Russian Folklore
Russian folklore is a collective name for works of Russian oral folklore. Russian folklore was passed down from generation to generation in the form of songs or tales, the authorship of which has not been preserved. The size of works of Russian folklore varies from an epic epic to a short proverb. The study of Russian folklore began in the XIX century. The most important genres of Russian folklore are epics, songs, fairy tales and conspiracies.
