Hey, that sucked, no other way to say it. Hey, guys,
remember a couple of weeks ago when I got a
shit I got shipped from a lot of you guys,
when I said maybe we should be scared of the packers.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Remember that.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I'm not paying myself on the back. I feel like crap.
That was garbage. All right, listen, all right, you guys
tell me if I'm wrong. Okay, and this is one
thousand percent hindsight is twenty twenty.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Okay, guys are all.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Here, Hi, j I'm asked, good morning body, this is
this is one Hindsight is twenty twenty. Didn't we all
agree that this team this is a marathon, right, and
it's still a marathon. Okay, And I'm not jumped off
the deep end. I'm not jumping off no damn bandwagon.
I know a lot of you are. By the way,
(02:04):
I also want to cordially welcome this morning into the chat.
All the Packer fans and all the Viking fans and
all the Bear fans welcome.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Have at it. You can today.
Speaker 6 (02:15):
They get their shot tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yep. Didn't we know that this was going to be
adjustment this year with the line with coordinators.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
Just stop with the line. That's why you gotta stop with.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
Stop.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Sorry, this is one thing I have said. You can
crucify me for a lot of things, Okay, and I'm
sure I'll probably hear from you guys this morning about
some of the things that came out of my pipe hole.
The one thing that you cannot crucify me for from
the second that had happened.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
You do not.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Replace one of the best centers in the game.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yeah, you don't, not this quickly.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Nope, don't don't happen, don't work. Sorry, Oh, don't worry.
We'll just plug this guy, plug that. No, no, no, no, no,
you're talking about one of the best players in the game. Now.
I will remind people last year Philly had to replace
Kelsey and early on if you remember, they were two
and two, they got hammered by Tampa.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
They lost the game to Atlanta there was a period
of adjustment. They hit the bye week, they lost one
game the rest of the way.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Gianni almost got fired.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yes, remember all that. Yeah, guys, that was ugly. There's
no other way to say that. There are not a
lot of All Right, you know what I'm gonna try
to do. I'm gonna do something different. Okay, I'm gonna
ask the guys in the room, all right, what's a
positive you take out of yesterday? Kg?
Speaker 5 (03:34):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (03:34):
There will be other games. Bravo, kg, thank you, bravo. Hey,
Teslam made a nice catch. Huh.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Yeah, white obj Man.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Maybe maybe maybe it's white boy fault. Do you ever
think about that?
Speaker 5 (03:51):
It might be white boy.
Speaker 6 (03:55):
The first time I saw him all day and again,
I was kind of like in a fog. We were
at second best. Barriers did a great job, great fans there,
great spot and Barry Sanders Junior joined us. Yeah, Barry
Sanders and his entourage joined us for quite a bit.
It was nice to meet him. Did a nice job.
(04:16):
But I was in the clouds yesterday, I really was.
I couldn't believe what I was watching. Listen man Graham
Glasgow is a good ballplayer, but he's not like a
starting center at this point in his career. And I
know it's early. Actually to me, it's not that early.
You're playing two division games and then you got Baltimore
(04:39):
and you know what happened with Baltimore last night. They're
gonna be pissed. Man. I would look for the Bears
what they do tonight, but I'd like to redo my
thirteen or fourteen wins yet I am.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
You know, get to thirteen wins.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
You got to listen to me, Yeah you should.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I got twelve and five and I'm sticking to it.
I had them, I had them losing your Green Bay,
if you remember I did. I had them losing, not
this one, right, So you'll swap it now now I'm
gonna swap yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
Okay, did you see how it's.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Such a homer?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yes, I admit it. Are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (05:16):
You see how Green Bay looked yesterday? They looked like
the team that everyone picked to win that division. They are,
you know, the they're the heavy favorites now in NFC.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
You know what the crazy thing is. Let's let's let's
be honest. Okay. The green Bay offense wasn't exactly prolific.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
First half was good. Second half the line's defense stood up?
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Can can I can I read? Can I read the numbers?
Because I know you said you weren't a fog and
I think a lot of people out there probably just said,
we'll screw this.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
I didn't watch the Sunday night came. That's how foggy
I really.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I fell asleep, and you know, I love my Joshi,
I love my my My son kind of pushed me
and he was like, damn, Josh Allen did it. And
I'm like what because I was watching that game and
there was no stopping Baltimore. Like, there was no stopping Baltimore.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
They were up, they were up fifteen with four minutes
to go. Yeah, ninety nine percent chance of winning that game.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
It was like twenty something to forty what before I
went to sleep and I woke up into Bills one.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah, that's that's exactly like my kid like literally woke
me up. He goes, Dad, Josh Allen's doing, Josh Allen things.
Speaker 7 (06:18):
You missed one hell of a game, I know.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Jordan Love was sixteen to twenty two for a buck
eighty eight.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Yeah, most of it in the first half.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Josh Jacobs nineteen for sixty six three and a half
yards of pop better than us, and they smoked us.
Yeah they I mean you guys, let's let's call that
what it was.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
They barely had over two hundred and fifty yards of
total off.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Right, we had two forty six. That is so depressive,
all garb.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
But at the end of the end of the game.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Can I say this again? And this is a conversation
that I've had with a few people around here. Okay,
all right, And I've always felt that this was a
strong man argument by people. Okay, how many times have
you heard some variation of this conversation? Ready, no quarterback
likes pressure, Okay, I started out with, Okay, Jared Goff
(07:10):
doesn't like pressure. Okay, Well, no quarterback likes crushure pressure,
to which I every time reply, quarterbacks deal with it
in different ways. And Jared Goff that pressure up the
middle exactly where the soft spot is. Right now, Let's
be honest. When you've got a rookie and you've got
a guy like Graham Glasgow trying to control that middle,
(07:31):
I think we saw that yesterday.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Yeah, I think I think we saw Ricky's got blown
up multiple occasions. I would say Mahogany a little bit
more than tape, but both of them really just were
not good yesterday. And Graham Glasgow you can add to
that mix. The offensive line as a whole just did
not perform so well because on the edges when they
were bringing pressure, Panay got beat by Parsons on a
(07:53):
play like it was. It was bad all the way
around it.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
I thought the Packers were brilliant. Neil and I talked
about it yesterday on the pregame show. By the way,
shout out to all you guys. I mean, we had
so many people in there, it was so much fun.
But Neil asked me for you know, what is the
matchup of the day and I said, undoubtedly, unquestionably, it
is what that front four for the Packers are going
to do. Because you know they were going to move
(08:18):
them around. So when they moved them around a little bit,
that was no surprise. But what they're going to do
against the interior of that line and they made life miserable.
Did you see that stat that Jamir Gibbs that that
was an NFL record ten receptions for the least amount
of yards ever, Wow.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Like Jamier Gibbs played yesterday, I didn't notice. I saw
some guy running around with a zero jersey.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Ten receptions for thirty one yards.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Geez.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Nine carries for nineteen yards. That's two point one a pop.
David Montgomery eleven carries for twenty five yards two point three.
Jared Goff was efficient as always, thirty one of thirty.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
Nine under the rest, the whole day under.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Durest the whole day, two hundred and twenty five yards,
the touchdown in an interception.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
And to his credit, he tried his best at times
to step up in the pocket because you know, he's
not gonna outrun the.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Pressure, so he tried his best to step up in
the pocket.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
He did make a couple throws that way, but ultimately
it got him sacked a lot. It was nine QB
hits on Jarrett Goff as opposed to our defense barely
touching Jordan Love the whole day.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
We it looked like checkdown offense. And it's just a reminder.
I know nobody likes to talk about it, and everybody
wants to talk about the shiny things. Right, Well, we've
got this and we've got that, and we've got this
and we've got that. It's just a reminder what wins
in the National Football League, and it's playing the trenches
and the Lions are far far away, far far away.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
There's no other dominated to say that.
Speaker 6 (09:49):
Can they trade for Zeitler?
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Did you see I put that? I put that tweet
out last night? Hey Frank, I hope everything's going well.
If he caught some big fish, you spend some time
with your family.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
Keep calling a couple more weeks, enjoy it.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
What do you got going on next Sunday, next night?
Speaker 7 (10:07):
To save us?
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Man, I'm telling you that.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
I hope you're right. I don't think he is. I
hope you're right. I'll be the first guy to say
thank you, man, Hey you, I'll be the first guy.
I think you're talking about a human. And I know
a lot of people wanted to make it about the money.
Maybe it is. I'm not saying you're wrong. Maybe it
is he wanted a raise, and you know, blah blah blah.
That man is beat to shit. He like, legitimately. I
(10:33):
don't think people understand he is. He was talking about
it three years ago. He was like, legitimately, KG, if
he wanted to be.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Here, he would be here. Guess what he would be here?
Speaker 6 (10:44):
Let's get him down. Let's get him some new toes
I do. Let's get doctor Pierce Michigan Sports and Spine.
They could do something for him.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Obviously, your opportunity react. We'd love to hear from you
in the chat. How much of a concern is this.
I can't be that guy that loses my mind after
one game. If if we see a lot of these
same things next Monday, Okay, we have to have a
very serious I'm not gonna do it today. I can't.
(11:15):
I can't just just for my own sanity. You guys
are more than welcome to do what you want to do.
Jump in the chat. Obviously, you guys got the super
chat option. You guys can go to the front of
the line.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
But Sean were gonna throw the suicide hot lineup too,
because yes, a lot of fans on the other.
Speaker 6 (11:30):
Side today something. Let me let me say something. Yes
I said it yesterday on Twitter, but I'll verbalize it.
That was the worst game I've seen them play under
Dan Campbell. And yeah, I'm including the Baily Zappi hour
and the Ravens when they ran us off the field.
I'm including those. Yesterday was the worst game I have
seen this team, which is now healthy, play that was awful.
(11:56):
They were never in that game. Sure, it would have
been great if Angeloni would have had that pick. It
would have been great if Branch's interception counted, but it didn't.
It would have been great if Terry and Arnold was
able to stay in the game. Now he's got a
groin injury, it would have been great. And if they
really did know that Frank Ragnow was going to retire,
(12:17):
Because if they really did know that Ragnow was going
to retire, Terry and Arnold wouldn't have been the number
one pick in Detroit a couple of years ago, and
Zeitler would not have been let go to the Titans
for a couple extra dollars because him and his wife,
remember they stepped out on Twitter on Instagram, we love
it here in Detroit. We want to stay here in Detroit.
(12:39):
And they were very disappointed when Brad Holmes did not
come to the table with enough. Monday, they went to Tennessee,
the worst team in the league. Sure, maybe you like
living in a hundred degree heat. My daughter works for
the Titans. She'd rather be here. I could promise you that.
But if they really did know that rag now was
going to retire. I don't see what they have now.
(13:02):
Zeichler would have been here and maybe you would have
drafted a center a year earlier than Ratledge, and I
believe you'll see Ratledge within three weeks as the starting center.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
You know.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Let me let me see this, man, because I think
there's more validity to what you're saying than people want
to let on, because I think when you look back
at the first couple of years of the Lions, if
you didn't have the talent that the Lions half now correct.
Do you know what game jumped out to me? Because
I saw somebody else say that yesterday. And I don't
know if you guys even remember this when they got
(13:35):
absolutely throut of it. There's no the Patriots. Do you
remember the Patriots? Y? Yeah, yeah, that was the one
when they beat us twenty nine to nothing. And it
was just that game was and I gotta be honest
with you, I called myself out. Okay. That was one
time where I said, Okay, I don't think this is
gonna work. Yeah, Like, because we were we were over
(13:55):
a year and a half in now and and all
that chatter of when Dan started and remember, oh, it's
a circus hour. Like I remember, that was the first
time I kind of went, Okay, maybe this isn't gonna work.
Maybe maybe maybe that, but it is. It's it's the
Zappi hour that That game was awful, but.
Speaker 6 (14:14):
They weren't that team.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
You guess you got it.
Speaker 6 (14:18):
They blossomed after that, if you remember, they blossomed and
became the Lions. The brand new Lions that we have.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Now took us a couple more weeks.
Speaker 6 (14:26):
Listen, man, you had a healthy team yesterday, you got
run off the field. You had a three play drive
against you in the second quarter. I was, I was like,
what three plays to go eighty yards? Come on, man?
That was ugly, ugly, no pass rush and no protection
(14:47):
for your guys. No running.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Also, can I can I say this we run the ball?
Speaker 6 (14:51):
Would we run thirty nine yards as a team?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I know, I got some shit for Micah Parsons is
pretty good.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
He's damn good. And they made the right move.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
He's pretty good. Yeah, he's I mean, he was clearly hurt.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
I mean all one bet.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
He had eleven plays, eleven snaps in the first half
out of but thirty three and and he made his impact. No,
that's you know what, let's not be what we detest.
How many times have we throttled somebody where somebody talked
about what they didn't do as opposed to what we
(15:27):
did to them. The Packers took it to us. That's
what happened yesterday, guys. Gosh damn. And you know, just
as I'm talking about I get to see the gosh
damn ship highlights up on.
Speaker 8 (15:39):
The there goes a hat throw right at the TV earliest,
so the earliest hat throw of the of the year
so far.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
God, I think he topped it once four minutes into
the show.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
We got to have throw.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
But I thought I was watching Michigan Oklahoma yesterday.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
You know those games were very similar.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Guys, because I had a bunch of my I was
watching another game. I think JB was watching the game
that I was watching.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
Yeah, at the same time.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
I can't do it, Like honestly, I like, I think
my mind's too simple, you know, like my buddies is
just like oh, I like it's like no, like I
had school over here, did you really?
Speaker 6 (16:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (16:18):
My I forgot the Tigers even exist.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Did by the way, very good? Did Chris Feeder run
out of his magic pixie dust. Is there any way
we can get Chris Fetter some more magic pix?
Speaker 6 (16:30):
They win a game in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Their pitching staff is ass it really is.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
And it's schoolbul three rain outs and schooble again.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
All right, so let's get to it. We're gonna play
a lot of sound. We're gonna get comments from you
as well. I ugly ugly, ugly ugly Packer fan, have
at it.
Speaker 9 (16:50):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
I heard from some Packer fans last night. They were
pretty respectable. And and I'm gonna remember that. I'm gonna
not that I've ever crapped on them, but I'm gonna.
I'm yeah, I'm gonna remember you.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
Remember last year's opening game? Does anyone remember it?
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (17:05):
That that's not the same team I saw yesterday when
they beat the Rams. I know he were home, and
then the next game they later throw again. Right now,
what's the difference? You know what the difference is?
Speaker 5 (17:20):
You know it?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Your interior line line, Your interior line, no doubt about that.
All right, JB, where are we going?
Speaker 7 (17:27):
Oh we need to hear from mad Pass. But there
are a few super chests that we got a clear
up shout out to everyone saying you four from Sergeant
Curtis show Star Wars box. Uh, that's ESPN just said
there is no doubt in green Bay is the king
of the North.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
How do I argue with that? Right now? Today?
Speaker 5 (17:48):
How do I do that?
Speaker 3 (17:50):
I think the Lions win this division.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
That's all I got do I have to apologize that,
Devin Hester, what do you want?
Speaker 5 (17:55):
No, man, that's going way too We're not doing that. That's
going way too far. I don't know changing win totals
after a week doing We're not doing that.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
I think we're gonna go twelve and five and win
the division.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
I do, yep.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
But if somebody said to me I think the Packers
are the kings of North, I gotta shut my mouth
right now.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
They played better than I thought they have, at least
through one week, answer some questions that I had about them.
So just say, damn.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
We got two dollars from Mike Wiletty. He's saying, shout
out one hundred lights for showing to sing grid Iron Heroes.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Please plight have to today.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
No, no, there's no grid Iron.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Heroes today, No not. Can we do it tomorrow?
Speaker 6 (18:37):
Right hey, Jake ba, this is what we do.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Here forward down the field, we get our ass whood.
I'm just saying you want to hear that song? You do,
just saying I need that ship in my veins. Twelve
times a Sunday.
Speaker 7 (18:52):
Please, twelve times a Sunday. And finally one more from
burn He sends in two dollars, he said Isaac Tesla. Though, Yeah,
I'm just saying, yeah, that catches Ob James.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
You guys serious. I didn't. I didn't think he came
down with it. And then when they showed that other replay,
you're right, he'll you freak. Yeah, you absolute freak with that.
Speaker 5 (19:13):
Back heel got it down.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
Hey, I believed in your test. I know you caught that.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
All right, let's hear from Mad Packs and then we'll
fire it up more from you guys this morning. A
lot of sound as well. It is a depressing Monday,

a medium, right, it's like that big. And the best
part is.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
My wife doesn't like the salon.
Speaker 6 (23:15):
Is that great?
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Give me all that salami? Oh yeah, give me all
that salic with my BBS pizza.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Give me all that salami. The good news is it's over.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
This mass is not over.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
No, Sunday's game was over. That's the good news.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Can you believe people thought that we were gonna let
Jamo walk away. It's kind of funny now when you
think about it, right, that was a real am I
I'm not exaggerating.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Right, No, get me started. Answer said something on the
post game show that that flipped my fucking stomach. Head
go uh, Jameo Valdez scantling is pretty much what we
came away with. Oh come on now, yeah, that's where
we're at.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
Nobody was open yesterday, nobody. Saint Brown had the hell
of a first. I mean, he tried to carry that team. Jmo,
couple good catches. Put his head down. I don't want
them to see him doing that anymore. Just get down.
But yeah, congrats to him making a twenty seven million year.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
I can I also say this, though, I'm glad that
you brought that up. You knew that's.
Speaker 11 (24:18):
Where Jared Goff was looking. Yep, I knew that's where
Jared Goff was looking. Most importantly, as that game went on,
the Green Bay Packers knew that's where Jared Goff is looking.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
And normally you can't stop that, but when Jared Goff
is under dress all day, it makes it that much
harder to get the ball to your receiver. Thank you,
and I'm gonna say it again, you guys.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Okay, I I confess my sins about Jared Goff. Okay,
but I can't tell you how many times, with a
few people here, I had that straw man argument. Well,
nobody likes pressure, yes, but some quarterbacks handle it better.
Jared Goff is not one of them. That does not
mean I want to get rid of him. That does
(24:57):
not mean I've gone south on him. That none of
that stuff that people somehow, how did we get there?
How do we get to that? What you just said
is a factual statement. Yeah, it's undeniable. I don't know
how anybody could argue that point. So we got it.
We gotta find a way to better protect that guy.
Got to it is imperative. It is imperative because if
we don't, if we don't, then all those things that
(25:19):
worry maz is talking about are gonna come to fruition.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
Yeah, Devin Hester will be right. We don't want that.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
I can't imagine them finishing note, yeah, last, we're not
doing that. If anything, this Lion's team has earned over
these last few years, this is the benefit of the doubts.
Speaker 6 (25:35):
But they didn't look like a team that had any swagger.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Understandably so. But the last time they went a game
without scoring a touchdown we looked it up during the
show was the Buccaneers game in twenty twenty three where
they finished twenty to six. This was twenty twenty three
where they went to the NFC Championship. They've had duds
like this along the way. Unfortunately, we remember the Seahawks
right how bad we wanted to beat them and still
couldn't get it done.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
This team forty points up though, I understand.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah, but that was Geno Mahomes. Okay, you know do
you know what through for three sixty Yet you don't
try to stop Geno Mahomes. Okay, you only hope to
contain him. Carol Man, that guy lit us up. I
mean you can go look that up. Yeah he did.
He lit us up. Uh Dan Campbell on the loss yesterday.
(26:23):
Ye sorry, I probably screwed JB Up and I'm gonna
apologize animatetly for you.
Speaker 7 (26:31):
You're good I was looking at the supertat I got,
here's the DC on a loss.
Speaker 9 (26:35):
No, look, that team played well, you know, uh, credit
to them. Coached four and they came out and they
played outstanding, and we didn't play good enough. We didn't
coach good enough, including me, and then we didn't play
good enough. So, like I told the team, it's it's tough,
you know, to go in and and not certainly played
(26:57):
close to your best game. And you know, you hate
starting to season out with a loss. And as bad
as that is, it's not what it appears to be.
So it's like I told them, let's clean up the tape.
You know, we made some critical errors at the worst
time as possible, and you don't do those, you know,
(27:18):
you take those out of the equation, and it's it
looks different, you know, it's you feel like it's going
to be a totally different scenario. But we did make
those critical errors at the worst time. So man, we're
going to learn from it. We'll clean it up. It
gives us a little broader where we're at game one,
and that's okay. You know, it's always about improving no
(27:38):
matter what.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
Go up from here.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
Man, you don't get a worse than this.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I think Dan is speaking from the heart as he
is apt to do, and KG, I agree with what
you just said. If anybody deserves its benefit of the doubt,
it's that guy no in this.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Team like that. And I put more yesterday on the
players than the actual coordinator situation, because you know we're
gonna get into that everybody, all the worst coordinators in
the world, relax. But the players had no effort yesterday
and that was what concerned me. Like it started off
early with the penalties they got in their own heads,
the Packers began to score, and you can see it
(28:16):
in the body language of the Lions players. They felt
absolutely dejected. And there's not too many times where you're
just gonna see the Lions put forth no effort. So
going forward, that is something very very correctable, and Dan
Campbell even say said it later on in his press
conference that a lot of the things that happen are
are things that they can clean up. These are mistakes
that they can fix. And I do believe that because
(28:39):
they have an elite roster. We know they have an
elite roster, and I hold them to a different standard.
So yes, they got their ass whoop yesterday. But I
expect them to come out and at a bare minimum
next week. You're going to get maximum effort from this
Detroit Lions team.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
I see what you did there.
Speaker 5 (28:53):
Bare minimum, at a bare minimum.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
You will get maximum effort. Good, good call. You know what?
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Did you know?
Speaker 3 (29:00):
What? The thing is? Okay? With? With a performance like yesterday,
the door is wide open for people to chastise Brad Holmes.
We're how many times did you see We're good yesterday?
Speaker 5 (29:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
I legitimately should have counted how many times we saw
were good.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
I'm sick of talking about a guy that is not here,
Like I get it, y'all. But hey, the season done
kicked off. He ain't here. Let it go.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
The the reality of the situation is you guys. And
I'm sorry. I said this to Broader and Terry a
hundred times when we were doing the show in the
spring and summer, and I think we talked about it here.
We're gonna have a miserable regular season in regards to
fan interaction. We are, and I hope we're all ready
for it. Okay, because again, nobody expected them to go
(29:44):
fifteen into this year. Nobody, even the slappiest of the slaps.
Nobody expected fifteen and two. So how many times are
we gonna hear during the course of this year? Okay,
even after wins, right, it wasn't that it wasn't that
impressive all this This is a twelve win team. I
can't believe you idiots. You're celebrating a team that had
three o less wins from last year. Those you guys,
(30:07):
just buckle up, put your seatbelt on right now, because
that's the shit we're gonna hear all year. And I'm
gonna keep looking you in the eye and my tune
is never going to change, not once this year. I
promise you the ultimate success or failure of this team
will be decided in January and February.
Speaker 12 (30:27):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
That shit, because they don't live. That's why I'm not
sitting up here freaking out today. We have seventeen games total.
As long as this team gets in the playoffs, it
does not matter how it looks.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
And you know what if, let's let's God forb Maz.
You have to offer a public apology to Devin Hester.
You have to talk about your CTE got the best
of you. Okay, all right, let's say that happens. Okay,
do you know what? The ultimate success or failure of
this team is still dictated by what a cur in
(31:00):
January and February. Yeah, you didn't get in. You're not
You're not playing in mid to late January and into February. Like,
that's it. That's where we are as a franchise now, guys. Okay,
that's where we're at. If they're not playing in mid
to late January and into February, the season was a failure. Yeah, facts,
(31:20):
that's it, And I don't care how it gets there again,
you guys, I'm so serious. I can't people get mad
at me all the time for a secon go ten
and seven. I don't give two shits.
Speaker 5 (31:33):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
It means nothing to me. Oh no, the Packers won
the North. What happens come playoff time? Did you string
those wins together? Did you get did you get three
wins in the playoffs to advance to the Super Bowl? Okay, cool,
I'll see in Santa Clair. What's up? Like that's that's
what this year is, you guys. But that doesn't mean
along the way we aren't gonna have a lot of
conversations like this. We are even after wins, We're gonna
(31:56):
do it. I can't believe they just got by a
against filling the blank. They already have more losses this
year than they did last year. You guys are unwatchable.
You're gonna hear all that.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
I will say this Tonight, we'll see what the Bears
look like, and we'll see what the Vikings look like.
And I am truly looking forward to that game.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
I'm taking a nap, I'm staying up today.
Speaker 6 (32:21):
I am I can't wait for that game tonight.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Google Baby, like, I'm telling you right now.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Google Okay, whose name I dared not mention is a
Warlock blowjob.
Speaker 6 (32:38):
We might come in tomorrow and we might have to
talk about Wow, that Bears offense look pretty damn good.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Okay, I am right, Like seriously, I am going to
Planet Fitness as soon as we're done as well, I
am going to take a Google Baby nap so I
can stay up and watch it. I'm so mad I
fell asleep last night. I really am, Like, I'm mad
at myself.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
I didn't care at that point, some of them. They
took everything out of me. Yesterday I could not even
I watched a little of the game and I'm like,
I've had enough. Chris collins Worth said one two May,
I'm like, I'm done. Let me get the hell out
of here. But I'm just saying, next week the Bears
come in, and then you got to go to Baltimore.
(33:16):
If you play like you did yesterday, Baltimore will put
up fifty on you. They will.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
Was it easy? In the chat last night when Baltimore
was like going off, was it easy? That said, I'm
downright frightened about what happens in a.
Speaker 6 (33:28):
Couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Week three year.
Speaker 6 (33:30):
Yeah, I'm telling you, man, you still by the way.
But for anyone that watched the Buffalo Baltimore game yesterday,
we're gonna see that team in two weeks.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
I love Josh Allen. I just any chance I get
to say that, I just I just love that uncoordinated
but yet incredibly coordinated. Oof I do. It's just he's
so fun to watch. DC knows. Look, the focal point
is going to be on the new coordinators. So much
was talked about it in the off season.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
I still think people made way too much of a
deal about it. I say that even today, DC on
the new coaches in the old line.
Speaker 9 (34:07):
Well, look, this is the same thing we ran into with,
you know, with ag and and Ben. I mean in
twenty two. We remember we started one and six. I mean,
I think people are asking me to fire Ben one
and six.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
You know.
Speaker 9 (34:20):
So look, it took us a while to get our
to get our feet.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
Man, so.
Speaker 9 (34:26):
To get our bearing. And but you learn every time
you go through these and you work together and you
find the right flow, and you do it collectively.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
You do it together.
Speaker 9 (34:34):
And and like I said, man, we're the more that
was five play together. We got two young guards, but
the more they all play together, the better we're going
to get. You know, these are real reps against other opponents,
and you get a full game. And man, you go
and you teach off of it, teach off of it,
and you correct it and you learn.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
From it and you move on.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
For the amount of times they talked about cohesive and
the importance of cohesiveness, because that's exactly what Dan Campbell's
talking about. It's what this is right now, is not
what it's going to be six weeks from now.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
Fact, it just isn't.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
These guys, you know, you get the reps, you get familiarity.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
It was ugly yesterday. Own it. Okay, you got to
get better.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
And that's one thing that I think we can give
Dan Campbell credit for. On his watch, we've seen things
get better and I have no reason to believe that
this is going to be any different. But at the
same time, you have to own what happened yesterday.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
It was ugly.
Speaker 5 (35:38):
Yeah, and I hope are they.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
I don't know if there are any Packer fans in
the chat. If you guys see any, you know what
you guys, you beat us yesterday. I want to make
that crystal clear. It wasn't just what we didn't do,
it's what you did to us. I refuse to become
what I detest. How many times in the last couple
of years have we gone in and and disassembled somebody
(36:02):
and then I get idiot bear fan telling me, well, no,
it's you guys. You did it to us. You pounded
us yesterday. That was not That wasn't a twenty seventeen
thirteen game. Man, that wasn't a two touchdown game.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
It just wasn't. It wasn't and the Lions weren't able
to do what they do best. Yeah, they did win
time of possession, but you can't win games kicking field goals.
That is what ultimately killed this team. Offensively. Defensively, you
had no pass rush. Yeah, I know, you had no
pass rush. And it just appears that the secondary man
(36:38):
like they have some work to do as well. And
DJ Reid I do like that addition, I do feel
like he is an upgrade. But he didn't look good yesterday.
Ta I know he got burnt on the touchdown that
was actually a pick play, but overall he didn't look
necessarily great yesterday. The secondary as a whole just did
not show up. It was bad across the board offensively
(36:58):
and defensively, and they got some things figure out quickly.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Might there's so much to talk about the NFL. I
think we're gonna save it for tomorrow. For years in
this business, I did a little thing called what did
you see in the NFL? And maybe after the Bears
Vikings game tonight, maybe tomorrow we take the tour around
the shield and talk about what happened yesterday. The focal
point today and this is why we're here talking with you.
(37:22):
Want to get your comments super chat you guys go
to the front of the line is well, what Jared
Goff had to say, there's a lot of work to
do with this Detroit Lion team JB on both sides
of the ball.
Speaker 6 (37:34):
Yeah, we'll move forward, Fine, we will.
Speaker 13 (37:35):
We've got good players, we gota coaches.
Speaker 6 (37:37):
We'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
It's just there.
Speaker 13 (37:38):
There needs to be a urgency of improvement, you know,
it has to be. And today wasn't even close to
good enough, I think offensively, and we got a lot
to work, a lot of work to do.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Yeah. Yeah, to say, what about that Morton offense? You
want to hear Jared Goff?
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Sure, I don't.
Speaker 13 (38:00):
I mean, anytime you're you're with a coordinator for the
first year, it's it's the first year of a coordinator.
And that doesn't mean that we can't be great right now.
We should be great right now. But there are hurdles
obviously that you're gonna have to face and get over
and improve on. And I think that's where I'm the
urgency to improve on some of those things from us.
He needs to be there and I intend to lead that.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Are you feeling any better? Mass? You don't look any better.
You look like you're gonna vomit right now.
Speaker 5 (38:25):
Yesterday did no favorite face?
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Look at Mass look I'm so glad you put that
like he looks like he's gonna vomit. I feel sorry
for him.
Speaker 6 (38:32):
They took the start chaut of me like they did
in that playoff game. After that Washington game, I really
didn't give a damn about the championship weekend. I mean
I watched it with one I basically uh. And the
Super Bowl. I think super Bowl. I watched it from
my squares. I watched it to see if I'm gonna
win any money. I didn't. And then yesterday, yesterday was
(38:52):
all it was was gross. It was that first half.
It was gross. Second half, they had a chance. I
saw the lines, they had a three and out, they
went down the field, they get a field goal, and
then they had that interception called back and it was over.
After that. The offense just did not have it yesterday
at all. I saw some signs out of the defense
(39:15):
though in the second half, which I was happy about. Look,
you went over the numbers. Green Bay didn't like run
us off the field numbers wise, But in that first
half they did whatever the hell they wanted to do,
and that three play drive I don't ever remember in
three years of watching this team grow a team go
(39:35):
eighty yards in three plays on them, Sean.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
Would you put more of this on John Morton or
the players on the field?
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Players?
Speaker 5 (39:45):
Yep, oh definitely the players.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Yeah, players, Yeah. I don't think any debate about that.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
It's people. I mean, I'm not saying that there's no
change whatsoever, but people kind of overplay the coordinator thing.
And Jared Goss spoke to it in the offseason, like
a lot of the terminology and the protections are the
exact same. It's a copycat league. A lot of teams
have the same play designs, like it's nothing. He's not
(40:11):
reinventing the wheel. But at the same time, there is
little nuances that they need to pick up along the way,
and yesterday they just didn't have that.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
And the reality is, and I got this feeling it
was almost like the Packers were in our game plan
many times. I mean, how many times did they they
swing it out and there were five Packers standing there
and everything, And a lot of times it's that simple
minutia of executing and Okay, you good. I'm so glad
(40:41):
you guys know what we're gonna do. Now stop us.
I mean, how many times is it I'll say it again. KG.
You know my feelings. I think the coordinator thing is
way overblown. I brought up historical, factual evidence to show
other teams, including the defending Super Bowl champion, bring it up.
What can What can I say until they actually prove
(41:03):
it on the field, No, for sure say anything.
Speaker 5 (41:05):
It's gonna take a lot more than just yesterday. I
need to see this repeated along the season to determine
whether the coordinators are bad or not. At this point,
you can't make that determination. They just got their ass
whoop yesterday. But I'm not ready to throw the tale
in on either him or Kelvin Shipp.
Speaker 6 (41:21):
Listen, guys, you remember last year the Dallas game. The
Lions were waiting for that game. That was their game
to say, boy, we're gonna put sixty points up on
your asses today. We're gonna laugh, We're gonna do trick plays.
That's what Matt Lafleur and the Packers had circled. They
had this game circled because we emasculated them for the
(41:44):
past two and a half years and they wanted a
shot at us. We went on fourth and one instead
of kicking a field goal and giving them the ball back.
You remember that when Jared Goff tripped and still got
the ball handed off to David Montgomery for that first down.
That's how much balls the Lions had. They almost gave
that game away. You remember that game, right, It was
(42:07):
that Thursday night game. They almost gave it away.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
That was when packerfid You remember that was like one
of the funny here's knee touched your ground. Yeah it's
not college.
Speaker 6 (42:16):
No, they had this game circled. This was Matt Lafleur's
Dallas game that Dan Campbell had circled, and they beat
the shit out of us.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
You mentioned it, maz kg. You have no reason to
remember this. I was doing Big D at the time
with the Boys, and I told the day after the
NFC AFC Championship, I was I'm going to use the
term again, googoo baby. I didn't watch, Like honestly, I
didn't watch that day, and people were mocking me and
all that. I was like, nah, nah, nah, I wasn't
feeling it and there was hockey on. So I just
(42:49):
turned on hockey that day like legitimately.
Speaker 6 (42:51):
Like I said, I watched it literally with one eye.
I didn't give a damn. Yeah, that's what happened to
me yesterday. I didn't give a damn about the night game.
I watched it a little and then I'm like, I'm done.
I'm done. I need to see my Lions next week
against the Bears, because that was not the team that
(43:12):
I know. You know what we.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Should We should put up some kind of pole. Let's
let's try to formulate a pole. Is a group think
tank type of thing? Uh for the fans. I saw
whoever was running socials last night said, on a scale
of ten, how much are you worried about the Lions?
JB think of something like that, because it is that
(43:36):
the day after the day after the Monday morning water
cooler type of thing. You come down a little bit,
but not a whole lot. But come on, dog, Yeah,
clearly you know what we should do. We should start
talking about the twenty sixth draft. Do you want to do?
Speaker 5 (43:52):
That's ask about a quarterback into twenty twenty six draft.
Let's just day the trade all the pigs move up
in the draft. Let's go get our quarterback in the future.
Speaker 7 (44:01):
So you're talking about arch Manny, is he the quarterback?
Speaker 6 (44:05):
I'll take the kids from Oklahoma? Stop it. Bas He
looked damn good.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
All right, listen, we're up against it. When we come
back our friends at black Rock, we're gonna do a
black Rock player that rocked obviously want to get your comments,
and I know the chat is buzzing. Trek scoobel Packer
fans have had it. Charlie Morton another fantastic shouting. Are
we ever going to have that conversation about how bad
(44:33):
the trade deadline was?
Speaker 6 (44:34):
Yeah, we'll bring it back.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
Okay, are we gonna?
Speaker 6 (44:37):
The Tigers are very lucky that the Lions played.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
The Tigers are very lucky. They're in an awful division.
Speaker 5 (44:42):
Like I told you all at the.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Beginning of the year, it's a bad division. Ye okay, cool, fantastic. Then,
all right, where are we going? JB.
Speaker 7 (44:49):
We got to hear from black Rock and Sharon's heating
and cooling. But there are so many super chests and
we got a shout out, shout out, shout out to
everyone sitting him in five hours from Jordan Lyne. He
says happens to elite teams early in the season every year. Eagles,
last year, Casey, the previous few years. Not pretty.
Speaker 6 (45:07):
They need in jail.
Speaker 5 (45:08):
It'll back fine. Facts I agree with you, dude. See
the Chiefs fans freaking out losing to the Raiders. Don't
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (45:15):
Yeah, that's true too, all the Chargers this past over
the weekend. Five hours from James, he sends in, I'm
not losing hope, but last night would with a team healthy,
it looked bad. Only thing from the weekend Spartan's are
two and oh baby.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
I love the two and oh, but I'm gonna repeat.
And I know this sounds crazy, considering he had five touchdowns.
Will Aiden Schilds please stop missing wide open guys downfield
them He has arguably the best receiver in the conference.
And I have no qualm saying that. Okay, if you
aren't familiarly yet, marsh is a flat out stud And
(45:52):
I am so serious when I say that. Okay, I
thought I am watching guys run open downfield and JB.
He doesn't just miss them. He this is him by
that much and that.
Speaker 5 (46:05):
That is frustrating.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
And I want to embrace eighty.
Speaker 6 (46:09):
He looks better than underway do.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
I want to embrace him and say, okay, all right,
all right, we'll go be okay together. But I don't
think you can get away with that type of performance
in conference, I don't.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
I can't wait for us to talk college because I'd
give eight and child's credit man to win a shootout
like that, although it was against Boston College.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (46:29):
Yeah, but yeah, the wheel that he showed to win
that game, getting injured, coming back in hitting the game winner,
I thought it was pretty dope man, no turnovers, he
had a great game.
Speaker 6 (46:39):
Hell O'Brien coaches BC, Yeah, all right, JB, what you
got it?
Speaker 7 (46:45):
We got five dollars from TeV Sauce to He sends in,
remember when we were worried to see if they would
still be running trick plays. I'll take a run from
five yards. At this point, O line looked like who It.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Was unbelievable, but really unbelievable.
Speaker 12 (46:59):
It's just.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
Molly the staple, literally the backbone of our team was
was not there yesterday. Oh well, gotta get it right.
Speaker 7 (47:10):
We got ten dollars from Steve Lehman.
Speaker 5 (47:12):
He shout out.
Speaker 7 (47:14):
We'll probably win next week, giving us false hope just
to get our ish rock by Baltimore. Morgan isn't using
our back properly. It felt like Gibbs was out there
ninety of.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
The game he was and Monti caught a lot more
passes than we used to.
Speaker 6 (47:30):
But hey, Gibbs, go back to twenty six, so.
Speaker 5 (47:37):
It's not the number.
Speaker 6 (47:39):
Well he looks like crap, all.
Speaker 7 (47:42):
Right, four ninety nine from Great Train Jay. He sends in,
I don't believe that there was a Hutch rule. I
think they didn't want to keep stopping plays because of
the O line miscommunications. That's an interesting theory.
Speaker 5 (47:58):
Everybody got an answer though, yeah, oh, they didn't play
in the preseason that.
Speaker 3 (48:05):
Yeah, I can't. I'm glad you brought that up. Taking
I can't even what you owe me to do with that.
Speaker 12 (48:11):
I.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Always okay. So two things. Let let two things. No offense,
they played nothing in the preseason last year and then
went fifteen to two when we're dominant.
Speaker 5 (48:25):
Okay, ye, people forget that.
Speaker 3 (48:26):
And and the second thing is are you telling me
that going out there for a series a series maybe
handing the ball off two times and then throwing a
pass down the field makes the difference between what transpired
yesterday and being that lockdown offense.
Speaker 5 (48:45):
Saw geor loved it. You saw what happened.
Speaker 3 (48:48):
I got nothing his hand, I got I got nothing
for you. You're right? How about that? You're right?
Speaker 7 (48:58):
We got from Black Flying, he sends in said morn
and shep look lost for play calls.
Speaker 5 (49:05):
It's too early to determine that. That's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker 6 (49:09):
Well, they flunked yesterday, though.
Speaker 5 (49:13):
I said it yesterday, though that game did no favorites
for anybody that still had questions about the whole line
D line like it did you no favorites. Gotta be
real about it, for sure.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
It should be field day today with We're good. Like
I brought it up earlier. I totally understand why people
are having a field day with that.
Speaker 6 (49:30):
I do.
Speaker 3 (49:31):
And KG COEs to your point, it did no favors.
How do you argue that today. I'm not going to.
Speaker 7 (49:40):
H we got one from Blake, he says. Call Frank,
because that was.
Speaker 5 (49:45):
Man, Frank not coming to save y'all.
Speaker 6 (49:47):
Man.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
I'm sorry, Frank.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
I'm wanting back to it here, Frank, I will tell
you my secret fishing hole. Seriously, I have an unbelievable
fishing pole hole that I found when I was a
kid that was passed down to me from my grandfather
who had I'm not even gonna tell you where it's at,
just in case you find it. But my grandfather had
(50:09):
a place on the other side of Link Saint Clair
in Canada, and all I'll say is I have a
very special place. Have you ever caught a muskie?
Speaker 5 (50:19):
Frank?
Speaker 3 (50:20):
Huh? Yeah, you come back and I'll share where my
musky hole is.
Speaker 6 (50:25):
Okay, are you gonna get a mechanic horn to to
put you as bait?
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Okay, good, let's go musky fishing.
Speaker 7 (50:34):
Let's pick up the phone when we call off. Just
please two dollars from burn.
Speaker 5 (50:38):
He sends in.
Speaker 7 (50:39):
We haven't had a two and oh start once under Dan.
Speaker 6 (50:43):
That's weird, really, that's really that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
That's weird. First, last week last year, wasn't.
Speaker 6 (50:53):
Yeah, we went one on one with the with the
laid an egg against the Buccaneers.
Speaker 5 (50:57):
Wow, I guess he hasn't.
Speaker 6 (50:59):
Yeah, we pissed that game away against the Bucks.
Speaker 3 (51:01):
That that's I guess when you think about that, that
is not See now, let me just I don't remember
off the top of my head. I'm gonna look up
twenty twenty three. I'm not doubting you, but this is
more for my Yeah, we lost to the Seahawks.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
Ye in overtime.
Speaker 6 (51:14):
That was it. That was the CG what do you
call them? The game the man Geno Mahomes. Yeah, yeah,
that was the ski mask.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
Geno Mahomes got us like three years in a row.
Two We beat him twice, but he got us three
years in a row.
Speaker 6 (51:28):
We lost three players that game. That was a disaster.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
Boy, that's crazy. Good good call burn. I guess I
never thought about that.
Speaker 7 (51:35):
Yeah, it's weird. The thing about that Dante won five
to one Sinds in five four ninety nine. Our Kansas
City Chiefs fans crashing out because the Chiefs lost the
divisional game against the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
No o tay that. It reminds me. You remember a
couple of years ago when the Chiefs won the Super
Bowl again and late in the year they lost to
Aiden O'Connell.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
And the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
Yeah, good game, and people like you, it's it's the
National Footall League. It's gonna happen. Okay, it is. It's
it's gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (52:04):
I swear to you.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
Just like just like the Philadelphia Eagles got hammered by
Tampa last year. They were a playoff team and lost
to Atlanta. Like it's gonna happen. This is the NFL,
It's gonna happen.
Speaker 7 (52:19):
It's gonna happen. To keep ninety nine from BNF, he
sends in, how do you feel about our offensive coordinator?
I feel like we ran the ball too much when
it was clearly not working.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
I wish they would have opened it up, especially when
situations dictated itself. But I think that also goes hand
in hand. H To quote Lawrence Taylor, the Packers were
out there like a bunch.
Speaker 6 (52:42):
Of crazed dogs having some fun.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
They were they were they were smelling blood. Because the
interior of of our offensive line was off.
Speaker 5 (52:51):
In the second half, they just sent blitzers. Hey, we're
just gonna blitz them until until they beat us.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
That's what That's exactly my greatest fear. And I said
this on the pregame show with Neil yesterday. Move those
guys around in front and say we're coming at you.
Just know it might be over here, it might be
over there, but we're coming at you. We know where
you're weekend, We're coming.
Speaker 5 (53:10):
At you and to the fast point. They do have
to get this together because now the guards have made
themselves targets like teams are gonna absolutely try to exploit
that going forward.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
So you don't think people saw that on table. Yeah,
you're absolutely right, KG.
Speaker 7 (53:24):
Yeah, and finally one more super tap before we go
to break one nine from shot two one six shot
the worse for so oo fans in life.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
I saw that those three letters more times you can
shake his stick will yesterday and brought it back up.
I saw it more times than you can shake his
stick at hey. And you know what, KG, This goes back.
This goes back to what you were saying a few
minutes ago. Have at it like, like, what what do
I say today? All I can say is it.
Speaker 5 (53:53):
Was a week I'm not saying this, OIL, but no, I'm.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
Not saying it. No, I'm not saying it. No, no, no, no,
Let's reconvene next Tuesday morning. If we have this kind
of this kind of outing again, we might have to
sit back and go, oh, they're zer and two with
Baltimore looming right Oh.
Speaker 5 (54:10):
Dropping two division games. That wouldn't be good. It would
not be good.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
That would I mean think about it. That would be
as many divisional losses as in the past three years.
Speaker 5 (54:17):
Yeah, think about that. But see, this goes back to
the all season when I was saying that these first
seven games are absolutely important for the Lions. They need
to come out of this first seven with at least
three wins at this point, So three wins to me
and they're sitting pretty. But we'll see how it plays on.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
All right, fantastic black Rock player that rocked. When we
come back, JB. Where we're going before we hit the break.
Speaker 7 (54:42):

a lot going on over here, Jonah puts in four
ninety nine. The Morton higher feels like the Anthony Lynn
hire hired because the Campbell knows him and trust him.
Speaker 6 (59:55):
In quotes.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
At KG, You're react said, what do you want me
to say? Right? I disagree with you? I do. I
want to say that for the record, I disagree with you.
But what can I say right now? To support myself?
Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
All I can say is one man's been out the
league for quite some time. John Morton kept finding a
way to good jobs. But I don't think he's Anthony Lay.
I don't.
Speaker 7 (01:00:22):
And we got one more from a polo boy two
four eight doesn't send in anything. He just send us
a dollar. So shout out to you, shut out, thank.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
You, appreciate you. All right, So we want to talk
about our friends at black Rocks. And by the way,
do you want to win a fill a? Somebody in
the chat is gonna win a full a from Blackrock.
I'd like to win for real? Can I Can I
jump in the chat and win a fill a?
Speaker 5 (01:00:50):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Thank you, all right, but let's make our way around
the room. Something that we're gonna do every Monday is
the black rock player that rocked Angle. You can pick
one guy that you saw over the weekend and you
can say, you guys know who I'm going with. Okay,
I've got a man crush. Can I go first? My Joshi,
(01:01:17):
My Joshi, my Joshi, Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things
that that's my black rock player that rocked I mean,
you didn't expect me to pick a lion, now, did you.
I thought about Aiden Childs for a second, but I
need to say it again. When a guy's being paid
eight hundred and sixty three thousand a year, and I
(01:01:37):
need him to be even better than he was on Saturday.
How's that is that? Cool? KG?
Speaker 5 (01:01:42):
Who you got? He kind of took mine because I
mean that's the most obvious one. You know what, man,
you want to go come back to me?
Speaker 6 (01:01:50):
Yeah, of course I got mine and JB, I just
sent you a text. Get my cut cued up because
it's Aaron Rodgers was Come on, man, come on. The
Jets crapped all over this guy at the end of
his Jets career, and Aaron Glenn did. And Aaron Glenn
he coached the hell of a game yesterday. Jets should
(01:02:11):
have won that game. They fumbled the kickoff after the
Steelers scored. The Steelers put another one up, and they
had a kickers. They had a kicker, one of the
best kickers of the game in Chris Boswell, kicked the
sixty yard But Aaron he threw for four touchdowns yesterday,
and after the game, of course, they asked him, how
about this win against the Jets?
Speaker 12 (01:02:32):
Erin you spoke about the meeting with Aaron Glenn on
McAfee a few months ago. Beating him is their significance
in that since he basically told you to your face
that he didn't think you were right for that team. Yes,
that's what he did, So there are significance in beating
him for you.
Speaker 16 (01:02:50):
I was happy to beat everybody associated with the Jets.
Speaker 6 (01:02:57):
That just says it all. He wanted that game, and
the Jets handed to him on a silver plotter, but
he took it. That old man threw for four touchdowns yesterday.
And you heard Tom Brady last week. Tom Brady said
he's the greatest thrower of a football I've ever seen.
That's coming from the goat himself, Tom Brady. That son
(01:03:19):
of a bitch, Aaron Rodgers. He doesn't blow out his
achilles on September eleventh, two years ago. Who knows what
he could have did, but we'll never know. And now
we get the Aaron Rodgers that we have now. But
he is my black rock player, that rock four touchdowns
(01:03:42):
and he won the damn game. Steelers, aren't I think
the Steelers are gonna be good? I do? I think
the Steelers. I know they played the Jets. They covered
by the way, Jets covered two and a half. They
lost by two.
Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Mike tomlin Man like, seriously, Mike Mike Tomlin is a witch.
He is. Yeah, they're gonna be I'm gonna say this again.
And you know, it wasn't a popular opinion around here
last year, and people always said, well, it's when it
didn't matter Aaron Rodgers down the stretch last year. The
second half of the year was pretty good.
Speaker 6 (01:04:15):
Yeah, he was starting to play.
Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
It wasn't elite Rogers.
Speaker 6 (01:04:18):
It was not gonna be was he was.
Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
And when you look at his numbers in totality at
the end of the year, it wasn't a bad year.
And I know nobody wants to hear that because we
all have to throw shit at him and everything. Is
he the guy?
Speaker 5 (01:04:32):
He was?
Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
No, But it's kind of weird how that worked out.
All right, KG, We'll save you for last JB. Who
do you got the black rock player?
Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
The oh?
Speaker 7 (01:04:43):
Well, uh, he is known as the King.
Speaker 5 (01:04:46):
He was the King.
Speaker 7 (01:04:47):
Last night had myself and mass Fantasy matchup in shambles
and Sean, you picked Josh Allen, So I gotta go
with King Henry on this one. One hundred yards in
just one quarter, I mean, was running like a tank
out of their stiff armin whoever you could, I don't
even count that fumble as anything. Man, You're better than
this King Henry, I know this, but trust me, Derrick
(01:05:08):
Henry is my players that rocked. Yesterday Black.
Speaker 6 (01:05:14):
Fumbled the game away.
Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Though eighteen for one sixty nine and two touchdowns.
Speaker 6 (01:05:18):
I beat JB by half a point? Thanks whole point?
Speaker 3 (01:05:21):
Did you really?
Speaker 6 (01:05:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (01:05:22):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
By the way, can we also can we also mention
he's thirty one years old? Remember remember running backs are
supposed to die at twenty nine. Yeah, right, he's thirty one.
Speaker 6 (01:05:31):
He's something.
Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
Gosh is he fun to watch? I kid you not?
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
KG, what you got for the black rock player that rocks?
Speaker 5 (01:05:37):
Speaking of running backs, a black rock player that rocked
is Justice Haines from this Michigan game man, and he
once again broke off a big, big time run in
the second half to begin the second half of the
second half, finished with nineteen carries one twenty five six
point six yards per carry. He is a problem and
I love the backfield of him and Jordan Marshall going forward.
(01:05:59):
I think that that's only gonna bowl well for Michigan.
You just hope that the offensive line can can't hold
up and continue to be a source for them, But
Justice Haynes is I think he's trending toward being one
of the best backs in the country. He is my
black rock player.
Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
That rock right fantasic. I want to get you guys
take on what transported with Michigan and Oklahoma in a
bit too. Oh yeah, for sure, because like I'm gonna
say it again, I'm never I'm never gonna bullshit you guys. Like,
did I watch when Michigan State was in a commercial break? Yes?
Did I watch when Michigan State went to halftime before
you guys did? Yes? Have I had the chance to
(01:06:34):
actually sit down and watch the game yet, No, I
haven't got you. Yesterday was one like I told myself,
I'll do it yesterday, and I was in no mood
to do that. After the Lions game. Yeah, like, sorry,
I apologize. And if you want to chastise me and
say I can't believe you didn't watch a game, at
least I'm shooting straight with you. That was my intention
last night. As soon as the Lions game ended, I'm
(01:06:55):
gonna sit down and watch Michigan in Oklahoma. I heard
enough from Michigan fans and just in the little bit
that I talked about it with you in MAS this morning.
It seems that there's a common refrain, okay, and we'll
get to that in just a moment. I'm gonna try
to get back on track because poor j JB is
like the traffic cop out there.
Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
No, according to big him in the chat, he ain't
doing nothing to booth you thought. We ain't see that ship.
Watch your mouth man watching working. I'm not gonna no,
I'm not gonna no slander for JB. We aren't gonna
tolerate that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
That poor guy has a whistle in his mouth and
he's going like this, and I'm blown through every fucking
stop sign he puts up. Where are we going, JB?
Speaker 7 (01:07:34):
We gotta double l. We gotta hear from the I
Told you and college football show stop slandering the.
Speaker 6 (01:07:41):

Florida has to be called out.
Speaker 5 (01:09:32):
Over I mean, come on, man, that that has to
be called Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:09:37):
Who got them at Florida? Atlantic Us? You of South Florida,
the Bulls.
Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
Billy Davier, look out, here comes the Gators.
Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Games.
Speaker 6 (01:09:49):
Come on, Billy Napier? Or who's your other favorite coach?
Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
Pedibles?
Speaker 6 (01:09:55):
Pedibles? No, there was another one that's even worse.
Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
Where do you want me to go?
Speaker 6 (01:10:01):
The one we always talk about? It'll come time.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
You have a guy named Darren McCarty on our shots
Woodward Sports.
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Hey, what is up?
Speaker 6 (01:12:11):
So?
Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Did you watch a pregame show with Neil and I yesterday?
Sun Cruiser was in full effect and it's going to
be in full effect all year. That is our drink.
There's no other way to say that Sunday's got a
whole lot smoother with sun Cruiser Vodka iced tea, real vodka,
real iced tea, no bubbles, just a clean chrisp sit.
(01:12:34):
We were putting them down yesterday. Okay, we even had
the chat going on for two hundred lights. Sean and
Neil will slam one and boy, you guys were mounting
up this season. Let the good times cruise with sun
Cruiser and Woodward Sports. Please drink responsible.
Speaker 6 (01:12:53):
We had sun Cruiser lions hats we were giving away
at the at second Best bar. We had the cruise.
They are, they're locked in. Man, they are partners with
the Detroit Lions. And I draw my.
Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
Sorrows and.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Legit yeah, I mean you guys, seriously, No, it's it's
a very legit drink. So it's funny like during the break,
I know we have our own pull up. I want
to ask you about it. Uh, get up or whatever
in the morning. Whatever the show's on that's up on
the screen over there. They said, Detroit, was this one
(01:13:30):
bad game? Or is this a sign of things to come?
Speaker 6 (01:13:33):
Yeah? I wonder what they said.
Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
It's all out here.
Speaker 5 (01:13:35):
Come on, man, you know what they say?
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
You guys, you guys, it's a kgen. I'm so good
say that because I think more often than not, I
think you're a pretty good voice of reason.
Speaker 5 (01:13:46):
Respect.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
It's a game, man, like it calmed out, but today
we have to go like this, take your shot.
Speaker 5 (01:13:54):
Yeah, we got nothing to go off. Sorry, we got
nothing for you. I mean, they gotta they gotta play better. Then.
This is not the Lions team that we are used
to seeing. And there were questions going into the season
that are still unanswered. You weren't gonna get the answers
in week one, people, but going forward. I mean, we're
gonna be monitoring this closely because you can't look like
this again. And I would shudder to say that. You know,
(01:14:17):
if they look like this more than once or more
than twice this season, we could be in some trouble.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
We could.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
They got tape. You better fix those problems.
Speaker 5 (01:14:27):
Yeah, you better. You ain't got a lot of time.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
You don't think everybody's looking at this. You don't think
you know. Here we talk about how good it will
feel to beat he whose name I dare not mention.
And it was really funny. Somebody who's giving me shit
the other day and they said, just say his name.
We don't fear him, and I told him, I said,
it has nothing to do with fear. He's a bear.
Speaker 5 (01:14:47):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
I think they win the night, though, like I detest
the bear, so I'm not mentioning his name because he's
a bear. But here we talk about how much we
want that game. What do you think is going through
Ben Johnson's.
Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
Yeah, he wants it.
Speaker 6 (01:15:01):
Damn right, he wants it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
But he wants this more than anything.
Speaker 5 (01:15:05):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (01:15:06):
He wants to start two and on a division.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
I hope he doesn't go full Jim Schwartz on us
and ask his team to carry him off the field.
Speaker 7 (01:15:11):
Would he might, I would not be Please don't.
Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
This is one of the worst afternoons of my life.
I told you, like at the exact minute that that
was happening. The Tigers run ended that same Afternoon's twenty
fourteen the walk of shame out of Ford Field, and
I saw the people coming out, and I looked at
my son and I said, I know that. Look, I
know that.
Speaker 5 (01:15:34):
Look.
Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
What I didn't know is how they lost that game.
How does our poll look?
Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
By the way, jb.
Speaker 7 (01:15:40):
U's not looking so great?
Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
Right?
Speaker 7 (01:15:42):
Yeah, we put up this pole what's your level of
concern after game one for the Lions? And it is
leading right now slightly at high with forty two percent,
Mid with forty percent, and low at eighteen percent.
Speaker 3 (01:15:57):
I like the way you put that wait to freeze.
That's that's a good one. That's a good one.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:16:04):
So very quickly, before we talk college football, can can
I go around the room and ask you guys, based
on the question that he asked, high, mid or low?
Speaker 5 (01:16:13):
Where are you at KG low? Because it's the first
game of the season and I know this team is
not going to continue to look like this, So it's
low for me, flat.
Speaker 6 (01:16:22):
Out mass I voted mid. It's mid because the offensive
line is not what it was last year or the
year prior to that. So can it get better? Yeah?
It has to get better. And on defense, you gotta
rush the passer man because you guys got you got.
You can't cover a guy for five seconds. And Jordan
(01:16:44):
Love had all day to throw yesterday. I don't think
he got his uniform dirty, just once when Hutch knocked
him to the ground and got a flag. By the way,
because you can't hit a quarterback now on an interception
or a fumble if you don't think the quarterback is
running after the tack to tackle somebody. So if you
think the quarterback is not after somebody, you can't touch them.
Speaker 5 (01:17:05):
Now.
Speaker 6 (01:17:05):
Did you know that rule?
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
No, it's insane.
Speaker 6 (01:17:07):
How about that rule? So it's mid?
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
All right? JB, where are you at?
Speaker 15 (01:17:13):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (01:17:14):
I wanted to say mid, but I think I gotta
go with Lowe on this one simple fact that like,
I still have faith in this team. I know they
know the disappointment that's on their face. They came in
to Lambeau, and they weren't happy. They got a little
over confident in themselves. And maybe we should have took
a little bit more reps during the preseason with the starterists.
Maybe who knows, But I know that they will get
(01:17:35):
this together. It is a very short turnaround that they
need to fix this, But I know in my heart
that they will flip this around and be better next week.
Speaker 3 (01:17:42):
Can I be an absolute coward and say lid between
and let's let me let me explain to you why
it's lid and but I'm leaning towards low in fairness,
but do you know in the back of my head
that and I I hope you guys laugh at me
for saying this three weeks from now. What if it's
(01:18:03):
a personnel problem. What if Christian Mahogany isn't that which
we thought he was going to be.
Speaker 6 (01:18:09):
Maybe he was a seventh round pick.
Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
What if we have to rely too heavily on a rookie,
a rookie who's going to get there one day, there's
no doubt my mind and cram Glasgow, what if it's
a personnel problem. What if the answer isn't here that
That's why I say lived That's that's why. And I'm
I'm openly admitting I'm probably being even over reactionary with that.
(01:18:32):
But what if Mahogany is not the guy? What if
we wanted him to be the guy? And there's a
difference between wanting a guy to be the guy and
being the guy. So that's why I'm gonna say, Lynd,
I'm gonna say live next week's gonna be huge. I'm serious, huge,
especially with the Ravens coming the week after that. Man, Okay,
that's why it is huge. It's gonna be It's gonna
(01:18:53):
be really, really big. JB. I'm sure you were in
the same position I was in. I didn't catch much
of the Michigan game on Saturday, and I'm guessing you
did not either.
Speaker 7 (01:19:04):
Well, actually, I was like mass I had them both
on at the same time.
Speaker 6 (01:19:10):
How's that beat up? Where else you want to go?
They had three TVs right in front of me. You
gotta go to a sports bar. When when that both
games were on at the same time, and the Tigers
were you know, it was a one hitter at the point.
He had a no hitter at the sixth inning. Trek
Scooble for people that didn't pay attention a blue pit
(01:19:31):
and then on he gave up two hits. But it
was good to see them bounce back. And then they
lost yesterday. But yeah, you gotta lock it load on.
When the games are all on, you gotta go to.
Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
A sports I am and I'm not trying to say
I'm a better fan than anybody. Please don't misconstrue. But
when it's my team, I have to go like this.
I'm laser vision like that, and I can't have anything else,
Like like, remember when January one was such a big thing.
That's when I Okay, let's grab the outdoor TV. We're
gonna set that down. Let's bring the other TV from
(01:20:01):
the other part of the basement over. I can do
the three TV things. If let's say Iowa and Boston
College is on one TV and Wisconsin and Oregon's on
the other TV, and then you got Duke Taken on
Billy Napier, Oh no, here comes Billy Napier and the
Gators on the other. I'm like that, but when my
(01:20:22):
team's on, I can't like I have to go like that.
Speaker 5 (01:20:25):
That's just that's my brain.
Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Yes, yes, well let me I think JB we knew
how big that game against BC was like. And I
say that with regret because that's where Michigan State is
right now. Remember when years gone by you talked about
the Michigan game, or when Oregon came in those years
and stuff a big game? Now is BC coming to
(01:20:50):
smartin Stadium. It's depressing, but that's where we're at. You
have to accept where you're at. I'm gonna start with
the Michigan fans though, KG what what what's your take
on what player Norman?
Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Well?
Speaker 5 (01:21:01):
For any Michigan fans that are Alliance fans, I've said
this multiple times now, those games were damn near identical
in a lot of ways. I felt like the offensive
play calling is something that I'm kind of looking at
right now because listen, you brought Bryce Underwood and you
paid them all this money. And I do understand he's
a freshman quarterback and he did look like a freshman
(01:21:23):
quarterback at times in that Oklahoma game. But you're gonna
have to live and die on what this kid can
actually do. And I felt like the play calling was
just way too conservative. They had points in that game.
Michigan did that to where they could have took control
of that game, and they just missed a lot of
opportunities defensively. I mean, they just they couldn't set an edge.
(01:21:46):
It was looking pretty bad. I don't think that I
don't think that that game encapsulates what Michigan is and
can be. But going forward, they have to make some adjustments.
And Bryce Underwood, I think that he's gonna be okay
only if they allow him to utilize the things that
make him great, which is his legs, and you're gonna
(01:22:07):
let him pass. Let him pass, man Like, I don't
want to see these checkdowns. I don't want to see
the screens over and over again. I get that you're
trying to protect the kid, but he's going out here,
he's not turning the ball over. Let him go out
there and take some chances, because that's the only way
he's truly going to learn and going to grow going forward.
But that was my takeaway from the game. They they
(01:22:27):
could have won, they hung in there, they could have
absolutely won that game against Oklahoma, but they're just too
conservative and it cost him.
Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
Did you at any point in time, like I know,
they came out in the second half and kind of
got back into it and had that did you at
any time go here they come. I think we're gonna
flip the script? Is that when it happened early second half.
Speaker 5 (01:22:48):
Yeah, the early second half kind of you know, the
momentum seemed like it was starting to swing back, and
people gotta realize Michigan was only down one score for
a majority of the game, and there were points in
that game that they just missed opportunities. And you're not
gonna win that way, especially against a team like that
in Norman with the crowd behind them. But there was
a couple times where Michigan silenced that crowd. They just
(01:23:10):
couldn't capitalize. That's all.
Speaker 6 (01:23:11):
It was a horribly called game by Sharon Moore. Horribly called.
It was like watching a high school game. Nine completions
for your stud quarterback nine nine.
Speaker 5 (01:23:25):
Yeah, the attempts Matier had way more, nine to twenty four.
Speaker 6 (01:23:29):
This Materier kid looked like Bryce Underwood, Bryce Underwill, like
just a kid that just just go in and don't
don't lose the game. Don't lose the game. If it
wasn't for Justice Hayes seventy five yard run when no
one touched him, they overloaded the right side of the
field and he went left. They get blown out. I
don't know what game you were watching. I don't think
(01:23:49):
they were ever in that game. I don't care. That
was an eight point game. It was it was that
was a shot show.
Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
I'm not gonna say that they were out of a
one score game for a majority of the games. But
like I said, they had opportunities.
Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
What opportunity, just didn't get what opportunity.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Listen, the defense in the second half was was way
better by win Martin Deale because I felt liked to
be Michigan looked way better defensively in that second half
because they were bringing the pressure to Materier and it
was working. If you're gonna let Matier beat you, let
him beat you with his arm. But the only time
that they feel defensively is when they let him get
(01:24:25):
outside the pocket. When he got outside the pocket, it
was just he was doing whatever he wanted to.
Speaker 6 (01:24:30):
Michigan's old line was not good Michigan. Michigan's D line
was no good either.
Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
Hey, I remember I remember like literally in June and
KG I hope you remember this, when we were doing
Big D and we were talking about early expectations for
the teams and I said ten and two, and I
think this is going to be a playoff team. And
do you remember, Please tell me you remember that. There
were a lot of Michigan fans really mad at me
(01:24:57):
for saying ten and two and making the playoffs. And
I'm not joking. I was dumbfounded at it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
I was like, you have to fix your brain now. Okay,
guess what two years ago I would have argued with anybody,
winning the Big Ten is huge?
Speaker 6 (01:25:14):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
It isn't anymore. It Hi, We're the Ohio State Buckeyes.
We didn't win the conference title, and we're the national champions.
It doesn't mean what it did Michigan fans ten years
ago because they went through such a long period without
winning the Big Ten. Whether you guys want to admit
(01:25:35):
it or not, I don't care. Many of you would
yell at JB and I and say, oh, winning the
Big Ten isn't that big.
Speaker 5 (01:25:41):
Of a deal.
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
And I just look at you and go stop it. Well,
we can still get in the playoffs using a very
small exception to a rule that was afforded to Alabama.
For goodness sake, Nick Saban's all Obama to say, well,
we can still get into. You know, winning the Big
(01:26:04):
Ten was a big deal in twenty twenty one. Winning
the Big Ten was a big deal in twenty twenty two.
Winning the Big Ten was a big deal in twenty
twenty three. You leave nothing a chance. You are in.
Let everybody else bitch about, well, maybe another Big Ten
team should get in. Last year, it all changed. It
means nothing. And along the lines of that, one of
(01:26:28):
the things that I said is I thought the schedule
was such where you could allow a true freshman quarterback
to come in and find his legs, not just literally
but figuratively as self. He's a true freshman quarterback. I'm
not backing off what I think of him. I think
the world of the guy. I think Bryce Underwood is
(01:26:49):
going to be an elite quarterback. And I'm so serious
when I say that. Okay, yeah, he's a true freshman man.
Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
He is eight.
Speaker 5 (01:26:58):
There were times in that game that he looked like
that he It was some throws that he missed, but
there was also some plays that he made, and I
just felt like the offense did not trust the coaching staff,
didn't trust the offensive line enough to let Bryce go
out there and be Bryce Man. That's what's irritating me
the most. We have not seen really a QB run
from him, unless it was because of pressure. We haven't
(01:27:20):
seen anything designed to utilize his skill set. And that's
what makes me angry, bro, because if you have somebody
as talented as a Bryce Underwood, you have to go
out there and let him make mistakes. It's okay, he's
going to make mistakes, but I think that his talent
can overcome that.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
I'm surprised you aren't seeing more out of his legs
because this is a guy.
Speaker 6 (01:27:41):
We haven't seen no design QB runs.
Speaker 3 (01:27:45):
I'm really surprised at that because this guy, if you've
watched him, he can move, Yeah, he can, and he's
got that you know, he's got that deceptive speed where
you watch him with those long strikes and you're like,
he just blew by everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:27:59):
You know what.
Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
I I'm a little surpressed. Three carries officially, yeah, for
a yard and maz as you said, nine of twenty
four for a buck forty two? Is it a training
wheels type of thing? Did you feel like they had
the training?
Speaker 5 (01:28:12):
You can tell that times in that game where they
were down, it's like, why aren't you passing the football more.
Why aren't you Why is it a screen every two plays?
Like it was? It was asinine to me, and I
know Maz want to point out Sharon Moore. I'm looking
more at Chip Lindsay because he's the new offensive coordinator.
He's he's supposed to be better than Kirk Cameron. He
is a coordinator that's used to running rpo type of
(01:28:35):
offense and for some reason, through two games, they have
not done that. In that environment, you absolutely needed it,
so I questioned it. That's all.
Speaker 6 (01:28:44):
I just wonder what's And he had a little scuffle
with Justice Hayes on the sideline that I really don't know.
I'm sure, I'm sure these things happened.
Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
I don't care.
Speaker 6 (01:28:52):
I'm I'm sure these things happen.
Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
Like I'm not being funny, you got, I think there
is more made about that at every year, in every sport.
Then it just so happens the camera caughtage.
Speaker 6 (01:29:06):
Sure, that's it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:07):
I like, no offense. I I just don't.
Speaker 2 (01:29:09):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
I don't put anything into it. Okay, So now let
me ask you guys, this is it? That was a
loss that none of us thought was gonna happen, Right,
you change your mind on Friday, right I did? Okay,
does that change your mind about where this team is going?
Because I will say this, KG, I had them at
ten and two. Now they're in that nine and three.
We might be on the outside looking in type of range.
Speaker 5 (01:29:33):
I'm still at nine and three. But if they don't
allow Bryce to to actually be the quarterback you paid
all this money for, then it could get worse than that.
But I'm still standing strong nine and three. If they
allow him to be.
Speaker 6 (01:29:47):
Oh shit, I'm down. I'm down at nine and three now.
Speaker 3 (01:29:50):
Yeah, well not nine and three in all likelihood isn't
going to get you in the play. In all likelihood,
there might be an accepted Well do you know what
it all comes down.
Speaker 6 (01:29:59):
To you, Barry Ohio, Well, this is the.
Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
Same conversation we had last year.
Speaker 3 (01:30:03):
Who did you lose to?
Speaker 12 (01:30:05):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
I'm serious that that's if let's say Oklahoma's in the conversation.
Just for shits and giggles, Okay, you got a nine
and three Oklahoma and a nine and three Michigan. But
I don't care what anybody says at that point in time.
Don't you have to go h Oklahoma?
Speaker 6 (01:30:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
Yeah, but I mean that's more of a conference thing.
I think that if they're nine and three, it depends
on which teams are nine and three as well. But
Michigan has a good chance just based on being Michigan.
Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
That's what That's what I'm saying. I think so much
of it has to depend on who else is there,
because if if you have common opponents, that should be
in theory an eliminator. Right, yeah, that should be in
theory an eliminator. Nebraska's two and oh I still I
still don't believe in Royola. I don't. Sorry, I do
not believe in that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:48):
I'm happy for spin Dog though.
Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
Yeah, I'm happy for for Mark USC. I've heard a
lot of people chirping about USC. I'll believe it when
I see it. The Michigan State game may may maybe
with Michigan State being a fun game, JB. Maybe you know,
we're thinking differently, and then Ohio State. I just don't
see a lot of losses on Michigan schedule, and at
(01:31:10):
least I've been consistent with it. I think this schedule
is favorable for them to be a work in progress
and do this all year and end up back in
the playoffs. I really truly do.
Speaker 5 (01:31:20):
Yeah, I mean, we just got to hope at this point.
But I feel this anyway.
Speaker 6 (01:31:24):
I'll say this to you and I I think I
texted it to you on Saturday. Both, you guys right now.
If they played this week, I'll take MSU to beat Michigan.
Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
Wow, yep, JB, and you just said the same reaction
that I have.
Speaker 6 (01:31:40):
Yeah, I was a little shocking, but I will because
they got they got some spunk over there in East Lansing.
They do, they do, they do show a lot. I
didn't see anything out of Michigan. I didn't see anything
out of them in two weeks. I didn't see anything
out of them.
Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
I think that Michigan stage defense leaves a lot to
be desired. That that kid was masterful, that honestly, their
quarterback was masterful on Saturday night. I mean, you guys
watched the game. It was it was wonderful. And I
mean this, it was wonderful to see Childs take steps.
(01:32:21):
But I, like JB, I'm not joking. I'm gonna say
this again. I'm so happy that he took a step.
I'm so happy that he ended up outdueling Lonergan because
I thought for a while Lonergan might have five hundred
yards passing, I mean that that's where he was like
literally trending for five hundred yards passing. Child's put up
(01:32:43):
five touchdowns. But I'm gonna tell you what you guys, JB,
I don't know if you feel the same way. The
missus kill me. The misses kill me, because I think
I think you can get away with that against Boston College,
and they did get it at Will. You can get
away with that against Boston College. I do not think
(01:33:03):
you are going to get away with that in four
or five big ten games. I just don't. And and
that's and and I had some be Oh come on,
the kid had a night. He did both things can
be true. He had a night, and he is missing
guys left and right downfield, and and I just don't
stop it. Stop it right now.
Speaker 6 (01:33:23):
Mats on Saturday, honest and goodness, I.
Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
I don't that just left a that left a bad taste.
East Lansing came to us just a minute ago. That
left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Speaker 19 (01:33:38):
Okay, guys, Oh my gosh, that's my fault.
Speaker 6 (01:33:49):
I'm sorry, Jamie.
Speaker 3 (01:33:50):
What was what was it? Did you feel the same
way like yay, hooray. But but I aiden guess what
I do want more? I want more. I don't want
to see you missing guys left and right down the field.
Speaker 7 (01:34:00):
No, I mean, I completely agree with you. A child's
he got a shit off. I mean five touchdowns. I'm
it was impressive. No turnovers, no turnovers, it was very impressible.
Once again, it's those misses that you keep talking about.
You can do this against the Boston College, but as
the competition gets tougher, as you move on further and
further into the season, where teams are always looking at you,
eyeing at you, trying to get that win from you. Yeah,
(01:34:23):
you can't sit here and just miss receivers five yards out.
And it scares me when I see him dropping back
there and with as much time as he has, just
loaning his arm back, cocking it, ready to bomb it
down the field to nobody. That irritates me so much.
Speaker 3 (01:34:40):
Like listen, like like JB. It'd be one thing if
you're just missing guys. He's missing guys by a mile
that it's so frustrating to watch. And I get it.
I know, I know there are gonna be some sparkan
fans because they were giving me shit there. I'm surprised
you have this you guys, you know what, Hey, K
(01:35:00):
you want to know the truth. You aren't beating Michigan
that way. I don't think I want to beat Michigan.
It's been too damn long. I hear it's been five years.
Speaker 5 (01:35:09):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
I want to beat Michigan. I want to be there
that Saturday night. I'm not gonna talk shit. I'm just
gonna get that shit eating grin on.
Speaker 5 (01:35:16):
Yeah, I hear you.
Speaker 3 (01:35:17):
That's what I want.
Speaker 5 (01:35:17):
I want to see Bryce for two hundred yards right,
I'm here, we.
Speaker 3 (01:35:21):
Are right here, we are, but that that's where I'm
I don't want to be at that. Don't D'Antonio pre
D'Antonio era, Well we made it to a bull game,
and hey we beat BC under the lights in are
really cool black jerseys. I don't want that ship. I
want success on the field. And what frustrates me is
(01:35:42):
I think this kid has all the tools. He really does.
Like I'm not saying he's without the tools, but his
downfield throws, man, are just bad.
Speaker 5 (01:35:52):
I hear you, all right, he's I.
Speaker 3 (01:35:56):
Almost threw my hat, don't I almost? I almost? Don't
know what they got, Well, they got to win. That's
why I'm not gonna throw. And it was nice that
east Lancy came in studio a couple of minutes ago.
Speaker 6 (01:36:07):
Hey, back to the lines on Monday night football next.
Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Let's do it all right, let's do that.
Speaker 6 (01:36:10):
Let's do it all. I want you to hear from
Micah Parsons before we're done.
Speaker 5 (01:36:13):
No, we can do that. He gonna get his shu.
Speaker 6 (01:36:17):
He can talk, he can, because that was a hell
of a move by the Packers made. They made a
championship move getting him. They did, and they didn't give
up much. They did not give up much to get
that guy.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
People are going to continue to take their shots at
Brad all throughout the day. That's just the way it is,
you guys.
Speaker 6 (01:36:36):
And he's got to take it all right.
Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
Where we're going JB.
Speaker 7 (01:36:39):

Speaker 6 (01:42:12):
All gonna be what's gonna say? He was told what?
Speaker 1 (01:42:16):
Man?
Speaker 5 (01:42:17):
He was told what that freaking out? After week one?
You probably don't.
Speaker 6 (01:42:21):
I was told that ports the answer?
Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
Can I can I throw one at Neil?
Speaker 6 (01:42:25):
Go ahead?
Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
I was told that MIKEAEH Parsons was overrated. I was
told that Mike THEH Parsons.
Speaker 5 (01:42:30):
Okay, we got a little smoked.
Speaker 3 (01:42:35):
He's my guy. You a little smoke? Do you know no?
Do you know no, sir? Like we're guilty. We are
whether we wanted. It's exactly what that Packer fan said.
Remember I told you that that tweet that I saw
a Packer fan that I know said Lion fans at
four fifty seven, Brad go get Micah Mike is the
missing piece we need. We need help up front. Packer
(01:42:57):
fans at fire or Lion fans at five o'clock after
the Packers signed him. He's overrated, he's no good. How
was that gonna help the Packers? Guys were guilty that
that doesn't even smoke against Neil that. I think that
smoke against our fan base. Guys, it is like, we're
all guilty of it. Can we say that, Yeah, we're
(01:43:19):
all guilty.
Speaker 5 (01:43:20):
I wanted to be smoking against Neil.
Speaker 3 (01:43:23):
Listen, I think we have a rule we don't take
shots at each other.
Speaker 6 (01:43:27):
What the Packers did, guys, as they got a guy
in that draft where we got Penney Sewell and I
was at the draft, I'm like, we gotta take Micah here,
you got Penney, Okay, Pennay is great. And then the
Cowboys lucked out that other teams passed on this guy
for some reason. I guess because he had a bad
Reprien college. I guess that happens. Remember Dan Marino could
(01:43:50):
take you back and tell you about that. The Jets
got Ken O'Brien because they heard Dan Marino smoke pot.
I rest my case. But Michaeh Parsons to the Packers.
That's like the Packers were picking right after the Lions
and that penne Sewel draft. Yeah, they gave up two
number ones. Who gives it, damn they're gonna be picking
in the final five picks for the next three years.
Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
Who cares.
Speaker 6 (01:44:14):
They got an all Pro that's gonna be a pro
bowler again. And he is a difference maker and he
got reilroaded by Jerry Jones. He did. Listen to what
he says. Listen to what he says. Here's Micah super relief.
Speaker 16 (01:44:35):
Yeah, I'm telling you, like, these last six months was
super draining, super toxic for everyone, and it's something that
you know, I don't think no players should have had
to go through. I think players fate should be decided earlier.
I think if I was traded a week before the season,
it was really outrageous and rough. It's something where I
(01:44:55):
could have been with these guys getting better and better,
and we could have had probably even more dominant you know,
if that was the decision we were gonna make.
Speaker 5 (01:45:02):
So I'm just happy that's behind. These guys embraced me.
Speaker 16 (01:45:05):
They believe in my talents, they believed in me and
I'm just gonna give these guys everything I have because
I know it's that stake. I know what they gave
up for me to be here, and I'm gonna do
what it takes for us to win.
Speaker 6 (01:45:16):
He doesn't even know his teammates' names. Yet look what
he did.
Speaker 5 (01:45:22):
I was told he was lazy and that he wasn't here.
Speaker 6 (01:45:26):
That's a super Bowl move that they made. I'm not
gonna say they make it to the super Bowl. That's
a super Bowl move because that got him. Even with
the Lions. They were here. Lions were here. Now they're here,
and you saw what they did to him yesterday. Granted
all in the first half, second half, neither team was
any good. That guy is gonna be dangerous in this division.
Speaker 3 (01:45:52):
I'm gonna say it again. We were all like, we
have a Woodward group chat, and I gotta be honest
with you. I don't know how much guys saw it. It
was kind of like Braylan and I against the world.
Because I know Braylan has been saying it in the afternoon.
Nobody wants to hear it. My job isn't to tell
you everything's gonna be okay. My job is to tell
(01:46:12):
you what I think is gonna happen, and I legitimately
feel before we even did that show where a lot
of you guys shit on me and I you guys,
I'm not right all the time. I'm not taking that
tack man and call me out when I'm wrong about something.
But I think people just dismissing bringing in an impact
player like Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers was
(01:46:33):
incredibly silly. That's all I'm gonna say. And I hope
the Lions have the last laugh. I hope y'all remind
me of this six months from now.
Speaker 6 (01:46:40):
Okay, ors, this was great when he was with Dallas,
we didn't have to give a damn because they're not
going anywhere. You gotta give a damn now because he's
with a He's with the real team now.
Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
All right, So before we find out what's trying with JB. Smooth, JB,
I know, we got some business to take care of,
some things in the chat that we need to clean up.
Speaker 7 (01:47:00):
What you got yep, yeah, we got a few super
chests to clean up here, sir. I missed these before
four ninety nine from Dante one to five women, we
were talking about Michigan and Michigan State. I remember a
certain someone me telling Sean that don't count out Oklahoma.
But no, I kept on here in Michigan will win
this game outright.
Speaker 12 (01:47:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:47:18):
See, there's a perfect example. I thought for sure Michigan
would win this game.
Speaker 5 (01:47:21):
Still felt like they could have because I.
Speaker 3 (01:47:23):
Like, honestly, you believes he don't look at his track record.
Speaker 6 (01:47:27):
His defense looked good though.
Speaker 3 (01:47:29):
Like, honestly, look at what he's done in Oklahoma. I mean,
that's that's Oklahoma for good news sake. You know. You
want to talk about taking a huge step back, and
that's what they've done under Venables.
Speaker 6 (01:47:39):
And going to the SEC as well. Not not helping
that was moronic, Yeah, not helping that they could have
owned the Big.
Speaker 7 (01:47:45):
Twelve and one more from Alex, say four ninety nine
you shot it in so I'm gonna say it, uh
mas rooms, this show, my god, it is even inside,
it's just pouting Sean the man.
Speaker 5 (01:47:58):
Though.
Speaker 6 (01:47:58):
Sorry, Alex, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
That's that's nice. But you could ask eight different people
and may hate my guts. I actually it's part of
doing business.
Speaker 5 (01:48:11):
In this business, it's just a little emotional, you know what.
Speaker 3 (01:48:13):
I'm sorry, Yeah, you are. That's a fair statement. But
you know what, I think a lot of times you
speak like a.
Speaker 5 (01:48:20):
Fan because you are a fan exactly. We all are.
Speaker 6 (01:48:23):
Right. Hey, I saw what I saw yesterday and it
made me throw up.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
I don't know how anybody could argue that that was
It was ugly yesterday.
Speaker 6 (01:48:29):
I'll say it again, that was the worst game I've
seen him play on the Dan Campbell and I'm including
the Zappie Hour and the Ravens. They weren't even a
real team when the Zappi Hour hit. I'm that's fine.
Speaker 3 (01:48:41):
Like what Baltimore did to us two years ago was gross.
Speaker 6 (01:48:44):
It was a slaughter.
Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
What Buffalo did last year was gross.
Speaker 6 (01:48:47):
We still scored thirty five thirty eight.
Speaker 3 (01:48:49):
That was all playing ketchup, Yeah, chasing, it really was.
Speaker 6 (01:48:53):
We had no players left, Sean.
Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
I know it was Listen, I get what you're saying.
It was that ugly.
Speaker 6 (01:48:59):
This was a full team.
Speaker 3 (01:49:00):
Twentys was just so. I remember that was one of
those games. It was I'm going to the cider mill.
I did head out the door yesterday, thank god. At
this time in the year, at this time in the year,
the cider mills open till eight oh, so after Teslad
got the touch.
Speaker 6 (01:49:16):
And I was like, cider slush is good field? Did
you see? Belichick won a game and he has forbade
the New England Patriots to enter the North Carolina hemisphere.
He they are not allowed to have any scouts scouting
North Carolina. When they asked him why he do that,
(01:49:38):
he said, well, they don't want me there. They're certainly
not going to be welcome here. So they are one
and one and the fighting Jordan's the fighting Jordan heels
move on.
Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
It wouldn't it wouldn't be like the Patriots to send
a spy in there. No things would Yeah, it would
Patriots not at all?
Speaker 1 (01:49:59):
Right, way, it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
Wasn't it hers I remember that? Imagine that? All right, JB?
What's trundle with JB?
Speaker 6 (01:50:14):
Smoothing?
Speaker 7 (01:50:14):
We need to hear from Ben Johnson Law first and
then we'll all right.
Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
Justice means different things to different people. There's no coincidence
in any way, shape or form. That law has three
letters and Ben has three litters letters. Whether you're looking
for a settlement a verdict, justice is always worth the fight.
If you got a case, contact the fighters at Ben
Johnson Law today. Get the justice that you deserve up
(01:50:38):
tenacious trial at lawyers. That's Ben Johnson law.
Speaker 7 (01:50:42):
Hey, what's up everybody, chaff family. A lot of things
happen over this weekend. I'll start with Sunday. I don't
know if you guys seen this, but uh, the Jess
apparently have a one hundred yard US flag that was
put on the field during the national anthem, and uh,
a guy got on top of the flag. I don't
even know how this happens. Wait what Yeah, I don't
(01:51:05):
know how this happened.
Speaker 3 (01:51:07):
How did that happen?
Speaker 5 (01:51:08):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (01:51:09):
Was he hoping that people would throw it up and
like toss him in the air.
Speaker 5 (01:51:12):
You don't even know how.
Speaker 7 (01:51:13):
You get that far like into the flag that you
need help off?
Speaker 3 (01:51:17):
How was that possible?
Speaker 5 (01:51:18):
I would have stayed on it?
Speaker 7 (01:51:19):
Is he just was he did he get stuck underneath?
Speaker 3 (01:51:23):
Clear? You got stuck hol like you can stand there
like the statue of Liberty, right, It's just so okay,
you know whatever.
Speaker 5 (01:51:29):
It's like he was standing on it. He had to
be standing on it before they lifted it. So it's
just they just lifted him up with Yeah, I guess
so ship if it was me out a chill right
in the middle of that boy with the fly over
and everything chilling.
Speaker 7 (01:51:43):
Oh, I don't I don't know what happened there. And
maybe you guys have seen this as well too, But baseball,
Karen Jesus.
Speaker 6 (01:51:55):
Kind of the worst here by the way.
Speaker 7 (01:51:58):
And you see a home run ball came into the
state and the father giving it to his son and
baseball care and demallions the ball back.
Speaker 20 (01:52:10):
React word to the day, for he was ready to
square it with old girl like, oh, no, baseball caring happened.
Speaker 7 (01:52:22):
Honestly, she got the ball back. It wouldn't have been
the whole entire time, but you know what, the Internet
did his thing. And you know, the boy got a
little bit of payback from that as well too, as
the concierge from the Phillies brought over a gift basket
for gift back for the young boy who was celebrating
his birthday at the game.
Speaker 6 (01:52:43):
Wow, And they brought him into the into the clubhouse.
Speaker 7 (01:52:46):
Yes, and they brought him into the club to get
a signed bat.
Speaker 5 (01:52:50):
See it turned out better. I think.
Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
One of the funniest scotsh damn things were watching non
sports fans debate this on social media all weekend. Okay,
you guys, like, seriously, anybody watching the show. If you're
watching this show, you're a sports fan. Okay, that is
a free for all.
Speaker 5 (01:53:09):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:53:09):
I don't care if it hit you in the hand,
let alone hit your seat. When that ball hits the eyles,
it's fair game. It is fair game. You do not
have a call on that ball. I don't care if
it hits you in the gosh damn noggin. It means
so you guys know this, Okay, the Maglio home run, right,
it was literally literally right behind us, like I was
(01:53:33):
holding my son. I'm watching the ball, going, oh my gosh,
it's coming right here. It hit the dude in the
row behind me in his head. I am not making
funny cause it hit him in the head and another
dude got the ball. Sorry, yeah, it's fair game.
Speaker 5 (01:53:50):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:53:50):
So I'm watching all these people, and I'm watching all
these holier than now Wow Twitter, Karen's going, well a legend.
It hit her seat. I don't care if it hit
her in her vagina.
Speaker 6 (01:54:05):
I'm sorry, is it a virgina?
Speaker 3 (01:54:08):
Vergin?
Speaker 5 (01:54:12):
It hits you the ball?
Speaker 3 (01:54:19):
No, okay, it's come on, that's not even baseball one
O one everybody, you guys, that's one thing everybody in
the chat. We may not agree on everything during the show,
everybody has to agree on that that ball hits the ground.
It's fair game.
Speaker 5 (01:54:35):
Let it go. Like I get, maybe you got an
argument if the guy keeps it for himself. He gave
it to us.
Speaker 6 (01:54:40):
No, no, that's not even an argument either.
Speaker 5 (01:54:42):
What's it? But my point is, once you put it
in the kids glove.
Speaker 3 (01:54:45):
Watch the kids look of terror when Karen comes up,
and that was hell out, shout out, pops man, can
you play it one more time? I want you to
watch the kids look of terror? Right when Karen comes like,
look how big his eyes get.
Speaker 5 (01:55:03):
The only part where PA's messed up is giving her
to baseball. She wouldn't have got it out of me.
You can kiss my ass.
Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
Watch a kid's face, watch over with Hey, Billy Napier
just walked in.
Speaker 6 (01:55:17):
More scared. I don't blame him.
Speaker 5 (01:55:19):
Look at her hair, dude, I gotta sweech him. You
can't win against somebody like that.
Speaker 19 (01:55:24):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:55:24):
If that's another man, you give him a nap, But
you can't do that to Karen. No, right, I mean
another feel like that and he might be sleeping. What
happened to him? He got tired? Right?
Speaker 5 (01:55:37):
You can't do that to Karen. You don't give her
that ball.
Speaker 6 (01:55:40):
Listen. I gotta say a disclaimer, guys. I have never
gotten a foul ball, and I've probably been to twenty
thousand baseball games. If I get one, If I get one,
I'm not giving it to the kid. I'm not. I'm
telling you right now, the kid's not getting it. I'm
gonna hold it.
Speaker 3 (01:55:58):
Did you get it, Farren Square?
Speaker 6 (01:55:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:56:00):
Okay, then I can't comp I'm going to hold it.
Speaker 5 (01:56:02):
I am.
Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
But that's your ball. Yeah, I got too.
Speaker 6 (01:56:06):
I'll take him to the gift shop and buy him
a ball, But I'm not going to give him that ball.
Speaker 3 (01:56:10):
I kid you not. You could, and next time you
guys are over you can. You can ask my wife.
We're at a game, gosh, early nineties, we are still dating,
and Griffy Junior hit a rocket foul and I kid
you not. I put my hand up and I caught it. Okay. Now,
when I say I caught it, I didn't catch it
as much as it caught me. It just it was
(01:56:32):
a rocket and it went like boom, right, in my hand,
and so you know instinctively it hurt so badly. It
hurt so bad I went like this and dropped it
into her lap, and everybody around me go, oh, is
it that sweet you? No, I didn't. It fell out
of my hand. I didn't give her ship give me
that ball back, woman like No.
Speaker 6 (01:56:54):
My wife and I will walking the concourse at Call
America this year, just maybe two months ago, and a
foul ball bounced on to the ground and people hear people. Oh,
my wife turned around and says, Tommy, it was my
one chance to get a ball.
Speaker 5 (01:57:11):
Of course I ain't.
Speaker 6 (01:57:12):
My wife got the ball.
Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
My wife got the ball.
Speaker 6 (01:57:16):
I'm standing right next door for it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:19):
No, of course not.
Speaker 6 (01:57:20):
I want my own.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
I should have knocked her ass to the ground, is
what I should have done. So if we go to
a game and catch the ball and I hand it
to you, would you accept it? No, you wouldn't even
accept it.
Speaker 5 (01:57:31):
No stands.
Speaker 6 (01:57:33):
I've gotten ball. I've gotten foul balls from like the
ball boy or a player. I don't count those. I
don't count those.
Speaker 3 (01:57:41):
I want my foul ball.
Speaker 6 (01:57:43):
Dale Barra knocked the soda out of my hand at
Shay Stadium. That drunk from the pirates and I didn't
get the ball still, but soda was everywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:57:52):
Steve Layman, do your work. I want a picture of
a bunch of five year old kids asking for a
ball from the usher and then there's Mass. Do your work,
nobody better of the business, right, that's your homework, assignon.
I want that by tomorrow, a bunch of five year
old kids asking it usher for a ball and there's
(01:58:13):

five year olds.
Speaker 6 (01:58:19):
Tigers Yankees tomorrow from the stadium.
Speaker 3 (01:58:21):
Can't wait? All right, JB. What else you got?
Speaker 5 (01:58:25):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:58:25):
No, that was it for me. Just know that the
internet is doing their thing with baseball Cairn as it
is right now. They are trying to find out who
this woman is, her socials and oh god, this woman
to the point that who knows what happened.
Speaker 6 (01:58:40):
I mean, they threw somebody's name out there that wasn't
the right woman.
Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
There were like two different names, right, yeah, I think
they threw two different names careful, and the one woman
had to put like on her Facebook page, it's not me, hey,
for you guys trolling, it isn't me. I don't know
where this started, but.
Speaker 5 (01:58:56):
It's not me.
Speaker 3 (01:58:57):
It's kind of funny.
Speaker 6 (01:58:58):
Be careful, all right, JB.
Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
Before we get out to hear what's the poll about
concern level for the Lions?
Speaker 5 (01:59:03):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:59:03):
The poll still not looking great for everything. What's your
level concern? After Game one of the Lions. High is
still sitting high at forty three percent mid forty and
low has hit seventeen.
