Yes, NFL Week one already started, all right, I mean
obviously we're all waiting for the Lions four o'clock, well
five on Sunday. You know, we got your ver all
day here on Woodwork Sports. But Eagles Cowboys got it
kicked off last night. The cowboy. You don't spit on
(03:08):
a man. I'm sorry you don't. You don't listen. You
don't spit on a man. That's that. No, I don't
care what's going on that. That's number one, you don't
do it. Number two, pardon like you fucked your team man,
like they need you on the field. You could respond
(03:29):
without getting kicked out of the game. You can respond
by not kicking on It is spitting on another man
like there shouldn't be a debate about that, right, Just.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
A little bit of a debate, Just a little bit debate,
just a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
This is that? All right, I'm ready for this.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
We'll get into it.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
It's not that fake debate ship. Okay, we we don't
do that.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
I did.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
It's nice to notice, right, I look maybe too much younger.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Man, look at your young buck.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Let's not go that far, all right? What is up?
Glad you could join us? Lions packer? How about Michah
Parsons throwing a little salt on things? Right?
Speaker 7 (04:14):
Like it?
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:14):
You knew he was a little bit. You knew he
was coming with that trick.
Speaker 8 (04:18):
Please, you can't beat his far and square.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
We beat you by five touchdowns.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Man, right, I don't give a fuck if it's a trick,
play a made up play. Stop it?
Speaker 4 (04:28):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Stop it?
Speaker 9 (04:30):
Bro?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
All right?
Speaker 4 (04:32):
So here's the big question, and if you're up early
with us, this question goes to all of you as well. Okay,
did you stay up after the rain delay or lightning
delay as it were, Why you're in?
Speaker 10 (04:45):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Absolutely I did, kg you did, But I was lucky.
Speaker 11 (04:48):
I was coming off of my second job and I
didn't get home until halftime. So it kind of sucked
because I got two half times essentially, but I stayed
away through through the whole thing, went back and watch
to beginning of the game as well. What I mean,
the NFL is cinema. You got everything that you can
ask for in that first game. You got a lot
of points, you got players ejected, players spit on. I
(05:10):
mean it was you got a fucking weather delay. I mean,
the NFL is king once again, pure Cocaina. Man, put
that shit in my van KG.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Honest to God, what you just said. I swear to God,
this is what I like. You said it better than
I can. It is. It is a soap opera. Now, yeah,
the National Football League is a soap opera absolutely, And
like last night before, the delay is exactly what the
NFL wants. And you need to get it through your
head and you'll be all the better for it.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Okay, that delay was a play for ratings. I'm almost convinced.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Listen, they want the drama. They want defense to be optional,
they want teams to go up and down the field.
That is what the league wants. I'm sorry, I've said
it for years. I'm never gonna back down for it.
They they've changed rules to elevate the offenses in the
National Football changed the kicking football what like, honestly, god,
(06:03):
what else do you need? That? That is what they want.
And it was great cinema watching those two teams go
up and down the field. And we don't punters, we
don't need no damn punters. Dudes. I'm gonna say it again,
dudes hitting fifty eight yarders, fifty three yarders. That ship
we didn't see before. Man et right, it's not listen,
(06:25):
it's not that long ago when we would ooh and
uh oh wow Prater ran out there and nailed the
fifty yarder. It's nothing now, it's insane. Last night was
exactly what the National Football League wants. You got it,
Get it through your head. They they want the pretty offenses,
the sleek offenses running up and down the field. Ceedee
(06:48):
lamb just dropped undo their pass by the way, three
huge drops.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
You forgot how to catch the football for a quarter,
huge dropsy. Good first quarter though, Oh yeah, that's a
great arst quarter.
Speaker 9 (07:00):
No.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
I wrote you, guys, I sent you to Rundown and
I said good night, because let me tell you something
as a guy that coached softball, girls softball, and we
would have weather delays. We got kids. It's kids. But
let me ask you, sorry, if I'm an old man,
you are the sixties, the seventies, the eighties, the nineties.
(07:21):
I don't remember ever having a game delayed for a weather.
I mean that, I don't ever remember a game being
delayed for weather. And now it's commonplace.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Didn't the Dolphins? Didn't the Dolphins mix in one.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Or two a year. You would think, right, I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
They kept saying, I don't remember that. I just I
just I think it's you know, I think it's crap
that that they halted the game. You're making seventy five
thousand people get out of their seats and go in
the concourse. Do you know how? You know what that
it feels like seventy five thousand people all together in
(08:02):
a concourse. If I'm sitting out there, I'm not getting
out until the usher comes and grabs me and pulls
me out. I'm staying in there. I'm sorry, get.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Struck by lighting.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
The preacher and caddy shack right, I don't care.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I don't pay for these tickets.
Speaker 11 (08:24):
No, come on, man, here, you're grown ass man, Benjamin
Franklin over here, play the damn game.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
I'm sorry, struck by lightning for football?
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Right right, I've discovered electricity. Every hair straight up in
the air, all.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Five of them. I'll take my chances. I'll take my chance.
Base that's all the story up.
Speaker 12 (08:52):
Oh hell no, no I didn't.
Speaker 13 (08:55):
I tried as well too, but like it got to
the point like an hour, like, no, I'm not waiting
up for this, like it's o Rolcaster replay.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
My boy and I turned on the Astros Yankees game
and we were watching that trying to pass the time,
and then I looked at him. I don't even remember,
maybe a couple of minutes before eleven, I was like,
I'm not doing this. Yeah, I can't make it another
half hour. And then it's funny. I mean, KG, you
stayed up and watched it. Then when they came back,
(09:24):
it was everything that the NFL doesn't want, right. Nothing
happened right.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Nothing at all. Just the defenses decided they wanted to
play after that.
Speaker 11 (09:32):
So you got some good defense toward the end of
the game, primarily by the Eagles and Dak I mean
give him credit, bro. The last couple throws he had
I mean it wasn't the best, but before that he
was putting a lot of passes on the money and
ceedee Lamb just let him down.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Like essentially that shit was crazy. He just forgot how
to catch the football for the fourth quarter.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
All right, let's get into the Jalen Carter than because
we got a lot of lying stuff to do. Don't forget.
We got Dan Miller coming up at about nine to
fifteen today, you know, before they have to take off
to Lambeau and and as manch listen, Michaeh Parsons, he
through some seasoning on this. Thanks, thank you for your contribution.
You're now part of it.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Seriously, welcome, Welcome to the NFL. Welcome, Welcome to the North.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Bring it. I think it's fantastic. All right, Jalen Carter,
do you want to hear what he had to say?
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Absolutely, let's hear what Jalen Carter had to say.
Speaker 12 (10:26):
Hey, Jayleen, could you explain what happened from the vantage point?
Speaker 14 (10:31):
You know, it was a mistake that happened on my side.
I said, it just won't happen again.
Speaker 15 (10:36):
So I feel bad for just my teammates and the
fans out there, you know, I'm doing it for them,
you know, I'm doing for my family also.
Speaker 14 (10:42):
But the fans, you know, they show the most love.
You heard them after the day. Is not being able
to finish and start the game, he fenn at the
games just fuck me up.
Speaker 6 (10:51):
But don't get it better.
Speaker 14 (10:52):
It won't happen again.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Give him a little bit of a doesn't put it
play to show that Dac may have we've done something. First,
do you feel like.
Speaker 15 (11:03):
I don't try to do nothing the ordinary, you know,
anything that provoked, but you know, if it's not revolved.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
That Okay, I'm a huge fan. Listen, I'm a huge
fan of accountability.
Speaker 14 (11:21):
I am.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
I'm a huge I'm a huge fan of accountability. Okay,
I'll give a ship. If somebody provoked you, I'll get
a ship. What they did. Okay. One, you don't spit
on another man.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
Sorry, don't work that way period.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
I mean that just disrespect them. Sorry. Two, you don't
get kicked out of the game. It's game one, you're
the super Bowl champions. You're at home. I don't know how, like,
with all due respect, how do you justify that both
those things you can't like like you can be provoked
and react without spitting and without getting kicked out of game,
(12:00):
like how that helped your team?
Speaker 11 (12:03):
House it didn't, and Seann not, I give you. I'm
not saying this right, all right, I just want to
lead with that. I'm not saying it is right. But
when they got that replay and they showed Dak Prescott
spinning on the ground where he was standing, I can't
understand the human.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Emotion part of him doing that. Now, of course there's
ways you can get it back. He could have got
it back on the field.
Speaker 11 (12:25):
Of course you're not helping the team, But if there
was any game to get kicked out of, it's probably
the first game of the year when you're raising the
fucking banner as the Super Bowl champion. I do understand
he should not have done it. Once again, be emitedly,
he should not have done it. But as a human,
as a man, somebody spit on the ground where I'm standing,
(12:46):
I know what the fuck that means.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
I'm sorry, point blank, period.
Speaker 11 (12:49):
So Dak got what he got, so shack once again,
he could have got it back on the field. He
didn't make the right decision for his team. I'm just
talking to the human, and I'm not I'm not hating
you for that because you know you well, you know
what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
You're owning what happened, and you're saying he should have
done something else. I'm not gonna hate you for.
Speaker 11 (13:08):
That, but that started the whole ship. When you spit
on the ground in a man's direction, we all.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
Know what the that means.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
So you know what I do.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
Like honestly, at that moment like that, that's that's where
you kind of look at him and like that that
movie The Patriot, remember crazy mel Gibson when he looks
at the British officer and he goes soon like that,
I want, I want nothing to do with that, you
crazy person. That's like like literally that's and and and
(13:38):
and just when you when you hammer him, you lay
on top of him and go you my crazy eyes
and everything.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Right, he's the new ind Sue.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
He's got that sue, he's got that suits.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Unlike in domakan sue, he owned it. I mean, you
can't lie again in Domokin, But I mean that was
I mean again, there was a twenty four hour span
that afternoon where I think the collective fan base and
media kind of lost their mind and we're trying to
stick up for the indefensible that afternoon, like we all
(14:15):
can we say now we all know what happened. He
stopped that man. That like, period, end of story. That
was the intent. That's what happened. No, that wasn't it
right right, we all saw it, right, we all know
what happened. Sometimes you let the fandom take over. That's
all that.
Speaker 11 (14:32):
Well, even with the Sue thing, that was a my
man was holding his leg, but that was in the
context of play.
Speaker 8 (14:38):
We're talking about two people that were in a huddle.
He walks toward the huddle and Jalen Carner should shouldn't
have walked toward the huddle.
Speaker 11 (14:44):
But when that spits on the ground at his feet,
I can't understand why he would spit back at him.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
I'll say this. He was interviewed by all the teams
because he's one of one of the best players in
that draft, and the Lions did not take him, and
we all bitched that they didn't take him. Why could
you not take this guy? How could you not take
this guy? Maybe it's part of his character, Maybe they
sniffed it out. I don't think anyone on the Lions
would have would do what he did because they get
(15:13):
a certain type of player. This is a guy that
left the scene of an accident, and this is a
guy that did what he did last night. I'm not
saying he's a bad dude. I'm saying he made some
bad decisions. So when I say in the text last
night in the Woodward chat and I say, hey, this
is why the Lions didn't take him, and then Brailyn
tells me shut up, mass you know you love him,
(15:34):
I'm just saying an interview is worth something. When you
talking to somebody, you feel you see what kind of
person they are, you see what they have, you see
what they lack, and maybe he lacks good judgment.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
When the whole the whole thing comes down to this,
for me, you aren't helping your team when you get
kicked out of it.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
He didn't end.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
That's it. I can listen. I have nobody. Guys, you're
gonna act out. This is kg what you said. There's validity.
This is an emotional game. It's a human element. Okay,
but you can't get kicked out of the game.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (16:13):
But if I'm today, if I'm Nick Sirianni, I'm not
like I'm not furious at Jalen Carter.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
Did I like it?
Speaker 11 (16:20):
No, you could have avoided it. You could have just
got it back on the field. But I'm not like,
I'm not gonna hold him to the fire like I
get it, Like.
Speaker 13 (16:28):
You know, That's all I'm saying, Especially if he goes
back and actually hears his side of what he was
seeing on the field. You can see they got videos,
I know, but obviously they're gonna sit here and just
you know, favor Deck as much as they can, just
because like they don't care for defensive players like that,
especially Jalen Carter after everything that he's been through. But
if he can go back in the locker room and
explain to the coach like, hey, look, you weren't on
(16:49):
the field, this is what happened to me. This is
what he got in my face he spit next towards me,
then yeah, then you can fully see that. All right,
you are completely to blame for that. But yes, then
you need to control.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
Your I think in that in that regard, then I
would talk to him like he was like my five
year old kid, and I would look at him and go,
maybe you should spit on the ground towards him and
not spit at him, or maybe you should just smile,
get that, get that crazy. Mel Gibson look soon right
to do that, you know, and then Dak poos himself,
(17:22):
you know, I mean at that point in time, but whatever,
you know, what can I say this though I didn't
think Dallas looked bad, I did.
Speaker 8 (17:31):
I didn't evisively they could have used Michael Parsons out here, say.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
There was no pass rush that first at all, nothing
at all.
Speaker 8 (17:41):
It took him what three quarters to get one side.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
The thing that jumped out to me, like when I
was watching the because like you, I had another job
and it was cool. I got back before halftime. So
what I do at halftime? And I don't need to
watch that ship? So like I I watch a game
and it was all the times Jalen Hurts took off
running he wasn't even.
Speaker 16 (18:02):
Touching why he wasn't even touched us? That that that's
the stuff that like that that should scare the crash.
I mean, we knew it was gonna happen anyway when
you take Michael Parsons off the team, But that should
scare the hell out of you. You let Jalen Hurts
or anybody in this National Football League run amuck.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
You're gonna pay well, except maybe Jared Goff.
Speaker 5 (18:25):
Yeah, they're gonna have a lot of problems in terms
of past rush. I think that's pretty obvious when you
get rid of such a good player like Michael Parsons.
But hey, that's all. That's Jerry.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Yeah, that's Jerry at work man another one tonight, Chiefs
and Chargers from Brazil.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Gotta love a divisional game in Brazil. Gotta love it.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
You know you're watching. It's Mahomes, Mahomes. I'm sorry they're
still there, Musty TV. Still the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Absolutely.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
I know a lot of people think that they might
be on their initial descent, But it's Mahomes. You're gonna
watch tright.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
That's that's on top until proven otherwise.
Speaker 11 (19:03):
No, that's but this is a big division game though
a lot of people, including Neil shout out to him,
are thinking the Chargers are gonna win that division this year.
So this is a big game out the gate, and
you just wonder what this new look Chargers team looks like.
They went out and got more receivers, they got some
rushing help. O Mario and Hampton on my fantasy team.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Shout out to him. It's gonna be an interesting year
for the Chargers, but the Chiefs still ranked supreme until
further up down. Don't forget that's a big loss for them.
Speaker 12 (19:29):
Side question I got over here. Is this free on
YouTube or.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
On YouTube?
Speaker 6 (19:37):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (19:38):
Everyone, Yeah, they're also have it on YouTube TV.
Speaker 11 (19:41):
But for what I heard, they are actually gonna have
a live stream on YouTube for free that people just
like what were sports people can.
Speaker 8 (19:47):
Just tap in and watch.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Yes, I actually heard a commercial for it, like one
of those NFL commercials, and then you know, they did
the whole Oh you sound like you're at the fifty
yard light and you could do the sunb you know.
You know, I don't understand this. I don't like I
get Europe because I'm still one of those people. I'm
(20:10):
convinced they're gonna put a football team over there. I'm convinced.
I'm surprised it's taken this long. Okay, but I don't
ever see the NFL moving down to Brazil. I know, No,
it's absolutely too much trouble. All right, Lions, that's what
we're going next. All right, We're going to the Lions.
I'm gonna try to make JB's life easier today and
(20:34):
try to stay on time. I'm not gonna spit at
him on the ground. You and your breaks, all right,
but that's it.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
On the ground and.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Come back.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Last I saw hot memes all over the.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Jalen brought her back to life.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Yeah, unfortunately, listen, appreciate you guys in the chat. We
try to get into as many chat comments as possible.
Obviously super chat. We're gonna put you to the front
of the line. JP, where we going.
Speaker 12 (21:13):
I got a bunch of supertests.
Speaker 13 (21:15):
I actually got to clear her up right now, so
shout out to everyone sitting them and then we'll get
to mad packs over here. Five dollars from Jordan lionehard
before the show even started. Season ending injury on kickoff
players get ejected before the first nap Emmitt whether CD
lost his arms when.
Speaker 12 (21:30):
They could have won.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
NFL is officially backy oh, yes, yes, it is soap
opera for sports fans. It is, and that not just men,
because I think we know how many females and females
in our lives that like are way into it right now.
The NFL has become soap opera for sports fans. That's it.
Speaker 13 (21:49):
Uh, this one's a little bit brutal, but I'm gonna
read it anyway because you send your money to us,
so I have to.
Speaker 12 (21:56):
Blake before he spits. Dak says your friend Die.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
I'm just saying this is rough. I'm a man at
the end of the day. Man, I get it.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
I ain't saying it's right, yea, I ain't gota like
it yet. I'm just saying it's right.
Speaker 12 (22:10):
Yeah, that's a little rough.
Speaker 13 (22:12):
Another five hours from Jordan Lionheart, when he walked off
the field smiling and laughing after getting ejected, tells you
the type of dude Jalen Carter truly is.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
You can't do it man, Like, honestly, you can't get you.
You you fucked your team. That's it, Like you know,
and and and if anything, you're given all You're given
the power back to all the people out there that
think that you're a troubled mess.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
That's what it really is, because I mean, they ended
up getting a dub anyway.
Speaker 11 (22:38):
But to your point, it doesn't add to his aurror
or his lure to say so yeah sucks.
Speaker 12 (22:45):
That does suck.
Speaker 13 (22:47):
One from Ryan's reaction for you. Mass said they're millionaires playing,
not plumbers.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
I'm not sure they roll around in the bowling shirt.
Mass is a man of his work.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Yeah, yeah, right now, hey, play through the weather. You're
not little girls.
Speaker 12 (23:08):
And finally, uh nine ninety nine from Dante one five
to one. He said A. J.
Speaker 13 (23:13):
Brown was real, was real threat with that one catch
for eight yards last night. But I thought the Eagles
wide receiver dual was better than the Lion's wide receiver dual. Oh,
I ain't going that far.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
I can't wait till AJ Brown and Jalen Hurt starting
not talk to each other again. They didn't. They didn't
even target him in the first half. He was invisible.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
People don't really think that, right, Like, I'll take our
two over there too every day.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Yeah, will absolutely, And if.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
I sound like a Homer, sho'll beat, I'll take our
two over there.
Speaker 11 (23:43):
There's an argument to be made, but I would take
ours as well, Like you can make the argument though.
Speaker 12 (23:50):
All right, KG, let's see the mad pack.
Speaker 11 (23:52):
Let's tell the people about mad pass because if you
spit at my feet, you must be smoking mad pack
if you think I'm not gonna do nothing to you.
But what Mad Packs is the hottest new cannabis brand

we were talking about this last night, all right, so
fuel of us are gonna actually be home at the
same time for the Lions game. I was like, what
do you want? And in unison, my wife and son said, Buddies.
Speaker 5 (26:46):

get an extra ten percent off your meal only at

Game Day Sunday. We got you covered at Woodwardsports dot com.
(27:53):
Just a reminder, Dan Miller is gonna be joining us
at about nine to fifteen before he and the Lions
make that track over to Green Bay, wisconsint Uh, the
number hasn't changed, right, it's still two and a half.
Two and a half.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
Believe you've sent the number.
Speaker 12 (28:11):
I can double shit.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
Yeah, we canet check and make sure.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
All right, stay on top of that. I think the
Lions went outright. I'm not being a slack. I think
the Lions went monthly. But right, yeah, come on, you
want to give me some points, so I'll take your points.
Speaker 12 (28:25):
Yeah, going down just slightly minus one and a half.
Speaker 9 (28:28):
Damn, I should have got on it.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
But it's cool. That's all right, It's cool.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
You see the home team is a three point favorite automatically. Yeah,
so the Lions, and this is a pick them game.
That's basically what it is.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
It's a game, all right. So Micah Parsons, not that
this not that this needed any more seasoning, Okay, I
think we've talked about it the last few weeks. I
think we agree the Packers are the biggest threat in
this division. The Vikings were this last year. Could you
aren't you cute? You're adorable?
Speaker 12 (29:02):
All right?
Speaker 4 (29:02):
I think the Packers are the biggest threat in this
division this year. So that already comes with the built
in premise that so many people in this fan base
hate the Packers more than anybody in this division. Me.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
I hate the Bears.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Fuck the Bears, but yeah, I've got a lot of
hatred leftover for the other ones as well, including the Packers.
And I remember some of those rip your heart out
moments going way back as well. Not that this needed
any more seasoning, but JB. Michael Parsons threw some more
seasoning on it.
Speaker 18 (29:37):
Honestly, bro, I felt like Dallas and Detroit already had
a rivalry.
Speaker 14 (29:40):
I already got that robbery.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Go de Bro.
Speaker 18 (29:43):
I'm excited to play the you know, we don't. I
never liked Detroit. I never liked him even when I
was in Dallas. It's just as it was just always
a heavyweight fight every time they came in, or you know,
and they kind of got our guys when I was
injured last year or the whole team was injured, and so,
(30:04):
you know, I just think it's a funny way how
things work.
Speaker 5 (30:06):
I'm excited to play.
Speaker 18 (30:07):
I know they're excited, and uh, it's going to be
it's going to go all twelve to fifteen rounds.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
You know, I'm glad that you brought up heavyweight fight
because to me, a forty seven to nine game, it's
kind of like the ninety one seconds it took Mike
Tyson to dispatch of Michael spink kome right, heavyweight fight,
heavyweight fight what well.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Two years ago it was Yeah, when they stole the
game on that Saturday night.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
Yeah, that was a damn good game.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
I was on James Mitch, I'm not catching the.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Ball for forty seven to nine though, I mean, that
was absolutely non competitive.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Last year, and that's when our best player was out
for half the game. Had Hutchinson been in there, it
might have been worse.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
You know what, I don't care about shit like that.
Speaker 19 (30:56):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
He actually he actually kind of cleaned it up.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Like that, but I don't. I mean, whatever, if it
helps motivate anybody, I I kind of find it funny though,
if you follow along how the story has been. Remember
a couple of years ago, his dad was saying we'd
never want to go to Detroit and everything, and then
he changed his tune last year and well, we'd love
to go to Detroit.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
You know, he wanted to go to Philly. He really
wanted to go.
Speaker 4 (31:27):
Yeah, there's there's no way. Jara's not that dumb. I'm
gonna trade this guy to Philly and have to face
him twice a year giants.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
No, yeah, you can go to Philly. No way.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
I want nothing to do with that. Calvin Shepherd listen,
I'm gonna say it again. It is the most overblown
thing the new coordinators. I'm sorry, I'm gonna keep saying it.
I've said it for months. I'm going to keep saying it. Okay,
both things can be true. I can respect what ag.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
And he whose name I dare not mention, blowjob.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
I can respect what they did here, but they're not
here anymore. Okay, you know what is here? A damn
good defense, a damn good offense. I'm gonna focus on that.
Calvin Sheppard talking about the family aspect.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
Of things, and it's a family. We're not friends, I
tell them, we're not friends here. We're family. You're gonna
go through things together and we're still gonna be family.
After friends, you kind of separat and that is what
it is. We're a family here and that's what you're
gonna see displayed on the field is a family out
there fighting together, down in and down there.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Every second of it. And you, guys, we're all guilty
of this. And I think we here in the morning
the past couple of weeks have tried to rectify even
amongst ourselves, we're all guilty of liking shiny things.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
Okay, of course.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
Oh look at our offense. Ooh look at Tesla already
added to that Lamborghini that we have in jail, already
added to that Porsche that we have in aman Ross
Saint Brown. Oh look at our classic collection in the backfield.
We got a freaking tank back there who runs angry,
and we have Jamior Gibbs. Honest to god, it hit
(33:15):
me a couple of weeks ago. I honestly feel this.
I've said this almost every day. We're all forgetting how
good this defense was last year. Mass Yeah, we're all
forgetting how good this defense was before the injury started
to take their toll. Okay, and really you could say
patient zero sadly was Hutch and then it just seemed
like every week you lost another really good player, broken arm, tweak,
(33:40):
whatever the case makes.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
We scored top seven scoring defense. It's top seven, right.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
Uh, there's a lot of depth on that defense. And
don't take my word for it. Listen to Kelvin.
Speaker 7 (33:51):
Shepard, and that's the credit to our front office. The
depth did they do because now kind of that player,
we know we have Malcolm out for the first couple
of weeks here, but now a player that's been plugging
play kind of in that fourth LB spot has been
Zach Cunningham.
Speaker 6 (34:05):
To me, this is a starter in this league.
Speaker 7 (34:07):
I have no idea what he did before he got
here or why he wasn't starting or playing credible snaps
the last two years. But this player, what he's shown
on our field, he's a starting caliber linebacker in this league.
And again, credit to our front office, and it's not
trying to force these guys in the game. If we
see in the game playing there's a role for you,
(34:28):
we'll plug and play you in that role. But we'll
never force anybody on the field. It's just a credit
that we're able to have that type of debt going
into the season, knowing what we endured last year as
far as injuries are concerned, having those depth pieces there
to where you're not changing your game plan. The game
plan could stayed the course, and these guys plug and
play in those different spots.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
That we have them in.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
Again, deal, you aren't insinuating that players make plays in
Phil Rowles right, what you can be Deal, no way.
All I've heard is how important these coordinators are and
everything's gonna fall apart.
Speaker 8 (35:08):
Because they're gone.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
They weren't gonna be back to seven wins.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
They're gonna be over while it lasted.
Speaker 11 (35:20):
Damn we gotta throwbody stop put the coordinator ship.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Yeah that is.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Peter Schrager is on it now. He has us out
of the playoffs because of the coordinators.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Don't get me started out.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
He's got the coordinators again.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
You know how sometimes there's a guy you know, no,
but sometimes there's a guy in the sports media that like,
you watch him and you're like, I don't get it.
That's Peter Schrager for me.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
I don't think he's bad.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
There's nothing there, dude, I'm not. I'm not saying he's bad.
I'm not saying he's good. There's, in my opinion, no offense.
If you like the guy, liked the guy.
Speaker 11 (35:59):
To me, there's nothing They though he's been moused, he's
been Mickey Mouse now the NFL network he was great.
Speaker 10 (36:04):
But now.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
There's simvlidity to that.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
I get what is up with him lately? Well, he's
been tripping, man, because mister backet end Zone been tripping.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
I am so serious when I say this. I I've
always been a fan. People in this business don't like
to fact John. They don't. It's easier to just spew something.
It just just spew something. Everybody, Everything will be okay.
Philly lost a coordinator, then lost another coordinator, and then
bounce back and won the Super Bowl. The the the
gosh damn Netflix show that everybody watched. That's a big
(36:40):
part of the story. Oh no, what will the Dallas
Cowboys do without Norv Turner? Oh no, what will they
do without Dave Wanstet It's all over like I'm sorry,
and again, I can't stress this enough. Both things can
be true. I am not going to minimize the job
that AG did here. I'm not gonna do it. And AG,
(37:03):
to be honest with you, I think we were all
late to the party. Yeah, a little bit recognizing how
great he knew I was, and I knew it was
gonna take time. But he was never a bad defensive coordinator.
He just didn't do what people necessarily wanted him to do.
But he had to deal with the shit that he had.
He was trying to make, you know, lemonade out of
shit pretty much, so it took him a while. He
(37:25):
eventually got there, but at his peak he ended up
going to a different team. So I think Kelvin Shepherd
can really take this thing to a whole new level.
And of course he's gonna benefit from people being healthy.
I think that's just standard.
Speaker 11 (37:38):
But with some of the scheming that he's gonna do,
because this is still a man defense, they're still gonna
blitz a lot. I think he's gonna change things here
and there to make this defense just that much better. Oh,
real quick, before you go, can I just highlight this
real quick? Edward Krunsky don't know why people say KG
looks like Kelvin Shephard. Kelvin Shepard makes KG look light skinned.
(37:58):
Thank you, Edward, you win broke you in. I've been
saying that for years.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Can I listen? Can I? Can I now get to
Do you know what the secret sawser Ben Johnson was?
Don't tell anybody? Okay? Do you know what the secrets
that you guys know.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
What the secrets.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Players?
Speaker 5 (38:13):
Players?
Speaker 4 (38:14):
And you know what Ben Johnson did? You're never gonna
believe this. He put players in positions that benefited them.
He didn't ask them to be something that they worked.
He did not ask them to try to be Jalen
Hurts if they weren't Jalen Hurts. He did not ask
(38:38):
them to be Drew Brees see offensive coordinator Lombardi when
they're not Drew Brees. He put players in positions that
highlighted their strengths. If I had my hat, I would
throw it again there. I pretended like guy threw it
(39:03):
like like you guys, the players are still here and
if you paid attention, Ben Johnson used them accordingly, not
the smartest guy in the room. Shit, okay, because a
lot of these guys are convinced Ego's huge. Okay, it
just is a lot of these guys are convinced that
they reinvented football and oh no, no, no, no, this
(39:25):
worked for me here, so it's gonna work for me there. Well, no,
not necessarily because you have different personnel.
Speaker 5 (39:34):
Sorry, invisible Peter Schrager, Jesus Pete.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
Listen, obviously we talked about it yesterday. The guy with
the biggest circle around him is Hunch. We all know it.
I think we're all gonna, whether we want to admit
it or not, the first time he blows off the line,
we're all just gonna let out a collective sigh of relief. Right, Yeah, Okay,
he's back, he's healthy. That's the guy that we met.
Speaker 5 (40:00):
But two sacks, Loan and then the packer.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Amen, I need that he's right on your shoulder there.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
Yeah, I'm trying to kill you.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
The rookies. Look, we're gonna have the circle around uh
Tate on the offensive line We've already had the circle
around white Boy summer. Right now, everybody's gonna to see
how Tyler Listen. I I think he's gonna have a
huge impact on this team. We're all gonna be watching him.
(40:35):
Here's Calvin Sheppard on Tyle.
Speaker 7 (40:37):
I'm expecting to see a violent, physical big man striking
knock people back. We know it's playmaking ability, but I
just keep reminding him. D tackles don't necessarily make plays
that show up on the stat sheet, and you have
to remind him of that because he was a dominant
player at Ohio State and he's used to racking up
(40:57):
stats on the stat sheet. Just Understan then and what
we need from him, and that's to be who he
is within our system and what we're asking him to do.
Speaker 9 (41:06):
But first and foremost, if you play on our defensive.
Speaker 7 (41:08):
Line, we expect you to knock people back violently, be
able to sit down against double teams, holding their thick
and firm, and he showed that all camp. I'm very
excited for that player and to see him out there
in Lamba the.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
DJ reader together, I think it's gonna be pretty damn good.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
But did you hear that that that's audio porn to me.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
Violent.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
I expect a violent, physical man.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Like Sean really let out a scream. Y'all, y'all, ain't
hear it at all?
Speaker 4 (41:37):
Not act like if that doesn't excite you, I want it.
I want the violence. I want the anger. By the way,
while i'm at it, David Montgomery, boo, you're done, Yeah,
you're right, Yeah, disrespect, you're terrible. Boo boo boo. That's
why I want guys to run angry. I want this
is going to be an angry team this year. They
know how close they were last year, even with the
(42:00):
plethora of injuries. They know how close they were last year.
Don't think for a second these guys don't hear what
people are saying. The biggest misnomer in this business. Okay,
I don't pay attention to that shit. I call bullshit
on every one of y'all. Okay, when I hear guys
say that, I know that's a guy that's listening more
than the average bear. Now, you might have JB over
(42:22):
there who goes about his day, right, and he's gonna
hear this, that and the other thing, but he's not
really paying attention. But when Maz tells me, I don't
listen to that stuff. I know you listen more than
the average person does. Shout up to John Joseph Harrington
while we're at it. That's reality. These guys do.
Speaker 19 (42:41):
Hear this.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
He admitted it too, and of course he trust me.
Speaker 20 (42:45):
He didn't have to.
Speaker 4 (42:48):
The dirty looks that I got from the guy told
me all I needed to know personally.
Speaker 3 (42:53):
But did you drop the chocolate covered strawberry bit on him?
Speaker 21 (42:56):
No?
Speaker 4 (42:56):
I never, you know what on him.
Speaker 5 (42:58):
The only thing I get, doya, this is.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Joey Blues guys.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
Yeah, no, he was.
Speaker 4 (43:02):
He was Joey blueskuys. And it was like the one
game I forget which game it was, when Troy Aikman
was calling it, and like his quote was, you know,
a local guy on the radio called them Joey Blues guys,
and people are calling them Joey Blues guys. And I'm
sitting there at home laughing. So I knew the next
time I saw him, I get a dirty look. But
Joey doesn't listen, He doesn't hear any of that stuff. Like,
(43:23):
stop it. It just got to be too much, all right,
don't say we don't give you what you want. You
want White Boy Summer all the time. You want it
extended well into September and October and November. We give
you what you want. Here on Woodwork Sports. Here's John
Morton on Isaac Tesla.
Speaker 22 (43:44):
Yeah, I mean I think Tesla did a great job
in training camp here in practice and he made plays.
I mean, he got better every single day carried over
to the game and we thought he did an unbelievable job.
He's a smart kid, he's tough. There's some good things
that he can do that's gonna help was this year.
So you know that he took advantage of the opportunity.
When you know when Tim was out, you know Tim
(44:06):
will be missed. I was around Tim and Demmer. I
love the I love him, an unbelievable teammate and I
wish him the best.
Speaker 4 (44:14):
Did you hear John Morton? He was thinking of KG
right there.
Speaker 5 (44:16):
Oh yeah, the South will rise again.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
You got a right we come back, fella right.
Speaker 12 (44:33):
Back?
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Man.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
Goddamn all jokes is.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
I'm really intrigued to see how this guy fits in.
I am he's gonna be there because I know some people,
some people have already put out some crazy numbers. I
had a guy tell me the other day, I'm not joking.
Eight hundred yards and eight touchdowns? And I said, well,
how many quarterbacks are there? How many balls are going around?
Speaker 19 (44:57):
Right?
Speaker 4 (44:57):
I mean.
Speaker 5 (44:59):
Some to get injured?
Speaker 7 (45:00):
Right.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
I don't know how he's gonna fit in. I don't.
I mean, and again, you got Sam Laporta, you got Jamo,
you got Aman Raw, you got the two backs. Is
Jared Goff gonna throw for six thousand and fifty touchdowns?
I'm hoping he done?
Speaker 3 (45:16):
What were Tim Patrick's numbers last year?
Speaker 5 (45:19):
Roughly?
Speaker 3 (45:19):
The thing?
Speaker 5 (45:20):
I have to look him up?
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Let me yet, look look at it. It wasn't No,
it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
Well he'll do at least that he'll do at least
with Tim Patrick. Did you do it?
Speaker 5 (45:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (45:30):
I have a feeling Sam Laporta is more a part
of things this year than he was last year.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
I think Tesla could be a touchdown guy.
Speaker 4 (45:37):
I do like one of those four hundred yards receiving
but eight touchdown type of things.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Possibly.
Speaker 5 (45:43):
All right, So Tim Patrick with the Lions thirty three
recept chance, three hundred and ninety four yards and three
touchdowns and he played sixteen games.
Speaker 4 (45:53):
He can do that.
Speaker 5 (45:54):
Yeah, he can absolutely.
Speaker 11 (45:55):
I'm howood bordered maybe five and I would do five
hundred and five. I think that's a safe sounds about right.
Speaker 9 (46:02):
Mark.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
Just just you guys, temper the expectations. I'm excited about
the guy. I'm not. This is no way, shape or
formed disrespect towards him. It's talking about the plethora of
talent that we have here. Absolutely, I know we're all
excited and there's the local angle, and gosh, he just
seems like such a good dude. I haven't talked to
him or anything like that. He just seems like such
(46:24):
a good dude. But we need to we need to
look at that here. Jesus pe.
Speaker 7 (46:30):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
It almost looks like I got a mola. Now I
can do the mel Gibson even better soon with the
crazy ass eyes.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
You're gonna cue up the music, not.
Speaker 4 (46:43):
Heat miser All right, one more Jamo talking up with
another guy that I know people are gonna be looking
at Terry and Arnold.
Speaker 23 (46:53):
You know, I think he's got a lot more patience
than him. I think he's just you know, Terry is aggressive.
His mindset is aggressive, and I think he just understands
the game. Now, you know, it comes quicker for some
guys and to do other guys. But you know, I
just think he's understanding the game and I think his
mindset no him't want nobody to beat him. So that's
(47:13):
that's just a lot that that takes you a long way,
you know, playing in this type of game, because you
know it's good players.
Speaker 14 (47:20):
You're playing again, so on the other side of the ball,
and you know, you just want to win.
Speaker 23 (47:24):
And that's why that's why I think his head is
so it's been that since I've been in school with him.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
You know, he's just a winner.
Speaker 14 (47:29):
You want to win.
Speaker 23 (47:30):
And I think that's a big part about him and
his growth. You know, going on the field, you know,
going against me and Saint Brown. Saint Brown's all pro,
seeing a lot of things.
Speaker 14 (47:38):
That he's doing.
Speaker 23 (47:39):
And then come and guard me, guarding the other guys
like Khalif, Raymond Tesla, everybody, you know, just helping him
in practice.
Speaker 5 (47:45):
When we get to the game, it could be easy.
Speaker 4 (47:49):
You know, there's a common theme here. There's a lot
of guys heading into this season with a chip on
their shoulder.
Speaker 5 (47:53):
Yeah, as they should. The last year should not be
acceptable to anybody in the payback Terry and.
Speaker 4 (48:00):
You're a bust. You're another first round bus boom boom boom,
I'm all year. Boo, you'll never make it in this year,
this league. Boom teas table or boo your teas table
or two point o boo. Yeah, hey dude, use it
as fuel. JB. You want to break here? We have
Miller coming up at nine point fifteen. We're gonna do
the the stupid and useless exercise of the schedule game
(48:22):
coming up in a minute.
Speaker 5 (48:23):
Oh yeah, I'm loving it.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Loving Maybe Dallas already disproved the schedule game. A lot
of people thought five wins, six win or something. Maybe
last night they're better than we thought.
Speaker 5 (48:36):
Yeah, just the offense looked like what the offense was
gonna look like. Defensively, they're gonna have some problem.
Speaker 4 (48:42):
They're gonna have some problem.
Speaker 3 (48:43):
They're coming to Detroit.
Speaker 4 (48:44):
To me, that that that screams in eight and nineteen,
That to me, that's get that that team screams eight
and nine. All right, JB, where are we going?
Speaker 13 (48:53):
Oh we gotta double up and here from black Rock
and Sharon's keating and air. But first let me clear
up these super chats. Shout out to everyone saying the man.
On ninety nine from Francis J. Fox, he says, how
was the birthday dinner?
Speaker 14 (49:04):
Mask?
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Drew blows, that's a Drew Laane guy. It was great, Francis,
it was great. We had a great time.
Speaker 5 (49:12):
Man.
Speaker 3 (49:13):
Thanks for listening.
Speaker 13 (49:14):
Hey, we got another one from Jordan Line or he
sends it in five hours. If I see David Montgomery
put Parsons in the turf like he did with Witherspoon
last year, my.
Speaker 5 (49:23):
Pants will explode.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
I won't. I won't even have to take them off.
They're just gonna Sean, where'd your pants go? They exploded?
Speaker 5 (49:30):
They like rip away pants.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
You know, I turned into party boy right there.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Those basketball rip away pants are great. They are great.
Speaker 4 (49:43):
I need them. My pants are gonna be I say
a lot to my little friend. That's exactly That's what
I'm understand.
Speaker 8 (49:51):

There's no other way to say that, all right, So
Mask came up with this idea. Don't forget Dan Miller
joining us in about fifteen minutes. Really appreciate Dan Game
Day Live starts. I was very fortunate to be a
part of that show for eight years. Still getting it done.
He's going all day from Lambeau. So Danny, appreciate you
(54:52):
taking the time to chat with us this morning. But Mas,
I like this idea. We're gonna do a collective schedule
get instead of instead of me going through the seventeen games,
then KG going through the seventeen games, Like kg's gonna
pick the winner of game one, Mad is gonna pick
game two, JB's gonna pick Game three, I'm gonna pick
(55:15):
game four, and we're gonna go all around the room
and see where we end up with the line.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
And see if we don't fight for the record.
Speaker 4 (55:21):
For the record, let's let's let's get the win totals
out there right now, Okay, so you can hold me accountable.
I'm saying twelve and five and winning the division thirteen
and four.
Speaker 13 (55:31):
Division win, thirteen and four Division winner, thirteen and four
division winner.
Speaker 4 (55:36):
I'm the hater, Yeah, I'm the hater. Twelve. Why do
you hate the Lions because David Montgomery so bado, yeahs
bad boo and Tesla is only there because he's white boo,
all of it, all of it.
Speaker 5 (55:56):
I hie is gonna break again.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
Boom. Oh, you're all bad boo coordinators, You're all bad
rows ahead again. You're all bad all right? You ready
to do this?
Speaker 5 (56:07):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (56:07):
Go KG. You get game one, You get Game one
against the Packers.
Speaker 8 (56:14):
This will be a.
Speaker 11 (56:15):
Rousing victory for your Detroit Lions. I got a ten
point victory for him. But they will have a dub
in week one.
Speaker 4 (56:21):
Okay one?
Speaker 3 (56:23):
And oh man, I get the Bears fuck up? Will
Okay the Lions thirty one dub Bears ten When.
Speaker 4 (56:39):
When you get raving, this is a big one.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
JB.
Speaker 12 (56:47):
Yeah, you know how gonna funk this up.
Speaker 13 (56:48):
You know how I feel about Lamar Jackson, and you
know when we are not bread against Mobile quarterbacks apparently.
Speaker 12 (56:53):
So this is our first lass.
Speaker 4 (56:56):
I'm not arguing too much. I get the easy one.
Yeah yeah, thirty one to tend some crap like that.
How's that? Thirty one to ten over the Bronx. All right,
so we got them at three and one. So Bengals.
Speaker 11 (57:15):
Joe Basy, oh man, this is going to be a
shootout of epic proportions. But the Lions win by Jake Batesfield.
Go give me the Lions for victory.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Four and one, Yes, four and one. I'm with you,
I'm with it. So you just went to the jungle.
I gotta go to the Kingdom. I gotta go to
Kansas City on a Sunday night football game. Kansas City
looking for revenge from two seasons ago. But no, they
(57:48):
don't get it. Yeah, Lions twenty seven, Chefs twenty four win.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
We're going full sleptic now.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
Oh yeah, so we are.
Speaker 4 (57:58):
We're caught up in it now.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
We didn't get out of it, right, Ryan Branch with
the game winner.
Speaker 4 (58:03):
All right, so correct me if I'm wrong. We got
five and one now, ye oh my gosh.
Speaker 5 (58:08):
What the best case scenario?
Speaker 3 (58:11):
Next game is a Monday night game?
Speaker 4 (58:13):
All right? So you got Tampa. Jb.
Speaker 13 (58:16):
Hey, the Lions are gonna show out on Monday night
at home, at home, and this will in the same
way Baker did a couple of years ago as well too,
with Carby Jillson picking him off.
Speaker 12 (58:25):
So the Lions win this twenty who We're six and one.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
I love it. I love it. Look who I got.
I can just created like a little You got a.
Speaker 3 (58:37):
Bye week, and you get the bye week. Then the
Vikings you give me pinches.
Speaker 16 (58:43):
Oh cheat, Minnesota gonna play so cute, You're gonna be
oh so close, and then Jake Bates is gonna hit
another field goal.
Speaker 4 (58:50):
Damn even said your home two game winners for Jake Babs. Yeah, exactly.
So yeah, the Lions are seven and one foul.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
Seven Oh my god, every guards seven.
Speaker 4 (59:03):
All right, Jeffery Packer fan and and Viking fan and
Bear fans watching right now, going, those guys are just sleptics.
And you're not wrong, Okay, right now, you're not wrong.
We're in full sleptick. Here we go, all right, Kate
gets hard.
Speaker 11 (59:17):
I mean we got the Commanders. Man, I'm gonna be
hard not to be a slapdck. Come on, But the
Lions are out for revenge. Yeah, against our fucking commanders.
Speaker 8 (59:30):
What are we talking about? Lions Revants game? Why is
revanche game?
Speaker 3 (59:35):
Give me a w e a W right there?
Speaker 4 (59:39):
I know you gotta do the j Moright Jamison the
dumb morning show collective. We have the Lions at eight
and one now, I mean, all right, man, why mix
in some logic here? The Lions in Philly? Who you got?
Speaker 3 (59:53):
I didn't like anything I saw last night. Out of
the Eagles, They're gonna be fighting by this time, They're
gonna be fighting each other. This should have been the
NFC Championship game last year, but it's the NFC Championship
game this year. We finish off the Eagles at the
Link twenty eight twenty four Lions. Oh my gosh, give
(01:00:15):
me the w W.
Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
Eat it all right, JB? What you got drop Woods
at the Giants?
Speaker 13 (01:00:26):
You gave me an easy one right here. We're about
to eat another w as it is? Yea, By this time,
I think Cam's Cattable will be the starting running back
for the Giants. Yeah, you're gonna be looking at a
new quarterback as well too. So giving the Lions to
to beat the Giants in a blowout so we have them.
Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
At ten and one heading into thanks getting sixty. I
had this as a loss. I'm gonna keep it at
a loss. I think we go five and one against
the division. I think we beat them at Lambeau, and
I think.
Speaker 3 (01:00:53):
They get I wish I had a hat right now
to throw it hit. You lose on Thanksgiving?
Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
You guys don't think they're gonna go on beating in
the division, do you?
Speaker 22 (01:01:04):
All?
Speaker 4 (01:01:04):
Jokes aside? They might lose one if that's the one.
I've been picking for a while, so I'm gonna stick
with it. It's just weird how it came down to that.
I think we win in Lambeau. I think they get
us like they got us a couple of years ago.
I think we go five to one in the division.
The Packers go four into it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
But we'll bring him back that fan that got under
a Matt Lafleur's skin, bring him back.
Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
That doesn't give you a double, I'm not sure what does?
Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
I don't know?
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
All right? Sorry, So right now JB has them losing
to the Ravens. I have them losing to the pack
on Thanksgiving. We're ten and two heading to Dallas.
Speaker 11 (01:01:39):
Sweep KG and Dallas is coming here for the first
time in fucking oblivion. I win is the last time
the Cowboys actually came to four right, So listen here, dear,
we we gonna whip that asshole Sunday.
Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
No, Michael Possums, no problem. The Lions get the dub.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Here nice eleven and two.
Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Yes, Oh my gosh, we I mean my schedu My
record is holding up so far, Jesus pete. All right, Mas,
the Rams.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
O come on, Jered Goss return to La Listen Matthew
Stafford oz and two against the Lions. If he is
in this game and his back is not broken, the
Rams gonna get this role. Come on, Rams are gonna
get this one.
Speaker 5 (01:02:21):
Goss return.
Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Yes, so far, I got Rams twenty seven, Lions twenty four.
They're in every game they're in.
Speaker 8 (01:02:28):
Every family will be in attendance, I know.
Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
Come on, man, Yeah, they're at eleven and three now
heading into the game before fans against this steels. What's up?
Speaker 12 (01:02:41):
JB viewers come home to fourfield.
Speaker 5 (01:02:45):
You better not.
Speaker 13 (01:02:46):
I think by this time, I think the students are
probably packing it in, thinking that their playoff.
Speaker 12 (01:02:49):
Folks are done.
Speaker 11 (01:02:50):
Rudolph playing and at this point, right Aaron Rodgers ain't
making it this far.
Speaker 13 (01:02:54):
Rodgers is not making it this far. So this would
be an easy win for the Lions. Twenty one to three.
Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
All right, twelve and three. I don't know if you
guys know this. I love going up to Franken. It's
a great meal. And I'm I'm ten years old, so
I love going to Bronner's. And every year I go
to Bronners and I get like a new ornament, of course,
And for Christmas, I'm gonna get one for the Minnesota
Vikings baby's first Christmas. Oh, I'm gonna get what I
(01:03:20):
got for you, little Viking.
Speaker 5 (01:03:22):
You're gonna be so cute, that is on Christmas.
Speaker 4 (01:03:25):
Yep, we're gonna dress you up all cue, you know,
like little Lord Fountain Roy or whatever the hell game is.
Lions are gonna go to Minnesota and break your heart again. Uh,
Lions win thirty one twenty one and Vikings you aren't
making the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:03:40):
So about right there you go. Sounds about right.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
So we have thirteen and three now to the finale.
To the finale with KG. KG is the only one
who has not picked a Lion loss in this process.
By the way, for what it's worth.
Speaker 5 (01:03:54):
Listen, mah sold, listen.
Speaker 11 (01:03:58):
December or not, this is probably yeah, early January, the
Lions will be packing this one in. They're gonna rest
some starters, and the Bears might get a little flimsy
win to improve the record to five wins. Calem gets
a win because the Lions have packed it in and
they're getting ready for the playoffs. As the number two seeds,
that hits on number thirteen, So that that does that
(01:04:21):
hits the number Yeah, that that means according to us though,
four and two in the division.
Speaker 4 (01:04:25):
Four and two in the division according to US. Yeah,
I don't think it'll come down to divisional record, because
I'm gonna say it again, I don't think this division
is going to do as it did last year in
any way, shape or form. Like, you know, you had
a team win fifteen games, you had a team win
fourteen games, you had another team win eleven games. I
don't see it, man, Yeah, I don't see it.
Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
That's crazy, don't I don't see it.
Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
Thirteen and four will be good enough to win the
division for sure?
Speaker 5 (01:04:49):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
That was fun.
Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
Yeah, it was slaptick for a while.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
Hey, I don't think I think I think we're on
the money.
Speaker 8 (01:04:58):
This is a damn good team. I think we're on
the most plausible we can look up, and they're eight
and one. I think it's very plausible.
Speaker 4 (01:05:04):
I don't think there's any debate about that.
Speaker 8 (01:05:06):
Like, if they play their best, the only thing that.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Would surprise me, I'll tell you what would surprise me
if the Lions. If the Lions got ten or under,
I would like jaw drop shit. And frankly, if they
got back to fifteen wins again, that just draw drops.
Speaker 19 (01:05:24):
Oh.
Speaker 11 (01:05:24):
Absolutely, nobody expects fifteen again. I mean, how can you
Even if you're a damn good team, you don't expect that.
But anything less than ten is blasphemy. That means somebody
got injured or something went horribly horribly wrong with this tame.
Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
Listen, back to back to back Bengals Chiefs Bucks is hard,
and then you go back to back at Washington at Philly.
That's tough. That's five tough games and all basically back
to back, with a couple of weeks in between those
last two speaking. Then then you go to the West
Coast to a couple of weeks after that.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
So I don't think we had back to back losses
on this either.
Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Don't it at all?
Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Actually, I think back to back back to back law
can Can I tell you another weird thing nationally that
I'm seeing. I'm seeing a lot of people kind of
dising Tampa and I I think people are making the
same mistake that they did last year. Honest to god,
I don't want to say that that I said that
the Lines would lose to Tampa last last year. But JB,
(01:06:24):
you were on the show, I can tell you definitively,
both Neil and I were saying, I'm terrified at this one.
I am terrified of this one. Baker Mayfield is a
damn good quarterback. Hey, Ma's real, Like, I think he
needed to grow up a little bit. But he's in
Dan and I'd like, I'm seeing other people pick, you know,
(01:06:47):
others in that division a lot of the Atlanta hype
and I will never buy it with Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
That division is Buccaneers easy one.
Speaker 4 (01:06:56):
I I just don't. I hear it about Atlanta every
freaking year, and every year they do Atlanta type things. Right. Yeah,
I'm not saying that Tampa's gonna win the win the NFC.
I'm not saying that Tampa is even gonna be the
NFC championship game or anything like that. I just think
that's a better team than people maybe want to give
them credit for.
Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
Fair.
Speaker 4 (01:07:16):
I think that's fair, you know, and that like last year,
that that one, you know, in the midst of all
that craziness, you're a week away from the bye week.
I don't know that that one looks like a trap
game to me.
Speaker 5 (01:07:27):
They just gotta stay healthy Tampa because they always have
a plethora of injuries as well every time that game
rolls around. So we'll see. But they are talented. I
will give them that defensively and offensively their time.
Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
It's a Monday night game show, and I don't think
it's a trap.
Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
Yeah, but you know what the problem is, it's the
bye weeks after it, right that that's I always worry about.
You know, guys, Hey, you know what, finally we got
the bye week at a good time, and you know
what with the the I seventy five eyes, Ah man,
I'm gonna take off, I'm gonna go here, go there.
This is what I'm gonna do during the week or anything.
I just like that's a good team and they caught
(01:08:01):
us last year.
Speaker 11 (01:08:02):
But shout out to Justin from North Carolina. The Bucks
got swept by the Falcons.
Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
Twice last year or yeah, they got swept, so they
lost more games to the Falcons last year and they
won the division. They did, but it was anybody's division
to win.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
That Bucks game against the Lions last year was their
worst game that they played before the Washington game. That
Bucks game, they crapped themselves.
Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
Our fourth quarter was awful.
Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
Jared Goff was awful. Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson was
aw awful. It was an awful game. They kicked the
field goal fourth and one from the three. That's not
Dan Campbell. That's not Dan Campbell. When they did that,
I'm like, something's up with this game.
Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
That was more than Lions beating themselves.
Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
They did, actually they did.
Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
I'll go back to our boy from North Carolina, appreciate you,
but how Falcons?
Speaker 5 (01:08:53):
Is that very foul?
Speaker 4 (01:08:54):
Like how fell? We beat Tampa twice, but things they
wanted to know where Michael Penis aka Michael Pennick's junior.
Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
I think it might be a little different. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Atlanta beat Philly too.
Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
It's it's amazing early in the year. Yeah, boy was
at a ship game.
Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
Remember that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
Yeah, it was entertaining. That wasn't entertaining game for a
Thursday night?
Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
All right? Do we got Dan Miller? Yes, the legend
is on all right, the voice of the Detroit Lions,
of course, the sports director at Fox Do You can
always check out Game Day Live. They've been doing it
for so many years. I was very fortunate and happy
to be a part of that for a few years.
But Dan Miller, the voice of the Detroit Lions, kind
enough to join us this morning. Dan always appressed, thanks
(01:09:41):
so much for getting up with us.
Speaker 9 (01:09:42):
Bud, what fellas? How you doing?
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
Wow, that's what I did?
Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
Alright, Sorry about that, techo, he said, that's a lot
of your end, all right, Hopefully it's not sound good.
It's not on our end, Dan, it is upon us.
Expectations have never been higher. One thing that makes me
take off my hat and throw it in anger. And
(01:10:07):
this isn't taken anything away from ag or he whose
name I dare not mention. Tremendous job. Thank you for
what you did. But there's a heck of a lot
of talent here with the Detroit Lions, and I think
we're going to be just fine.
Speaker 20 (01:10:20):
Yeah. I think that's my reaction each time somebody brings
that up, and it always gets brought up, is we're
not going to know until they go out there and play.
We're not going to know until these guys go out
there and call plays. And you know, even Dan Campbell
said that in an interview we did. I don't know
if it was at the owner's meetings, but it was
earlier this offseason. He said, Look, we're getting everything in
place now, but until they make a critical call on
(01:10:43):
third and seven and we find out how they handle
that and we see them sequence a game, those are
the things where you really begin to understand, learn on
the job and define yourself as a play caller. And
you know these guys ultimately have to do that. But Sean,
your point is a good one because the other thing
that I say to people is when Ben left and
(01:11:05):
when Ag left, they didn't take those players with them.
And there's still a ton of players on this team.
The defense is in better shape now than it was
a year ago. And I think the offensively, all those
weapons are still there. There's some questions to answer in
the middle of that offensive line that we can project
right now.
Speaker 9 (01:11:22):
But until they get out there and play. We don't
know the ultimate answers to them.
Speaker 20 (01:11:25):
So I know the questions about this team, and believe me,
we've all heard them non stop. We've heard, you know,
national people pontificating about why they're going to take a fall.
Speaker 9 (01:11:35):
Because of these things that they don't have anymore.
Speaker 20 (01:11:38):
But the truth is, I think they feel pretty good
about where they are and ultimately the season will define that.
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
You know, another similarity between them and the defending Super
Bowl champions is and you just touched on it, Dan,
I couldn't agree with you more. Listen, we don't know
how it's going to work on the offensive line. You
took one of the best centers of the game and
he's out now. And I don't care what anybody says.
I am not gonna dismiss that. And if you remember
last year, Philly had to replace a coordinator, they had
(01:12:06):
to replace one of the best centers in the game,
and it took a little while to get that cohesiveness going.
Everything that I've heard about Tate Ratledge is positive. I
think we know what Graham Glasgow brings to the table.
It's going to be a process, but I think it's
a process it's going to be fine, Dan, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:12:24):
And I think he's gonna look.
Speaker 20 (01:12:27):
Tate's gonna see things that he hasn't seen, and they're
going to try to confuse him. It's nice to have
a veteran on each side of him, And the same
thing with Mahogany, who looked is not a guy that's
sat a ton of experience in this league. I think
they like what they saw in a very limited audition
last year and when he had to come in and play.
But I think in the long run, they feel really
(01:12:48):
good about those guards and they feel like they can
hit the ground running with those guys.
Speaker 9 (01:12:53):
But you know, there's going to be bumps in the road.
It's not going to be like you.
Speaker 20 (01:12:58):
Had that veteran offense line out there that you had
last year with Zeitmer, who'd been a pro bowler in Glasgow,
who'd been around in ragnow whos you said, is one
of the best players in the league. That things have changed,
So it doesn't mean that you can't get back to
where you were ultimately, but to expect that right off
the bat might be a little unrealistic, but it's not
unrealistic to think that you can win right off the bat,
(01:13:20):
just that you might have to handle some things along
the way with those guys.
Speaker 9 (01:13:23):
So look, I think they love what they have seen
from Ratledge.
Speaker 20 (01:13:27):
I think from the day Mahogany walked in the door
and got healthy enough to play, they've loved what they've
seen from him. I think the fact that Graham has
the experience in the middle of that line is ultimately
why they switched that thing up and got him back
in there at center very quickly after the Ratledge experience,
and I think that alignment makes them feel more secure
with what's happening in front of Jared. But look, teams
(01:13:50):
are going to attack that. We're going to see that
right off the bat. Teams are going to come after
those guys in the middle, and we will see how
they handle it. But again, I think this team and
I think they've earned equity in terms of understanding what
they've got and the type of talent they have. I
think they feel good about these guys, and I think
they're as excited as we are to see them get
out there and play and get this thing going.
Speaker 3 (01:14:11):
Hey damn, before we talk Packers and all what they've done,
any surprises with the Lions on their roster. Any surprises
like the Tim Patrick, Was that a surprise for you?
Speaker 20 (01:14:23):
I think we all kind of kicked that around as
a possibility just because of the way that Tesla came
on and how well he played from really the beginning
of off season workouts when the rookies got there to camp.
He just never let up, and you felt like he
needed to find some way into that lineup, and I
(01:14:44):
think they felt like they had some depth at receiver.
Speaker 9 (01:14:46):
They do like love it.
Speaker 20 (01:14:47):
They got Meeks on the practice squad, so I just
think they looked at it and said, you know what,
we're going to start working this guy.
Speaker 9 (01:14:54):
And now he's a red zone mismatch.
Speaker 20 (01:14:57):
He's got a big body, he knows how to use it,
he's fast, he's got terrific hands, and he you know,
people have seen what he's done in games. I will
tell you what he's done in practice has been equally,
if not more impressive, just the plays that he's made
week in a week out. So I think that kind
of explained to Patrick thing just finding more time for him.
(01:15:17):
I don't know if there's really anything else that surprised
me on that roster. As we looked at final cuts,
I didn't really know what they were going to do.
It was fringes where you had questions, you know, what
were they going to do at the edge with guys
that you know, had shown a little something in Natelyn
or in Isaac Goukuu who.
Speaker 9 (01:15:34):
Got lego yesterday.
Speaker 20 (01:15:35):
So Matz, I don't think there was really anything that
I was that locked into with his team in terms
of the roster, because once you got pasted, okay, core
guys probably a backup. It really wasn't that much in
terms of questions. And I don't think, look again, it
was born out. It's not like anybody that they cut
got scooped up by anybody else immediately. I think we
(01:15:56):
always maybe overvalue what we see in the preseason. And
as Dan Campbell said a couple of weeks ago, asked
him a question about it, you know, how often do
you guys are you right about guys that get claimed
or not claimed?
Speaker 9 (01:16:07):
And he said, Brad's pretty much right one hundred percent
of the time.
Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
Hey, Dan Miller joins us voice and a Lion Sports
director of Fox two. We're here for the for our Sunday,
for our Sunday look ahead for the Packers. Before we
do the Packers one last time. There's a lot of
fans out there that clamoring for Zadarias Smith, and Zadaria
Smith is out there pretty much on Instagram, him and
his girlfriend Cash Noll. She's wearing a Lion shirt, she's
(01:16:33):
wearing his gear. He wears his gear anytime he's on Instagram. Whatever.
What's your take on him going forward? Is he gonna
be here? Will he be somewhere else? What's the hold up?
What do you got?
Speaker 9 (01:16:47):
I have no idea what his phone has been doing
in terms of other teams calling.
Speaker 20 (01:16:55):
I have no idea if he wants to play anywhere else,
or if this is the only place he wants to play,
or if he really wants to play and what he
wants to do. Guys, I don't know if this is
a Lions feeling like their defensive line is set and
they're good with what they've got.
Speaker 9 (01:17:11):
Or if this is a money thing from the beginning
where they couldn't come to.
Speaker 20 (01:17:16):
An agreement on what they've got and to spend and
what he wanted or the role that he wanted and
the role that they had to offer. I will tell you,
and I understand the perils that come with Marcus Davenport
and his injury history, I get all that, but I
will tell you they absolutely love what Davenport brings to
(01:17:37):
that defensive line. And when Davenport has been out there
during training camp, he has been really good. I mean,
he is just a line wrecker when he's out there. Now,
I again, I trust me. I understand the question is availability,
and we'll have to see if he can hold up
for you know, four weeks, six weeks, sixteen weeks, seventeen weeks,
(01:17:58):
eighteen weeks, whatever it is. But look, I kind of
thought a while back that z was going to be here.
For whatever reason, he's not. And I think if you
were gonna do it, you would have done it by now.
Maybe an emergency dictates that you do do it at
some point, but I just kept looking at it, guys,
(01:18:19):
and I thought, Okay, I believe they're gonna sign him.
And then you're at the be an A training camp
and it's like, maybe, okay, maybe he doesn't want to
come to camp.
Speaker 9 (01:18:26):
Maybe it's just a veteran who doesn't want to do camp,
and you're just letting him do that.
Speaker 20 (01:18:29):
Then it was like, there's three weeks to go in
camp you bring him in now, because if you don't,
you got a question conditioning, he's going to come in
and just pull a muscle. He hasn't been working out
at football speed and all those things, And then as
we got closer, it just becomes a parent They're not
gonna do that.
Speaker 9 (01:18:42):
And it's not like Brad Holmes.
Speaker 20 (01:18:44):
Hasn't been asked a million times and Dan Campbell hasn't
been asked a million times, and they're usually pretty honest
when you answer. It's it's them feeling good about their rosters.
So I don't know that I have any answers that
are going to make fans feel any better about their
desire to have him here. I think you just have
to take those guys at what they say and believe
them because I think if they've been anything, they've been
(01:19:05):
honest over the years about what they're doing and how
they do it, and they really don't try to hide
that much.
Speaker 11 (01:19:11):
Good morning, Dan, it's a pleasure to talk to you again.
And I wanted to ask you about this because I
felt like over the offseason this kind of went under
the radar. But about three weeks ago, Dan Campbell sat
down with Brad Galley and they talked about, you know,
some of the things that happened last year, and Dan
Campbell and I quote said, I felt this team in
regards to, you know, them putting so much on trying
(01:19:34):
to go out there and get the number one seed
and get that home field advantage in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:19:39):
And he kind of alluded to the fact that, you.
Speaker 11 (01:19:41):
Know that may have caused some of the injuries you
know that we saw pile up as the season went along.
I wanted to ask you, do you think that there
is a d emphasis this year on winning the number
one seed? Because in the perfect world, of course, you
want to win your division, you want to win the
number one seed, you want to have that home playoff game.
But do you think there's any d emphasis of trying
(01:20:02):
to go out there and be the best team in
the NFC this year?
Speaker 9 (01:20:06):
No, I think that.
Speaker 20 (01:20:07):
I think goal number one for them is to win
the division and then if they can get that buy
along with it.
Speaker 9 (01:20:12):
I think that's that sets him up. I mean, Dan
Campbell always talks about getting into the tournament. You know,
I heard that. I would have to go back and
listen to it again.
Speaker 20 (01:20:22):
My take on it was that a lot of it
was about putting so much emphasis on Minnesota that maybe
they weren't necessarily ready for Washington.
Speaker 9 (01:20:30):
And I don't even know if I buy that.
Speaker 20 (01:20:31):
Look this team, guys, if you go back and look
at last year with all the issues that they had
on defense, and I'm not discounting what Dan says. I think,
you know, Dan's trying to put his team in the
best mental frame of mind, and I think he's that's
one of his kind of superpowers.
Speaker 9 (01:20:48):
He usually has his team ready to play. But if
you go back to the.
Speaker 20 (01:20:53):
Buffalo game and you look really from the Buffalo game on,
they were giving up over thirty points a game and
they were just running on fumes. They just didn't have
any guys left on defense, and Washington just kind of
riddled them and there was pressure on them the whole game.
They had an opportunity early in that game to get
up a couple scores. They didn't take advantage of it.
Speaker 9 (01:21:16):
But I don't I don't know.
Speaker 20 (01:21:18):
I'm not questioning Dan Campbell questioning himself. But what I
will say, I think one of his best attributes is
his ability to read the room and get guys ready.
I think last year a bad time to have a
bad game, maybe against Washington, but more than that, a
team that was just falling apart, bringing in guys on
(01:21:38):
Monday and playing them on Sunday, which is unheard of
in this league, especially when there's four of them in
the same game. They just they just didn't have enough
of guys left. When you when you lose your two
best defensive linemen, you lose your best cornerback, you lose
a Mik robertson the first quarter of the game against
Washington and Alexandealoni had missed time and Eric Barnes was
(01:22:00):
gone and Davenport was gone, and it's just I don't
know how you survive that when it gets to be
that time of year and when you get the postseason,
you want to be playing your best football.
Speaker 9 (01:22:12):
And the Minnesota game.
Speaker 20 (01:22:13):
Aside, and I know some people will point to that
Washington was playing their best football.
Speaker 9 (01:22:18):
I don't believe the Lions were playing their best football
at that time.
Speaker 20 (01:22:22):
I think they were holding things together at times with
stix and glue, and I think it was difficult.
Speaker 5 (01:22:26):
Yeah, I totally agree with that, Dan.
Speaker 11 (01:22:28):
And of course, the Lions opened the season with the
Green Bay Packers Division game right out of the gate
and the biggest news, of course, Michael Parsons becoming a
Green Bay Packer. I wanted to get your thoughts on
just do you think that this is a shift in
the NFC North at all, How concerns should the Lions
be going forward with Micah being in the division now,
(01:22:49):
and just your overall thoughts on the NFC North as
a whole.
Speaker 9 (01:22:52):
I mean, it's a huge stray.
Speaker 20 (01:22:53):
I mean, there's not many game wreckers in this league,
and he's one of them.
Speaker 9 (01:22:59):
The line have one of them.
Speaker 20 (01:23:01):
But look, I'm not ready to sit here and say
that after the Lions have won two consecutive NFC North titles,
that Green Bay all of a sudden is the champ,
because there's still the same questions that people were asking
about them, you know, last year or coming into the
offseason or coming into this year. It's still Jordan Love
has things to prove, and it is still you know,
(01:23:24):
that receiving corps.
Speaker 9 (01:23:25):
Is there a number one guy out there?
Speaker 20 (01:23:27):
Is there a guy that they can count on or
is it just going to be you know, a group.
I know they drafted obviously a receiver that they're hoping
will come on. But I'm not ready to say that
that trade makes the Lions the second choice to win
the NFC North. I just think that's disrespectful to a
team that's won at two years in a row and
brings back a really solid core of guys that are
(01:23:50):
getting better all you know, basically under the age of
twenty six, and a veteran quarterback who's appeared to be
at the top of his game and said NFL records
last year in personal rects last year for his accuracy
and the way that they played. So look, I full
hats off to Green Bay. It's a terrific trade to
bring in a player like that. Might there be repercussions
(01:24:11):
down the road, yeah, but if they win, they're not
going to care. So that's a conversation that I know
everybody's had at some point in the past couple of days.
But full respect, But do I make them the now
significant NFC North favorite?
Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
No?
Speaker 20 (01:24:26):
I said all along, I thought maybe Green Bay was
the team that had the least questions about them, because
I do think you have to respect the fact that
the Lions do have two new coordinators.
Speaker 9 (01:24:36):
That's a question. You do have a massive change in
the middle year offensive line. That's a question.
Speaker 20 (01:24:41):
Minnesota's got a quarterback who's never thrown a ball in
the NFL.
Speaker 9 (01:24:44):
That's a question.
Speaker 20 (01:24:45):
So Chicago's got a new coaching staff, we don't know
if their quarterback's any good. And you know, I'm usually
not a fan of teams that go out and spend
tons of money in free agency because I think that
rarely works. So as you look at it, I said, Okay,
maybe there's fewer questions about green Bay than some of
these other teams, but I think the questions they do
have are still there. Parsons makes a difference, but I
(01:25:07):
think it's disrespectful the Lions to say, Okay, they're not,
you know, at least the co favorites in that division anymore.
Speaker 9 (01:25:15):
And further, who cares, because you're gonna go out and play,
and you're.
Speaker 20 (01:25:21):
Gonna go out and play, and what we think today
may not be anywhere near what we think in two weeks,
three weeks, four weeks.
Speaker 9 (01:25:31):
This is just fodder for us to talk about. It's
what we do for a living. But to get too
upset about what Vegas says or.
Speaker 20 (01:25:38):
What people think, I mean, I can turn on the
TV and have somebody tell me the Lions are going
to miss the playoffs. I can turn on the TV
and the radio and have somebody tell me, you know
that the Lions are going to the super Bowl to
represent the NFC.
Speaker 9 (01:25:50):
It's like everybody's got.
Speaker 20 (01:25:51):
These wild opinions, and then you feel like you have
to justify the good ones and take down the bad ones.
Speaker 9 (01:25:59):
And it gets a point we're to say, you know what, talk,
just talk.
Speaker 20 (01:26:03):
But you know the cool thing is Sunday they play,
and that's what we're really looking forward to.
Speaker 4 (01:26:08):
The best in the business, Dan Miller, always appreciate your time.
Safe travels to Green Bay. They got you covered all weekend.
Of course, Lomas, TJ and Dan with the Lines Radio Network.
Don't forget about what you're doing with Game Day Live
ten o'clock in the morning, wrap it up with Sports
Wrap Sunday night, and Dan uh bye week This year,
(01:26:29):
I want to get you and Low over for the barbecue.
Speaker 5 (01:26:32):
I will trade you.
Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
I will trade you a rack of de rock ribs
and a sausage platter to be named later for your
nineteen thirty four hat. Can we do this?
Speaker 5 (01:26:42):
Can we we were talking?
Speaker 4 (01:26:44):
All right?
Speaker 9 (01:26:45):
We can talk.
Speaker 20 (01:26:46):
Yeah, you've found you've found a way to Uh, my
stomach is definitely the way to anything.
Speaker 4 (01:26:51):
All right. Hey, fantastic, And let me tell you something.
By the Lomas brother, Gary eight more wings in one
sitting than I've ever seen a man.
Speaker 19 (01:26:58):
It was, it was.
Speaker 9 (01:27:01):
It doesn't surprise me. Probably Lomas went with a sensible salad.
Speaker 4 (01:27:04):
But hey, appreciate you. Dan safe travels a.
Speaker 9 (01:27:08):
Lot, thanks, man.
Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Appreciate Dan Miller from Fox too, of course, the sports
director at Fox two, the voice of the Lions. Check
out what they do each and every weekend. And uh,
always great to be able to have a chance to
chat with Dan.
Speaker 3 (01:27:26):
You're almost ready. You were almost ready to throw your hat.
Speaker 4 (01:27:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
Once he brought up the coordinators, easy, easy, fella.
Speaker 9 (01:27:36):
He knows.
Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
Of course.
Speaker 5 (01:27:38):
Of course you have two new coordinators.
Speaker 3 (01:27:41):
You have and it can affect you.
Speaker 4 (01:27:43):
You have to talk about right. I just do not
think it's the factor that people make it out to be. Sorry,
And you know what if in four weeks it looks
like it, I'll be the first guy to say it,
or it could be, Oh, I don't know. Like the
Philadelphia Eagles who started out the year two and two
last year and everybody was talking about their new coordinators
(01:28:03):
and Nick Sirianni had to be fired and this is
this shows you the importance of a guy like Jason Kelcey.
And then they fucking lost one game the rest of
the year.
Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:28:10):
Yeah, relax. See what he said at the end too.
I know we're up against it. Okay, this is what's
so stupid about the schedule game. What we think we
know right now is gonna change three weeks. Absolutely, what
we think we know three weeks from now, you know,
when we all got it figured out, is gonna change
a month after that. That's the one thing about this
(01:28:32):
new National Football League Mas when we were kids. I'm
telling you right now, you could set your watch to it.
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:28:38):
Oh, the Dallas Cowboys are gonna win eleven twelve thirteen games.
The Pittsburgh Sailors are gonna win eleven twelve. Miami Dolphins
are gonna be really good. They're not gonna win anything,
but they're gonna be really right. It's not like that anymore, man,
And the league loves it. League loves every second of it.
We are so late for a break. Thanks again to
Dan Miller. Thanks again to the hard work of the
(01:28:59):
guys around me as well for figure it out the
technical we got. Shout out to you, all three of
you guys. I'm serious when I say that I'm a
stay in your lane guy. I don't know what the
fuck I'm doing, so thankfully I'm around three guys that
do so. Thank you very much. Where are we going, JB.
Speaker 13 (01:29:13):
We gotta double up and here from the Massage chair
House and the College Football Show.
Speaker 12 (01:29:17):
But first let me clear up these super chests. Shot
shout out to Dan.
Speaker 13 (01:29:20):
Miller once again for coming on and hanging with us.
Four ninety nine from Dante won five to one.
Speaker 12 (01:29:24):
He sent us in.
Speaker 13 (01:29:25):
He said, if the Lions lose to Tampa again, then
I will get a Baker Mayfield jersey.
Speaker 12 (01:29:30):
I do like their wire receiver cord. But Hutch has
five sacks.

Speaker 5 (01:35:33):
Hi, welcome back in No Ellen.
Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
I just found out what'd you just find out from
the chat? Good friend Eric Allen said, Matts, Hey, guys,
did you know that the Packers unretired Curly Lambeau's number one?
What and gave it to Micah? Now he's eleven, but
Jayden Reid wears eleven. So instead of fighting for him,
(01:35:57):
giving him money to take number eleven, although I don't
know if you can afford it. Making forty seven million
a year, couldn't give the guy a million or two
to take that number. They unretire that guy, Curly. You
know Lambo, he's wearing lambos. Larry Mo nineteen twenty six,
nineteen twenty six, that Jersey has been retired, and uh,
(01:36:21):
I think that that bodes poorly for them. And I'll
just bring up one guy that played here and took
number fifty six at a.
Speaker 4 (01:36:30):
Don't bring that. Don't bring that up. Why why are
you going and doing that? Man? We had a good
vibe going. We went totally slapt in and then you
go and bring up.
Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
But how excited were you when they signed Pat Squills?
Speaker 4 (01:36:41):
Did you see Tony Dorset last night?
Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
Did you see? Yeah, thirty three was running thirty three Williams. Yes,
that was door Sets.
Speaker 4 (01:36:49):
I'm sorry that infuriated me.
Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
I know, I'm like, eighty four infuriates me on the Lions,
I'm with you, eighty four that's a fact, guy. They
were given it to some some dude. That was a
tight end. Eighty four.
Speaker 5 (01:37:02):
Don't do that.
Speaker 4 (01:37:03):
Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:37:04):
Come on, man, how do you unretire Lambbeau Jersey?
Speaker 5 (01:37:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
To me, that don't bode well? Thank you? Thanks for that. Eric.
Speaker 5 (01:37:16):
Did you used to listen to Lamba on the radio?
Mask No?
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
For God's sake, all.
Speaker 4 (01:37:22):
Right, can I say this you guys, and and I'm
glad to hear Dan say what I know. I told
you guys for the last I think green Bay's number
two in this division?
Speaker 9 (01:37:34):
I do.
Speaker 4 (01:37:34):
Okay, can we be honest for a second. Let's just
be honest for just a second. I'm not I'm asking
are we better than green Bay? Absolutely? We are, yes,
But can we look at last year? Can we look
at last It's not like we crushed them. Okay, we
beat them by ten, we beat him by three, we
split the year before. Okay, we're better. I openly admit that,
(01:37:57):
and especially the second game last year. I'm and I'm
not joking. I'm confessing this to you, guys. I'm watching
that game and I'm hearing them call players' names, and
I'm like, I have no idea who that is? Whose
name did he just say? And I'm rifling through my
phone looking at it. Green Bay is still a good team. Okay,
there's still questions about green Bay and it starts with
(01:38:19):
their starting quarterback and my Packer fans, my friends, you guys,
if I can call myself out about the things you
were saying about Lion fans, and I think there's validity
to it. Fans Micah Barton four fifty seven, Lion fans going,
Brad go get Bika five o'clock when Green Bay got him.
He ain't no good. He doesn't make Green Bay any better.
(01:38:42):
It was a bad fans fan.
Speaker 3 (01:38:48):
On a loop.
Speaker 4 (01:38:49):
Can I now turn that around and apply that same
thing to you? Because I heard from so many of
you guys during the off season. Man, I don't know
about Jordan Love and now all of a sudden, you're
all back in all right, So let's let's let's just
keep it correct and we'll see what transpires from there.
Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
But he is playing with a splint, by the way,
Jordan Love on his left hand. That was the handy
hurt in preseason and had operated. He's a righty, but
you still got to take the stap.
Speaker 4 (01:39:16):
I'm just saying I would go after the left hand immediately.
I'm just saying, wouldn't even think twice, wouldn't even think twice,
follow through on my tackle and grab that.
Speaker 5 (01:39:25):
And yank it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:26):
What do you think they're gonna do to Hutch You
kidding me?
Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (01:39:29):
You gotta test it many And I know some softies
out there. You mean, man, it's football.
Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
What are you talking about? Right, it's a car crash?
Speaker 10 (01:39:38):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
Hey? Can we do that ticket prices thing? Who found
that yesterday? Perhaps to you, JB. But if you can
find that ticket prices to get into games for week.
Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
One, Wow, you would never believe who's the most expensive ticket.
Speaker 4 (01:39:57):
They print money, they do, like like we just all
have to accept it that the NFL prints money. There
is no end in sight none. By the way, I
can't unsee this right now, So now I have to
punish all three of you. While JB is trying to
find this, my buddy sent me a picture of Jalen Carter,
(01:40:18):
like the official Eagles picture of Jalen Carter, and then
he put a picture of Stacy Abrams next to it.
I can't. For the last five minutes, I've been trying
to stifle my laughter. No, no, no, you need to
go look at it now. I'm pulling it up, Dan.
Speaker 3 (01:40:40):
That is wild.
Speaker 4 (01:40:41):
That is Stacy Abrams. Man, that is Stacy Abrams. You
guys can't see it.
Speaker 5 (01:40:47):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (01:40:48):
Play at home. You got you guys all you guys
all go look up Jalen Carter and then look up
Stacey Abrams. It's like, oh my god. Or does she spin?
Speaker 5 (01:41:01):
Does she spin too?
Speaker 4 (01:41:03):
Probably? All right, JB? You got that the ticket prices
for a week one?
Speaker 13 (01:41:07):
Yeah, I was trying to grab the jup man, poor JB.
Speaker 4 (01:41:12):
Now we got them doing two things.
Speaker 3 (01:41:13):
A good right, you're good.
Speaker 5 (01:41:17):
I got at least Stacey Aprals alone. That's a good one.
Speaker 4 (01:41:19):
All right, here we go. All right, fantastic, guys, you
know what, like, honestly, this is this is one of
those things.
Speaker 11 (01:41:26):
Look at that, seriously, two hundred and twenty six dollars
for Lions pack. Come on, man, that's probably just standing
room at this point because you know they sold out.
Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
Yeah, you're not getting in Lambeau of that pro Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:41:42):
I'm telling you though, do you see do you see
that game? I mean, not only is it a Monday night,
but you are talking about the most delusional fan base
ever in the Chicago Bear Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:41:53):
Hey, have at it. You got your genius. Now let's see.
Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
And you guys can get mad at me, you can
yell at me. I know I've already made enemies of
so many of you over the years. Okay, you know
you do this to yourself every year. Maybe this year
is different, I doubt it, but you do this to
yourself every single year. And with Bears fans, it's not
(01:42:17):
we're gonna win the division, it's not we're gonna be good, No,
we're going to the super Bowl. Like every year you
do this to yourself. You've become a punchline for not
just people like me. Okay, So the fact that it's
two hundred and forty six dollars to go see what
was a shit team last year? Doesn't surprise me in
any way, shape or form, none. Zero.
Speaker 3 (01:42:39):
They love this sports though, give them credit.
Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
They're slapticks. Both things can be true. You love your sports.
It's a great sports down.
Speaker 3 (01:42:45):
Why don't I go to New Orleans and get in
for thirty bucks? See a professional football game for thirty dollars?
Speaker 4 (01:42:50):
How about la?
Speaker 3 (01:42:51):
I know, forty dollars? What an embarrassing in that beautiful?
My kid, that's would be laugh at you.
Speaker 4 (01:42:58):
His mind was blown, like he when he went there,
he saw him there, he goes dead. This is the
nicest place I've ever been. Yeah, Like that's all I
hear about so far is like how nice.
Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
It's gotta love those Los Angeles fans, Yeah, love them worthless,
worthless fans.
Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
I am just not paying anything near those prices. Ye,
that's just nothing, nothing the Lions games, I really am.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
No, it's just not even the Browns fans. One hundred
and six bucks. That's a decent price to go see
the in state rivals in Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (01:43:34):
Since he in Cleveland, are you surprised about your jets man's.
Speaker 3 (01:43:36):
One hundred and twenty bucks to see Aaron Rodgers come back?
I don't think you'll be able to get in the
stadium for one hundred and twenty bucks.
Speaker 4 (01:43:42):
I'm a little surprised at that.
Speaker 3 (01:43:44):
Yeah, that's a little inexpensive.
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
I'm a little surprised at that.
Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
The Jets last year really suffered when once Aaron Rodgers,
once the whole team went down the tubes, they were
hardly they had They had a lot of empty seats
at matt Life.
Speaker 5 (01:44:00):
It was a struggle to watch. Who wants to watch
that shit?
Speaker 3 (01:44:02):
That was bad, So they lost a lot of fans
after the a rod incidents.
Speaker 4 (01:44:07):
I'll be really interested to see too, if the Bears
eventually go to Arlington, Like, isn't that where they're talking about?
Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
They knock down beautiful Arlington Park, beautiful racetrack, one of
the best in the country. It's just blank now, and
it's their property and it's up to them. It's Kevin
Warren who used to run the Big ten. Yeah, he's
their guy now. They want to be where Soldier Field is.
They want to be, but Chicago ain't gonna fit the bill.
They're not gonna foot the bill. And you know, the
(01:44:35):
McCaskey allis family got to come up with some more
money if they want to stay down on the waterfront,
which they should be. You don't want to do what
the Lions did. You don't want to go out to
Pottiac You don't. They belonged down here in Detroit from
day one. When you go out to the suburbs, it's
nothing more than, you know, easy money. People are gonna
let you go out there and build your stadium, but
(01:44:57):
you're not. You're not in the city you belong in.
You can't leave. I don't think you could leave Chicago.
I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:45:04):
It won't seem right. No, Old Soldier Field was so cool,
it really was. You need a dome until they turn
it into the spaceship.
Speaker 3 (01:45:11):
They need a dome because they want to host Final
Fours and Super Bowls at least one. You need a dome.
They want concerts the whole nine yards.
Speaker 4 (01:45:19):
All right, we got to do our picks. Mas maz
is all over that, so we'll do our picks. We
gotta find out what's trying with JB. Smooth.
Speaker 12 (01:45:26):
You guys want to see this, Yeah and.
Speaker 3 (01:45:28):
Listen, Wow, holy crow, Yeah, this is bad.
Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
Come on, some lipstick on a pig and dot dot
dot look at that.
Speaker 3 (01:45:44):
Wow. I told you, Yeah, you hit it on the button.
Speaker 4 (01:45:48):
My idiot friend has to send that to me during
the show.
Speaker 6 (01:45:51):
Yeah, man, bother me.
Speaker 12 (01:45:52):
Like that again.
Speaker 5 (01:45:55):
Come on, we have four hat flips.
Speaker 4 (01:45:57):
And all right, JB, where are we going?
Speaker 12 (01:46:00):
You gotta hear from Jack's car Wash?
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
Oh, I got your back on that. I'll be heading
there and just a couple of minutes, sh a little
dust on the car?

Speaker 6 (01:47:14):
A network for the city by the city. Woodward Sports
is Detroit Sports.
Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
Game is one of the trenches, and our big fellows
don't mess around the Woward heavyweights on the Woodward stortes.
Speaker 4 (01:48:18):
A no coincidence that then in Law each have three letters.
In Justice means different things to different people. A settlement,
a verdict, whatever the case may be. Justice is always
worth the fight. So you want a fighter on your side.
You want then Johnson Law. You get the justice that
you deserve. Top tenacious trial lawyers. They aren't going to
(01:48:42):
rest until they get you the w that's then Johnson Law.
All right, final segment of the show. We'll find out
what's trying to a JB. Smoove in just a minute.
But Maz, we got to do our wacky picks. You
had a great week class.
Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
Week, well last week I had a five on one
week you were four and two jab three kg pulling
up the rear right now. But he's good at this.
Oh yeah, he's two and four. So let's let's start off.
We'll do our college teams first. We got Michigan going
to Oklahoma in Norman, the Wolverines getting five and a half. Show.
I'm gonna lead it off with you.
Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
They went out right. Yeah, I don't like I don't
like Oklahoma. I just don't. I think Venables is a disaster.
I think Michigan wins outright. So give me the points.
Speaker 3 (01:49:27):
Thank you, you got it. KG.
Speaker 5 (01:49:29):
It is great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
Speaker 11 (01:49:32):
Give me the Michigan Wolverines man, Bryce Gone, Hey, Bryce, Hey,
this was one of the games I picked as a loss,
but I'm gonna change my mind and say they're gonna
eat this one out.
Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
Five and a half to me is that magic number?
Give me the Wolverines. Up to you, JB.
Speaker 13 (01:49:48):
Oklahoma did not look great or at least the best
I've seen the past week, So give me Michigan.
Speaker 12 (01:49:53):
On this one in the points.
Speaker 3 (01:49:54):
Alrighty, here's a game that's on at the same exact time.
So if you like both teams, you're luck. Unless you
have a good channel changer. It's the Boston College Eagles
coming into East Lansing. Michigan State is a favorite in
this game. You're not gonna see many times that their
favorite four and a half, and I remember Sean saying
that they should have won last year's game. Aiden Childs
(01:50:15):
did not have one of his best games. So KG
lead us off four and a half, MSU's favorite.
Speaker 11 (01:50:21):
MSU may win this game, but I gotta see it first.
Give me Boston College in the points.
Speaker 3 (01:50:26):
I'm gonna go right with you. I'm gonna take BC
to cover. I think Michigan State does win this game.
Gotta show me, JB.
Speaker 13 (01:50:33):
This is Michigan State's get right game or get back game,
revenge game, whatever you wanna call it. I am taking
MSU in minus the four and a half. I think
they'll win this one.
Speaker 4 (01:50:42):
Johnny, I am utterly depressed that Michigan State football is
back to the pre D'Antonio era, where we're left to
talk about big games against Boston College and pray for
a bowl game. Michigan State wins, but they do not cover.
I'll take Boston in College in the four and a half.
This screams three point games.
Speaker 3 (01:51:02):
Yeah, so far, we're all in it together as we
start Week one of the NFL, which started last night.
Game two is tonight. It's the Kansas City Chiefs. There's
a home game for the Chargers because they have no fans.
They're like, let's just play in Brazil. Chargers are a
home underdog, getting four and a half. I'll lead it off.
Give me the lightning bolts to cover that number. I
(01:51:23):
still think the Chiefs win, though, Okay, JB, you're up.
Speaker 13 (01:51:27):
I think this is gonna be a rough start for
the Chiefs on this one, so I'm with you. Mas
give me the Chargers and the minus weren't ass shotty.
Speaker 4 (01:51:34):
All right, I'm going different.
Speaker 5 (01:51:36):
I think the Chiefs wink.
Speaker 3 (01:51:39):
Okay, son's good. They're good, man, they're good. They're underrated.
Heyg you got last picks here, last licks?
Speaker 5 (01:51:47):
Fie, give me the Chiefs man. They went by a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (01:51:51):
All right. Here comes the Aaron Rodgers Bowl. We go
to the medal as on Sundays, Stunner the Pittsburgh Steelers
at the New York Jets. The Jets are a home
underdog against their old friend, and Aaron let and him

In week one, the game sucked. Bengals at the Browns.
The magic number. Brown's getting five and a half at home.
I'll go first. I'll go first. I'm taking the Browns.
The Bengals have started oh to two in the last
two seasons. I'll take the Browns and the points. JB.
Speaker 13 (01:53:31):
Brown still haven't figured out a quarterbacks in this one.
Speaker 3 (01:53:34):
They have got Joe Flacco.
Speaker 4 (01:53:36):
That's not a see that's that's the way I You know,
I understand the Bengals have no defense and it's almost
a rule that they have to get down fourteen nothing
in a game. But I'm not feeling Cleveland's offense at all.
I'll take the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
Okay, so I'm the only Brown so far. Hey, god, damn,
he's a bad game.
Speaker 4 (01:54:00):
Games.
Speaker 5 (01:54:00):
Yeah, horrible.
Speaker 25 (01:54:01):
I really don't believe. Give me the Bengals, man, Wow,
two star ends this week. I'm either gonna have another
great week or I'm gonna be dead last. How about
the Raiders and the Patriots from Foxborough?
Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
Just find out what's trying to j R.
Speaker 3 (01:54:21):
Patriots are two and a half point favorite.

I'll take the noose and a vial of cyanide. How's that?
That's how I'll watch that game.
Speaker 3 (01:54:28):

two and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:54:33):
I'll take the Raiders.

did this game. Tom Brady going back to Foxborough this time.
He's a Raider. Kenny, give me.
Speaker 5 (01:54:48):
I want to take the Raiders so bad. Give me
the fucking Pats. Give me the pass, bro. I wanted
to do it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:55):

at the Bills Sunday Night football, Buffalo, A slight one
and a half point favorite. Uh, Kenny, give me the Ravens.
I'll take the Bills. I think the Bills are gonna
show up. I think the Bills are going to show
(01:55:23):
up and punch him right in the mouth, like.
Speaker 4 (01:55:25):

they're off again. I'm taking the Bills.
Speaker 3 (01:55:37):
JB.
Speaker 12 (01:55:38):
We are split on this one. I'll give me the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (01:55:41):
Okay, two Ravens and two Bills. I think we all
know what we're going to the next one. It's the
Lions at Lambeau. The spread was two and a half,
so we're gonna leave it at two and a half.
Lions getting two and a half at home. I'll go first,
give me the Lions, Lions, Lions. That's why I had all.

you don't I know that you don't need no damn sauce.
Speaker 5 (01:56:57):
Right, Maybe I would try this chocolate barbecue.
Speaker 8 (01:57:01):
Maybe I mean sweet barbicane, like sweet barbe, like honey barbecue.
Speaker 4 (01:57:07):
There are some real good Asian flavors that pop with barbecue.
You'd be surprised. So I might try peanut teriaki.
