Speaker 5 (03:28):
I'm a big fan of remember when.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
I love remember when, And usually when you hear me
say remember when I'm about to say something sarcastic or swarmy.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
So if you haven't picked up on that yet, there's
your warning.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Guys. Remember one a week ago we were talking about
how it was actually a good thing that the Lines
were playing on Monday.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
And maybe, just maybe.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
The Tigers would get full control, not full control during
Lives Lion seasons, but a pretty good amount of the
news cycle, especially if they clinched it home on Sunday.
Do you remember, Do you remember? That's a good time?
(04:21):
I remember, Yeah, yeah, I don't even know what to say.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
I'm not being funny.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
So defeated, you ain't all right?
Speaker 5 (04:34):
So here here's what Here's what I would respond to that.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
JB, my kid and I were having h the discussion
last night after we shared a thousand yard stairs.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
What do we have to be positive about heading.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Into a series at Cleveland after what Cleveland's done to
us all year? And what do we have to be
positive about going to Boston straight after that? Yeah? I
mean that's where we're at right now.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Hey, God must take away from that.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
That's where I mean. Really, so I know we're gonna
play this game, and let's see, do you remember what
happened last year? And okay all of it? Okay? Yes, yes, yes?
And and what what AJ said is true. Well if
you told me at the beginning of the year that
we'd have one game lead and we're going to Cleveland, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, okay.
(05:37):
It it isn't one thing, it's everything it It really
truly is.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
And like, who do you blame?
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Is this?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I know who Neil's gonna blame.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
You point a finger here, you point a finger there?
Do we dare point the finger at that guy? See
him behind me? Do we dare point the finger at
that guy? He's kind of been the untouchable, hasn't he?
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah? Because you want to believe that he's doing the
best that he can with the ingredients that he has.
It's kind of like an Aaron Glynn situation. You remember him,
you remember familiar with his work. Yeah, you remember how
long it took him to get the defense together. So
I'm just saying, I don't if anybody deserves a small
share of the blame, it's probably a j hanch.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
I'm gonna go back to Scott Harris, and what I
found over the weekend is the people that defend Scott
Harris defend him adamantly. I mean adamantly.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Reminds you of another GM that used to be the lead.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Do you know what, KG, Honest to god, you just
scared the ship out of me because you went. In
my mind, you did you went. It reminds me there
were two things that the al thing, whether people want
to admit it or not, is absolutely inconsequential. Okay. And
the best thing about Twitter is you can you can
(07:08):
find receipts very easily. Okay, you can all right, The
defense of Brad Osmis until the very end was absurd, ye,
And that's one of those Nobody will admit it. Nobody,
You'll admit it. You know, I always show KG no
offense intended. It is amazing to me. You cannot find
(07:30):
a single single Michigan fan that said they were all
in for Brady Hoak. Oh no, you can't find one,
not one. It is I mean, it is absolutely amazing.
The brad Osmis thing was really bad. The al Avila thing,
I honest to god, I felt like I felt like I.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Was living in in like bizarro world.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
And they would get so mad at you, would you
when you would say, look what he gave up when
we got in return? But it was always and this
is the term that I use, and this is what
was pissing off the Scott Harris fans. Okay, kicking the
can down the road. This is what this franchise has
done for a decade. No no, no, no, no no
no no stop stop stop, don't pay attention. Don't pay
(08:14):
attention to what's going on right now. Nope, nope, nope,
don't do it. Don't do it, okay, because we've got
fill in the blank prospects that are gonna change everything.
The whole trajectory of this franchise is going to change.
And it's funny because the Scott Harris people, and I
(08:35):
was going back and forth with people. I was trying
to be really civil. You know. It's it's tough to
be civil sometimes with people that don't want to be
civil in return. But I tried really hard and I
think I did a good job. But the Scott Harris people, oh, well,
what does he have to do with this? And do
you know what it reminds me of. It reminds me
of all the lions that would come in here from
other places and they would get mad at you, KG,
(08:58):
and they would get mad at JB. And they they
would get mad at me because guess what, You're now
part of the machine. The second that you become a
Tiger and some of this adversity happens, guess what, You're
part of the machine now.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
I'm gonna give This is what I'm gonna tell you.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I don't know if mcconagal and Clark are truly going
to change the trajectory of this franchise. I don't know.
I really don't. I'm not gonna sit here and say
both of them are gonna be bums. At the same time,
I'm not gonna sit here and say that both of
them are gonna be great. Do you know what I know?
Definitively beyond the shadow of a doubt. How many names
(09:39):
do you want me to give you? How many do
you want me to start with? Lugo? Do you want
me to go to Alex Faaedo? Do you want me
to go to Matt Manning? Do you want me to
go to Jake Rogers? We could be here all fricking day. Yeah,
so pardon me, pardon me if I don't sit and go, Hey,
(10:00):
this hasn't really worked out so well for this franchise.
And oh, by the way, can I add again the
good news is we have too surely no really this
time kage too surely can't miss prospects waiting in the wings.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Okay, yeah, I mean that's.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
A good news, right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
The bad news we want to believe the.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Bad news is just in type for the best picture
of the world of Leaf.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah, I know, right, That's that's really the hang up,
because I do have a believe in these version of
the prospects. And you know, I definitely get your point
that the Tigers have done this for years upon years
upon years, and I think it even stretches beyond a decade.
We always get sold, hope, and we always get sold, okay,
these prospects. And there was a time in which we
(10:46):
didn't have to worry about that, and that was in
the early twenty tens when Mike Illige decided he wanted
to spend money on this team and we had one
of the best rosters in baseball for more than a
few years and they never could capitalize on it. But
at least I can go to bed at night knowing, Okay,
mister I, while he was alive, he tried to put
the best team out there. They just didn't get it
done when it mattered the most. But I mean with
(11:10):
the last two iterations of the managers, they're very focused
on building this thing through the youth. And you know,
the free agent and trade acquisitions have not been that great.
But the one common denominator through all of that has
been mister I's son, and you know him Will Little Chris.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
That's what do you want people to say?
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Man?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
I mean, it's hard not to hop back in him
every time.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Hey, KG, how many times you want to change the narrative.
Don't talk about changing the narrative.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Change in narative?
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Yeah, and you talk about it.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
You guys are the ones that went out there, when
pressed by the media and said, Okay, when the time
is right, we will spend. And you know, now, I
just questioned, did they ever think that the time was right?
Because I understand last year was kind of a miracle run.
You couldn't really duplicate that this year, and to the
Tiger's credit, through a lot this year, or through at
least half of it, it seems like the younger players
(12:04):
had taken a step up, and you can say, Okay,
this team is better than what they were a year ago,
But I mean, when you look back at it, it
just kind of seems like they either didn't believe from
the jump or they lie to us.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Well, and there's a couple of things that come into play.
Let's not forget that we also had a general manager
in this town who there was so much slander thrown
at him during the Alavila era. In particular, it bothered
the shit out of me in Dave Dombrowski that looked
a lot and looked at a lot of these can't
miss prospects and sold them while they were high. For
(12:40):
knowns that came here and for everyone that you can
sit back and say, man, I wish we could do
that one over right, I'll give you five yeah that
I'm so happy that we got rid of Humberto Sanchez
or Cameron Mabon or Charlie Furbush or Casper Wells or
(13:00):
Jacob Trup.
Speaker 7 (13:01):
We can't trade Jacob Turner, right, he's the next JV
or Rob Brantley, who might be patient zero for Catcher
of the Future.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Remember that game that we played, the Catcher of the
Future game for a good decade plus. Okay, So and KG,
I'm glad that you brought I'm not even sitting back
and saying that there was a move that we could
have made it the deadline that would have put this
team on top. I'm not even saying that what I
have liked to have. You know, all right, we needed
(13:33):
a bet. We all needed a bet, right or Suarez. Sure,
I would have liked it, but I understand, I understand it.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
I'm not.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Right, and I'm not I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
crap on them for not making that deal. Do you
know what I think is fair to ask, don't make
deals that hurt your team. I think that's very fair
to ask. Charlie Morton and Pattick hurt this team period.
Did not make the team better, Okay, did not make
(14:02):
the team better as good as Finnegan it has been.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Okay, And let's write.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Finnegan was lights out better than any of us could
have imagined. All right, Let's not also forget that his
innings were limited and he got hurt. Now, is that
Scott Harris's fault? No, okay, but limited innings versus what
Charlie Morton and Paddock brought to the team. You guys,
I don't care if you're Scott Harris's brother. I don't
(14:31):
care if you're Scott Harris's mother. There is no living,
breathing organism that can sit here and tell me he
made the Tigers a better team at the trade deadline.
Speaker 5 (14:41):
He made them worse.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Period.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
You got your confirmation too over the weekend. Charlie Morton
DFA not even on the team anymore. And that was,
besides Finnegain, probably one of the bigger names of this
trade deadline in which you brought in about seven or
eight guys.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Again, you, hey, listen, you guys, I like to speak
in fact, Okay, I do anybody want to deny that
anybody want to deny that Charlie Morton and Chris Paddock
made this team worse.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
It's hard to deny it now for sure.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
I don't know what the future holds all these people.
He's got the magic power. Remember I was told Alavila
does too. But he's got the magic power to look
at talent and develop talent. He knows how, he knows. Okay,
so I'm not going to sit here and say that
these guys are gonna fail. What I am gonna say is,
(15:35):
aren't you tired of kicking the can down the road?
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I've been tired of that, Shaun.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
And people KG, JP, people get mad, Yeah, people get people.
People were furious at me, you dastardly guys in the media. No, no,
this isn't me going media. This is me going fan.
And most important, I'm gonna tell you this much going
dad right, I'm the dad of a Tiger loving Madiac.
(16:02):
Mike kid loves the Tigers. My kid wants to see
a championship. KG wants to see a championship. JB wants
to see a champion. A vast majority of you have
never seen it, and you're stuck seeing nineteen eighty four
after nineteen eighty four reunion. Okay, I don't want to
think about just wait. We've been waiting a long long time.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
And it'd be different. Like I've always said all along,
especially over these last couple of years i've been at
the network, It's like the Tigers don't even need to
spend the most money. You don't need to have a
Dodger payroll. You don't need to, you know, have a
Mets payroll, and I will love that, but you don't
need that. But when you go out and okay, the
Alex Bregman deal doesn't get done, But at least I
(16:47):
can appreciate the attempt, whether you low Baldim or not,
or whether you met him on what he wanted or not,
at least the attempt was made. I can respect that.
But when you go and put fifteen million dollars on
Alex Cobb, who ended up retiring before he ever saw
a blade of grass for this Tigers team, That's where
I'm kind of like, all right, bro, like what is
(17:07):
going on here? And I do want to believe in
Scott Harris. I think he's better than Alavila, but I
don't know how good he really is because at the
end of the day, I just feel like there are
factors working against him, just like it was factors working
against a Villa, just like it was factors working against
the previous general manager. Like I just I don't know, man,
(17:30):
I really wonder like if they let the handcuffs off
of some of these people in charge, what would these
teams actually look.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
It's a great question, and I don't know, just like
I don't know the future.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Do you know what I know? This is what I know.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
I think two of the three trade deadlines were an
absolute fail on Scott Harris watch.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
That's what I know.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
I know that two of the three trade deadlines were
a fail. Yeah, twenty twenty four was a big win.
I mean what we got in return last year and
then the team caught fire and made the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Technically, you can say that's a fail because look at
Trey Sweeney out well.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Yeah, but you know what I'm saying. But you know,
two years ago you had a guy that you had
him at his peak, and look what happened to him
the last two years ago, and you.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
Couldn't work out You couldn't work.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
Out that trade and for reasons that we still are
not completely clear.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
On.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
They all thought that there was a trade in place
until he decided at the last minute to invoke his
no trade clause. Now what happened, I don't know, okay,
But at the end of the day, all right, that's
on you. Yeah, that's on you, and this trade deadline
as well. So you're right, KG, I don't know how
(18:48):
much behind the scenes is well, there are things that
he wants to do that he can't do, so I
can't talk about that, Okay. What I can talk about
is what he's done, right, And Chris, I'm not saying
fire him. I'm not saying that this is going to
be a Villa two point zero. I'm not even there yet, okay.
(19:09):
But the blind faith for this guy right now, he's
really weird. Yeah, it's it's peculiar. I don't I don't
get it.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Well, a lot of people want to believe he has
that smartest guy in the room type thing. And look
at where he came from. The fact that they, you know,
want to build through the youth doesn't surprise me. He
came from the San Francisco Giants. That's something that they
like to do over there. That's that's a team that
doesn't like to spend a ton of money. But I mean,
at the end of the day, I guess you can
say he has a built in excuse because he's trying
(19:37):
to make it work with a lot of these Al
la Villa pieces, and you know, some of the pieces
are good. You look at Riley Green, I think he's
very very good. Questionable whether he's a outfit or a
one A on this team, but he's very good. Torkosen
had a bounce back year. You know, some of these guys,
Casey Mayes, even battling through injuries. The fact that he
got to the point that he is right now, I
(19:59):
think it's pretty good. Although you can ask for more
from him. I think that's pretty good. But a lot
of these guys took so long to develop that it
kind of sets your team back and then you had
to run like last year, and you wonder, Okay, is
this fool's gold? Is this something that you can actually
build on? And what this year has told us so
far is that you cannot. Although they got off to
(20:20):
a great start, although you know, they had everything working
in their favor, And this is exactly the reason why
myself I was proud of this team. I was happy
with what they were doing, but I was not ready
to say they were a world series time year with
all the hype surrounding them. I stayed strong on that,
and it was hard because I wanted to flip.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Let me ask you this though, and this this goes
back to the just wait, you'll see, You'll all see
the next match of prospects is gonna work. Okay, they
have to at this point, Spencer Turkulsen, is that what
we were waiting for?
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Trust me, I've been beating that drunk for a while.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
Casey bis is that what we were waiting for?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
I guess so one one guy by the way.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
Yeah, that that's I'm being honest. Is that is that
is just what we're been Is there another another level there?
Because like like you said, like, okay, all right, Casey
Mice is a guy, right, I'm not I'm not being mean.
He's a guy.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
I'm not saying I don't want him.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
I think the injuries derailed him a lot because coming
out of college, I mean well coming out of you know,
coming into the pros, he was championed as like the
next pitching phenom man. You can see it in some
of the stuff that he throws, but all those injuries
setting back and now he struggles with runner his own base,
and it's just it's a snowball effect, just like Torque.
All right, coming out of college, he's the next Barry Bonds.
(21:41):
He's beating all the records and he's supposed to hit
the ground ready to go. He has a thirty home
run season. That's cool, But will you get another two
to three years to slop after that?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Hey? JB? Can you put up can you put up
a poll?
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (21:54):
All right? How about how.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
Can we frame this? KG helped me frame this?
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Okay? Who's to blame the The Cleveland Indians have picked
up eight games in the last ten. I want you
guys to think about that. The Tigers are one and nine.
The I called them the Indians again, the Guardians. The
Guardians are nine and one. They picked the tribe. They
(22:18):
picked up eight games. Okay, So, so, JB, who's to
blame the most for this Tigers collapse? The players A J.
Scott Harris or Christopher Illig?
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Is that fair?
Speaker 5 (22:35):
We should probably include in all of the above.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Oh yeah, right, right right? But I think you only
get four options on the YouTube for a word. Don't
get good.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Yeah, all right, we'll put that up. I'm interested to
hear what you guys say.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Hey, calm down, y'all, talk is coming. Oh, it's coming here,
Wally Man, we get it, we get it. Seriously, this
has to be discussed.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
This this is historic. It is it's historic.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
This is worse than last year's collapse of the wins.
When you look at it, they have fourteen games up
on the league on the.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
Central everybody's trying to compare it to two thousand and nine,
which was just devastating.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
What are we doing?
Speaker 5 (23:13):
There's no comparison. This is so much worse.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Now it's not over yet. They can save it this year. Okay,
but I think you, guys, I don't think the average
human being understood until maybe yesterday. Forget about blowing the division,
You're they're this close to blowing the playoffs altogether. I
don't think people really How many times did people say, well,
we might blow the division, but wills to make the playoffs? Yeah,
(23:40):
I'm not so sure about that.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
I'm not sure about that either.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Oh. Oh, by the way, one of the biggest teams
that they're going as in that wild Guard, should they falter,
they're going to Boston the last weekend of the year.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Yeah, it's tough, but they have put themselves in a
position where they shouldn't have to worry about this. Even
with the kind of collapse that they had the second half,
they had built enough of a cushion there to be like, Okay,
if we could just string a few series here, a
few series there, we can get to the playoffs and
then we'll worry about it in the playoffs. But now
you're done lost that luxury as well. This is literally like,
(24:13):
I don't know, man, this is a spiral and I
don't know what else to call it besides that, this
is definitely a spiral at this point. And I don't
know what to expect from this team.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
No, I don't either.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
I want to say the ol gut check and get
through these last few games, but see, I have to
go on.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
I'm in the other direction. I want to say that
they're gonna fall flat on their face, but this is
a team that his bounced back and did the Undertaker
gift multiple times, So I'm like, there it is right.
Oh no, they up again very quickly, and yes, we're
getting into the Lions. You guys, I hope you can understand,
(24:53):
it's a two hour show.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
We do it at the top of the show to
get it out of the way.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Rest of the day, it's it's a two stay with me, okay,
just all right.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
We did it for the Lion.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
One last thing, one last thing. Here's a j telling
everybody we're still in first place.
Speaker 8 (25:21):
But I don't see our guys, you know, quitting. I
don't see our guys down. I don't see our guys pouting.
I don't see our guys conceding, and we shouldn't, you know.
I'm gonna remind everybody that we're a first place team,
and right now it's hard for everybody to look at
us that way because of the way the last week is.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
But the last.
Speaker 8 (25:40):
Week went the way it did, and we're gonna wake
up tomorrow in first place with our with our destiny
controlled by us, against the team that's that's been, you know,
as hot as you can get in baseball, and we
get to play them in the three game series, like
sign me up.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
Heck cot, I was just about to say, don't do it,
reconsider Oh man, how do you not though you had it?
This ship?
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Man?
Speaker 2 (26:09):
They make my drants hurt, they do They really don't sh't.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
I will never know what it's like to have dread pain.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
I know it's crazy. It's crazy. Man. I hopped in
the boat with Neil. I'm like, I'm all bravado, like
this ship is over and I look at us, man,
I look at us, bro it is what it is.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Man.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
You can't get them all right, but they got it.
They gotta do something.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
I still I still remember, like in the spring when
when we were doing a big d energy and Neil
started to bring up those two letters. I didn't want
to hear WS and you and I were right there.
I had a meltdown. I didn't want to hear I
didn't want to hear it. But then, hey, you know what,
in fairness, I started to think it they did. As
(26:54):
as it went on, I started to think it, So
all right, we're up against it. I promise lots of
line and stuff coming up the whole day. It's amazing
how the it's amazing how the NFL could change, like
your perception of how things might be going and how
things might be going tonight, because all of a sudden,
I'm sitting back and I knew this would happen. Day
of the game, I've been I don't think the lines
(27:15):
are gonna win this game, Okay, but I'm gonna tell
you what. When I woke up this morning, you damn
right we're gonna win this game.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Yeah. I don't know, Sean, I'm feeling it. I'm drinking
the kool aid.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Man.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
I don't know, man, I don't know. Man, all right,
where we're going, JB.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
We gotta hear from mad Pass and then artin jameson. First,
let me clear up the super chat because everyone was
chiming in on this whole entire segment about the Tigers
four ninety nine from Dumbo Jumbo, he said, what's the
point of thirty plus home runs if you're just going
to leave three times at amount left on base by
(27:50):
striking out two hundred times a season?
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Him out trying to tell you, man, say.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
You know what, Dumbo, this is why A asked, is
this what we were waiting for? What was this? Was
this the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?
Speaker 2 (28:06):
And it's crazy because I don't want to take away
from the kid. The improvements that he made in the
first half of the season were great. It was like
he was a whole different player. But It's just like, man,
the consistency has always been the problem with this Tigers team. Man,
And there's some people on this team that I think
are just the playing above their pay grade, Like they
(28:26):
just should not be out there and should not be
relied upon on it every day.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
Basis, if I had a head, I throw it again.
I know, I know.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
We got ten dollars from Burn, he sends in. He
said the Packers are not a big game team. Their
QB melts down under pressure, the team is undisciplined and
commits unforced errors. Then their offense is gimmicky, relying on
flag baiting and dumble up.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Can I tell you something, Burn, There's more validity to
what Burn just said, and I think people want to admit.
Speaker 5 (29:01):
Think of the Lions the last couple of years.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Think of the losses. Okay, we've lost to good teams,
and the Packers are a good team. The Packers are
a good team. Okay, I don't care what any of
y'all say. The Packers are a good team. I still
think we're better. When you mix in a loss like that,
it does make your eyebrows go up a little bit.
Like the teams that we lose to Tampa, Washington, Buffalo,
(29:28):
Green Bay. That was that was eye popping. And again
it was the way it happened. We were talking about
just that burn before we went on the year. The
way that happened. I went from one second going gosh,
damn it, the Packers are gonna crap their way to
a thirteen ten win. Two oh.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
I told y'all, maybe.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
My father Joe Flacco is gonna is gonna take Cleveland
down the field.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
And that's what happens.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
I just wait on it with Jordan Love Man, they
listen in the words of my late Pappy, Rest in peace.
George Love's like a cow that gives you a good
pill of milk and then kicks it right over. He
gives you these good stretches to where you're like, holy shit,
he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and
then he delivers you a dune like yesterday, and then
you just left wondering. Okay, And we've seen this from
(30:20):
him before. We've seen the half season of what he
did to the Lions, and then a half season of
this shit that happened this past Sunday. We don't know
what it is with Geordan Love All. I gotta say
is just wait on the dough.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
They don't know what it is. I'm just telling you
what a lot of Packer fans still be in the
off season. This was coming from Packer fans. They said, hey,
you know what, I don't know. We all kind of
assumed that that was the next one. You don't far
beget Rogers, Rogers, beget Love. A lot of Packer fans
that I talked to were ready to say that.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
Uh Burne also followed that up with another five dollars
he sent. Then he said they rely on catching teams sleeping.
Jordan Love has been mid and best are not perfect
and on schedule. He crumbles under pressure.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
That way, I still contend even with what the Vikings
did yesterday, I still contend.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
I think they're number two in the division. The Vikings.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
The Vikings were like, yeah, yeah, chet, yeah crazy.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
Jordan Linehars sends in a nice little poem for everyone,
Roses are red, violess are blue. Your pieza is cheap,
and so are you.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Years ago, I used to do something uh in the
in the Decade of Despair called Lions poetry, where we
would we would take out our frustration with the Lions
through poem, And so that was something that we did
instead of the ranting and raving and screaming. And I like,
I like how Jordan lineheart. You know what, Jordan, it
doesn't make any sense to throw your hat and break things.
(31:54):
Maybe take out your frustration through poem. I think that's
very healthy.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
We might have to spin the block on it. I
kind of liked that idea. I kind of liked that, but.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
It was kind of I can take that out of
the mothballs Lion's poetry.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
But the least you can do, Chris, if you're not
going to pay for us to have a better baseball team,
give us a better fucking pizza than that shit. I
mean that cardboard ship and now it's eight dollars, Like,
come on, bro, what are we doing here? What are
we doing?
Speaker 6 (32:20):
It's the Poetry Hour, the Poetry Hour.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
I can't love it. I don't I don't get it.
They like, seriously, damn, can you pick up a hot Now?
Speaker 2 (32:28):
It's a good kid's pizza when you're a kid. Little
Caesars is amazing. But I swear like when I was
coming up, it tasted a little bit better than what
it does today. Like today is just like it tastes
like the fucking box had read.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
It used to be the struggle pizza that you just
needed to get by through the day or something like that.
Now you know what it is.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Get a crazy bro. They don't even put butter and
cheese on it no more.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
Yeah, you gotta ask for that.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
We get. We get spoiled like like you're right. When
you're a kid, Oh my gosh, it's just so good.
Like I remember going to Chuck E Cheese when I
was a kid. Yeah, oh, Josh had pizza so much.
If you've been there, yeah, it's awful.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
It's but that's when you realize, when you get older
and realize you take your kids like, holy shit, this.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Is this is terrible.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
But as a kid, it was the best shit you
ever had.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Yeah, can you get a pizza the goat? No, I
can't get a pizza to gold all anything else.
Speaker 6 (33:22):
Oh yeah, we still got a lot more. I'll derail
us that one.
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Are you good?
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Let's see where are we at? Cheaf It hips ins
and to show him because he's been on that After
Prospects model all season long. Now look where we are now.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
I appreciate that it t hips, but people that have
followed me. I've been doing that since the Dave Dombrowski era. Okay,
I sat back on a summer day in twenty twelve
and said, we just got Annibelle Sanchez and Omar and
Fonte for Jacob Turner and Rob Brantley, and I had you, guys,
(34:02):
ninety nine percent of the people out there. I am
not exaggerating. Ninety nine percent of the people out there
lost their shit. I believe it lost their shit. Okay,
I've seen it too many times I have. Now, that
doesn't Again, that doesn't mean you're always gonna be right,
because somebody will bring up John Smoltz, Right, John Smoltz, Doyle,
(34:24):
Alexander go way back in the day. The first thing
I'll say is you understand that was thirty eight years ago. Okay, Well,
what about Alfredo, Simon and Suarez? You're right? How many
do you want me to name after that? For everyone
you name, how many do you want me to name?
Give me a number and I'll reach that number of
(34:46):
can't miss prospects that missed, including guys that we traded
and flipped for Nose.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
I don't know, Sean, I'm still mad about each parades,
Steel mad about it.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Yeh dah Kristen Christian or whatever he's calling himself today, Stuart,
because it changed how many like this has been our
lot in life for way too long? Man. I hope
a conical and Clark are it? I do. I pray
to God that they're again. But what if they're like
(35:21):
all the other gus?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (35:23):
What if all we get is a mice.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Don't say that or a torque that?
Speaker 4 (35:29):
Right?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
We are coming to a point to where Sky Harris
is going to be judged by these young guys though,
like point blank perd. Yeah, I hope they work.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
Nice trade deadline.
Speaker 6 (35:40):
We got four ninety nine from Greg twenty twenty five.
He says, thank you Cleveland Browns for showing everyone that
the packers are fraud.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Go lions, Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
This is for you. And you know what the cool
thing is we can repay. We can repay Cleveland next week. Yeah,
by beating them by twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Yep, they were to fall guy, Thank you Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (36:00):
You are playing to beat you by thirty five. Now
we'll beat you by twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
It's like a good mind for your movie. Sean. Hey,
you send a little merchant out to do the dirty work.
Come on, Mack, it's time to get whacks. It is
what it is. It is what it is.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Man.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
You served your purpose, served you purpose?
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Man.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
Oh we got another two dollars from Jordan Line or
he sends in. He says, don't worry, Sean Cob will
save us. Oh wait ah, No, I'm sick about that one.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
I ain't gonna hold you. You spit fifteen y'all could
have sent me out there for fifteen million. At least
I would have played, Hey, I've made out a bitch.
Speaker 6 (36:31):
Will at least I would have played eighteen million dollars.
You can send me out there. I'm gonna give you
everything I got.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
All right?
Speaker 4 (36:36):
Did anybody do any like injury reconnaissance too, because that's
what jumped out to me when he when he was
talking about that, like this was kind of no, right, Yeah,
did anybody It.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Got worse though, Like he thought it was manageable, but
it just woke up. He woke up one day and
it was worse than it was. I feel bad for
the guy.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
He's got a bullpen session though, as or as organization
though to even give him that amount of money, it
was crazy.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
At the time. We all said it was a bad
deal at the time it was made. So does man
is that sean beligion or Jack Nicholson. I can't like
anger manage.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Just Scott.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Gooles Frava.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
The head Jade gools Raba.
Speaker 6 (37:28):
We got four ninety nine from Dante won five to one.
He sins in. He said the nineteen eighty four Tiger's
title is eight years older than me. I was born
in nineteen ninety two. My sister was born in nineteen
eighty eight. We are both wanting to see a world
series channel Dante.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
I swear to God that's where my anger comes from.
I hope you believe me. I mean that in all sincerity.
One of my good buddies is he was four and
he has no memory of it. And he's one of
the biggest Tiger fans, you know, Like honestly, he's one
of the aes Tiger fans you know. And if you
guys know my boy at all, I mean, the only
(38:05):
reason we had season tickets for all those years was
my kid that that's what he loved. And thank the
good Lord, he works for the Tigers now. I just
want him to see a championship. That's it.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
Like I want you guys that haven't had the opportunity
to see one.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
I saw it.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
I'm content. I saw a world series. We got our
ass but I saw one two of them.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
Technically all right, we got two dollars from burn, he said.
Sean Lion's played today, So no one cares about the Tiger.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
I know, well, I mean we care, we care, but
we wanted to give it its proper huh.
Speaker 5 (38:43):
And then we're gonna go to the line.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Right, could be a burial who knows we got throwing
some shade and someone I generally blame spinning.
Speaker 6 (38:53):
I don't know what he did, but.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Spinny spending the whole time, and to his credit, man,
he stood on bit. He said that it wasn't over
until it was over, and by God, like one game away.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
Well, he's standing on its, standing on business on it spending.
Do you still feel that way?
Speaker 2 (39:12):
Yes he does? Okay, no, boy, he's rubbing it in
Neil's face every single day because you know, deal has
been full step ahead. It's over, it's over. I've been
there with him, so guilty by association.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
But a man two dollars from nobody, he sends, and
he asks, who's more inconsistent Jordan love with the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Tigers by a mile. Yeah, Tigers by a mile and
a half.
Speaker 4 (39:36):
Jesus, I get your point, though, Yeah, I get your point.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
But Tigers right close second, Jordia.
Speaker 4 (39:43):
Here's a problem with the Tigers. They could go fight
and one this week. But that's the crazy thing about
the b it is.
Speaker 6 (39:53):
And finally, before we go to break, shout out to
Brian sitting in nine ninety nine. We forgot one of
the best wide receiver QB wide receiver duels from last week.
What about Aaron Rochester Kirby Chelsea?
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Hey, great, great tandem. That is great.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
Tana absolutely all right, JB, where are we going?

I just want to.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
I had a stat line up.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
Eighteen to twenty five, a buck eighty three, a touchdown
in interception, and eighteen yards.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Rushing against arguably the worst team in the league.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
Okay, but you know what I would say if we
had a game like that in the interest of being fair,
do you know what I would say?
Speaker 5 (44:53):
Guys, it's the National Football League. Shit like this is
going to happen.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Every good team gets a clunker in there.
Speaker 4 (44:59):
We haven't mixed in a clunker in a while. We
really haven't, like against the clunker team. I shout, you
know what, you know what I'm saying? Oh, it was
a ship show. Yeah, but Green Bay's a good team.
I think we could say that Free Ba's a good team.
How does our.
Speaker 5 (45:14):
Poll up very quickly before we get into the Lions?
Speaker 4 (45:16):
JB.
Speaker 6 (45:17):
It's really close actually between two right now? You want
to guess the two.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Or Chris Ilch and the players you're spot on.
Speaker 6 (45:30):
The players have a percent in the poll of to
blame and little Chris that's thirty five. We have over
two hundred people voting on this pole as well, too.
Speaker 4 (45:40):
Appreciate you guys, Thank you seriously, thank you, thank you,
Thank you Lions. Ravens Uh, I don't know if you
guys watched the the Open yesterday for CBS and and
people were tweeting it out all over the place. They
went old school what it used to look like in it?
Oh yeah, I thought that was so cool, cool because
you know what it did. It reminded now I was
(46:03):
very very little, you have to remember, but a guy,
you know, Maz a few years older than me, you know,
I like, I sent it to Mas immediately. I was like,
oh my gosh, this is our youth. And it was
an era where I say this all the time. There
wasn't an ESPN. You didn't get a lot of highlights,
so Monday night football was the be all end all,
(46:25):
and you wanted to stay up because at halftime, Howard
Cosell put together you know what, like what Chris Berman
does the fastest two minutes.
Speaker 5 (46:32):
That's what Cosel did, Ok.
Speaker 4 (46:33):
He put together And so if You're Lions, Billy Simms
that farmer Hi Spent trophy when my pants were down,
Like seriously, I'm I'm I'm like nine years old. My
pants were down. Monday night football still hits that hard
for me, man, it does, and especially because it's the
Baltimore Ravens KG. Yeah, this is, I mean, one of
(46:56):
the best in the AFC, one of the best in
the NFC. What's not to like about this tonight?
Speaker 2 (47:01):
And it's a team that we owe a little something too.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Man.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
They have had our number pretty much their entire existence.
And for a Lion's team that's this good. Now, you
really hope that they can go out there and they
can play their best game, because when the Lions play
their best football, they are one of the hardest teams
to be in this league. It's not just Lamar, It's
not just the Ravens. The Lions are in that conversation
as well. But it's only gonna happen if they can
(47:26):
protect Jared Goff and if they can get after Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
I'm so glad. I see what you did there.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
You know, more often than not, we are so uber
focused on the shiny things. Yeah, what can our shiny
things do to them? How can we stop their shiny things?
And again, tip of the cap, what Zay and Lamar
are doing right now is outstanding. I mean they're off
to a great start. Everything in this game KG comes
(47:52):
to We're pretty good last week against the Bears protecting
Jared Goff. We have to ratchet that up a good
sixty percent. Yeah, catch this team that gets.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
No, for sure, you're gonna see all type of exotic
blitz packages coming the way of those young guards. So
they have to be ready, man, And that goes for
the whole offensive line. I don't want to just single
out to young guys. They are absolutely important, but when
they swell Taylor Decker, they have to be ready for
you know what the Ravens are gonna bring, because that
is a ferocious front seven that they are bringing. And
(48:24):
if you get pressure on Golf, that doesn't bode well
for him putting the ball in the air with that
secondary that they have over there. Of course, Kyle Hamilton
highlighting the bunch. So no, this is this is going
to be a tough matchup, make no mistake about it.
But I think the Lions have everything they need in
house to be able to beat a team like this,
and I think they're getting the Lions like probably at
(48:45):
the best that they've seen them, because even when you
go back to twenty twenty three, we still had the
questions as to how good can this team really be? Now,
they did go on to go to the NFC Championship
that year, but we were coming off the twenty twenty
two season in which they were nine eight, and we
don't even want to talk about twenty twenty one. That
was a disaster, transitional year. We knew what the hell
that was. But I think the Lions are are primed.
Speaker 4 (49:08):
They're ready to take on a Ravens team of this caliber.
The number is four and a half. Now I listen,
I'm gonna call myself out. I didn't know this number existed.
Maz put us in like the show prep sheet. Shout
up to mans, I hope you had a great weekend.
We'll see you back in here tomorrow. Maz puts together
the show prep sheet. So if you guys want to
(49:30):
call me dumb, it won't be the first time and
it certainly won't be the last time. Did you did
you know that number that he put in there? That
Lamar is twenty four and two against the NFC. Yeah,
I did you know that, JB I that number.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
If you didn't see it, there is only the whole
NFL media that's been telling you that all week long.
Lamar's record against the NFC, I've heard it like at
nausey in this and it's credit to him. It's it's
freaking impeccable.
Speaker 5 (49:59):
No doubt about it. All right, so some sound no doubt.
Speaker 4 (50:03):
Let's first hear Dan Campbell Marcus Davenport.
Speaker 5 (50:07):
I just liked Campbell.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
Can we can we get any update you might have
on Marcus?
Speaker 11 (50:15):
Yeah, I don't see Davenport playing. We're still trying to
decide what to do. We've gotten some some other tests back.
We do not feel this season ending, but don't see
him playing this week.
Speaker 6 (50:28):
It's over.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
That tells me that it won't be like season ending
like he said. But he's probably gonna miss significant time
and maybe I'm talking maybe past Thanksgiving. That's probably what
you're looking at, but who knows, We don't know. But
it's just unfortunate.
Speaker 3 (50:47):
Man.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
Marcus.
Speaker 4 (50:48):
I'm gonna say it again, dude, like, and I mean
this with all sincerity. I mean I hope you get healthy.
I hope you can stay healthy. But for you to
be frustrated at people doing this, you've got to understand it.
Speaker 5 (51:04):
Right, Yeah, you got to understand it.
Speaker 4 (51:07):
I know it's got to be incredibly frustrating, but I
was really taken aback. I don't even remember when it happened.
KG was at the end of August or early September
where you know he kind of got animated about.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
It, right, Yeah, it was training camp.
Speaker 5 (51:21):
Davin Card.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
Davin Card is crazy, I get it, But I mean,
at least this ain't like last year's scenario where he's
not coming back. He will be back, and all I
encourage him to do once he returns is a go
out there and just leave it all out on the field.
Not to say that he won't, but if you want
to erase that that injury stink when you come back,
(51:45):
you are going to have to like play prolifically.
Speaker 4 (51:50):
And that's like, let's be honest, that's exactly what it
comes down to. You want you want people to to
stop saying it. Remember the narrative thing. Okay, you know
the best way to stop narratives? Stop them? Yeah, don't
talk about.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Stop it, just like right, because I'm getting sicking. Oh
we should have it's a QB sneak, So you're gonna
brand the QB. That's all it is.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
Fucking stop them. Yeah, like like stop being so soft
and stop them. Yeah, that's that's That's what it comes
down to. Uh, Davenport and a Lin McNeil coming at
the about the same time.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, maybe I think a lean before dav I think
I think it's a lane before Davenport at this point.
Speaker 4 (52:30):
All right, Uh, Dan Campbell talking about Terry and Arnold.
Speaker 11 (52:35):
I feel great about t A t A is Here's
what I love. He listen, he goes to work, man,
and uh he he does not lack confidence. He acknowledges,
you know, like hey man, I can be better and
I will be better. And he goes out there and
works at it in practice, and uh and he will.
You know, it's like anybody else Man, any other player
(52:56):
at any other position. It just happens to be those
guys get on an island lot. It's like your quarterback, right,
and everybody sees it. But there's plenty of things that
go on that not everybody sees. Where we need guys
to be better, and you just continue to work at
it and practice and they do get better. So I'm
not worried about ta.
Speaker 4 (53:13):
Nor am I thank you Dan nor am I.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
I hope the folks listening out there, your head coach speaking.
Speaker 4 (53:19):
I've seen it too many times in this league, man,
and now if you want a counter to guys like KG,
and I say and say, yeah, I have seen it
too many times. It doesn't come together for a guy,
I will say to che. But then my response would be,
why don't you just wait a little while? Yeah, do
you trust these guys? Do you trust them? Do you
(53:41):
trust and do trust Brad? If they earned your trust,
if they're telling you that there's a whole nother level there,
maybe just maybe you suck it up for a little bit.
We'll know, right I think, well, Kg, I'll tell you
right now, if by the end of the year we're
having a lot of these same conversations, I'm gonna look
at you in late December or early January and go, hey, KG,
(54:04):
are you a little worried now?
Speaker 2 (54:06):
And then that'll be fair. But when I look at this,
I just don't see it as like a Jeff Okuda
type situation. And when you look at when he was
brought in one. They were on a win now mandate,
So that's the only reason why he even wasn't lying
in the first place, being picked third overall. But he
was drafted to a team that ran a whole different
system to what he was accustomed to, and that's why
(54:28):
you saw the problems with TA. He's coming in and
everything works for him, the way this defense is run
to a place to his skill set. I'm not really
worried about what Terry and Arnold is gonna be. And
that doesn't mean he's going to be perfect. But for
people that worry about TA, I bring up Darius Slay.
For a long time, I think it was at least
(54:49):
two to three seasons we were worried about what is
Darius Slay gonna be? A lot of people thought he
was garbage. A lot of people said he was cooked,
and then he turned into one of the best cover
corners in all of football as a and then as
a Philadelphia Eagle as well. So I'm not worried about TA.
He's gonna be fine. He's there, he's he's you know,
he doesn't make every play, but at least he's in
(55:10):
the area. He's not getting burnt consistently. They're gonna be fine.
I'm not worried about it.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
I had to deal I'm not joking. I had to
deal with the Darius Slay stuff well into his second year,
like like well into his second year. It was amazing.
And you know what it was, if you remember, it
was complete with well we should have taken this guy, well,
we should have taken that guy. It was. It was
(55:36):
full of stuff like that. Whether people want to admit
it or not, I don't care. I lived it. I
know how that went. I'm gonna help my friend JB.
We got we got a lot of sound to play yet. Branch,
I'm on ra talking about this matchup Ksep talking about
going on the road. But we're probably three breaks late today.
(55:57):
I mean, we may as well start out Monday like
it said Wednesday. Well, man, let's just go. So I'm
making JB's life miserable. So JB, how about we do
that when we come back, Well, we'll hear from Brian
Branch and a few others, and the anticipation for the
Monday night game. It's a beautiful thing, JB. Where we're going,
all right?
Speaker 6 (56:15):
We gotta hear from black Rock and Sharon's Heating and Cooling.
But I'll clear up to these super chats while we
got a little bit of time going on. Shout out
to everyone sending them in. Owen says in one he said,
Raven's best defensive line is out. This is huge.
Speaker 4 (56:29):
Let's go. That's exactly it. Yes, sir, let's go one thousand.
That's that's a huge, huge factor.
Speaker 6 (56:37):
And this isn't a super chat, but I just thought
it was funny anyway. Shout out to Steve de Young
sending this in all in favor of renaming the stretch
of the Davenport.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
That was pretty good. That was pretty good. I give
you that, all right.
Speaker 6 (56:54):
But let's hear from Black Rock in Sharon's Heating and Cooler.

Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
Rookie on Rookie potential Mike Green on Tate Ratlings. That's
that's like, that's that's one like I wish you know
how they always have the analysts like I work with
former Michigan wide receiver Grant Parry. He's one of the
best analysts. I'm serious this guy. If you're not familiar
with his work now, you will be soon. He's one
(01:01:06):
of those guys he just sees things differently. Okay. I
wish I had the little pen there to circle that
because Mike Green is reportedly going to get that, which
Kyle van Ney would have gotten. Right, So I'm gonna
be really intrigued. And I think we all know the
(01:01:27):
Mike Green story, Okay, talent wise, pretty hard to deny it, right,
pretty hard to deny. He was one of those guys
that I thought to myself, in a perfect world, the
Lions would draft him.
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
You know, as well as I do the lines. We're
never going to draft him.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Unfortunately, that's what.
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
The Lions do, like right, wrong or indifferent, that's what
they do. But it was funny because and conversely, KG,
I remember people crapping me, crapping on me, and I said,
did you forget what the name of it was? Okay,
who would you pick? Knowing that they're not going to pick?
(01:02:05):
And I said, Mike Green. Yeah, like they weren't gonna
do it, you know what, I know? It like we
all move on. But I think what he brings to
the table might have been a pretty good fit for
this team. There are so many little intriguing things that
I'm looking at in this game, and I want to
see again how this line as a unit takes a
(01:02:26):
step up. That's what I'm looking at.
Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
This game.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Okay, uh, hey, you passed with flying colors last week
against the Bears.
Speaker 5 (01:02:34):
That's a JV squad.
Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Now guess what boys, you gotta go play the varsity
on Monday night.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Yeah No, this pass rush is way different than what
the Bears are bringing. And what the Bears bringing ain't bad,
don't get me wrong. They have a pretty solid pass rush,
but compared to what the Ravens are bringing, this is
a whole different scenario. And I think the offensive line
is going to have the magnifying glass on them all
season long. Like a lot of these games are gonna
be determined by how well the offensive line holds up
(01:03:02):
and how will those rookies do against the challenges they
will face because everything goes through that offensive line, the
run game, the play action protecting Jared Goff, like, everything
flows through them. So if they have a bad game,
then normally that's a snowball effect and the offense goes
into the shitter at that point. So that's what we
don't want to see tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
Another key component to this game Dan Campbell talking on
Brian Branch.
Speaker 8 (01:03:30):
Brian Branch, just these first couple of games have been
playing at a really high level. What was the thing
you wanted to see from him going into the season
in terms of the next step.
Speaker 11 (01:03:38):
Yeah, I would just say the consistency, you know, consistency
of really doing your job. You know, here's what here's
Bbe is a productive player. Man, He's a playmaking dude.
He's got instincts. He's a ball hawk, he's a hell
of a tackler, he's a good blitzer, he's a good
cover guy. Mean, he can do all those things. But
(01:04:00):
just him staying disciplined at times, you know, with his
eyes and some of those things, the detail of your assignment.
That's the next little step for him. And it's it Listen.
It's improved so much every year he's just gotten better
and better and that's part of him maturing and growth
in the defense. And uh but man, he just continues
(01:04:20):
to trend the right way. I mean, he's he's something else.
Speaker 4 (01:04:25):
Such a fantastic comment from Dan Campbell and and what
he didn't say, but I hope you could rett read
between the lines is hey, look, this guy is so
damn good right now.
Speaker 5 (01:04:38):
And there's another level. Oh there's another level with this guy.
Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
KG No, I believe that. But once again we just
got to see it all on the field. But we
all know that he can tap into another level. We've
seen it, We've seen what he's capable of, and I'm
just hoping that, you know, we get a little bit
of that tonight because they're gonna need it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:56):
You know what it is, it's the whole. It's it's
the young bull, right, the young bowl full of semen
that just wants to run old analogy. He's just full
of it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
I'm gonna go blow my wand everywhere.
Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
Remember your assignment, young man, your assignment all right? Uh,
I have no idea where that one came from, but
strong like.
Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
I got an idea.
Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
This is I'm on Justice.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
I did some Justice play.
Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
This is I'm on Rod. I'm the matchup tonight. Oh.
Speaker 12 (01:05:37):
I think we're all super confident in our we are
as an offense. We're confident in being able to put
up points in any way, whether that's through the air,
on the you know, on the ground, if it takes us,
you know, twelve plays, fifteen play drive or two play drive.
Either one is fine for us as long as we
you know, score points. But we feel like, you know,
we can put up points versus you know almost any
(01:06:01):
team in this league. If we do, we have to
do execute, take care of the ball, all the little things.
But like I said, when you have a good defense
going against a good offense, you never know what happens.
Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
I get what he's saying. Man, if there's something there,
you take it right. I think sometimes people you try
to overthink it right, And and what I mean by
that is, well, no, we should let's hold on to
the ball and have those time consuming drives because that
way you keep your your off their offense off the field.
(01:06:34):
You're right, Like, I'm not saying you're wrong. But I
don't know if if Jamo's running amuck ten yards behind
everybody else, I hope you don't get mad at me
if I hit him for a sixty five yard touch.
Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
No, of course not.
Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
We all know how this offense is. It's the good
wheel man. Whoever gets hit on that sad day is
going to be like the highlight of the game. And
I don't think you know, anybody on this offense has
a problem with that. Because we've seen the Amayra game,
We've seen the Jamo game. We've seen both of them
at the same time. I mean Laporto. We can go
down the list. Eventually you will see the Tesla game.
(01:07:13):
That's just how this Lion's offense operates, and that's how
Jared Goff likes to spread the ball around. That's one
of his greatest attributes.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
And again, yeah, in a perfect world, let's let's put
together some time consuming drives. Let's put together let's put together.
Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
Hey, I like being in a third and two.
Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
I really like the Lions chances in a third and
two with the running backs at their disposal and some
of the weapons. And let's be honest, so often the
Lions end up throwing there. Yes, in theory that is
one hundred correct. I'd love nothing more. Let's hold the ball,
keep the hand out of Lamar. But if that SHOT's available,
you can go ahead and take that shot. Yeah, don't don't,
(01:07:50):
don't worry about that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
And best believe they will. I hope the Ravens defense
is ready because they ain't seen that Jamo speed. So
it's saying.
Speaker 4 (01:07:58):
That's exactly it. Case Yap on playing on the road
at a place like Baltimore.
Speaker 14 (01:08:04):
Sometimes it's crazy because there's nothing that can't ever compare
the Ford field and being in there and feeding all
our freaking crowd. Those guys has been around thirty forty
years before I was born. It's ticket holders who's been
sitting in them same seats. But it's a little something
different when you go on the road and you know,
you look to your right, you look to your left,
you look in front of us, and it's Dan Campbell
(01:08:25):
standing right there, and you know that's all we need,
and you know this is all we got, This is
all we need.
Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
Now.
Speaker 14 (01:08:31):
We're fortunate to have a fan base to travel. So
I don't know if they're gonna pack it out like
they think, but no, it's gonna be an unbelievable environment,
unbelievable opponent, unbelievable tests for our unit, and our guys
will be ready to meet that challenge.
Speaker 4 (01:08:45):
I'm glad that he brought that up. There are a
couple of things that come to mind, but let's start
with what he just said. I'm glad that he brought
that up. Did we forget like almost the weekly while
that's gone on the last two weeks of Lions fans
going on the road.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:09:02):
Have we all forgotten that?
Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
Think so? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:09:05):
Because I mean this fan base has shown up and
how many games have we seen it where at the
end of the game, you're hearing the chance and you're
seeing all the people congregated right and and behind where
they have you know that you're doing the post game
show and you see nothing but Honolulu Blue behind.
Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Them, right, Yeah, no, it's it's been amazing, man. But
that just goes to show you, like the Lions have
one of the best fan bases in all the sports,
even some of y'all crazy motherfuckers that be in here
complaining every day. Yes, you two, like we are a
start fan base. We are a fan base that that
cares about the product, that are knowledgeable about the product.
And you know, we finally advantain we could be proud of, man.
(01:09:46):
So I'm not mad at that at all. And can
I just say I'm falling in love Pauls more and
more with Kelvin Sheppard every single day, right, And I
know that jokes. It's my I right, How can I
not love?
Speaker 4 (01:10:01):
Self love is not a bad thing, oh I never.
Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Never is a good amount of self love.
Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
There are some places that can help you with some
self yeah, right, but no, his.
Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
His presence at the podium, man, just the way he speaks.
I love like how he lays out, you know, his
plans for the defense with the media and stuff like that.
I really like Kysha Man and I hope that you know,
this defense, you know, proves to be a good one.
And by all means, it seems like they will be
at least a middlewater pack defense at worst.
Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
I can't tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
This is one thing that I think fans maybe make
too big of a deal about. And this is just
based on some things that.
Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
People have told me over the years.
Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
Okay, going on the road isn't exactly a big deal.
Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
It just isn't for these guys.
Speaker 4 (01:10:48):
Now, there are some circumstances in some atmospheres that kind
of became a big deal, right, you know, Like I've
heard guys say, oh my gosh, when we were at
Seattle for this game, Oh it was so louder, Oh
man old RFK Stadium. When the stadium started bouncing, like
(01:11:09):
legitimately you can go look at like old the stadium
would bounce. It was disconcerting. But a vast majority of time,
you know what guys say, and it's not popular to
say it public publicly, so you don't hear it very often.
And I'm not gonna tell you who said it to me,
but I can't tell you how many times a.
Speaker 5 (01:11:28):
Guy said to me, that's a fan thing. That's that's
a fan thing.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Like we don't. We don't think about it. It's a
business trip for us. You don't. The term business trip
exists for a reason. Okay, it's a business trip.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
We go in, we check in, get a good meal,
go to the hotel, go to bed, get up in
the morning, and we go play a football game.
Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
It's okay.
Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
Now, there are some circumstances where my guess is they'll
be a little more salsa in the earth tonight. Right,
they'll kick it up a notch, right, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
The Ravens are a damn good fan base too. It's
gonna be hard to take over M and t Ye.
Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
Yeah, and there's still the Monday night thing. Man, we
just get a little maniacal for whatever reason, another level up.
So I'm not saying it's not going to be imposing. Okay.
What I am telling you is I've had more guys
than you could shake a stick at. Tell me, okay,
that's more of a fan thing. We really don't realize
(01:12:29):
it that often. It doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but
we don't realize it that often. So you know what
the best part is, Man, get off to a good start.
How about have your defense stop Lamar, they punt, you
get the ball back, we go straight down the field.
It's seven nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:12:44):
You gotta keep that crowd out of that game because
it's one thousand. Is gonna be amazing.
Speaker 11 (01:12:47):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
I love they insurance. You know they Baltimore knows how
to do it right.
Speaker 3 (01:12:52):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
They've been one of my favorite teams for years. Man,
and it's gonna be a test, like make no mistake,
But I do think that this Lions team is capable.
Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
There's an appreciation in a market like Baltimore. I think
people forget. Could you imagine having your franchise taken away?
I couldn't, and it's gone for what a decade.
Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
I don't care how bad the Lions are. I never
imagine the Lions not being in the drug never, never,
never ever.
Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
I watch those poor my first year in the business
I started in Toledo, those poor brown fans, I could not.
You had to wait. You had to wait the ninety
five season ends. You had to wait until nineteen ninety
nine for a new team, Well, take taking a step further,
take it a step further. What the Colts leave it
(01:13:39):
in the middle of the night packing up those trucks
driving to Indianapolis.
Speaker 5 (01:13:43):
You don't get a team back till nineteen ninety six.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:13:47):
There's an appreciation there, man that you can't put a
price tag on. And I think it shows I do
and that's why it's important in my mind.
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
Hey, you know what my perfect scenario, I'll say it again.
Speaker 4 (01:13:58):
Get Lamar off the field, get the ball back, goes
straight down the field, you stop their offense. You got
a touch out there behind the eight ball. Yeah, that's
what perfect start for me.
Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
I'm very interested to see how Kelvin Shepherd is gonna
call this game, because the defense is gonna be really
incumbent on them to to go out there and get stops,
not let broken plays turn in the long drives. Like
I really am interested. This is the first real test
of Kelvin Shepherd and this Lion's defense this season, and
I'm looking forward to I mean, I think he's gonna
(01:14:30):
be ready.
Speaker 6 (01:14:30):
kJ don't you gotta get a flight out of here
as soon as the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
Shot I sure don't because I'm not k shut.
Speaker 4 (01:14:38):
You guys here one day. You know, maybe you need
to tap in when when KG is doing the uh
the postgame show and the watch party and the watch party,
so you could see wait a second, he isn't. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
We debunked this at your house, sewn. You remember the
broadcast we did for Youts. We debunked it then, but
people wanted people want to run with it.
Speaker 6 (01:14:58):
Close up of Kelvin Shepard on the field, so it still.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Might be you. Oh my god, not even close, man,
not even close. I appreciate it though.
Speaker 4 (01:15:05):
Now good good, look all right. Uh, by the way,
where's the uh where's the poll at?
Speaker 6 (01:15:11):
Oh boy?
Speaker 15 (01:15:12):
Uh, let me take a look at this. Uh still
slightly close, but uh the players have taken over with
thirty seven percent. Little Chris is following behind with thirty
percent and Scott Harris with twenty six.
Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
A lot of blame has been dropped from Chris's shoulders.
Speaker 6 (01:15:30):
Over four hundred voters in there too.
Speaker 4 (01:15:32):
Man. I am not I mean, I'm not at the
point with Scott Harris yet where I'm saying this isn't
gonna work.
Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
I want to I want to stress that.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
He's had some good and some bad.
Speaker 4 (01:15:43):
Yeah, a mixed bag, and that's exactly what it is. Yeah,
And I think my biggest problem is if I can
acknowledge it's a mixed bag, and I'm allegedly a hater,
how come other people can acknowledge it's a mixed bag.
How come you can't say, hey man, the Eduardo thing
was a fail, hey man, the twenty twenty five kg
(01:16:06):
it wasn't just a fail. He made the team worse.
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Yeah than he did. It's hard to argue that at
this point one of the bigger guys at an acquisition
ain't even here anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
I gotta ask you, JB, how do you see the
game playing out tonight? I think I think, I think.
I think KG and I have both said, although I'm
guilty of slap dickism all weekend, I said that the
Ravens are going to find a way to win as
this day goes on, I know by eight o'clock tonight,
I'll be going, right, that's.
Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
Exactly I think We're all in that boat. And I
know Monday night football, Sunday night football, especially Thursday night football,
I've all gotten that kind of stink on him to
be low scoring games. But I don't think this one
will be. I think this one will be basically cinema.
This will be a movie. This will be a shootout
which we don't want to see, but honestly is going
to be a shootout.
Speaker 5 (01:16:59):
Hey, listen to it saved the NFL weekend.
Speaker 4 (01:17:01):
It really could. This weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
This week sucked. They fucked me over in the picks
this week, Like, let me tell you.
Speaker 4 (01:17:08):
And listen, the quality of games sucked. They did. It
was a bet.
Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
Did you stay up and watch that ship last night?
Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
Oh no, yeah, stayed up. I'm surprised the Chiefs poured
that out because they even in twenty two to nine,
they do not look.
Speaker 5 (01:17:24):
Good, not at all.
Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
They do not look not And and you know what
starting again, uh the the Kelsey laying into Andy Reid ship. Yeah,
and you know how in the past Andy Reid just
kind of sat there like this is.
Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
Right because they was winning.
Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
My man turned around and gave it to him. Yeah,
he gave it to him.
Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
How do you make Andy Reid man like, come on, man?
Speaker 4 (01:17:45):
That was that was an awful watch? No, it was
it really it was JB. Seriously, I'm glad you said
you stayed up, and that was now. I didn't stay
up for the whole thing because I did the dumb
mistake of staying up Saturday night. I did.
Speaker 2 (01:18:02):
Yeah, what a dumb ass.
Speaker 6 (01:18:03):
Yeahday night.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Shut it out with him, shout it out.
Speaker 4 (01:18:08):
Can I say this? Can I say this? If you
can't recognize that Aiden Childs hasn't taken a step, you're
just being a dick at this point in time.
Speaker 5 (01:18:18):
And I was one of those guys. I was one
of those guys.
Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
I need more.
Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
Guess what, even after BC, you were still like, nah,
Sti'll see some stuff there. He's missing passed.
Speaker 5 (01:18:27):
I have to I have to acknowledge it.
Speaker 4 (01:18:29):
Yeah, he's I'm not saying he's a star or anything,
but you can understand why some people were so excited
about him.
Speaker 5 (01:18:38):
He's an exciting player.
Speaker 12 (01:18:39):
No.
Speaker 4 (01:18:39):
Yeah, they have no defense. Yes, it's frightening. They have
no defense and the line play is abysmal. Uh, but
there there are a couple of nice, shiny pieces on
that offense.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
Do you think Child's wild get better as the year
goes on?
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
If I if I saw it already this year, yes, yes, yep.
Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
Well, at least I can say I think y'all for
sure get to a bowl game this year. I mean,
if y'all keep playing offensively, away y'all play, I think
y'all can get to a bowl game, right Sean, you're
gonna pour the mayo on yourself. Man, it's gonna be okay.
Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
I do I need that mayo buka all over me.
I'm I'm I'm not would join you. I know I
absolutely do.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
The mayoke is nuts.
Speaker 4 (01:19:24):
I think that is if you have a defense. Now,
if you if you have a defense like that, Okay,
I'm back to the I don't know about six wins
thing because it what was frustrating is Childs is better
than than I then. I think a lot of us
(01:19:47):
thought he was going to be And and like I
told you last year, if he plays better, I'll tell
you he plays better. I'm it's weird. I'm fair like that. Okay.
If he doesn't play batter better, don't ask me to
say he's playing better. He's been better, his decision making
has been better. He's showing the electricity, he's showing the
(01:20:09):
propensity to not make dumb. But if with this defense,
JB and KG, I'm not being funny with this defense,
I actually feel worse about the prospect of going six
and six.
Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
No, I hear you, because you got to be able
to stop people at some point, even in college. I mean,
for crying out loud, But I think y'all offense can
kind of outshadow that. Y'all have a great wide receiver
to running game ain't horrible. I think y'all can get
by with what y'all have and at least get six wins,
because I mean, y'all don't have a lot of like
crazy like games on the schedule. I think your schedule
(01:20:45):
automatically put you in.
Speaker 4 (01:20:46):
We were looking we were looking at the schedule the
other night at JB. I don't know if you've played
the schedule game with them, Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:20:52):
I have.
Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
Maryland is Maryland's what FOREI and no? Now right, Maryland's
for and no? Yeah, they always Iowa. You don't know
what Iowa is. Minnesota, you know, I mean, Pg's gonna
get him going. You just don't know how good they're
gonna be Michigan.
Speaker 5 (01:21:12):
They're not beating Michigan with this defense. I'm just saying
it right now.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
They're they're not being.
Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Asha beat Minnesota. I mean Maryland they always do this
ship where they look good, they look good, and then
we know what happens with that.
Speaker 4 (01:21:23):
I don't think they beat Nebraska with this defense, and
I was not Nebraska. Nebraska is exactly who I thought
they were. Yeah, like what I talked about all week,
and I've been one of those guys. I don't get
it with Riola. I don't I haven't got it with Riola.
And he got to put pressure on him, he reminded
us all last week.
Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Yeah, all you got to do is put pressure on him.
Into Michigan's credit, they were able to do that in spades,
which is why they won that game the way they did.
But yeah, if y'all can't at least get some form
of pressure on him, it might be a long day.
Speaker 4 (01:21:53):
You guys, You guys, your fan base, and I think
that you were were reasonable. You saw again why you
have to wait a little bit for a guy. And
we're just talking about child's Okay. Bryce Underwood isn't there yet.
Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
No, he's not there yet, but he's showing you somethings.
Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
And he's showing you some things. That's exactly it. And
this is why at the beginning of the year, I said,
this man, you're talking about a true freshman, like if
you expect the world from him at the beginning of
the year, that's your fault. That's not even his fault, Okay,
But to your point, KG, he's showing you some things.
(01:22:37):
And if you can run the ball and get that
kind of protection like they did. I still feel good
about the chance of this team winning ten games.
Speaker 9 (01:22:48):
I do.
Speaker 5 (01:22:48):
I still feel good about the chance of Michigan winning
ten games.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Sean, I feel you. I'm still not there yet. I'll
still go nine to three. But I just like the
fact that it seems like the play call in at
least under Biff, Pogi will see what happens with Sharon
gets back. But under Biff, they went out there and
they took some chances, and they it paid dividends. And
the one thing that impresses me about you know, Bryce,
aside from the running ability and the throwing ability, the
(01:23:12):
kid doesn't have the turnover issue knock on wood or whatever.
He doesn't seem to have that turnover problem that child's
kind of had early on. And I think if you're
a freshman quarterback that doesn't turn the ball over, like
that's that's all you can ask for, Like that's probably
the best part of his game so far.
Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
All right, So I'm gonna do it very quickly. I'm
gonna I'm gonna play the impromptu h schedule game for
both of these teams, because.
Speaker 5 (01:23:39):
No, seriously, I'm I'm of knowing what we know now.
Speaker 1 (01:23:42):
I am.
Speaker 4 (01:23:42):
I am of the opinion. I am of the opinion
that that I think that Michigan has a like legitimate
chance of getting to ten games. I've said it all.
Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
They do what they beat USC. That's the only way there,
it is, that is the only way.
Speaker 4 (01:23:58):
Wisconsin at home, Okay, thanks for playing at USC, no
doubt about that.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Okay, but hold that thought for just a second.
Speaker 4 (01:24:08):
Washington at Michigan, Okay, thanks for playing at Michigan. State,
Perdue comes into town. Notre Dame just scored again. They
go to Northwestern, they go to Maryland, and then you
host Ohio State. Now, can I throw something at you?
Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:24:25):
What if they lose to USC? What if they lose
to USC?
Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Then you're in danger of not making the playoffs and
you're nine and two against your biggest rival at home?
Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Would a be nine and three at that point because
they Nebraska? Oh wait? No, no, yeah, oh Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
You're you're you are literally you're at home against your
biggest rival nine and two, and you know, damn well,
you win the game, you're going in the playoff.
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
Yeah, but if you lose, it depends on who the
other nine and threes are, because I still feel that
they want to get four at least for a big
team Big ten teams in and Michigan could very well
be one of those teams in nine and three, depending
on who they're going on.
Speaker 4 (01:25:05):
Do you know? Do you know what the problem is?
Speaker 1 (01:25:06):
Though?
Speaker 4 (01:25:06):
Well, I'm gonna say the exact same thing that I
did last year. Find me three losses for Indiana, find
me three losses for Penn State. Find me three losses
for Ohio State. No, you can't find me three losses
for Oregon.
Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
But those three last three teams you mentioned, I expect
them to be the top three teams in the Big ten.
You're looking at a team like Indiana. You really think
they would put Indiana over Michigan in a Big ten.
Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
Situation, ten and two Indiana over nine and three Michigan. Yes,
I don't know, because do you know what hurt them?
Do you know what hurt them? Because I'm telling you
right now, this is what people look at what they
did to a top ten fraud Illinois this past weekend.
I hear you people remember shit like that.
Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
No, I get they do, but that is actually with Illinois.
They do this every year one and they're well coached.
Speaker 4 (01:25:55):
You know it, I know it. But the average person
out there who's on committees and everything, you know what
they see. Oh my gosh, they just beat a top
ten opponent by seventy points.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
But what's more exciting that? Or Okay, this young freshman
quarterback with all this height, his team's been good enough
all year to get in the playoff. Let's just stick
them in there and see what happens. They're a big brand.
They're gonna make us a lot of money in prime time.
Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
I think that.
Speaker 2 (01:26:21):
I think that if it's against Indiana, I think they
for sure getting I do not.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
I will not believe that a nine and three team
gets in until it happens. I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
I don't that's fair.
Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
I don't. I don't believe it. I think this.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
I think that's fair, but it'll probably it's gonna happen, though,
it is going to happen.
Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
But I think right there.
Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
I can't sweat you for thinking that way just in
this conference.
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
Alone, or or can I say this? Can I say this?
Speaker 5 (01:26:48):
What if the SEC has a shitload of teams.
Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
Not as different? If the SEC enters the chat with, hey,
we got a fifteen that might can surpass that fourth
Big ten team, that's a different for scenario. But once again,
it depends on which SEC team you're talking about. Like
so that it just I think we just got to
get to the end of the year and see what
that looks like.
Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
All right, So uh, just for just for you and
I JB, I want to see if your thoughts and
and KG obviously you're more than welcome to join us.
Michigan State at Nebraska, I thought loss all around. I'm
not I'm not changing my mind.
Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
That's what y'all can win that that's crazy, that's just me.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
Hosting U C l A. I like that.
Speaker 5 (01:27:36):
At Indiana Nope, Michigan at home Nope. At Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Yosha, saw, come on, Yosha with that's your sixth win
right there.
Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
Penn State, No. No, at Iowa, Iowa.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
Even if they're not good, they gonna play your tough.
That's why I yeah, they're just something about do you
is it?
Speaker 4 (01:28:02):
No? Yes, yeah, yeah, y'all y'all here for if the
farence happens. And then of course the game in ford
Field against Maryland.
Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
I think that seven wins, I think.
Speaker 5 (01:28:14):
I think the exact same. You have to win that
game to get the ball.
Speaker 6 (01:28:19):
Yeah, new eras pins, right, bowl, let's go that that
Nebraska game.
Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
Just as crucial as that Nebraska game was for us,
it might be just as crucial for y'all to y'all
win that Nebraska game. Y'all are on your way to
way playoff.
Speaker 4 (01:28:31):
I can't believe.
Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
I mean not a playoff, but a ball game.
Speaker 4 (01:28:33):
So I can't believe that we're back at this point.
I can't like. It's it's pre Dantonio era.
Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
Sean. If you get to seven, you might get the
pop tar, you might get the pop t.
Speaker 4 (01:28:45):
I would love to jo's off while you jump. I'd
rather have the boo boot cocky all over me.
Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Oh god, how please don't say that coming?
Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
Hey where did Sean?
Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
It's all the way down, Holy shit.
Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
I don't care. I just want to go to bull game.
I want to take my daughter.
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
I would rather have that all over I'm sorry that
five in the morning. That is crazy work.
Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
Hey we're late again. You're never gonna believe it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:24):
Oh wow, unbelievably so.
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
So we'll talk about the lives a little bit more
coming back, of course, Jp'll let you know what's trying
to JP. Where are we going?
Speaker 6 (01:29:33):
We gotta hear from the massage sharehouse and then Fantasy Jerks.
For first, let me clear up the super chest. Shout
out to everyone sending them in as four ninety nine
from penny Wise, she said, what subscriptions do we need
for the Lions game tonight? Do y'all know I'm sick
of this ship?
Speaker 2 (01:29:49):
Just ESPN man, So hopefully you either got kboard or
ESPN Plus. Can you watch it on ESPN Plus.
Speaker 6 (01:29:55):
I'm sure you can.
Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
I'm sure you can't, but yeah, just have ESPN penny
Wise right right, beat beat KG That that scene as
a kid, that scene where he came about the shower,
that ship on him all years.
Speaker 4 (01:30:09):
Man, they all float.
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
I still look at the shower drain to this day
a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:30:13):
I don't like looking at the sewers.
Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:30:15):
Yeah, if you have a balloon near a sewer, my asses, elbows.
Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
And ass right on, try to tell you.
Speaker 6 (01:30:23):
I will be on the other side in five dollars
from burn. He sends in. He said, put hands on Lamar,
knock him down. Don't tell me about contained or beating
us with his arm. You beat Lamar by putting him
in the ground.
Speaker 2 (01:30:36):
Good luck with that, though, that's the problem. Good luck
with that.
Speaker 4 (01:30:40):
I love the idea.
Speaker 2 (01:30:41):
Twenty four NFC teams have tried at twenty four half failed.
Speaker 5 (01:30:44):
He is such a six stat though, like all jokes aside, it's.
Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
Like the WrestleMania Street the undertaking. Holy shit, but no,
you got it. But the NFC isn't used to having
a quarterback of that light skill set, Like, think about it,
what we have the closest Jalen hurts.
Speaker 5 (01:31:03):
Yeah, we are seeing that.
Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
So when you're not used to seeing that, it gets
you by surprise every time.
Speaker 6 (01:31:11):
Y's tough, All right, anything else?
Speaker 4 (01:31:14):
JB Nope.
Speaker 6 (01:31:15):
That said, let's hear from the massage chair house and
then fantasy jerors and you see jeers.
Speaker 2 (01:31:19):

Speaker 4 (01:35:45):
I feel like I wasn't in on the joke because
as we were coming back from the break, both JB
and KG were giggling something that Mike G said.
Speaker 2 (01:35:54):
By dog Mike G Man, But I'll let JB clear
up the super chests if he has to do that.
You want a dog by g always with what I
can clear them up right now if you want to.
Speaker 6 (01:36:04):
Once again, a shout out to everyone sitting in super chest.
Charles McLain sends it, thank you. He's here's a thought.
What if Michigan beats os U and both teams are
ten and two, who gets in the playoffs both both
of them?
Speaker 2 (01:36:17):
No way, and then they probably played the first round,
both of them.
Speaker 5 (01:36:21):
I am going to stand by and I think we
learned it last year.
Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
Okay. I think a lot of people were It was like, Oprah,
you're going to the playoff, You're going to the playoff.
I think you're forgetting what they have to do with
the SEC. I think what you're you're forgetting what they
have to do with some of the brands and other conferences.
I'll be stunned when a night and three team happens.
Speaker 2 (01:36:41):
I think it is gonna happen. Think it might happen
this year. Sean, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (01:36:46):
Buying him, especially in this conference. I just don't see
where multiple teams get three losses. I don't see it.
I don't I don't see, and I think that's what
would fuck the team that did get three losses, Michigan.
Speaker 2 (01:37:01):
It would have to be more than one. To your point,
it would definitely have to be more than one.
Speaker 6 (01:37:06):
And the super check and B and KG were laughing
about four ninety nine from Mike G speaking of Seamen
KG JB. When you're spicy with your lady friend, do
you hit it from the bow or the stern?
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Go blue?
Speaker 6 (01:37:20):
By the way, I'm not big on the I'm not
a voting fishing out on.
Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Yeah, I don't know which one in which I assume
the bow is the front and the stern is the back.
And if we're talking lady friends, you would you would
say my wife because shout out to my wife. Shy
at home, I lady baby. No, I I like a
little bit of both.
Speaker 1 (01:37:40):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:37:41):
Variety is the spice of life. So I might start
at the stern and end up at the bow. It
just all depends on where the night takes us. Man.
Speaker 6 (01:37:47):
You know, like I said, I'm not the voting person
to know this, but you know I like a little
spice too, So you got to mix it up.
Speaker 4 (01:37:53):
Now, how would I?
Speaker 5 (01:37:54):
How would I? How might using this ship?
Speaker 4 (01:37:58):
Sometimes I like to be under the boat. Does that
make sense?
Speaker 8 (01:38:01):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
I hear about It's like I'm sinking to the bottom
of the seat.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
You like to be the anchor?
Speaker 4 (01:38:06):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
Like yeah, No, Sometimes you got to anchor that ship out.
Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:38:15):
All I know is I'm the captain of the ship
at the time, I'm Cathy, I'm Captain Jack around this month,
skipper hat I stream in different ways.
Speaker 5 (01:38:32):
Can I ask you guys something? And I'm being serious
when I see this?
Speaker 4 (01:38:37):
All right? What is what is the infatuation with what
lion jersey? Are the Lions wearing tonight? Tonight?
Speaker 10 (01:38:45):
You like it?
Speaker 5 (01:38:46):
Do you really?
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:38:48):
You look good, feel good, play good man and the Lions?
Speaker 5 (01:38:51):
Does it matter to you?
Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
I mean the Lions. If you look at the Lions
record in the quote quote blueberries that they've brought out,
it's pretty damn good. And and you know they're a
good role team. I like the I like the clean
cut white look on the jerseys. Man, you'll like it.
Speaker 5 (01:39:06):
Does it matter to you? I'm being fun, I'm not
I'm being one hundred percent serious.
Speaker 4 (01:39:10):
Does it matter to you a little bit? So Like
let's say let's say tonight they they didn't go with
the blueberries. They they think pick up any like would
you go, oh, man, I wish they were going the blueberries.
Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
I do that for a second, but it isn't not
gonna ruin my night or nothing?
Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
All right, It's really it's really weird. And I get it.
This is part of what happens when you are the team,
and especially with a franchise like this where we've been
waiting for something like this for a long long time.
But like the the reaction when they announce what what
jersey they're wearing, I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 5 (01:39:47):
I kind of I kind of giggle, and I feel
like the old dude.
Speaker 4 (01:39:50):
It's like, what I hear you? Really?
Speaker 12 (01:39:53):
What?
Speaker 4 (01:39:54):
Well? I mean, does that matter?
Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
You didn't have such good looking jerseys back in your
day when the Lion sucks, So you know, all good?
Now that the liars are good, we actually have good
looking apparel as well. And I heard they have a
new jersey plan for next year as well. I'm looking
forward to that.
Speaker 4 (01:40:07):
But I told you, like I openly admitted, Okay, I
openly admit it. I cannot stand the black jersey because
it legitimately reminds me of a millet. Out of that
I can't got to get out of. Well, you know
what I need to do. I need to talk to
a therapist. Yeah, for sure, I need I need to
(01:40:28):
Like I cannot so I guess I have to correct myself.
If I see they're wearing the black.
Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
Jerseys, it's this, yeah, Jesus, because one those black jerseys
that they have right now today fucking phenomenal, one of
the best jerseys in the whole league. That blue on
black helmets, they come on. That shit is outrageous. But
I understand y'all got to get over that. It is
the same argument that I have as a Pistons fan
that loves the teal and loves the horse logo. That
(01:40:55):
was by far the best jersey in my opinion, that
the Pistons have had. And listen, I know the championships red, white,
and blue. I get it, y'all, but for me, for me,
y'all wouldn't equate the TiAl to be so bad if
they it wasn't so much losing going on. It's the
same thing with the Lions Black. It came at a
time where we were fucking abysmo and we went on
(01:41:17):
sixteen with the black jerseys. I get it. But it's
a new day and y'all should. Y'all should pay more
respect to the black jersey.
Speaker 4 (01:41:25):
I do. I do love the white jersey, silver pant combo,
I do and and the blue pant combo like it's
but I you know, at the same time, I mean,
what if Michigan rolled out at home and they're whites,
you guys would rightfully lose your mind, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:41:42):
Yeah, depends on where we're going.
Speaker 4 (01:41:44):
But yeah, I hear, and I know it is. It's weird.
Speaker 5 (01:41:50):
I mean with the Lions, I guess, I just I
don't let.
Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
People like that shit. And not not to say the
fan base of being uproar if they decide to wear
the white jerseys over the blues or the black.
Speaker 5 (01:42:00):
But didn't they think that it's the whites, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:42:03):
And that's their normal away jersey. Yeah, is the white
So yeah, I'm not mad at it at all. But
it's a crispy jersey.
Speaker 4 (01:42:08):
Shit, do you like the all white?
Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
I love all iterations of the jersey. When they first
brought them out, the newer, you know, rendition of them,
the blue ones kind of didn't get me at first.
But I love the blues now, especially with the old
school like silver on the on the shoulder. I think
it's clean.
Speaker 5 (01:42:25):
I love the silver.
Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
Yeah, I just gotta have the silver.
Speaker 4 (01:42:28):
No, I'm with you, all right, So Ravens favored by
four and a half. Uh. If you ask me right now,
I still think the Ravens are gonna win this game.
I don't think they're gonna kick their ass or anything
like that. I think the Ravens are If you check
back with me by eight o'clock tonight, I know what
a slap dick I am.
Speaker 5 (01:42:46):
I know I'm gonna be saying the lines I know
I am. That's that's how I operate.
Speaker 2 (01:42:51):
That's you waiting until the night. I'm on the fence
right now.
Speaker 4 (01:42:54):
You know, I gotta take a nap today because I
had the late night staying up and watching that garbage
on Saturday. I think after I wake up from the nap,
about three o'clock in the afternoon, I'm gonna be saying
Lions thirty four, Ravens thirty one, some crap like that.
I let me put it. I wouldn't be shocked if
(01:43:15):
the Lions won this game. I wouldn't be like I
wouldn't be shocked. But right now, KG and like, you
have to do your job. I think the Ravens win.
Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
You're right. I do have to do my job, but
I'm gonna do it poorly. I think I'm flipping. I
think I'm flipping. I'm gonna do it for the squad, bro.
Speaker 4 (01:43:34):
Why not us?
Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
God damn it, why not the Lions?
Speaker 4 (01:43:37):
Bro?
Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
I'm going with my team. Originally I said twenty seven
to twenty four Ravens, I'm flipping that twenty seven to
twenty four Lions forward down. Oh you know I got you.
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
You knew what but I was going to?
Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
You knew what button I was going to when I
said that. Sean, come on, man, everybody at home for
work down the few talking team.
Speaker 5 (01:43:59):
Did you see he's got a new commercial?
Speaker 1 (01:44:01):
He did?
Speaker 4 (01:44:02):
You shout out along? He started? He starts singing the
song yeah, and immediately and all like.
Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
This, shout out the yo.
Speaker 4 (01:44:11):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
I hope to hear this a lot tonight. And that's
all you can hope for. Listen, love the song or
hate the song. You want to hear this ship a
lot tonight because that means the line.
Speaker 4 (01:44:20):
Is, where are you you ready to go? Slide? Pick? Yet?
I think I am.
Speaker 6 (01:44:25):
I think like Week three has just been wild crazy,
But we three has been wild and crazy as it is,
So you know what what better way than the campball?
Speaker 3 (01:44:38):
You know?
Speaker 6 (01:44:39):
The following week grave with Thelion's victory and he crazes
way possible over the Ravens raw R.
Speaker 5 (01:44:47):

Speaker 6 (01:45:15):

Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
You know what it's gotta be. That's why I said
twenty seven to twenty four. Jake bas gotta get revenge
for twenty twenty one.
Speaker 4 (01:45:23):
Full nudity.
Speaker 5 (01:45:24):
I am in my backyard and it's just full nudity.
Speaker 2 (01:45:28):
No, he gotta get that from massage boy that went
out there and beat us with a sixty seven fucking
yard kid, Like, where do they do that at? Like
I was just like, man, those massages were keeping him loose.
Speaker 4 (01:45:39):
I'll tell you, you know, a little tugging and rub
and it's amazing what your lady can do after that, right,

Speaker 6 (01:52:35):
How it started?
Speaker 2 (01:52:36):

Speaker 6 (01:52:37):
But just someone was going too hard on the machine.
Speaker 4 (01:52:39):

Speaker 6 (01:53:01):
The video was about a little bit of justice right
there at the end. And finally I will end what's
training with this because I don't know if this was
played last night and watching the Casey and the Giants game,
but they had the little Doctor Pepper throw off in
the end zone. All right, you're throwing into the little
trash can or whatever. And I don't know about you guys,
but Chris Collinsworth has got to chill out.
Speaker 1 (01:53:20):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:53:21):
I can't stand.
Speaker 8 (01:53:23):
I was boy, you wouldn't do then he just threw
it in the other guy's hole.
Speaker 6 (01:53:30):
He during last night. But yeah, Chris Collinsworth has got
to chill about this.
Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
Yeah there there his voice just gets me. I get it.
I know my voice ain't the ain't the best.
Speaker 4 (01:53:47):
I got it.
Speaker 5 (01:53:48):
No, I same thing.
Speaker 4 (01:53:50):
I keep waiting for Uber Cadence. His just everything.
Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
I just never have liked Chris.
Speaker 6 (01:53:56):
This was the most exciting thing about the game last night.
Speaker 5 (01:53:59):
Listen, you didn't miss a damn thing if you didn't
stay up and watch that.
Speaker 4 (01:54:04):
That game was that finch?
Speaker 5 (01:54:07):
That first half was atrocious?
Speaker 4 (01:54:10):
How bad was it?
Speaker 5 (01:54:11):
True story?
Speaker 4 (01:54:12):
JB? You were watching Mike Tarico even commented and how
bad it was before halftime.
Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Damn.
Speaker 2 (01:54:18):
They even got Mike.
Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
Literally throwing it and thus ends what was really not
a good He is the most professional of professional, great guy,
but at some point in time, you you can't do
the propaganda stuff. Man. You gotta call it for what
it is.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
You know it's pretty bad.
