Speaker 2 (01:20):
All right, you guys, seriously, we get to watch football tomorrow, Like,
are you aware of that?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
It just snuck up right?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Can fast?

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Life comes at you fast because I think you know
what it is. KG.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I think we're so uber focused on the Lions, and
rightfully so, mind you this this is the road to
Santa Clara after all it is. We're so focused on
that and Lambeau. It's like, oh yeah, this Jesus starts
Thursday and there's a game Friday as well.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
It is good morning, How are you everything?

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Low? All right? Bad?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Look at Comerica Park last night, Mester ravin Lot. I'm
gonna say this though, okay, and we all know this,
and I think, man, as I've heard you say this
a lot the past month, the Tigers are a flawed team.
We all know it, right, and if we revisit the
trade deadline, Scott Harris clearly didn't do enough, okay, and

(02:17):
what he did hasn't worked. Props for a Fittigan, he's
been lights out Montero pleasant surprise, the two starting pitchers
and no other.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Way to say that. And we didn't get a bath.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
But you know what, the reality is, everybody else in
the American League is flawed.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
There isn't one team that I look at, guys, I mean,
you tell me if I'm wrong.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
By the way, JB, it's great to have you back.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We missed you get okay, had a nice tay there
you guys, I mean you guys, tell me if I'm wrong. Right,
I look at the rest of the American League, and
I know what the Tigers are, and they're probably a
three man rotation come playoff time, right.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Should be?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Maybe A ten man wrote he was the whole damn bullpen.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Well here's here this point.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
You can't do pitching chaos again though, right, not with
this staff?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Right, you know, man, what else are you gonna do?
You're gonna trust?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
This is this is what my mindset was. Okay, let's
say let's say the series. The series starts on Monday,
schoobl Flaherty, you got the day off, myze come back
with schoobl on the fourth day.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Is that sounds that's all we got? That's it.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I wouldn't trust either one of those guys, Charlie or Addict.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Not to start a game.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
No, the bullpen is a different story too, because they
just haven't been pitching well. But I would much rather
have them coming off the bench in the playoffs that I.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Could see pitching chaos again.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
That's the biggest thing to me, Like, like, you know
why pitching chaos worked last year because you had some
guys like bo Briski.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Was in contreuss. He really was, he was.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
He was on every time that guy went out.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Great, I boy, I wouldn't trust chaos this year.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I mean Meltin, right, maybe you could roll with Meltin
a couple of innings, give Montero a couple of innings.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Back in action.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
You're going down this afternoon, right.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yea, I'm gonna go this afternoon. Parker Meadows might make
a comeback? Is that a bat up?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
But young, I guess.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I'm just trying to grasp straws.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
They're gonna win this division going away to.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
You know what, Yeah, they're up nine, they're gonna win this.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Well, I'm sorry, the division sucks. I know a guy
who said at the beginning of the year, and and
the people in the chat destroyed him.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
What are you talking about? Three teams made it. This
division sucks.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
We were we were all we were all the benefactors
of a historically bad Chicago White Sox team last year.
I mean that that's the reality, is that that's what happened.
So Tiger's back in action. Cowboys Eagles tomorrow. Did you
maz I know you wanted to hit on this court
Y Leonard thing. Did you guys hear about that?

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Kg JB? Did you hear about this?

Speaker 7 (05:06):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Okay, circumvent the cap in two steps?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Did you guys? Did you guys ever watch the Sopranos?

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Do you remember the Sopranos?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Okay, unbelievable, great television. I would recommend it to anybody.
Like my kid is is halfway through it now, Like
I told him, I said, you have to watch the Sopranos.
He's like, oh, Dan, I remember, like being really young,
you were infatuated with that and I was, I mean
Sunday night. It was like shut her down. And and
I don't mean to knark on Dan Miller, who's going

(05:35):
to be joining us on Friday, by the.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Way, shout out, but we we listen Dan.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
We would do we would do, you know, the Sunday
Night Show. Don't tell anybody, Okay, we tape it early
so we could all watch the Sopranos.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
What I mean, you do what you gotta.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Dosal we were we were so like all of us,
the whole, like everybody when we would do that Sunday
night sports rap or whatever, when we would do that
Sunday Night show legitimately, like we would tape it early,
and it was like, okay, everybody raced him to watch
the Sopranos. Now, I mean, this sounds like a Sopranos thing.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Man, that's that's my jersey. It's a no show job. Guys.
What Steve Balmer did to entice Kawhi Leonard to come
to the Clippers is he spent fifty million dollars on
a fraudulent company. It was a tree planning company. So
he told Kawhi, look, I can only give you this
mile of money, but you know, what I'll pay you

(06:31):
on the back end another twenty eight million from this
no show job. I'm gonna let you have. The problem
is the company went bankrupt and Kawhi Leonard is one
of the creditors on the bankruptcy and it says k
w I forgot the name of his his company it's
kW two something and it you look at the owner

(06:54):
and this is Pablo Torre as a story. This guy
breaks a lot of stuff. You look at the owner
of the kW two property and it's Kawhi Leonard. So
he was getting paid an additional twenty eight million behind
closed doors. It's basically college football before nil, including nil,
because you know there's still money being funneled in through everything.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Of course, it's fire to me, it's cheap.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
It's cheap.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I don't know if the NFL does it.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
See that was my question.

Speaker 8 (07:24):
I know how a bunch of it happens, you know it.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
You got to be stupid to come on course, absolutely so.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You know, most of the guys like down in Dallas
love Jerry Jones. Most of the guys down in Dallas
love Jerry Jonesy. I'll tell you right, like I wonder,
I wonder how many deals like, uh, you are now
KG you are now vice president of the JJ Waste

(07:57):
Management Company.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Sounds good. Oh that's really cool, Jerry. So what do
I gotta do?

Speaker 2 (08:02):
You gotta sit on your ass, like, can't you hear
Jerry saying.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
Absolutely, this guy wanted to make a handshake deal over
forty seven million per year.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Of course he's doing shit like this. A lot of
owners are doing shit.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Like Listen, I always bring up the movie Blue Chips.
That's real. Blue Chips was real. It's freaking real, Neon Bado,
I'm Ricky Rowe. It's all real.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I am telling you right now. One day, one day,
when I'm done with this business, I am, I am
writing a tell all because I listen.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
I'll be thrown out of this state.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
This hed I know the shit I know, like honestly,
and I'm not even talking about in the business, okay,
like just things I saw back in the day at
the two big universities in this state. This shit's been
going on for so long. I hope people don't like.

(08:54):
That's why I always but shan.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
I thought Michigan was the only ones that came up
with this concept.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Right, that's you guys, you're out your mind. If you
don't think this stuff's going on, you're out your mind.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
You are.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah, In case you missed it, Kawhi Leonard signed a
twenty eight million dollar endorsement deal for a no show
job with a fraudulent tree planting company funded by fifty
million from Clippers owner Steve Baumer. If you can get
away with it, it's brilliant, It's absolutely Brilliantablo Tores caught

(09:26):
him seriously, like, Okay, think of think of the illages.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
We'll give you a little Caesars we'll give We'll.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Give you a little Caesars. You can. You can.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Literally, you are now the owner and manager of a
little Caesars.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Listen, they own a freak of casino.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
No Marion does.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Marion does several.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Funny if DA even owned one in Jersey for it's funny.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
Thinking back when Stafford was here, he had a lot
of four, a lot of four commercials.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
I wonder, I wonder how that happened.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
I wonder, I wonder how that dude. There's more stuff
like you have to do it.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
You you have to get creative. I remember years ago,
especially in college, and I think I think times have
changed and so of the mindsets, the people that that
like lived in an alternative universe with.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Stuff like this killed me. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
You remember the famous Fab five book, right of course,
that the Chris Webber.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I can't even afford to get pizza.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
I have a home signed by Mitch.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
I can't even afford to go get a pizza.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Country day, right, Come.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
On, And all I'll say is, if you were around campus,
you saw how life really was.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
No, no, he was getting And I'll leave it at that.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
You want brown paper like what?

Speaker 5 (11:02):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Like what when we get paid next? I might ask Kathy, Kathy,
can you leave a brown paper bag?

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Like?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Just just just hit different.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
This one time? I just want to feel bad, right
like you just have Sean written on it?

Speaker 9 (11:16):
And ain's that your lunch?

Speaker 6 (11:18):
You might say him, Right, slip it, slip it under
the counter or something somewhere discreet.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
I want grease on my bag.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Yes, even if there's even if she throws a little
change in there right with my check, I'm in. I'm
absolutely all right.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Let's be a tractor. Give my mom a job, how
about my dad? How about my sister?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
School?

Speaker 4 (11:42):
Okay? Right, okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
All right, So, all I'm gonna say is, I'm not
gonna give too much away, but have you guys hung
around a campus, were you at school around campus with
with with some quote unquote big time athletes. It is
amazing the incredible cars they'll drive, and that has been
going on for thirty plus years.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
It is it is amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Some of the where did they get the money for
that car? It is like it's it's such a sham.
And you know, people people want to believe in the
goodness of situations like that, the reality is far different.
I mean the way these guys live, the big time
athletes at.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
School come on and now they're really living. But everyone
knows what they make now, yes, ye absolutely. And when
people say, let's try to figure something out how to
take this nil but we can. You know we could
do it different ways.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
We could.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
We could definitely streamline it. Bull bad guys.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Bad guys are always one step ahead, and seriously they're
they're always if if you want to find a way
to do things like this, you'll.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Come up with something new.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
There are always one step ahead, you know, there's no
the cats out of the bag man like that.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Like the genies out of the bottle. Right, He's given
wishes everywhere. That's just the way that it is.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Jimmy King told me probably he probably told you, Jimmy King, Yeah,
I know you know him. I know Jimmy, Jimmy, I
know you do. Anyway, he said, Rick Patino came calling
for him one day in this big white convertible Cadillac,
put him in the car and said, hey, man, you
like this car. Jimmy's like, I like a coach. But

(13:29):
I'm good. I'm gonna stay. I'm gonna go to ann Arbor.
We're gonna go to University of Michigan. But man, these
guys they didn't care. Yeah, they didn't care. Guys like
Patino and in Calipari.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You think they give a damn under the table.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I'm not going to mention any names, but I can.
I can tell you two athletes that you guys would know,
and I you can yell at me.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
I'm not gonna mention any names.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Two athletes rhymes for this one. Two athletes that I
know that that in their five visits for college football
were greeted by many welcoming committees.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, welcoming committees, yes, and the welcoming committees.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
The welcome the Welcoming Concity committee consisted of five really
really attractive twenty year old.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Did they get to spend the night with, said five women.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Maybe maybe or at least one or two of them. Okay,
I like that's I think you and I probably know
one of them.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Good.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Yeah, because you just mentioned one of the schools and
I know that's a story, but yes, yeah, So like
it was crazy because one of them said, I knew
exactly where I was going to go day one.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Like there was a bit I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
If I don't go take my five trips, like that's
on that's on me if I don't go take my
He goes, there was no way that any of these schools,
he said, one almost got him, but he goes, there
was no way any of these schools were gonna get me.
But once I found out what happens on these trips,
there's no way I wasn't going to take these trips.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
I hear you.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
The other school had hatter women. That's what it was.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Easy said on the chat. Hey easy, good morning, he said.
Nick Saban paid his cousin one thousand a week. Back
in the day at Michigan.

Speaker 10 (15:23):
State doesn't surprise me, right, So that his last year
in ninety nine, I was up there a lot the
things I saw you just laugh.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
See I was never one of those babes in my
you expected it. Well, my, oh my gosh, this is
how life really works. Was My wife was at Michigan,
and so I saw how things worked at Michigan and
it was just like, oh, so this is how life works. Yeah,
And that's really that's the best way to say it.

(15:55):
And so that's why it would giggle. We don't do
things that way. When I hear people say that, I
laugh my ass off. And I'm not and I'm not
just saying that's Michigan people everywhere people love to take
that that we're doing do things like that. It's like
wake up, it's wake up, all right, lots of line
stuff to get to.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
As I said, season starts tomorrow. You know you're in
on Dallas and Philly. You know Dallas is one of
those things. Right, We all laugh, We all poke fun
at Jerry. We all hate Dallas. Y'all watch Dallas. Oh yeah,
y'all what right? I hate watching tomorrow?

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Right?

Speaker 6 (16:35):
I want to see the implosion of DAK and George Pickens, Man,
I cannot wait.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Dallas is on and I'm watching. I am so in
that's the way it goes.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
George Pickens has already not shown back up to a huddle.
Yeah he's he's already fighting a fan in the course.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
I love every second of it. Oh my gosh, I can't.
I can't wait to watch it. And I need Jerry
like this on the sideline, air food, water, shelter and
Jerry like this on the sideline and everything.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
You're gonna keep the drama. We know that.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Nick Sirianni said, by the way, he had no idea
that they were gonna have the banner raising at at
the old at the new Veteran Stadium Lincoln Financial. He's like,
we won't be there for that, We'll be in the
locker room. Oh okay, he said that was then this
is now that a boy?

Speaker 5 (17:21):
All right?

Speaker 3 (17:21):
I kind of like that.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
How about Nick Sirianni, I like that?

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Is that funny?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
A year ago at this time, he was just close
to losing his job according to everybody. Amazing how life
works out, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Hey, listen, JB. Where we're going we'll come back. We'll
talk about Lambo head Lambo. Obviously a lot going on,
North Harfield, North JB.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Where are we going?

Speaker 7 (17:41):
We need to hear from mad Pax. But let me
cut up these supertas real quick. Shout out to everyone's
sitting thank you five dollars from silas. He says, the
Royals lost, Tigers win, Tigers win, Tigers win. What do
the Royals need to win twenty two out of twenty
two games to catch up? Realistically?

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Pretty much?

Speaker 7 (17:58):
I'm not keeping divisions over the Tiger's losing.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
It's divisions over you guys know.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
What the Tigers lose again.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Hey, they just won the series. Relax, just coming off
the series.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
They lost the series.

Speaker 7 (18:10):
And one more from Dante one to five one, he says.
In nine to ninety nine, he says, damn it. I
tried to give sgl credit last night and he then
screwed it up. I would like to give credit to
Horn Caine, Hannafy and Jake Rogers for only giving up
only for his and zero runs in four total innings.
So shout out to them, and that's.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
What tired by. Then, Boy did they have fun. Twenty
two runs in two games.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Sheesh, wow, watching those eras just skyrocket man.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
When Paddock was really he couldn't get a guy out.
Tell me my heart hurt for him. It did, and
I want my team to win. But to leave him
out there to get absolutely abused, I.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Mean, what else you gonna do?

Speaker 4 (19:00):
No choice, I can't keep He took it like a man. Yeah,
so he took it like a man.

Speaker 11 (19:05):
And if you missed the guys, he is leaving the
team for bereavement for a few days, maybe a week.
He's like, listen, man, maybe I can find something when
I come back, maybe I could be better.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Hey, man, I wish him the best. I'm sorry for
your loss.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
I am.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
I mean that in all sincerity. He's been terrible since
he came here. And you know, when you when your
two trade deadline acquisitions have eras skyrocketing towards six, I like, seriously,
he's a human being. I feel for you, but two
awful acquisitions. Awful, no other way to say.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
It, man, no doubt Inning Eaters.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Yeah, you be all right?

Speaker 5 (19:45):
JB.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Where are we going?

in front of me, the TV over there, and I
just got a shitload of food everywhere, so I don't
have to move. Okay, Buddies Pizza will help you out.
Promo code ten meal, Buddiespizza dot Com. All right, NFL
starts tomorrow night. Dude, could you eat one right now?

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Could you ask?

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Okay, I'm glad that I hear that for it, because
there are some people.

Speaker 9 (23:47):
They can't do it.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
It's exist right now I could. I I would destroy
a plate of ribs and a pizza right now.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
I wouldn't even think twice easy, I wouldn't even think.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Twice about I almost stopped and got a bagel from
Birmingham Rose today, but I was just I didn't pull
it off in time.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
I didn't pull it off.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
So this is this is a weird This is a
weird question to ask you, guys. This is a weird
question to ask you guys. But looking back to last year,
did you have a favorite game?

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Was there?

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Was there a favorite Lion? I know, the Dallas game.
A lot of people are going to think of that
until right the Minnesota game. Maybe the Minnesota game where
they locked things up.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Good come back at the first game as well.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Like for me, if if if I need to defer,
I can always pick one of the wins over the Bears.
Right that that's just for personal reasons.

Speaker 6 (24:40):
I mean money, embarrassing the fucking Vikings with everything on
the line for the NFC North.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Is that was that yours? Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Mass No?

Speaker 4 (24:48):
Mine was the Cowboys. Yeah, I mean I was running
around like Harry's birthday. I swear to god, I never
had more fun watching. I wasn't sitting. I was like
running through the house and then it happened.

Speaker 7 (25:00):
It was there one for you jb oh, Yeah, I
got one. It's a game against Houston where we were
battling back and forth. They fell back at the end
and Jake Bates sitting that field goal. I was literally
hands like this, just praying that he makes this field goal.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
Five five.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
We hung out at the bar that night with the crew.
That was that was that was mine. Was the win
at Lambeau, seriously and beauty. And part of the part
of the reason why it was the win at Lambeau
was Dan Campbell and and and I'll tell you why,
because before the Lambo game, do you do you remember
what people were doing? We fall back into old tendencies.
Whether we want to admit it or not, we do. Okay,

(25:41):
we know how good we are, but there's still that
inner child in us that I can't believe I just
used that term.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
But he's so hurt. The Lions have hurt him so.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Bad that that, you know, you hear things like, oh man,
it's gonna rain all way, the field's gonna be shire
not good in the garret, can't play out.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
With the gloves in the sleeves in the hand warm
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
We gonna do it in a cursive Lambeau and Dan
got up there before that game before they left.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Remember big smile on.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
His face and goes, man, I love this. This is
what football is all about. This is why we played football.
We did this when we were kids. I want them
to wear those white jerseys. Those jerseys are gonna be filthy.
This is why we practice.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
And do what we do.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
And then we went and beat the Packers in their weather,
on their field with their quarterback who's so great at
playing in that weather. And he's the guy that gets hurt. Yeah,
he's the guy that gets hurt. So honestly, as cheesy
as it sounds, I think that was my favorite game
from last year.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
As weird as that sounds, I.

Speaker 6 (26:49):
Don't think it's weird. They were putting away a narrative.
So that's that's exactly why.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
And you know what, not only that, but but they
were also easing my inner child, my inner child who
still sits back and goes.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
Grandpa's gonna laugh at me. Grandpa's gonna say, why are
you watching the lines?

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Because they're gonna know them and break your heart. Right,
I mean that that was my You still have views
of Barry Sanders running for three yards, Don Mkowski at quarterback.
Those are all the days that you never ever want
to remember.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
No, absolutely not.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
DC had some comments again on playing at Lambeau.

Speaker 15 (27:28):
Man, we love Lambeau. I mean it's awesome, you know,
It's just that's that's one of those places. On the
eighth Day the Good Lord made Lambeau, you know, and
so we could go out there and play in it,
you know, first Super Bowl, Ice Bowl. The history it's
got and it's in the same location. You know, it's
been upgraded all those but man, it's got that deep

(27:50):
history to it. And you know, it's the grass man,
it's the elements. It's just the mystique. It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Man.

Speaker 15 (27:56):
If you love football, you love going to play there,
and so our guys look forward to it. Man, it's
it's one of those special places to go play.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Isn't that great?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
That's what That's what. That's what I'm like again, you guys,
the new Lions.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Bring it, ye, bring it. We wrap our arms around it.
Bring it. We want it.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
We love going to play there.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
And all of a sudden, do you remember the losing
streak and we never went.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
There and everything, No, no, no, no, no, no no, no, that's
done now, yep, that's done.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
Now it died the moment Kirby Joseph went and picked
off Aaron Rodgers and the end zone and they won
that game.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
That that was the day that shit ended.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Yeah, that was his last completion. The last completion was
the Kirby Joseph as a Packer.

Speaker 13 (28:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
And when I go to a beautiful church downtown Detroit.
We got some beautiful churches. You go to, sweetest heart
to marry. You walk in there, and what I say is,
and my wife even says it, this is the lambeau
Field of churches. It like he said, it's And I've
been there and it's wonderful, and the people are wonderful.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
They are.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
They might have the cheesy go Pack coach chants, but
believe me, they're not abusing you. They're not abusing you.
They're good, friendly football fans and they barbecue in the
lot Sean. I know Case is number one, but I
bet you stream By is number two. I'm telling you
Tailgate Heaven KG.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
This is gonna sound strange, but I think I told
you this before I went to Milwaukee in the spring.
I swear to God, some of the nicest people I've
ever met at Wisconsin.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
Milwaukee is great. I've been to Milwaukee, Downtown Milwaukee shout out.
We had Airbnb right above a bar. We had a
great time, me and my wife. The other parts of
Wisconsin though not so much.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
See, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
Green Bay is like, I'm wonderful.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
When I went to Madison, which is one of the
coolest college campuses you could ever go, I think I'm
not joking.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
They are the nicest people.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
It's it's weird, but it's like Stepford Wives kind of Well,
hello and welcome to Madison.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Would you like some sage? Did you poison?

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Why ever would I do that?

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Nice people?

Speaker 6 (30:07):
I need a little bit of arrogance. I need a
little you know, some bullshit. I'm from Detroit. I need that,
so a little bit of.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
Stand you guys gotta admit this. When the schedule comes out,
the first thing I look for is when are we
going to Green Bay?

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Is it really?

Speaker 4 (30:24):
I look at Thanksgiving first?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, that's that's mine?

Speaker 5 (30:27):
And where are we? What?

Speaker 4 (30:28):
What time of the year are we going to Green Bay?

Speaker 3 (30:30):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (30:31):
In recent years, doesn't it seem we go to Soldier
Field later. It seems like we've had green Bay earlier
and Soldier Field later.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Well, last year we didn't play a division game till
week five or six. Now we get back to back
division game.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Good set the Temple, remind them the bosses in the yard, right,
I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
It all and then you play the Ravens and let's
see what happens on that Monday night.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
So I thank you. I think I told you. Man.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
If I go to lambell I don't want to go
as a quote unquote.

Speaker 5 (31:01):
Member of the meeting.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
No, I don't fan.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Yeah, that's it. That's the only way I go to
Lambeau if I get tickets and one week I'm open
because you know, my weekends have been busy forever in
my life. If I would, that's the only way I
want to go. I had a chance to go as
a member of the media, but I didn't want to.
And it's funny because the broadcast team, I don't know
if you they served like they served like an assortment

(31:26):
of of like sausages and stuff up in the press box,
Like come on, man, sweet, how do you how do
you deny that.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Beautiful stadium what they did with it with the museum,
the Packers Museum. It's beautiful and they did a hell
of a job with the Draft last year they really did.
Pittsburgh gets it this year. I'm sure that's gonna be
off the hook.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
I know, the younger generations, the kg's and the JB's
and things like that.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
I get it. And my son. I always use my
son as example.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
He hates the Packers. That was his tormentor, right like
in the division, JB. It's the Packers for you, right,
is that is that you are most hated.

Speaker 7 (32:02):
I want to say it is split between them and
the Bears, but I think the Packers are just inchine
and out just a little bit more, especially with the
whole Aaron Rodgers saga that we had to deal with
and everything like that. So yeah, it's the Packers only
buying a hair.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Yeah, it's for me. It's a Bears. I mean I
don't we know, Yeah, I don't. I don't it's a Bears.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
But I get it because they were a tormentor for
so long. And that's what my kids said. My kid
goes Dad.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Honestly, God, I see Aaron Rodgers in my.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Sleep, like like, I mean, how many different ways gets?

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Oh yeah, it just keeps playing in my head. It
just keeps replaying and replaying. I'll never get that out
of my house.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
See we have that.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
We have that famous clip of stick and engine the
field goal, right and Baltimore. And it's funny because I
think those are the two reactions. Okay, you get people
laughing and you get people in shock. Right when those
moments happened to us, like the Aaron Rodgers that hail Mary,

(33:04):
I didn't say a word. I like, I shut down.
It was just like, are you saying the Cowboy game?
The Dance Skipper thing?

Speaker 4 (33:12):
Oh? Christ?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
That that was.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
I was in a room full of people that were
screaming and yelling, and I just went like this, like
I was Kevin McAllister from home alone. Yeah, like seriously,
I went like that. It's like I can't react. I
got nothing in moments like that.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
I was pretty angry for that.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
I'm not gonna I know a guy who was at
the game who left the game.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
He had a fit and he never leaves games early,
and he had a fit of rage and bolted out
the door.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
And he was right. That guy was. That guy was right.
He was he was right to leave.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
It was it was gross heartbreaking. That was like a
twenty degree below zero day outside too.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Two years in a row well two years earlier. Actually,
that day the.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Game against the Cowboys was so damn cold. I remember
walking out that wind tunnel.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Oh my gosh, damn col Hutch.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
All eyes are on hutch Man. I don't care what
anybody says you.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
You he is the you ask it.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Listen, if you're picking somebody else.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
I'm most excited to this guy. No, you're not. You're not.

Speaker 5 (34:18):
You're not.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
I'm telling you right now. I can't be excited about
t A.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
No, okay, you're more excited to see hutch forget that,
right that. That's so everybody, you got pick your little guy.
Oh I'm excited to see Tesla. Oh are you you're
more excited to see Hutch. I guess you're right. No,
I mean really, That's that's where we're all at right now.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Hutch had some comments and is he good to go?

Speaker 13 (34:42):
Yeah, man, I'm on my way to being fully bionic,
you know, hopefully that's the last bionic piece that goes
in me. But let me just uh and uh anyways, yeah, no,
it's I feel like this thing is not going anywhere,
you know, And I have a lot of confidence in that.

(35:02):
And I have a ton of confidence in the surgery,
in my rehab and where I'm at, and you know
it's really I moved on and I know that. You
know this thing's like you said, it's fully bionic. It's
not going anywhere, and you're ready to move on.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
I've seen him flying around on the practice field. I'm
cured of being worried. I'm cured.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
It also helps where you're going against Penny Sewel every
f day.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Right again, no one's diving at his leg yet, So
that's see.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, I'm not cured.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
I'm not. You just said you're cured. I don't think
you're cured. Nobody got his leg before. It is kind
of like a freak accident. His leg kind of just
wrapped around somebody. You know what, I have to see it,
I do. I have to see it.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
What like, Once I see it, I'm fine. Once I
see it, I'm fine. Like and it's almost like the
whole angle that that I'm getting at too. It's like,
I think of the next twenty four to forty eight
hours and I hear that a lot of Packer fans
kind of bombed the chat last night of the Heavyweights. Yeah,
I heard a rumor the Packers will remind.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
Us how much we hate them. Oh of course, Well if.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
You're not feeling it right now, I think the next
forty eight hours will be reminded about how much we
hate them.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Pay never got to remind me they hate always there, right.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
I think I need chrits of Hood's defensive series before, like,
I'm fully cured in ease of Hutch's injuries because just
because first one out, everyone is gonna be nervous. Yeah,
you're just on pins and needles, Like, is Huch gonna
be all right? Are we cool with this? But then
that second series and it's like, all right, cool, He's
back to normal, He's fine, He's good to go. That's

(36:41):
why I get all these reporters still constantly asking him
questions about the leg, the leg, how's the leg? You're okay?
It's like, yeah, I'm fine, you guys, let's move on
from that, but we still need to see it to
be okay.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
JB, you hit it.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
We are Google babies deep down inside, we are oh yeah, wait,
the whole inner child.

Speaker 9 (36:58):
We're we are.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
We can we can stick our chest out and have
bravado and all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
But I think because we.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Were hurt so often when we were younger. There's that
little part of you that maybe you don't even know
that exists, that you sit back and you go, she
was gonna fall, right, Yeah, she was gonna fall. Last
year is a perfect example. We were running the league
and then literally we had a historic amount of injuries
like this doesn't happen to.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
Other franchising historic.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
Josh, everything's gonna be okay this year. Yeah, we're gonna
be fine. Everything's gonna be fine.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
Everything, Marcus, simplest games.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
I'll tell you, this is a revenge tour, all right.
I pray get out the old revenge tour. Start printing
them up, and revenge tour might not be fifteen and
two or sixteen and one. Take care of your business
come January and February. Man, that's what it's all about.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
All right.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Still run this division, don't make any mistake about that.
Still run this division. But the real revenge happens in January.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
What Dan Campbell was telling his team to against the
Cowboys last year was complete revenge for that Saturday night
the backle with Dan Skipper the season prior to. They
had their foot on the gas. Even when Hutch went out,
they continued to put their foot on their throat. Now,

(38:17):
Dallas maybe has a chance to get a little revenge
back on us this year, but we'll see. I'm just
saying they were embarrassed. Hey, I'm just saying, Kenny, they
were we embarrassed them.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
I want you, I understand what you're saying, but I
want you to think about this offense against that defense.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Oh yeah, not a chance, not a chance. That's a
horrible matchup for them. Man, that's a horrible matchup for.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
Let's get that. Let's get to that game. Let's get
to that game.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Want blood blood.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Tying to pay back?

Speaker 2 (38:51):
All right, We're up against it. More from Dan Campbell.
Dan Campbell talked on Hutch, he talked on KG mentioned
it Marcus Davenport. Just set the over under over under ten?
Where are you at? Over over or under ten?

Speaker 5 (39:07):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Appreciate you guys. Make sure you jump in the chat.
We'll reach some of the chats. Obviously, super chat goes
to the front of the line.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
JB, where are we going?

Speaker 7 (39:16):
Oh, we gotta double up on this one. Black rock
and uh the new heating and air from a sharings.
But uh, let me clear up a lot of these
Superteskent guy going on shout out to everyone once again,
thank you saw. On a special request from Jordan Lienhard,
he wants to know your favorite in person moment at
the Joe.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Wow, that's a great question. In person, I wasn't there. Yeah,
I wasn't I wasn't there. I wasn't there.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
Probably the two Cup. Probably probably the two Cup.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yeah, it's gotta be, it's gotta Yeah, I wasn't there
that night. I was a young person in the business,
so I drew this short straw. I was covering the
Tigers and Justin Thompson that night.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Oh, little Justin Thompson.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah, no, ooh, I was. I was depressed. I should
have been at the Joe that night, but I was.
I was the young guy, so I got the Tigers
that night. But that yeah, probably the old two Cup.

Speaker 5 (40:11):
Probably the O two cop.

Speaker 7 (40:12):
Okay. Jordan Lionheart sends in another two dollars. He said,
tha's first I n t in the NFL comes Sunday Night,
Buck the Packers.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Hey, I love it, all right, I love it sounds good.
I'm in.

Speaker 7 (40:25):
I'm in and for that one, all right. Steve Limman
sends in five dollars. He said, we beat them last
season with AQM and Levin as Packer fans can't be
real thinking.

Speaker 5 (40:36):
They're going to win.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
You know what's funny, Steve, it is it is crazy
month for the Packers. And I say this every year,
something happens in August and all of a sudden we
think our teams are a game or two better because
all you hear are all these wonderful stories. I'm telling
you for a fact, and some of them might be
watching right now. I know Packer fans who were not

(41:00):
only about the team as a whole, but really about
Jordan Love, and I'm not hearing that anymore. So it's
crazy month for them as well.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
A win against the Lions for them is a season making.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Oh it's huge.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
It's a season.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
It's huge, no doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
It happen.

Speaker 3 (41:18):
It's nice to be the hunting yep.

Speaker 7 (41:20):
I agree. Five dollars from Silas he sends in. He said,
I don't know how it happened, but I became a
full time Vikings hater many years ago. Just something about
them earth sne You.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Know Terry Foster is too. Like Terry told me when
he was a kid that that.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
You know.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
You got to remember in the early years, the Vikings
went to four Super Bowl you know, between Super Bowl
one and Super El eleven they went. They went to
four super Bowl So that's before my time. But Terry
Terry told me, and check out Brother and Terry on Sunday.
So much fun with those guys. Terry Terry told me
that he hated the Vikings when he was a kid.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
It broke a lot of hearts back then.

Speaker 6 (41:58):
Yeah, the Purple Game, this next one, I can't wait.

Speaker 7 (42:02):
Oh boy, Dante one shout out. When did we become
a bunch of pussies.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
I'm trying to tell you, man, the boy is gonna
be fine. The Lions wouldn't put him in a compromising position.
I know we've heard from everybody.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
That he's better. I know he's back, he's better. He's
not Dante, You're not wrong. I need to see it, though, KG,
whether you want to admit it or not, you need
to see it.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Yeah, probably right, Like.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
I know he's gonna be I need to see it.
Just show me one time again. I can't even blame me.
This franchise has has done so many miraculous things over
the years and not in a good way. That that
there is that little party that said we have good things,
but it can't last.

Speaker 3 (42:46):
Right, But that's that so well mentality.

Speaker 5 (42:49):
I know what it is.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
I know it is.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
I need to go down on a couch. I do.
You're not wrong, Danta.

Speaker 7 (42:58):
And finally from Tyler rallis my leg my leg my SpongeBob.

Speaker 5 (43:06):
I get that.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
I love I love that.

Speaker 7 (43:09):
All right, let's hear from the Let's hear from black
Rock and then Sharan's Heating and Cooling.

Speaker 4 (43:14):

That's a great read.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
Yeah, you know we're gonna have We're gonna have a
super Bowl. There are some things we meet we might
never have. We were talking about things we might never
have during the break, but one thing that we're gonna have.
One thing we're gonna have is we're gonna get a
Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
I hope it's this year.

Speaker 11 (48:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Can it be this year or not? Maybe this year?

Speaker 5 (48:11):
Please?

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Like I'm not being a slaptick.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
I'm picking.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
I am and I didn't last year and I am
this year.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
Man, sixty freaking super Bowl? Can we go to a
Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (48:23):
I think I think we're going to see a different
team from the AFC. You know, the other day I
was ESPN. I forget i'ses, but one of the do
he had Baltimore over Detroit in the Super Bowl. And
I'm telling you that would be gutting to me. To
go to the Super Bowl and lose that that would be.
That would be.

Speaker 4 (48:42):
But it's not worse than not going.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
I'm trying to tell you it's not for me. It
would be at least I've seen it in my lifetime.
I can say I've seen the Lions.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
I know, I know how I am. I it would be.
It would be worse. It really would be. Think think
about the two weeks leading up, yeah, and all the
talk about the lines, especially that week before and and
and just the game day and and all the Lion hype,
and then you lose the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
It would be crushing. Don't don't get me wrong. I'm
my soul right out. I'm gonna shed tears when they
win the NFC championship. So just them.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
Being I'm gonna think about my pathy, all the ship
that he went through his lifetime.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
Like I'm it's gonna be different.

Speaker 2 (49:27):
See I I can't have the official dance on my
grandfather's grave until they win a Super Bowl though.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
I can't do that even with the NFC championship.

Speaker 3 (49:35):
That is fair. I can't like that that.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
I'm not joking that night after I'm done crying, because,
to use Dante's word, I will be a little blank,
like honestly. And then and then I'm gonna say, you
guys are more than welcome to me. But I'm gonna
see if I can sneak in that night and and
do that. And because it's just like I told you
was gonna happen, and it happens.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
What's sporting about? To go around the room. What sporting
event or team finally winning or finally doing something you
never thought they'd do brought you to actual tears. We're
all men here, we're all guys. I cried twice, like
I cry a lot, but I cried twice hard for
two teams, the Giants in eighty six finally winning and

(50:22):
the Devils.

Speaker 6 (50:24):
I've never cried. But the Chicago Cubs breaking the one
hundred year curse.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
I thought that was pretty fly. I was really happy
about that.

Speaker 6 (50:33):
I'm trying to think the Pistons winning, but they had
one before, but that was the first one I ever seen,
so of course I was really ecstatic about that.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
But I haven't really cried for.

Speaker 5 (50:40):
Any other team.

Speaker 7 (50:41):
I think I will cry for the line. I think
it's an as well too. The all four Pistons winning
the championship. I didn't cry, but I felt a sense
of pride at being from Detroit and just prideful, just
knowing that, hey, we have a solid team here. They
won a championship, and like, you can't say anything else.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
Like this pride. But then there's crying. Yeah, well you
never thought your team would win.

Speaker 3 (51:03):
I'm not gonna lie. And this one's gonna sound cheesy.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Do you remember the Rose Bowl and the last play
when Stanford went for it?

Speaker 7 (51:11):
Yeah, and they they they didn't get there.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
They did the call or they did the review and
everything you knew, damn well, he didn't get it. There
was like that minute where you were sitting there and
I remember looking at the sky, you know, the obligatory
picture during the Rose Bowl that they.

Speaker 3 (51:28):
Show every Rose Bull.

Speaker 4 (51:29):
It's beautiful of it, of the sun.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
Come down over the mountains and everything, and I was
just like, I am here with my son. This is
unbelievably cool. Yeah, and these people around me were going
did he make it? And I go absolutely not, Like
it's not even close. I'm I'm shocked. I mean, they
had to review it and everything. But but then that
comes into you know, there's there's my old man in

(51:52):
nineteen eighty seven. You think you're going to LA for
the weekend. You're seventeen years old. My buddy played for
the team. Dude, you want to go to the game?

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Oh course?

Speaker 2 (52:02):
I well, hey dad, I'm going to Pasadena this week.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
Oh really have a good, No way.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
In hell you're going. But he's still he's not wrong,
right now. I get that when I'm there is no
way in hell I would have let my seven. Oh really,
you're gonna fly to LA by you so and make
your way from LA to Pasadena.

Speaker 3 (52:23):
Oh, have a great time. How much money do you? Right?

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Like my but my old man had to be the
sarcastic cog.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Oh really, that's so cool.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
So you're gonna go watch Michigan State at USC What
the hell's wrong in your head?

Speaker 3 (52:36):
Did your mother drop you?

Speaker 2 (52:38):
No way in hell you're going seventeen years old going
to Pasadena?

Speaker 3 (52:43):
You would be robbed and raped.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
Yeah that's that's that's that's my dad. But man's that
that was like that was an incredible moment, Like that
was just like and I know it wasn't that championship
or anything, but you know, you're there with your kid
and you're.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
Just like, holy shit, this is a dream.

Speaker 2 (53:05):
I've watched five hundred other schools do this right, this
is this is an absolute dream right now.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
The super Bowl, the first one I went to was
thirty three. I cried there. I cried to a super Bowl,
just go into the super Bowl the national anthem. I
was there from my first super Bowl be watching in
super Bowl five and a super Bowl thirty three. It
was Broncos and Falcons. I finally made it to that game. Yeah,
I cried.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
I told you I hated it. I don't ever want
to go to another super Bowl again. There's just too
much going on.

Speaker 4 (53:38):
There's sort of an outdoor stadium like Tampa or Miami.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
I went to Jacksonville and it was all Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (53:43):
Is not that it was all Miami and Tampa. Man,
that's nothing like those places. There's nothing like them. Nothing.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
The funniest thing is sorry to get off off the
beaten path. The funniest thing and mad as you probably remember,
this was like how they shut down the whole.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Area around four Field for Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Forty and nobody knew where they were going. Like I was,
I was walking everywhere. I was walking blocks away from Comerica,
from Comerica, from from ford Field blocks away and I
should you know this is a true story.

Speaker 3 (54:15):
Joe walking down the street like this, Oh shit, you.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Know when you can see somebody is lost. Yeah, And
and like I I go, hey, Joe, are you looking
for ford Field? And he was like, I have no
idea where I'm going. And I was like, well, I'm
walking over. I don't want you to think I'm a creep.
You know, here's my media pass. Dude, couldn't have been cooler.
But there was so much of that going on. People
were just there's so many there's so much chaos down there.

(54:41):
I'm just not a fan of that.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
Like, like I just when they cleaned up ninety four
just for that. Yes.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
Yeah, So like for years, I always used to say,
I'm gonna go to the super Bowl if the Lions
are there. There's no way in hell. There's no money
I would wouldn't spend. There's no way in hell I
would go. You could offer me two free tickets.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
To the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
Come on, no tickets, no way listen to free tickets.
There is no way you would have the amount of
fun there that you would at home.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
Okay, but no, dude, no, listen to me.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Listen from the food that I have, from the liquor
cabinet that I have, from from the debts that I'm
going to collect that day.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
I hear you, there's no way.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
There's no way I would have as much fun at
the game.

Speaker 3 (55:30):
No way.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
I mean I'd have fun, don't get me wrong, But
it's like this, the hassle, the halftime show, all of it.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
It would be like if the Lions confetti falls at
the end and they raise it.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Imagine that Dan Campbell is Sheila Ford lived. I want
you to think about that, like the gray and blue
confetti falling, so wonderful my spirit, I would die. No, no, no,
Maybe that's why I don't want to go, because I
know in that moment i'd see it down I would
be It would be such a moment of overcoming I

(56:05):
might just fall and down.

Speaker 6 (56:06):
The crowd would go silent, and in my head. I
don't know if any of y'all played Madden but for
a long time. If you play Franchise Mode and you
won with the Lions, they would have that little audio line.

Speaker 3 (56:16):
The Lions, Yes, the Lions have won the super Bowl.
That would be freaking through my head the whole time.

Speaker 7 (56:23):
Like, oh my god, Wow, you just be overcome with
joyce so much.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
I can't.

Speaker 7 (56:28):
I would happen to be there, like I know, I
would love to be here in the city, in the
hardness city, just enjoying it with everyone, but just being there,
just knowing that our team is there too, like I
just want to be there.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
You can't fall into the fetal position though, Like for me,
that's what you could.

Speaker 5 (56:44):
I am.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
It's almost like I'm back in Mom's womb, right, I know.
I know in the first few moments I'll be I'll
be laying in a fetal position.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Oh my god. With the little music so much boo.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
Up the fight song, Kendy, you know.

Speaker 3 (57:01):
What I got?

Speaker 6 (57:03):
So hey, you gotta play this once they lifted, though,
you got to.

Speaker 5 (57:10):
Work down a liar.

Speaker 4 (57:13):
See that will I'm.

Speaker 3 (57:15):
About singing that house in the blue and so come out.

Speaker 4 (57:18):
Shot this fight flight rah rah, come out checking the
game with honor. You will keep your head.

Speaker 3 (57:28):
Hey, the game a lion.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
I don't like that song.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
I don't, but when you play it, I have no choice.

Speaker 7 (57:42):
Immediately want to you know, the lions want to gee
like about the.

Speaker 5 (57:46):
End of this year.

Speaker 3 (57:47):
I promise you. I hope.

Speaker 4 (57:48):
So, oh my God, legitimately, I I hope.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
So I'm all in.

Speaker 3 (57:53):
I don't I don't want to think.

Speaker 4 (57:54):
I wouldn't have any tears left.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
I don't want to think about it. Like like I
it hurts my chest. I'm not joking, it doesn't. It
hurts my That's it for me. Listen, I I like
other sports more. I'm football is king. The Lions are
king in this town.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
That that that that's it. Like I worry like I
would die afterwards, So like that's it.

Speaker 4 (58:18):
It'll be a great death, like my spirit, it will
be a great death.

Speaker 3 (58:22):
A good deficitsful. God kill me. Do what you need
to do, man, because this.

Speaker 4 (58:32):
Is I can now rest in peace.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
Uh Dan Campbell talking about Hutch.

Speaker 5 (58:40):
Excited.

Speaker 15 (58:41):
You know, I can't wait to watch him go.

Speaker 5 (58:43):
You know.

Speaker 15 (58:43):
I mean he's putting a lot of a lot of time,
a lot of effort, a lot of hard work to
get back to where he's at right now. And you know,
when you have the game taken away from you for
whatever reasons, you know, it just gives you a little
extra motivation to come back. So I'm excited to watch him.
You know he's gonna be ready to go. He'll be
ready to go. I feel like he's he's improved himself

(59:07):
even from last year. Just his ability to bend, you know,
his mechanics with his hands, his hips, his you know,
there's tricks of the trade you learn along the way
as you grow. And I do feel like, you know,
from a flexibility standpoint, and then just man continuing to
hone his own skills. Man, I think you begin to
you can elevate yourself even a little bit more. So,

(59:31):
I just feel like he's done that, and you know
he's and here's what, you know, He's gonna give you
everything he's got every play. He's out there every play.
And so that's why, you know, I'm excited because I
know the guy's gonna give us everything he's got, no
matter what it is.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Yeah, I'm not worried about that. There's an engine on
that guy that is gonna roll and a hutch as
he's Okay, I'm cool with it, but I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (59:55):
Still need to see it fair enough.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
He overcame injury at Michigan, he'll overcome mich All have
become injury here in Detroit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
I'm not gonna lie like for you fans of the Bible,
shout out to the Bible.

Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
I'm doubting Thomas.

Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Hey, J Dog, I believe you. You're coming back. I'm
with you. Can I put my finger through those holes
in your hand? J Dog?

Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Like, I'm with you. You know you're my dog.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Okay, but when listen, just put up your hands. Just
let me put my finger in that like. That's kind
of where I'm at with Hunch.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
I'm with you, U. I am with you. You are
my bra, but you are my dog. Okay, but I
need to see it. He's gonna be fine, you know
he is.

Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
You'll see it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
DC on Marcus Davenport KG set the over under at ten.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
I'm gonna hold you to that. KG A ten. Can
we do ten and a half or would you rather
do nine and a half. Let's do.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Yes, Hey, listen, let's and all jokes aside. With Utch,
this guy's the ultimate. You have to fucking prove it right.

Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
Yeah, but with him he hurts something different every year.
That's not the same.

Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
What are you doing nine and a half over under?

Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
I'm taking me over, okay, Okay, give me twelve over JB.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Nine and a half?

Speaker 7 (01:01:22):
Over under under JB?

Speaker 5 (01:01:29):
I love that you put.

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
That dumb sound in. Shut it down all right?

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
DC on uh the over nine and a half Marcus Davenport, Oh.

Speaker 15 (01:01:42):
God, he's another guy who had a really good camp
for us. You know, he's done exactly what we asked
him to do. He's got some versatility with his ability
to play really in all the packages that we have,
and you know his there's nothing more than he needs
to show me, you know, like I know he can
do it all. And he's doing everything he can to

(01:02:04):
take care of his body. And you know, he went
through a rigorous offseason, you know, to try to help
all that, which is a credit to him to put
the workout. And he's in a good place right now.
And you know him opposite a hutch is it's pretty
good right now.

Speaker 5 (01:02:20):
You know.

Speaker 15 (01:02:21):
So I think he just continue on the trajectory he's
at right now and just man take it one day
at a time. I'm glad we got him.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
You guys were this close. You understand that right like
this is I mean, I don't know, for me, this
has seemed like the longest offseason I can remember of
course it really has.

Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
Because of how it ended last year. That's why.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
Do you know when we did that show out at
Feldman the next day, KG and we were all on
all that day though we were that was like it
was not, it was not we were all and I
was really mister salty pants at day.

Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
Of course I could.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Yeah, if you remember, Kate, I was really mister salty
pants at day.

Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
I was a bad boy that day.

Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
But what was your take?

Speaker 4 (01:03:06):
The whole take that day for you?

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
It really it absolutely gutted me.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Although I knew the end was coming, I didn't think
it would be against Washington, and I allowed those thoughts
to creep into my head that it's never gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
I allowed the I allowed those thoughts to creep in
my head. I could hear my grandpa. I could see
my grandpa and my father like like one of those
cheesy like like Happy Gilmour where they're all waving it
at Happy Remember you know, Chubs and the alligator. I
could see my grandpa and and my dad standing like this,
and the cloud's going yeah you so you're the jumping

(01:03:45):
you know, at some point in time you're gonna wait
and I'm throwing at the cloudy Look he's getting hit
it in the snowball. We're ten thousand feet up. See
what I said, You're dumb. That's like, I'm not gonna lie.
I allowed that ship to pop into my head because

(01:04:07):
we we had the right like it was there.

Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
It was our best against their worst, but we didn't
use it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
We had a wonderful recipe and we thought we had
all the ingredients for the recipe, and then all of
a sudden, when it came time to bake, okay, half
the ingredients disappeared. I'm not gonna give you a good
brisket unless I get the prime ingredients. Okay, that's why
I don't like to make brisket, because I'm gonna make

(01:04:36):
If I'm gonna make brisket, I'm gonna use all the
best ingredients man, and time enough, and.

Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
We got it. We got it.

Speaker 4 (01:04:48):
Ben Johnson did not turn on the heat proper.

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
We got them.

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
That's that's like, honestly, I'm not and I'm confessing to
you guys, and I'm sure a lot of you did.
You don't need to confess it. Like literally that day,
I sat back and I said, it's never gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
I said it to myself. I didn't verbalize it on
the show. I didn't verbalize it anybody. That was just
that was my destruction that day. I literally sat back
and said, son of a bitch, it's never gonna happen.
And I was acting out of emotion. And I forgot
that we have one of the best general managers of
the league. I forgot that we have a coach that
completely changes culture. I forgot that we have Chris Bielman,

(01:05:24):
who helped it all along. And I forgot about the
talent that we have here. So now, yes, I'm back
in the same position I was a year ago, where
I'm sitting back going yes, the goal is to win
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:05:34):
Of course, win the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
Yes, it is anything less than that, I won't be satisfied.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
And no offense to you or anybody else out there. Okay,
if you're cool, Hey, let's win the NFC and go
to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
That's cool. I'm not saying I'm not going.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
To enjoy it. I just I know I'll be gutted
that day and I'll throw my hat that day.

Speaker 4 (01:05:52):
Oh yeah, you'll throw your hat you might not make
it to work the next day.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
No, it probably won't.

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
That might be a good idea because my performance that
day wasn't.

Speaker 6 (01:06:01):
It'll be the KG Show with mass Yeah, you want
to take a break, KG.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
I know we have so much more sound to get to.
Absolutely yeah, and we're probably three or four breaks late,
just two, I think.

Speaker 7 (01:06:15):
Sorry, JB, It's all right, sor right here, let me
clear up some of these superstants before we hear from
the Massage Sure House and the college football shore. So
four ninety nine from Dante one to five to one.
He sends in this is winning the four championship because
when I was young, they made it to the Eastern
Conference finals and lost until they did it finally in
a four. So that was his proud moment.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
That was That was one of the funnest nights. I
can't even explain to you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
Do you know?

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
It's pretty cool when it's two o'clock in the morning
and kid Rock has no idea what your name is
and invites you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Over his house.

Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
That's a pretty cool moment. I'm not gonna lie. That's
a pretty good Hey, dude, come over my house tonight. Yeah,
I gotta have wife and get it home. I probably
best if I head back to Northfield.

Speaker 7 (01:07:01):
But thanks kid, come on hang out with the rocksir,
come on, hang out with kids. Five dollars from Silas.
He sends in, We're gonna be the most ungracious winners
ungracious ever. I gotta listen. I'm just going on socials,
going packers, few vikings. You don't have this f you like?
The list goes on and on from there.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
I might just walk around like this two straight days.

Speaker 8 (01:07:25):
Yeah, Bryan Bratchett, why, I might get in my car
and drive to the Miracle Mile and I don't care
if it's seventy degrees.

Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Just walk it down the street like that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Bears for you, Bears for you. Oh, it's gonna be awful.
You are absolutely right, it's gonna be so damn ugly man.

Speaker 7 (01:07:44):
And one more. Jordan Linehars sends in two hours special
request as well, one hundred and fifty lights and Sean
has to sing the song.

Speaker 3 (01:07:52):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, don't do that.

Speaker 4 (01:07:54):
Half think we're more than halfway there.

Speaker 7 (01:07:56):
Don't do that, y'all know to go, let's go, don't
do that.

Speaker 5 (01:08:01):
Not like, but.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Don't do that. I'm not j JB. You're with me.
I think JB is Kenvergin. No JB. Don't don't do
thing like that.

Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
No, No, I said, I'm still. I'm still the lions
one again got.

Speaker 15 (01:08:19):
Down the.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
No, I don't want to be up. And we were
all in a happy place. But let me tell you something.
Sun Cruiser will put you in a happy place as well.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
This this is.

Speaker 9 (01:12:25):
We're gonna roll.

Speaker 23 (01:12:26):

Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
It won't fill you up on game day.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
Only one hundred calories, four point five percent alcohol. Honestly,
you guys, this is the real deal. We had some
over my house a few weeks ago. Neil and I
are gonna roll with this each and every Sunday with you.
By the way, check this out this Sunday, Uh, Neil
and I are back together doing the ten to noon show.
Get you hyped up for the NFL day. So this season, wy,

(01:13:00):
don't you let the good times cruise with Sun Cruiser
and Woodward Sports. Please drink responsibly and KG you are right.
I want the lines to fuck it will all year?

Speaker 5 (01:13:12):
Oh yeah, all year?

Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
Please all no vaciline Tennessee game, Dallas game. I want
I want more of that. I'm the coolest thing about
the Tennessee game, Like, I'm not Jokingville. I did leave.
I left my house, like I know you saw enough.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
I needed.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
I needed to exercise a ghost because I used to
have cider milt days. We're in the in the middle
of the third quarter, they're down by twenty seven points,
and you're just like, I'm not doing this.

Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
To myself today. I am not gonna let you ruin
my Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
And so you know what I did when they were
up so big, I kind of looked at my kid
and I was like, you want to roll to the
cider mill.

Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
Wasn't that such a good feeling? And he was like, Dad,
let's do it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
And it wasn't just just to say that we left
during a lion blow up.

Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
You never.

Speaker 3 (01:14:02):
You never.

Speaker 6 (01:14:03):
You really don't over the the totality. Even with them
being good, you don't get a lot of just lions.
You know, they got this ship locked the fuck up.
So yeah, that Tennessee game was was kind of refreshing.

Speaker 2 (01:14:14):
I think that we underestimate a lot of things about
this team, and just having some chats with people, I
think we're underestimating this defense when healthy, I think we're
we're underestimating the anger of this team.

Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
I do. This is an angry team.

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
They take numbers.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Yeah, and by the way, let me just say again,
David Montgomery, boo cut him.

Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
He's no good boo. I wouldn't give him the ball
at all.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Boom boo boo bad cut him. I love his anger.
I want that anger.

Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
That man said it is a year of reckoning. Yes,
Like who says that boo cut him? He's bad?

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
Like, like, I want that, That's that's what I want.
I'm serious.

Speaker 4 (01:14:58):
Well he was a Bear.

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
I did, Yeah, I did, babe. Well, anybody who goes
to the Bears, like that's it, You're You're just sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
You how could you? That doesn't mean like, think of
your favorite college player, whoever your favorite college player is, right,
he go, he goes to your division rival.

Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
I'm done with you. It's tough, right, I had to
watch JJ go over there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Man, But you're done with them?

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, it was nice.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
I appreciate and I say the same thing, thanks for
the memory. Like seriously, to he whose name I Dana,
dare not mention, I'm not. I'm not disrespecting BJR, Like
I want to beat you bad, like real bad like
I'm gonna hurt you real bad, like the type of stuff, right,
I don't get it. Dan Campbell, by the way, on

(01:15:48):
another guy that we hope is a bigger part in
the grand scheme of things, DJ Reader.

Speaker 15 (01:15:54):
I think he's one of those guys who's just silently
gotten better too, who was coming off the quiet injury,
you know, and man worked himself back, rehabbed, got back.
I thought, had a really good year for us last year.
And and he looks better too because he had a
full off season. Right He's he's almost two years removed
from the injury he had, and so he's in a

(01:16:15):
good spot. And absolutely we're gonna need him. And he
has he's been one of those you know, I hate
to say silent, but he's had this. It's kind of
been this quiet really kick ass camp he really has. Man,
he's shown up. So he's a staple force right now.
And yes, we're gonna need him. He's big for us.

Speaker 3 (01:16:35):
All right, Where are you guys at with DJ Reader?

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
I think he's gonna be a great help With Tyleek Williams.
I think he's gonna be terrific. I heard him speak
earlier a couple of weeks ago we had sound from him.
He's a fun loving guy. He's in a good place
and he's in the perfect spot. And this kid that
they drafted out of Ohio State, Williams, is I think
gonna benefit greatly from having him lead.

Speaker 3 (01:17:01):
No, Maz, I totally agree.

Speaker 6 (01:17:02):
And with DJ Reader, his stats don't necessarily pop off
the page at you. You almost forget what he provides
for this defensive end. But this is why when Aleen
went down, I wasn't necessarily panicking. Yes, losing a lien
is a big loss. I'm not discrediting that at all.
But having somebody like a DJ Reader there sures up
that middle of the defensive line and having somebody like

(01:17:23):
ty Leak that is going to be a space eater. Man,
I think they're gonna be just as good. Uh, you know,
and until Eleen gets back, And then once Eleen gets back.

Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
You're looking at one of the better defensive lines in football.
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:17:36):
Like, and I Maz, I'm so glad to hear you
say ty Leak because it's it's it's like, I love
that you'll never go wrong when you draft in the trenches.
I'm sorry, Yeah, now the only way, the only way
you go wrong is if the guy doesn't work correct. Okay,
I mean that, but but I'm sorry you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
KG.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
I go back to that gosh damn Monday after the
Washington loss and then after the Super Bowl. I remember
doing this show with you and Neil, and it was
like you didn't need a reminder, but we all got
a reminder of how important the trenches are in the
national football No, absolutely.

Speaker 6 (01:18:08):
And the Lions have excelled at that the last two seasons.
They are They make teams one dimensional. When you can't
come in and run the football, that totally changes your
whole game plan, and that opens things up for the
secondary to be as great as they are. You know,
see Kirby Joseph's interception total. So I have no doubt
that this defensive line, as long as they stay healthy,
they're gonna be just fine. And then you're getting hushed

(01:18:30):
back too. He's the great equalizer. He's one of thought
up a lot of the deficiencies on this defense.

Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
No doubt, U d C on the team captains JB.
Let's roll with that.

Speaker 15 (01:18:42):
You know, proud of those guys that that you know
our captains. You know really repeat you know once again,
very much the same as last year. You know, it's
a big honor mal in your teammates, you know, give
their vote of approved and look at you that way.

(01:19:02):
You know, golf and soul and saying and Hutch and
Alex and then you know Stuart Man, our new guy
coming in, you know, establishing himself. He just you know,
like all of them. Man, they when when your best players,
your hardest workers, and they grind it every day. Man,
that's uh, it's hard to uh, it's hard not to
have success. So anyway, proud of those guys, man, they

(01:19:24):
earned it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
You know what the cool crazy thing is about this team?
You legitimately have probably twenty to twenty five captain material
on this team. Amen, Like really and truly absolutely like
twenty to twenty five captain material. I mean that's crazy.
By the way, JB. I got to get to this
in a second. What you just sent us think, I

(01:19:47):
got it?

Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
I got it.

Speaker 7 (01:19:48):
A couple of things.

Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Well, the cowboy one's funny, but no, the beer thing
is pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (01:19:55):
I want to get to that in a second.

Speaker 2 (01:19:58):
Dan Campbell talking up Scott Montgomery and what's he seen
on Scotty.

Speaker 15 (01:20:02):
Look, Scott, he's a stud man.

Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
He is.

Speaker 15 (01:20:05):
He's uh, he's an invaluable coach for me. Uh, you know,
he does a lot of He wears really a lot
of different hats, not only you know, the assistant head coach,
but the receivers, the offense, screen game, the past game,
the splits, the formations, the the tendencies. I mean, he
wears a ton of hats. And so anytime you've got
a guy who really is a damn good coach, knows

(01:20:27):
how to communicate as a good rapport with the guys,
understands what we want, offensively, knows what I want. And
you give him a bigger you give him more people
to be, you know, to have that that's really your
your guys. Uh, you can't help it get better. So
that room's gonna only get even better than it's been.

(01:20:47):
And uh, those guys are really receptive to him and
and respect the heck out of him.

Speaker 2 (01:20:52):
Yeah, no doubt about that.

Speaker 1 (01:20:54):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
You know, there's something to be said for that continuity.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
And you know one position that has to build some
content dinnuity is this offensive line, and a lot of
the pieces are still the same. It's not like Graham
Glasgow hasn't been around. Obviously you have to inject take
ret legend to the situation. But this is Hank Frehley
on having Graham Glasgow as part of the rotation.

Speaker 13 (01:21:17):
You can just expand on that a little bit of
the experience that he has being a veteran.

Speaker 9 (01:21:21):
How much that just settles everything down, the ideas, and I.

Speaker 24 (01:21:25):
Think he settles the whole offense down. Confidence. It probably
starts sometimes, you say, with the quarterbacks, right, they know,
if somebody in front of them can control it, take
take charge, that's what you want. And you know, so
Golf and him are always on the same page. You know,
anytime somebody had to go down, he always moved right
back in there at.

Speaker 7 (01:21:42):
Center, you know.

Speaker 24 (01:21:43):
And sometimes you know, what's your best five or six
is a better move two parts, you know. So he
has calmed everybody down and just go with your rules.
Like I said in first game in the season, there's
gonna be something maybe new that we're not prepared for
to see, and just don't chase. As long as we're
all that same page, we can make it right, you know. So,
but he he's a calming presence for everybody. Guys, can

(01:22:06):
you know his note note taking is one of the
best I've been around. And you know, he really keeps
all in the old notebooks from last year. They are
still stacked up there, so like all his Green Bay
notes from last year, he's already referencing, oh, well we
did this last year, We're doing this again, you know,
and they're so detailed out and he keeps them there
for the year. You know, That's how him and I

(01:22:28):
would say, ragn now where their boat books all stayed
there for the years, and they just keep you know,
keep it going like a library for them. So but
he's he's smart player. He's been in the league for
a long time. Year ten, I believe this is for
him and he's done it all from right guard center
to the left guard. So well, I'm glad he's we
slid him back in there. And like I said, Tate

(01:22:49):
was doing great though honestly he was doing great. And
we have a lot of we got on younger, which
is good for us to.

Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
What is this year like? Good stuff?

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
All Right, I gotta I gotta pull this up with JP.
You just sent this to me. Can we do this
very quickly before we go to the break? Did you
guys see this list price of a beer by MLB teams.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Look at that damn fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
Washington National Dame, oh Washington, Okay what and the Orioles.
I'm going to Canada for the games, hey, listen, especially
with the American dollar.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
Trust me.

Speaker 2 (01:23:25):
We used to go to Roger Center every single year
for like ten years and the place is awful.

Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
It is I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:23:33):
The outdoor though, like all the little like vendors and
stuff that they have unbelievablelie. So we went to I
took my boy to Anaheim last summer, but he was
living out in LA but he had never seen an
Angels game. And number one, all I heard from people
is what a dump that was? And I completely disagree.
I felt like Maz that day. A No, Mans, I

(01:23:55):
felt like you because all everybody told me is what
a dump it was, and it was walking around going
this place is great, yeah, you know, because that's the
land of wonderment. Man, this place is great like that. No, really,
I felt like you that day, and my kid loved
it because of the cheap beers there. You would think,
being outside of LA that they'd skyrocket it, but no,

(01:24:16):
it was cheap beers.

Speaker 4 (01:24:17):
And I don't I don't believe the Tiger's price.

Speaker 3 (01:24:19):
No, I was just that.

Speaker 4 (01:24:23):
Nine dollars there.

Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
Last I paid thirteen dollars for Shandy. Five dollars.

Speaker 4 (01:24:29):
Shandy five dollars. You can't get peanuts for five dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
I don't know where they got the five twenty nine.
I've heard that it's at one of the little kiosks
and everything, but it's probably one kiosk. So when asked
about it, they oh, yeah, we have five twenty nine beers.
But it's like a couple like this, right right, something
like that, something like that.

Speaker 4 (01:24:51):
That's okay, five dollars for that, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:24:54):
I wish it was.

Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
I don't say anything under twelve to fifteen dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:24:57):
So when I went with my boys a couple of
months ago, yeah, the twenty second. We went to twenty second.

Speaker 3 (01:25:04):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
We we got a couple of rounds each and it
was eleven dollars a pop, you know. And then and
then of course you have to tip because it's cordless,
and I'm one of those guys. I just feel like
a dick. I'm never ever gonna press no tip. You
poured the beer for me, right, But you're at least
getting a ten percent tip.

Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Sorry, that's just the way.

Speaker 4 (01:25:22):
But the first number that comes up is twenty percent
of eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:25:27):
Yeah, but I'll give you ten percent tip.

Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
Well, yeah, you know they're no the cash.

Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
I think it was eleven bucks each because it it
was like, you know, for the round of four, absolutely
it cost me forty nine bucks. And it's just like
I just bought four beers for forty nine bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
Ridiculous it is.

Speaker 7 (01:25:44):

Speaker 9 (01:25:49):
Look at that?

Speaker 3 (01:25:49):

there that course.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):

a three.

Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
Dollars beer while I lose it about twenty runs.

Speaker 4 (01:26:00):

Yeah, six There's nothing in that park that's six dollars nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
Could you imagine the Chicago White Sox like like they've
been such a woebegone franchise for so long and you're
charging people that they should give you beer.

Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
Come to the game, we'll give you beer.

Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
Jesus comes in red sox. I can understand that.

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Yeah, Pittsburgh is such a beautiful park.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
I know you know that.

Speaker 7 (01:26:41):
Jb Oh, of course it's a beautiful park.

Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
Was the beer six ninety one out there? I know
you had a beer.

Speaker 7 (01:26:46):
It wasn't six ninety one or what eight ninety one?
It was eight yeah around eight yeah, okay around at
eight ninety one. But still it wasn't bad.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
All right, So there you have it. If you're one
of those people you like to plan some trips. I
think we're taking two next year. We're in the preliminary discussions. Uh,
he wants to go to Seattle, Like that's is he wants.
He wants that one. And then I want to take
him to Fenway. Okay, like that's that's Fenway is awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:27:13):
I love Fenway, your favorite spit spit on it for me.
I can't do that, but you right, it's all right.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
Yeah, I loved f To me that the neighborhood thing,
like the bars around there and everything that that, it
was unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
It's reminiscent of I know you don't you're not a
big Wriggley guy. But but I think it's reminiscent of no.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
It's cool neighborhood, great vibe.

Speaker 3 (01:27:37):
I really, what is it, Wrigley Villa or whatever it's called.
It's pretty cool street. I just I think the stadium
itself is just you know, a J B firmness. Elgatta win.
The chat. The hot dogs at Pittsburgh Park suck.

Speaker 7 (01:27:52):
I didn't did not get a grizzy at the park,
so I'm not too sure about that, but I do
know that the price is this past weekend went up
a little bit because obviously the Pirates were not playing
at P and C, but the most entertaining baseball team
was at playing at P and C Park. That savan
of bananas were there as well too, And Sean, we

(01:28:13):
are planning our like next year's trips, so I think
I'm going to the Yankee Stadium that we're trying to
go to New York. So I think Yankee Stadium is
a place I want to hit.

Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
I would recommend it to anybody, but I would also
tell you you'll be disappointed.

Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (01:28:30):
It is.

Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
It's it's very it's very corporate, Yeah it is. It's
it's very corporate. Yeah, it's just.

Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
Like the old charm of old old Yankee Stadium is all.
I hate the Yankees, I mean like, but it was history.

Speaker 4 (01:28:45):
But the City Field, you'll love it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
That was That's one of my favorites. That's probably number
two on my list.

Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Ser Field.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
That's what like JB no joke, you you would love
City Field. Really really cool vibe there. I think they
did a good job of mixing all the modern amenities
and yet kind of making it like that homey triple A.
Yeah it's I I really I love the City Field.

(01:29:12):
That's my number two, behind Pittsburgh. Behind Pittsburgh for sure.
You know, I kind of like the old ones though,
Like Dodger Stadium was cool.

Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Yeah, Dodger Dogs are unbelievable. I liked La I did.

Speaker 2 (01:29:23):
I liked Angel Stadium all right, So I wanted to
get that out of the way. Talk a little college football. Uh,

of the week is Michigan.

Speaker 4 (01:29:49):

And I'm not saying that it couldn't still happen.

Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
But looking good.

Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
If you saw this quote that Dan Campbell had about
Zaderia Smith thanks to our friends at Detroit Sportscast, the
Sports Podcast and an old buddy, Jim Costa, I think
that tells you the story right there.

Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
I asked Dan about Zadarius Smith and his quote was,
we're good.

Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
That doesn't mean that a door couldn't open somewhere down
the line, right right. I really wonder if it's about dollars,
I really do.

Speaker 4 (01:35:48):
I don't know why they wouldn't want him on.

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
I think it's term more. You think that's what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
Yeah, it's it's it could be.

Speaker 3 (01:35:56):
But what do you expect Dan Campbell to say?

Speaker 6 (01:35:58):
Like, we got to focus on the guys that are
one ask to me about Zadarias Smith every fucking per.

Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
I don't have any problem with him saying what he said. Yeah,
and that doesn't Like I said, that doesn't mean the
door is shut, but it ain't happening anytime soon.

Speaker 3 (01:36:12):
Yeah, in case of injury break lass right, that's exactly it.

Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:36:17):
Can I talk about very quickly before we get into
some some top twenty five stuff and look ahead a
little bit to two big games. We're gonna find more
out about our teams this weekend. If you're a Michigan fan,
you'll find out more about Michigan. If you're a Michigan
State fan, you'll find out more about Michigan State. I'll
repeat the same thing I've said forever. You don't get

(01:36:37):
anything out of those games last week. Yeah, no disrespect
to Western Michigan, no disrespect to New Mexico.

Speaker 4 (01:36:43):
They were practice games.

Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
Only bad things can come from those games from perception fact,
when by three touchdowns you were supposed to when by
a field goal.

Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
Ooh, you scared lose.

Speaker 2 (01:36:54):
It's the end of your program. You know how that works? Okay?
Can I can I tell you the schedule this weekend?

Speaker 3 (01:37:01):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
Florida International at Penn State, San Jose State at Texas,
Illinois at Duke East, Texas A and m at Florida State,
Iowa Iowa State.

Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
Okay, now, I'll take that. I'll take that. I'll take that.

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
Baylor smu Keenisau State Indiana, Kent State, Texas Tech, Utah
State A and M Grambling at Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
I'm not making that up time.

Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
Austin p at Georgia, Okay State at Oregon does a
little something for me. Troy at Clemson. I kind of
like this one. I'm not gonna lie Old Mills at
Kentucky Okay, Old Mills Eastern Tennessee State at Tennessee, South
Florida at Florida, Cal Poly at Utah, Bethune at Miami

(01:37:48):
sc State versus South Carolina, Louisiana Tech, First LSU, Arizona State,
Mississippi State, Louisiana, Monroe at Alabama. It's a horrible slick.
What is and the games that were most interested in.
As you pointed out, man at seven thirty at night,
both of them number fifteen. Michigan travels to number eighteen.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
Oklahold, I like to sound of that.

Speaker 4 (01:38:13):
Michigan's getting five and a half ranked. Now that's the number.
Would gamblers know when you see a five and a
half number, take the dog.

Speaker 3 (01:38:23):
I would take Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:38:25):
I'm gonna say this again. I think he is one
of the poster children for losing his job at the
end of the year. Venables, I just don't think he's
a good coach. Watching them the last few years, I
just don't think he's a good joke. Now the flip side,
and I know even you Michigan, you want to see
more out of charown more as well.

Speaker 3 (01:38:44):
Absolutely, there's no doubt about that proof.

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
I don't think you could say that Charon Moore is
on a hot seat, whereas Venables is definitely out.

Speaker 5 (01:38:52):
Of hot seteat.

Speaker 3 (01:38:53):
Yeah he is, There's no doubt about seat.

Speaker 5 (01:38:56):
Know that.

Speaker 2 (01:38:56):
Yeah, that man, that man, that man is on a
hot seat right now.

Speaker 3 (01:38:59):
And and JB.

Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
For guys like you and I, that BC game last
year started the misery for me. Start That was a
wa coda should have didn't game across the board, and
that that was when the first flag started to go
up about Aidan Giles. And I didn't want to believe
it that day. Literally I sat there and I was like, nah,
and I went through the whole checklist there sadly there

(01:39:23):
are still some people doing Nah. He's young. Nah, this
is this is news.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Got talent?

Speaker 2 (01:39:29):
You keep saying the same things a year later, and
I don't care who you are. You have to sit
back and now you have to be really really concerned
about that top twenty five. I think we have a
graphic for that top twenty five in case you missed it.
To the surprise of nobody, there's your boy. I just

(01:39:50):
want you guys all to admit the Ryan Days bad
was awful. He's got to stop the die job though
he's got I mean, it's just let me ask you
a question, Eminem's dye job or Ryan Day's die job,
which is worse right by.

Speaker 4 (01:40:06):
Far, But at least Ryan Day he's been he's had
the same die job, like it hasn't changed. You don't
really officially know that it's died because he really hasn't changed.

Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
Man. That's like evil mass We know we you know
I changed.

Speaker 2 (01:40:22):
It's that when it's that unnatural though it looks like
a burnt cigarette, like really it's smoked, it's unnatural when
it's it looks like.

Speaker 4 (01:40:32):
I think it's a good looking picture of him. Oh
my god, don't you think that's a good looking picture?

Speaker 3 (01:40:38):
You think about doing it just for mask kid? Again?

Speaker 4 (01:40:40):
No, listen, this is the truth.

Speaker 5 (01:40:43):
This is the truth.

Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
My wife was cleaning the cabinets out on Monday night
for some reason, and she's like, you still want this.

Speaker 3 (01:40:51):
Just for men.

Speaker 5 (01:40:52):
I'm like, no, throw it away.

Speaker 3 (01:40:56):
What made you get it in the first place.

Speaker 4 (01:40:57):
I know it was my family. You should die your beard, dad,
you should dye your hair. Come listen.

Speaker 3 (01:41:06):
I thought it was Clive Frasier commercial from back in
the day. Oh no, it was Walt.

Speaker 4 (01:41:11):
It was Walt that did it to me. Yeah. I
tried it and I despised it. I despised it. I
made I made a fool of myself.

Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
You remember when Emmett Smith did those commercials.

Speaker 3 (01:41:21):
It was so uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (01:41:23):
Oh, I feel so all it's like, am stop.

Speaker 7 (01:41:29):
I mean, Ryan Day did add some new hardware to himself.
I don't know if you guys seen this.

Speaker 4 (01:41:33):
Oh god, don't show it, show it, you know, freak boy, freaking.

Speaker 3 (01:41:40):
What would possess you to do that? Like, I'm not
being like, I don't know a freaky ass boy. Clearly,
what did you say? He likes to fuck it?

Speaker 5 (01:41:50):
Wheel?

Speaker 3 (01:41:54):
Now? What he fucking? We don't know, We don't know
what he does? Remind you of? It reminded me of
from the water Boy.

Speaker 23 (01:42:01):
Yeah, remember through the winning Bowl when he touched down
at the Bourbon ball and Farmer friends just sitting there
yanking on his nips.

Speaker 2 (01:42:11):
Ryan dagon All, Farmer fran on me, come on.

Speaker 4 (01:42:15):
Ryan Hamburger Harvey, don't play. No play for mister Gray, right,
no play for mister Gray.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
I honestly got I couldn't care less about going gray
because it doesn't bother me in any way, shape or form.

Speaker 3 (01:42:29):
Not.

Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
Now, when your nether region looks like one of those
hostess snowballs, that's a different story, right, I'm not there?

Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:42:39):
Can I can?

Speaker 2 (01:42:40):
I maybe, you know, get it like a toothbrush and
dye some of that down there.

Speaker 3 (01:42:44):
I don't need to own the snowballs. Okay?

Speaker 6 (01:42:47):
Oh no, I want to shout this one now, shout
out to Steve reinert. In the chat, Ryan Dan is
about three years away from a new career in nugenics commercials.
He pierced his nipples so his players will meet him
in the shower the eugenics commercials, I can see you
or to copper Fee, He'll be out there with Brett Favan,
the fucking copper feet commercials.

Speaker 7 (01:43:08):
I can see you see.

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):

Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
By the way, can I very quickly say did you

over there and boo them and say you're really bad,
You're really bad. Boom, you're not gonna win anything, boom.
I want that anger. I want all these lions to
be angry this year. Okay, just trust me. If you

(01:43:53):
them and tell them how bad they are.

Speaker 3 (01:43:55):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:43:56):
I want this team pissed off. I want that that
that Vene store across the board. Okay, so yeah, just
gonna slid over, but don't do it in front of
their families, right Yeah. Like if I saw David Montgomery
walking on the sidewalk, like I'd be that weasel boo
his hiss boo, and then I go pick up and
run because I'd be afraid he beat the ship out

(01:44:18):
of me. But I want the angry lions. I need that.
I love David Montgomery's anger. Most of all, I do reckoning.
Who throws the word around rating, That's what I love.
That's those are the types of things I say. Stuff
I say to my grandfather's tomb.

Speaker 3 (01:44:40):
There will be a reckoning. I will dance on your corpse.
All right, we're up against it. Where are we going? JB.

Speaker 7 (01:44:50):
Johnson?

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
All right, Ben Johnson? Is it any coincidence that then

Justice me something different to a lot of different people,
whether it's settlement a verdict, justice is always worth a fight.
So you know what you do, You go get a
bier a guy that's been fighting for a long time

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
