In the story you are about to hear the heroine is a young woman of 77 who has reached her golden years with her sense of independence in tact, with a spryness to her limbs, very good vision and excellent hearing. But as you are about to learn there are times when hearing well is not a blessing… A kindly old woman whose lodger confesses to a murder on his deathbed, and tells her that the man convicted of the crime is innocent. She begins to investigate, hoping to clear the name of the wrongly convicted man, but soon discovers that sinister forces are still at work! What is the truth behind this murder? What was it that made her lodger sick in the first place?
