Aarti Gupta Surendranath is an Indian model, actress, producer, and environmental advocate.  She began her modeling career at 15 with a Sunsilk shampoo advertisement and gained prominence in the 1980s through campaigns for Garden Sarees and Bombay Dyeing Sarees.  Transitioning into films, she debuted in the horror genre with "Purana Mandir" (1984) and appeared in other films like "Janbaaz" (1986) and "Aashiana" (1986).  Beyond acting, Aarti contributed significantly to Indian advertising, co-producing the iconic national integration film "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" (1988) and its sequel "Phir Mile Sur" (2010).  She also worked as a creative producer for the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign (2022).  An advocate for wildlife conservation, she has been involved with the Wildlife Trust of India, focusing on protecting the endangered Tibetan antelope.  Married to ad filmmaker Kailash Surendranath, they have two children: Angadveer, a director, and Kshiraja, a classical Odissi dancer.
