt? Yeah, I guess I was hurt today.
Would you get hurt by I might have healed you?
I I honestly, even if you did, Ithink I fucked it up by not
writing it down. So I'm hurt.
I'm hurting. You're hurting over there.
At 18, totally fall game hits. OK, this figure in here does not

(53:14):
waste a moment to reach out and grab you and cast Inflict
Wounds. I'm so sorry.
You're getting a surge of necrotic energy burst through
you as you do so, and he smiles at you with this horrible grin
and you see this hatred and anger in his eyes as you are

(53:35):
smited for 21 necrotic damage. OK, you still up?
No, All right with that dude. The rest of you guys want to
roll a quick initiative for me. Yeah.
Yeah, I guess. I thought you couldn't kill
yourself in D&D. It would be different.

(53:57):
Why would you think that? Why Literally, why would you in
New York? Anything.
Mason Police Punisher. God damn it, can't got a.
Holy shit, damo Snatch 20. Oh, nice, Orifaeus, I'll roll
for you because you're unconscious.
Thank. You Oh my God, I get up.

(54:19):
I. Wish to do that I gotta.
I am so sorry. You like Midway going in?
I just didn't think it would go like this.
I thought I was on full health. Turns out I was past bloodied
and then. Past.
Bloodied. I didn't think he was gonna hurt
me. All right, so to begin this

(54:41):
quick little encounter, Demos, you're up first.
You hear a horrible screech as Orifaeus seems to yell out in
pain from high above you at the top of this great furnace you're
15 feet below and a number of feet away from.
What do you want to do? This probably won't work, but
the first thing I'll do is, well, actually, can I see him

(55:04):
from where I'm at? You cannot.
The only line of sight of this creature is through the very
small chute at the top. You don't see any other way?
That makes things a lot worse. Just to give you something to
work with, what did you get on your survival check?
I think it was like 13. OK, that's pretty good.

(55:26):
You look around and you determine that at least the
arcane symbols in the ceiling seem to likely be activated by
some sort of mechanical switch or lever.
There are a number of them around the furnace itself.
One of them is especially large and has a beautiful black Onyx

(55:46):
hilt that is up against the sideof the furnace.
You have no idea what it's used for, but it you know, it looks
nice. That could be it.
It could be something else around here too.
OK, noted. Noted.
Jeez I honestly just my cast mage armor and be done with it

(56:09):
and then like move and that might be it.
OK, you cast mage armor and you begin moving up the side of the
ramp. So higher you see demos throw on
some mage armor and start dashing up.
What do you? Want to do God.
So I didn't really see what happened and I didn't really
hear it that well either. I feel like or or do I know?

(56:31):
All you heard was Orifaeus scream out in pain.
It was very masculine, manly. Like that Orifaeus.
Sorry. And then I'll cast Bless.
I'm seeing. Do I have to see them?
No, it's just within range. That's fucking crazy.
You don't have to have live sitefor bliss.
Yeah, so I'm gonna cast Bless and run up 20 feet.

(56:57):
Good turn, though. Next you heal Samir.
Cry out, Orofeas, are you all right?
And he whips around his backpack, and he throws out
three of his little poker balls. This costs his action though, as
he summons three of his summons, you see a small fox, a bird, and
the frog. Hopscotch.

(57:18):
They all appear out in front of him.
They do not move yet, though they'll move on his next turn.
Next is the elf. This smug red robed elf down in
the bottom of this hole sort of cackles to himself.
Your friend will die down here now.
That's what you all deserve for gilding with such

(57:40):
disgracefulness as the rats. May you all perish here.
And the figure reaches up their hands and speaks some arcane
words as an intense wave of pressure wafts up the side of
this great furnace. It reaches the top and just as
you feel a mounting pressure at the top of the furnace from Jaya

(58:01):
and Malagus, those at the top, it inverts and pulls in quickly
this pulse wave. Holy.
Pulls downward with an extreme force.
Jaya, I need you to make for me a Constitution saving throw.
Does the same as you feel an intense pressure, almost like

(58:23):
gravity pulling you to the ground quickly.
On this +5 baby, which is surprising.
Giant you get pulled to the ground harshly.
You got a 23 on your consultation saving throw
though, which is a good save as you feel this pulse wave inflict
a force on your body. You take half damage though of
66. Holy low roll Christ.

(58:45):
Wow, that's a horrible rule I got.
That is a fucking terrible rule, holy.
Shit, let's. Go great.
OK Jai you only take the total was 11 damage so rounded down is
five damage. Malagus who is not good at
constitution got a Nat one on the save so it's going to take

(59:05):
the full 11. But to Jiah you take 5 damage as
you're pulled to the world the ground.
Another effect of this wave of force is that the large cap of
this great furnace with the thing orifice was trying so
desperately to pull down is thrown down with great force and
closes loudly and metallically fling, echoing throughout the

(59:27):
room. The entire room.
The furnace itself is now closed.
You hear it echo out and silence.
This wave of force, this sort ofgravity wave that this wizard
seemed to unleash, closed it very firmly.
It could be hard to open. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That Jaya Europe.

(59:48):
Can I try opening it? You look at it, it is closed
tight. Give me an athletics check to
open it. The DC is 15. 15 See.
How many turns we can go at this?
Athletics. Athletics, yeah. 15.

(01:00:14):
Wow. We're so strong.
This is our strong. I'm so strong.
Well it's because my dex is high.
Throw open the Hatch with a 15 strength.
It is ridiculous to me, by the way, that you have a + 0 to
strength and yet you took proficiency in athletics to be
able to get over 15. Oh my God.
This was not an efficient character building.

(01:00:35):
That was on purpose. No, I love it, I love it.
You throw open the Hatch to findthe elven sorcerer is gone, no
longer in this box. Instead you do find Sir
Orifice's body crumpled in the dirt and silver, or in here sort
of bludgeoned up a bit by it looking pretty unconscious.

(01:00:58):
Jaya, you still have a bonus action and movement.
Is there anything else you'd like to do?
Can I Chuck his body up? Or like, can I?
Well, no, it's 15 feet down, isn't it?
That's right, it's 15 feet in this hole.
If I jump down I'll like crush his body.
Now you can maneuver around it, though you might take falling
damage. That's fine.

(01:01:18):
At my full I'll go down. All right, well, you did take 5
damage earlier. That could be big for you.
Fuck you. Wait when did I take 5 damage?
From the pulse wave that affected you, you jump down,
leaping as you do so. Give me an acrobatics check as
you land. Oh, oh, it's my highest stat.
You're but I come in your pants. You just can't be.

(01:01:43):
Yeah, I have a + 6 to my dex. Plus.
She. Might she might no see, I I made
his intelligence really, really low because I knew he was going
to be not good up in the brain. But this man can maneuver so
well you have no idea. All right, John, we'll smack the
ground, rolling as you do so, only taking half of this falling

(01:02:07):
damage. The total was 2, so you take one
damage. Stupid, stupid bitches.
You think you could damage me? As you smack the ground hard, or
rather kind of soft, rolling next to Orpheus, you see Orpheus
crumpled in a pile. You see that Orpheus has black
marks along his sort of torso and neck, creeping up telltale

(01:02:31):
signs of necrotic damage. Oh, don't know what that means,
so I'll just grab his body. You grab Orpheus, lifting
gingerly up this small form of awhat you just a little human
girl? Average form.
Average sized form. And that right there will end

(01:02:53):
your turn, Jaya. Next up, Sir Orpheus.
Orpheus you awaken in the you look around white are all around
you. You think, OK, I'm maybe back
home, but then you look beneath you and you don't see a ground
either. And then you all of a sudden you
begin falling and falling. A sense of Vertigo tightens

(01:03:18):
itself in your chest as you lookaround.
You don't see anything in any direction, just white and
falling and falling. And it's frightening, it's scary
and you feel fear bubbling up inyour chest and you're falling
and falling and I need you to roll me a death saving through.
So. Scary.

(01:03:38):
It's a four. That's a failure.
You continue falling. Now you look down.
You don't see a ground beneath you.
It's the same endless white, butyou feel like you're going to
hit something any second. And the fear is overwhelming
you. Now you're not home.
You're you don't know where. It's horrifying.
And that is that is your. That's your turn.
Orifice who's scary? Doolum, you're up next.

(01:04:00):
Doolum. All right, I guess I'll try to
start making my way to the top of the.
Of the furnace. Crawling around the long way
does take a bit of time. Do you want to just use your
action and movement for this? True All right, you let's see
51015202530354045505560 all right you get about to here on

(01:04:24):
the map just about halfway up the ramp a tad in front of
higher cool. You see Jaya throw open the top
of the lid just as you Crest thetop here and you see him jump
down into the what you imagine is where the metals go inside of
this great machine. This is probably like a distant

(01:04:45):
cousin Doolum, this great machine.
Nah, fuck with you. A malagus is like almost prone,
though it looks like he is laying down and he's got some
blood dripping out of his nose. You see him though, and it's his
turn next as he crawls up to hisfeet, using at his movement
wiping the blood up. Fuck that fucking hurt.
Jesus, what sort of shitty spellwas that?

(01:05:06):
Or a faez. You're right down there.
Shit, fuck I, I don't. He reaches around.
Rope, rope, Dulum, you have a rope, right?
He points to you. Yes, you on that.
OK. Yeah, Brett, bring it over.
I'll try my. Best right down here.
Actually. Hold on, let me move 5. 10. 1520
to grab it from you. Here we.

(01:05:28):
Go. He grabs the rope and then goes
another 2530 to get back and that is Malagas's turn.
He begins dropping the rope downand calling out Jaya Kosar Climb
and Demos back to top of initiative.
It's your go. You're climbing up.
All right, let me make my movement first.
OK, what happened in there? I don't know you got it some it

(01:05:49):
looks like his body got damaged by some necrotic magics.
Was. There somebody in there, or was
there a trap? No, there were somebody in
there. Was that one elf did?
Did I get to meet him or was that before I met up with you
guys? Is he knows?
You saw him briefly, I think he walked through and was an
asshole and we told you he was amurderer.
OK, It was there that. One murderous elf, the one that

(01:06:12):
that you guys had encountered prior to my realization, prior
to me gaining consciousness again.
An elf, huh? Yeah, he had like, fuck you, I'm
telling the damn truth. He had like.
A revenue about 10 years. OK, well believe me or not,
whatever I need you to help me get up with with Orifius.

(01:06:36):
Got the rope all right, Demos, you curve around the edge of the
ramp. Now, I know Forge drags you off
the side here, but here I'll pull you over the edge here.
So you are now on top of the thing.
Thank you. So what happened?
You said the elf was here. Yeah, where did he go, Giant?
But I don't know. He's not here.
My main my main concern is with Orpheus.

(01:06:59):
Yeah, that's not good. Did he just, did he just like
run away like? I don't know.
I didn't see anything. There was just a big whoosh.
The lid went down and then I popped open the lid.
I dropped down and went inside and he's just not here.
And I just want to get, you know, this.
I want to get where I face out here so he can get healed and
then then I can look further after that.

(01:07:21):
Are we still in danger? Is the danger so present?
I'm going to look after that. Are you in the danger?
Breathing exercise. He uses illusions.
He could still be in there, or there could be a secret exit.
That don't make me feel too goodabout that.
How about this? How about this?

(01:07:42):
Let's get our faces, body back out there.
You guys take care of that malagus.
You come down here with me, we can go take a look.
Wait, I've got the rope though. I'll help you get back up.
Or you could get the rope to somebody else.
Or demos. How do you feel about jumping
down here with me? I don't know.
I'm still it's it's weird that that elf is is still around

(01:08:02):
somewhere. I'm gonna.
It's weird, but. I'm gonna make sure he's not
here. So I'm gonna I'm gonna cast
detect thoughts, love it and usethe sense thoughts.
Very nice. I like this new use of detect
thoughts, as I mentioned. Yes.
All right, so you detect the presence of thinking creatures

(01:08:26):
nearby. You've got a range of what, 30
feet? That's pretty good.
All right, you wander around here for a second.
Immediately demos. You pick up a thought in the
face of this furnace. You feel Jaya, you feel the sort
of flittering, dying thoughts ofOrpheus.
And there is for sure 1/3 creature in there as well, one

(01:08:51):
with evil thoughts just five feet away, right behind Jaya.
Oh, oh, I'm going to look like directly like behind Jaya, and
I'm just going to be like, like, hey man, how's it going?
You say that. No response.

(01:09:12):
Jaya just sort of looks up at you.
Demos has lost it too. And I'm just gonna, I'm just
gonna keep looking at where where I sense the thoughts and
then I'll be you send it all. Right, higher.
You're up next. I dash forward 20 feet, which is
a slow speed. Pretty good.
But then I take my action to dash, so I want to get like

(01:09:36):
right in front of the hole. All right, you're looking down
in the hole. You see Jaya and the corpse of
Orpheus. Cool cast healing word at second
level and I'll do it. Honestly, I'm I'm so sorry.
I'm going to do healing word at first level but.
No worries, I deserve it. Well it's I just, this will be
my last second level spell slot,so I'm just it's more important

(01:09:58):
to get you up right now than to heal you fully.
No, I I agree. You're making me vertical.
Oh God. And another corpse that's.
Another ugly corpse. Good God I.
Heal you for 11? You wake back up.

(01:10:19):
Thank you, I'm basically back upto what I watched.
At the beginning of the session,it's.
Unbelievable you were that low, Samir calls out.
Behind you is autoface. All right, I'm him, and his
creatures start running. The bird gets there 1st and sort
of claws at the roof of the thing looking down, calling
mechanically. What happens?
Oh Jesus, I think he's probably still in here.

(01:10:41):
That's invisible bastard. What?
There's someone here. Samir ends his turn, and now you
all from the top, see as something, a person, a shape
appears, pulling their way through the shadows of
invisibility behind Jaya, and presses a hand to the back of

(01:11:01):
Jaya's neck. The veil free emerges.
Jaya does a oh, another dozen 18hit.
Jesus fuck you, yes it does. All right, this villainous
creature shocks you full of yet another Inflict wounds as
necrotic energy courses through your body from the neck down and

(01:11:24):
then back up, burning through your body as you take Jaya A
whopping oh, oh, that's cute. Oh my.
God. Oh, inflict points is a spell,
right? It is a spell.
Could I counter spell? Oh yes, you.
Under mouth. Oh.

(01:11:47):
Very nice. Yes, you can.
You must. You hold out your hand and you
snap as let me think it is he's casting it.
At. 3rd. Level so it just automatically
happens. Demos it your counterspell, you
feel it slip out of your hands and the inflict wounds
disappears. The elf looks down at his hands

(01:12:08):
as a you took away 32 damage outfrom underneath him.
Oh my God that would have left me 6 HP.
The figure looks up at you and curses and goes, How did you
know I was here? Can I say, buddy, I'm a master
and you're an amateur? Oh dameless, you're really cool.

(01:12:34):
You fuck and the figure looks upat you now and then weaves in
between their hands a fast moving red magic.
This looks to be some sort of speed up spell of sorts as the
figure will use the magic quickly and disappears once
again. Could we see that?

(01:12:56):
You, the guys at the top, all ofyou guys could see this?
I asked Doolum. Well, I'm at the bottom right
so. You are nothing.
It does look like some sort of meta magic.
For those of. You who are arcane in nature.
The figure disappears once more, though in a puff of wispy white
cloud, and is gone. That's the end of the elf's

(01:13:21):
turn. Back around to Jaya now, who
felt cold energy for a moment atthe back of your neck, but now
nothing. What would you like to do?
OK, do I see him? You turn around, nothing.
It's dim light. You'll just see orifice in your
hands and you don't see anyone else in this room.
It's not a very big room. It's mostly just, you know, soot

(01:13:41):
stained walls and chunks of rockaround the floor.
OK. But I felt a hand on my neck.
You did hear. You heard a voice and felt a
hand, but as you whirl around you don't see anything.
OK, is it but movement to swing my arm around or is that it's an
action? It's just a role to hit.
I think he left, I think, I think he escaped the the

(01:14:03):
chamber, so you might want to come out.
Oh, OK, well first let's get ourface's body back up.
Demos you still have now Wait, why is?
That slow? Forgot about that.
No demos. You still have a dingling in
your arms. You still have to tech thoughts
up right demos. It's true, I'm still

(01:14:23):
concentrating. Then you actually still feel the
mind of another down there. Oh, he's still down there.
He's still down there. He doesn't have teleport.
OK, cool then. Then yeah, try He's he's still
down there somewhere, I guess. Oh, OK, OK.
OK, that's cute. That's me.
Why climb up this rope? If you feel another person
climbing up the rope, we'll snipit.

(01:14:45):
Once Jaya and I are out, we slamthis thing shot to turn on the
bellows. Well, he got magic before that.
I don't. Know about that?
Oh, that's fucking awesome Orifice.
Yeah. Start climbing, Jaya.
You get up here. If I carry, orifice and bring
her up, will that that'll take my movement and my action like

(01:15:09):
it or is it? I can.
Climb my own child. So just be like.
You don't have to use like your action or your movement.
It's just movement to climb up. It's so there's a rope, so you
guys just have to climb up it. She was asking if she carries me
with her. I'd need you to roll an
athletics check to climb while also carrying somebody.

(01:15:31):
If you'd rolled poorly, then things might go.
Can I help by like koala ING really good?
My hero supposed to be a corpse picking me up and.
Picking me when when's your turn?
Right after you're OK. Oh, then I'll just.
Yeah, you can still carry me. Oh, it was just like release in

(01:15:51):
like. Did you come back fucking?
I mean the Orifaeus? Jesus.
Get some. Fucking.
Human attention just for Orifaeus.
I'll carry you up all. Right, give me an athletics
check. Athletics, you get an that one.
Yes, I want an athletic check like.
Squishing me. Wow.
All right, Jaya, it takes half your movement because you're

(01:16:14):
carrying somebody, but you, or rather it the, you know, you
move it half speed, but you climb up the rope with Orpheus
long over your shoulder, sort offireman style.
And as you get to the top, you have exhausted your movement,
but you and Orpheus have now successfully exited Malaga sort
of lumbers to pull you out, grabbing the rope as well and
goes, oh, nice. That's well done, General

(01:16:37):
Sergeant. Whatever.
Got some strong muscles there friend.
That was fucking awesome. I'm dangling upside down with my
hands over my head. That was the coolest thing
anyone's done for me, Jaya. And Tam kiddo, you can always
count on me. Just another day.
Like to have a father? By your father figure now.

(01:16:58):
No, nothing. Of course not.
You still have an action. What would you like to?
Do What if I just shoot down there?
You'll roll to hit at disadvantage.
Yeah. OK.
Well, I mean, I'll just shoot and see if I can hit the bitch.
All right. Or if I guess you're up next

(01:17:18):
then after this just on deck. Oh yeah, I'm on deck.
Oh wait, you said disadvantage. Oh God.
It's 2 bags that wasn't that 20.No, no, no.
Would have been another one. OK, 13.
A13 does not hit you or your strike goes wide and you hear a
ricocheting as your bullet echoes off of the many walls in

(01:17:40):
the in the room down there. I need to look back at my
character. Did I get the ability to to two
like 2 like to shoot twice go? Ahead and start looking into
that. Can't remember.
Oh God, you can. You can go on to the next turn
and we can just pick it up afterthat.
I need a or. A face.
What would you like to do? I'll pull the rope up.
Okay, you start dragging it up. Malagus helps you out.

(01:18:01):
Nice. You guys are looking much more
alive than just a second ago. It's a good thing.
Thank you higher. God bless Ather bless you.
As you're pulling, you suddenly feel a snag as it gets a little
heavier. Perfect, take out my rope, cut
off the end. OK, you go and start sawing it
off. Just for reference, Dulum, did
you give them your nice magic rope that sort of unwinds itself

(01:18:23):
or was it just simple rope? No, I would have given Malik a
simple rope. Yeah, well, that makes sense.
Well, you can subtract 10 feet from your simple rope, OK, as a
spool of it goes sailing down asyou sort of hear a audible thump
as it hits the ground and something else kind of heavy
with it smacks into the ground at the bottom.

(01:18:43):
Demos are still stints of presence.
I want to yell after the rope pulls.
What's your name, Murder? A few seconds go by and then the
figure appears out of invisibility, shedding their
cloak, appearing once again as this red robed elf and looks up
at you and goes no wait, we we can discuss this.
All right, This was all a misunderstanding, OK.

(01:19:06):
What was your name? What was your name?
Why do you keep saying was? Sorry, what?
What's what's your name? I don't want to share it with
you. Perhaps if you let me up.
I want to start going. To push down the the cap.
Oh, wait, wait, wait. No.
Let's discuss this. All right?
I literally, I didn't mean to hurt you, I just thought perhaps
you were. Competition is all.
You start. Pushing.

(01:19:27):
Keep pushing. Yeah, Unless you get an answer,
I'll keep pushing. Give me an athletics check.
OK, what if I OK, No, there's noway Athletics.
No, you got this. It has.
Oh, it was almost a natural one,but instead it was a 13 -, 1, so
a 12. OK, 12 is enough to close it.

(01:19:48):
You slowly start dragging the thing down.
It's heavy though, and it's not very quick.
But you slowly drag it down. Slow and sort of when it's
halfway. Give them another chance.
Watch What's Your Name Again? Just shut the fuck up and left
me up here right now. I'll.
Close it the rest of the way. Wait, stop it.
I've got you like I did those last adventurers.
You're nothing. Nothing, I say.

(01:20:09):
Damn fucking Wizards and counterspelled bastards and you
shut it. Cling.
The voice goes silent. Shit.
I'll sit on top of it, so I didn't really want to burn him,
but I feel like he's not giving us a lot of other options.
Can we kill him in a way that doesn't permanently kill him?

(01:20:30):
So he could possibly be revivified?
That's the other option. I feel like we should just leave
him in here, you know, give him some time to think about what
he's done wrong. Like that, but the worry is that
he'll come back and be a problemfor us later.
Well, but you know, we could just like lock the top here or
put a big heavy boulder on it. I don't see him coming out
unless he's got some sort of teleport magic, but if he did

(01:20:52):
he'd already be out. I will say we don't know what
he's capable of. He can use magic.
You know I would have. Wanted to hurt and kill this
gentleman if he had been fighting back, but now that he's
sort of trapped it feels slightly unethical to kill him.
Yeah, it feels worse now. It's like it's not really a
fight so much as like a murderer.

(01:21:14):
But he tried to murder, you didn't.
He. Yeah.
And he honestly succeeded. And this was terrible.
I didn't do. You guys hear a lot banging
sound like someone knocking BangBang bang from inside of the
great furnace. You guys have successfully
neutralized the threat, so we'regoing to exit initiative now.
I know this might feel like an execution, but if we had stabbed

(01:21:38):
him he would have died instantly, and in the same way
us all getting out of there and closing the door killed him
instantly. He's already dead.
There is one downside. Jesus.
Higher. Just one thought though, which
is a bit of a greedy thought, but you might agree with me that

(01:21:59):
there is a lot of silver ore in there that could be profitable
for us and he's in there with it.
I don't see a way we get to thatsilver ore without hurting
ourselves further. Oh God, Maisie has a bunch of
really fun, really terrible wayswe could kill this guy, but,
well, there's gonna be a lot of coal dust around, so we could

(01:22:21):
just cover the intake, shoot with coal dust, and suffocate
him. I love that idea.
Fucked up. Horrible.
Nice. Next.
I mean, you could just turn him into an ingot man, it's right
there. Oh, there's just so many fun
things we could like, pump into his air supply like, that's all.

(01:22:42):
Samir has also made his way to the top now and he throws his
hands on your shoulders, Demos and sort of shakes it back and
forth. Was that the counter spell?
That was fucking awesome. Oh yeah, it was.
I see you. Practice, but I've never seen
you do it so successfully in person.
Demos. This is incredible.
We should celebrate. Oh, thank you, Samir.
My goodness, yeah, I don't know.It just sort of, it just sort of

(01:23:03):
came naturally as soon as his, his sort of shadowy hand came
for child's throat. Looking awesome, I come
naturally. Malicus.
Well, sorry about that guys. You know, wasn't my best moment.
I went to hell, so I feel prettypunished for it already.

(01:23:25):
But you know if there's anythingI can do?
No, no, it's OK. Sorry you died.
No, it's fine. I mean I've done this before.
Don't even know if it really counts as dying, which I do
here, but it felt. Bad this time felt.
Scary. I'm sorry Iceland found a way to
torture you. Where did you go?
I don't know where it was exactly, but I was like falling

(01:23:48):
eternally in the void instead offighting valiantly at Queen of
Seaside. It felt very purposeless.
That's where you're from. No, sorry, like, you know, like
how some people will say like God like.
Dramatically. Oh, I see.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess it's now.
Sorry. We don't really like to talk

(01:24:08):
about this. Kind of a downer.
Sort of more my problem than ourproblem, you know, so we could
also pop washer into him. I mean, there's a stream nearby.
What? Yes, hey, higher you can, you
can create water right? We can just.
A gallon at a time. That is fucked up.

(01:24:31):
You know what they say. How do you drown an Elvin man 1
gallon at a time? I really like the coal dust idea
because that means we could salute him afterwards.
Thank you. I'll do my coldest thing or
anything else. I just, I need one of you guys

(01:24:51):
to tell me it's what I'm supposed to do.
It's Orophaus. I grab you your shoulders and I
look in Orophaus. I look up at your eyes.
I push my goggles up. So, so passionately I I say this
is what you were meant to do. Yes Sir, I'll go start gathering

(01:25:12):
coal dust in my hands. Jeez, way to take advantage of
them. That was good demos.
All right. You begin collecting coal dust
from the large pile of coal and shoving it into the import pipe
of the bellows. It's readily available in dust
form, and you find all you have to do is just sort of stuff it

(01:25:33):
full. It only takes but a few minutes
to set this whole situation up, and eventually you've got it
packed full where all you have to do is jump on the bellows a
few times to pump the entire room full of this gas.
I'll hop up there, start pumping.
You know it's. Weird.
I'm pumping it into the furnace, you know?
Yeah. Cool.
It's just so unusual, Oro. You know, it's like some

(01:25:54):
executioners, they like flip theswitch on the the guillotine or
they hold the axe. But you, you're just jumping up
and down, you know, have you thought about every jump?
You're taking a man's life. Just sort of weird.
Well, it's sort of like the firing squad, because I don't
know which jump kills him. You guys, you're banging from

(01:26:15):
the inside now. Bang.
Bang Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang Bang.
Bang Bang, Bang, Bang. Bang Bang.
Bang, bang. It gets louder.
Bang Bang, bang, bang, bang. The smear turns away.
I don't want to see this. I feel nauseous.
And my dream ether could not seeus down here.

(01:26:36):
I hope that is still true. I think.
He's you, buddy. Demos crawls up after you were a
fan and pushes down once more, and you hear.
Bang Bang, Bang, Bang. On the inside, and all of a
sudden a loud cacophonous boom shakes the entire furnace.
The top. The top gets blown.

(01:26:58):
Off that idiot. The ladies thrown skyward.
You see a cloud of ash and dust thrown after it, pressure
blowing the thing off the hinges.
Do I? Do I still sense his thoughts?
They're gone. Look, and you see clouds of ash
pouring out of the rooftop of this furnace, and there is a

(01:27:20):
heat emanating out. You see cinders.
He somehow started a fire in there.
Thank God. That fucking idiot.
It's. Kind of crazy that in his last
moments he was struggling to start a fire just to score on
us. He probably just didn't know
what the fuck was going on. He just felt poisoned his lungs.

(01:27:41):
Little did he know. Put fucking gaseous combustible
shit in there. Yeah, well, if it didn't take
him out immediately, the carcinogens would have caught up
to him. Arsenogen.
The way you think about it, you at least didn't give him cancer.
Yeah. I sort of pop a squat.
I didn't see the body but. I I still.
Feel a little. Sick about that?

(01:28:03):
I think we should move on and not think about it.
I'll go take a look. Come on, let's go look demos.
Me too. Let's go.
Let's go. Yeah, I had a bunch you guys
walk off. You see, Samir still has his
head up against the wall, I think, he noted.
Did you? Did you think that was the right
call? That is not how I would have

(01:28:24):
done it. Oh, but I but I asked Damos
though, and I thought you and Damos so to be in agreement
about. These sorts of.
Things you know I've come to learn through this adventuring
that me and demos do not agree on as many things.
As I thought. I push, I present my goggles and
just push my palms into my eyes.It just sucks because I I think

(01:28:46):
you're a very upright, moral person, but you won't always
tell me what to do. And so I thought demos could be
the goal between and. It seems like that is not what
you would have told me to do. And now I.
Feel very It's all right, it's all right.
Demos's initiative was good here.
Frankly, I did not have an immediate solution which is why

(01:29:07):
I did not offer one. This seems like a no win
scenario and I was just trying to come up with something that
could be work worthwhile, but I suppose now that it is done, it
is done. Oh yeah.
Honestly I am glad that the mageinside decided to fire Ball
himself. I feel like that is at least a
much more quick way to go. Yeah, OK.

(01:29:30):
Demos. You peer over the top now.
Incineration is all you see. You see the pieces of slag and
chunks of rock that were in herehave been half melted.
The walls on the inside of this great engine are covered in ash
and dust. In fact, there seems to be some
denting on the inside of the metal from where this explosion

(01:29:53):
seemed to have damaged the inside of the furnace just a
hair. You notice that the exhaust
ports, this teeny tiny hole at the very bottom that likely was
where the coal was coming out, has been blown wide open, and
you now have a pretty large viewto the bottom of this furnace.
It's been destroyed. It can't be used anymore and you
don't see any remains of the of the wizard, not even a tattered

(01:30:17):
scrap of cloth. Ark Damn you really.
Did spite us. What a bitch.
Yeah, that was lame of him and and he took out like an A door
of an artifact too, which is just so disrespectful.
Yeah, you know, like sort of rude.
Oh well. Hey, good job with the bellows
though man. Now I just give you a grin.

(01:30:40):
Well, you know, you know someone.
Someone had to take over. Yeah, you're a tough son of a
bitch. I like it.
Those two fucking mopy heads points to Oraface and Samir.
Look at them. They're all like feelings, you
know? Exactly, Malgus.
You know, sometimes, sometimes you just got to, you got to do

(01:31:00):
something, you got to stick withit.
Yeah, you know, you got to do what you got to do.
You'd think a knight would know that.
How can you are a friend? Like was Damos always like this?
Yeah. Yeah.
I would like to point out this wasn't Damos's idea.

(01:31:21):
Thank you. I turned, I turned to Doolum.
I said I understand you, but this person that did that thing
today, that's certainly not who I was an ether.
I don't understand myself anymore after what we just did.
I kind of put my hand on your shoulder.
I guess we're all trying to findourselves in a way home.

(01:31:43):
I guess we are the lost and found.
Thank you. I mean, I'm.
Sure, the starter would have. Agreed with that right?
What up? He's some kind of lost and found
I'm. Going to do it where we cut to
the title every time someone says that Allah invincible.
What is the title? The auditory title.

(01:32:06):
Rundt Pack goes playing walking,Colon, Doolum and the Lost and
fans. So it's just like an audio clip
of you saying that. Yeah.
Nice. All right.
Onward, Sergeant. You want to lead us somewhere?
By the way, You approved of thatplan, right, Sergeant?
You've been in war. You would get it.
Yeah, I mean, I wasn't opposed to it.
It wasn't. It wasn't the most noble way to

(01:32:27):
kill someone. I would have done it in a
different way. But no, I mean, it was going to
die in my head, out of the way he was bound to die.
Onwards and upwards man. On onwards and upwards.
Wait, do we want to take maybe ashort rest for a moment?
No, we should just keep going. Please.
OK. All right, Yeah.

(01:32:48):
This is the door over here. Demos fell the door.
Demos, you approached this door off to the side and it is
locked. Or a lock picker.
Lock picker. On it.
Or a face. You make your own machinery.
Oh my God, 23. My.
God I. Fucking fall into the world of

(01:33:11):
gears and well oiled parts. Far, far away from moral
conundrums. Click, click.
Click. Click.
Click. All right.
What were those words you just said?
Tinker with it. I think, I think that was
poetic. I think that was in prose.
What can I say? What they teach.
Me in the book lines. Speaking about books and minds,

(01:33:34):
or if it goes, what was that book you gave me?
Wow, that was a great segue. That's an incredible, it's we
just found it. I don't.
Know you read? You waste your time on those
things, so it's yours. Now.
Oh, Mason, if I flip through it,is it like anything interesting?

(01:33:57):
Give me an investigation check for that.
As you're doing that orifice, you're going and picking the
lock. This is a small door off to the
side of where the minecart tracks lead at the top of the
ramp. You hadn't noticed it from the
ground floor, but there seems tobe a small door off to the side
here. It's also worth noticing that

(01:34:18):
Demos you noticed when the bellows was activated earlier
and you were stomping on them and causing the poor man inside
to suffocate right at the momentof explosion.
The runes on the ceiling glowed brightly blue for a few seconds,
then slowly fainted back. Just worth noting, Aura Faeus a

(01:34:42):
22 is excellent. You feel a click as you tumble
all the well tumblers inside of this lock successfully.
Just as the last one clicks, youfeel the door unlock and then
you hear a ticking sound. I book it the fuck over here.

(01:35:02):
Our face. You jump back, give me a
Dexterity saving throw. OK, OK, OK.
Not one of my batters, not one of my Worcesters.
Yeah, that's going to be a 5. Five.
That is not good. You unfortunately do not dodge
out of this trap fast, no. Use you guys.
Or get. Thrown open, slammed open, and

(01:35:25):
on the other side you see some sort of really janky makeshift
crossbow trap set up with twine and bits of rope and what looks
like some sort of very cheaply made mechanical little timer.
As the door gets thrown open, the rope pulls on the trigger
mechanism of the crossbow and a little bolt gets thrown at out
at you, flying towards you as itshunts into your back as you run

(01:35:49):
away, dealing 2 piercing damage.I would never get killed by this
Ferris Bueller ass trap. IB Take.
Open the door, Monty. You look inside, you find yet
another what looks to be one of those resting barracks similar
to the one you were in before. There is yet another campfire in

(01:36:12):
the center of this room, alreadylit as well.
You see more chalk on the ground, what looked to be in
Monty's handwriting. This looks like another place he
might have been resting. Hi, your brother is here.
I want to stick my hand in the fire pit.
Is it warm at all? You reach in.
Yeah, it feels warm. Recently.
Wait, but I feel like this way we're getting closer and I

(01:36:34):
thought Jorah was the other way. This this feels like good news.
Yeah, I I agree. That we're on the right path
maybe? I'd say so.
Good. So does the 13 reveal all the
book secrets? Mason. 13 You begin thumbing
through the book. It's not very riveting.

(01:36:55):
It's sort of like a historical tale about basically it's it's
very mathematical. It's First off, it's written in
sort of a shorthand common that you recognize as like sort of
dwarven in nature. Like whoever wrote this book was
not that they did not have common as a first language.
So it's not that complicated of language, but it seems to
describe pretty complicated things such as the distance that

(01:37:17):
two rivets need to be placed on an iron bar to well sustain
10,000 lbs of rock above the head.
It also details how much strip mining one can do before gaining
miners fatigue. It's all also very old.
You recognize there's a small date thumbed in on the first
inside cover under the name, which looks to be the name of

(01:37:42):
the author that reads Lover Lug Orc Sword.
Lover Lug. Lover Lug writes and you
continue thumbing through more about just like the general
history of under mountain mining, some small success
stories and failure stories and mentions digging into a few
large caverns. What they found in there, what

(01:38:03):
they had to fight in there. It details.
At some point they found a groupof undead skeletons that were in
a pocket of a room that they killed.
They also found a room that was really cold, full of frigid
blocks of ice down here that they melted away.
Way to find veins of silver beneath them.
They're just stuff like that. It details the instructions on

(01:38:24):
how to build a forge undergroundand the dangers that come with a
smokestack in a basement. Very interesting orifice.
I'm surprised you didn't like this book, it seems very
mechanical. What do you think I'm gonna do?
Sit down, open it, look at one page, then the next page, then

(01:38:47):
the next page? Get serious tables.
You're right. How silly of me.
All right, in the restroom you find some scrawlings from Monty.
It reads on the floor. A couple things.
First it reads. Fellow adventurers, I found
Jorah the lost apprentice in these mines.
She seems unwell. I will follow close behind to

(01:39:12):
see if she's dangerous. Then another note beneath it.
I believe she's teaching the dead.
They don't ask questions, only obey.
Not sure why. Still gathering information,
another reads, going back up to the surface for supplies.
We'll be back in a few days. If you see this and are
completing the same quest, wait for me.
Perhaps we can team up. Question mark.

(01:39:34):
So if he's going back to the surface and this is still warm,
but I will say it seems like hisother nightings in the last room
were more decent, right? Because back then, well, let me
let me check what he said. He was talking about fearful
dreams he was having and that hethinks that she will find him
next to turn him into a student.Yeah, that feels like something

(01:39:57):
he knows after she's teaching the dead.
But this fireplace is still warm, so I don't think I checked
how warm the other one. That's such a fucking rookie
maneuver of me, but I just. I feel like he's already come
back since then, but I don't know how.
He must not have left for his supply run right.
You'll also notice, and higher you identify this best, that the

(01:40:20):
notes in the previous room you guys were in were written with
much more haste. They were sort of smudged and
frantic, but these chalk marks are patient.
There's of a Monty who was had some had the time to write this.
This sort of leads you to believe that the other markings
might be recent, as they indicate more of a hurried
nature. Dang, so he was probably when he

(01:40:42):
set up the trap then he. Looks super.
Janky. Yeah.
Take back what you said about mybrother's trap.
Well. He's not harsh of this, or I
mean it was clever enough, but it.
Worked. I mean he looks like shit
higher. Let's be real, it only did 2
damage to orifice. Come on.

(01:41:02):
I'll do 2 damage to you, Malagus.
Oh, yeah. All right, put him up.
He throws up his fists. Yeah, fucking pussy.
Now I guess punches like a drunkdog.
Yeah, sharp and mean and kind ofdrunk.
You also find this room seems tohave a couple a few satchels

(01:41:25):
around the room of small adventuring supplies as well.
You see a few tattered rags in the corpse, like old dwarven
clothes. Would you guys like to do?
Well, I suppose this means Montywent the other way, right?
Yeah, I do think this means we're going the wrong way.
Should we go through the fungus now?
Well, there was another way leading off the forge that looks

(01:41:47):
like it would go in the same direction as the fungus room
here. Follow me.
Run back to the forge. You.
Do run back. I did notice we did take a left
here and if we had taken the tunnel it would have been a
right. Just a thought.
Whoa, you've. Taken.
That who let us take a left I mean the most?
Was leading so. I'm so sorry.

(01:42:12):
I'll sit here and wait for my boys to catch up.
You guys maneuver around back inthe room with the great Fords.
You descend into the trench where the water used to be.
You notice it's a well carved trench, and it also is tiled on
the bottom. Looking around now, you notice
that the rooms on the ceiling ofthis room are now all slowly
fainting, faintly glowing blue. They're not doing anything

(01:42:34):
though. They're just glowing.
Nevertheless, though, you guys descend into the trench and
follow it. You have to duck down through
one of the corridors, ducking into what looks like sort of
like a trench or like a sewer. It travels about 15 feet until
you come out into what looks like a destroyed segment of this
specific tunnel. Where the tunnel was previously

(01:42:57):
well tiled, now it is all destroyed and clumped up and
looks to be natural cavern. Again.
This looks to be the out port ofthat great tunnel that would
have carried water as you find ahuge pool of water deep in a
ditch that looks to have worn away at the edge of the caverns
for a bit leaving a small dry Ridge for you guys to walk

(01:43:18):
around. Looking inside the IT is deep
and sort of slushy. You don't see much else in this
room. There are no corpses and there
are no identifying signs of life.
It looks to just be a cavern filled with water and a small
Ridge around the edge for you all to belong.
You find there's some small trickles of water leading from

(01:43:39):
the walls into the whole great sea of water, and you even
notice seems to be a slight tideto the water, as if it connects
to a much larger body of water. I put my finger in it and lick
it. It's salty.
So can I look at the rocks? Are they wet where the water
hasn't touched them yet? Or are they dry?

(01:44:00):
You look around on the Ridge. It's wet very slightly, though
you hadn't noticed it before. But yes, you see that the rocks
here have a slight wear and tear, as if they have caught
water every once in a while. You look down now and you sort
of put the pieces together. And so they're wet right now.
They're not wet right now. They're I guess what are the
levels of wet right there I'm. Trying to figure out if the tide

(01:44:23):
is coming in or going out. Though the rocks are slightly
damp, you watch the water for a bit and you notice that it seems
to be going down. OK, tide's going out.
We don't want to be here in like12 hours though.
You think it floods? This, I think it's very well
might at least flood to the furnace room.
No, very clever. That is good orifice.
It is just like so. Yeah, it's just like after last

(01:44:45):
session someone told me I'd had to play my intelligence high
enough, so there you go. Good job everyone lock in, look
for traps. You guys look around here.
There seem to be in this room. There are or two more exits to
this room. Off to the left of the Ridge,

(01:45:06):
circling around the body of water, you see one long
cavernous tunnel and off to the right another long cavernous
tunnel. Which way would you guys like to
go? Right.
Never left. All right, you guys go right,
Jaya. The second you turn a corner,
you see a person. OK.
You nearly bump into them. Oh, where I'm oh, that thing
right there. You turn the corner and nearly

(01:45:29):
bump into this figure. The figure turns back and looks
at you with a skeletal glare. Another zombie or undead
creature looks at you and goes watch.
It turns back around and shambles forward, barely moving
5 feet per round. It sort of stumbles and then

(01:45:50):
waits for a second, and then stumbles and waits for a second.
You guys make your way in this room now of sort of following
it, and the air gets yet another10° cooler.
You now see your breath in frontof your face.
It's cold. Good things hippos got thick
skin. Hope y'all bitches stay warm.

(01:46:13):
I'm shivering. I've never felt the cold before.
It's very cold in here. The zombie moves another 5 feet
and waits and waits. Yeah, Jai.
You sort of move past it. It doesn't seem to really be
like bothering you. It seems to have a mission right
now. You push past it into the next

(01:46:34):
cavern, and you see the following sight.
Following the adventure into thenext room, you're LED into yet
another large open cavern. Though what stands out in this
one is there is a building builthere.
It's absurd and kind of hilarious to see it, but sort of
up against one of the walls of this great cavern.
You. See a.

(01:46:55):
What looks like a a school? Some sort of academic building?
A library perhaps? Or.
An Academy. You see high arched roofs of
stone, walls of stone, no windows that you can tell, but
there's a staircase right up to the front, double doors and a
couple side doors as well that you pass around.
It's built into the wall, but it's completely stand alone

(01:47:17):
otherwise with roof doors and walls.
It looks extremely out of place here, and you notice an stream
air of cold emanating off of theroof of this building.
You can practically see the frost building on one of the
edges. As you walk in more, you notice
one of the alcoves on the wall glistens as if it's a beautiful

(01:47:39):
diamond. As you sort of get a little
closer giant, you notice it's actually a giant wall of ice
sort of caked into the wall, nestled slightly in there.
You see this block of ice is flushed with the cavern wall,
but there seems to be a bit morespace behind it, filling about a
5 by 10 little space and frozen still inside of this block of

(01:48:03):
ice is. A.
Corpse. A skeleton of some kind, or a
zombie. It's frozen still, its body half
snarling with a hand outreached. It looks violent, but it's
completely encased and embedded. You can't see any way it could
get out. It's frozen solid.
Can I see kind of how far it goes or do I notice that it just
goes to that little like? You look in it, it only goes in

(01:48:25):
a little alcove, it doesn't go much deeper.
You have no idea what caused this though.
The adventurer that seems to be the undead creature moves
another 5 feet forward. You look around more, you get a
better view of the Cabernet. There is a large room basically
around this strange school building, and you also notice a

(01:48:46):
few silvery white rocks up against the edges of this room.
On. Closer inspection you notice
there are beautiful bright whiteveins of silver running in the
rocks, glistening in your torch light.
These look beautiful and not just as rusted and dingy as some

(01:49:07):
of the others. You think taking a pickaxe to
this for, you know, a few days you would likely get pounds of
silver? Oh that is very nice metal.
Samir notes as he walks forward.Yeah, this is.
High quality. If we could harness this, it
could be used in spell casting or alchemical creations.
He sort of looks down at the endof the cavern.

(01:49:27):
Wow, there's so much here. There might even be enough to
create a golem. We can think about harvesting
that later if if, but it almost feels a little too good to be
true. The zombie steps forward once
more. I guess I I want to try to open
the door. You approach a door on the side

(01:49:48):
of the great school building Jaya, and as you go to pull on
it, you feel it's locked. But as you pull harder, no, it's
not locked. You notice the latching
mechanism. It's working, but something is
holding it fast. You look around the edges of the
door and you see tiny flecks of frost and ice.
Oh, so it's like frozen and shit.
Whoa. Yeah, it looks like it's frozen

(01:50:13):
solid. The undead adventurer takes
another step, walking sort of bumping into orifice along the
way. Watch it, I'm late for
schooling. Oh my God, he's going to school.
I. Really can't stomach these

(01:50:34):
things it's just ohh. Guys, I think we found Jora.
Professor Jora has new students. No, she doesn't.
Guys, what do you think caused this to freeze up in there?
It's all I can't get through that shit.

(01:50:54):
I assumed Jorah made it so that the bodies would decay blower.
Oh, ain't that just so intriguing about her, huh?
Clever hire. Wait, but that's bad for us,
right? I mean she has more sick.
Hired your brother Monty doesn'thave any magic, right?
I mean, some rogues do have limited magic.

(01:51:19):
I didn't know him when he could do magic or when he even was
roguish. OK, I see it.
How long has it been since you've seen your brother?
I don't know how long it's been for me or I know it's only been
a bit for me, but I don't I don't think I understand the
extent to the time dilation for Tick.

(01:51:39):
She had been sent away for yearsin her time and I don't know
when Monty left and when Tick left.
No offense, but his shitty fucking trap in the earlier room
tells me no magic. That's a good point.
Bear. Little offensive I.
Don't know, arcane tricksters are pretty bad.
He might have not had a magic that could be late as a trap,

(01:52:00):
but probably not weak shit. Hey, listen, once we save your
brother, can we go at this vein of silver here?
Malaga sort of steps up on one of the big rocks and points at
it. This shit looks valuable and my
eyes are sort of like gleaming in it.
I try to put a hand on Malaga's shoulder but I like can't really
cuz I'm too short and I say oncewe find him we can collect all

(01:52:24):
the silver you want. OK, sounds good.
I'm sure our cobalt like 3 feet.3:00 to 4:00.
Let me check my head. On DMV beyond.
Zombie takes another step forward.
This undead adventure looks to be lower level.
You'd imagine cheap clothes, cheap boots, a cheap sword

(01:52:45):
hilted around, a cheap belt on this figure.
You don't see a lot of wear and tear on this this adventurous
clothes other than just like thenatural moth eat in this of a
cavern. This looks to have been a young
upstart this. Guy but did I see one when he
bumped into me? Give me a perception check at
disadvantage then. Sounds good.

(01:53:06):
Just so you all know and you seesome mirrors.
Up next to the. Wall.
Of ice. Staring at the zombie inside and
goes I believe this creature is still alive in there.
Alive or undead? Oh ha ha.
Undead. It it it could move if.
Freed I I really just I think dead things should stay dead

(01:53:27):
and. I I hate this it's disgusting.
I don't think it can really harmus from there against.
I don't even. Know if it's?
Meant to in general, yet exactlyit's against nature it this is
just a student. It shouldn't be anything
anymore. All right, what'd you get on
your roll? Aura 13, OK.

(01:53:48):
Yeah, you actually did see a Guild symbol.
It's. Dulled now.
But there is a dull red aura of the I mean, I guess you just saw
it out of the corner of your eye, but you saw a raised fist
with a circle of red around it. You do recognize.
This as one of the guilds that you had seen.
Up above it wasn't any of that you guys had a lot close

(01:54:08):
connections with though. Cool circling the building more
Jaya, you're still taking the lead so you.
Get a better look. You notice.
That there's more shining silverrocks in the walls, and on the
other side of this great building that seems to be built
into the side of the wall is yetanother giant block of ice, this
time with two undead encased inside.

(01:54:31):
The zombie moans and takes another 5 feet forward, heading
toward the. Entrance of the building.
Hey so should we like stop this guy?
Well, let's slow it up, buddy. Malika sort of steps in front of
him and pushes against. His shoulders.
Stop. I'm late.

(01:54:52):
I must. Go.
He's going to tell Jorah. Not so fast, buddy.
We've got some questions for you.
Why don't you sit down? Can't.
Hey, we're guest the lecturers today, bud.
Only Professor. Jorah teaches I need.

(01:55:13):
No, that's OK. Jorah told me that that we were
going to talk to you today. I need to.
Enunciate I'm running late, please let me.
Buy ah, Jorah did say you would resist.
It's just freaky, you guys. It's.
Like a monster, an undead littlething, but it's talking.
Oh, it's so gross. I suppose we.

(01:55:35):
Should ask nicely about this thing.
No, hire, don't. Club it.
We should talk, hey. Buddy, why don't you tell us who
is this teacher of yours, Professor Jora?
Yes, we knew that. Anything else?
No. How?
How about what? Is she teaching you about?

(01:55:57):
The. Arcane, she says.
The weeds. Through the undead I am
incompetent, as she says. Only have learned Mage Han.
That one's really hard, right Damos?
Oh yeah, only the most. Advanced students I know know
how to catch that. One many other students do more

(01:56:20):
though, follow her. Bidding and practice.
Do you not practice? Yeah.
What do you do for work? How do you practice?
Supposed to practice on adventurers.
Like you, but. Right now I must go attend the
class. Please let me buy.

(01:56:42):
So does that. Mean she's in there right now,
yes. You look behind you and you see
the ominous. Giant building with no windows.
So school just got dismissed. Feel like you're a little.
Hot on that one, buddy. Sorry, I was trying something.

(01:57:05):
No, it's. Great, but you know.
The time will come. So for inspection you notice.
That the 2 front double doors ofthis.
Building have. A very.
Very faint green light emanatingout from underneath it.
The green light ebbs and flows. So were we planning on

(01:57:27):
confronting? Her or are.
We just going to go after Monty?Well, she may know.
She probably knows where Monty is.
We unfortunately or if she might.
Have an idea? I, I have a, a plan.
Oh, she's having a. Class for the undead in there.
Right. Yes.

(01:57:48):
Yes, so I could walk in, see if Monty's.
One of them if. Not walk out.
We look for Monty. We don't have to fight her.
What if she's not undead? What if she recognizes all her
creations? Well, I know you want to be but.
Yes, as higher just said, you might be.
Recognized as a living breathingthing with a heartbeat.

(01:58:08):
I guess I do have a heart. I I I sort of thump at my chest
to see if I can make. It stop.
OK, you're right. We should go into the classroom
well though Orafias's. Plan isn't exactly without its
merits. Perhaps we could.
Send in doolum for instance one who does not have a heartbeat.
The only problem is doolum you. Would.
Likely have to lie about yourself.

(01:58:29):
Do it. Well, I wouldn't lie.
How about, say? Facts that are advantageous to
you. Maybe if she asked Audio, one of
my students, Dylan could say I am here to.
Learn. Yeah, that sort of thing that
seems a little conversationally.Unfair.

(01:58:55):
I'm just. Saying there's a second guy.
Here, who doesn't? Have a heartbeat.
Did that hurt your feelings? I didn't.
I Yeah. Yeah, a lot actually.
I understand. I'll no.
I mean, it's insult. I'm just Dulum can't live.
It's you, you can. I think no, I'll I'll go in.
Sorry to put you in the unfair spot Dulum you keep to your.

(01:59:17):
Values you are a strong able bodied autonom who don't need no
man. Yeah thank you.
If you would like, you could. Put people in the.
Bag to take with you. I worry bringing in a magical
artifact would put me in danger. If this is a necromancer wizard,
as we're all guessing, they could have the ability to sense

(01:59:38):
and detect magic like Demos does.
And take it from me, we should make you look undead.
Okay, I don't have a makeup. Kit though, No worries.
I just want to grab him five sleeve.
And pull him back into the waterroom and pick up a handful of
mud. This will, this will work.
Please that you're gonna roll onthis.

(02:00:00):
This will work. This is.
Good. This will make you look so.
Dead. OK.
All right, Orifaeus, give me a performance check to rub this
shit. On there.
So are we sure it's not sleight of hand?
Because historically. This is a gnat, one that you're
you're trying to perform. You're making him perform, so
that's that's what. We're doing right here.

(02:00:21):
Good. You might also accept in a
deception check my 2. Worst stats?
Are my options here I'll do performance.
In the meantime, hey, so why don't we pull this undead guy
aside and give him the? Talking to.
Here we go, buddy, please stop. No, it's all right, buddy.
Listen. We're going to need.
You to go in with someone? Does that sound good?

(02:00:43):
No, I need to get to class now. Ah, shot it Demos.
Can you like, break this guy's jaw so we can't talk?
I don't want him ratting. Out our secret I I glance around
and see if Samir is in the same.Room see if Samir is.
Out so is Orafius. What was your performance?
Five. No.

(02:01:03):
Historically it is bad. Higher was right.
It's really. Funny but I I feel like how bad.
Can this go? When I'm willing to just keep.
Putting on mud on him until he looks pretty undead.
It's good for you to get dirty sometimes, you know?
I feel like you have this sustained.
Clean mentality. That it's just not tenable.
No, no, this is awful. This is bad.

(02:01:24):
There is a difference between looking dirty and looking.
Undead. And I believe you're just making
me filthy and there's no purposefor this order face.
I have to ask, can you please stop?
What else? How else?
Are we going to make you look dead?
You slopped on a lot of. Mud He.
Looks at you and you see a pleading.
Look in his eyes as he goes. There has to be another way.

(02:01:45):
Can't we do the sky self? I don't have that.
Do you have that? I believe Demos knows it.
I think the self. Part of that spell is.
Not applicable to you if. Demos is the one who has it.
God. Okay, there is something else we
could do. What is it?
You know, sort of. And he grabs one arm.
Onto the other. And he slowly pushes in with his

(02:02:08):
fingers and you see him indenting the outside of his
skin as the clay gets pushed in,forming an indent.
After a few moments of molding, he pulls his hand away and it
looks like a nasty broken arm. That's fucking awesome.
It makes. Me uncomfortable.
And it doesn't feel right, like it doesn't feel like my natural.
Person but incorporate this in and with that he gives you

(02:02:30):
advantage with Pearl. Please roll again.
So bad, so bad roll so bad roll.Give me one.
Let's see one. Come on.
Oh, I saw a spin on the 20. Oh my.
God broke his arm for nothing. You see that and you're like,
oh, alright. I've got a great idea and you
just. Grab mud, he'd throw the.

(02:02:52):
Mud on can. I.
Like put a thumb on his forward and be like can I, can I?
He nods. OK, I want to push a little.
Indented Deuce forehead. You push.
Awesome, that's so. Gross and cool.
It's soft, it's much softer thanyou think, and you don't feel
any bones behind it. You could just keep pushing.
Oh my gosh, it's squishy all theway through.
That's crazy, man, He looks. At you and gives an awkward

(02:03:14):
smile. Can you squeeze through small?
Holes. No.
Oh shut the fuck. If I lose a certain amount of my
form, I cease to be Oh I. Still pushing his forehead.
And we're not supposed to flash, right?

(02:03:35):
He gives. A neutral smile.
It's OK, we are not nearly close.
OK, yeah, don't worry, I'll fix you up real.
Good. After this, excellent.
Thank you. You all did.
So, well, last time I know rightthe.
Eyebrows and everything. Yeah, I mean.
I fixed you up better. Than Malicus, he's still all
fucked up in the face. He does not remember it because
it's just two episodes ago, but I.

(02:03:55):
Like it's a time. When I was blown off and and it
kind of drew them back on real threw them back on with some
sharpie. I drew them very well.
I think it was an. At one, yeah.
And. Orifaeus, as you're sort of
sitting alone here with Samir, he sort of goes just.
While it's us Orifaeus, I want to tell you something.

(02:04:18):
While I spent many, many, many years alone in that.
Forest. Dimension of the lizard folk
Well, I just. I thought I had a.
Perfect memory part. Of being.
A construct, right? Same as Dulum, but while I was
there I forgot some things. Things I never really wanted to,
but they sort of drifted. And I think it's probably like

(02:04:40):
human memories. Which makes me happy because
that means I am more human than I thought it, but sad because I
forgot a lot of conversations that you and I had that me and
Demos had that I had with the group I see while it I was able
to put myself. Into a stasis.
For a majority of that time, it.Still feels like.

(02:05:01):
I have not seen you guys in a very long time and I just feel a
little awkward right now. He sort of gestures in a down.
This is stupid, right? And he points at his clothes.
I don't know what I'm doing. It was like you're ready for
anything, you know, that's a good.
Trait in a person. I I don't know.
I am trying to pretend like it'sall normal.

(02:05:22):
But I feel very awkward about it.
Well, I don't think you need to feel awkward, but you also don't
need. Wait, pretend it's all normal?
As in, pretend that you didn't forget anything, or pretend that
you're accustomed to adventuring?
Both. I am so horribly anxious about
adventuring. The last time I went out, it
went. Very bad for me.
Or it it did. I don't your group left, but

(02:05:45):
that's what you're worried about.
They left me orifice. We're not going to leave you,
you know. That right of course, but you.
Can't. You can't ignore the the the.
Reason behind my fear? It's.
Still there? No.
I I don't blame you for being anxious.
Obviously I. You know, I've learned pretty
well in the last few weeks, but that's not something you can

(02:06:07):
control here. But we're not going to leave.
I mean, you know, Tamos wouldn'tleave you for the world, and
neither would the rest of us. But I understand that.
I guess to you it seems like we're friends from a long time
ago who found you. But what you are to the rest of
us is someone we only met a few weeks ago, and we already liked
enough to jump through a crazy man's portal to hope you might

(02:06:31):
be where we ended up. He sighs, closes his eyes, and
then gives you a neutral smile and goes.
You're right to the. Face I'm overreacting I'm always
right well I don't mean you're overreacting because you've been
through a lot of shit I. Just, you know, sometimes it's
OK to feel how you feel, but it helps to know that other people
don't feel the same way and yourfeelings aren't going to change

(02:06:54):
anything about reality and. Hopefully over time.
We can do something to change the way you feel.
Does that make any sense? Your reasoning is perfect.
Actions implore the universe. Emotions do.
Not they cloud it, sure, but youknow you can't always help
emotions. These emotions, our heart
perhaps. Yeah, I was out of my element.

(02:07:16):
And trying to employ them well Idon't show I mean I don't out of
your element don't worry we. Should get.
Back. Now and Samir stands up straight
and starts rhythmically walking back.
OK, try to do it with a limp this time.
Oh, OK. And he starts.
Limping rhythmically. Yeah, that looks.
Great hop step, hop step drag. OK, a little dramatic.

(02:07:38):
Tone it down 5%. Drag.
Drag. Too much dragging, more hopping.
Hop, hop, hop. No, way too much hopping.
And you guys? Make it back.
To the other room. In the meantime, about 5 minutes
had gone by. What?
The rest of you guys have been doing Jaya.
You push the adventurer away andthe the undead adventurer keeps

(02:07:58):
trying to stumble back, moving slowly toward the door.
Do you want to try to How do youwant to stop him?
I just want to keep pushing him until he starts getting.
Mad he he is, he is consistent in what he's doing.
He seems absolutely. Sure about what he's doing,
Mason? Can I swing at him in the head

(02:08:19):
with my holy? Mace.
You. Approach the creature up next to
Jaya. It looks at you.
It's jaw. Missing roll to hit you mong
girl. Sorry.
Does this Mace have a plus to hit?
Or it just does double damage toundead?
Does anyone remember it deals anextra 1D6 damage if against an

(02:08:41):
undead? OK, my 2 D 6 - 1 was 3.
But I got a 17 to hit. Oh my God.
My character is. -1. My.
Character is 2 foot 4. I just just want to remind.

(02:09:02):
Everyone of that 2 foot 4 unfortunately higher this
adventurer did have. Four hit points.
So your three damage just wasn'tenough to kill it as you bash
them hard It goes as a white holy light shines for a moment.
Oh. Actually, actually.
I'm so sorry we cannot have. This done, I have a feature that

(02:09:25):
I've never gotten to use before because I've never had an
attack. Can I do savage attacker?
So I rerolled the damage. You took savage attacker as a
feat? Yep.
But you don't. You didn't have a melee weapon
up. Until now I can't explain.
It. Yeah, yeah, go for it, you get.

(02:09:48):
To re roll both. Dice and take.
Take that. That is fucking insanity.
Oh my God, I got the. Same roll.
Higher, it's the same. Roll.
Why did you take Savage? Attacker.
Why didn't you take Wheeler? Really.

(02:10:09):
Funny. Are you a savage?
Attacker you have a -, 1 to hit.+2 to hit.
So. It's +2 then.
Or it's +3 then -1. I just wanted to test out the
cool Mace. My DM.
Gave. Me.

(02:10:31):
No, it's, you know, you hit it looked cool.
You know there's a shine. Of white light, it looked very.
Holy. But it.
Didn't die fucking. Higher finish the job.
I can't believe you took that. Shit as a.
Fee Route 2. Let's go champ it out.

(02:10:53):
AC of 11, higher of 11. I just.
I really. I can't.
Wait for you guys to enter this.Room and if you have to save
Monty and I just the Nat 20 wentto this you did it Nat 20 that
was a perfect. Threat you would this this for
zombie rolls to the ground. Starts rolling around.

(02:11:17):
Desperately. Shaking and shambling, you just
bring down the. Fist of God.
Right on his the temple of his head.
What was the harder damage? All right, that was good. 10
damage. You crack.
Down with the might of. Zeus.
And you see a blinding white light for a moment as the
creature and your hit crushes its skull to dust.

(02:11:39):
It falls dead. Does that feel good?
No. All right, so.
Orifice. And Samir return.
With. Samir wearing some.
Pretty. Hideous fake undead makeup.
All of you guys see it, It looksbad it it.
Looks. To you guys, you see for a
second you're like, oh, Samir looks really dirty.

(02:12:01):
And then it clicks for you're like, OK, that's still a person.
Though it doesn't look like an undead at all.
At all. It just looks like someone threw
a lot of mud at him and right behind it.
Orafheus looks very confident inthis look.
Smiling. Gleefully.
Fuck yeah you guys look at that limp.
It's perfect. Samir looks.
Awkward though. And he looks like he is not at
all going pass. As a zombie.

(02:12:23):
All right. This is the plan.
Are you ready? Good job, Orafheus.
Thanks, guys. I don't know.
Should we have backup nearby? The clocks, the backup.
Someone stelson behind but. Doesn't go in.
Into the. Class itself.
I kind of want to see if we could melt this door right here,

(02:12:43):
you know, just take a little peek.
Inside that could be a good idea.
We could do that. I just I don't know if we want
to put all the marbles on the Samir.
Plan just cuz orifice no offense, it doesn't look that
good Yeah, no higher was lying to you and yeah no, I I really
think it looks good. You know.
Sometimes people do that inside.Check inside check.

(02:13:07):
Sometimes. People just do that to you
orally. I know it's sad, I just.
Like I'm convinced. Dirty 20 Air says it with his.
Full chest it's. A three on me.
I love the Tamal. I guess I don't know what your
fucking problem is. You.
Just don't like that I'm better at everything than you are.
All right, you fucking have at it.

(02:13:28):
What? Nothing, Just getting some new
slang going. Sergeant, do you believe this
plan is ready? Are you prepared?
Yes. What's your war plan?
We're gonna storm the front gates like.
Omaha Beach. Let's get it.
OK, you heard the man. Let's.
Get it? So wait, does.
My makeup suck or. Not because I don't want to send

(02:13:50):
smear. In if I did a bad job.
Well, if Pretty Little pissy girl Doolum can't lie.
Go ask it. Do them.
I don't know about the rest of the.
Words. But.
Does smear I'm dead? It could, perhaps by about one
second. Very optimistic doolum.

(02:14:15):
It could give us a chance to swim through the doors.
Surprising your eyes go bows. OK, it sounds like this plan
sucks and is bad and we should do something different.
Doolum did that not did that conversation not feel.
Unfair. No.
It felt quite fair for the situation.
OK. You know if we.
Need somebody to pretend to be someone else.

(02:14:35):
I've seen demos use. Disguise.
It's true. It's true.
I mean I. Guess I'm not too modded.
Not too well. Well, read on the art.
Of necromancy and and. How well she'll be able to like
detect you know, like if I walked in, would you be like,
oh, I I don't control this one, but I don't know that's a good

(02:14:58):
point. But look at Samir over here.
You definitely do better than him.
Sorry man, quick. Quickly can Who needs healing
before we go in? I mean I took like 11 damage so
you know if you could heal me for 11 here since it.
Was my own stupidity. I'll I'll heal myself right now
I. Cast a quick cure wounds.
Wow you can heal yourself. I did a bad job.

(02:15:19):
I heal for six. I sort of botched it.
Matched. I'm still, I'm still a little
bloody, but I'm not. Very.
Bloody I'd. Go over and heal you.
Wait, I want some. I want some pick.
Malagus. Next.
Don't tell. Anyone.
I will. I keep my mouth shut.
I just say thanks, Dylan. That made me feel better.

(02:15:41):
Higher shoots you a dark glance. It's my thing.
Just kidding, Just kidding, Demos do you?
Want to start to? Melt the ice around that lock.
Gosh, I feel like we could do itso quietly and just take a.
Peek in just for a second because I have a feeling it's

(02:16:01):
like not like fully connected tolike the rest of the building.
I heal Malekus. All right, Demos what?
Fire spell would you like to use?
Well, you can heat things up with prestidigitation.
OK, so you. Just burn, OK?
I like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's just like a soft melt, you know, Nothing crazy.
Got it. The Malekus gets.
Healed for eight, he thinks you all hire.

(02:16:23):
You're the fucking best. Man you're the best healer in
this party. Better than fucking or a Faeus.
What am I supposed to care aboutyour opinion now?
Yeah. Fuck, you are a face.
Hey, hey, set up. Just because you healed.
Me. I'll listen to you.
Look. Demos is going blowtorch.
On that fucking wall. Over there.

(02:16:43):
Elton Edit Maybe we're dealers in this group and.
Dame is the. One who burns things down.
Eventually, demos with your clever use of preceded
editation, you melt away. Just enough.
Excess ice with this small little heat going that you find
the door isn't as stuck and you think a strong pole will open
it. Oh God, can I listen to see if I

(02:17:07):
hear? Anything on the other side of
the store you press. Your ear to.
The door give me a perception check 9.
You press your ear, it's. Distant.
Like it's through. Several walls, but you hear the
sound of somebody speaking. It's warbled, though you don't
hear any words if it's through. Several.

(02:17:29):
Walls, I feel like I. If I if I could try to like.
Quietly open this door, it wouldbe worth it.
Give me AI want an athletics check from.
You a higher check will mean a quieter 15.
Pretty good. OK, you pull hard and.
Fast on the door and you. Hear a very.
Quick crunching sound as the icegets pulled aside, but it's.

(02:17:51):
Quick and sharp and. Doesn't echo or bleed through
much and all of you guys here just a slight crunch things out
from where demos is as you throwopen the door Demos to reveal
the following sight, a giant block of.
Ice 20 feet. By 20 feet it fills the entire
room. Every inch of this ice block is

(02:18:13):
covered with creatures you see, Adventurers, skeletons,
zombified corpses, undead. You see in the very back there
is an ogre, half mummified, stunned in the ice completely
still. There is nothing else in this
room but ice and death. You do notice on the far wall
there is yet another door, and that door has a bright green

(02:18:35):
glow around the outside. You imagine that leads to the
main room and it is from there that you can hear the voice.
Guys, come look at this so. Upon seeing this.
Room Mason. I would like to.
Channel my least favorite Knightof Queen Odyssey and make an
intelligence check. Does ice conduct water as well

(02:18:57):
as sorry, does ice conduct electricity as well as water?
Yeah. Give me an Arcana check or just
a draw in check. We'll go Arcana.
I mean, electricity is I don't like magic.
Not a good role. But my modifier is OK 1313.
So what you recall is that ice. Is a much poorer conductor of

(02:19:18):
electricity compared to water. OK, take a step back, keep my
thoughts to myself. OK, step back you.
Also do see though you think maybe a?
Dozen, two dozen zombified corpses.
In. Here, as well as that giant
corpse of the O near the back. There's a lot of death in here
and it's all frozen solid. Okay, this is good, though I

(02:19:40):
feel like we can work backwards from this.
Because why would a teacher? Keep this except for, of course,
what Hire was saying, keeping students to like, freeze them to
save them for later. But this is good.
Maybe we can chip away at it and, like, I don't know, do
something to him. I mean, the hope, yeah.
The hope would be to dispatch them, right?
Yeah. But there's a lot in there I

(02:20:01):
don't know through all of, especially in the amount of time
we need theoretically. Something could be happening in
there right now. Shit, I feel like we caught a
lucky break that there's some sort of class happening right
now. We.
Shouldn't. Squander the.
Opportunity but I don't know. Does anyone have any ideas with
the whole ice sculptures? I mean if I had to guess it
seems to be her like. Maybe like.

(02:20:22):
Her backup supply. You know, I could imagine that.
I mean, gosh, correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like if you
know the spell create, destroy water, you can unfreeze like a
certain amount and just like instantaneously.
So she would be able to dispatchthem quite instantly.
I believe she wanted to. Oh that is horrifying.

(02:20:45):
That is good though. Demos.
That means these. Could be enemies.
That we face if we enter. Is there a way to dispatch them
now, though? Perhaps we could have them leave
on this side and we fight them as a group instead of having to
fight them as sort of minions tosome sort of professor.
Yeah, I think you know. Gosh, I mean, orifice, I believe

(02:21:06):
you. Also, you also know the shatter
spell, right? Yeah, let me see.
It's like 5-10 each is 5 feet, right?
Each. Yeah, each is five.
I do. And here's the thing, I.
Could. Shoot it full of electricity and
that would. Crack up the ice.
But I guess the question is whether or not cracking the ice
would crack them too. I mean, I would think it would,
but they're undead, so maybe not.

(02:21:28):
But I can also shatter them. Yeah, if I could tunnel into the
center just a little. Oh, it's no, no, I could totally
shatter them all from here. Actually.
Didn't realize. Gosh, I feel like you know you
and me. Instantaneous double shatter,
and then if if we wanted, we could retreat sort of back where
we came to to sort of ton of thebelong if we had to.

(02:21:52):
Let's do it. I reach out to hold hands.
If we do this shatter though. It will be loud, right?
That's very true. Yeah, that is accurate.
So there is an issue we will likely.
Have to engage with. Whatever is.
Inside, this brings up the pointthough of this disguise idea.
What if we go through with it? I know the.

(02:22:13):
Disguise on me may or may. Not be good, but what we could
do is send me in as a distraction.
Then you all bust through that side and do a pincer maneuver.
You attack from that end and I go in from the other one.
Perhaps with everyone else but Demos and Aura feus.
OK so me and Davos go here, the others go through the front.
I I actually should like that. Idea lots of weird gosh.

(02:22:35):
The only problem is I would haveto take a short rest to re
prepare. That spell well, one shatter
might do the trick, right, true. All right, I'll just.
Go with what? The group thinks.
I mean, who's like a tactician? Here.
You know I like the. Plan so far but like you know
Jaya Doolum that role with you guys don't mind if I do I think
our. Plan depends on the.

(02:22:56):
Circumstances of what we see. So if I'm not going to be
helping the. Shadow.
Then I feel like I might as well.
Take the place of the, I don't know, distraction.
I might as well just go in, alter self and maybe we can play
it by ear there. You know, like if I go in and if

(02:23:17):
Monty's there, you know, maybe I'll give like a code word, you
know, then we can go off that. And then if he's not there, then
I could give a different code word, then we can go off that.
What if you disguised yourself as Dora, as Jora and misled all?
The creatures What is Jora's inside?

(02:23:37):
They won't know to listen to I. Like that?
Actually, I actually really. Do like that sounds like a.
Distraction. Oh.
Gosh, can I? Can I like make?
Like, I don't know, maybe like. An arcana check or something to
see like how much do I remember like like do does the

(02:23:59):
necromancers like minions like do they they don't have really
have like their own sense right?Like they're they're like under
the absolute control, aren't they?
Yes, that is pretty typical. Give me AII.
I suppose I would want like a a survival check from you to gleam
anymore. OK, Would it really be survival,
not arcana? Oh, it's it's intuiting.

(02:24:21):
How? A certain creature.
Acts. OK then you can have help with
this though because I assume youguys are working.
This out as a. Yeah, help me, OK.
So epic, Sure. So 8 was.
The highest? Yeah, you.
Recall that usually how it works.

(02:24:41):
Is there some sort? Of like telekinetic bond or some
sort of like shared thread between a necromancer and its
thralls that connect to them. It usually can't be faked by
just visual appearance. There usually needs to be some
sort of like spell casting component.
There could be another way to doit, but nothing comes to you

(02:25:02):
right now. You should have been sick as
hell higher. I would also like to make a
survival this you still can. Please.
Don't give you advantage. Help I.
Help. I'm predicting A6.
I got a 14. Better.
Higher. You recall discussing these
types of. Horrible.
Creatures with friends of yours and Ethera.

(02:25:25):
And you remember that the way these usually work is these
thralls can both see the physical appearance of their
basically the wizard that some of them, but also the way they
majority receive information is through mental messages.
And this is through very complicated magic.
But you think that perhaps looking like the necromancer and

(02:25:45):
also sending them a simple message spell could be enough to
fool them. They are not intelligent after
or not that smart. I don't think of us have
message, do we? Nope, not me.
Not me. OK, well, good to know for the
future. That fucking?
Sucks none of us have. Message.
What the hell? I have an.
Excuse. I like guns.

(02:26:07):
I can't do any of that. Magic stuff.
You talk to ghosts, old man. Oh my God, why'd?
You have to come. For me like that, we.
Have a ghost? In our party, we all talk to
ghosts. Who Who brought you up at your
lowest? Who picked you?
Up at your lowest gin. Next question.

(02:26:28):
You know what? You know what Malik is this.
This says a lot about you. This says a lot.
About our relationship and I just says how would you value me
as a friend? No, I value you a lot Jai.
You know you're about as good asa gun that can.
Shoot on its own. Like a you know if someone.

(02:26:49):
Invented a turret. I would you would be.
Worth about that. I I took my cannon further
behind me. I I walk away.
All right, all right, listen, I'm getting a little anxiety
about. All that right, Maybe I'm being
a little want to get in there. We're just wasting.
Time out here and I swear to God, something's happening in
there. This fucking soundproofed or
assumption I can't hear and there.

(02:27:10):
But what if Monty's screaming? Man, we got to go in.
Well, I opened the door to the other side and I feel like I
would have heard. Something even though it.
Was all fucking ice. I will cast altar self to look
like the. Zombie, that's with us.
OK, identical. Yes, all.

(02:27:31):
Right. So you're set up front.
Demos, the doors are in front ofyou all.
Right. If I go in there and you guys
hear me, Yeah. So try I.
Guess we'll keep the door propped open if we can so you
guys can hear me. And then I guess if I say, if I
say Cobalt, then Monty's in herewith us.
And then if I say if you guys hear me say zombie, then he's

(02:27:53):
not in here with me. What if you say zombie Cobalt
then? Assume assume the worst there
will not. Be a zombie worst and then.
Gosh, I. Guess I'll just.
Leave it up to you guys because I'm sure I'll have to.
Attend class until it's over. All right, We all ready.

(02:28:13):
All right, Humans in the back, everybody else in the.
Front, aye. Sounds right.
We're all set up, Malagus. Is right behind.
You Orifaeus. You've.
Got the the pincer formation allset up.
Doolum against the wall. Samir rolls out his frog and
sits right up next to him. All prepped up now you most

(02:28:34):
you're set up at the front door.Everyone looks good.
You guys want to do this thing? All right, let's do it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's get it.
Demos you approach. The front of the door a sickly.
Green glow ebbs from underneath it as you go to push against the
door. You find it's unlocked and you
can push it open. Do you do so?

(02:28:56):
Yes, very weekly. All right, you push.
In inside you. See the following site.
The air is stagnant in here, thick with the scent of.
Old parchment. And extremely cold stone, as
well as something slightly sour, something dead, like decaying

(02:29:16):
flowers. The warmth of the upper dungeon
doesn't reach anywhere near thisplace.
Instead though, there's an unnatural green glow pulsing
from the center of the room, casting flickering sickly light
against the chamber's walls. This room seems to be once a
grand bed chamber, fit for a dwarven noble or a king.

(02:29:39):
Some remnants still remain, you see the four posts of a bed,
sheets tattered along the walls, but now the entire room seems to
be repurposed into to some sort of study room.
You see a massive desk at the back of the room, stacked with
notes and brittle scrolls. The walls, once adored with
dwarven frescoes, are now covered in painstakingly drawn

(02:30:02):
out arcane diagrams and anatomical sketches of bones.
There are 12 chairs that sit in a perfect circle, all stone
facing the center of the room. The Professor sitting in eight
of these chairs with four empty, seem to be Jorah's students,

(02:30:23):
Undead that were clearly never meant to learn again.
They all vary in states of preservation or decay.
You see one skeleton adjusting its own fingers, rotating them
back and forward in place like astudent fiddling with a pen.
Another, still wearing a dwarvenminers, nods attentively at the
center, though it's jaw fell slack and wide open.

(02:30:47):
Almost. It's in a wowing ocean, 1/3
fresher than the others, has runes traced in the air with a
quill that seemed to glow with aslight arcane glow.
As the figure murmurs something it can only half remember, you
see still another with no head that sits politely.
There's another, an ancient skeleton with a single candle

(02:31:08):
lodged in its skull like some sort of Jack O Lantern, and at
the far side of this room, a little cobalt.
This yellow cobalt sits upright, hands folded neatly and
properly. On.
In it's desk, golden yellow scales now dulled beneath the
strange green light, the figureseyes are open, glazed and

(02:31:30):
staring. He doesn't seem to blink,
doesn't react, but there's no sign of rot or decay, just
stillness. In the center of the room,
beside a giant green razor of fire stands Jorah.
Or you imagine is Jorah, clearlya masterful wizard, wearing dark

(02:31:51):
black robes stained Crimson and a pale, pale face with a shaved
head. You see this face of the
professor sort of turns to you as you enter.
You see wide open sunken eyes, somebody who hasn't had enough
bright nutrition in days. And you see her lips are pulled
back and are taut and cracked atthe corners.

(02:32:13):
Somebody who hasn't been drinking enough water.
She seems sickly and pale and rather weak, but nevertheless
has an presence about her. You notice that green fire
beside her sort of swirls, and every so often it belches forth
a green Willow wisp which floatslazily around the room, drifting
between the desks. Hovering.
Over students, as if checking their work and every once in a

(02:32:36):
while fizzling out into the ceiling.
It seems you're interrupting midlecture.
Jorah pauses and tilts her head.A late arrival.
She smiles, but it doesn't quitereach those sinking, sleepless
eyes. Take a seat.
You're just in time for today's lesson.

(02:32:57):
Sorry. And then I'm going.
To go. Hobble over, I guess.
All right, you hobble into the room.
Making for one of the empty chairs we're missing Quite.
A few today. There must be something amiss.
Outside. These.
Walls. Anyway, back to the lesson and

(02:33:18):
she waves her hand and you see awhiff of prestiditation whirl
out as the dope behind you slam shut.
Demos, you're left in here alonenow.
She turns back toward the small yellow cobald and goats.
Now then, to continue. You clearly don't have what it
takes. The cobalt doesn't move, but you

(02:33:40):
see his mouth is half. Open.
And no breath at all escapes. Let's try it again.
And you see her slowly reach forward and grab around his
neck, pulling and crushing. What would you like to do?
Can I? God, so am I still like kind of

(02:34:00):
by the door? Yes, you're still.
By the door. You.
You. See a chair that's empty that
you can make for, but you're still?
Pretty close to it. We'll say you're right there.
Both the doors seem to have beenshut behind you.
OK, I'm gonna. I'm gonna try to pretend.
To fall and and just like, crackopen the door, fall backwards.
Yeah. Yeah.

(02:34:21):
OK. I'm gonna need a deception check
from you. OK.
I could not wish. Harder that you pretended to
choke again it. Works every time.
Every time. God, OK.
Where is? Where is this?
Oh holy +5 get me in there. Oh, a perfect you actually go.

(02:34:43):
For a trip, demos falling backwards.
Gracefully, but not pain, you push the door open enough that
everyone on the outside hears itloudly slam, and Dora turns to
you, annoyed but not upset, and she goes.
Is there a problem? Student No.

(02:35:04):
And I slowly. Try to get back up but also.
I don't know, stick by the door.Does she?
Does it look like she's going togo to close it again?
She she goes and sort of raises her hand up again, and then she
looks like she's about to wave some.
Magic. OK, I'll, I'll try to like go
ball. All of you outside hear this.

(02:35:26):
What can I message her? Face.
Somebody. Has.
Message. Oh it.
Was a great idea hire. That is, I would never pretend.
To be someone else and message the zombies.
All right, or face you hear a message in your head.

(02:35:46):
What do you got? I just say let's go bold.
Yeah, I put my hands to the ice and.
Cast Shatter centered in the. Center.
OK, it will perfectly fill this room.
Oh nice. OK, you.
Can you can sort of throw? It.
Yeah, I can. I actually also.
Didn't know that until moments. Ago right?

(02:36:08):
As that happened, would you alsolet me cast a?
Spell you could, yeah. I'll let you guys do a a
simultaneous. Surprise round with a Nat 20
deception demos You were. Jorah is looking at you though,
when she sort of has the scowl over her sickly, tasty white
face as she goes to Cobalt. You mean my student here?
Yes. She could be performing quite

(02:36:30):
better. Yes, Master.
I'm. I'm.
Really waiting for like the I guess.
I'm waiting for like the. Shatter to go off first.
What? OK, tell me what spell you're
prepping then. I guess I'm.
Prepping scorching ray, got it. OK.

(02:36:50):
You hold your hands forward or face centering.
The shattered dead center of theice.
And I'm gonna need you to go ahead and just real damage for
me. Yeah, baby.
And I'm casting it with my gun. So I get because I fucking
always forget this. Let me read you the thing out
loud. I roll a DA and add the.

(02:37:12):
Bonus to one of the spells damage rolls.
So I'm. Doing that.
All right, do it, man. OK, so I got extra DA.
OK, Shatter. Wow, OK, not.
The best roll? Big boy roll, I need a big boy
roll. There's a lot of.
Creatures in here. Okay.
Okay, so it's 17 damage, but allow me to read you a.
Passage. A creature made of inorganic
materials such as stone, crystal, or metal has

(02:37:33):
disadvantage on the saving throw.
I know technically they're not inorganic, but technically no
longer it's crystal because it'scarbon.
But I think since they're frozenyou should consider that they
would be affected more severely.I am.
I am considering them restrainedso they're gonna automatically
fail. They're safe bro.
OK yeah but I mean like cuz the material they are is frozen

(02:37:57):
water. Which is crystallized,
molecularly speaking. Feels like they would shatter
extra bad. Feels like ice shatters.
I don't know, guys. What do you feel like?
I feel like ice shatters. I don't know who you're talking
to. You're talking to me,
molecularly speaking. I agree.
The. Spell.

(02:38:17):
The spell says the only benefit you get from.
It being crystal is disadvantage.
On the savings, so I think them instantly failing is fair
enough. You're doing maximum damage
right here. Our face, No, it's fine. 17
damage. I trust that'll wipe out most of
the zombies that is an. Automatic 17 to everything in
this room. An ear piercing cracking sound

(02:38:40):
followed quickly by the rumble of a thunderous Thunder strike
echoes out throughout the cavern.
Or a face. You smite down upon all of the
creatures in this room. You see the ice crack and shake
as all the creatures inside shiver for 17.
Damage. The ice all cracks up instantly

(02:39:01):
into shards of ice that all slaminto the ground, half of them
melting quickly into the ground, the other still remaining in
chunks and pieces. But you see almost all the
creatures in here. And let me get my little guy
going here. All of the creatures in here are
now freed. From the ice.

(02:39:22):
As part of that though. You notice that several of them
seem to drop. To the.
Ground dead OK out of these groups you notice that every
ancient. Looking.
Zombie, which includes all the skeletons and some of the older
zombies all seem to drop to the ground deceased.

(02:39:43):
Your shatter was enough to completely knock them out, but
not all of them drop. OK, you do notice every zombie
was bloodied by this moon move. Except, of course.
The great zombified ogre. OK, that thing seems to be doing
pretty well. It's injured but is not.
Dead. OK.
Or bloodied shit. In total though, out of the

(02:40:04):
almost a. Dozen or so creatures that were
in. Here.
Yeah, this guy also done. Five of them did not perish.
Along with one. Large Ogre.
So that was a pretty good clear. You killed a lot of things sick.
As my bonus action, I'm going togo ahead and spin.
A little handle on my cannon andactivate electricity thrower,

(02:40:29):
lightning thrower, I should say.All right, you whip it around
and you throw out some. Lightning I guess.
Do you roll the hit for this? No, I am spending a bonus action
to activate it. Oh, to.
Activate it, Goddess, you whip it around.
Malagus hoots and hollers. Whoa, our affairs that.
Was fucking awesome. Look at how many of them went
down. Jesus, we've got fucking four

(02:40:50):
days in there. Kill the rest.
What the I'm trying to. Fucking compliment you?
No, take you back. I guess I just don't.
Want to eat them and I'm really scared.
There's only two of us and way more of been believed than I
thought they would. You did a lot though orifice.
That was pretty fucking awesome,man.
Let's. Fucking get in there, Demos.

(02:41:10):
You hear a giant shuddering shake.
Jorah's eyes go wide. As you want to cast your spell
right, Yes, I'll give you your surprise round.
Give me an attack, I suppose. Roll.
To hit right. Yes, I think I have to like make
like three of them or something.OK, 27 or Nat 2015 and 21.

(02:41:31):
Jesus, hold on. Nat, 2017.
Oh Jesus, Nat. 20. 15 and 21, OK.
The 15 does not hit, but the other two obviously.
Do especially that Nat 20 baby cakes.
Show me what you got. All right, let's do 1.

(02:41:53):
Crit. Okay, so. 18 damage in total,
still pretty. Good.
You molt some scorching rays. Ajora in the center here.
You what? You damn student.
Not at the instructor. What the Fire Milk Center

(02:42:14):
dealing a total of. Nice.
All. Right.
Good. Good damage.
I'm going to put that in here. Looking good.
Are we still in the surprise round?
This is a surprise round, yes. So I do get to.
I'll shoot two of the zombies, OK?
Let me see here for a second. Hold on.

(02:42:35):
Just because this is a surprise round, everything is sort of
happening simultaneously. So part of me thinks because.
Orifaeus is shattering you. Shooting at the exact same time
would be somewhat impossible. OK, so I might just for
logistics here. Keep our.
Surprise round to Orifaeus and Demos, you guys being sort of
the front of this and then the rest of you guys will get to

(02:42:56):
initiative as normal. So with Demos and Orifaeus done,
can you guys all rule initiativefor me?
Yeah, baby, I got an 11. Oh, you got an 11?
That's pretty good. That's higher than 10.
Yeah. Hey Doolim also got.
An. 11 huge my venue. Jaya got a 15, that's pretty

(02:43:16):
good. That's really good.
All right, Well done. All around.
So you guys are now in combat, Jorah?
Screams out at you demos. As you hurl some fire bolts at
her and a massive crunching it goes out through the backroom as
all those frozen. Zombies are.
Full on Game of Thrones style Orifaeus, you are up.

(02:43:37):
The great frozen ogre inside is slowly.
Cracking out its spine. And turning toward you OK, sick.
I use my OK Oh God should. I check in OK, OK, no I know
exactly. What Orifaeus would like to do?
I want to use my lightning thrower, which has a 15 foot, so

(02:43:59):
obviously I want to catch that guy in it.
So like what he has to do is make a deck save, OK, Or all of
them have to make a deck save ortake, let's see, 12 lightning
damage. All right, you whip around the
cannon and you feel the churning.
Electricity underneath it is notexhumes a arc Jacob's Ladder

(02:44:23):
style of electricity. The ogre fails.
It's shocking it it is now looking.
Injured one. Of the zombies saves still
barely alive, the other fails, falling to zero and dying.
OK sick. And those were the only living
things in. So that's my bonus action then
for my. Action I want to.
Run into the center of this room.

(02:44:44):
OK. You push past some of the
corpses of zombies, having to sort of clamber over them.
The temperature drops another 20° in this room.
It's freezing cold and I will cast Thunder.
Wave for what will be. 3D eight damage.
Wow. So they all need to make con
saves of 16 or take full damage and the damage will be just

(02:45:09):
awful damage role which is really too bad.
It'll be 9 damage. It looks like they're not going
to. All right, the one that saved
your lightning dies either way, dropping to the ground with the.
Thunder. The ogre somehow saved, which is
ridiculous. Well, he does that plus four.
Yeah, he's sort of big boy. This.
Zombie in the corner failed. You said it was 9 damage

(02:45:33):
dropping to 1 HP. This other one drops to 1.
Only one goes down from that move, but the rest look pretty
damaged. OK, that's what I.
Turn excellent. Up next is Samir, who shouts
out. OK, are we saving?
Monty, that's the plan, right? Correct.
All right. He pushes forward and pushes
over the front door and goes holy.

(02:45:53):
Fucking shit there's. The classroom in here.
How nice. Excuse me students, sorry to
barge in. Me and my frog are merely here
to. Acquire a friend.
Please don't mind me, I am just passing through.
Papa and Samir pushes to the back of the room with a.
Frog in front. Fence.
Jaya, you're up now. For realsies.

(02:46:14):
You've got 2 attacks. There's a giant ogre in your
line of sight. What would you like to do?
Well, shoot the ogre twice. All right, roll to hit.
OK, the first one was. A 24. 24 hits. 99 damage zombie
bellows. Taking.

(02:46:35):
Also hits. Okay, this one I'm going to use.
A skill point. You guys are clearing out my
zombie closet. Good old zombie closet.
I'm gonna use a trick shot. Fuck yeah.
Fuck. Yeah, man.
OK, I'll use a dazing shot sinceit hit.
He has to make a con saving. Throw or he's gonna suffer a.

(02:46:55):
Disadvantage on attacks until the end of his next turn.
All right, big boy, let's see what your con save is.
He's got a + 4. He's sitting on a.
Beefy, pretty good 19 God damn it.
OK, well yeah, sorry. He beats it, but the damage is
still dealt. What was your damage for that?
Hit. I don't think I rolled.
It just yet 7 sweet this. Ogre is bleeding now.

(02:47:16):
It is badly. Injured from all of this beating
you guys have been giving him fuck Yeah and he rolled A3 on
initiative so then the first. One is 9 + 3.
So it'd be 12 and then this one is now 10.
So 22 damage, baby. Right, right.
Damage is dealt. Well done, Jaya.
That was an excellent turn. Up next is Malagus.

(02:47:38):
Oh, you guys are fucking kickingass in there.
Nice. All right, my turn.
Let's get in here. Who are we working on right
here? Oh, there's a fucking guy.
Let's get him now. Get him before he gets me.
Dodges in, sort of pulls to the corner and goes.
I'm working on new shit. Let's see if I can pull some
some some weird shit. Don't make the sound of that.
I love the sound of that. Thank you.

(02:48:01):
Listen. I'm just working on stuff, all
right, all right. Here we go.
He holds out his hands, walking toward this giant ogre.
He looks scared and holds out his hands and goes fuck and you
see a arc of purple magic echo out of Malagus's hands as he
gets a an. 11. To hit, he's the.

(02:48:26):
Ogre's Armor class. Though that is enough makes it
beats it baby to deal a big. 9 damage as blast flames into the
side of the ogre. Let's go.
Fucking good one, Mali. Oh fuck.
That worked. That's awesome.
Fuck yeah man. What was?
That did you like that your spell this time?

(02:48:49):
Eldridge Blast and Malik walks alittle further in.
Too. Pretty good, right?
Pretty fucking good. Pretty fucking good the.
Next up is Doolum. You're up.
OK, can I walk to the? N 510 in your near.
Now looking in you see the site. All of the students surrounding

(02:49:12):
the teacher in the center. You also see the room at large.
Can I do some sort of like Arcana check to see if I think?
Undead can be charmed, yes. Give me an arcana check for my
God. It's a 21 holy.
Holy moly. 20 That's a great role so.
Not all. Undead are immune to.

(02:49:33):
Charm some like like you know, ghosts and like spectral things
are immune to charm, but zombiesare not OK And these these
creatures look like zombies in here, like the students.
These are all. Zombies through and through.
They are zombified undead. Some of.
Them might be Skelly 10s, but same.
You know that's just the zombie that's got a little flesh on it,

(02:49:55):
right? With a 21 though, I will tell
you that you do know if something else is already
charming them, then you will have to compete against that to
try to like overcome that. Charm it with your own spell.
OK, how hard do I think that would be?
It would. Basically be competing Arcana

(02:50:16):
checks against you in the original.
Caster. So if you consider your arcana a
pretty good you would be worth it.
But if you fail then that spell is cast and used up and it
doesn't work. But if you succeed then it's
pretty cool. OK cool, I'll compete against
this Princess. Fucking do.
It made for success, baby. Built for it, What do you got?
So I just roll Arcana? Well, what are you casting?

(02:50:40):
I'm gonna cast a. Hypnotic pattern, okay.
Nice, that gets everyone in the room, right?
Okay, give me a. Yes, so now you're gonna give me
an opposing arcana check againstthis shit?
Fuck. Okay, he's pretty high.
Let's see what yours see what you.
Got bloody OK, he got a. 17 OK using a luck point and built for

(02:51:03):
success I got 19 all right. You cast a beautiful hypnotic
pattern in the room, webs and echo.
And you catch all of these zombies in your blast.
The necromancer Jorah in the center is unfortunately a type
of undead right now that is immune to charm, but the rest of
these fuckers are not. So what are they rolling?

(02:51:26):
They roll a little wit saves. Oh, it's all awful, Yeah.
Yeah, it's bad. They're beating.
They're trying. To beat a 17 and no shot.
They all have. Minus twos, so they're going to
be on that point. Let's just.
I'll roll them all at once, OK? 123 the. 4th one got a Nat 20

(02:51:46):
that. Means my unsure undead mage.
This. This shit right here is not
affected. The.
Rest of them though, including who you assume is Monty the.
Cobalt. Are transfixed upon your
hypnotic pattern. Stunned.
Anything else you'd like to do? That's it.
Excellent. Next up on the initiative.

(02:52:08):
Order is. Higher, Valea, Higher and Dulum.
You guys actually got the same initiative.
So you guys are twinsies, maybe kissing?
Yeah, I give a quick kiss to do them.
I run with it and look into the room.

(02:52:29):
You run in and you look in. You spot him immediately higher
across. The farthest end you see Monty,
Lil Monty. Very different than what you
remember him like, though. It could be the sickly green
light in this room sort of pulling out all the color from
his scales, or that dead look inhis eyes.
He looks sick, he looks unwell. He needs help, but that's him.

(02:52:52):
You see him, Monty. Monty get get away from her.
She means to do you harm. What?
If you slack him. He's slack jawed.
He's not paying attention to youat all.
He. Seems to be staring up into a.
Some sort of whirling pattern inthe sky.
The woman in the center, with the shaved head and sickly dark

(02:53:13):
sunken eyes, looks at you and goes.
I've done nothing but made him better.
He was going to be one of my finest students once he learned
to behave. He's better this way.
Better now. Undo it.
Undo it now. Your whole army will be.
Destroyed. Undo it please, I'm just getting

(02:53:34):
started. This is this.
Now this is interesting. All right, you got to.
Turn higher what you got to do demos, You're on deck.
Actually hold on I got a bad guys turn in between you.
How come oral face is going for top number of zombies killed?
I'm I'm the knight buddy. Someone's got to do it should

(02:53:57):
might as well. Be me.
Sort of heroic, you know, killing like undead creatures.
That's about as heroic as it gets.
You know, spit on my hand, push my hair back.
I'm about as heroic as it gets. And you're saving the, you know,
damsel in distress. I'm.
Imagining. Monty sort of a pussy, so it
makes sense. Monty is golden, right?

(02:54:18):
Oh, so it's like treasure? Well, it's also like a queen.
Redisy. Oh wait, I don't think.
You should fuck Monty. No, I'm.
Not going to, yeah, but I know what.
You and redisy probably. No, we don't have.
I guess how many times do I haveto?
Tell you, in my afterlife, nobody's.
Having sex Ghosts don't fuck, least of all me.
OK, no gay ghosts. I.

(02:54:40):
Look at Jorah. Right in the eyes and just.
Say rot and I wanna cast inflictwounds at second level.
Nice. I think that is a touch spell so
you sort of have to get real up and personal.
You good for that? I am using.
A meta magic point. Wow.
Somebody's dipping into. Swerk.

(02:55:03):
Oh, yeah. Excellent.
All right. She performs.
A. The the the Constitution.
Saving throw? Oh that's bizarre.
Oh my God, is that how new inflict wounds works?
That's hilarious. I had that shithead elf rolling
to hit because I was using 5E rule.
Wow. Plus one on the con.

(02:55:25):
Oh, 14, just under. I'm living.
Your hit, Lance. Oh pretty good role too.
Consistently average higher doesthe most damage I think he's
ever done. Fuck yeah, you see an erupt.
Eruption of black. And dark energy there.

(02:55:46):
Seems to be a. Run of Almost like the blood
underneath this poor woman's skin turns dark Crimson and then
black one after another as she screams.
Out in pain. As the necrotic energy washes
over her. Shrinking her skin and
shriveling her. Body well done.
Higher anything to do seem to take full damage from necrotic.

(02:56:10):
You look at her. You.
Think she did? Yes.
Despite being a necromancer, sheis not immune to her cat.
I give her a taste. Of her own medicine and and my
turn. Excellent.
Up next is Jorah the Necromancer.
She looks at it, all of you, andgoes.
Is this some sort of ambush? You consider yourselves
intelligent? Ha, this is nothing.

(02:56:31):
Just watch as I let forth my writhing mass of horde and
undead army arise. And she throws up her hands as
she casts knock to open this door, revealing her secret group
of undead. The door gets thrown.
Open and she. Turns to see.
They're all already awake and sort of shambling around and she

(02:56:53):
goes watch what the fuck? She in confusion sort of dashes
over 5. 10:15 to look in. And sees a glimpse of Orifaeus
and Malagus and she curses and goes fuck humans are fast baby.
Curses and as a. Bonus action she throws.

(02:57:15):
Out a much weaker. Spell.
Who does she see in here? She's got a good line of sight
on Orifius and Malagus. Who looks worse?
You know you are. Holding the scarier looking.
Weapon true. So you probably look tougher.
She reaches out a hand toward you, Orifius, and you feel a
spell cast on you. I need a Constitution saving

(02:57:37):
through. Oh yeah, Actually, somehow one
of my better. I can't do it in Forge because
the guys. Are not with me but I'll do it
in D&D beyond so one of my better sales you're on top now
you go on top Oh yeah I'm on topOK OK impossible amazing it's.
Listening. I've already 2.

(02:57:57):
Or I. Added.
Four it this. This.
Necromancer is. Fucking.
Pissed. That the the great undead frozen
whore that she had hidden away as are healed and half
slaughtered and in her anger shehand if you feel your sight is
taken from you as she casts blindness deafness on you.
It says she's choosing blindness.

(02:58:19):
It's not both. Right, it's one or the other.
She's picking blindness. OK, as you go blind or a face.
Your eyesight taken from you. You are now blinded.
At the end of your next turns, you may rule another
constitution. Saving it is now of the undead's
turn. Half of them in this main room
are stunned by this hypnotic pattern.

(02:58:41):
There's one left and as their turn begins Dora shouts.
Kill these intruders. All of you, you especially
Monty. Monty just stares up at the
pattern. But the undead mage is active.
He makes a move 5 feet to the edge where Samir is and hold out

(02:59:02):
is holding out his hands. He casts what looks to be some
sort of shocking grasp at Samir for a hypnotic.
Pattern. Doolum, do they roll the save at
the end of their turn or the beginning?
Let me double check. Shocking Grasp against Samir
goes out with. A Oh it.
Was. Cocked, the undead mage reaches

(02:59:23):
out. Towards Samir and gets like.
Nat 20 on. The roll feeling Samir with
electricity as he tenses up and pulls in on his body.
You see the contact points a bitof clay melts away to the
ground. Samir looks injured.
The rest of the undead, which amount to only three in the
other. Room all.
Move now. Two of them make a move on

(02:59:44):
Malagus, rolling to hit against him with very, very settles.
One hits, one misses, as Malagusis struck 4, three slashing
damage and an additional 2 cold damage.
Whoa. Another one creeps around its
dead brethren. Over to you.

(03:00:05):
Orpheus and makes a. Swipe at you because you are
blinded. Orpheus.
It has an advantage to hit. It's a straight roll though.
They have no pluses to to hit doesn't matter another Nat 20
the. Zombies higher the DM shouldn't.
Be allowed to roll 2 net 20s in one round of content.

(03:00:26):
It's. Kind of crazy that that's
allowed. It strikes.
Out at G Orifaeus, dealing a total of Oh my God that's crazy.
Well, OK, the. The ice.
Damage is not doubled though, soit's. 16. +4 so 20 our affairs.

(03:00:50):
Think. About all of the.
Damage I did. Before I died, it was.
Probably over. If you went out in one hit, I
don't understand how you die this often.
One thing was one hit we, I don't think.
One single time. Fuck you guys.
Behind me. All right, well.
It's still got 10 feet of movement left, so it moves 5 in

(03:01:11):
a fagiah. Yep, now it is Demos's turn.
What'd you? Learn about Hypnotic Pattern.
Though. I learned it's fucked.
Up. They actually don't roll.
It's for duration. It's a duration.
Oh my God. Oh.
Is this the? Thing though where?
If you. Hit them, they get knocked out
of it. Yes.
OK, good. OK, so they are.

(03:01:31):
They're still locked in. You've got 7 undead locked in.
This one is the one that's not the mage.
That is crazy. All right, What do you got?
Demos. I'm just going to cast a.
Mage Armor. And then move all.
Right, you move in, Mage Armor is up.
Go ahead and get your movement. And.
With that I will also be puttingup the.

(03:01:55):
Arcane ward that I have defensive all day baby the what?
You'll see. Magical item review.
Subclass reveal All right demos, anything else you want.
To. Do God.

(03:02:15):
If. Can I can I make like an arcana
check to see if I try to? Wake up, Monty.
Will he just be normal or would he just revert back to the
original charm state that he waswith Jorah?
Interesting point. I would actually like a medicine
check. Holy Medicine.
Big -2 Oh, right, also, you know.

(03:02:37):
Guys, I've given it a lot of thought.
I feel like we should probably start.
Playing with the home brew rule where if you're a cleric, you
get to roll medicine checks withWisdom because it's fucking
that. It's not.
Yeah. So that that feels right.
I also feel. Like we can also incorporate.
The. Rule where?
You if you're a fighter class, you can incorporate strength

(03:02:57):
into intimidation roles. Yes, also makes sense.
I've given this a lot of thought.
You guys, today's the day. It's.
Happening. If you ever do one of these,
just bring this moment up and I'll be like, yes, this did
happen because it just makes sense, you know?
Why punish someone for that? Yeah.
Alright, anyway what you get? Big 14, OK, that's a good.
Role. You take a look, you notice

(03:03:18):
that. Monty is still.
Sorta has a sunken in look to him.
Something doesn't quite look right.
And. In the back of your head, you're
just remembering that so far, all of Jorah's other students
have been undead, so you're a little nervous that even if you
shake him out of this, somethingstill might be wrong with him.

(03:03:39):
You don't think he'll be under control anymore, but you're not
sure if he's. Completely himself.
He might be in some sort of transitive state, or perhaps he
was like brainwashed or something.
He just doesn't look right. OK, I'll I'll leave him alone
for now then. And then my turn.
He looks sick. Higher you.
See this the most he does not look himself at all.
Good turn, though. At the end of your turn comes

(03:03:59):
the last. An initiative.
My beauty Human. Stomp, stomp, stomp.
The ogre stomps. Right over Orifice's corpse
stomp. Pushing his way out of the small
door. Breaking some rocks along the
way to come face to. Face with you, Jaya, for
shooting him twice. Oh my God.

(03:04:20):
There's more where that came from, buddy.
That's you wait, just you wait. He swings out at you with two
big fists. Oh please don't hit.
Please. Don't hit.
Please don't hit. He's got a + 6 to hit Jesus.
Christ. It's a scary day. 1.
Net 1 and the other is a 16. OK, one.

(03:04:44):
Hit one, hit OK one. Hit then.
That one is bad though. He sort of swings wide.
And gets pulled outside a littlebit.
Stumbling to the side but as yougo to sort of goes careening.
Off to the side, his second fist.
Accidentally lands with you on the side, pommeling you heftily
and hard as he deals a total of that's too many.
There we go. It is 11 bludgeoning damage plus

(03:05:09):
one cold damage for a total of 12 whack.
We wrap around to the. Top of initiative.
Now. Back in.
Limbo or a face. The wind goes shooting up past
you. You're.
Falling. Eternally and forever.
You're screams. You go to scream.

(03:05:29):
Nothing comes out. You can't hear anything.
You can't feel anything. You can't move, you can't even
breathe. You kind of miss breathing all
you, but you can hear all right. You can hear deafening winds
whipping past you, and you can see endless white in every
direction. Every once in awhile you think
you see something else falling, but it quickly disappears out of

(03:05:51):
view. Please give me a death saving
throw. Second of the day, sorry.
Guys upset this crazy sort of a glass cannon.
Or a face. Why do you keep going in so?
Close. We gotta keep you.
On like one of those little kid monkey beaches.
We need like a little backpack with the leash on it we should

(03:06:12):
get. Orafaeus Plate.
Mail. Oh, it's a 12, so I'm up.
OK, up one. Excellent.
Next up then is. Samir.
Samir, having been bludgeoned bythis mage, plans to fight back
as any Ottoman. You know they struck first,
right? So he holds out his hands toward

(03:06:33):
this strange looking undead creature.
Thanks for a moment about what he wants to do.
And then he whips around his backpack to the front of his
body, pulling out what looks to be a small dollop of glue and
some small powder. He pulls it out, shakes it.
Around a bit, and then reaches his hands toward the zombie and

(03:06:56):
casts something. You see the zombie twitch and
shudder, and Samir looks down athis hands.
He's not sure what's going on, and the creature makes a saving
throw. Plus zero.
It has been a while since I've cast offensive magic like this.
It was quite exhilarating, right?
I believe in you, Samir. Oh, thank you, Demos.

(03:07:18):
You are very kind. To me.
But it is not just me. It is all of us, we are a team.
Together, right? Exactly, Samir, as you see a.
Splurge of green energy. Shoot out all of a sudden from
all parts of. This creature, it wheezes out as
bits of gas and clouds of poison.

(03:07:41):
Come out from its body as Samir pulls his hands back.
Quickly you see him try to skirtaround the creature as it seems
to be stunned for a moment, having taken 12 damage, and
Samir makes his way over to Monty.
OK, we should take. Him now, right?
Come on. Monty, he grabs very gingerly.
Onto his hand and starts. Pulling him and let's take him

(03:08:03):
outside. We need to get out of here.
Can can he do that without breaking the?
Hypnotic Pattern. He's not attacking him, right?
Yeah. So he can do that grabs.
Him pulls him 510 feet in total until he runs out of movement
and gives you a thumbs up. Higher, it is going to work out.
We're going to cure him. All right.

(03:08:24):
It is at this point that you think Jorah figures out what you
guys are doing. Unfortunately, higher is kind of
lost in rage. And I don't even think he hears
Samir and is staring daggers at Jorah.
Got it, got it. Excellent.
All right, up next after Samir then.
Is Jaya Jaya? There's a great ogre beside you

(03:08:47):
and a zombie next to him. You are up, you're in melee
range with them so I actually think you have disadvantage to
hit the YRR if I take a step back.
They both have. Opportunity attack now.
Hora Faeus over here is at 0. So hora Faeus, it can't do
nothing. What happened?

(03:09:07):
Wait, did you fall down? Did you get tired?
That's Rattle. I can't believe how fucking.
Often I've died in this. Dungeon.
I'm sorry, Dean. Jaya, what you got I'll.
Still do, actually I got a. Staff, yeah.
I'll I'll do one hit with my. Staff and another one with a
pistol. See which one?

(03:09:29):
Nice. It's like a pistol shot that'll
win. Do I?
Have stuff on here. I'll do this towards.
The ogre that's not going to hit.
The pistol shot at disadvantage.Yeah, the staff does not hit.
Unfortunately, the pistol does not hit.
Either. Too bad you go to smack with.

(03:09:50):
Your staff and it just smacks the blubber.
Of this ogre and he sort of laughs at you and you go to
shoot too and it. Swings wide as he sort of bats
your hand out of the air. Can't anything else you'd like
to do, John? Me think.
That is all I'm going to do. I don't want to.
Walk. I don't want to trigger an

(03:10:12):
opportunity attack. All right.
Up next is Malagus. He goes running forward and.
Or a face you wake up funding Malagus leaned over you,
kneeling down he has. Something pressed to your mouth.
A. Vial as you heal for eight
points from a human potion, you fucking idiot.
Why'd you go down again? Sorry, Thank you.

(03:10:35):
Fuck, this is bad He. Hucks the glass vial at the wall
and shatters into a million pieces.
And he goes. Well, there's my fucking move,
right? You better do something sexy
with your next one as he backs up into the wall.
So many things to gather from that.
How does Jaya? Look out there, Jaya, are you

(03:10:57):
bleeding? Yet I'm at 26.
So not yet all right. One zombie does get an
opportunity attack against Malagus.
Got a 13. To hit which just misses though.
OK, here's my deal. I'm gonna do.
I'm gonna cast Scorching Ray. It is actually not your.
Turn. Orifice.
Oh, we'll get there in a second.Next up is Monty's turn.

(03:11:20):
Who is? Still stuck in.
This swirling light. So we got doolum.
Sweet. I'm going to cast a mind whip
and use one. Sorcery points to make it attack
2 targets. All right, see that mind?
I want to hit Jorah and then theUncharmed.
The one guy you. Didn't get the bastard so they

(03:11:41):
both. Need to make int.
Saves and they're trying to beat17.
Jorah is a smart cookie. Let's see if he she gets it.
All right, hers was good. She got a 27.
Jesus. The other mage, though, the
undead gets an 8. OK, and the mage takes 17
damage. And then the and then Jorah

(03:12:04):
takes seven. OK, still good.
Both. Good.
ZAP, the mage is. Bleeding now profusely and is
near death from that. It was a damn good hit.
Sweet. Anything else you'd like to do?
That's it then it's higher Valea.
Higher what? Would you like to do can hire
like death through the. Optimistic Undead Night.

(03:12:27):
Yes, he is charmed right now. There's only one creature right
here that is not. Charmed that you would take an
opportunity attack by. Everything else in here is
staring up at the pretty colors, which is awesome because this is
my whole room. A little spellcaster.
They were supposed. To be 8 shocking grasps, 8 of
them. Oh my.
God my 8 little bastards. Coming out doing.

(03:12:50):
Fucking fire bolt. You just.
Knew he'd be optimal. Sorry.
He's on top. There you go.
All right, you rush forward higher.
You rush back all the stunned zombies.
What would you like to do? I'm going to be cheesy again.
Looking at Jorah and say you will find I am a bringer of life
and death and hold up my holy symbol and she will make ADC 15

(03:13:17):
con save sick. What is this that you're doing?
This is channel. Divinity.
Oh my God. Am I stupid?
Is she undead? Oh my God, everything in this
room is undead, including her. She is.
Well, yeah, I revealed it. Earlier, she is undead.
Sort of. She wants to be undead.

(03:13:38):
She gave herself the tag. If she fails the saving throw,
I. Believe it's going to take 4D8
radiant plus. Wait, is it something else?
Oh, no. Yeah.
So what? What is this that you're doing?
Are you turning undead? Sorry, I'm searing undead.
No. Searing undead.

(03:13:59):
OK, OK, here's. What it says channel dividend
turn undead is they make ADC 15 wisdom saving throw and then oh
wait sorry turn undead is different.
OK I'm doing turn undead. I present my holy symbol and
censure undead creatures. They make ADC 15 Wisdom saving

(03:14:19):
throw. If it's fails, it's frightened
and incapacitated. And then if it fails that save
thanks to Seer undead, whenever you use Turton undead, any
undead that fails it's saving throw takes 4D8 radio.
But yeah, there we go. All right, so you run into this
room and present your holy. Symbol.

(03:14:39):
So just to reiterate, every undead thing in this room will
be affected by this. Wait, return undead?
Oh, is it every? It's each undead creature of my
choice, so I'm not choose creatures.
All right, Eric. So I'm attacking everything
every. Undead creature.

(03:15:00):
Within 30 feet. Every single of them other than
Monty of assume. I'm gonna assume.
Carter thinks. He's ended, so no.
What happened? All right, you hold out.
Your holy. Symbol and everything.
In This room screeches out madlyas they all make, what did you
say, Wisdom saving throws? It is, yes, okay.

(03:15:21):
This holy symbol echoes out as ablinding light sweeps.
Through the. Room This zombie, one of the
frozen ones, was under CR 1/2, so it disintegrates immediately,
burning up. The rest of these creatures
though still have a chance as. They all make their.
Saves Jorah got 15. You're kidding me.

(03:15:45):
She just got a. 15 Oh wait, that's constitution that you.
Roll that is for. Something else then?
Because I'm rolling a wisdom saving she.
Is a little wise, somewhat. You know, all right, Jorah is
saving through a big roll. Oh, just got robbed of an 18.
It's a 10 in total. That is huge.

(03:16:05):
So she. Fails.
I will purposefully. Be making her take 4D8 radiant
damage instead. OK, so you choose damage over
fleeing, nailing her with. This.
Go ahead and roll the damage. Do you want to damage all the
other creatures in here? That failed as well.
It looks like four out of the seven remaining preachers

(03:16:28):
failed. Yes, I do want to damage them
all. Fuck yeah, man, Roll.
Damage, I'm getting lost. Ignore the roll you're about to
see. I don't want to talk about it.
Ignore. That one I was busted.
What was that like 2 ones? Yeah, that sucks.
I rolled 9 radiant damage. OK, hey, that's something.
We take those, Zora gets zapped. The mage that was not in the

(03:16:53):
hypnotic pattern disintegrates, burning up, and then finally I
am going. To let out a traconic cry, which
is all creatures within 10 feet.My allies will have advantage
against them. So that it does include Jorah
Sure fucking does, and I will not be role-playing to.

(03:17:16):
Cry. But no, what the voice is a
little is a. Little wrong, I think we can
probably help him. Out you guys I really like
who's. Who's?
Did you like I think, Mason? I.

(03:17:38):
Think Mason went away? From his mic, I was just
screaming. Man, it was really Macy's mic.
All right, sweet you, you guys have.
Advantage against it by now higher.
That was a fucking. Well done Turn you feel Ether's
grace bless you and all of your kin.
All of them. Excellent.

(03:17:59):
All right, that is a perfect segue into Jorah's turn.
Jorah turns to you and wipes a bit of dark black blood from her
mouth, sort of squelching out ofyou.
Fucking idiot. You come down here and try to
hurt my students. You know nothing.

(03:18:20):
Nothing. I shall show you true death, and
you see her. Pull out from under her.
Robes. A black book it looks very
arcane in. Nature.
And she pulls it out and the pages flip before her eyes as
she holds out a hand and you seea rackling of black green energy
as she uses this as her spell casting focus and casts a

(03:18:44):
necromancy spell. Could I try counterspelling?
Oh my. My fucking.
Andy thought it before. Regular.
All right, this. Is 1/4.
Level. Spell that she's casting, so you
are going to have to roll. For.
I think it's a how does it work? It's an arcana check, arcana

(03:19:04):
check, and you have to beat a 14.
OK, easy peasy. Oh, let's see it.
Let's see it. Oh, you're fucking me.
Oh my God. Demos put.
Some magic out and then. Fiddling out.
I would also like the gas. Counterspell, you're a fucking

(03:19:25):
monster. Oh, I'm so.
MAD this spell was going to be awesome.
Demos. I'm sorry.
You got to you was going to snapyour hand to counterspell, but
it just under cells. You're not sure what the meaning
of the spell was. It doesn't quite go out.
Doolum, give me your role. I got exactly.
A. 14 No. And just feel the mechanical

(03:19:47):
click of your hands as. The spell Jorah's casting
fizzles in the book. Slam shut.
She looks horrified, looks down at her hands and looks at the
book. Tucks it back away in her in her
clothes and curses out loudly. Dams you all to hell and she's
going to do another bonus. Action fucking cantrip.
Attack, I guess because. You guys are bitches.

(03:20:11):
I don't know fucking this is themost.
Optimal. Fight we've had, I think how
much left? Awful chill touch, that's what
we got. Great, great come from my
beautiful 4th level touch. Fuck you as fuck.
You The chill touch creeps out toward demos.
You bastard. And makes a range spell attack

(03:20:35):
against you with a. Plus.
Fucking 9. Fuck you.
Fuck. Just a 13 hit, Yes.
OK, well, it's gonna be two. D8 so that's. 6 damage to you,
That's six necrotic damage, if that makes you feel any better.
It makes me. Feel so much better?

(03:20:57):
My ward will absorb that damage.Fuck man, it doesn't even get to
you. No.
Oh my. God.
OK, well, that's the first. Turn.
Fuck you. Riddler.
Now it is the. Zombies turned.
We'll go with the two. Over by.
Orifaeus and Jaya. Orifaeus.
One of them creeps up toward you, having just gotten up.
This is the one that fucking slaughtered you last time.

(03:21:20):
He's ready to rumble. He's coming down with a big slam
attack. No, that's funny.
Let's do a good roll of 19 to hit that.
It's OK, Horrefaeus, what's going on?
Caught it hits so hard I. Can't even shield, low damage
roll. Though three damage in total,
that's two blood thinning. And one cold damage.
OK, I survived that. All right.

(03:21:42):
It does 3 damage to you. That's that zombie the other one
is. On you, Jaya it.
Also makes its slam attack against you throwing down its
hands getting a wow they're these zombies are rolling great
you guys unnatural 20 it do not matter this one gets.
Fucking dog the worst. Role it can 2 hole damage
that's. One bludgeoning, 1 cold damage

(03:22:04):
and now for my other zombies so.1. 2/3.
Of them had been knocked out of the hypnotic pattern.
Oops. Which I believe is correct.
So these three awaken now and get to work.
One of them makes their way overto Demos.
A second toward you. Demos 1/3 right on.
Samir goes for him. Two of them on you.

(03:22:25):
Demos just saw their master castchill touch, so they follow
suit. Two more chill touches toward
you. They're just so chill.
Both of them have a + 4 to hit. Wow. 2 good roles, a 19 and a 17
to hit. Those definitely hit all right.
That's two big rolls, so. It's going to be in total.

(03:22:47):
Wow, low low damage again. 9 damage, 7 of it is necrotic and
two of it is cold damage. Nice.
The one on Samir is feeling a little sexier.
And is going to try to go for a.First level spell, let's see if
he can muster it with an arcana check Above 10?
Nope. He.
Reaches out towards Samir, you see a horrible spell brewing and

(03:23:09):
then it fizzled and the zombie goes and now we're at demos.
Turn. Yeah, I'm just going to upcast.
Scorching Ray to a third level. Fucking flawless roll to hit.
Demos does not use his weapon ashis arcane.
Focus instead you see him. Grab an amulet around his neck,

(03:23:30):
just in case that's of any interest.
Well, very interest. What some big.
Rolls. OK, 23. 24/9 and 15.
OK. I just see against Jora.
Against Jora. All right, Jora.
Is gonna cast. Yield as a reaction.
Cuz that's crazy. So the 15 will not hit and the 9

(03:23:52):
will not hit. 23 and 24 are both8.
OK, cool. 14 in total. Hey, that's good.
All right, Jora is. Now low, she is bleeding.
Noise. And I guess I had my turn.
Yeah, excellent. Up next is the ogre Puny.
Hippo Person. What?

(03:24:13):
I'm not puny, you're just reallyfucking.
Big. It makes two more slam attacks
against you, Jaya, both with a plus. 6 to hit one of them is an
8 to the other an unnatural 20. Oh sorry, it's an 18.
To hit an 18 does an 18. Hit Yeah my.
AC. Isn't very high.
That's all right for a. Total of wow this is getting.

(03:24:37):
Really dog shit rolls 8 damage in total against you Jaya, 1 of
it being cold damage as it slamsdown on top of are you are you
bleeding yet and now. I am.
All right, there we go. Orifaeus it is now.
Your go, you're up with 9. Health, right?
Yeah, I guess 6 now, because thezombie wants your ass.

(03:24:58):
It's five. Yeah, it's 5. 5.
Perfect. Yeah, you hear clattering.
In the other room, this giant ogre is really bearing down on
Jaya. And Jaya's bleeding you also see
in the next room over, you have visual sight of Jorah who is
also bleeding, but she's lookingcrazy and she looks like she
might go for that book again. Stop it.
Jorah first. I will go ahead.

(03:25:20):
And using my lightning. Thrower get these two bad boys.
They need to roll some deck saves.
The Ogre's decks is pretty bad. This other zombie has.
Two health left. Should I bother rolling?
Well, let me roll my damage. I mean no, probably Ogre got a
tail. I rolled pretty bad.

(03:25:43):
OK, they both. Failed they both.
Take 5 damage. OK, yeah, that is enough to kill
the one zombie next to. Jaya, who goes.
Down the big over though, is still up.
Still looking hurt, but alive. 1is down.
There's only one zombie left here.
Staying. Inside this guy's range.
So he doesn't get an opportunityto attack on me, then I'm.

(03:26:04):
Going to go ahead and cast Scorching Ray at second level so
I'm gonna roll these two hits one at a time cuz who they go to
next depends on who stays up so first one to the ogre is 21 to
hit. I assume that hits 21 does hit
perfect. That's 2D6 damage and I'm.
Saving. So that's eight damage. 8 damage

(03:26:26):
OK, the ogre is still up. Mother of.
Per. Near death fucker still gone OK.
I'll go ahead and. Cast the next.
One at this is I'll be right next to me.
All right, that's a 16 to hit. That does hit OK 2D. 6 damage.
That's seven damage. Obliterated into smoke and.
Ash Beautiful. OK, there's no more living

(03:26:48):
zombies. Correct.
Nope, just the ogre now in this.Room.
Just the ogre. OK, last one to the ogre.
I'll go ahead and put my funk onthis one, so there's.
An extra D8 damage, except it's a natural 1, so no.
Can I retroactively? OK, let me.
Read you the wording of this. Because I think I can add my.
Funk to the first attack, in that case.

(03:27:08):
But this time we're gonna, we'regonna get funky.
When you cast an. Artificial spell through the
arcane. Firearm.
Roll AD 8. You gain a bonus to one of the
spells. Damage rolls equals to the
number rolled. It doesn't say anything about
picking before or after, no. I want to look into this for the
future to see how it works. But for now, we'll.

(03:27:29):
Rule it where you can add. It whenever you yeah, this over
has four health left so if you can deal with what you say see
you should have had me read it out first.
You should have me read it out 'cause then you.
Have gotten a higher role. Well, it's sort of kismet that
way. Or if yes, yeah I want to

(03:27:53):
fucking. Wipe some of the blood off my.
Shirt. And when it doesn't wipe.
Off. I'm like, that was actually from
three times I died to go. I guess it's dried now and I'll
walk in. I'll stumble, you stumble and
you see Dora looking crazy. I assume you're reset?
Well, yeah, when you died it didget reset.

(03:28:14):
Great. OK, I actually don't want to
stand. Right next to Dora, so I'll I'll
stay. Here I'll just sort of like,
shakily raise my God fucking. Perfect.
Nice, Dora, you're going. Down one way or another.

(03:28:34):
The wizard looks at you and snarls.
It's hard to imagine this. Was ever someone's assistant?
I snarl back. As I do, I realize one of my
teeth has fallen loose. You've got a blueprint in the
side of your body or a face fromwhere the.
Ogre stepped on you. All right, the Samir's go now
Samir uses. Thalmatergy to.

(03:28:55):
Increase the volume of his voiceas he shouts out for all of you
to hear easily. All right, we have who we need.
Monty is in possession. Let us leave now.
We have to go. The extract mission worked.
OK. I want to yell back to Samir.
I really think she's just going to chase us.
If we don't deal with her once and for all, chase us.
If we leave now, she wants to chase us, we can go.

(03:29:16):
What Jonah are? You going to chase us?
If we leave, I will hunt. You to the ends of the earth.
But she's not going to. Let's just get away with this
one. All right, all right.
OK. Monty, come with me now.
Let's go this way. OK, all right.
He leads Monty to the front. Now, and as he does, he.

(03:29:37):
Points at 1:00. Of the undead and has Hopscotch
jump toward it and bite on hard to the side of the creature and
you see a bubbling acid come outfrom Hopscotch's mouth.
The creature screams out 18 to hit, which hits and Samir does 3

(03:29:58):
acid damage, which melts this man into a puddle.
Yeah, puddle, puddle. Jaya, you're up next.
Pew Pew Pew. Roll to hit.
Pew Pew Pew. Take a pistol.
I'm aiming. At the bench and I hit the
bench, you're rolling at disadvantage, right you're.

(03:30:23):
Still in melee range. Fuck God damn it, I'm killing.
Myself, that was so embarrassingput.
Him down like a sick. Dog he is.
Yeah, all. Right.
That is, yeah. All right.
I still got. Good roles in me.
With 9. Damage.

(03:30:43):
You blow a whole side of the creature.
And if the ogre drops out, slamming onto the ground, how
are you? Like you're at 1:00.
Buddy, Yeah. Jaya fuck yeah, man.
Shit on his Dick. I do a little.
Trick on my pistol and then I blow the steam off.
Afterwards all some days work. Fuck yeah man, you look cool as

(03:31:06):
shit. All right, make your way in here
now. We should all grope up.
Man coming out coming OK 21 for Jorah.
All right, 21 does hit even withyour sexy.
Cover roll damage as you can seeclick this bitch OK, I'm gonna
also do my. Astral.

(03:31:26):
Spark so that I can get an extra3/4 damage.
OK, so 9 + 312 Jorah's not looking great, bleeding up
pretty heavily. Heavily.
Injured. She's looking desperate.
Up next is Mal, I guess. Fuck, yeah.
All right. You guys were really making
moves. Now.
Fuck this bitch. She seems scary as fuck, though.

(03:31:48):
Should I try to stab her? Catching this magic?
Oh, you're right. All right.
Here comes my big move. I call.
It witch. Bolt.
Yeah, Nope, that's a tool I'm telling you don't have any
bonuses. Well, I had a + 2 but now it's a
four call. That A2 by. 2 So which bolt?

(03:32:11):
Went wide. That's pretty.
Good. Yep, that's me.
Gold malagus Doolum, you're up. We saw Jura kind of fiddle with
the book again, right? It looks like she's.
Going to pull it out for her next turn, all right.
I'm going to run up the door andtry to grapple her.
All right, can you get? There in one turn.

(03:32:31):
Yeah, that's 30. That's exactly 30.
Big. 30 OK, you go for her. She's got the book in her.
Hand, well, rather she's, you know.
Going to reach for it. You go to grapple her.
Give me an athletics check. Right, let's do it.
Who the fuck wrestles the Wizard, all right?
She's got a + 0 OK above average.
Though 15. With one luck point I got a 19.

(03:32:56):
Who picked lucky Shower Lucky. Duel him, you go jump on her.
She screeches as you. Put her down.
She wrestles with you. The 2 of you are now sort of
occupying the same space, fighting over each other,
kissing a little. I was kissing.

(03:33:16):
Anything else you want to do duel him?
I think that's. All I can do, but yeah.
Obviously implied while I'm Craft.
Flying out I'm. Just trying to get the book like
so she can't use it. Understood.
All right, that is a good move. Then up next I have higher.
What would you like to do? How's Jorah looking?
Jorah looks injured, beaten and a bit.
Bloodied, heavily injured, I would.

(03:33:38):
Say interesting. I'm gonna like, you know how
like cheerleaders will like pump.
Their fist in the air, I like take my fist back and then just
like show my holy symbol at her again with my ring.
All right, so she has another DC-15.
Wisdom. Saving through Quit making me

(03:33:58):
roll wisdom saves you bastard. Better than last time.
Unnatural 20. That's tough.
Obligatory Draconic. Cry again.
Thank you. That's the end of my turn.
Excellent. Up next then.
Is. Jorah.
Jorah is currently grappled. And screeches, get off of me you

(03:34:20):
fool, let me have my book. And then she reaches out towards
you, Duelham, and tries to shoveyou off.
Give me another athletics check,please.
You're working against a + 0 over here, baby.
You're working against a three kind of 13.
Yeah, OK. You.
Push against her and. Pry and push and you get a hand

(03:34:42):
on the book between her robe andher sort of sinewy body, and she
can't quite get you off and she flails and twitches and pushes
and screeches and unable to moveyou she screeches, If I can't
have it, then no one can. And she pushes a hand down on
the ground and you see her mutter a word and cast a spell

(03:35:03):
into the earth, and suddenly there is a twitch.
In the wall. And the floor, it starts on the
ground. There is a ripple, almost like a
heartbeat, like lungs filling with air.
The floor ripples, and then the walls.
The neatly chiseled engravings distort as if melting, the rigid

(03:35:27):
stone curving and shifting into something organic.
You see no longer stone on the walls, but pulsing arteries,
sluggishly pushing thick liquid. The pillar supporting the
ceiling now become jointed, sinewy flesh, and the floor
beneath you softens. Do pink flesh An important

(03:35:51):
lesson in transformation Many. Students.
Struggle to grasp. The physicality of the arcane.
They forget that magic is not just an abstract but a living
thing. Maybe you should be a better
teacher then you. Look around you now.
When you see she has cast stone to flesh.

(03:36:11):
The walls shudder and the ceiling slowly begins bowing.
In. The few will of the wisp left in
this room are flickering erratically, darting around,
sort of frightened of the walls and ceiling.
The room shudders and begins tightening.
You think the weight of the stone above is likely bearing
down on all this flesh and it looks to collapse.

(03:36:32):
She looks at you Doolum with this horrified look and she ends
her turn. Up next are my Zom boys.
There's two left. Both of them go to save their
master. One of them runs by you Damos.
You get an opportunity attack the other rooms by Samir.
He tries the same rule that. That one, you and Samir both

(03:36:55):
shit the bed. Neither.
Of you hitting, both of them runtoward and besides you doolam
reaching forward, you and both of them go to cast Shocking
grasp on you. Both have a + 4 to hit and wow,
bad rolls, A2 and A5 bad rolls. They both reach out and neither
of them get you. Doolam.

(03:37:16):
That's the end of the zombies. Turns.
It is now. Demos, you're up.
The ceiling is shuttering. God, should I just get out of
here? What is gonna happen, Samir?
At the front door looks fucking horrified.
He looks at the ground and he looks at you, and he has a.
Genuine look of fear. OK, I am on my way out.
I think we might need to go. Yes, Samir, I think we need to

(03:37:38):
as well. He points outside.
You look and you see the. Cavern further out is also
fleshy. Not just this room, guys, we
have a very big problem. Is it a concentration?
Spell. If she dies, will it stop?
God, yeah, I've never seen this spell before in my life.
Demos, do you know? I do not know.

(03:38:00):
Oh my God, we might need to leave.
There is a way out of here. We can leave almost instantly
right with the cube? Oh, I should take a full minute
though. I can help.
With that, just get outside, okay?
Unless you think. Killing her would work, I just
don't know the spell or. The face you can roll.
An arcana check to okay learn more but it's a higher DC.

(03:38:24):
This is an unusual usage. It sure is.
Fuck my role is not good. Does anyone want to help me?
Can I try to help with my brain doolum you can help you guys are
sort of. Yelling at each other from
across the. I think it's.
Like this? No Feel like Davos's arcade is
probably better than mine, but 19 from me.
All right, 19 Oraphase, you do know there's a spell called

(03:38:45):
Flesh to Stone that? Spell is concentration.
You're confident you have never heard of stone to flesh.
OK, my best guess is it's concentration and I really want
that book of hers but. If you want to start the cube
smear, I'll be there within a minute.
I'm killing her either way. Yeah, OK.
But. You have the cube or a face.

(03:39:05):
Right, I don't shit. I might need you to do it.
Besides, Doolum can pull the book out from right.
Go Doolum. Go.
Can I cast a chromatic orb? Yes.
You aiming for this? Bimbo Yes, roll to.
Script I should roll for with advantage.
Unless 20 hits, you know what? She's a bitch.

(03:39:27):
She's going to catch Shield. So 20 does not hit.
Give me advantage fuck. You guys with shield and fucking
hate everyone with she fuck you. It's a 20.
Again, wait, but shield Somatic.Fuck, she's being grappled.
Fuck. I hate shield.
Fuck, I'll never. So also remember your.

(03:39:55):
Advantage. Oh, you upcast chromatic?
Orb. I think base damage IS3D8.
Wow, holy. Shit, all right, that's a big
hit. Demos, Jorah.
Is now near. Death.
A huge glob of black blood is tossed out of her mouth as you
blow a hole in her. What damage type do you want
Chromatic Orb to be? Let's do Thunder.

(03:40:17):
Thunder. Perfect.
Echoing out, it ripples among the sinewy.
Fleshy floor. Beneath you and you see a great
chunk of the ceiling, what looksto be some sort of large liver
like organ falls out and splats onto the ground.
You know how to be a view through the roof above and you
see more and more flesh crawlingup the wall.

(03:40:38):
She seems to have put a lot of basically everything she had
left in the shitty fucking spellno book bitch demos.
Is there anything else you coulddo?
No, I think that's it. Does it look like she makes a
constant? Concentration same through
Roland arcana. Check for that good me my
arcana. Was 1616.

(03:41:01):
From this distance. Unfortunately, demos it's.
Just hard to tell she's. Bleeding up pretty bad but
you're not positive whether or not she did or not, right?
No worries if you're up closer right up next to you could
definitely tell. How about me grappling?
Her gonna make a perception. Now you could make a perception
check or give me an arcana. Check as OK, right up 20.
Two stay down bitch as. Far as you could tell.

(03:41:24):
Doolum. If she was.
Concentrating on this, she savedit.
You don't think? She.
Had to will herself very hard tosave it if she was likely this
isn't concentration or there's something else that it could
just be a part of her person as well.
You know, there are some spells that.
But if it's concentration, you didn't see it.
OK. Which is frightening.

(03:41:45):
Demos, anything else you want todo?
No, that's it. All right, Seraphoias.
You're up, baby. OK.
If I'm. Here will I get flanking?
Flanking is opposite right? Like behind.
Okay, I'll go here, skirt aroundthere.
You go behind her. I want to say someone better

(03:42:07):
call the substitute and I want to pistol wait for a guest.
Shocking grasp. OK, it's 19.
To hit, I'll remind you she's already used her shield.
Reaction Well, she didn't use itright.
She didn't because she can't, because it's somatic 19 to.
Hit. That does hit.
OK, it's 3. D8 lightning damage SAP.

(03:42:30):
Please be. Good.
Oh my God it's so dog shit. 8 damage.
Madora. Face you, electrocute this
bitch. You zought in some electricity
damage it not. Enough to finish her okay.
She's still clinging to life. I straight back over here.
I'm gonna. Hit her with the cone, let her
more. Welcome with me so that it

(03:42:52):
doesn't get hit. I'll hit her with the cone.
I whip around my fucking Jacob'sladder thrower.
She can make a deck save to takehalf damage.
All right? Please don't be dog shit.
I mean, I hope yours is, but I hope mine's.
Not OK. Mine's decent.
Oh my God, she's slippery. Fuck.

(03:43:14):
OK, but she takes half. Damage.
Still right, She's not a. Rogue.
Wow, she's fucking. Slippy with it.
She just puts a duel on top. Fuck you, duel.
And what? Is half of the damage. 6 All
right. Orpheus, that was it.
How do you want to do it? Oh.
Jesus. Christ.
OK, I want to just. Plug in the end of my.

(03:43:37):
Cannon to. Her.
Abdomen and. Unload it into her.
The electricity rings out, you see.
Very. Cartoon style.
Her skull lights. Up for a moment and the skin on
her head sloughs off a bit as you steal her with this arc of
electricity. Dulum you let go like.
Just at the right. Moment as you see the

(03:43:59):
electricity arc out of her fingertips just a bit, licking
the edge of your metallic body her eyes go dark, her mouth wide
open in. Sort of a lockjaw.
And she falls to the ground right in front of the group of
you. Higher you see the life drain
from her eyes as she looks at you with rage and ire.

(03:44:21):
And as she hit the fleshy floor of the ground, you see the flesh
does not disappear. The two zombies left both have
their thrall immediately. Ended.
And the two sort of look out at you all go no and look confused.
Are we out of initiative? That pulls us out of initiative.

(03:44:42):
The ceiling. Begins shuddering.
OK, I throw the cube to Samir, You huck it.
Give me an athletic, a sleight of.
Hand well, give us oh, you're sokind.
To me, it's a natural. It was a natural one.
And it was a natural one, the. Metro What the blindness comes

(03:45:04):
back where? Am I or a face you?
Hawk it it's, you know, like that thing where like.
You're out at the the field. And the football Bros, like,
yeah, but you couldn't even throw a ball, you know?
Yeah, my tooth falls. Out tooth falls, out shit goes
wide. Wide to the side smacks.
The Wall and Samir gives you a look of complete neutrality as

(03:45:27):
it goes in front after. Hey, is everyone all right?
Anyone dead? Someone fucking.
All right. Hey, Malagus, boot the body,
yeah? Yeah, yeah.
No, actually, I'll let. Higher.
Do that higher. That's all you, buddy.
That's you on the back. And goes running after to the
front. I'm not going to die in here and

(03:45:48):
I misspoke earlier, there are actually 5 zombies.
That are still left in here, three of them are still.
In the hypnotic pattern that Doolim has though bearing up
with the ceiling, higher goes tohug.
Tackle Monty. You run after Monty, running
toward him. The second you go to tackle him,
his. Body is stiff and does not
reciprocate. He has a smell to him, it's odd,

(03:46:12):
a bit like embalming fluid. And he doesn't turn around to to
greet you. Samir runs out to the front I
think. We might need to get going I.
Don't know what the fuck that weird wizard did, but this whole
cavern is fucked. Part of my language.
Well let's go. Also while since I was grappling
her, can I just easily? Pick up the book.
It's in your hands as she goes down.
OK, cool. You look down at it.

(03:46:34):
It's a. Blackened book.
It looks like the whole. Thing was, it looks.
Like someone tried to burn it but it didn't catch.
This immediately looks to you like a very powerful arcane
object, and you're pretty sure it's what she came down here
for. You also get gleaming off of it
because you're such a lawful person.
There is an air of chaos around this book.

(03:46:54):
You feel immediately as you evenare touching it, that you think
if. You tried to read.
This duel and it would hurt. Kind of keep that shut.
All right, you go turn around. Malagus.
Goes all right, higher's not. Looting the body.
All right, hold on. He goes running back.
The entire ceiling shutters again, and another giant organ
falls out of the ceiling. This time some sort of stomach

(03:47:16):
with tubing splorts on the ground, narrowly missing one of
the zombies. I tuck my nose into my shirt and
I I just try. To help Malagus loot the body.
Except I'll roll the investigation chick.
All right? He will help you.
Go ahead and roll the Vantage, OK?
It's a 30. 30 + 11 it's a 30 it's.

(03:47:45):
A 30 this is. Good, A 30 is enough to go
through. Quickly.
You hear a shot from the front of.
Samir goes all right, I'm. Pressing it, You better get here
in a minute, I'll be there. And Samir throws out his
backpack and begins punching it in the side in a couple key
places as the whole thing beginsexpanding out quickly into a
lemons tiny Hut. Oh my God.
All right, climb in. Let's get Monty in here all

(03:48:07):
right. Monty looks good.
Oh well. Monty looks bad.
OK Tyree come in. Doolum looking good buddy.
Doolum untouched as usual at theball.
How many times did Dylan get hitin this dungeon?
Was it less than time they. Died.
Yeah. Crazy.

(03:48:31):
Did you get hit once by the beartrap?
Oh. Yeah, the bear.
Trap. See, Dylan's gonna have
nightmares about that bear trap. All right.
So but you. Guys are still in this?
Room. That's falling.
Apart. Fast you and Malicus, as well as
the poor zombies who are going to die.
Looking up at the hypno pattern, they died the way they lived.

(03:48:53):
So looting for 30? The obvious, most obvious.
Thing is the. Wretched grim that Doolum
already grabbed that cursed tome.
Cursed. Who said that?
Also on this figure you find onevery.
Magical looking ring sick huge aabout a fist size Lantern that

(03:49:16):
seems to. Contain.
One of those green will of the wisps.
Obviously there is the black robe that this figure has on
which. Looks fairly.
Fine, it might be magical. You're not sure.
I'll I'll go ahead and slide that offer.
It's like this is disgusting RFS.
But it really can't get worse than being in a giant flesh
tunnel which is bleeding on him.It is bleeding out on you.

(03:49:36):
You also find survival. You find some smaller stuff you.
Find a very fine. Silver pocket watch that you
think? You could sell for 80 gold
pieces. OK, a vial of alchemists fire.
You find some papers which all look to be written lectures.
For. Necromancer.
You know, basically Jorah's necromancer shit that she was

(03:49:59):
doing here. OK, I actually shoved those in
my bag. A lot of erratic scribbles you
find. A collection of bones.
Lots of bones and a big old pouch.
Not interested in those. You also find an ink bottle.
Dark and thick. OK.
As well, you also find what looks to be a very fine quill.

(03:50:19):
Which you think might be. Magic and with a 30 you find a
carefully. Folded and.
