Riley was part of a much needed win.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Okay, a much needed win, make no mistake about that.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
Riley homered again, which did you say? It's a renaissance.
Renaissance He homered again, which is nice, right?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
He also had two more strikeouts, so.
Speaker 8 (04:39):
Just in case, and he hit two hundred yet.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
I think he's yeah, he's too.
Speaker 8 (04:43):
Short, Okay, yeah, he's too short. Big weekend, A huge weekend,
huge weekend.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
Good morning, how are you? It's football weekend.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Although it's weird because it's without Michigan State and it's
without Michigan that's a it's a that's a weird weekend.
Speaker 9 (04:59):
Man, some good games on this weekend.
Speaker 8 (05:02):
There's some good games though, And uh, you got any
high school stuff?
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Yeah, I'll be out at Clarkston tonight.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
So Wayne State's.
Speaker 10 (05:09):
At home tomorrow.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Uh mighty Quincy, Oh Quincy, yes mighty.
Speaker 8 (05:15):
What's Quincy's nickname?
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Oh gosh, why you put me on?
Speaker 8 (05:19):
You need you need to know it?
Speaker 5 (05:21):
Is it the Eagles?
Speaker 6 (05:22):
I think is the Eagle? I don't need to know
their nickname?
Speaker 10 (05:25):
Who cares?
Speaker 8 (05:26):
Where the hell is Quincy?
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Just towards the border of Missouri.
Speaker 8 (05:32):
Oh wow, way over there.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
I went there before. Yeah, I went there before. So yeah,
good time sad by all Lions of course, hosts the Browns,
we got you covered all day Sunday, all day Sunday.
Of course, Terry and Broder will get the day started,
Neil and I and Okayg's gonna be with us. Are
(05:54):
gonna be down at second best bar if you're going
to the game. Seriously, if you haven't been there yet, it's.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
A great spot. I mean it, it's it's.
Speaker 8 (06:00):
A great Get the Patty melt.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
Do they have a Paddy milk?
Speaker 8 (06:05):
It's unbelievable, no kidding, it's the best I've ever had.
I'm not I'm not. I'm not fooling.
Speaker 11 (06:11):
Huh.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
That good chicken sandwich is outstanding. Yeah, that's why I'd
even mentioned that. But the paddy melt right below the
chicken sandwich on the menu. You gotta get it.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
The wings are incredible, uh like real like to me,
real smoked wings.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
That's that's the coolest thing on earth to me. So yet,
come down and we'll have plenty.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Of sun cruisers as well. Can you tell them having
troubles with the headphones. I'm trying to fake it really good. Well,
you know what the thing is that that the equipment
works here real well. I don't know if you guys
knew that everything.
Speaker 10 (06:48):
Everything story about that.
Speaker 8 (06:51):
Everything works.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Well.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
How you guys feeling about this weekend?
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Seriously?
Speaker 8 (06:55):
I mean I'm thinking the Lions. I can't see Cleve
them scoring more than ten. Yeah, let's start there. I
can't see the Browns scoring more than ten. We gotta
score twenty four. So I say it's a fourteen point
win for the Lions, so they cover the nine and
a half. As far as the Tigers go three games
(07:15):
in Boston. We were just talking before the show. If
Boston kind of wraps up one of their spots, that'll
help us. We need maybe Houston to lose. If we win,
it's over one in one, it's over because then we're
a game ahead of them. Plus we own the tiebreaker,
so they have to win two. We have to lose
two for them to have a chance. So I think
(07:37):
the Tigers can wrap up a playoff spot. I just
see tonight.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
I want it done before Sunday.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Yeah, because if you have any chance whatsoever, If you
have any chance whatsoever, you need Terrek Scoobel to pitch
in Cleveland.
Speaker 10 (07:52):
That's a fact.
Speaker 8 (07:52):
Yeah, we don't want to pitch it on Sunday.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
He's scheduled on Sunday.
Speaker 8 (07:56):
We don't want that.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Don't want it.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Don't want it. I mean we might have to have it.
We might have to have it, right, Yeah, you might
have to send him out there if it's do or die.
I want Terrek Skoogle on the mound, right, But then
you face the prospect of going to Cleveland with Jack
for a best of three without Terrek on the mound.
Speaker 10 (08:19):
Okay, and maybe a bullpen.
Speaker 8 (08:21):
D Hey, bullpen worked last night. Pitching chaos, don't do
that pitching chaos, Troy Melton will vest three strikeouts to
end the game. I'm so happy for him. That's gutsy
to throw him back out there. And he struck out
all three in the ninth to get the to get
(08:41):
the save.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Please, I'm begging you don't start that again. It worked
last year.
Speaker 10 (08:46):
It was cute.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
Haha, giggle, giggle.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
But you just you're not You're not gonna have a
lot of success, all right, Can I so? Can I
very quickly go? Can I think out loud? Let's play
a game of pretend schoobl has to go Sunday. He
has to go. There's no debate, he has to go.
All right, KG you following me?
Speaker 10 (09:08):
Yep?
Speaker 5 (09:09):
The Tigers lose, he has to go. Could we legitimately
pitch him Sunday. Let's play a game of pretend we win?
Speaker 10 (09:19):
Okay, we get in.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
Yeah, everything's cool the series.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
So you have Monday off, Tuesday's game one, Wednesday's game.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
Two, Thursday.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Could you legitimately come back with him in a potential
game three?
Speaker 8 (09:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (09:36):
On four days rest?
Speaker 8 (09:38):
Hell yeah?
Speaker 10 (09:38):
I think you don't have much of a choice, do you.
Speaker 8 (09:41):
It would be three days rest and pitch on the
fourth Monday too.
Speaker 10 (09:45):
Yeah, pitch on the he's the best you got.
Speaker 12 (09:48):
Everybody else in the starting rotation isn't as reliable as him.
I don't think you have much of a choice in
that situation.
Speaker 10 (09:54):
It's only three.
Speaker 8 (09:54):
Games if you're gonna trade the guy anyway using.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Abuse, I'm telling you, you guys, just just I'm sure
you've probably heard the same stuff I've heard. There's a
lot of speculation that they might look to make a
deal in November. That's all I'll say. Now, if the
deal's not there. I mean, the one thing you can
say about Scott Harris, if there's a deal not there,
(10:20):
he's not gonna make the deal. You know, he's kind
he's kind of shown that. So if there's a deal
not there, perhaps he won't make the deal. I can't
imagine a deal not being there when you're talking about somebody.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Entertaining the prospect of Andy Terrek.
Speaker 8 (10:36):
Skoobel is think I make how much? Five hundred million?
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Probably?
Speaker 8 (10:41):
Probably?
Speaker 5 (10:42):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Eight eight years.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
I know that they're gonna go you know, Boris is
gonna go for the max.
Speaker 6 (10:51):
He's gonna go for ten. But let's start with eight years.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
And like I said, if I was an agent, the
first thing that I would do is I would look
at where the top is and it's Wheeler, correct Wheelers, Wheeler's.
Speaker 8 (11:06):
And he's gonna retire next year.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
I would look at Wheeler's number and just go like this, yeah,
really I would.
Speaker 9 (11:16):
Everyone's got a price.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Everybody tell me that wouldn't be. It's just like, do
you remember when Matthew Stafford, like.
Speaker 8 (11:24):
He was the first guy, he was the number one
paying quarterback for like three days.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Because Carr got his big deal. And I'm Matthew, like,
I'm doing that walk like this, walking into the Lion's.
Speaker 13 (11:35):
Room like this, I'm happy as a pig and shit
because I just Car just set the market, just set
the market?
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 6 (11:50):
And then you reset it? And then of course right
after that, nobody wanted to hear it.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Can you believe in Matthew Stafford's o highest Pat Aaron
Rodgers comes strolling him.
Speaker 10 (11:58):
What's upright?
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Right?
Speaker 5 (12:00):
That's that's just the way that it works. But right now,
that's what's happening. And you know what, if you're Paul
Schime's agent, you're gonna be doing the same thing.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
After school.
Speaker 8 (12:09):
He's not saying what Pittsburgh.
Speaker 10 (12:13):
As soon as possible as.
Speaker 8 (12:16):
They'll burn that stadium down. They hate the owner as
it is in Pittsburgh, and I don't blame them. Would
they one playoff since since?
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Uh?
Speaker 8 (12:24):
Since they won in seventy nine? It's awful.
Speaker 5 (12:28):
So are you confident? I'm gonna ask all you guys,
and you guys in the chat obviously Monday, are we
talking about a Tiger series in Cleveland? I wish you
had the camera on KG. No, listen to me. I
wish you had to catch because KG your reaction was
the exact same reaction that I have. I want to
(12:52):
be mad so badly, Like Mas immediately starts shaking his head.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
I wanted to be mad so bad. I can't do it.
Speaker 12 (13:01):
I want to take solace out of the wind yesterday.
But it's just like, I don't know, man, I don't
think that this is sustainable. And I mean if I
if you put a gun to my head, I would
say yes. But that's just the fandom. They like, I
have nothing else to go on, but the fandom at this.
Speaker 8 (13:16):
Point, are you ready? Are They're not gonna You're right,
They're not gonna be in Cleveland. Oh, No, they're gonna
be home. They're gonna win the division. Cleveland's coming to
co America and.
Speaker 10 (13:31):
A problem.
Speaker 8 (13:33):
I'm gonna be there on Tuesday.
Speaker 10 (13:37):
All right, JB.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
What do you think?
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Man?
Speaker 9 (13:42):
I love your confidence, but we're gonna be in Cleveland.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
So I have it on very good authority.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
Uh that the staff at Comerica Park has basically winter
rice the park.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
No, what if that they have that they have taken
a lot of the stuff.
Speaker 10 (14:03):
Uh, No, I'm stop it.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
I have it on very good authority.
Speaker 8 (14:09):
No, I want to sit in those heated seats.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
I have it on very good I haven't.
Speaker 14 (14:12):
I have it.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
No that that some of the things like I know
up in the press box.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
You know how they have that?
Speaker 8 (14:18):
You got them.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
They got that dispenser, the Pei dispenser, and you know.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Where you get the hot love that machine.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
They took that.
Speaker 10 (14:26):
No, they not expected it.
Speaker 8 (14:30):
I have it on very good that's machine.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
I'm just telling you, I have it on very good authority. Now,
I don't know the process if if if you know,
we we're so back and you have to run back.
Speaker 8 (14:42):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
I don't know the process of how difficult it would
be to get all that stuff back. But I have it,
I have it on very good authority that that there
were some winterizing activities that took.
Speaker 15 (15:00):
I just.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
I trust my source.
Speaker 8 (15:04):
How's that I get it? I think you should.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
I trust my source that there were some winterizing activities
that were done.
Speaker 8 (15:11):
Okay, all right, well no again.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
How difficult would it be? All right, let's put let's
put this machine back in, or let's do this, or
let's do that.
Speaker 8 (15:21):
Maybe he was swapping it out for a newer machine,
keeping hope of season machine. Yes, October ready.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
Well exactly, it's built for October.
Speaker 8 (15:35):
Built for October. Last year, was October ready? This year
is built for Octo.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
Okay, the old machine that's so suptempus.
Speaker 8 (15:44):
Get that new machine.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
This is this is built for October.
Speaker 8 (15:49):
God bless it.
Speaker 10 (15:49):
Right, take some of that sexual harassment.
Speaker 8 (15:52):
Listen, they're tied right now. If the Tigers outwin the
Cleveland audience this weekend, they host, they host.
Speaker 10 (16:05):
What did I miss that machine saying some things? That
old machine.
Speaker 8 (16:16):
That has.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Listen, you guys, I.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
Is that machine going to be called as a witness.
Speaker 10 (16:29):
The door where they.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Maybe they put it in hiding because they're they're worried
that it's gonna be a question.
Speaker 16 (16:41):
It's a question, right, they got rid of the machine,
got gosh so silly, all right, So.
Speaker 8 (16:49):
It's a great pepsi poor there by the way.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
You got it. You gotta find a way. You gotta
find a way to win, at least one in Boston.
Here we are, we're having these conversations.
Speaker 8 (17:00):
Good look, man, Kyle, Kyle Harrison goes tonight for Boston.
That was the guy they got in the Devers trade.
And Casey Mize goes for the Tigers.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
And undecided tomorrow.
Speaker 8 (17:13):
Yeah, that's okay.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
And you know you can, I can. I And I
made this joke the other day, all right, so we
have the woodword chat. And I made this joke the
other day, and and honestly, I think it it went
by everybody's head that was paying attention to it. Dude,
what is his name?
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Alfredo Figaroa?
Speaker 8 (17:34):
Mean to you?
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Do you remember the name Alfredo Figaroa?
Speaker 8 (17:37):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
Jim Leland thought it would be a great idea in
Game one sixty one. You know, Jim Leland lived on hunches,
Remember how he lived on hunches. He thought it'd be
a great idea to throw Alfredo Figaroa out there against
the White Sox and the second to last game when
we and the Twins were going for the fusion.
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Wow, there goes. We didn't win that game.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
No, he didn't win that game.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
He did, Alfredo Figaroa did not do well for us
that day.
Speaker 10 (18:06):
He's not like he's not gonna do.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
I completely forgotten.
Speaker 17 (18:10):
I remember that.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
I was. I was literally like I I remember, like
like stunned, like yeah, but Jim Leland, you know when
you would ask Jim Leland, I like hunches.
Speaker 8 (18:25):
Hunches are sometimes better than just going by the book,
like analytics, guys, Alfredo figure but it didn't work out
that time. But but it's Leland.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Let's bring back Figaroa.
Speaker 6 (18:38):
Alfredo. You're starting in Beattown on Saturday?
Speaker 8 (18:41):
Right?
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Is that cool?
Speaker 5 (18:43):
Good times?
Speaker 6 (18:43):
Head by all?
Speaker 5 (18:46):
So, I mean you guys, you guys know the routine.
I mean, the Astros have to make up two games. Yeah,
the Astros have.
Speaker 8 (18:54):
To make up two games, and they're gonna.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
If they sweep the Angels, if they sweep the Agee.
Who's home it's it's in Houston, right, Yeah, I believe.
Speaker 18 (19:04):
Yeah, here, look at look it up to be almost
I'm almost positive now right now, and and angels have
been Angels have been in in Angels have been in
mail in mode for a while anyway, right.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
They're always in it mail at mailing Road. Now it's
at l A.
Speaker 10 (19:19):
Oh is it?
Speaker 6 (19:19):
Oh boy? You just don't go into the Big A
and expect to come out of there with victory for Houston.
Speaker 8 (19:25):
Jason Alexander, George Costanzo, George Costanzo against Kyle Hendricks four
and two, verses eight and ten.
Speaker 6 (19:32):
So the the Astros, the Astros, Let's play a game.
Let's say they go sweep. Let's say they go sweep. Yeah, okay,
that means all the Tigers have to do is win
a game.
Speaker 10 (19:44):
Is that possible?
Speaker 8 (19:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:46):
This is where we're at, right This is where we're
at right now.
Speaker 17 (19:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (19:51):
Man, oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
Hey, we got Dan Miller coming up, actually about an
hour from now. Uh, well, we'll get his slant on
this game against the Browns. I'm tired of hearing about
how good the Browns defense is, Like, that's the old
bit for the week. You know what, our offense is
pretty good.
Speaker 10 (20:09):
They should be scared of our offense.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 8 (20:11):
I don't know if you you guys know that I
like short week, though's that's a downside for the Lions.
Speaker 10 (20:16):
Short week that'll be okay.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
I like our offense at home, me too, I do.
Speaker 17 (20:20):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
I like your offensive.
Speaker 12 (20:21):
Guarantee twenty one points at at least no, I guarantee one.
Speaker 19 (20:27):
Er.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
I will get some thoughts on the game. Get your
thoughts as well. Appreciate you tapping in. Don't forget Dan
Miller coming up at about nine to fifteen. Uh JB,

the order. Ooh, just by using promo code ten meal.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
And so can you. The Detroit original.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Been in the community, serving the community for seventy nine years. Yep,
save ten percent on your entire order simply by using
promo code ten meal. That's Buddies Pizza dot Com. All right,
welcome back and glad you could join us. Huge weekend
for the Tigers.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
Obviously, did they take the statues down as well?
Speaker 10 (25:13):
They might have.
Speaker 8 (25:14):
Did they cover them?
Speaker 10 (25:15):
They might have, We don't know.
Speaker 8 (25:16):
In the winter time, I don't think they covered on
a car still up in centerfield or they gone.
Speaker 10 (25:24):
Down they took the Chevy is a sprinkler off.
Speaker 8 (25:28):
I mean, you know, you know the you know the
thing that for home runs. Well, you know America Fountain.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
That's that's that's the ultimate winter rise. Did you did
you turn off the spring sprinklers off?
Speaker 6 (25:40):
Right?
Speaker 8 (25:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (25:40):
You know how they come out and they blow off
your system and everything.
Speaker 8 (25:44):
You can't have those freezing.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
I'll do some research, please, I'll do some research to see.
Speaker 8 (25:48):
If they thank you, thank you, But I don't think
they bring. They don't come in. They stay outside.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
They're really on wheels.
Speaker 22 (25:55):
I got it.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
Sorry, KG and I are going to tie one on
and like take Takabo way one day. Heels on there.
Speaker 8 (26:04):
Someone in the chat said, the ty cops statue scares them.
It should.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
Depends on what color are you? Yeah? What color?
Speaker 8 (26:16):
He's got a spikes up though, Yeah, that would.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Be that would be good. So we'll see a huge,
huge weekend obviously. Uh, all eyes are going to be
focused on the lines. Look, they're the big game in town.
It doesn't matter what's going on.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
You know what, I know it.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
They're the kings in this town. Football is king. The
Detroit Lions sit atop the throne.
Speaker 8 (26:36):
Uh d C.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
Calvin Shephard talking about Jack Campbell.
Speaker 22 (26:41):
Isn't that dude when I say you, he is all
ball and he embodies everything and his program is built
on in the I mean the man hours.
Speaker 8 (26:50):
Everybody knows Jack history.
Speaker 22 (26:52):
I don't got to sit up here and give you
a soliloquy about Jack Campbell. Uh, but he's he's he's
unbelievable and I'm very fortunate to be able to have
that player running his defense.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
Are so is it done?
Speaker 6 (27:05):
We don't get much Jack Campbell's slander anymore?
Speaker 8 (27:08):
Right, Oh god, it's done right way the way done? Okay,
all right, especially says he got a spike to the lips.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
I know, I know, I got a little.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
When I was doing the show in the offseason, there
were there were a couple of guys that were saying,
all typical Detroit player you always bitch about, you know,
people putting guys on petans.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
They don't belong In my mind, man, Jack Campbell is one.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
Of those guys.
Speaker 12 (27:33):
You must be fucking blind if you haven't seen what
Jack Campbell has been able to do over a three
year stretch.
Speaker 17 (27:38):
Man.
Speaker 12 (27:38):
He's only getting better from here. I think he's going
to be one of the premier linebackers in this league. Man,
I'm really excited.
Speaker 8 (27:45):
About He's Chris Spielman reborn.
Speaker 10 (27:47):
I think so. I think so, man.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
That's a big statement. I agree statement. Did you hear
me backing away from it?
Speaker 10 (27:55):
He's got the makeup, he already got the injury to
go with it. The torn peg.
Speaker 8 (28:01):
Grossest thing I've ever seen throw a fifty four on
the guy, let's go.
Speaker 10 (28:05):
They called him Jack the Lipper.
Speaker 8 (28:06):
Now I like that.
Speaker 6 (28:09):
Look at me rolled up above his pectorial.
Speaker 8 (28:12):
I remember, man, it was it was alien.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
I was waiting for that thing to come out.
Speaker 17 (28:18):
I just it was.
Speaker 8 (28:20):
I loved him gross honestly, I gotta test your knowledge,
your memory. In the Silver Dome there was a you know,
a bed sheet hanging from the upper deck representing Chris Pielman.
What did it say? I remember Chris's crew. Oh really
always hung up there upper deck fifty yard life.
Speaker 6 (28:40):
Now, uh, t A? Can we have a commit before
we hear from shep on th A? Whe Where are
we at? And what's going on with t A?
Speaker 5 (28:49):
Right now?
Speaker 10 (28:50):
I'm not freaking out.
Speaker 8 (28:51):
They're bringing him down a little bit. They're gonna bring
a meek Robertson up a bit, and t A is
gonna have some of his plays taken back. He's to
sit and watch a meek Robertson who's supposedly earned more
playing time. But they're definitely not giving up on the kid.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
No way.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
You can. You can spin it all you want.
Speaker 10 (29:11):
You know what this is?
Speaker 5 (29:13):
Okay, you can spin it all you This isn't about
t A it's about getting a meek more time. No,
this is about what's doing what's best for.
Speaker 10 (29:24):
Your football team.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
Correct, whether we want to admit it or not. Okay,
that that's what it is.
Speaker 10 (29:29):
But this isn't a permanent No, no, no, no, I'm
not saying it's over.
Speaker 6 (29:33):
I'm not at all.
Speaker 5 (29:34):
But I know that they're they're tiptoeing delicately this Well,
this isn't about him. This is about a meat. No,
it isn't. No, it isn't. It's it's it's about right now.
They feel that meat gives them a better shot.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
And this is more fuel for the people out there
that think that TA is a complete bust.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
And trust me, I'm gonna I'm in a group. You know,
we all have different groups. You have the Woodward group,
you have you know, my old neighborhood group. You have
the college friends group. Yet you know my neighborhood group. Okay,
those guys, like, I'm literally fighting it uphill battle with
every one of them about tis two.
Speaker 12 (30:11):
Years Lions fans is like the checklist. At one point
we were complaining about Jmo, when it's not Jamo's the
age rusher position as a rusher as TA like it's
as we can't. I'm just I'm sicking of baiting.
Speaker 8 (30:23):
The other day. We talked the other day, we talked
about maybe he's not a number one, but maybe this
is a way for him to learn a little bit, because,
let's face it, he got thrown into the fire last
year and with no pass rush, he did the best
he could. I mean, there's only so many guys that
could cover a person a receiver in the NFL for
(30:46):
five seconds without obviously giving up a big play. I
think this gives him a chance to heal up a
little bit and to get more ready to get back
on that field and do better because he has been victimized.
Let's face it, we've hardly heard DJ Reid's name because
(31:06):
they ain't going on his side. They're going at TA.
They're going at number six.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
Speaking of which SHEP is saying, we're not down on Tha.
Speaker 17 (31:19):
But.
Speaker 10 (31:23):
Now let's get to TA. It's the same thing.
Speaker 22 (31:24):
I stood in front of the unit and said, everybody
can point the finger at TA, but you know why
we were able to knock out the run game because
he was playing with no help behind him for probably
fifty percent of that game.
Speaker 10 (31:36):
Now it's no excuse.
Speaker 22 (31:37):
It's just the job you signed up where you signed
that contract as a corner in the NFL, you're expected
to do that.
Speaker 10 (31:42):
But let's make no mistake about it.
Speaker 8 (31:44):
I told Lelon, how.
Speaker 22 (31:45):
Would you like to go out there on that island
while you guys having fun in here in the box,
knowing there's nobody back there.
Speaker 10 (31:51):
So I want that to be said.
Speaker 22 (31:53):
It's not like this kid, I'm down on TA or
ta is having a bad year.
Speaker 10 (31:56):
That's not it.
Speaker 22 (31:58):
We're talking a few plays you play out there. Those
few players get exposed and highlighted a lot more than
it does in TIERR D. Lion might have gotten reached five, six,
seven times the same amount of times he's gotten beat
on the perimeter, but nobody's putting that in tab Leyid's
because it's not seen and exposed like a corner.
Speaker 10 (32:16):
So it's just growing pains.
Speaker 22 (32:17):
This kid's very young.
Speaker 8 (32:18):
I don't know what is he twenty two twenty.
Speaker 17 (32:20):
He's very young and he's still.
Speaker 22 (32:22):
In the developmental stages. All we have to do right
now is find a way to bring the confidence that
we saw when you were out there against Jameson Williams in.
Speaker 10 (32:30):
Saint Brown All Camp to a game day.
Speaker 17 (32:33):
That's all we got to do.
Speaker 22 (32:34):
And it's our jobs as coaches to help the player
and find a way to get that done.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
Eight. Let me tell you something, and I am not
this is not lip service. That's a good dude and
a good coach. Damn right, man, that's a damn good
and a dam that's a damn good man and a
damn good coach.
Speaker 8 (32:49):
He's blaming himself and the coaching And remember what we
said earlier this week, man, Hank Fraley, Wow, did he
do a job with those kids? Well, he did a
job with Mahagan. Well, it's Shepherd's deal to get this
kid up to stuff.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (33:06):
And I think the biggest probably statement that he made
and all that he's saying that the confidence that TA
had in camp, it apparently just isn't there right now.
Speaker 10 (33:17):
And this is one of the reasons why they're going
with a meat And I'm not.
Speaker 12 (33:21):
Mad at that because throughout camp we kept hearing Ta's
taking this leap, Ta's taking this leap.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
I think the coaching staff.
Speaker 12 (33:27):
Believed in what they saw during training camp, but so
far during the season, there's been some things.
Speaker 10 (33:32):
I don't know whether it's communication or just poor execution.
Speaker 12 (33:36):
There's been some things that he needs to tidy up,
but ultimately I don't think this is a total indictment
on TA. And that's where I think some fans need
to kind of step off the highway and real quick.
I just want to read some of these comments off
because and listen, guys. I know I'm spending at the
podium apparently, but I got to read some of these
TA comments. Shout out to Motown Art, Sports and Travel.
(33:58):
Ta's got a podcast, though, Derek Harp. If t A
was doing his job, he wouldn't be losing snaps, Tim Pennle,
he's worse than Jeff Okudah, Jesus Man, Jacob shine Barger.
Speaker 8 (34:13):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (34:13):
T A just needs to not panic and stop turning
in his back. He did that ish in college too,
all right, So.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
A couple of things. Who is the one guy? If
he was doing his job, he wouldn't be in this position.
That is a factual statement. If you want to argue that,
you you go ready to ahead, but you're you're gonna lose.
Speaker 10 (34:32):
They want t A to be the number two corner
on this team.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
So like there's no doubt about that.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
If he was like like, Okay, let's let's peel all
the fucking layers away.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
Okay. You you can put any kind of spin you
want it. And that's what that's what I was getting at.
Speaker 6 (34:47):
Let's call this for what it is.
Speaker 5 (34:49):
Okay. This isn't about a meet. They want to get
a meat more. This is about a meet helps the
team more. Okay, that's just that's the reality of this. Okay.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
But I'm not throwing away the baby with the bathwater
quite yet.
Speaker 10 (35:03):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (35:04):
And and KG, I will echo what you just said.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
If this was a talent issue, if this was if
this was more of a let me use another guy,
somebody brought up teas table. Okay, do you know what
we heard constantly out of teas table. I heard it
from the scouting staff. I heard it from from guys
on the staff. They said, everybody makes a big deal
(35:29):
about his lack of speed. Okay, all right, but what
you're talking about is a tenth of a second or
two tenths of a second reaching a handout to bat
a ball away.
Speaker 6 (35:39):
We'll make over compensate for that. No, teas table wasn't good, Yeah,
like really.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
Really, And and what hurt him even more is, yes,
he was slow, he was all the things that people
said about him before he was drafted. We saw it.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
We saw it. It manifested itself right in front of
our face. Jeff Okuda just wasn't good. I don't know
what the issue was.
Speaker 12 (36:04):
He was playing in the system that wasn't geared towards
his skill set, Like they ran a completely different offense
than what he was accustomed to at Ohio State. And
of course, with them having a win now mandate at
the time, they didn't have a choice. They thought he
was the best corner on the board.
Speaker 10 (36:18):
They took it.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
So I maybe I'm wrong. And if I'm being a slaptick,
you guys, go ahead and call me out. Competence issues
can be fixed, they can They can be fixed.
Speaker 6 (36:30):
Yeah, and simple things like Okay, dude, do not turn
your back.
Speaker 5 (36:36):
I Am going to attach a steel rod to your
freaking back to keep you from turning your back. Okay,
trust yourself, Trust, trust everything that happens. You don't have
to constantly go like that's that's stuff that can be fixed.
Speaker 12 (36:52):
And if you paid attention to the Ravens game, that
moment where DeAndre Hopkins was able to draw that pass
interference on him. You kind of saw it. You saw
the lack of confidence in Ta. He kind of got
punked in that moment, bro, and I said it, you know,
during the broadcast. I say it again now. That is,
you know, part of the maturation process for Ta not
getting goaded into silly you know files like the one
(37:13):
he committed on DeAndre Hopkins. Listen, this kid is gonna
be fine, man. I have no qualms about it. And
until further notice, until it becomes an issue, like you said,
where it's talent, I'm.
Speaker 5 (37:24):
Not really worried Mass is making faces, by the way,
is he I don't know if he's making faces, because no,
I don't know if he's making faces because like we
just saw three of the tiger statues go down Woodward,
I don't know if it was that as they continue
to winter ice co.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
America Park or is it about Ta? Is it about
t a man?
Speaker 9 (37:44):
You have the floor?
Speaker 8 (37:45):
Listen, man, I want the kid to be good, of
course I do. And I love him. I love his personality,
I really do. To me, a personality of a cornerback
is everything. If a guy has got and I'm gonna
just dumb it down for you, guys, I've been bowling
since I was eight years old. I'm in a terrible
(38:07):
slump because I have zero confidence zero. I'm not myself.
I'm like twenty pins under my average and I don't
even know how to make a freaking seven pin. Okay,
until I get the confidence back, I'm not gonna have fun.
I'm not gonna be good, and I dread going to
the bowling alley. This kid, I'm telling you, you're laughing
(38:30):
at me, Sean, I don't care. I'm dumbing it down
to a regular Joe. The kid has zero confidence zero.
He's not having fun on the field. He's having fun
off the field. As one of our chatter said, he's
got a podcast. He's whooping it up. He's a great host.
This kid. The kid has talent. We've seen the talent.
(38:51):
It's there. Last year he got a bum steer. No
one was rushing to part in the passer. This year
they are. So he's gotta step his game up. A
Meek Robertson is a dog. He's gonna watch him. He's
gonna help him. These guys aren't gonna let this kid fall.
The kids got talent and he'll be back.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
I hope the lions are watching, because I would love
I would love nothing more than Tom Masway motivational speaker.
Speaker 17 (39:17):
To go.
Speaker 10 (39:20):
Well, listen guys.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
And the next thing you know, you're pulling in a
lane down by the river.
Speaker 8 (39:29):
It's like.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
You gotta get up. Chris Farley.
Speaker 12 (39:40):
Got this podcast now, because that's about to be it's
already a talking point and I got so I hate
well and you know what, the reality everybody's got a pog.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
That has nothing to do with what's happening on the
field at all, nothing, zero, zilch, nada. It has nothing
to do with it. And and if you're if you're
looking to make that a strict a distraction, congratulations.
Speaker 8 (40:04):
It's is not a plan of a video game. He's
doing a podcast, right, same crap, same shit, like crap.
Speaker 6 (40:10):
Stop it. I know it's easy to pile on.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
I get it. A pod doing a podcast has nothing
to do with what isn't happening on the field. Nothing.
The two are not in any way, shape or form related.
I'm sorry you're looking for something. You're looking for something
at a point in time where you really don't need
to look at something, because KG, let's be honest, if
you're one of those guys that got mad at you
(40:36):
last year or me last year for saying, hey, stick
with this guy. Look look at the progression. You don't
have to say anything right now. He was just emotive. Yeah,
you don't have to look for anything else.
Speaker 6 (40:47):
Guess what. Right now you have the high ground you do.
Speaker 5 (40:51):
And now it's incumbent upon people like me and KG
or MAZ or JB to sit back and go, you're right,
you're right, but Je but he ain't done.
Speaker 10 (41:01):
Off a year and a quarter of a season. You
got just don't think that's it.
Speaker 8 (41:05):
Ain't right, man, they're coaching them. This is coaching. You
don't play well, you sit. That's the way it goes.
Although I think they would have should have waited a
week because hell, I don't think any I think everyone
could play cornerback against the Cleveland Browns. Who's gonna be
throwing the damn ball? What receivers do they have? This
would have been a game to maybe he got right.
(41:26):
This could have been a get right game. But I
understand it's coaching.
Speaker 10 (41:31):
It's not like he's not gonna play either. He's gonna
be on the field. His snap count is just coming down.
Speaker 8 (41:35):
Send your ass down, kid, do what I tell you,
or you're gonna sit on the bench.
Speaker 23 (41:39):
But it's the proper way of coaching that the way
that they're going about. You're not just throwing him on
the bench and then putting them down at the bottom
of the depth chart. No, they are taking a step
back to tell him like, hey, these are some things
you need to work on.
Speaker 10 (41:51):
Follow this guy.
Speaker 23 (41:52):
He knows what to do, which is what they're doing
with the meek, and like, hey, giving him like kind
of a tutor pretty much. He following me, and then
we'll put you back out there.
Speaker 8 (42:01):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (42:03):
Yep, that's what it's almost like.
Speaker 5 (42:07):
Boy, if I can only think of a word, it's
almost like there's a really good culture here. Oh is
that a word I can use?
Speaker 6 (42:14):
Do you think I could use culture?
Speaker 10 (42:16):
I think it's called grit.
Speaker 5 (42:19):
That's a great idea. Yeah, and we're coming. You know what,
Maybe they're built for October.
Speaker 8 (42:26):
They are.
Speaker 6 (42:28):
I would have built for February.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
You're right, I know we're up against it.
Speaker 6 (42:33):
A JB.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
I'm gonna try my best. We'll come back. Shep talked
about Derek Barnes. Derek Barnes another one of those guys. Look,
I thought he was a perfect.
Speaker 6 (42:41):
Fit for this team.
Speaker 5 (42:42):
You know, play that wham. I think this is a
guy that's a perfect fit for the team. They're loving
this guy. I think the fan base is loving him
as well. JB, where are we going?
Speaker 9 (42:50):
Oh we got to hear from black Rock and Sharon's
Heating and Air.
Speaker 23 (42:53):
But first let me clear up these super chest shout
out to Burns instant.
Speaker 9 (42:58):
He said at the sol Lions.
Speaker 23 (43:00):
Would have just left Ta out there to get smoked
every week and then wonder why his confidence is gone.
Speaker 5 (43:06):
Dude, you're always on point. That's exactly we're not. We're
not throwing the baby out with the bath flock. Oh
it's not.
Speaker 6 (43:12):
It's not happening. There's something to work with here. It
takes time.
Speaker 5 (43:17):
You're on the island as your herd shops say all right,
let's let's let's take out the screwdriver, tighten the screws,
and let's get this guy going absolutely.
Speaker 9 (43:26):
And another one from burn five dollars he sends in.
Speaker 23 (43:29):
Ta suffers from being drafted in the first round of
twenty twenty four. Move our starting guard Mahogany from the
sixth to the second round of the twenty twenty four draft.
Speaker 9 (43:38):
I think people will chill.
Speaker 10 (43:41):
Yeah, it's hard, argum.
Speaker 8 (43:43):
You gotta live up to your building sometimes the way
it is. He hasn't lived up to it yet. We
hope he will. Where's thatis? Rakestraw? By the way, Sorry,
let greener Hank Greenbergs just passed to be cool. Hey, guys, look,
if a dinner players that sizzle, head the Black Rock
Bar and Grill, Home of the Steak on the Stone.
Try their steak and lobster just nineteen ninety nine for
(44:05):

some of Braylan's beef twenty ounces of handcut New York

ninety nine fish and chips all day, every day. Cheesy
pull apart bread. They got great ribs, great chili back
for a limited time only. Don't forget the lions win.
You win. After a Lion's victory, come on in and
(44:28):
grab a free appetizer only at Black Rock Grill.
Speaker 5 (44:32):
You know there's a lot of winter rising going on
right now, and perhaps co America Park called Sharon's Heating
and air Conditioning. Next Wednesday is October and coincidentally, the
temperatures are plumbing.
Speaker 8 (44:45):
Do are we gonna celebrate on Wednesday? Probably a favorite month?
Speaker 5 (44:48):
Yes? Probably, Well, let's have a favorite month party. Yes,
but listen the temperature the highs are going to be
in the sixties again, the lows you're creeping back down
to the forties. Why don't you call a company that
is s this area for over forty years and that
Sharon's Heating and Air Conditioning. They offer it all heating, cooling,
indoor air quality, water heaters, whole home generators and memberships
(45:13):

Chep coming up at two o'clock, and of course the

(49:17):
come out, come say hello, second best bar. I mean
literally just down the road from Ford Field. We'd love
to see you out there. Dan Miller joining us in
about twenty five minutes.
Speaker 6 (49:29):
All right, I love doing this.
Speaker 5 (49:31):
Mass does a good job putting the sound together and
letting you know what some of the combatants are talking
about heading into a game at Ford Field. Derek Barnes
is another one of those guys. I think it took
people a little bit one man's opinion. You guys tell
me if I'm wrong. I think it took people a
little bit to realize what this guy means to the
(49:54):
coaching staff. This is a coaching staff in a front
office that has had eyes on this guy for a reason.
Speaker 6 (50:03):
Here's shop on Derek Martins.
Speaker 22 (50:05):
You ask Brad what he means. At my defense, I
said that was a player I had to have. I did,
and everybody said, well, the stats are just average. I
told him that's a player I have to have. I
have to have Like that is literally my little brother
on and off the field. I know he looks up
to me and that means a lot to me. But
outside of that, I believe this kid can play four
(50:27):
or five spots on the football field and do it
at a high level. He can play all three stack
backer spots, he can play defensive end. So when you're
able to have a player like that, you see him
out in the APEX in eleven personnel, which is really
a nickel spot. So when you have a player like that,
it allows you that ability to present the same looks
(50:48):
pre snap and then post snap, be able to play
a different variety of coverages, different variety of pressure packages,
and things like that.
Speaker 8 (50:58):
Two Hard Doc a couple of years ago, and you
remember when Dan Campbell h Kelvin Sheppard went up to
him and says, hey, hey, coach, you want me to
you know, clean up my hair, want me to cut
it down, look like a coach. What did Dan Campbell
say to him? KG? Hell, no, I want you to
be you. This guy This guy could be a head
(51:23):
coach one day, that's how motivating he is. I pray
that this defense reacts under him the way I think
it's going to react under him. Obviously, talent wins. We've
been saying that for this day one. But this guy
is a master motivator.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
Whatever will we do if we lose him as a coordinator.
We'll never be able to.
Speaker 8 (51:45):
Recover from that.
Speaker 5 (51:46):
Just hang it up.
Speaker 10 (51:47):
Just we won't even play defense anymore, just all offense.
Speaker 5 (51:49):
You guys, you know what these are. These are real
world problems that real franchises.
Speaker 8 (51:54):
Have, good franchise, and we weren't a real franchise. No
one wanted us stuff for a vast majory of years.
Speaker 5 (52:00):
So you guys better get used to that. So hopefully,
hopefully you put all that ship like like in the
garbage where it belongs. Because honestly, the National Football League
is full of teams. What's the word that people say
all the time To your point, Matt Mass this is
a copycat league. And so with a copycat league, you
(52:21):
know what happens if you're having success here, KG deserves
a bigger rule. I'm going to get KG right now. Hey, KG,
you don't want to be it. You don't want to
be a coordinator on the Morning show, man, you're your
own fucking man. We're gonna put right.
Speaker 10 (52:39):
Here, really right here, wow right, Yeah, of.
Speaker 5 (52:44):
Course you're gonna jump at it. I wouldn't blame Kage.
I'd give him a tip of the cap. Now, if
kg went to the Bears, I'd say, fuck him, and I'm.
Speaker 6 (52:52):
Done with you.
Speaker 5 (52:53):
I mean, no good luck, no good luck, just just like, oh,
he's going to the Bears, Well cool, you're doade to
me and we'll we'll we'll move on.
Speaker 6 (53:02):
And then when he's done with the Bears, I'll go.
Speaker 8 (53:05):
Jazy a right, we'll we'll hook it out and all.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
That stuff and maybe have some pepsi with the statues
at Comerica Park.
Speaker 6 (53:13):
Fun times.
Speaker 10 (53:14):
Ask the machine about what they.
Speaker 6 (53:15):
Saw, right, put that spotlight on it, right, what if
you see talk you guys, we better get used to that.
Speaker 5 (53:26):
And and you know what, if this season is as
successful as we think it is, you don't think another
team's gonna swoop in and try to talk to one
of our guys.
Speaker 10 (53:36):
Most coordinators want to be head coaches in this league.
Speaker 12 (53:39):
There are some coordinators that's just cool with being coordinators
and all power to them, but most coordinators want the
opportunity to have one of thirty two jobs in the world.
Speaker 6 (53:48):
Hey, mister Fraley, mister Frayley.
Speaker 8 (53:50):
Uhuh, he's a coordinator. That happen? Would you like it?
Speaker 6 (53:55):
How about you run our offense a fresco?
Speaker 5 (53:59):
Right?
Speaker 17 (53:59):
You know?
Speaker 6 (54:00):
I mean seriously, that's that's what would happen.
Speaker 8 (54:02):
What happened in the old day, Sean remind everybody when
a guy coached the Lions, what happened to him after that?
He went nowhere nowhere? It was over, So his career
was over.
Speaker 5 (54:12):
So yeah, we better, Hey you guys, maybe sheep's next.
Maybe the phone's ringing off the hook this offseason for real?
Like better, we better, We better start thinking about it, right.
Speaker 10 (54:26):
Yeah, And I mean there's something to think about.
Speaker 12 (54:29):
I hope that maybe they kind of do what ag
and Ben Johnson did do when they were here, because
they could have went cycles ago, especially Ben Johnson in particular,
but they decided to stay because they had quote quote
work to do and they really wanted to try and
chase a Super Bowl. They didn't get there, but they
did stay a couple of years longer than they probably
(54:49):
could have because they wanted to see the success of
this team.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
AG's star in particular, in my mind, and I remember
talking about this last year with you, KG. In my mind,
his star went like that, Oh absolutely, it just it's skyrocketed.
Ben was already there. Yes, everybody right that but a
g ag star sky I remember a Viking fan this.
(55:14):
I love you guys like I can't wait to see
y'all again. I know that you're in here right now.
Shout out to you guys. You guys watch incessantly. Okay,
I pinch your cheeks every morning. I remember a Viking fan.
I shit you not, this is real. I could I
could look this up. He was watching the show, and
he took great offense when I suggested that Aaron Glenn
(55:35):
was going to be a head coach in the National
Football League last year, and and and and My favorite line, okay,
and I don't think people think this out to its
logical conclusion is when somebody says, I can't watch this show.
Speaker 6 (55:50):
Okay, but you're talking about something that we said in
our chats.
Speaker 5 (55:55):
Oh okay, ain't nobody in the National Football League interested
in Aaron Glenn. That's what a living breathing organism said
after we beat them last year in Minnesota, makes sense,
like like, think of are you not paying attention? I mean,
the dude's name was being bandied about everywhere, man, like,
knock it off.
Speaker 6 (56:16):
That's what happens when you have a good team, period,
end of story. So I mean, as much as.
Speaker 5 (56:23):
We talked about it, the fact that we had to
talk about it, let's nip it in the butt and
let's not do that again next year.
Speaker 8 (56:30):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (56:30):
Chances are if.
Speaker 5 (56:31):
We're as good as we think we are, and we are,
people are gonna come looking to pluck off our tree again.
It's just like that money tree. Okay, I planted that
twenty dollars money tree in my backyard. All right, Well,
my daughter's not gonna let all those pretty twenty dollars
just sit on the tree. She's gonna go back there
and just pluck them all off, right.
Speaker 8 (56:55):
Though.
Speaker 6 (56:55):
I have never had a human being in my life
that just just just gets every red cent on.
Speaker 8 (57:04):
Gosh, damn, I got that times three.
Speaker 11 (57:06):
Bro.
Speaker 5 (57:07):
I'm so happy when she comes home. But then when
when she comes home, like honestly, it's like, oh, what's
the matter. You have a back pain.
Speaker 6 (57:14):
No, my ass hurts because my wallet just got lighter.
Speaker 5 (57:17):
Yeah, I'm so tired of it.
Speaker 8 (57:19):
Oh my god. As long as Dan Campbell's here, guys,
we're in good hands. We're in good hands. Uh.
Speaker 5 (57:26):
Johnny Morton on the wide receiver blocking, you cannot you
cannot put a price tag.
Speaker 6 (57:31):
That shit is contagious.
Speaker 10 (57:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
I watch KG put a text book block. Okay, you
know what I want to do. I look at Mass
and I go Mass, did you see that, dude? Okay,
next next, I want.
Speaker 8 (57:48):
To do that.
Speaker 6 (57:48):
That shit is contagious. And that's kind of the dynamic
going on with the Lions right now.
Speaker 26 (57:55):
Right ends and receivers that block the way they do
with both effort and execution. What kind of confidence flexibility
does that give you in the run game and the
play action game?
Speaker 2 (58:08):
A lot?
Speaker 15 (58:09):
I mean, it's the best I've ever seen my twenty
eight years of coach and the way these wide receivers block,
the way Scotty gets these guys to play. I don't
think there's too many teams now, the Rams, when you
know Cooper Cup and those guys, they do the same thing,
you know, I mean, they get after, they take pride
at it It's just like you know, I always always
(58:30):
told the White House man, when the tight ends and
the old line and backs, they're blocking for us. You know,
when a time time comes our turn the block from them.
We got to do the same thing. That's the beauty
about this team. I mean, just it's so team oriented
and nobody cares about how many balls this and that.
It's just about winning. And when we do that, man,
we're pretty good.
Speaker 5 (58:50):
Specific is to me what he just said at the
end there. You can't put a price tag on that,
and I'm gonna do. I'm gonna talk about where I work.
You know, it's really cool about where I work. Nobody
pays attention to that shit. Yeah, that's I'm serious, No
nobody pays attention to that shit. I have been at
(59:12):
places where this dude is jealous of that dude, who's
jealous of that dude, who's jealous of that dude?
Speaker 6 (59:19):
And I'm serious, I there's none of that shit here.
There's none of that shit here. And that's that's what's
so cool about working at this place.
Speaker 5 (59:28):
Like I've always been the person if I was the
morning show and somebody else was the afternoon show and
they had great ratings. I'm gonna walk up to him, go, dude,
way to go okay, And you gotta trust me when
I say this. There are some guys that like are
almost mad that you're doing well. It's really weird.
Speaker 6 (59:49):
I don't get that.
Speaker 27 (59:50):
And and so when he said that, like these dudes
aren't paying attention to that stuff, like like it's it's
the main goal is to win together and then everything
else will come into place.
Speaker 6 (01:00:04):
Everything.
Speaker 8 (01:00:05):
There's not a loafer on this team. There's not a
guy that takes a playoff. If you take a playoff,
you are not going to be in that game. You
will instantly be pulled off that field. And that's what
I think happened to CJGJ. You know, he got all
up and decided. Remember that San Francisco game and we
were up seventeen points and he's on the bench and
he's pointing at the San Francisco fans, Hey laughing at him,
(01:00:28):
and then they toasted him the whole second half and
he's not here. You're not doing that crap. It's all
everyone is all in. That's it.
Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
You know, it's gonna be interesting. And this is another
real world problem. When we win, not if when we win,
then things get different because then you have to deal
with well, it's a great idea to keep the band together, okay,
but the impetus of winning is now gone. You've all
(01:01:00):
done that, yes, and now you start to look and
you see, well, maybe there's more for me over there,
and maybe there's more for me over there that that's
something that And don't get me wrong, I'd love to
have that conversation because that means we've won a super
Bowl and that means I can dance on my grandfather's
grave like that.
Speaker 6 (01:01:17):
That's that Like, yeah, we'll have that conversation.
Speaker 5 (01:01:20):
I'm cool with it, all right, Morton. You know On
what a tough and arduous job it is to have
such a less than running back in his room Monty, Oh.
Speaker 15 (01:01:32):
Man, he's just a stud. How he works, a true professional.
It reminds me of a lot of guys I've coached it. Man,
they just take it everything. It's like I've come into work,
I got my my lunch pail, I got my hard hat.
Every day brings it no matter what. And then when
he gets his rep, he goes full steam.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Man.
Speaker 15 (01:01:50):
It's pretty cool, both those backs. It's pretty cool watching
those guys, and it carries over to the game and
it's contagious. The young guys see how they all these
veteran guys work. It's pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (01:02:01):
Boo, the other guy's so much better. Boom. Don't give
David the.
Speaker 6 (01:02:05):
Rock boo.
Speaker 10 (01:02:08):
Softest running back I ever seen him. Oh, that guy
he's so afraid of contact is crazy.
Speaker 6 (01:02:14):
Bro steps out of bounds all the time.
Speaker 10 (01:02:16):
Yeah, does not like that run between the tackles.
Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
Isn't that like back in the day people would say
that about Maz I'm going old school for you. Franco Harris,
Oh god, I'm tired of the guy walking out of bounds.
David Montgomery constantly walks out of bounds. I've seen him fall.
Speaker 8 (01:02:32):
No, no, Franco saved himself though.
Speaker 6 (01:02:36):
If you're new to the show, if you're new to
the show, let me put this.
Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
We love him.
Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
We like that he has a chip on his shoulder
and like he feels that he's not getting enough love
and respect, so we want to keep him pissed off.
Speaker 10 (01:02:50):
Okay, it's a year of reckoning so far he's holding.
Speaker 5 (01:02:55):
There's gonna be reckoning now right, somebody's gonna pay, and
pay dearly.
Speaker 10 (01:02:59):
You'll you must be playing.
Speaker 6 (01:03:00):
They must be punished. Okay, So don't don't yell at
KG or JB or master myself. Don't tell anybody th boom.
Montgomery's bad. He's really bad.
Speaker 5 (01:03:11):
Very quickly, how about we get Morton on what he's
seeing about those two biggs up front.
Speaker 8 (01:03:18):
Ever and Silver, the two highest graded tackles from week three.
Speaker 6 (01:03:21):
How have you seen them grow and lead through these
first three weeks?
Speaker 15 (01:03:25):
I mean, looks pretty good. I mean we're winning, uh,
I mean the quarterback they ain't really get hit. It's
pretty special when you got two tackles like that and
the quarterback is feeling good about that, you know, and
the other guys are coming along too.
Speaker 10 (01:03:41):
It's a stain't them.
Speaker 15 (01:03:42):
It's everybody but those two guys. When you don't you know,
you don't have to do a lot of chips in
there and that and aren't even in the run game.
It's pretty special when you've got two guys like that.
It's just a it's a comfort zone for everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
This was going to be a process, and it seems
like it's coming together quicker than we thought. Even the
people that were worried about this, that that knew for
just continuity's sake, that there was going to be some
period of adjustment and and and getting used to one another.
And I think we're seeing right now that this is
(01:04:18):
really really starting to come together quicker than anybody thought.
How about uh, Special teams coach Dave Fipp talking about
Jake Bates and that touchdown saving tackle.
Speaker 7 (01:04:31):
I was big Bigg's touchdown saving tackle on the runback.
Speaker 19 (01:04:36):
How much, if at all, has he been coached on
that and just can you assess his technique?
Speaker 28 (01:04:42):
We'd prefer him not making the tackle, but I would
say that anytime we're in coverage, we do talk about
covering with eleven guys, and I told you guys earlier
in the year. You know the challenge with the players.
There's short numbers unless you're counting on the kicker, so
we like to keep them out of it. But uh,
part of that play is going to be the this
guy's making some plays at some point and help minimize
(01:05:03):
the damage. You obviously did a great job with that.
Like I said, we'd like to cover it a.
Speaker 22 (01:05:08):
Little bit better.
Speaker 28 (01:05:11):
No, we don't really work much on it. I did
think you did a good job. He kept his head
out of it. That's the first thing you worry about.
And I went low on the guy didn't stay up, hie.
He wasn't awkward and he just did a nice cut tackle.
Really so well done by him. I'd like to take
credit for it.
Speaker 19 (01:05:26):
But now.
Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
Get between the legs, man, no other way. Throw your
body out there, get an arm between the legs.
Speaker 8 (01:05:33):
Perfect tackle.
Speaker 6 (01:05:34):
That's all you have to do.
Speaker 8 (01:05:36):
Perfect.
Speaker 10 (01:05:37):
He's a brick salesman for a reason that he was
a brick sales.
Speaker 6 (01:05:40):
You gotta have the bravery to do it, though. Man,
you see a missile running at you. I can, I can.
Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
I can get the ola aspect of things. Okay, but
if you old lay there, that bowl's going to the touchdown.
Speaker 8 (01:05:51):
Remember, Garol, your premium and Super Bowl seven you get
to cut the Dolphins of Redskins. The kick is blocked
from my ami, Mike Bass of the Redskins is running
down the sidelines and the kicker, Garrel, You're premium for
the Dolphins just whifted on the tackle. Why did nothing
to do with Mike Bass almost wound up losing that
damn game.
Speaker 5 (01:06:12):
Do you remember how many times they would they would
spot like Dion doing that back in the day Dion
made business decisions sometimes.
Speaker 6 (01:06:23):
Sat Brown talking about his quarterback, Jared Goff.
Speaker 10 (01:06:26):
He does it each and every year.
Speaker 11 (01:06:29):
He's accurate, He gets us in the right place, and
I played there's a lot of stuff that you don't
see on TV.
Speaker 10 (01:06:34):
That you you know only internally you would know what
he's doing. But he's smart, he's accurate, he's tough. I
think he's tougher than a lot of us gipping credit for.
Speaker 11 (01:06:41):
Yet he's not running running prefers down and stuff, but
he still takes hits. Like since I've been here for like,
I don't think I've ever seen him like complain about
an injury, even though I know he's had like he's
had little things here and there, but he never talks
about it. He hasn't been missed like one practice is
I've been here. So he's tough, he's everything.
Speaker 14 (01:07:03):
You want to quarterback.
Speaker 5 (01:07:04):
There's a lot of genuine respect for these guys, for
Jared Goff, and I think the one thing that professional
athletes can relate to that we can't relate to is
this is a guy that a lot of people thought
he was done. And lets face it, in a certain regard,
perhaps he was publicly humiliated by his former franchise and
(01:07:29):
a lot of guys I got cheated on, man, I
told you that, no, and I listen, KG, I say
it all the time. What I saw to that guy
his last couple of years. I didn't expect anything from
him here. He looked like a shot quarterback.
Speaker 8 (01:07:40):
He did.
Speaker 10 (01:07:40):
He had to prove it. That's one thing with Jared Goff.
Speaker 12 (01:07:44):
He had to go out there and prove the naysayers
wrong because I think a lot of Lions fans had
reserves about him when he came over in that trade.
Speaker 10 (01:07:52):
But what he's been since then is is unimaginable.
Speaker 8 (01:07:55):
Man.
Speaker 10 (01:07:55):
Is literally I would argue that he is the best
Lions quarterback ever.
Speaker 12 (01:07:59):
And I know Stafford has all the records and everything
as of right now, but what Golf has done for
this franchise, I believe outweighs anything Matt Stafford did in
this town.
Speaker 10 (01:08:08):
And you know that's no shade, per se. But I
think Jared Goff.
Speaker 12 (01:08:11):
Is just he's taking it to another level, man, and
he has really put this team in a position to
win a super Bowl now more than ever before.
Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
Really appreciate Eric Wordard for that. And now you got
Jamo throwing some love. Shout out to Brad Galli for
this Jamo talking about golf. Some pretty big praise coming up.
Speaker 29 (01:08:31):
We're back to a point in the football season where
everyone around the NFL sees Jared put together a good
performance in primetime and they.
Speaker 10 (01:08:36):
Go, oh, my god, this guy is good. What makes
him so good in the league where.
Speaker 11 (01:08:39):
There are Josh Allens and Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson's
running with their feet and throwing to do with different things, you.
Speaker 30 (01:08:44):
Know, everybody like you just said, you just name me
three guys who can use their feet, and I feel
like he's just as good as them, if not better,
without using his feet. You know, he has a lot
of precision. You know, he's a great quarterback if you
just sit back and watch. I can't watch him all
the time because I'll be in the game, but you know,
watching film, you know, you just see like why he
does things and how he does things. You know, it's
(01:09:05):
all the way back from you know, all the time
he's been playing in the league, even with the Rams.
You know, he's been a great quarterback. He's made great throws,
precision throws. He puts it on the spot and everything.
Speaker 10 (01:09:15):
For the receivers.
Speaker 30 (01:09:16):
He helped receivers in the game.
Speaker 10 (01:09:17):
And you know, it's just it's awesome playing with him.
Speaker 8 (01:09:20):
I love playing with him.
Speaker 5 (01:09:23):
You know, it's funny in this town. And I can
hear stick yelling at me right now. Okay, Jared Goff
is not amongst the best.
Speaker 6 (01:09:30):
Quarterbacks in the National Football League.
Speaker 14 (01:09:32):
He isn't.
Speaker 6 (01:09:33):
And I know some of you are probably mad at
me right now.
Speaker 5 (01:09:36):
You know the things that other guys can do with
their feet, Yeah, that sets them apart. Okay, I'm very
happy that Jared Goff is the quarterback of the Detroit
Lions and an offense that's basically built for a guy
like Jared Goff. I'm very very happy with that.
Speaker 8 (01:09:50):
He is one of the best throwers of a football and.
Speaker 10 (01:09:54):
As accurate passer.
Speaker 8 (01:09:56):
And that thing, I argue that at all he put
that thing a bucket.
Speaker 10 (01:10:02):
He is going to That's the best pass I've ever
seen golf throw that.
Speaker 8 (01:10:07):
That's on fourth down, man, that thing perfect museum.
Speaker 5 (01:10:12):
And the Lions know what he is and therefore put
him in positions of comfortability. Imagine that, not asking a
guy to be something that he isn't. Imagine that, Yeah,
I know, right, but it's the same thing we're running quarterbacks.
Speaker 12 (01:10:23):
If you have a smart offensive staff, they will build
a game plan that suits your play style and the
things that you can do on the field.
Speaker 10 (01:10:31):
And Jared Goff is no different man.
Speaker 12 (01:10:32):
But I just think he doesn't get enough respect from
the standpoint of being a thrower of the football, because
at the end of the day, that's what the QB
position is. It's about throwing the damn football and he
is one of the best at it.
Speaker 10 (01:10:45):
Like, you can't argue that.
Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
And it comes back to what people like I have
been saying one hundred times you cannot put enough into
protecting your quarterback and getting after the opposition's quarterback. That's
a national foot absolutely, and the lines have done a.
Speaker 6 (01:10:59):
Damn job of protecting him.
Speaker 8 (01:11:01):
And here we are.
Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
Here, we are all right, Dan Miller coming up in
a couple month moments JB. Where we're going.
Speaker 23 (01:11:08):

Speaker 9 (01:11:12):
But first let me clear up the super chest.
Speaker 23 (01:11:14):
Shout out to video editor sending in the super chest
and ta, we don't trust I think he is. Biggest
NFL moment was announcing the twenty twenty five, seventieth pick
and Isaac Tesla still keep the daycare over.
Speaker 10 (01:11:32):
For himself, not the daycare. Come on vv come on man.
Speaker 23 (01:11:38):
He also sent in one ninety nine as well. He
said we should have never let Carlton Davis Wong. I
don't know about that when the man wanted fucking too
much money.
Speaker 10 (01:11:48):
Very much money.
Speaker 5 (01:11:50):
Sorry.
Speaker 10 (01:11:51):
DJ Reid is just as good, if not better.
Speaker 6 (01:11:53):
I will take DJ all day.
Speaker 10 (01:11:54):
He's healthier.
Speaker 6 (01:11:55):
I know that.
Speaker 5 (01:11:55):
Yep, no doubt.
Speaker 8 (01:11:57):
Lock Wood and one more from video editor.
Speaker 23 (01:12:00):
He says Cliff Ayrol and Jeff backis random. Only real
ones know.
Speaker 10 (01:12:05):
No, that's a fact shout out.
Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
I got that.
Speaker 6 (01:12:09):
I got that.
Speaker 5 (01:12:11):
Shout out for sure.
Speaker 6 (01:12:12):

Speaker 6 (01:16:42):
Let's welcome him in, the one and only Dan Miller.
Speaker 5 (01:16:46):
Danny, really appreciate you giving us the time as always,
And you know this is one of those teams that
coming into this game. I think it's safe to say
everybody in Lion Nation was probably watching the green Bay
Packers and the Cleveland Browns last week at about three
forty five, and we got a little taste of what
(01:17:06):
we're gonna see at Ford Field on Sunday.
Speaker 7 (01:17:10):
Yeah, because at three forty it's ten to nothing and
you're figure in, green Bay's just gonna win the game.
Speaker 17 (01:17:16):
So that was a quick turn of events and a
huge mistake.
Speaker 7 (01:17:21):
By green Bay to allow them to get back in
that game and ultimately win it. And you know, just
looking at the game and I'll watch it more tonight
and reading a lot of the things that I read
about the game, it just felt like, if green Bay
could have done anything on offense, they're gonna win that game.
But that's number one, a couple of mistakes by green Bay.
Number two, this is a legit defense that Cleveland brings in.
(01:17:44):
Jim Schwartz has those guys playing really well.
Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
That's what I was what jumps out to you about
this team. I mean, listen, say what we want about
Jim Schwartz. This is a guy that is kind of
waived the magic wand a few times with some of
his defenses. What jumps out about this defense, because you're right, Dan,
the proofs in the putting. All one has to do
is look at the numbers.
Speaker 7 (01:18:05):
Well, obviously one of the best players in the league,
that's the first thing that jumps out at you. And
Miles Garrett he is just he's a game wrecker. I mean,
he's just one of those guys that can can change
a game in one snap. And there's a handful of
those guys in this league and he's one of them.
And then look, when you can stop the run, when
you are able to control the other team and make
(01:18:27):
them one dimensional, then at that point, it's what you've
set out to do because you take away half of
what they're trying to do. I mean, they're giving up
fifty four and a half yards a game on the ground.
They're by far the number one team in the league,
which is crazy. You know, those are numbers you would
figure they're not going to be able to sustain. But
(01:18:48):
through three weeks it's what they've been able to do.
So look, we've all been doing this forever, and every
coach that.
Speaker 17 (01:18:55):
You go up to and ask them about the other
team's offense that and you say Hey, what do you
want to do?
Speaker 7 (01:19:01):
The first thing they always say is stop the run,
and Cleveland's doing that.
Speaker 17 (01:19:06):
So it's a good place to be. And again, you know,
full credit to Jimmy. He's a heck of a defensive coach.
Speaker 7 (01:19:13):
And as you said, Sean, he has been in a
couple of different places and he's doing it again here
and it's gonna be that. That is what you're gonna
have to contend with. They're not taking the ball away
a lot, so that's gonna be.
Speaker 17 (01:19:26):
A key in this game.
Speaker 7 (01:19:27):
Not giving them empty possessions from Detroit, giving them short fields,
making it easy on their offense, because their offense isn't
that isn't playing that well either, So you need to
look at their offense and say, we can't allow their
defense to make life easy.
Speaker 17 (01:19:41):
For their offense.
Speaker 7 (01:19:42):
The Lions have to just go out there, play clean football,
grind it out as best they can. And you know, look,
this to me feels like we can talk about their
defense and things like that.
Speaker 17 (01:19:51):
This to me feels like what I call a business appointment.
Speaker 7 (01:19:55):
You're the better team, walk into that meeting, handle your business,
pop open, close your briefcase.
Speaker 17 (01:20:02):
And walk out and be done.
Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
With it.
Speaker 17 (01:20:03):
And it's not say it'll be easy, but it's the
way it needs to be handled.
Speaker 8 (01:20:07):
Good morning, Dan. I think it's a twenty four to
ten game. I don't see Cleveland scoring more than ten
against the Laya Lions are playing. That said, go back
to Monday and what a great, unbelievable game we got
to see and you got to be there live and
that place when it started, it was electric. I mean,
you know how ford Field gets on a Monday night.
(01:20:28):
It looks similar to ford Field. It's outdoors, it's black
and purple. It has got everything going against the Lions,
and they go out and they punch them in the mouth,
score first two ninety five plus yard drives and a
great defensive effort down on the goal line. Man, I
don't remember a better regular season game than that.
Speaker 7 (01:20:51):
Yeah, it's mass That's one thing that we've talked about
this week some is just you know, where does that
rank among the regular season games that we've seen.
Speaker 17 (01:20:59):
I mean, you can go to Minnesota.
Speaker 7 (01:21:01):
Last year, which was historic with two fourteen win teams,
and it's for the division title, and it's the final
week of the season, and it's for a buy and
certainly that's.
Speaker 17 (01:21:10):
One of them.
Speaker 7 (01:21:11):
But to go into Baltimore against that team, understanding what they.
Speaker 17 (01:21:18):
Did to you two years ago and just understanding the
history they have.
Speaker 7 (01:21:21):
They've been so good for so long with different personnel,
even different head coaches.
Speaker 17 (01:21:27):
That you didn't see that necessarily coming. Nobody saw seven
sacks of Lamar Jackson coming.
Speaker 8 (01:21:33):
So yeah, and you know that was.
Speaker 7 (01:21:36):
Their choice to put their defense out of the field first.
And we always talk about it. I usually go to
TJ at that point. I'm like, what do you think
and he's like, you know what, they want their defense
out there first and try to set the tone.
Speaker 17 (01:21:47):
In the game.
Speaker 7 (01:21:48):
Was you said the Lions were the ones that set
the tone in that game. So it's two weeks in
a row the Lions have been able to.
Speaker 17 (01:21:53):
Score in their opening possession.
Speaker 7 (01:21:55):
It always is great for alleviating, you know, any ankst
you may have about the game and kind of evening
out where you're at and put the other team back
on their heels a little bit. So, look, both both
teams responded, but you got to respond back.
Speaker 17 (01:22:09):
So it's it's the back and forth of it. Uh,
But it was that was a special night. There's no
doubt about it, and they.
Speaker 7 (01:22:18):
The game plan that they drew up to keep Lamar contained,
and then the relentless nature with what they went after him,
and the controlled nature with which they went after him.
Because he relies on you getting out of your game
plan and then he's going to take advantage of it.
Speaker 17 (01:22:39):
Well they didn't do that.
Speaker 7 (01:22:40):
And he wasn't able to do that, and it was
just it was a beautiful night, man and full box
the players and the coaches and for what they designed
and the players for executing.
Speaker 12 (01:22:51):
Hey, good morning, Dan. A couple of questions from me here,
and you know, you talked about it. I feel like
the job that the coordinators have done, you know, in
particular over the last two weeks, has been really been impressive.
Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Man.
Speaker 12 (01:23:03):
You saw some things from John Morton in that game,
kind of switching it up. We got a power eye
formation with Gibbs and Monty on the field. Just some
things that you know, a lot of people saying when
John Morton came in, oh, this is the end of
the trick plays. Oh you know he's gonna run very
conservative offense. Well you didn't necessarily see that. In conversely,
on the other side, Kelvin Shepherd's game plan for Lamar
(01:23:24):
Jackson absolutely amazing.
Speaker 10 (01:23:27):
Eleven sacks in two weeks for this Lion's defense.
Speaker 12 (01:23:30):
If what has been your takeaway, even though it's early,
what has been your takeaway from the two coordinators so far?
Speaker 7 (01:23:38):
Well, my takeaway number one is when the old coordinators left,
they didn't and I think we've said this on the
show before, they didn't take the players with them.
Speaker 17 (01:23:45):
These guys are still here.
Speaker 7 (01:23:47):
This is still one of, if not the most talented
roster in the NFL, with a ton of guys that
are still getting better and figuring it out. And they're
utilizing those guys, and you know it's you've got hutchback
that secondary you know is playing well and doing a
(01:24:07):
nice job. Those linebackers had a great game, all three
of them. Barnes was terrific, Alex was terrific.
Speaker 17 (01:24:12):
Jack was terrific. You know, Hutch came on did what
he did late. And you know, even and I I was.
Speaker 7 (01:24:20):
Told there was a lot of going back and forth
on Twitter or x or whatever about where's Hutch, Wear's Hutch. Well,
you know what, Sometimes Hutch is occupying other people so
other guys can make plays. And I'm not worried about
ninety seven. But my take on these guys is, look,
they're doing a great job, and I think you needed
to give them some time to let them.
Speaker 17 (01:24:41):
Write their own story, and they're doing that right now.
Speaker 7 (01:24:44):
And it doesn't mean that it's gonna continue to go
like this and that you're gonna go from Chicago to
Baltimore to Cleveland to Cincinnati and it's gonna get better
and better and better. There's gonna be bumps in the road,
but just like Ben Johnson and just like Aaron Glenn,
they deserve the right to deal with those bumps in
the road and let's see how they come back from those.
Speaker 17 (01:25:03):
But it's what this says to me is these.
Speaker 7 (01:25:07):
Are very capable men that Dan Campbell has a lot
of faith in, and they're using the talent that they've
got to execute their game plans, to put their game
plans together and to be effective. And let's not forget
above all of it, the head coach is still here
and this is his team and everything runs through him.
(01:25:29):
And Dan Campbell, we know by now is one of
the best coaches in the NFL, full stop, and he
knows how to get his team ready to play a game.
He understands what they have to do in terms of
strategy to get ready for a game and attack the
other opponent. And he's involved in every component of the
(01:25:50):
game plan and everything runs through him, and everything runs
through his headset. So that's not to take anything away
from John Morton's not to take anything away from Shep.
It's to say, let's not forget the players are here,
the head coaches here, and now these guys are here,
and so far they're doing a nice job, and we'll
see how it all plays out. But you know what,
(01:26:13):
they deserve the time to figure this out. I think
there was some panic after week number one, even though
I think there was some signs in week number one
that it wasn't that bad.
Speaker 17 (01:26:22):
And now we'll just see where it goes from here.
You know how this is, Guys, From week to week,
we like to make final.
Speaker 7 (01:26:27):
Determinations and then we'll make another final determination the week
after that, and another final determination the week after that,
and it's just it's kind of the nature.
Speaker 17 (01:26:36):
Of what we do is in the media and as
fans and things like that, but it's.
Speaker 7 (01:26:41):
Why we love it because we can emotionally get attached
to it and get into it.
Speaker 12 (01:26:45):
Dan, I could not agree with you more. And speaking
of final determinations, a lot of people have kind of
made final determinations on de Terian Arnold situation. Coach Shepp
came to the podium and said that Amik Robertson would
be receiving more snaps in this next game. And you know,
a lot of people are kind of out on TA.
(01:27:05):
I don't think people really pay attention to the things
he does do well on the football field. But what
do you make of the TA situation right now? Would
have meet Robertson said to come in and take more snaps?
Speaker 17 (01:27:18):
Well, let's start here.
Speaker 7 (01:27:19):
I thought TA had a good second half, and I
think that entire secondary did because they forced Lamar to
hold the ball at times, and believe me, if he
could cut it loose, he would have cut it loose.
Speaker 10 (01:27:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 17 (01:27:30):
Look, I think Terry On is struggling a little bit
right now.
Speaker 7 (01:27:33):
I think he's in his head a little bit right now,
and I think he just needs some time to level
off and figure things out. It's not an easy position.
Not everybody figures it out right away. Some guys do,
and that's maybe where people are like, what's wrong with
this guy? Not everybody does. I'm far from being out
on Tarry and Arnold.
Speaker 17 (01:27:53):
He is physically.
Speaker 7 (01:27:56):
Exactly what this team wants in a cornerback. We've seen
him play well. He closed last year much stronger that
he began the year. So it may not be where
everybody wants it to be right now, and it might
be that him taking a step back and being able
to watch a little bit and letting a meat go
(01:28:16):
in there and play some football isn't the worst thing
in the world.
Speaker 17 (01:28:19):
But look, we all remember how badly Darius Slay struggled
when he came into the league, and he ended up being.
Speaker 7 (01:28:26):
An outstanding cornerback in this league and maybe head to
the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 17 (01:28:32):
So we'll see where it goes.
Speaker 7 (01:28:34):
I just again, I just to me, it's too early
for a guy that clearly has the physical talent that
he has playing a really tough position to give up.
Speaker 17 (01:28:44):
But I'm not going to sit here and tell you
that he's not struggling a little bit. I think he is.
And I think when you struggle, it can get in
your head.
Speaker 7 (01:28:51):
When it gets in your head, I think when that
ball's in the air, sometimes you might panic a little bit.
And I think he just needs to settle down, play
his game and do what he's capable of doing, and
maybe a little downtime is gonna help him.
Speaker 17 (01:29:04):
I still think he's gonna be.
Speaker 7 (01:29:05):
A part of everything they do in there, and they're
gonna need him along the way, because we know how
injuries crop up, in particular, it seems in the secondary.
So sometimes it's the natural progression and it doesn't feel
great and you just have to wait for it to
kind of level off.
Speaker 17 (01:29:20):
But I'm far from giving up on them. I just
think there's too much there.
Speaker 6 (01:29:24):
Dan Miller.
Speaker 5 (01:29:24):
Of course, we'll have the call of the game, make
sure you check the game out obviously, game Day Live
coming on at ten am, taking you up to it,
and of course the works at night. Dan, I love
that business trip approach. I remember, let the Indianapolis game, Okay,
it didn't do anything for you. I know people are
looking at bells and whistles and they, oh, my gosh,
(01:29:46):
let's run it like we did against Tennessee, like we
did against Dallas.
Speaker 6 (01:29:49):
Just take care of against a really good defense.
Speaker 5 (01:29:53):
I don't care if you win the game twenty four
to six or whatever the heck it was in Indianapolis,
just don't let the trap Bay fell into last week
before you heading into this one.
Speaker 7 (01:30:05):
Yeah, and they had some trouble early in that Indianapolis
game and then they figured it out and they just
kind of.
Speaker 17 (01:30:12):
Marched.
Speaker 7 (01:30:12):
And it wasn't, as you said, bells and whistles. It
wasn't going to make their highlight film for all the
great plays and be a forty eight to six win.
Speaker 17 (01:30:21):
But it was a win. And that's what you need
to do. And it's just I think there's games on your.
Speaker 7 (01:30:26):
Schedule that you look at where you just say, we're
the better team. Now you better be careful because cliche coming.
Every game in this league is tough. Most games in
this league are within one score or two scores in
the fourth quarter and you still have to be careful
and this probably will be that. But again, you're the
(01:30:47):
better team, and what you'd hate to see and look,
you lose this game Monday doesn't mean as much. So
you want to build on what you did Monday by
winning this game and going out there and exerting your
will and showing you are the better team, which I
think clearly everybody believes that they are. But handle your
business and make sure you do it and don't go
(01:31:08):
out there and give them a reason to think this
is their day. And they're gonna be the second straight
team from the NFC North in two weeks. And I
think that's that's the approach you have to take. I
think it'll be an electric atmosphere obviously inside.
Speaker 17 (01:31:19):
Of Ford Field, it'll be a lot of fun.
Speaker 7 (01:31:21):
Folks are gonna love having them back home after that
Baltimore game.
Speaker 17 (01:31:24):
And you just got to go out there and play
clean football.
Speaker 7 (01:31:27):
Don't commit penalties, don't commit turnovers, and let your talent
lead the way.
Speaker 5 (01:31:32):
Hey, Dan, have a great call. Appreciate you as always.
You're always so gracious with your time. One of the
class these guys, I know, Dan Miller the voice of
the Lions until next week.
Speaker 6 (01:31:42):
Dan, thanks as always.
Speaker 17 (01:31:43):
Thanks there, all right, boys, appreciate you, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:31:46):
Peace man, all right, Danny Miller.
Speaker 10 (01:31:49):
Gotta love them.
Speaker 8 (01:31:50):
Hey, standing rooms only tickets is only available one hundred
and sixty dollars or more sixty.
Speaker 10 (01:31:58):
Standard.
Speaker 8 (01:31:58):
Everyone thought this was the game. Oh we can go
cheap to this game.
Speaker 5 (01:32:03):
That does again and days are over.
Speaker 10 (01:32:05):
Boy, I'm a misgoing last week in Nashville.
Speaker 8 (01:32:09):
I already had bought tickets I could have bought tickets
for seventeen dollars to go see the Titans and the Cults.
Speaker 10 (01:32:15):
I much rather buy a jersey at this point. At
least I can wear that whenever I want.
Speaker 5 (01:32:19):
You guys, you guys know this routine though, Like right,
like everything is so high, like the week before the game,
the Lions are exactly like, so I want to take
the whole fam October eleventh to go see Michigan State UCLA. Right,
I'm not.
Speaker 6 (01:32:37):
I don't like to make phone calls and go. Can
I have free tickets? There's a difference.
Speaker 5 (01:32:41):
If somebody offers them to me, I'll take them, but
I'm never going to pick up the phone.
Speaker 6 (01:32:45):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (01:32:46):
You go look at the prices right now. They're insane. Jesus,
it's Michigan State and UCLA. Man, Okay, they're insane.
Speaker 6 (01:32:54):
Four tickets.
Speaker 8 (01:32:55):
Look it up.
Speaker 6 (01:32:55):
Waste your time.
Speaker 5 (01:32:56):
It's unbelievable. I think the cheapest one was like one
hundred and three dollars for ship seats. Okay, but you
know what you do, You're like, you're like that voult.
Speaker 10 (01:33:07):
You know where you're looking.
Speaker 5 (01:33:08):
You can say I'm circling circle in the day before
the game. All of a sudden, the ticket prices start
to go like this, and then you go up there
there was some justice over there, tickets available.
Speaker 8 (01:33:25):
Okay, hey, are you going to the game? Are you?
I'm tall, I can't make it. Can I usual your ticket?
Speaker 16 (01:33:32):
You can take them, I can take them off your hand.
It's only Alo who cares about this is the pride
of the Big ten.
Speaker 5 (01:33:42):
We were seeing absolutely all right, Uh, JB, where are

Speaker 10 (01:34:03):

Look, you guys have been with us every step along
the way, and everybody needs to see a little bit
of positivity and in the game. And so I mean,
we're human, so we feed off of a ton of
a ton of things, and including the good things, and
so of course I think everybody takes a collective breath
and say.
Speaker 10 (01:38:41):
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
And we know these games are.
Speaker 10 (01:38:45):
You know, matter of the most.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
Even though they count the same, they don't feel the
same because of where we're at. So but we're we're humans,
and and I think everybody settled into the game nicely,
not gonna get it done.
Speaker 31 (01:39:01):
Usually nineteen k's for.
Speaker 32 (01:39:04):
What they looked down and didn't look up his fucking
going here, bro, I love that, manight, damn good.
Speaker 8 (01:39:16):
Oh run last night though, boy did he hit it out?
Speaker 6 (01:39:19):
Who uh Seahawks win last night? Maybe Sam Darnald.
Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
A good quarterback?
Speaker 8 (01:39:29):
Don't you do it at three and one? Man, I'm
not doing it. He's a good quarterback.
Speaker 14 (01:39:34):
Is that that?
Speaker 6 (01:39:35):
Want him as your starter?
Speaker 19 (01:39:36):
No?
Speaker 6 (01:39:36):
Okay, that's that? No, that's it, that's that. Would I
take him as my backup?
Speaker 8 (01:39:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:39:41):
What I want him is my starter? Absolutely not?
Speaker 8 (01:39:43):
Nope. Thanks anyway, Mike McDonald's a good coach.
Speaker 5 (01:39:47):
That was funny.
Speaker 6 (01:39:48):
Did you guys? Did you guys watch much of it?
Did you?
Speaker 8 (01:39:51):
I couldn't get prime on it, kept telling me I
had an error? Oh really yeah, So I went to
bed after the time.
Speaker 6 (01:39:56):
Did you did you?
Speaker 5 (01:39:57):
JB? Did you?
Speaker 8 (01:39:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 23 (01:39:58):
I caught the second half pretty much, yeah, the rest
of it, But first half not so bad. I mean,
I do think Minnesota is kind of kicking themselves right
now that they don't have a Sam Darnold and now
they got stuck with.
Speaker 6 (01:40:13):
Man, they were piling on Marvin Harrison. Yeah, they were,
they were really, they were really well can I say this?
Speaker 5 (01:40:21):
Can I? Can I say this?
Speaker 6 (01:40:22):
And I understand that he was so dynamic and go
look at his rookie again.
Speaker 5 (01:40:30):
Rookie year rookie year. Not the guy had almost nine
hundred yards and eight touchdowns. Last night he went six
for sixty.
Speaker 6 (01:40:40):
Six in a score.
Speaker 8 (01:40:42):
They expect to Is that what it is?
Speaker 6 (01:40:46):
Yeah, the lack of patience, I'm telling you.
Speaker 8 (01:40:49):
Or is that how many?
Speaker 10 (01:40:50):
It Wasn't it?
Speaker 5 (01:40:51):
Funny? Miller said exactly what I've said about Darius Slay
for ten years. Okay, you guys, I don't forget. I
was doing radio shows and so many of you, not
all of you, were calling me beating the shit out
of Darius Slay. That happened, don't deny it. Okay, and
(01:41:12):
this went well into his second season. Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:41:17):
So I'm not gonna sit here and say maybe TA
turns into nothing. Maybe you're right. Okay, I'm not gonna
sit here and definitively say that's not the case.
Speaker 5 (01:41:28):
But what I do know is, especially guys at that position,
that takes a little longer, and I've seen enough out
of the guy that makes me think there's something there.
Speaker 8 (01:41:36):
No doubt, no doubt.
Speaker 23 (01:41:38):
He was so happy when he caught that touchdown, like
it's just like the pressure just kind of just off
his shoulders once he finally got that touchdown last night,
so I.
Speaker 12 (01:41:47):
Think it also matters that you have Kyler Murray. Yeah, damn,
I think that accounts for something. I'm just saying, Bam.
Speaker 8 (01:41:57):
You know what they tore apart. The broadcasters tore Russell
Wilson to shreds. Tony Gonzalez said, I've never seen a
guy play himself out of the Hall of Fame, and
then Richard Sherman said he only was good because of
our defense. How was his teammate? Man, they are crushing dangerous?
Speaker 10 (01:42:19):
They didn't they He ain't dangerous.
Speaker 5 (01:42:21):
Do you remember they weren't real fond of each other. Yeah,
they weren't. Well, I set much. He wasn't real fond
of uss, especially late in the game.
Speaker 12 (01:42:31):
But it's been multiple teammates that have come out and
spoken against Russell Wiston, and I'm sorry. If a lot
of people are saying the same thing, then I think
you got to point back at the guy that they're
talking about. And by all accounts, if you paid attention,
Russell Wilson was kind of about himself, like he thought
he was the show. He thought he was the man.
And one thing that we have learned since he left
(01:42:52):
Seattle is that maybe Pete Carroll and his teammates work corect.
Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
This is a guy. Do you know what it reminds
me of? It reminds me it was a really good
are at one point in time. But if you if you,
if you have too much wear and tear on your car,
there's just nothing you can do. That man. That man
was broken. He was like Russell Russell Wilson took too
many shots. Like it's just no other way to say it. Russell,
and he was one of those guys. If you remember,
even in his prime, how many times did you hear
(01:43:17):
somebody say Russell's got a mixed sliding into his repertoire yea,
and he's paying for it right now?
Speaker 10 (01:43:22):
He would say?
Speaker 5 (01:43:23):
So he was a damn good quarterback.
Speaker 29 (01:43:25):
He was.
Speaker 6 (01:43:26):
I don't you don't think he was.
Speaker 10 (01:43:27):
No, I think he was good.
Speaker 12 (01:43:29):
But I also think that that scheme that they were
running against the Seattle was just more favor towards his
skill set, Like there's no reason he goes to Denver
and damn near cripples their franchise, and it's partially their fault.
They were chasing Aaron Rodgers by trying to get in
the Thaniel hacket in the building. Turned out to be
a disaster. But it's just like, I don't know, man
to fall from grace that this guy has had. And
(01:43:50):
when you look at him play, you look at some
of his throws and it's just like, bro, what are
you doing?
Speaker 5 (01:43:55):
It's it? Do you know what they They did exactly
what we talked about with Lions. You know what you
put a guy in his skill set, in positions of
favorability and what Russ could do with his legs Back
in the day. How many times did you know you
would see those highlight reels come up and they'd make
their way around Twitter and you're like, the Hell's wrong
with this guy?
Speaker 17 (01:44:15):
Like it?
Speaker 5 (01:44:16):
And it's funny because I remember at Wisconsin, JB. You
remember this, that son of a bitch, That son of
a bitch in that first Big Ten Championship game, mother Scratcher.
Speaker 10 (01:44:27):
He took Matt Flann's job.
Speaker 6 (01:44:29):
We all remember Matt f a five touchdown could do that.
Speaker 17 (01:44:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:44:33):
Man, he was going into Seattle's camp looking like he
was gonna be the starter. And then Russell Wilson comes
out of fucking nowhere, like the story was amazing for
rus Man and aside from a play call, who we
still don't know who is actually responsible for that that
ruined them back to back super.
Speaker 6 (01:44:49):
Bowl like, didn't didn't didn't it come out?
Speaker 8 (01:44:52):
Didn't it?
Speaker 5 (01:44:53):
Pete covered for him? Didn't it come out? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:44:55):
I think I think Pete covered.
Speaker 10 (01:44:57):
Yeah, he was trying to be super Bowl. I could
see it both ways.
Speaker 8 (01:45:01):
He fell on the short How do you not give Marsha.
Speaker 10 (01:45:04):
On the ball? He wanted to be so growing Pete.
That's why Jesus Christ, I still remember that kind of go.
Speaker 6 (01:45:09):
Back to it, all right?
Speaker 5 (01:45:10):
Can we play this clip by Shadoor Sanders and I
want no listen to me though. Okay, let's let's take
Shador Sanders out of here. What he is saying, tell
me he's wrong.
Speaker 10 (01:45:23):
Here, go that's not that's not nothing.
Speaker 8 (01:45:26):
You know, I'm a place to answer.
Speaker 17 (01:45:27):
You know, that's nothing.
Speaker 29 (01:45:28):
I can't answer, not answer, But I know for sure
I'm not I know if if you see the quarterback
player in the league right now, I know, I know
I'm capable of doing better than that.
Speaker 8 (01:45:41):
We need to do.
Speaker 6 (01:45:42):
I'm serious.
Speaker 5 (01:45:43):
We should have like a quarterback Quarterback Index show one
day because this goes back and we didn't even plan
it this way. This goes back to what we were
just talking about a couple of minutes ago.
Speaker 6 (01:45:52):
There are a lot of bad quarterbacks in the National
Football League very much. So tell me Shad Door Sanders
is wrong.
Speaker 10 (01:45:57):
He's not.
Speaker 6 (01:45:58):
He's not wrong wrong at all.
Speaker 8 (01:46:01):
We might see him Sunday. We might see him on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (01:46:06):
Well, you know what, in this case, at this point
in his career, I hope we do see him too.
I'll go million dollar man again. Man, I got no
problem at all.
Speaker 6 (01:46:17):
I'll go, no, brother, He's not wrong.
Speaker 5 (01:46:20):
Sam Darnold is a functioning, not bad quarterback in the
National Football League. Right now, you looks Jones just a
bit I speaking. Gosh, damn it, I'm doing it right now.
I'm doing it right now. Okay, son of a bitch,
(01:46:42):
you guys, is he.
Speaker 8 (01:46:43):
What you do to me? I want you to hear
from Tua as you look all.
Speaker 5 (01:46:46):
Right to go to Toua because I'm going I'm going
down the National Football League in a second.
Speaker 8 (01:46:50):
This is Tua on the criticism that Cam Newton and
others have given him, say.
Speaker 7 (01:46:55):
Through an interception and he makes fifty three million.
Speaker 10 (01:46:58):
You know what I mean, because they do they always
say that. I heard Cam Newton say.
Speaker 19 (01:47:03):
Anybody can play quarterback in this league, then I mean
I want to see anybody on the streets come and
play quarterback. I mean Cam Cam's doing his thing, for sure,
But you know, to it's I think it's easier to
be able to hold a clicker and talk about it
that way or talk about what someone else is doing
wrong when you're you're not going out and having to
(01:47:24):
do the same as them, right, So I think it's
it's it's all.
Speaker 17 (01:47:28):
It's easy to do that.
Speaker 19 (01:47:29):
I think anybody can do that. I don't think anybody
can play quarterback.
Speaker 17 (01:47:32):
So but.
Speaker 5 (01:47:41):
Can I say this, maybe he took one too many
hits to the head. Did he not forget who Cam
Newton is and what he did in his career? Yeah,
he's one thousand percent. If Shaun Belieger or KG say
that ship, we throw that ship out there, then what
he just said is true. Cam Newton's a guy who's
been there, done that, took teams to Super Bowls, you
(01:48:03):
know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (01:48:05):
He's not so he's not wrong, true.
Speaker 10 (01:48:08):
But but if I'm tua Cam Newton sending in the
same boat as I am, you ain't want ship.
Speaker 5 (01:48:13):
I ain't want.
Speaker 10 (01:48:15):
What we both led franchises.
Speaker 9 (01:48:16):
It is what it is.
Speaker 5 (01:48:17):
Okay, NFL quarterback or not NFL quarterback. This is so dumb,
but we're doing it. The Buffalo Bills have an NFL quarterback. Fair, okay,
New England Patriots his way maybe today today, Drake May No,
No New York Jets with Tyrod Taylor.
Speaker 6 (01:48:33):
Don't mass Okay masked on for a second.
Speaker 8 (01:48:36):
He did, of course seconds.
Speaker 5 (01:48:41):
Okay, go ahead, Well Fields is hurt, right, Yeah, but
he's gonna all right. Tua Okay Browning, No, yeah, okay,

Steelers are getting two and a half in Dublin. We
go to our resident irishman Sean.
Speaker 6 (01:54:47):
I'm gonna take. I hate doing this, this is so stupid.
Speaker 5 (01:54:53):
I can't. I can't take the Vikings with the Yeah,
Baron Wentz, I can't. I I feel so dirty, but
I'm taking the Steelers and.
Speaker 10 (01:55:02):
The Steelers getting two and a half. I'm taking that
all day long.
Speaker 8 (01:55:05):
Give me the Steelers, man, I'll take the Vikings. Go
ahead there, JB.
Speaker 10 (01:55:12):
One more time.
Speaker 9 (01:55:13):
I said give me the Vikings on this, and I
think Addison is back.
Speaker 8 (01:55:16):
All right, we'll split there. Here we go, Eagles and
the Bucks in Tampa. The Bucks are a home dog
getting three and a half kgh.
Speaker 10 (01:55:29):
This is tough. Give me the Eagles, man.
Speaker 8 (01:55:31):
They're begging you to take the bucket, and I'm gonna
do it. Okay, I'm gonna take the sucker bet and
take Tampa. JB.
Speaker 9 (01:55:40):
Baker, the little bang dumb give me the Eagles.
Speaker 5 (01:55:43):
Eagles.
Speaker 6 (01:55:44):

Speaker 8 (01:55:46):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:55:46):
I'm pulling for my Baker. I am. I'm pulling for
my Baker.
Speaker 8 (01:55:50):
Indiana Jones and the Colts in La against the Rams.
The Rams are favored by three and a half. I
guess I'm the lead off in this one. I'm gonna
take Colts magic. I'm sticking with Indy jb Uh.
Speaker 9 (01:56:07):
Indiana Jones turns back into Daniel Jones.
Speaker 10 (01:56:10):
Give me the Rams.
Speaker 8 (01:56:12):
God.
Speaker 5 (01:56:13):
The point a minute offense hangs in there.
Speaker 8 (01:56:16):
The Rams might win, but it hasn't pumped it.
Speaker 5 (01:56:20):
I'll take that point. I think they have had one
note right, I think one. I'll take that half point
Rams by three, so I'll win the bet.
Speaker 12 (01:56:28):
Take the Colts and Kenny give me Indiana, Jones, give
me Indiana.
Speaker 8 (01:56:36):
You're all in, all right? The game of the weekend,
one of these teams will be one in three Ravens
at the Chiefs. Are you ready for this? The Chiefs
are an underdog. They are getting two and a half sean.
Speaker 5 (01:56:50):
Ravens are gonna win this game by two touchdowns. Holdly, yes,
Kansas City is struggling. There's no this is not like
years gone by. They're struggling. Ravens are gonna win this
game by two touchdowns. I like this one a lot.
Speaker 10 (01:57:06):
Kenny, It's hard to argue that, man.
Speaker 12 (01:57:09):
I think that the Chiefs have some problems to figure out.
Lamar and the Boys come back and fired up after
getting the ass whipped last Monday.
Speaker 8 (01:57:18):
I want you to remember this. The Ravens have not
They can't stop a cold. They're giving up chunks of yardage.
That defense, that once vaunted defense. I'm taking the Chiefs
at home as a dog. I can't do it.
Speaker 9 (01:57:32):
Man, give me the Ravens on this. When it's over
for the Chiefs.
Speaker 8 (01:57:36):
Well, they do look shitty. I'll tell you that, all right.
Bears at the Raiders. Why because I always do our
teams division. You know, you always pick shit divisions. I
got great games here.
Speaker 6 (01:57:48):
That Titans game last week, that was awesome.
Speaker 8 (01:57:51):
That's because I was there, and of course you pick games.
Raiders are getting two and a half at home. From
what I understand, the Bears fans have flocked and gotten
almost every ticket at Allegian Stadium. It's gonna be fifty
to fifty. Bears are giving two and a half to
(01:58:12):
the Raiders. Kenny, gimme the Raiders.
Speaker 10 (01:58:16):
Commit mex list baby, listen, I'm taking the Raiders too.
Speaker 8 (01:58:21):
Give me the silver and black. JB Really make me
do this, huh.
Speaker 9 (01:58:26):
I will put my trust in Caleb one more week.
Speaker 10 (01:58:29):
You are out your fucking by fuck the Bears all
the time.
Speaker 8 (01:58:32):
Here we go. How about the Cowboys hosting the Packers.
How about that the Packers are bringing back you know who,
good old number all of it? Who wears number one?
Right now? Micah Parsons Cowboys a home underdog getting six
and a half so many.
Speaker 10 (01:58:52):
Point it's way too mab way too many.
Speaker 9 (01:58:56):
Uh, gimme the Packers on this one. Michael Parsons will
put Dack in a body bag by the end of
his game.
Speaker 8 (01:59:02):
Can you imagine this game?
Speaker 5 (01:59:03):
I think it's too many points. I can't believe I'm
saying it. I'm taking the Cowboys like I.
Speaker 8 (01:59:08):
Feel dirty home dog.
Speaker 5 (01:59:09):
There are defenses, I mean, awful, awful, but that's kg
that's too many points. I feel like an idiot. I
can give me the Cowboys and six and a half.
Speaker 12 (01:59:18):
Yeah, their defense is a hooker on Friday Night. But
I got it, that's way too many points. I got
Green Bay money line to give me the Cowboys.
Speaker 10 (01:59:26):
How about them?
Speaker 8 (01:59:26):
Cow Would you take JB it's a Green Bay Yeah, Bay,
all right, I'll take the Cowboys as well. Give me
the Boys to lose by six, not six and a half.
And finally, we're all gonna take the Lions. Lions given
nine and a half to the Browns nine and a
half and a half.
Speaker 5 (01:59:43):
It's so funny that Dan said this. It really reminds
me the two games that jumped out to me. The
Cardinals game last year in the Indy game. Just go
just go win the game. There's not a lot that
I worry about looking at the Cleveland Browns from an
offensive standpoint, So you know, don't expect put up a
bunch of go win the game twenty four to six
or some crap like that. Right, that's it.
Speaker 8 (02:00:04):
That's the spread. That's what I said, cover the spread.
Speaker 5 (02:00:07):
That's exactly.
Speaker 15 (02:00:08):
No.
Speaker 10 (02:00:08):
The Lions are absolutely covering this.
Speaker 8 (02:00:10):
We're all sweepinges lions.
Speaker 6 (02:00:12):
All right, all right, JB, let's finish it strong than
what you got.
Speaker 9 (02:00:16):

the f a w oh membership.

Speaker 8 (02:00:41):
He let it to Phil Rivers.
Speaker 10 (02:00:42):

NFL gets you.

Somebody gonna be successful out of that grow.
Speaker 6 (02:01:26):
I like, I like the odds.
Speaker 8 (02:01:29):

that quick? He was from the top guy in fantasy
football to out of football.
Speaker 9 (02:01:40):
On a Madden Cover two?
Speaker 6 (02:01:41):
Man, when when when the body goes?
Speaker 5 (02:01:43):
Like I marying Barber, Mary and Barbara ran so angry,
but when his body was done, it was over.
Speaker 2 (02:01:50):

I can't. I cannot do that.
Speaker 10 (02:02:30):
I'm sorry. White people have taken pumpkin.
Speaker 6 (02:02:34):
Now, can I ask you?
Speaker 5 (02:02:35):
KG got to take a stare lit say, let's say
I did a pulled pork, okay, and there was a
good pumpkin spice rub.
Speaker 6 (02:02:44):
No, no, you want you want nothing to do with that.
Speaker 10 (02:02:47):
I want no pumpkin near any meat. Pause.
Speaker 6 (02:02:51):
I don't think it would. I don't think it would
