Speaker 4 (01:11):
Hey, wasn't that cool for about two minutes and fifty
seconds yesterday. I'm not talking about the betterm either. It
was about two minutes and fifty seconds of just yeah,
this is great. Two thousand Nine's not gonna happen, right
for people that don't remember, Like, the twins just kept coming,
They just kept coming, They just kept coming, And of
(01:34):
course it came down to one sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Three that day.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Things are things are getting uh, things are getting a
little tight.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
I'm not worried they're gonna win this division, right KG.
I'm looking at KG right now.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Yeah, come on, it's over with, right KG. It's still
over with? Yes, I think so I really do now playoffs?
Different story.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Word about it? Hasn't that been the routine for a
while now, Like, I'm not trying to be funny, I'm
not trying to be Debbie Downer. Guy. It was like, okay, well, yeah,
we're gonna win the division, but I just don't have
a lot of faith in this team come playoff time.
Speaker 6 (02:12):
Yeah, I mean the way they're pitching right now. I
mean the offense has been nice over the last few games,
but overall, just it's not consistent enough, man, and you
do worry what it's.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Gonna look like in a playoff situation.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
But how how tork of a night was that for
Torque last night? Like seriously, how how tork of a
knight was that? That was? That was like, that was Torque? Okay,
you you he finally had a nice knight from the
plate and then there were the gaps and that's like,
to me, that's Torque.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yeah, Like he's just is.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Frustrating a word? Am I being mean to poor a little? Torque?
Is frustrating a word with that guy.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
Yeah, I guess you could say that we were expecting
forty homers one hundred and twenty. RBIs back to seventy
and it just hasn't happened. He's like a thirty home
run guy. Maybe I'll hit your ninety ribs and he's
gonna bat under two fifties. That's the way he looks
like he's gonna be. He looks like he's a decent
first baseman.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Man. I hope they get their flowers, though, I'm gonna
say it again, if they if they can take it'd
be great if they took the next two, make no
mistake about that. I would love for them to be
able to clinch on Sunday when the Lions are playing.
That would be cool.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
It really would be.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Because, I mean, look, they get they get lost in
the mix. There's no other way. Everybody wants to talk
about the Lions. And we're gonna talk about the Lions,
you know, we will every day. That's the talk of
the down period. End of story. That's that's the way
it is. But with everything else going on with this
baseball team and especially this I mean this is a
huge series, man, And look at it from Cleveland's perspective.
(03:51):
I mean they're probably sitting back going, Okay, we got
them where we want them. We'll continue to do all
the little things that we do that have made us
so synonymous with you know, be in the mix, never
really having a chance to win a World Series.
Speaker 7 (04:05):
They could have beat the Cubs, could have beat the Cubs,
they didn't.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Just like they didn't back in the nineties.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
You know, could have beat the Braves.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah, a couple of different times. But yeah, you know what,
at the end of the day, Hey, you know what's
nice though, we had two of our farm clubs.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yes, congrats to the Flying Tigers.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
That's great.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
More prospects coming.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Right, Yeah, I'm happy for those guys.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
So happens worked out really well.
Speaker 7 (04:35):
I thought last night was I'm not gonna say a
must win, but a very important win for the Tigers
to go up seven and a half. Now it's five
and a half, and they breathed life into into Cleveland.
They have Cleveland is rolling. They have won eleven of
twelve and they've cut the lead down. And I kept
(04:58):
bringing it up months ago about when the Red Sox
and Yankees would chase at each other back in the seventies,
and the Yankees came back from fourteen and a half
back in August, took the lead, lost it the last
week of the season. Tie went to game won sixty three.
Bucky Dent Yankees went on to win two World Series
in a row and lose the third. But this team
(05:20):
is They're flawed, as we know, but they play hard.
You can yell and say torch Shinder ran the second
base I think in the seventh inning on that pass
ball barely got caught at second base, thrown out, and
then the Tigers scored a run after that, could have
scored two to tide the game, and then Carpenter could
(05:40):
have won the damn game on that pinch at home run.
It was amazing how high I was bowling last night
and the place exploded, absolutely exploded. It felt like a
playoff game last night. Matter of fact, right now we're
in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
We are.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
We're five and a half up with eleven to play.
Two more against Cleveland this week and three Atlanta, then
three at Cleveland and then three at the Red Sox.
That's a tough finish, five and a half. Man, it's
not a lot of games.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
You know.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
There are so many things to kind of dissect here.
And I remember talking to Kg before the season. People
out there don't know Kg's a huge Tiger fan. I
don't want to put words in your mouth, but I
think I can say that I think I can say that. Okay,
I don't think we're at lion territory yet with the Tigers,
(06:32):
anything short of a World Series, you know type of stuff. Right,
You didn't expect himfore the year. I didn't, you know,
I know some people did and everything, But I can't
help but think of like where this franchise is at,
because baseball is a different thing. And I say this
time and time again. I was talking about it fifteen
years ago when you guys were all throwing slander on
(06:53):
Dave Dombrowski's name. I talked about it ten years ago
with Alavila's the greatest general manager in the history of
general manager. You guys can deny it all you want.
I heard it from so many of you. It was absurd. Okay.
It's hard for me to get excited about about the
success that some of the farm clubs are having when
(07:15):
the reality of major League Baseball, the reality this isn't
This isn't an opinion. The reality of major League Baseball
is teams that are lower in the payroll don't go win.
They don't they do not win. That That again, that
is not an opinion. That is reality. Okay, So part
(07:39):
of my I guess the best word would be emotional
response to this is Okay, well, that's fine and dandy,
and we'll hear about the next man, Matt Manning, and
we'll hear about the next dazz camera, and we'll bring
up all these little names, and surely they're gonna Jake
Rogers all all of them. Well, throw out every name. Okay,
(08:01):
we all know the names whatever. Okay, but the reality
is we're in a position and we're with an ownership group
that has not shown us that they want to spend
like other major league teams do. And that's what that
That's why I get back to Debbie Downer, because I
(08:22):
know the reality of major League baseball. Okay, I've watched
the Cleveland Indians and Guardians. I've watched the Tampa Rays. Hey,
the Milwaukee.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Brewers, Yeah, another story.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Seriously, what they're on an incredible run, man.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
And they probably gonna get bounced in the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
You got it. And and that's what frustrates me. It
keeps coming back. So the reason why I bring up
the lines KG everybody agrees, and I think everybody in
the chat agrease. It is Super Bowl or bust for
the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Right, yeah, that's it. But it's it's because of the
makeup of the roster. You can tell every piece on
a Lions team is built for a Super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
I can't say that with the Tigers, like their roster
have been incomplete since the beginning of the season. They
just played above their heads and they kind of made
people go, Okay, well, I think this is a World
Series team. But all along, I'm like, I just want
them to get one step closer than what they got
last year, and I feel like they're more in line.
But at least with the Lions, they told you straight up, like,
(09:26):
say what you want about Brad Holmes.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
When he goes to the podium, he tells you what
he's going to do before he does it.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
With Scott Harris, we were told, Okay, we'll spend money
when the time is right. It kind of seemed like
the time is right when you become the first place
team in all of baseball and especially in the Al Central,
and we just haven't got that.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
If I hit a bell, I'd hit the bell. There
you go now and see KG and I get it.
It's this really is comparing apples to oranges, because there
is a salary cap in football, okay, and everybody he
spends at or around the salary cap. Some people, as
we know, hold on to a little money and say, well,
(10:08):
we might need this sooner rather than later to lock
up some of our guys. Okay, you draft your own talent.
And that's where I'm at with the Tigers right now.
And it's funny that you use that terminology, KG, because
you know they did take a step up this year.
They did, regardless of how ticked off you might be
right now. Okay, they did take a step up this year.
(10:29):
And I am in no way, shape or form, in
any position to start thinking world series for this franchise.
How can you not this year, not next year, not
the year beyond. And that's what frustrates me.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Yeah, and it's annoying when you have the best picture
on God's Green Earth that literally like saves series for
you that you are just unwilling to pay at this point.
I don't know whether it's unwilling or just I don't know, man,
I don't.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Know what the TERRYK. Schoogl situation is.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
And that's where I can vibe with a lot of fans,
especially going into twenty six, because he's not gonna be
on the books after next year, and if you waste
what he has given you over these last two years,
then it's kind of like, Okay, how do the Tigers
bounce back.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
From then in the future.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
I don't see a path out they can unless that
young talent that they're bringing up is the ones like
the Max Clark's, the mcgonacles.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
They have to hit on those. I absolutely have to
hit on.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
I don't think enough was said KG along the lines
of what you just said to I don't think enough
was said when when Harris came out and said he
doesn't believe there's a Schooba window. I really I don't
think enough is said about that. That was mind boggling
to me. That was crazy. What do you And and
and again let's use Clark and McConney because they're the
next two, right, I mean, forget all the fifty names
(11:46):
that we've mentioned, were forty six of them panned out
to nothing, okay, but clearly these two are the next two,
no doubt about it. They're gonna be all stars for years, Okay,
no doubt about that. So what's the earliest you think
we're gonna see these guys. The earliest you.
Speaker 6 (12:03):
Might see some of them next year September call ups
next year, Okay, if they don't make it out of
you know, Spring turn.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
So let's let's think about that, because I tell I
think maybe you see one of them during the regular season,
and you see both of them in September. Okay, so
you have both of them in September and then you
have the last month of September and then you have
the playoffs. That is the Scooba window.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
It is.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
That's it. That's the window. It is because Scott, you're
not gonna sit there with a straight face and say
we're gonna resign this guy, right.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
I hope he proves us wrong. I would. I would
love no evidence.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Would.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
I would be the first guy. I swear to God,
I would stand up here and go Christopher Illich, Scott Harris,
my bad. I've been wrong before. I'll be wrong again.
There is no evidence to believe that they are gonna say,
here's a check book, you fill out the check.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Yeah, we're not even doing it.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
You do it here, maz I want you to write
a check to yourself. Okay, I'm gonna turn my back.
You do whatever we are going to make. So when
I hear that, do you know what it is to me?
And I think this was this franchise's problem, whether they
want to admit it or not. Quite Frankly, I'm not
gonna lie to you. I think it was by design.
(13:16):
It was always putting that carrot out in front of
people during the Avila era. Yeah, don't worry, don't look
what we're doing.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
We're doing everything right right.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
Wait till you see this guy? Wait too, how many
Catchers of the Future did we have a lot just
alone in that right, a lot and it's just kicking
the can down that. Don't worry, no, no, look, look
what we're doing. We're building the right way. Well do
you know what I think? Building the way? Right way
is just one man's opinion when in the fucking World series, right,
(13:48):
that's what I think building the right way is? What
do I know that?
Speaker 6 (13:51):
Not having two good years out of the last decade,
you know, it's just it's it's crazy.
Speaker 5 (13:56):
But it is what it is.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
But I do want to ask you to the people,
would ask like like kind of like a Matt Sheppard
type shout.
Speaker 5 (14:02):
Out to ship two to four every day.
Speaker 6 (14:04):
He's like, I don't want to pay a picture that
much money over that long of a contract because he's
gonna be a dud after five years of that contract.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Like, do you agree with that? What's your take on that.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
I want to go all in now while you have
him period, end of story. I want to go all
worry about the particular. I want to go all in now.
And when I say now, I don't necessarily mean this year.
I don't necessarily mean this year before next November rolls around. Yes,
(14:37):
go all in now.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
See no reason why we can't do.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
You know, like like honestly, And that's why I go
back to the trade deadline and so many people, I mean, hell,
just just in our room that night, right because it
was there was a Lions exhibition game that night, and
we had so many people in here at Woodward and
we went back and forth, what did he do? What
did he do? It was a terrible trade deadline? Can
(15:02):
we all admit that now? It was a terrible It
was a terrible trade deadline. Okay, Finnegan was out. But overall,
did we need a bad We didn't get a bat? Okay,
did we need help with starting pitching? We got two
gas cans we we we needed a bullpen arm and
(15:27):
you're absolutely. Montero to a lesser.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Extent turned out to be pretty good.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
But Finnegan Finnegan, no doubt about it. And hopefully he's
back in the next couple of weeks. You know, That's
what I'm talking too. But overall, overall, I mean, both
things can be true. I can say, hey, Finnegan, man,
geez dude, okay, but overall it was it was not
it was a disaster. Let's be honest. It was. It
(15:54):
was a disaster. And so that's where I'm at with
this team right now. I'm not sitting here today playing
the Lion's routine. The Lions have to win the Super Bowl.
They have to. There's no other thing that's gonna.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
They've put themselves in a position. You got it to
be that the Tigers haven't done that to this point.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
No, I don't. I don't think they have. And that's
why I get so angry when when I when I
heard him talk about there is no schoobl window, I
get I get pissed. You have undoubtedly the best picture
in the planet. Okay, you gotta win with him, man,
I'm gonna say it again. It's been forty one years.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
Or y'all, it's a privilege to be watching like October baseball.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
Like he pretty much you should be thankful for what
you're getting. It's kind just not right out.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
I forgot my privilege last night. That's I should have
corrected myself as I watched them implode, as I watched
will Vest do will Vest things, I literally should have said,
you know what, why are you getting mad?
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Do you know how great this is?
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
To be up five and a half days awesome in August.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
It was watching it for two minutes.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
And fifty seconds.
Speaker 7 (17:01):
It was torturous, but it was It was like a
playoff game. They that was a playoff game, and I
expect the same tonight. We hope we get good Jack tonight.
And school's supposed to go tomorrow. We'll see how he feels.
That's an afternoon game. Then Atlanta comes in, so buckle up, man.
Five and a half and eleven ago, I.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Read yesterday schoobl had a normal session. Okay, cool, let's go.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
He had a normal boll movie.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
I think he's gonna be okay, But yeah, I think so.
For him to get injured right now, not good.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Not good.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
I hate this feeling, though, like and I'm just calling
myself out. I hate this feeling of looking at a
huge series like this and saying to myself, and I
caught myself doing it yesterday, even before the loss. Okay,
just take one in this series. Damn, how many of
you did it? No, really, how many of you did it?
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Okay, just to keep it at five and a half.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
Just take one, Just take one in this series.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Well, part of it is, though, the reality is and
I'm so tired. Okay, I'm gonna go on a rain again.
If there is a more useless Staton Baseball than a
pitcher's win, let me know. I'm sorry it's useless. And
I got all your casey buys. When that guy can't
(18:24):
make it out of the fifth inning more often than not,
I'm sorry. I think that's a problem. I do. I
think it's a problem.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
He did get out of the fifth, he went.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Five and a third. That's my guy.
Speaker 7 (18:35):
I looked up and I saw two men on base,
and I'm like, it's gotta be the sixth inning.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
It was. It was.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
It was almost a quality start. I hate that stat too. Sorry,
with all due respect, I get it a four and
a half e R. That's that's what a quality start is.
A four and a half VRA's a quality start. No,
uh no, it's not. But this is where we're at.
You know, you know, you know Casey was on the mound.
(19:02):
You don't know what you're gonna get out of him.
You know you're probably gonna get around five innings, you
know that.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
All right?
Speaker 4 (19:07):
That set your set your watch.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Maybe a couple of solo shots and.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
You know what he's gonna go through that stretcher. Oh
my gosh, Casey's got eight strikes. Look, oh my gosh,
number one pick overall Yay prospects and Jack. And so
that's why I.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Said strikeoutse four home runs given.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Right, And that's why I said, like KG, I'm calling
me out. That's why he said, all right, find a
way to win one. And and I'm not gonna be
too mad. No, you know what I want to say,
pump them. Yeah, you're better.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
Than that are And it's it's just sad that one
game out of a series of nuts.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
But they're gonna be okay.
Speaker 6 (19:48):
They got enough, they're competent enough to finish this thing
out with the central it's just about the playoffs at
this point, yep, I don't know what to expect from
them out of the playoffs.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
I don't just remember that Seattle's won ten straight. They
are two back of the Tigers for the number two spot,
and that number two spots get you out of the
wild card round, so you would sit and wait for
the Alds, so you would get the winner of Seattle.
And I think Houston might have moved back a little
and I'm not sure who moved up. But if you
(20:20):
check the playoff run again, Sean, I think right now
it would be Yankees Astros in the wild card and
Seattle will be playing. Would it be the Red Sox
Maybe not sure. I gotta check that out again. But
I did hear that Houston move back a little bit.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
I was talking to Shep about this, and again, check
out Braylin and Shep every day two to four. I
was talking to Shep about this last night. The three
game series terrifies me so much. I'm more terrified of
the three game series than the five game series. And
here's why. Look at this Cleveland series. Look at this
(20:59):
Cleveland series right now, okay, because what you have in
this Cleveland series is you have the best picture on
the planet. And then you have Casey Meisen and Jack
Flaherty who both of them again, pull out your coin,
flip a coin, which coin? Which guy? You're getting heads?
It's good tails, it's man, Oh shit, it's sails, right.
I mean so in a three game series, that could
(21:23):
be a dagger. You could roll school out there in
game one and he could do schoobl things okay, and
the Tigers could could grind away a two to one
victory the bullpen hangs on whatever the case may be. Okay,
But then you have to roll with those two and
I don't care who you I don't know how you
could have confidence in them, as I don't know how
you could have confidence in this ownership to spend more,
(21:46):
even though they said we're gonna spend when we're ready,
there's no evidence to suggest that. But at least in
a game five series, you could sit back and go, Okay,
we got game one, We're gonna send Jack out there
in game two. We have a day arrest. We'll throw
buys out there in game three, and if we need to,
we can we can use schooble on four days rest
(22:07):
in game four. If we don't need to maybe we
can just keep them on track. And how would you
like to face Trek schoobl in a decide in Game five?
I don't care if it's in Hell. Okay, honestly, Satan
and his minions are are are the opponent, and you're
on the road in Hell. I'll take Tarror School.
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Oh yeah, Terror Schoopler is the devil.
Speaker 7 (22:27):
Well, that's true because Cleveland did take him out in
Game five last year.
Speaker 4 (22:32):
I do remember that.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Thank you, David Fryed.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Just I'm giving her all.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
She's got captain, That's exactly We'll see what happens. I
don't know. I still think they win the division. I
want to mass to your point. I want to avoid
that first source more than anything, because I hate they're
gonna be out like that man, and I hate that feeling.
(22:57):
I hate that feeling.
Speaker 7 (22:59):
Would you like to switch spots right now? The team
went one of the best records in baseball all year?
Right now or last year's Tigers that were coming up
to catch Minnesota and try to get Cleveland, because I
think that we were talking more about the Tigers last
(23:19):
year than we are this Because that magical, that magical
pied piper with the bullpen.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
It's the E word. It's expectations. Yeah, everything changes with expectations.
Do you know what? And I remember a KG you
and I were talking about this, Okay, do you know
what it reminded me of. It reminded me at the
end of two thousand and six, like I'm I was
not mad at the Tigers. Okay. Years later I got
mad at that team, Okay, but in that moment, I
(23:47):
wasn't mad because it was such a magical season and
we thought it was over and then it was really
over against the Yankees, right, there's no way we were
going to go beat the Yankees. And then all that
stuff happened, and then it hit me. I was like, oh, okay,
it's not gonna be as fun as this for a
long time because of expectations.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
Yeah, and because we were so starved before that, and
the same thing last year. We had been so starved
for good Tiger baseball. And they went on this miraculous
ten and a half game back run, which coincided with
the Minnesota Twins having an epic collapse, and they got
into the playoffs and won a series. Like you might
have thought they were done. Okay, it's been cute. They
getting the playoffs, they get bounced. They actually went in
(24:25):
won a series and could have won too, Like when
you really look back at it, So it's just like, man,
you you really want this team to take the next step,
but it just doesn't seem like ownership believes in the team,
and it doesn't seem like And say what you want
about Scott Harris, I think he's I think he's good.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
I won't say he's a great gym, but I think
he's good.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
But I also think he has to deal with things
that we don't always get to see because why else
to this point haven't you spent any money? And then
if you're gonna spend money, why Alex kyb You know,
it just just like decisions like that.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
That is that is the million dollar question. How much
is he handcuffed? It is he? And I mean that's
the million dollar question.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Look at the Wings. I mean it's the same ownership,
the same situation, It looks, it smells the same.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
The Wings are literally in the same situation practically as.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
I mean with a cat. But yes, yes, you know
that's I'm gonna say it again, and I know every
baseball fan and every baseball player will get furious at me.
Major League Baseball desperately needs a cap and it's coming.
It's coming. They know it.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Oh, it's definitely they competitive with the cap.
Speaker 4 (25:36):
They know it.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
The Dodgers will figure a way to pay you twenty
years down the line. Anyway, they'll always circumvent. It does
teams like that that are going to circumvent no matter
what the hell you're put in front of them.
Speaker 5 (25:46):
By the way, put this fake business in his name.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
No show jobs. It's not like we haven't seen that
or anything.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
Right, you had to give you a business that you
don't have to.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
It's a Sopranos episode, right, I mean, just to throw
some note show jobs out there.
Speaker 7 (25:58):
Freddy Felt did say the Tigers right now would look
at the winner of the Mariners, Red Sox, Yankees and
Astros would get the winner, would would would play the Jays.
So the Red Sox did move up the Astros.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Could you could you imagine could you imagine half in
to face with that staff.
Speaker 7 (26:18):
No, they're red Hot and cal Raley. You saw what
they did to us. You saw what they did to us.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
They've had our number all year.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
We'll see You'll know it'll they're gonna win the division.
I just terrified that they end up playing in that
first round. I am. I'm terrified.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Hey, I gotta show everyone.
Speaker 7 (26:36):
I broke out the old two thousand and three All
Star Jersey today to try to get some luck. The
thing is twenty two years old. Shout out, all right,
I got pudge on the back. I'm going to the
game tonight. Jack, Come on, man, disappoint give me a
little something.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
Give me a little Tigers win again.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
Something.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Come on, man, can definitely give you something.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, you'll get something on right there. You might not
like it, but you're gonna get something.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Three letters, yea, three three damn letters.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
I appreciate y'all. Yesterday y'all had to be cracking up
while I was at home not feeling the best.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Well, I'm glad you're feeling better. Hey, we want a
half hour commercial free radio. Poor poor uh, poor JB
in the other rooms going, why do you do me?
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Like?
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Lots of stuff going on though. We're gonna get into
some Lions stuff. The Marcus Davenport.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Thing news on him.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
Of course, there is.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
Your clip yesterday blew up on too about himself. Yeah, man,
he's the talk of the town this week. Geez, we
haven't even talked Ravens. We talked more about Mark. Is
that important? Did the day of Raven's coming up on
Monday night football?
Speaker 4 (27:52):
This is all right, we'll say that all right because
JB's there's steam coming out of his ears right now.
I can see it through his headphones right now. We're
so late. Hey, appreciate you guys being in. I know
Mas talked about some of the chat you guys. Appreciate
you being involved every day. Of course, the super chat.
You go to the front of the line, JP, where
are we going?
Speaker 8 (28:12):
We gotta hear from mad Pads and then Art and Jakes.
But personal and clear up to these super Chess. Shout
out to everyone sitting in super Chess right now.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Shout out from Burn.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
He sends in.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
He says, I think the Vikings got Christian.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Pondered again, Oh not Christian?
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Was he married?
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Yes? That was one. If I'm not mistaken, you guys
can fact check me that that's what allowed Nick Fairly
to fall in the Lion's lab. And I thought that
that was one of the greatest picks the Lions ever had.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
What could have been?
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Yeah, I really did. But but when they and and
that was like one of the examples I always use
is like, man, when you think quarterback aren't gonna go early,
think again. Somebody's gonna fall in love with the guy.
Unless your name is Shador Sanders. Somebody's gonna fall in
love with the guy and end up picking a guy
he has no business going. That's just the way it
is because of the importance of the quarterbacks.
Speaker 7 (29:12):
You hear the Ravens we're gonna take him Chadure and
he told the Ravens, don't pick me. I don't want
to sit behind Lamar Jackson. So four picks later, Cleveland
took him.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
I'm not mad. He just wanted an opportunity to start.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah he's fourth, Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Yeah he went to a team that didn't really want him. So,
I mean, it is what it is.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
I know what. You know what though, when you look
at when you look at the brown step chart, there's
no reason why he can't go like that, even with
Dylan Gabriel.
Speaker 6 (29:39):
Yeah, like there's no reason fifty year old geriatric Joe Flacco, Like,
I not get it.
Speaker 5 (29:45):
Bro respect to Joe Flacco, but come.
Speaker 9 (29:46):
On if yeah, what what what mules were talking about?
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (29:59):
Man, we got nineteen ninety nine from Dante says, and
he said, I know the Tigers could have won that
game last night if Perez didn't get thrown out at
home in the second inning, because if you think about
it would have been tied in the sixth and Carpenter
would have won it in the night.
Speaker 7 (30:15):
Maybe that's how the Tigers play. They don't have the talent,
so they played the hustle game. They lead the majors
and taking the extra base, so you got to roll
the dice once in a while.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
That's how they play.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
I love the station to station routine. I do first
to third. I love that. That's fantastic, that's what they do.
But how many dumb third to home moments do we have?
Speaker 3 (30:37):
A lot?
Speaker 4 (30:37):
We got a few, really, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
Joey Korra's arm is constantly in motion.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
Jesus.
Speaker 8 (30:47):
And finally, one last one from Burn, two dollars, he
sends in the Lions are going to be five and
two going into the bye wing.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Love to hear it.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
All right, Burn, let's look at that time come back?
All right, let's look at that want to come back.
I don't feel good about this one. I'm not gonna lie.
Do you want me to lie to you?
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Spread? Drop the point?
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Yay, the Lions are gonna go on to Baltimore and win.
But what is Baltimore doing exceptionally well? Forget about the
offense they're getting.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
After the quarter No, that's a fact that offensive line
is ready.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Forget.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
They gave up a bunch to Buffalo that terrifies me.
A lot of points to Buffalo.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
I think, No, no, no, no, events, I don't. I
don't like this matchup though, of them being able to
get after the quarterback and and us even though we
were better last week. A lot of room for improvement.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Yeah, and it might turn into a track meeting, and
that's what you don't want. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, all right,
where we're going, JB.
Speaker 8 (31:41):
We gotta hear from Mad Packs then artin Jakes.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
So okay, hey, let me tell the people about Mad Packs.

My gosh?
Speaker 4 (35:27):
It doesn't get much more Detroit than Buddi's Pizza. That
work of art right now has been going strong since
nineteen forty six. They are the originator of the Detroit
style pizza. You see other places talking about their Detroit
style pizza. Buddies is Detroit style pizza. It been here
(35:48):
seventy nine years. Dedicated community partner as well. And that
right there is just yet another reason why you should
give Buddies a jingle. Save ten percent on your entire
order simply by using promo code ten meal at Buddiespizza
dot Com. Ten percent. I would destroy that right now,
(36:10):
no questions asked. I could borrow some of the meta
muscle and fiber bars that AG was just talking about.
I would destroy that right now. I'd also use ten
I'd save ten percent simply by using promo code ten meal.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Check them out, Buddies, wish they were open at seven am.
I'd pick us up a breakfast pie.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Oh, I wouldn't heard what? Wouldn't even think twice about it?
We should put out a call sometimes.
Speaker 8 (36:39):
Is there any way you guys can hold the batphone?
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Is there any way that you guys we could call
it the fat phone? Right? Let's I'd ordered pizza for
all you guys. Wouldn't even think twice.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Let's go buddy, all right?
Speaker 4 (36:51):
So Burn brought up five and two by the by
ready and again, this is a number another reason why
the schedule. Game is so dumb. Okay, Ravens go around
the room right now, right now, w or L do
you want me to start L there? I got you
got a w JB l kg unfortunate Okay, So we
(37:17):
got him at one and two, Mas, you're at two
on one the Browns that thank you, the Bengals when
that was of course, that was when we were a
little worried about.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
It, right, Jake Browning, don't scare me, you know, like
his girlfriend though.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
Joe Burrow, Joe Burrow and the Bengal powers get better
in October, as you know. So that was the one
thing I was like, well, that's early October, so I
don't know.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
Yeah, but they don't have a defense. Our offense is
going to run rough one.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
Hey, here's another game that a lot of people were
terrified over. The Chiefs. The Chiefs on a Sunday night. Absolutely,
they're a mess.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
That'll be my l You're.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
Gonna take the okay Buccaneers at Ford Field.
Speaker 7 (38:00):
That's that's a hell of a game. Overtime win. I
like the overtime win, then the break burn.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
We all everybody in this room agrees with you. Five
and two heading into the break best case scenario five,
and that sounds good and I would have taken at
the beginning of the year.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
God, because those AFC matchups don't look as daunting. The
biggest one is the one coming up.
Speaker 7 (38:20):
So the only hard games going forward besides your your
division games will be the Eagles and maybe maybe Washington
the commander the command maybe.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
I stand on business.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
They do not look like the they don't.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
I brought that up to man. I was texing mass.
I said, I watched him against his giants, and then
I watch him again last week.
Speaker 5 (38:42):
There's something much to help him.
Speaker 6 (38:44):
I mean, say what you want. Deebo Samuel, He's not
a great wide receiver. He's never been an actual great
white receiver. He's been good, but they use him as
a running back.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
He's like, yeah, like I just but he's old.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
He's banged up. Like they just did not do enough
to facilitate. They lost a lot on defense as well.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
So but but to Burns point is in this kind
of what we thought we thought the Lions would feast
in the last month and a half. Yeah right, I mean,
you get you get the Packers at home, you get
the Cowboys at home. You have to go to l A. Yeah,
and that's still a good team. Okay, Do I think
we'll beat them? I dude, I really do you get
the Steelers at home? You're at Kuchi Kuchiko and you're
(39:22):
at fuck them?
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Yeah, Like I I like, I like got chances, and.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
You're still gonna hear people cry.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
I got them as an l in l A.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
People are still gonna cry. I mean even if five
and two going into the break, you know, people are, Oh,
you guys are celebrating a team that lost as many
games in the first seven as they did in seventeen
last year.
Speaker 5 (39:44):
If you're saying that's you a fucking nerd, get out,
you get out of here, bro, stuff you in locker.
That's why I'm telling me, like what five and two
is like literally the best case scenario.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
Right, I'll take it every single day. And and I
will follow this up with I don't give it damn
if they are even eleven and six, Like, win the division,
go eleven and six. I don't care. Make your bread
in the playoff. It's that simple. That's it. That's what
we've graduated.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Man, all those cute things we.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
Like about the Tigers to your next up. You know
all the little prospects keep doing well.
Speaker 6 (40:19):
I did that.
Speaker 4 (40:22):
I'm an old man right now, your dumb dad, can
you tell me why?
Speaker 11 (40:29):
Just throw his hand?
Speaker 4 (40:32):
Oh, we got some Marcus Davenport news, so right we do.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Can give us that, JB.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
What do we got on the Marcus Davenport front? Oh boy?
Speaker 8 (40:40):
Obviously from Dan Campbell this morning. Shout out to UH
Detroit Sports Network. They put it out there. Thanks fellas
UH to give you this little update. But Dan Campbell
says there is no there is no new.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
That's bullshit. Mark, that's such bullshit.
Speaker 4 (40:59):
There's no news. The news is I broke the news.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
On Sunday during the watch party. What did I say? KG?
Speaker 5 (41:06):
You said he's done, over done.
Speaker 8 (41:09):
Dan Campbell said, there is no news, nothing new.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
What does your mother tell you?
Speaker 7 (41:14):
If you don't have anything good to say, don't say
anything at all, That's what he's saying.
Speaker 5 (41:18):
Well, I mean, my parents taught me that no news
is good news, but in this.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
Situation it might not be.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
Your parents never met the Lions.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
I feel sorry for the guy. I really really truly
believe his want and desire is there. I do, and
I also feel sorry for him in the regard that.
As I said yesterday, kg him getting pissed at people
for talking this way. He's the only one not in
on the joke. Dude. You have to understand, Marcus, my guy.
(41:51):
We want you here.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
It's nothing personal, but it's this business.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
If people keep it, if people keep talking about your
inability to stay healthy and you can't stay healthy, should
we lie.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
Yeah, But I mean it's it's just tough because that's
he can't control that. That's the only thing I can understand.
What the human part of him getting annoyed by all
of the injury talk, but it's part of his history.
Speaker 15 (42:14):
We have to bring it up as fans. Before you
got here, you had Hella injuries as a Lion. You
have now had a lot of injuries, and it's just unfortunate.
But this is where I kind of side with fans.
And this is not me going against Brad. This is
not me, you know, saying Brad sucks or anything like that.
I think he's far from that. But I can agree
with fans when they say this is.
Speaker 6 (42:34):
Not on Davenport, this is more on Holmes because this
was your decision to make him the I won't say
focal point, but he was gonna be the the one
b on the other side of Hutch And this is
what you chose.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
So now you have to live with the repets.
Speaker 7 (42:48):
Listen, man, if you go back to that tackle, I still,
for the life of me can't see where he got hurt.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
I don't know. I'm with you.
Speaker 7 (42:56):
It looks like he looks like he felt no, he
fell backwards, like he felt comfortably, like.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
He fell out on a feather bed over.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
I got the picture.
Speaker 6 (43:07):
He fell on the side at first, and he rolled
on his back. And once he did the rollover, it
was kind of like, oh damn, not again. Man, It's
like a horror movie. It's like a horror movie with him. Man,
and I feel bad for the guy. He's not trying
to get hurt, but it's it's unfortunate, bro.
Speaker 4 (43:22):
And and listen, I empathized with his frustration about people
talking that way about him. I would be frustrated too.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Yeah, like he's human, But you have.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
To understand where it's coming from. Man, that nobody, nobody's
making shit up about you.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
We don't want to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
No, that's the last thing I want.
Speaker 5 (43:39):
It continues to come up. KG.
Speaker 4 (43:41):
You brought up such a great point because I I
I call it all or nothing thinking. Okay, I am
not I am a huge Brad Holmes Fane huge who
isn't a lot of people did you see people talking?
There are a lot of people that aren't huge fans.
But I'm also not gonna sit here and say that
he's infallible. Okay, nobody is. There are mistakes, Okay, there
(44:05):
are mistakes being made. There's no doubt about it. And
I'm one of those people. I think for two years now,
two years now, all right, counting twenty three, going into
twenty four, and quite frankly so far this year, so
we're going on year three, I think he has undervalue
the importance of defensive line depth.
Speaker 5 (44:25):
Maybe that's the case I do. He did go out
and get Hasenane.
Speaker 6 (44:30):
I know you shouldn't expect a lot from a six
round pick, but him getting hurt before the season did
not help things at all. And now with Davenport being hurt,
it seems like this is once again a need on
his team.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
And before you yell at me, okay, before you yell
at me, yes, I still like Brad. And it's funny
because I think some people all are nothing. They can't
differentiate that that. Yes, I can like Brad, but I
can also say, man, you know what hindsight being twenty twenty,
I gotta be honest with you. I felt that at
Treye deadline twenty twenty three as well. I was one
(45:03):
of those guys saying, please go out and get something, please, like,
look at what we are right there, and we saw
we were right there in twenty twenty three year. I
don't even remember. I remember Lomas and I were talking
about it and and there were a couple of names
out there, and.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
I just don't know. It just doesn't happen. Yeah, it
doesn't happen.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
It happened for other teams, but it didn't happen for us.
You know, a couple of there were a couple of
different moves that happened. So but with that being said,
I think sometimes people have a well I thought you
loved I do love Brad, I do rafting, but not
like this. Everything you do is the best, you know what,
I think. I remember going through that, especially JB. You'll
(45:47):
appreciate this. In the early portions of the D'Antonio era, Okay,
what he did was remarkable. That didn't mean that I
had to agree with every single move he made, Like
let's throw Andrew Max into the Notre Dame game. Well,
that was a stupid move, right, Well, I'm sorry, it
was a stupid move.
Speaker 6 (46:06):
And Brad has Knox, I mean clearly hindon Hooker, Broderick Martin.
You know, as far as drafting goes, he's had some
signings that haven't worked out. You're not gonna hit one
hundred on everything. And this is where I different and
she ate him from like Scott Harrison the Tigers, because
if you watch the moves and when he goes to
the podium, he tells you what his strategy is.
Speaker 5 (46:26):
He likes taking low cost effective players and turning them around.
Like but that's that's part of his strategy. But you're
gonna get burned on that type of strategy eventually.
Speaker 6 (46:37):
And when you made Marcus Davenport your second edge rusher
on this team, your second starting edge rusher on this team,
you put yourself in it in a position when he
goes and gets hurt at the beginning of seasons. Once again,
we haven't even got deep into a season. I think
fans would be more, you know, kind of settled if
if it was week eight, week nine, week ten where
(46:58):
he was getting hurt once again, he gets hurt in
Wheak two, We too.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
One and a half and fans one and a half.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
You guys are one thousand percent within your rights of saying, hey, Brad,
you put too much into this guy. You put an
emphasis on this guy to be part of the solution
as opposed to being part of the problem. And everybody
and their brother knows that there's an injury history there, Okay,
And I get it. Brad's betting on okay, just like
(47:27):
I'm betting on there is no possible way the Lions
can have the injury issues that they had last year.
Yeah right, yeah, can we all agree?
Speaker 3 (47:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (47:35):
What if they did?
Speaker 3 (47:35):
I know, or the wrong guy gets injured again?
Speaker 5 (47:39):
Right? Why do you think they keep putting belief in
him because we got to get down to the court.
Speaker 6 (47:43):
Is I think it's a Dan Campbell element maybe involved
in that because he when you look at where Davenport
came from, he came from New Orleans, so did Dan Campbell.
Maybe this is the guy that Dan Campbell keeps sticking
up for. And you know, Brad is maybe just going
with what the head coach believes.
Speaker 5 (48:00):
I don't know, but it's just it's hard to fathom,
like what the actual reason can be as to why
you keep putting so much faith in somebody with such
a injury history. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (48:09):
It's a good question. No, it's a good question. By
the way. You know what, man, I just looked at
h Chase Young and Montes Sweat were the two.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Yeah, definitely went to the bear.
Speaker 7 (48:20):
Chase Young was a guy that was never going to
be a lion his work. Effic He's the one Ohio
State guys that that that just didn't Montest Sweat was
going to get paid, but he was. He would have
been a hell of a guy.
Speaker 4 (48:34):
Heretastic.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
I think he leaves the lineup in Chicago everybody with
that Chase you stove.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
Oh, they helped the Niners. They got to a Super Bowl,
they lost that Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (48:42):
Yea, it is.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
I don't think he even helped them.
Speaker 5 (48:45):
Not not, Actually he helped them in the NFC Championship.
Speaker 7 (48:48):
Listen, are our gms here like to draft guys that
were good at one time or had positive stuff going
for them, but they're injured. How many injured guys did
Brad Holmes signed and how many of them have panned out?
Not many, Not many have panned out. None have panned
(49:12):
out free agent wise. The man is a champion for drafting.
He's a horrible free agent guy.
Speaker 5 (49:20):
Guy horrible, all right?
Speaker 3 (49:21):
Who did he bring that?
Speaker 6 (49:22):
David Montgomery was a name he brought him in. DJ
Reed was a name he brought him in at the time,
somebody like CJ. Gardner Johnson at the time.
Speaker 5 (49:31):
You liked him a lot.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
I love them.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
He was one of the better safeties in the league.
They brought him in.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
I mean, they they he.
Speaker 6 (49:37):
I wouldn't say failed. I wouldn't say he's failed in
the free agency department.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
It just hasn't You're right, You're right. Yeah, I let
my emotions get me.
Speaker 4 (49:45):
I like and you know what, KG, I I like
the way that you framed that as well, because I'm
gonna take a stagger an I'm gonna I'm gonna take
a step at this. Let's get to the core issue. Okay,
why are they putting faith in this guy? And I
hope it's not for this reason. Because I've watched good
general managers and I'll use Joe Dumars as a as
a shining example. I've watched Joe Dumars and good general
(50:10):
managers deal or excuse me, dig their heels in to
show people. No, no, no, no, I'm right yeah, And
I hope that's not part of it. I hope that's
not part of it. I know what people are saying,
but you don't see what I do. The cool thing
about a real good general manager and the reason why
I bring up Joe Dumars, Joe Dumars was a guy
(50:33):
that when he saw something wasn't working, he moved on
from it. The darko thing. He didn't let that. He
didn't let that marinate. He didn't let that marinate. Okay,
then you fast forward a couple of years and his
insistence that Rodney Stuckey was a point guard was part
of his undoing it. Really, it really was. I mean,
and he was adamant about He was adamant about. So
(50:57):
I don't know, but if I can take a stab
at it, because I kg, I think that's a brilliant question. Okay,
why the adamancy about this guy, Well, they they see something,
he's their quote unquote type of guy. All of that
stuff will got though, but the reality is, okay, he
can't stay healthy, and the only way to shut people
(51:19):
up is to stay healthy. And if you can't stay healthy,
what are people going to say?
Speaker 5 (51:25):
Your injury problem?
Speaker 4 (51:26):
Hey, you can't stay hop.
Speaker 5 (51:28):
Yeah, it's tough, man, It's tough sometimes.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Like I made the joke yesterday and it's not even
a joke. I'm being sincere. If Marcus came in here,
Marcus is standing out the window right now, just glarned
at us. He is ready to attack. Okay. The second
we go to the break, I get, you know, I
go like this to cover up and everything for the
for the pummeling. But before he started pumbling, I go, Marcus,
I understand how frustrating it is. Okay, but on a
(51:53):
common sense level, you've got to understand this, right right,
you you like you got to. I know you don't
feel it's right, But if you keep getting hurt, what
are we supposed to say?
Speaker 5 (52:07):
It's it's tough. I don't want to keep talking about it.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
It sucks.
Speaker 7 (52:12):
It sucks well, and it doubles down when you see
our GUYSA Darius Smith last week in Philly, basically three
practices with the team, and he's being and he's effective.
Speaker 4 (52:23):
He needs a whole camp and he ain't getting hurt.
Speaker 7 (52:25):
He needs three weeks that ship and now Cash dolls
wearing Philadelphia Eagles gear.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
So it just.
Speaker 7 (52:33):
That's that's what sticks in my craw when you see
a guy that we all wanted. We're all gms, we
all wanted this guy, and he didn't get him. He
let him go to the Eagles for crying out loud.
Speaker 4 (52:44):
Well and Mas, you know what, you doubled down, I'll
triple down. It just so happens. It's also the defensive
line too, Yeah, I mean that that has been a
point of contention with this fan base more than anything else.
It really has, Right, Can you think of another position
when we're talking about the renaissance to the Detroit Lions
A window that's wide open, by the way, I'm gonna
keep saying that. Okay, there's too much talent here. But
(53:07):
what has been the biggest point of contention with this franchise.
It hasn't been the offensive line. No, okay, it had
certainly well the.
Speaker 5 (53:15):
Time, it was the secondary. But he fixed the secondary. Yes,
when he saw it going wrong, he fixed it. It's
just this particular position. I don't know.
Speaker 7 (53:23):
He signed like twenty defensive backs. I mean, we have
a ton of defensive backs. Remember the last year, he
were grabbing him like there were nothing, Like they were
cherries off.
Speaker 3 (53:32):
For freaking tree.
Speaker 6 (53:33):
I don't know, man, but when you just look at
his demeanor, when he kind of talks about the edge position,
and when the questions are brought to him, it gives
credence to what you're saying, Shank.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
It does, and it kills me.
Speaker 7 (53:43):
When I watched teams on Sunday night and Monday night
go after the quarterback. There's nothing to me that's prettier
than seeing a quarterback running for his life.
Speaker 3 (53:54):
I love it. I absolutely love it.
Speaker 4 (53:56):
I told you I I and again I apologize. I
forget which it was the other day, but I texted that.
I texted our group, not just the morning group, like
the entire like the entire staff, And I said, that
was a Hutch sack. Okay, if if if you get
a guy with more than a pulse on the other side,
he's gonna feed.
Speaker 5 (54:15):
Oh absolutely, he's good that that.
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Like, literally go back and watch that game. Three guys
three guy three went after Hutch. If I have more
than a pulse, hey, this is pretty cool, right, Wow,
there's the quarterback. Wow, I mean, exkidch you just like that,
So that I and I think that therein lies the
frustration from a lot of fans out there. And you guys,
(54:40):
hear me. Nobody's hating on this team. This is still
a team I expect to go to a super Bowl.
But these are conversations that real franchises have.
Speaker 5 (54:49):
Yeah, and it's just like your star Edge was coming
off of a major injury. Maybe there was better ways
that you could have helped facilitate his success, because, like
you say, if you get anybody else competent on the
other side, even with Davenport once he was healthy and
getting to the quarterback, it's helping Hutch. You just need
a little bit more there.
Speaker 6 (55:08):
And now with Hassanin who was gonna get playing time,
and now Davenport injured, it's once again become kind of
an issue over there.
Speaker 3 (55:15):
We got AQM though, and he's been good.
Speaker 5 (55:18):
He has been I don't know if he's a starter,
that's the only thing. I don't know if he's a
starting Now.
Speaker 7 (55:22):
Yesterday they signed a few players. They got a guy
from the Ravens that played quarterback, played wide receiver. I'm like,
what the hell are they getting this guy for and
then I realized they're getting him to act on the
scout team like Lamar Jackson. But the reason I'm saying
that is I don't see any defensive ends coming in
here at all, so I maybe we're wrong. Malik Cunningham
(55:45):
comes over, They signed another tight end, Ross Dwelly. Shane
Zilster goes on the IrH. They bring a guy up
to on the old line from the practice squad that's
gonna be active this week.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
But that was what they did on their day off yesterday.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
So at least Dan and Brad are on the same page.
They keep saying we're good.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
They keep I mean, that's what they said.
Speaker 4 (56:09):
JB just sent us and shout out again. To Detroit
Sports podcast, Dan Campbell said, when asked if he had
any concern about defensive line depth, quote, we're good. We
made some acquisitions.
Speaker 5 (56:21):
That were good.
Speaker 4 (56:24):
Already. You know, I've seen it already.
Speaker 3 (56:30):
We should not utter those words, by the way.
Speaker 4 (56:32):
Okay, So here here's the This goes back to the
conversation we were just having about the Tigers. What you
just said, is it possible that the Lions could make
a move at trade deadline of course, of course it is.
It's way I don't I don't necessarily believe it right
now because of the lack of movement the last couple
(56:53):
of years.
Speaker 5 (56:54):
You think his mouth as if they don't do anything.
Speaker 4 (56:57):
I really do, I really do, really and truly I do.
Speaker 7 (57:00):
Unless you get a couple of guys back, you gotta
lean back. You get who's our guy, the Arab prince
that we got the Egyptian magician because he would have
been good on spot duties, right, No, yeah, he would.
He would have been nice to rush the passer. I
know he had a long way to go, but if
you tell him, see that guy, go after him, it'll work.
Speaker 5 (57:25):
I said this all off season.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
If Davenport were to get hurt again, and he did,
Hasanin was gonna get a lot of No, you're just unfortunate.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
He's not gonna do that now.
Speaker 4 (57:35):
And it's it works differently when you're talking about young
players on a line where so much focus is diverted
to Hutch Like ty Leak was awesome the other night.
He really was. And I don't use that word often.
I like he was disruptive, and that's what I want
and and that's why I sit back and go well,
(57:57):
and I know that that somebody's gonna say, well a
limbs like get he's like getting a guy at the
trade deadline or anything. Wouldn't it be nice to get
another edge.
Speaker 5 (58:07):
It'd be nice because in the run game, I'm not
worried about us. We can stop the run. We got
Maller's in there, right, Roy Lopez, Tylee, DJ Reader.
Speaker 6 (58:15):
We will get a lean back. I'm not worried about
them stopping run. I'm worried about them stopping quarterbacks. And
that's where you need edge rushers.
Speaker 5 (58:21):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (58:21):
And Hutch I would like to have I would like
him to have a little more help and not see
chips in double teams and occasionally triple teams.
Speaker 7 (58:28):
And they kept Caleb in the pocket last week. Now
you got Lamar Lamar is Caleb times two times fifty.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
Escapability.
Speaker 4 (58:41):
Yeah, so I get the frustration. Like I'm not I'm
not chastising anybody out there. I'm not chastising. I told
you like and and I'm gonna say the same thing,
like I can. I can be pro Brad. I think
I can speak for everybody in this room. We're all
pro Brad.
Speaker 5 (58:59):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (59:00):
I'm very happy. He's our general man. I want him
to stay her. I hope he stayed for a long
long time.
Speaker 5 (59:05):
I want him to focus on this area right now.
Speaker 4 (59:08):
Well, for me, you know my feelings. She just went
a Super Bowl and that I'm well, yeah, of course
I am good there. For sure, I'm going to be
on like twenty four to seven benders.
Speaker 5 (59:16):
But I don't want to look back and if the
Lions missed this window, say maybe if we had just
added another edge, we could.
Speaker 4 (59:23):
Have got there that twenty twenty three feeling. That's the
exactly that twenty twenty three feeling, really and truly they
were rolling that that how much more miserable could we
have made brock Perdy's life in the second half.
Speaker 3 (59:35):
It could have been that they were the giants that year,
they were the giants England.
Speaker 5 (59:42):
That season, or that off season that they did try
to go get the Neil Hunters. So it's not I
don't feel Brad. It's just like not trying. I don't
I don't want the fan.
Speaker 4 (59:51):
Base to one hundred.
Speaker 5 (59:53):
I think he's trying, but he's very, very selective, and
maybe he's at this point become.
Speaker 4 (59:58):
Too selective some times, not all the time. Sometimes you
overvalue your own in that part sometimes. Okay, I think
there are franchises that are more guilty of it. I
think the Detroit Red Wings are guilty of it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
Guilty.
Speaker 4 (01:00:12):
I've said, get the gavel down. I think the Detroit
Red Wings in the last few years are guilty of it.
I've said it multiple times on the show. And you know,
the best laid plans, all these all these good players
that still have ceilings. Okay, I could go through the
whole list, but I think people thought most Cider, especially
(01:00:35):
after winning the Calder, would be more than he eventually is.
Lucas Raymond, especially after the way he ended two years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
I thought he'd be a fifty goal scorer.
Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
Right, Oh my gosh, he was on fire. Do you
remember the last of course of the year. He was
on fire? And right, So there's a lot of that
going on, and the maturation of some of these guys
hasn't exactly happened yet. And I'm gonna keep saying the
same thing. That doesn't mean that it can't go like
that yet, Okay, And with some guys no pun intended
(01:01:07):
waiting in the wings Asp in particular, but I think
I think the red wings are guilty of kind of
overrating their own do yet I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
I know.
Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
I felt all along. I felt all along that it
would be the kid at State. And I'm not just
saying that because the head, No, he was phenomenal. I
felt I felt all along that Augustine was the gult
under of the future. Just one man's opinion. I'm sticking
to it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
I hope you're right, man, I hope you're right.
Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
All right, Hey, JB, we're late again. Sorry, JB. Not sorry, No, JB,
don't say you should like one day you need to
janitiz me and go dude, like, come on, you're killing
you know, whatsroom though he might get the bounce, All right,
(01:02:03):
where are we going?
Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
JP?
Speaker 8 (01:02:05):
We gotta hear from black rocking and sharing's heating and cooling.
But we have a ton of super chests to clear up.
Everyone sitting them man first up d E T thirty eight,
sending in shout ninety nine, he said, should more use
that pro set with Monty and Gibbs on the field
the process defences in the box example Billy Simms and
(01:02:25):
Dexter Bussey.
Speaker 6 (01:02:26):
Man, Scott, I mean that Scott here is Johnny mo
did say alluded to that in offseason that he wants
to have a package with all of those guys out there.
Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
Oh my pints just fell off. Oh that's why I
had the lead. Yeah, shout out to my pants.
Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
Leaning over there.
Speaker 8 (01:02:41):
If we got five dollars from nobody he sends in.
He said, it's so nice to throw dirt on the
Chiefs with no say to say other.
Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
I know, right, shout of, shout off, we love right,
But he would not be going for it.
Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
He would not be going for stead of this ship
right now.
Speaker 4 (01:03:02):
And I know, listen, I know Kansas City. I've used
them as an example of relaxed calm down. They always
find a way. I'm a big eye test guy. They
don't look good, Yeah, they do not.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
They don't have a lot of they don't have a
lot of offensive talent.
Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
Yeah, I still won't count them out until it's over.
Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
I'm with you there, Yeah, Andy Reid.
Speaker 5 (01:03:23):
I could just see a late season push by the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (01:03:26):
Don't get me. I'm also the same dick that's gonna
be kicking dirt at him too. Yeah that's right, Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Yeah, yeah, take that.
Speaker 8 (01:03:33):
Patrick Mahomes turned thirty to day and they're gonna be
on three come Sunday, and once the Giants beat them, bro.
Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
Comes, come on, Russell, come dangerous, right, Giants Nation, Let's ride,
Let's ride.
Speaker 8 (01:03:50):
We got five dollars from Todd, who is new to Todd.
Shout out to Todd as well to.
Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Play for it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
Hell yeah, it is literally setting up for We joked
about it two months ago.
Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
We set up before the season, right, we really did.
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
It's reality that the Bengals are going Bengals. That there's
no way in hell that Trey Hendrickson can possibly believe
that the Bengals are interested in signing him in a
long term. He just went he doesn't want to be
He just went through that. So is it possible that
he could He could go to the Hey, you know what,
I'm I'm gonna I'm just gonna I'm gonna go to Philly.
(01:04:31):
I'm gonna go to Philly. How he's a witch, he'll
somehow fit it in. I know I'm not signing here
when the when the season's over, but I'm gonna go
to Philly and go chase a ring. Would Detroit be
in that kind of thing? Now again, you guys, Brad
would have to get very creative. But let's not forget
he also has a little war chest and he's.
Speaker 6 (01:04:51):
Dealing with as well, and I think it's setting up perfect.
The best thing that could have happened in terms of
this situation is Trey Hendrickson getting the rest of the
year guaranteed on on his contract. So now it's not
so much of a money issue. It's just okay, you
bring him in. You know he's gonna be going at
the end of the season. Let's waste some draft capital,
bring him in and chase the super Bowl.
Speaker 7 (01:05:13):
Fuck it's they're gonna hold him for ransom Thouble just
know that, of course, fuck them picks.
Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
Yep, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (01:05:20):
We against ransom? Can they hold Joe Burrow's hurt? You're
not going to the playoffs? You guys gotta take the
second round pick.
Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
We we we graduated. I don't give a shit about
giving up picks in the high twenties and thirties. It
means nothing to me. Yeah, it means nothing, But.
Speaker 6 (01:05:35):
I think you could even get him for under a
first round pick at this point. If y'all wanted the
first round pick, you should have trade him in.
Speaker 5 (01:05:41):
During training, one hundred people was wilding out.
Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
Now's you're in the season now, like I feel like
that price coming down?
Speaker 4 (01:05:47):
What I would I do it to since the possibility
of him coming here, You bet your asset would.
Speaker 5 (01:05:52):
And I give a second and the third. Let's let's
make it happen.
Speaker 4 (01:05:55):
Yeah, I give you two in the three.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
Let's let's right.
Speaker 8 (01:05:57):
I mean, I'm down for as well nation. Let's shout
out to burn sitting in two. He sends first five dollars,
saying some context from last Ravens game golf through fifty
three times Give scored his first touchdown that day. Cam's
son Julia oc occor Will Harris were our cornerbacks and
also two dollars. He sends the following that up, David
(01:06:20):
Montgomery was.
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Out last time.
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
But I think we're gonna score points something like the
previous game. I just I worry about what they do.
I'm worried about that pass rush.
Speaker 6 (01:06:29):
I'm not gonna lie like you cannot allow Lamar he
can single handedly beat you with his leg.
Speaker 4 (01:06:34):
Yep, they they they are gonna get after us. I
mean they have right now, Like statistically they are. They
are one of the teams that are getting in after
it as good as anybody. Great defense, yep.
Speaker 5 (01:06:46):
Vulnerable, but really good defense.
Speaker 8 (01:06:49):
We got two dollars from Crayon's for breakfast shut out,
He says. Quick reminder f.
Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
Mac, Patricia and Quinn, Tricia and anybody that level.
Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
What a perfect place Patricia.
Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
Listen? Did I KG. I don't know if I've ever
said this to you. Like I sat down with Quinn
one time and like like literally had like a fifteen
minute conversation with him. I thought he was the smartest
man that ever lived. Really, I completely got duped. Oh
completely got dupe. He does.
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
He has the smart nerd look about him.
Speaker 4 (01:07:27):
Just the things that he said just made sense. Yeah,
And I look back and it was it was that
little child who wanted to believe in Santa Claus. Yeah,
that's really that was like that, That's what it was.
Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
I was tell me more that regime's biggest mistake was
trying to immolate the patriots, like this ain't the Patriot
way in Detroit.
Speaker 4 (01:07:45):
I thought, well, you could write a book about.
Speaker 6 (01:07:48):
That, because even when Patricia came over, he's changing the
way they practice and stuff like that. He's he's kind
of authoritarian, like, bro, that shit don't work over here.
Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
I thought the funniest thing was the last year. Here
are two eyes that were literally like Siamese twins. They
were they were conjoined at the hip like no, no joke.
And and for the bet, they lived across the street
from one another. They literally lived right across not I
think I told you guy, Yeah too far from me? Okay,
Like I could walk through the woods and oh there's
(01:08:18):
there's Quinn's house, there's Patricia's house.
Speaker 5 (01:08:19):
That's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
And then that last year, that last year they went
into survival mode. They didn't even know each other, Like seriously,
they didn't even know each other because one was trying
to save his own ass, the other was trying to
save his own ass, and the other was was was
kind of blaming it on that guy while the other
was blaming it on that guy, and you had to
(01:08:40):
get rid of both of them. Obviously, you got that
was really funny. Two guys that were conjoined at the
hiss BFFs. All of a sudden, I don't know that dude, right,
I don't know him. What are you talking about?
Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
We got four?
Speaker 8 (01:08:57):
Ryan's reaction, He sends in, say, kg, I think is
a generational difference between these new kids and n CDC's britt.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
I think so too.
Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
He's an old relic, as we as we like to
call it.
Speaker 8 (01:09:10):
So five dollars from burn again, he sends in, he said,
who was that GM? Who was the GM that traded
sweat and chase some guy named Martin?
Speaker 1 (01:09:23):
The hell?
Speaker 3 (01:09:25):
Yeah, what happened sounds familiar?
Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
What happened?
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
What do you mean Sue's leaving?
Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
How do you not have a back?
Speaker 4 (01:09:35):
Does anybody have any ideas? Anybody? That's a real story.
I'm not like that is not that is not an exaggeration.
A Sunday morning meeting. I walk in and go, so
U JB, maz O, KG, guys got any ideas?
Speaker 16 (01:09:52):
Sure?
Speaker 5 (01:09:53):
No, huh, it's your job?
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
What like?
Speaker 4 (01:09:56):
What damn gosh?
Speaker 8 (01:09:59):
I believe we got four ninety nine from shot to
one six shot And he says he was never coming back.
Packers and Vikings fan warned us about that, MFL.
Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 5 (01:10:14):
Hey, there's two to tango now. He and Brad told
you the whole off season. It takes two to make
this deal.
Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
I I think he wanted to come back. I don't
think there's any doubt in my mind he wanted to
come back, but I want.
Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
To come back, either for multiple years or more money.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
You got it.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
That's all you got it.
Speaker 8 (01:10:32):
We got from Tody's ingles. He sends in he said
Brad Brad tried with Z. Sol would have overpaid for Z.
Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
I do agree with that. I do agree with that.
Speaker 3 (01:10:45):
I don't care it.
Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
Will would have gave him thirteen million.
Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
For one year.
Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
There's no doubt about that. It's a small sample size.
But if he brought the impact that he brought in
that game on Sunday, it's worth it.
Speaker 6 (01:11:00):
Yeah, he proved it during his Lion's finger four sacks.
In the time that he came over. He single handily
wanted you to Thanksgiving game.
Speaker 4 (01:11:08):
I just like the idea of him and Hutch.
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
I was looking forward to that that everybody was right
because he was alone last year. He was a loon.
He's a number two. You need a number one. Batman
is bat He's a Robin no one here.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
But Sid, We're not going down that road again, aren't we.
Speaker 8 (01:11:30):
Maybe this is the answer as well to our last
super chat from Dante one five one four nine cent
and in if the Texans died, then should the Lions
go for Hunter? Because Brad wanted him in free agency.
Speaker 4 (01:11:42):
Just going after them, wouldn't that be nice?
Speaker 5 (01:11:45):
I would love that Steel Services would take.
Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
Jesus, I would Yeah, another former Viking, bring them on.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
I don't know. I have more faith in Brad looking
at the steam even saying we're really missing something on
the defensive line and doing it, although it hasn't happened yet.
I have more faith in him doing that than the
Detroit Tigers going out and seeing we're real, we're legitimately,
we're all in. Oh, I have way more things. Brad's
technically done it are he got ze last year at.
Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
A time where you need it.
Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
Yeah, So I mean I hear you.
Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
But yeah, no faith in the Tigers until further though.
Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
Nope, that's exactly it, all right, JB. Where we're going.
Speaker 8 (01:12:25):

Something we do on Wednesday once again, shout up to
Sharon's Heating and air Conditioning. We're gonna do the heat check. Okay,
who's hot? Who's not? Brought to you by our friends
at Sharon's Heating and air Conditioning. Basically, what we do
is we pick a couple things. Sometimes it can be
(01:18:20):
items more on that in a second that are freezing
cold or hot, whichever way you like it. So that's
how we roll here on Wednesdays. Once again, shout up
to Sharon's Heating and air Conditioning. Appreciate you guys, and
certainly they appreciate everybody out there. They've been in business
for forty years. KG. I'm gonna start with you, Are
you hot.
Speaker 5 (01:18:40):
Or you cold?
Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
This week?
Speaker 5 (01:18:41):
I am hot and I can tell you who else
is hot as well. Don't touch them. They sizzling right now. Heyvoys,
it is the Detroit Lions offense. Man.
Speaker 6 (01:18:50):
The Detroit Lions offense is back, and listen, I don't
care if they played the fucking school for the blind.
Fifty points on an NFL team is pretty impressive. I
don't care who the hell you playing, So, especially after
a week where they got absolutely demolished by the Packers defense,
it was good to see the Lions get out there
and put up a fifty fucking burger on a division
(01:19:12):
rival in the Chicago Bears. The Lions offense is hot
right now, running the ball, passing the ball, offensive line
looks like.
Speaker 5 (01:19:18):
They fix some of the communication issues. They are my
heat check.
Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
For this week.
Speaker 4 (01:19:23):
All right, manage, where are you going that air conditioned on?
Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
Baby?
Speaker 7 (01:19:28):
The game I watched last night after Kerry Carpenter could
have been our heat check guy. He did good for
us Enter will Vest in the tenth had nothing, gave
up a double right off the get five hits, four runs,
Tigers losing extras seven to five to the Guardians. They
(01:19:49):
are now five and a half games up with eleven
to play. The Tigers have given back about eight games
to the Guardians from July. It's down to five and
a half.
Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
Was eleven ago.
Speaker 7 (01:20:02):
Will vest putting get out Sean last night, and look,
I'm an aj Hinch guy. He's pulled the right strings
for us. He's one of the best managers in baseball.
But man, did he leave him in to die on
the vine? Come on, Tigers, Jack, I need you tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:20:19):
All right, I'm gonna go I'm gonna go hot this week.
You know what's hot? I love We mentioned it at
the end of the show yesterday. Every time I see
that red Wing jersey, honestly, it makes my heart go
a flutter, that new red Wing jersey, right, that thing
is unbelievable. And anytime I can get a chance to
(01:20:41):
see Max reaction again, watch us.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Shout that.
Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
Honest to God, that is up there. You would make
the argument I'll sit again that the Habs read and
the Hawks three best jerseys, and I won't hear any
other argument about it. I love that thing. Unfortunately, it
does not come with a few extra points to get
the Red Wings back into the playoffs. They're gonna earn
(01:21:12):
no extra points with that. But I love, love, love
that jersey. That is hot. I hate that they have
player number twenty five on there. No, it's darn McCarty
number twenty five. All right, JB. What do you got?
Oh boy? Mine is ice cold?
Speaker 8 (01:21:30):
And once again, for my fantasy team purposes, we are
have to put this man on IR. It's one mister
Joe Burrow. Even though they say he's out for three months,
I feel like it's going to be the entire season
once again. So another season that he is going to
be put on this show. It's just a sad day
because you know what, there's only one person that can
(01:21:50):
come and save him right now. So I'm praying to
since my boy all the way around some well, mister
Jameson send that to us.
Speaker 4 (01:22:10):
It is so sad religious.
Speaker 11 (01:22:15):
He is.
Speaker 5 (01:22:15):
JB did a one man. I'm proud of you. I'm
proud of you.
Speaker 7 (01:22:18):
Hey, listen, did you know the Bengals are the only
team in the NFL that do not have a cart
to take their injured players off the field.
Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
It's happened again.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Did you know that KG JB.
Speaker 7 (01:22:31):
Seriously, the Brown family will not give them a cart
to take off an injured player.
Speaker 5 (01:22:38):
I thought that was the NFL thing.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):
Joe Burrow walked off.
Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
The field.
Speaker 8 (01:22:43):
Carried off by two people.
Speaker 4 (01:22:46):
It's happened before. Unbelievable, insane. You know what we forgot
to mention yesterday and shame on us. By the way,
remember how Aaron Rodgers was back in Week one? Do
you remember that?
Speaker 5 (01:22:55):
Ah?
Speaker 4 (01:22:56):
Do you remember? I told you you remember that we
had a good run, didn't we? The Aaron Rodgers, the
Aaron Rodgers' back crowd. That was a good run?
Speaker 13 (01:23:04):
I told on it.
Speaker 4 (01:23:06):
Did you guys? See his numbers? Eighteen to thirty three,
two hundred and three yards, a touchdown, two interceptions, He
was sacked three times. He had a QBR A thirty
point seven in a rating of fifty six. Mason Mason
Rudolph had to come in and uh and and relieve
him late in the game.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Mass Well, it was the Bills, man, It was the Seahawks, Seahawks.
Speaker 5 (01:23:31):
I was told that he was going to resurrect the
page for the Steelers.
Speaker 7 (01:23:35):
So wow, that was a fall from grace. That was
his first home game, by the way, at whatever they
call it, AQ Short Stadium now in Pittsburgh, the former
Hinz Field before that.
Speaker 3 (01:23:48):
Three Rivers.
Speaker 4 (01:23:49):
I don't know what they're I don't know what to
make of the Steelers. I really that's why five right
there and with or right there, they're kind of they're
kind of in that territory. Now, Mike Tomlin's going to
do Mike Tomlin things and get him in the mix,
but they aren't going to do anything come playoff time, right, But.
Speaker 7 (01:24:08):
They signed a lot of players this year. They spent
a lot of money. He can't Mike Tomlin just can't
do that this year. He has to show that he's
taking this team to the next level. Otherwise how do
you keep him?
Speaker 5 (01:24:20):
Yeah? I think this is a hot seat year for him.
Speaker 6 (01:24:22):
Not saying that he might get fired, but his seat
is definitely going to get warmer if this shit continues.
Speaker 5 (01:24:27):
Three, but it's the organizations for three.
Speaker 4 (01:24:30):
I agree with you, KG, they should have got aggressive
at the quarterback yep.
Speaker 3 (01:24:33):
I agree, move up.
Speaker 5 (01:24:35):
I understand you picking twenty every move up, find a
way to move up.
Speaker 7 (01:24:39):
I'm sixty three that the Pittsburgh Steelers have had three
coaches in my life.
Speaker 4 (01:24:45):
Three unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (01:24:46):
That's nuts.
Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
Three. It's it's it's incredible when you think about it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:52):
It's the that's the most incredible stat in sports that
I could think of.
Speaker 4 (01:24:56):
But Chuck Nole left ninety one, yeah, power left, Howard
left six yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah because he he
won uh he won his a couple of years later.
I mean, it's it's unbelievable, it really is. It's and Tomlin,
that's all in all sports.
Speaker 7 (01:25:18):
I defy you to name someone in sixty three years
that have had three three coaches.
Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
It's impossible.
Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
Yeah, impossible.
Speaker 4 (01:25:30):
No, you can't, No, you can't, you can't. You can't.
Speaker 7 (01:25:34):
Not like that.
Speaker 6 (01:25:35):
No, once Ben Roethlisberger was on his way out the door,
you should have been way more aggressive about getting a quarterback.
Speaker 5 (01:25:42):
And Kenny Pickett, I'm sorry, that's not good.
Speaker 6 (01:25:44):
That's not good enough, bro like, and that's been the
Achilles heel of the Patriot I mean not, I keep
saying the Patriots the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
Has you think about the Red Wings, it was it
was incredible to have like only three coaches in the
span of what what was that twenty twenty three years? Yeah,
you know you you had Scottie, you had Lewis, you know,
short time, and you had Babcock. That that was you're
talking sixty years, man, that's insane, long time. I've always
(01:26:15):
had a respect for the Steelers. I like I always
I've always had a respect for the Steelers. It's just
that's that's just a well run franchise.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
They were literally.
Speaker 7 (01:26:25):
Born on December twenty third of nineteen seventy two, the
immaculate reception because they had not made the playoffs up
to that point. They were like the Lions, and from
that point on they are one of the most relevant
teams in sports.
Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
Think about it.
Speaker 4 (01:26:44):
Did you ever see a replay of that game of
the mechamillion times? But you'll never see exactly how it
happened because there weren't enough cameras.
Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
That weren't Isn't that amazing They have all these other
they spliced together. Yeah, and it looks it looked like
it's real.
Speaker 7 (01:26:58):
I'm not sure if frenchy few squad touch the ball
or not, because if he did, it's offense to offense
and that would have been illegal. Jim Tunney was the
referee that game. I'll never forget it. Uh, the radio
up to the booth. Hey, do we have security here?
Speaker 11 (01:27:12):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:27:13):
Okay? Touchdown? A touchdown? That was the whole That was
the whole wives tale. Do we have security?
Speaker 1 (01:27:20):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:27:20):
Okay, it's a touchdowns?
Speaker 4 (01:27:21):
Look that up. It really is. And I I don't
remember it that that's before my time.
Speaker 7 (01:27:26):
But I watched the I watched the skin color change
on my dad from bright we had the Raiders et
he he looked like he had no blood left after
that after that catch, Dad.
Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
Don't worry.
Speaker 7 (01:27:39):
It doesn't count. There's no way that counts. Dad, And
walks my mother with all these Christmas boxes.
Speaker 4 (01:27:45):
Hi guys, Hi mom. Remember when you guys, by the way,
remember when you guys used to care about power rankings
and things like that. Do you do you remember that?
I couldn't care less, lion.
Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
We have to keep up with it.
Speaker 4 (01:27:58):
Anyways, put this in there, and Mas, I'm not being
disrespect to your work, but this is the PFT power ranking. Yeah,
this is a pro football talk and maz This isn't
directed at you. I hope you know that. I couldn't
give two ships, my Florio Florio. I couldn't give two
ships where you got a yeah, twenty one, okay, okay,
(01:28:21):
the Bears at twenty six, the Dolphins at thirty two. Yeah,
you could just put the Saints out. You could put
the Saints at thirty two every week and feel real
good about yourself.
Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Right, legitimate there against the Niners.
Speaker 4 (01:28:36):
But there's still the Saints. There's still the Saints. They
really are.
Speaker 3 (01:28:39):
They still won a Super Bowl before us. Such a cord. Gosh, damn,
the Saints won a Super Bowl before.
Speaker 4 (01:28:47):
Us, Miami did multiple times.
Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Think about that.
Speaker 4 (01:28:49):
Oh yeah, y no, nothing jumps out to me there.
I'm not buying in on the Niners. Sorry, I'm just
not Yeah, I'm not mad, not mad though. No, I'm
not gonna I'm not gonna get worked up up over it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:03):
It's about right.
Speaker 7 (01:29:04):
Yeah, the top ten Patriots might be a little better
than twenty three. I think I would take the Patriots
over the Steelers.
Speaker 4 (01:29:14):
I still think we're better than the Packers. I really do.
Or not shout out to shout out to all my
friends in that are that are Packer fans. But I
totally understand why they're three and the Lions are nine. Yeah,
but I firmly believe we're better and we'll finish better
and we'll beat him on. Thanks you, Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:29:31):
I had a very bad week and chase that with
a exceptional week, So we gotta find them middle.
Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
Round, all right? Can I throw this out there, though,
Why give me a reason why the Kansas City Chiefs
are at number ten? And give me a reason that
is strictly based in twenty twenty five and not anything
other than twenty twenty five.
Speaker 6 (01:29:50):
Their offense. I mean, you had Xavier Worthy die on
the field, were she Rice? He has away eight game suspension,
still six weeks to go on that. The offense is
just not the same.
Speaker 4 (01:30:01):
Why are they number ten? I don't get it. Well,
now again, you're gonna bring up something that happened before
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
But they hung with the Eagles.
Speaker 7 (01:30:09):
Yeah, I know the score wasn't indicative of the game,
but it turned on the Kelcey drop. Yeah, they lost
by one score.
Speaker 4 (01:30:17):
I don't know. I mean, you look at it, and
in fairness, I guess to the Chiefs if I'm gonna
look at it that way. Their losses this year were
to the number one team and the number five team. Yeah,
they just haven't looked good.
Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
You see that number five team. They're better than that.
Speaker 5 (01:30:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:30:35):
Do you think at this point like the Broncos are
better than the Chiefs? I'm looking at the teams under them.
Do you think the Niners are better than the Chiefs?
Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
No?
Speaker 5 (01:30:42):
No, Broncos.
Speaker 4 (01:30:44):
I still you know, you know, based on twenty twenty five,
I would put the Colts ahead of the Chiefs right now.
Speaker 18 (01:30:51):
Oh, Indiana Joes, based on based on again, based on
twenty twenty five, Joe, they punted, Man, they haven't they
haven't punted.
Speaker 3 (01:31:02):
I'm watching them this WEEKND.
Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
Do I think they're an absolute fraud who will be
smack dab in the middle of the the and with
or conversation in December? Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
I do beat them with Sunday.
Speaker 4 (01:31:14):
But based on twenty twenty five, like the Colts have
been better than the Chiefs. I mean that. I don't
know how NNY can debate that.
Speaker 17 (01:31:22):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
Good things though, so much of that, so much is
based on what have you done your history?
Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
Yeah, it really is.
Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
It's it's based on your.
Speaker 5 (01:31:32):
History text that should probably be lower.
Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
Two.
Speaker 4 (01:31:35):
Hey, listen, what the hell has happened at the Tech
based on what I've seen out a Washington? Why the
hell are they at eight?
Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
Yeah, they're still trying to do the point Daniels, you
know narrative.
Speaker 7 (01:31:44):
They still trying to Daniels could be out for at
least this week. Sprain me a lot of other injuries
I want to get to. There's some injuries that I can't.
Speaker 4 (01:31:53):
Buy into the Chargers. I can't really, and I have
all the respect in the world for It's hard for me,
I really do. It's starts with their quarterback. I'm sorry, bro,
it does he is?
Speaker 3 (01:32:03):
He is there now? Man?
Speaker 4 (01:32:06):
Isait t wait till crunch time? That guy always comes
up big in crunch time.
Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
You watch this time, you watched this time.
Speaker 5 (01:32:15):
I just I'm hoping to be wrong on that, but
I gotta see you first.
Speaker 7 (01:32:18):
Yeah, I'm just I wasn't until he's been he's been harped.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
He's been harped. This is the second year on the harball.
Speaker 5 (01:32:27):
He's been hard. He's been hardly means they gonna run
the ball.
Speaker 4 (01:32:30):
A lot exact? Is he handing the ball off? That
is that what's happening.
Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
That's what I was sting. He's got great touch on
his passes right now, that's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker 4 (01:32:38):
All Right, we're up against it, JB. I'm gonna try
on track. Okay, where do you want to go here?
Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
JB.
Speaker 2 (01:32:48):
Let's see.
Speaker 8 (01:32:49):
We gotta do the massage, sure house, and then fantasy jerks.
But first, let me clear up some super chests from
everyone sending them. Man, shout out to everyone once again.
We got five.
Speaker 5 (01:32:58):
Dollars from burn.
Speaker 8 (01:33:00):
He sends in. He says, you know what, Sean, you
keep believing Z wanted to come back.
Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
And you know what, Santa Claus, that's true.
Speaker 8 (01:33:10):
Williams, he did what was his last part of that?
I'm sorry joking aside, Brad did the same with Jamal Williams.
And you know what, Santa Claus is real.
Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
Yeah, he is real. I'm not gonna deny that. I'm
one of those guys. I'm not gonna lie to you
every now and again. And I did it yesterday and
I took a picture of it because my son's the
only one who agrees with me, like my wife and
daughter like what's wrong with you?
Speaker 5 (01:33:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:33:34):
I was just in the mood to listen to some
Christmas music.
Speaker 5 (01:33:38):
Bastard and I took.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
A picture and they were like, what's wrong with you?
It's like eighty three degrees? And I was like, I
believe in Santa Claus.
Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (01:33:47):
I believe in fat white Man too, a lot of
fun fat white man, Fat white Man. I also I
also believe in black Santa Claus. As you know, you
and Terry got me. You and Terry got decades. Yeah,
Brad Banta, what all right? Go ahead?
Speaker 8 (01:34:06):
And we got one more from uh Dante won five
one who sends in four ninety nine, who's hot in
my eyes? As Baker Mayfield, Who's cold in my eyes?
The Cleveland Browns in two games they have an average
of sixteen and a half point free shador.
Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
You know they should have they should have gotten a
guy like Baker Browns.
Speaker 4 (01:34:24):
Dante. You know what, dude, I'm serious. You want to
talk about a guy that didn't about face with me.
I thought he was one of the biggest douches in
the world. I thought he was Johnny Football Part two
not that long ago. Yeah, And and last year I
just watched that guy, the savvy, the moxie. I remember
talking with Neil before Game two last year, and and
(01:34:47):
and saying, man, are we all making a mistake of
looking past Baker and Tampa?
Speaker 1 (01:34:52):
Now?
Speaker 4 (01:34:53):
In fairness, I thought the Lions would win, But legitimately
that was like the tone that's for you, KG than you.
That was the tone of our pregame show. This is
a pretty good Tampa team. And let's make sure that
we take care of the business. Because Baker is a
guy that finds a way to make plays no hip
of the captain. Baker man plays the game the right way.
(01:35:13):
He brings a hard hat in all the cliches man,
no doubt about it.
Speaker 8 (01:35:19):
That's it for super chest kJ. Let's hear from the
Massage Chair House.
Speaker 5 (01:35:23):
Let's tell him about the Massage Chairhouse.
Speaker 6 (01:35:25):

Please drink responsible, please, all Right, The NFL Week starts
again tomorrow. Isn't that great about the NFL? It really
truly does. And remember when the Dolphins and Bills was
can't miss television not that long ago. Do you remember
that they played wacky games every single and I mean,
(01:39:42):
mind you, the Bills always found a way to win,
but they played crazy games they did, and now the
Dolphins are dead. I just need another McDaniel press conference.
Speaker 3 (01:39:52):
I do you know what this game smells? This game
smells to me, Oh boy, Oh, here we go.
Speaker 4 (01:39:58):
What's what's the line? What's a number? You know?
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:40:02):
Let's find out what the line is. I'm gonna get right,
let's just guess now. I mean, I have not watched
I have not seen a line. And the Dolphins is
so bad.
Speaker 5 (01:40:10):
It's at seven and a half, man easy, seven and
a half.
Speaker 3 (01:40:13):
I'm gonna I'm gonna say it's like less than that
four four and a half. I'm gonna say based on
based on it smells.
Speaker 4 (01:40:22):
Okay, did you guys find it yet?
Speaker 5 (01:40:24):
No, I'm looking on Caesar Sports right now for you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:40:28):
If you want this, it's gotta be double digits. I'm serious.
It's close twelve.
Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
Oh it is, well, so I guess maybe it doesn't smell.
Speaker 5 (01:40:39):
No, it does smell. No, never trust a big spread
in the NFL period. I don't care what. I don't
care how bad it's.
Speaker 3 (01:40:45):
Do you know what?
Speaker 4 (01:40:46):
Do you know what's funny? Like I don't know if
you remember like our pick on Sunday. We had to
do the show, you know, obviously at second best. But
I I told Neil, I went against that theory and
I took the Ravens against the Browns. I said, there
ain't no way in hell the raven aren't gonna shit
kick the Browns.
Speaker 5 (01:41:01):
Yea.
Speaker 4 (01:41:02):
Not after what happened last week against Buffalo. That was
I I would have given twelve away gleefully yea, even
with Miami being a disaster. I don't know if I'd
give away twelve in this one.
Speaker 8 (01:41:12):
You might be hono on them because it is basically
even money across the boards. If you take them as underdogs,
or if you take.
Speaker 4 (01:41:19):
The Bills, could you do it? Could you do it?
Speaker 7 (01:41:23):
I could not take Miami even Yeah, but I believe
they're gonna would you take the twelve?
Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
I would take it.
Speaker 4 (01:41:29):
I'm doing I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
I would take it.
Speaker 4 (01:41:31):
They they have historically, like if you go back and
look at the last few years, that has been one
of the you know how every now and again there's
that spell like the Ravens and Steelers for years was
can't miss television. It was just can't miss television. Oh,
the Ravens and Steelers are playing again. The Bills and
Dolphins kind of for a while, there had some crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:41:51):
Games, all high scoring events.
Speaker 4 (01:41:53):
Yeah, just crazy games. So yeah, I can't know.
Speaker 5 (01:41:57):
Yeah, they're trying to get money back the other way.
Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
I wish, you know.
Speaker 7 (01:42:00):
The Sunday night game and and this Thursday night game
was better. We did better last week this week that
we got two dogs. We got Kansas City and the
Giants on Sunday. That's first of all, I despise a
f C versus NFC.
Speaker 3 (01:42:14):
I hate it. I only want to see it once
in the super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (01:42:18):
I do not.
Speaker 3 (01:42:19):
I hate it. I like my NFC. Leave me the
hell alone. I don't want to play the a f C.
I don't like the a f C. I never did.
It bores me. The a f C bores the living
daylightside of me.
Speaker 4 (01:42:32):
It does. I don't know what it is.
Speaker 7 (01:42:35):
I just I'm an NFC junkie, junkie really so even
even like some of the fun teams.
Speaker 4 (01:42:44):
And then no, no it for me, because I told
you I never liked the Dolphins. I used to love
watching Dan Marino like I like he.
Speaker 7 (01:42:52):
Just because the Jets had a chance to get oh yeah, yeah,
and oh, he smokes pot. Let's take Ken O'Brien instead O'Brien.
Speaker 3 (01:43:02):
Who was good but not good.
Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
We ye, Marina, what's a Monday night game?
Speaker 3 (01:43:12):
Just and just loud yeah, us, Yeah, it's almost like
that's to me, that's the game of the week.
Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
It's absolutely it's almost like I'm having a barbecue that
night or something.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
Good for you.
Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
Man, I'm having a little barbecue that night.
Speaker 3 (01:43:28):
Hey, I got some.
Speaker 4 (01:43:33):
That's my because I mean, you know, after Lions game.
I mean, seriously, I don't know if it's I don't
go to bed, Like seriously, do you remember the Chiefs game.
I was doing the morning show at the time, and
it was like, do I go to bed for two
hours or I just stayed. I pulled the all night
as well, because sometimes when you take the two hour nap,
(01:43:53):
you feel worse, you know, yeah, because you don't get enough.
Speaker 7 (01:43:57):
Hey, Ed could tell us on the on the chat
as I do not understand your takes. Listen, that's not
a take. I just don't like the AFC. I'm an
NFC guy. I'm an America League guy in baseball, and
I'm an NFC guy and in football. That's just my
what I like East or Western bat. I don't want
(01:44:18):
to see AL versus NL. I have no interest in
AL versus NL. To the World Series.
Speaker 4 (01:44:23):
We may as well. I'm not going to go as
far as you and say I don't like the AFC.
I'm not gonna go that far. But but weren't we
like when I was a kid, you grew up around here,
Channel two, CBS at the time was the NFC. Yes, NBC,
CBS at the time or CBS now was the AFC.
(01:44:44):
Craft I always watch the NFC.
Speaker 3 (01:44:46):
Now they mix it up because the Lions were in
the that's my league.
Speaker 4 (01:44:51):
It's almost like the American League, right, I mean when
I was a kid, I would get furious when the
National League beat the American League. I couldn't get it
too shit. Now okay, but why because the Tigers.
Speaker 7 (01:45:03):
Tigers were in the American I got the Yankees and
the Mets. I got two leagues. But I am so
pro American League.
Speaker 3 (01:45:11):
I can't. I can't help it.
Speaker 4 (01:45:12):
Don't you like some of the Oh my god, I
don't know Man's there's something like you know that mid
October game where you get and I don't know the
schedule ahead of time, you get Philly playing let's say,
Baltimore on a Monday night. That's a pants off game
(01:45:35):
to me. Like, that's okay. The team right now, the
defending Super Bowl champion lead the pack against you know,
quite possibly the Fame or Philly Buffalo on a Monday night.
That's just are you kidding?
Speaker 7 (01:45:47):
That sounds good? That sounds pretty good. That's pretty good,
all right, all right, But don't give me like Washington
against the.
Speaker 3 (01:45:56):
Buffalo. I don't know, Washington against Miami.
Speaker 5 (01:45:59):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
There's just so much bad teams to me in the AFC.
Speaker 5 (01:46:04):
I just don't like it.
Speaker 3 (01:46:05):
I'm sorry, I'm not making sense, but to me, it
makes sense.
Speaker 20 (01:46:09):
It makes sense to make that's right, that's right to me.
Come on, put that little picture of me still, I
still watch freaking back on your head. Jake, It's okay,
I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 11 (01:46:22):
I know.
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
You don't have to be sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:46:24):
You don't have to be sorry. You don't like it,
you don't like it.
Speaker 5 (01:46:29):
They can't tell you how to be.
Speaker 3 (01:46:30):

Speaker 4 (01:52:10):
I shouldn't show you mercy, Viking fan, but I'm still
gonna show you mercy. I mean, I'm out for justice.
I'm all about justice, but I'm I'm sometimes sometimes you
need some leniency. I'm a firm believer in second chances.
Speaker 3 (01:52:28):
Hey, give him a break, man. We don't want to
make fun of injury. We don't want to make fun
of him.

A couple of.
Speaker 7 (01:52:44):
Drafts ago, we were all after this kid from pitt
Elijah Cansy, and he turned out to be a hell
of a player. He is out for the year with
the Buccaneers on a pectoral tear. Damn Elijah Cancey.
Speaker 4 (01:53:00):
That is one of the most disgusting things I've ever
seen in my life.
Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
Then Chris Feeling play a whole season with that.
Speaker 5 (01:53:05):
Yes, yeah, and I'm not joking.

Do you ever see Alien? Remember Alien? It looked like
there was an alien up on his pack. It rolls,
it rolls up. It's so gross, it really is.

Speaker 3 (01:53:35):

People that do that ship man get like, come on,

I just don't understand why these old guys just can't
take a break. But Tom Brady is introducing the Fanatics
flag football clastic. I guess coming soon. I don't understand
this at all. This format as it is seventy yards long,
uh ten ten yards and end zones twenty five yards
(01:54:40):
white end zone, as well to five on five formats
to twenty minute halves. Serious, serious, Maybe it's so serious
the running clock. Except in the last two minutes of
each half, offense has four downs to reach midfield from
their own five yard line. So far as three teams
(01:55:01):
eight players per team. This includes your quarterback, your running backs, receivers,
and the defense, both current and recent retired legends, plus
a few of your favorite celebrities as well to in.
Speaker 5 (01:55:12):
Some YouTube streamers. So, okay, I won't be watching catching
the pass and getting fucking drew.
Speaker 3 (01:55:19):
Okay, I guess.
Speaker 5 (01:55:20):
And Kevin Hard is your host, of course he is.
Speaker 4 (01:55:22):
So I'll tap in. I'm telling you right now, tap in.
I'm I'm really not that interested in it, but I'm
gonna tap in.

It's a spectacle.
Speaker 4 (01:55:31):
Yeah, I will. I promise they will.
Speaker 5 (01:55:34):
No, I'll get the review from you.
Speaker 4 (01:55:37):
Yeah, I know, I know. I'll watch it. I know
I will.
Speaker 8 (01:55:40):
So no one's a fan of this, huh.
Speaker 5 (01:55:41):
I mean, I don't hate it, It's just it's not
gonna capture my attention.
Speaker 3 (01:55:45):
I already watched the Giants and Cowboys. It was on
last night, by the.
Speaker 4 (01:55:50):
Way, as I told you, was gosh, damon. I wanted
to watch it, but I was watching a bad baseball
team instead. Let's hit the record, Yeah, I should have
damn it, hit the record. I'll watch it. I don't, like,
I don't have a lot of high expectations, but I'll
watch it.
Speaker 8 (01:56:06):
I'm with you, like, I don't have a ton of
high expectations, but it seems interesting. I mean, it's kind
of just looks like a money grabbing for something for
these either retiring or non active football players that kind
of hop back into the game and just be like, hey,
you know what we can Still, I don't.
Speaker 6 (01:56:22):
Want to say it's Big three for football, because Big
three is a little more competitive. S No, it's actually
competitive in Big three. This is like maybe one tier
below that.

say that today on September seventeenth.
Speaker 7 (01:56:35):

think differently, right, Nah?

No, No, because they got current and old players and
a mix of streamers as well.
Speaker 4 (01:56:50):
That shows me, well, well, if yeah, if you gim
me you do the streamer stuff, I might click right
away like pros.
Speaker 5 (01:56:56):
Versus Joes, But there's flag, they're not gonna get it.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:56:59):
That was fucking It was great because they were actually
getting when those guys were getting lit up. We all
know dudes like I know a guy I swear to god,
I'm not making this up. I know a guy that
was convinced until he was thirty five he could go
play wide receiver in the National Football still got it
in convinced. Okay, now now listen. The backstory is he
(01:57:20):
didn't even play high school football.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
Yeah, so it.
Speaker 4 (01:57:25):
Became then it became like a running bit where like
we just let him go with it, like, damn, I
think you could, man, there's no doubt my mind. Could
I think you're incredible? Act think you could? Yeah, just insanity, dude.
Speaker 5 (01:57:40):
You should have got him on the show man.
Speaker 4 (01:57:42):
He didn't even play high school football. Like, I'm not
shitting up.

Speaker 5 (01:58:34):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (01:58:34):
That would probably be good on if if I made
like an old fashioned BLT like like, because there's so
many different flavors in there, and I have to have
like like for me, I have to have real mail.
If I'm making like a yeah, but the Red Hot,

insurance package.
