Speaker 3 (01:28):
What did you like about going to Jones?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Well, if you look at if you look at what
Jamia has done against lefties, I mean we had to
take a shot. I mean, you guys saw the same
game I did, and up to that point, I think
we were at double digit guys on on base and
and almost all of them in scoring positions. So I
didn't think that he thought I was gonna hit for Greenee.

(01:51):
They had brought the lefty in for him in that spot.
We need a ball and play now. We didn't get it,
but we're taking our shot with Torque and and and Jemia,
you know, to.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Get the ball of the outfield. And wentzl too.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
The pinch hit was really more about Jami Jones, like
this guy's been good, including the last series when we
need single handly almost you know, won the game for
us when when we clinched. So it's not a knock
on Riley, not a knock on all the advats that
we had with runners in scoring position. It's a competition
one on one, and they won a lot of them.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Go back to rioty thing.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
He is the one guy you have historically really hit for.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Did you talk to they much in the moment?

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Do you think you're a conversation with him about it?

Speaker 4 (02:30):
So our our players are all in, you know. I'm
going to go make sure our clubhouse music is on.
I'm gonna make sure we're pretty upbeat. I'm going to
make sure we realize that we have an opportunity to
win the series tomorrow. I have no need to really
talk to Riley about it because our players know how
we're built, what we're trying to do, and there's.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Immense trusts amongst all of us.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
So if I see him, I'll talk to him, but
he'll be in there and be ready to go tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
It is a privilege. Aren't you having fun? There is
no window. It was the right decision. Splits tell all
we are all in obedience. Aj is infallible. Scott Harris
is infallible.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Stanford, he's smart.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
John, good morning, Good morning. How are you. It's frustrating, Okay,
it is very It is very frustrating. But I'm gonna
tell you what right now. Do you know what is
more frustrating the people that are defending some of the
decisions yesterday. That is infinitely more frustrating to me. And

(03:55):
there is a blind allegiance to this franchise. And I
get it. We're all fans, Okay, we want to believe
that this brain trust is the brain trust. It's gonna
take us to the next level. Okay, that's gonna give
you the championship that you rightfully deserve. And I'm serious.
This fan base has been a fantastic fan base. Okay,
all right, but there is no planet, no world that

(04:19):
exists where it's a good idea to pinch hit Riley
Green with Jamia Jones. There's no there's no planet. I
don't give two shits what the splits say, Like, I
want you listen to what you're saying. Okay, don't listen

(04:39):
to me media, bad sean evil, No, no, listen to yourself,
say it out loud. I want you to say it
out loud right now, if you're one of those people, Okay,
let's pinch hit Riley Green with Jami Jones in the
biggest at bat of the season. Did you do it?

(05:02):
Are you laughing? Are you wincing? This is I'm telling
you you guys, honestly, that's what's making this infinitely worse. Okay,
remember a couple of weeks ago, I told you I was.
I was having conversations with people that literally were saying
Scott Harris did not make the team worse. Well, you know,
Charlie Martin Morton had an e RA over seven. Was

(05:23):
dfaight right. The sheriff had an e r A over
six and was banished to the bullpen.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
I believe.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
You.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
You you believe what So look at the numbers. He
made them worse. You're a dumb hater. Hey, don't you
think we needed a bat like? Right? Wasn't that kind
of what everybody was clamoring for. We don't need no bats.
Here's the thing, aj the one thing I agree with

(05:56):
you on. Okay, we can still win this series. The
opportunity is there by the way you saw it got
moved to three right, three o'clock Okay, not one to
wait three o'clock, so plan accordingly. All right, you guys,
you can still love aj Hinch and sit back and
say that was awful yesterday. There were so many things

(06:20):
that were just bad yesterday, and the MLB tonight guys
were killing him fullaying him great, like you guys, like listen,
how did the entire Major League Baseball miss out on
a twenty eight year old journeyman and not realize how

(06:41):
fantastic he is in situations like this? Like Jami Jones
is a twenty eight year old journeyman. That's it. Do
you want me to read what Jami Jones background is?
He had seven at bats for the Angels in twenty twenty.
He had six sixty seven at bats for the Baltimore

(07:01):
Orioles in twenty twenty one. What did he do in
twenty twenty two? Oh no, he wasn't in the majors
all year. He had ten at bats for the Milwaukee
Brewers in twenty twenty three. He had forty two at
bats for the Yankees in twenty twenty four. Oh mass memorable.
Forty two memorable at bats for the Yankees as well.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
He won US the World Series.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
He had one hundred and twenty nine at bats for
the Tigers this year. He has had two hundred and
fifty five two hundred and fifty five major league at
bats going back to twenty twenty. But but because in
one hundred and four at bats against lefties this year,
he hit two eighty eight with a nine to seventy ozhps.

(07:44):
It's a good decision to take out our best hitter,
and I know his I've been a guy that has
been decrying his limitations for two years now. Please consider
the source. Okay, it is a good idea to take
out arguably our best hitter. He is our best hitter
and a guy who I think is really damn good

(08:06):
in left field. Oh, by the way, you have to
think about putting somebody else out in left field, Isaac mcinstry.
It's a good idea to take him out, Okay, and
you really like Honestly, I'm hearing people say that this
morning in mass in mass they are not infallible. And listen,

(08:26):
I'm not calling for aj Hinch's head. I'm not saying
he should be fired or anything like that. Both things
can be true. You can make an egregious mistake, and
I can still say he's a damn good manager. Man,
he is, He's a damn good manager.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
You had a bad day, horrible day. You had a
bad day at the office.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Hey, do you know what I think is being overplayed? Honestly,
Casey Mice three innings and sixty two pitches, Correct me
if I'm wrong. Off the top of my head. He
gave up a hit in two walks? Correct a hit
in two walks? Is that what it was? And we're
gonna take out Casey Mize and rely on our bullpen

(09:09):
that everybody and their brother knows. We've all talked about it,
at least on this show for two months. Ain't the
same bullpen as last year? Not even close, not even close.
And you're going to tax said bullpen in the process.
Instead of trying to grind out three innings, you're gonna
ask them to go pitch six. Well, you get what

(09:30):
you get when you do something like that. And I'm
gonna take it a step further, and I'm being serious. Okay,
what kind of message is this sending to your team
and to your fan base? Okay, we talked about this yesterday.
Do you believe that the Tigers are gonna make a
concerted effort to trade Terrek Scooble in the offseason, I

(09:51):
think you better start grasping your arms around that. We
may have seen Tarek Scooble's last start as a Detroit Tiger.
I hope that that's not the case. I hope that
we have another start in just a few days. To
be honest with you, Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Does he come in today for an inning or two's
like Randy Johnson and Curt Schillings.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
That's a good question.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Yeah, if they need him.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
So if if we can agree that there's a chance
that Trek Skouble could be jettisoned out of here in November. Okay,
you just told everybody that the guy who will be
your ace, your number one, right in fairness, Casey Mais
will probably be the number one next.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
Year, right fleerty?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Okayes they make a trade.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Me, we don't trust more on that. In a second,
I promise we don't trust our guy. We don't trust
our guy because there are a couple of lefties coming
up in the third inning. Okay, cool? Hey, by the way,
by the way, one of our vaunted all stars. And again,
I know the limitations of Riley, I know how much

(10:59):
he's he's from strated people. I know the strange Look,
we play it every day. I know the strikeout. Can
we all agree in this? Is there a better hitter
on the Detroit Tigers than Riley Green at all?

Speaker 6 (11:10):
That's why I can understand it. But I absolutely do
not agree with it.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
So we're going to take our best hitter and throw
in a twenty eight year old journeyman.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
Yeah, in the seventh is this real? He possibly could
have got another at bet like later on in that game.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I just there is no window. It is an illusion. Hater,
KG you are evil, media bad trust me.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Yeah, I'm a hater.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
This is a.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Privilege, though, aren't you having fun?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
You want?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
This is a privilege? Man, I don't know where to start.
I'm telling you what is frustrating about this is it's
being made even more frustrated by there are more people
out there than you can shake a stick at that
are like one hundred percent behind these moves and calling

(12:08):
all of us in this room dumb. If you don't
believe me, go look at social media. It is. It
is mind boggling to me. You cannot justify this in
any way, shape or form. You if I sat here yesterday,
if I sat here yesterday exactly twenty four hours ago,
and I said, guys, I have a great idea. I

(12:31):
have a great idea. In the biggest a bat of
the season, the biggest at beat of the season, Riley
Green is up. There's a man on first and third
with one out in a one to one game. I'm
taking Riley Green out. Okay, go on, who are you

(12:51):
gonna put in there?

Speaker 6 (12:53):
It's my Jones, smartest guy and wrong right now.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
You got guy would kill me. If I said that,
kill me, you would absolutely kill me. But because a
j did it, great move didn't work. And I'm gonna
say the same thing you guys, I get it. I've
been frustrated with Riley. I had many a conversation. Dare

(13:20):
I say argument with Flannel Sam about Riley I have? Okay,
there are limitations there. I'm not using the word great. Okay.
I was frustrated yesterday and called him a great outfielder.
I'm not gonna call him a great outfielder. I think
he's a darn good outfielder. And he showed that moving
to left, and the numbers support it, and the catch probability.

(13:42):
Shit supports it. Okay, but Jamai Jones, Jamai Jones, that's
that's your biggest at bat of the year. Yeah, and
you're cool with Jami Jones.

Speaker 6 (13:55):
That's what it was. It's like in the regular season
this we don't even talk about this really, but in
the playoffs with the team struggling to get runners across
like they are. And once again, Sean, I agree with you.
We all know the numbers on Riley against lefties is
not good. He strikes out a ton this year. We
absolutely get all of that. He is unequivocally your best hitter.

(14:18):
You cannot take him out in that spot.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
They left fifteen guys on base.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Jesus, it's incredible.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Let's start with that'sible to start with this. Zach McKinstry
made a bad, bad, bad mistake trying to take the
extra base like they do. That's how they play station.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
To station works. This is how we got there. Man,
as you are a hater and evil, bad god.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
You can't get thrown out a third for a third
out or a first out. You can't, man, God, you can't.
And I still think he was safe. How do you
overturn that call?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
I still don't I don't, Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
I don't see how you overturn it. Anyway, That's where
it started, and basically that turned the whole game because
that made AJ make the move the next inning because
these guys can't get guys home, but station they can't
get that hit.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Why don't you understand Parker.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Medals is leading off? He doesn't even hit the ball. No,
last year Parker, I wrote in the text, Chaine, we
need twenty twenty four Parker medals. He ain't here anymore.
He's gone. I remember when he came back, you know,
at the end of the whenever he came back he
had that home run. Oh, maybe he's back.

Speaker 7 (15:41):
He's not.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
He's batting like less than two hundred great center fielder though,
can't hit a lick. He's your leadoff hitter and you
don't even pinch hit for him.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
I pray to god they flipped the script today. If
there was ever a time for good Jack to show up,
it's today, and they aren't going to listen. Good Jack
ain't even gonna win this game. Okay, yeah, with our lineup,
he needs to be great Jack today.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
He does.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Jack can't hit the baseball, You guys I don't care
what anybody says. Okay, the message that was sent to
this team yesterday, okay, with two of our campus prospects,
right one was taking number one overall. Riley was fourth overall.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
Yeah, fact check me. I think fourth overall.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
The message that aj Hinch said to everybody, most importantly
the guy in that room is frightening to me. I
don't trust two guys that we've been telling everybody our
center pieces of our franchise rising from the ashes. I
don't trust them in high leverage situations. Tell me I'm wrong,

(16:51):
that's true, but these aren't.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
Once again, these aren't Scott Harris guys.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
That's exactly it.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
And I think that's what is boiling down to.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Y'all better get ready for it.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
I mean I would better for it.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
I would rather prefer that than the direction this team
is going.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
We get Slay CHACONI today to hit against great name,
fantastic names. You gotta light him up, you gotta light
him up.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
They are two of twenty three and two playoff games
with runners in scoring position, two of twenty three.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Mass Do you understand you and I have known each
other for a long long time, right, and I I
really appreciate your shiny, happy mass side. I'm serious when
I say that.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Okay, thanks.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
At times it frustrates me, but I appreciate your shiny,
happy mass side.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Okay, I got my Land Jersey.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
You couldn't even say that without laughing. Like we are
totally We are basing everything on hope right now. Yes,
hope is not a strategy.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
They are getting guys on base. They are help Listen.
Cleveland had listen, Cleveland had five hits through a game
and seven innings yesterday. Five hits in sixteen innings in
the two games that we played him, and we can't

(18:17):
get over two freaking runs.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Do you know what is happening? There are a lot
of people in our fan base, whether you guys want
to admit it or not. Honest to God, I'm not
being funny when I say this. I don't care if
I piss you off.

Speaker 6 (18:32):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
I really, I truly don't. That doesn't mean anything to me.
I hope that you will take what I'm saying and go, Wow,
he's got a point. Even as you're calling me an
ass or dumb or whatever the case may be, there
are people in our fan base who have morphed into
exactly what, unfortunately, I think our franchise is doing right now.

(18:56):
You have become the smartest guy in the room. I
haven't looked at the chat. Okay, I don't know what
you guys are saying in the chat.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Chad says eighteen minutes in and we haven't said a
word about hovey oh, Hobvey.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
He's been the best hit in the playoff.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
What are the names? Scorching hot? Isn't that what McDonagh
called him, the scorching hot hobby bias.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
He's making the best contact on this listen.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Do you want me to say it again? I mean
he he in essence saved the season over the weekend. Yep,
I will I'll die on that.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
Hill, thank you.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
And he saved Run yesterday before.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
And you know what here I'm gonna go. I'm gonna
go to the Neil Maz argument. Okay, here's the Neil
Maz argument, all right, that it didn't come up yesterday.
I'm very Neil tried, but but like Maz didn't take
the bait. He remember he said that thing at night
And I'm like going, Maz, don't do it, Maz, don't
do it. And Maz didn't do it. I think probably
because the Yankees were on Okay, correct, all right, So

(19:49):
here here's that Hovey hasn't been good, Hobby hasn't lived
up to his contract, Hobvey has been huge down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yes, both things are true. Yep, both things are true.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Like okay, So back to the topic at hand. All right,
you guys, many of you have turned into exactly what
this franchise is trying to tell you that they are
the smartest guys in the room. I'm gonna say this
one time, and I don't know if anybody's arguing this.
I don't. I'm sure we'll hear from them. Great, all right,

(20:23):
Jami Jones or Riley Green, who you got?

Speaker 6 (20:27):
Here's people arguing it in the chat. And like you
always say, Sean Fax can be mean sometimes, but shout
out to a mister act like it in the chat.
He's been very very vocal this morning, insanity, doing the
same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Jami actually should have been walked to, which I do
agree with. The ump did screw him on that. I
agree with that, but but he got ribbed by a

(20:50):
bad car. Riley doesn't do that.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Okay, so let me let me say this is gonna
strike out. Do you know what I'm gonna say. I
can't blame you for saying what Maz just said. I
can't blame you for saying that that Riley's going to fail.
I can't. Okay. Would you also agree with me that
we don't.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
Know for sure? Gives you your best I'm keeping them.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Okay, So now I'm being reasonable here. I don't know
for I totally understand why you think he would strike out,
all right, I totally understand that. Okay. Do you know
what I know? Definitively, this is not an opinion, This
is not an observation. This is a factual, past tense event. Okay,

(21:34):
regardless of a bad call or not. Jami Jones struck
out swinging what thanks for playing?

Speaker 8 (21:45):
Like?

Speaker 3 (21:46):
What do you want me to say? At that point
in time? And again, this is damned if you do,
damned if you don't. If Jamai Jones comes through in
that moment, Okay, we're all sitting back on Holy shit,
Jesus witch, can you believe he did that? And if
my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle. He

(22:08):
struck out swinging. I don't care about anything. If you
make that move, gosh damn it, you better hope he's right,
because if he ain't, you know what people are gonna do.
They're gonna shit on him, not just around here, but nationwide.
They killed aj yesterday. Literally, the talking heads on television were, Okay,

(22:36):
sh sh can't you guys see that? In what world
is Jamia Jones a journeyman, a twenty eight year old
journeyman with two hundred and fifty five career at bats.
In what world is he a better option than Riley Green?
Listen to what you're I'm begging you. I know you're

(22:57):
so desirous. You want to believe that this is real.
These guys are brain trust. These are the guys that
are gonna finally give you the championship that you haven't seen. Okay,
and and again I'm not saying fire either one of them.
I'm not at that point. Okay, I'm not there. Just
admit they.

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Fucked up.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Because they did, both of them.

Speaker 9 (23:25):
Yeah, one guy thinks it's a great idea to get
Charlie Martin and the sheriff in here. The other guy
thinkses a great idea to pinch hit a twenty eight
year old journeyman for Riley Green, and I'm dumb.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
If I had my head and thought, again, you don't
win by the way, you don't win full Jack Nicholson
this morning man. Once again. I mean, if if Riley
goes up there and he strikes out, then so be it.
But we often tout Riley as one the best player
on the team and one of the best outfielders in baseball.
You have to let him sink or swim in that moment.

(24:06):
I have often said that Riley, I love him. He's
a great player. He's got my last name. I don't
know if he's a one A on this team. I
don't know if he should be your best player on
this team. And in that moment, you let him go
out there and he sinks or swims on his own ability.
That's that's just where I see it with it.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Neil rule is the king of math. Neil Rule. Are
you familiar with Neil Rule? Are you guys? Are you
guys familiar with Neil Rule? You can check him out
at ten o'clock today. Neil loves to say how he
bets on math, right Neil Neil says this So in
our chat yesterday, I asked Neil knowing this about my

(24:45):
friend Neil Rule, I said, hey, Neil, it's a factual
statement to say that you will side with math every time, right, Yes,
that's a fair statement. Okay, Neil, let me ask you
a question. Jami Jones or Riley Green? How quickly did
Neil respond to that? Riley Green?

Speaker 8 (25:03):
That was it?

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Like you guys, like, step back, take a step back.
I need to do this for my own sanity. Take
a step back. Take a deep breath. Okay, listen to
what you're arguing. It was a good decision to take
out Riley Green and pinch hit him with Jami Jones.

(25:28):
You want to die on that hill, that's where you're
gonna plant the flag.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Cool? Hey, Game three's tonight or this afternoon, three o'clock
this afternoon. Obviously we'll get your take. I I I'm
not joking, know what I said in the chat, Like
I didn't. I didn't want to come in today.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Ah, you know what.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
I haven't had a day off since his dumb shows.
I don't want to deal with this today because there
are people out there, Okay, media bad You guys are
just looking at the negative. What the hell's wrong with you?
I agree with every single move AJ Hinch makes. AJ

(26:09):
Hinch is not infallible. Scott Harris is not infallible. Sean
Belegian is not infallible. Tom Masway is not infallible. KG
JB is not infallible. You can still like mas and
disagree with something he said. I know that's crazy. I
know that's crazy, but you can still like him. Mas

(26:33):
you're my guy. But that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Sean,
you're my guy. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Aj You're my manager. I think you're one of the
best managers in the league. I think what you've done
with this cast. Okay, not so good players as KG,
as you said when I'm touting Riley Green is my

(26:53):
best hitter. There are some limitations with this roster. Okay,
I still think you're one of the best managers. I
can't wait for you to come back. Okay. I am
not in any way, shape or form saying fire you.
All right, you were awful yesterday, awful, multiple decisions awful.

(27:14):
It's okay, It's okay.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Even Aaron Boone isn't pinch hitting for John Carlos Stanton,
although he either hits a home run or he strikes out.
That's just the way it is.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
That's it's funny that you say that. One of my
buddies sent me a text last night and he goes,
could you imagine Roberts taking out Mookie Bets? Mookie Bets
has had a miserable.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Season, right, He had six hits in two games.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Could you imagine? Could you imagine that?

Speaker 2 (27:40):
No, you can't imagine it, Mookie MOOKI, Hey.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Dude, you're my dog. We'll see tomorrow if it's necessary.
If not, we'll see you next series. But at this
point in time, I got you by Jone's sitting on
the betch man. Sorry, we both know this hasn't been
your kind of year. We both know you struggling a
little bit, all right. So I got Jamai Jones sitting

(28:04):
on the bench.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
All right, Jamaike, pick up your stick, get up there
and shout out, mister act like he's standing on business man. Stop.
Our core, including Green, hasn't performed at all all caps.
Riley is more talented than Jamai, but Jamia has performed
better than Riley versus left hand pitching.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
All I can't see. I can't. I can't figure out
why all these smart people in Major League Baseball have
missed out on the greatness of Jami Jones.

Speaker 6 (28:30):
I know it's crazy.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
I can't.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
It's crazy. You can't get you you you said it
right there, Bro Riley is more talented. You have to
go with more talent in a playoff situation, if then
than fucking Jamai.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
One of your best player a chance to win the
game for you. Give your best player a chance to
turn his turn his season around, because he just might
get that hit you need.

Speaker 6 (28:57):
You can't take the bet out of his hands.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
See but because Jami Jones with his two hundred and
fifty five career at bats, because in one hundred and
four at bats this year he hit two eighty eight
with a nine to seventy ops, that makes sense. Will
you stop for a second and listen to what you're saying, Like,
that's that's crazy, it's it's it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Do you think Stephen Vote was shaking in his boots?
Did you heard? You heard her aj earlier? He's like, yeah,
Steven didn't think I was gonna hit for Riley for
Greenee as he calls him. He didn't. Hey, Stephen Vote
just looked at it at his pitching coach. Hey, they're
taking green out, let's go.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Well, he was so terrified. What you didn't see The
cameras didn't show it. I saw the secret feed is
he was calling for the bullpen immediately.

Speaker 10 (29:47):
Yeah, he didn't.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
He didn't know what to do with you, Mike coming on?
Oh shit, what am I gonna do it? They didn't
hit the riding of that. Oh shit, Tomi Jones, whatever
will we do?

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Probably laughed. They had to be laughing in that dugout.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Listen to what you're saying.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
Yeah, I'll smarter himself.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Okay, Hey, we'll get some of your comments. We'll look
ahead to Game three. I'll go pick up my hat. Yeah,
I've been without it for a half hour. At commercial commercials, Right,
we don't need any commercials. I'm gonna I'm gonna calm
down now, Okay, I'm gonna try to talk logically. All right,
I'm gonna try. Unfortunately, there are maniacs out there. There are.

(30:31):
I mean, you're I'm sorry, I have I mean this
with all love and respect. You're a maniac. If you
think that was a good decision.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
You are.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
You're trying way too hard to be the smartest guy
in the room, way too hard, way too hard.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
Get out of It's almost like he was managing out
of desperation in a game.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Get your head, get your head out of the page.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
Gee, this is why I keep saying, what kind of
messages did you send to your team, to both individuals,
but your team and your fan base.

Speaker 6 (30:59):
Yesterday wasn't a good one.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
That's what that message was to me. Yeah, oh shit,
I don't know what to do. Cool, Hey JB, where
are we going?

Speaker 10 (31:09):
We got to hear from Planet Fitness and then artin Jakes,
But first let me clear up the super chest because
everyone is chiming in right now. Shout out to our guy,
Freddie Feild three one three one and in. I'd rather
watch two girls and one Cup than the Tigers right now.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Shit, Okay, it's a chore, guys, You guys, can we
be honest?

Speaker 6 (31:30):
It started off good? Yeah it is horribly.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
It started off grace here, come in and the break?

Speaker 6 (31:36):
What that is?

Speaker 3 (31:37):
You guys can be It's been a chore for a
long time. We all know it. Watching the Tigers has
been a chore. For a long time, and I hate
saying that. And I told Maz, I confess my sins
to Maz. Maz was talking about the Yankees, and I said, Maz,
I'm sorry I didn't turn it on. I went to
Haddonfield last night. Yeah, I had more enjoyment watching Michael
Myers kill a bunch of teenagers than I kept watching baseball.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Doctor Loomis to stop.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Poor doctor was bracketed. Brackett was such an asshole to him,
man like, such an asshole. Oh, he understood it what
his daughter got butchered. It's amazing how that works out.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
You were right, Doc, But he should have said it.
But you know what he did.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
Instead.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
He looked at him and said, damn you you let
him out. I'd have fucking punched him right in his mouth.
Your daughter, Now you got a fat lit that.

Speaker 6 (32:30):
You don't know.

Speaker 10 (32:31):
Michael, we got two dollars from Jordan Lionheart. And he
says in quotes, but let's keep in single A.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
Medals over Green.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
He's our leadoff guy. Yeah, where's Austin Meadows?

Speaker 6 (32:46):
I get the defensive portion of it, but come on,
you can't have him leading off man.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Okay, go on, we got four.

Speaker 10 (32:58):
Greg twenty twenty five. He's a J should flip the
batting lineup, Hobby leading off and he.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Was bunting it And I am all in Hobby, Hobby
and Hobby we trust Hobby, Lula.

Speaker 6 (33:12):
Is that what you Saidelujah? He's making the best contact
so far in the playoffs, and that's that's.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Saying planet we live on?

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Right?

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Planet?

Speaker 6 (33:25):
Do we live on the best contact of any one?

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Dorty Hobby bias came out of Shae McDonough's mouth, Sean
McDonough's mouth yesterday, did I can't blame him. He's tremendous.
He really is. Yeah, he's tremendous.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
I can't blame him.

Speaker 10 (33:39):
We got four ninety nine from Chief it Hips. He
sends in one to fifteen with ri I s P
yesterday has a J basically grasping a straws with these
hand scratching moves and it's.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Like it t Hips, That's exactly what it was like.
It's okay to say that we have a less than roster,
you guys. AJ has done a masterful job getting these
guys to win, you know, a playoff spot in a
less than division. He has all right, it has its limitations.

(34:11):
You made it worse with head scratching moves. Yeah, that's it,
Like he hit the nail on top of the head.
That's it.

Speaker 10 (34:20):
Okay, anything else Jordan lionheard another two dollars. He sends
in any adversity and the Tigers turn into James Franklin.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Hold, there's more validity to that than anybody wants to.

Speaker 10 (34:32):
Ma, we got another five dollars from Jordan Lionheart. I
saw Maz the other day and he was showing me
pictures he took at the end of the hundred year
warm Bot Mass is an amazing Jesus man.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
He's the polaroid.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
He was one of the instant pictures. Oh yeah, the
instant picture has been around for about five seconds.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
They had the giant ass cameras with the giant bulbs.
You go blind and like damn okay.

Speaker 10 (35:07):
Oh and uh we got one more hero. We grab
it real quick. Oh where we are from Dante one
five to one he sends in. He says, ha ha,
I'm in danger. Ralph wickham as Airban Detroit Tigers and
Cincinnati Bingles fan right now.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
But hey, we have Thursday night football.

Speaker 10 (35:25):
I'll look for into everybody night football.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Got Yankees Red Sox after this game.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
I hope, I hope to God. Unfortunately, this series has
gone exactly the way that I said it would. They
would win with school ball, they would lose game two.
When they would lose Game three, I pray to God.

Speaker 6 (35:43):
I'm wrong.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
I prayed to God honestly. And it's Cleveland. That's what
makes it infinitely worse.

Speaker 6 (35:48):
And it's not getting any easier. You gotta see Seattle.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
If you do this series, both teams getting in easy,
both teams are going to be beat up for Seattle.
Whoever survives.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
There is no window. Oh, it is an illusion. This
is a privilege. Aren't you having fun?

Speaker 6 (36:08):
You should be happy you can get in October?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
What hobby and center today? But have a center?

Speaker 3 (36:13):
You know what we should do? We should like put
him in a Jami Jones jersey too, so he can
get up twice there. He is the secret weapon and
it's really hobby sitting.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
There like the Scooby Doo when they caught the Was
it for you lousy kids?

Speaker 6 (36:28):
Right?

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Take the mask off.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Joe Tomi Jones has two hundred and fifty five career
at bats going back to twenty twenty and I got
people like he's the secret weapon.

Speaker 6 (36:40):
Yeah, especially in the playoffs. Come on, he writes his
story in October.

Speaker 10 (36:44):
I give.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
He writes this story in October.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
So you know what I did after the game. This
is a true story. This is not only am I
using this as a cheesy segue, but this is a
true story. I was so frustrated after the game. I
decided I was going to the gym yesterday, and Fitness
is about a mile and a half away from my house,
and I needed to take out my frustrations. Okay, there
was no justice to be had, so instead I went

(37:07):
and pounded some weights. And you can do that as well.

(38:27):
the Lions are gonna win, you better be at Art
and Jakes.

Speaker 5 (38:31):
Why do we fight?

Speaker 11 (38:33):
We fight to protect the innocent, to hold the.

Power, protect the unaccountable, to.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Hey, guys, we like simple stuff. We're creatures of habit.
There's a reason why I've been going to Lady Jane's
for a long time now, over twenty years. I'm the
type of guy I like uncomplicated. Okay, I walk in,
I sign in, and like that they clean me up.
Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men open ten to eight, seven

(40:54):
days a week. You could walk in any time. Lady
Jane's Haircuts for Men. It's wicked awesome.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Ooh we got three game threes today. Good day for baseball.
Love it.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
I have to change my mindset because I like KG.
Can I talk to you for a second?

Speaker 2 (41:14):
You sure can.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
I'm broken right now.

Speaker 6 (41:17):
Yeah, I've told you.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
I know I'm brought you. Last week, I joined you.
I joined. I am tired and I don't like it,
and I think what put me over the top was
just I'm sorry. The blind allegiance two bad mistakes is unbelievable.
It's you can still be all in and not agree
with what Scott Harris did. You can still be all

(41:42):
in and not agree, JB. I bring up I bring
up the D'Antonio thing all the time. I thank the
Lord every day for Mark D'Antonio.

Speaker 8 (41:49):
I do.

Speaker 3 (41:50):
I'm serious. I thank the Lord every day for Market D'Antonio.
Mark D'Antonio was not infallible. Mark Dantonio made a horrible
mistake deciding that it would be in the team's best
interest to put Andrew Maxwell back in for a critical
series against Notre Dame instead of Connor Cook. It was

(42:10):
a horrible, terrible mistake. Do you know how much I
love Mark Antonio? People like MAZ hate Mark Antonio. That's
that's That's how I know. Mark Antonio made his mark.
And you know what, I'm still all in. I will
revere that man till the day I die. Okay, but
he was not infallible. And you can still believe in

(42:33):
the general direction of this team. I don't know how,
but you can still believe in the general direction of
this team. You can still think that Scott Harris is
the guy to get us there. You can still think
that aj Hinch is one of the best managers in
Major League Baseball. I do, I really truly do. Okay,
But yesterday was a bad day at the office, It's
okay to say that your skin's not gonna melt.

Speaker 2 (42:59):
You know what. They would talking about extension for him. Uh,
they didn't get it done before the playoffs. They said
they're working on it. I'm gonna tell you this, if
they lose today, he just might go to Houston. He
just might go back to Houston.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Can I ask that if if we are all working
under the assumption that Scott Harris wants to get his guys.
Aj Hinch's guy.

Speaker 6 (43:25):
No, No, But I mean, if you're going to hear
it a guy, I mean, aj Hinch is one of
the better ones you can in.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
Couldn't agree more, couldn't agree more, couldn't agree. But but
at the same time, KG, I'm broken right now and
I have to keep reminding myself. So I apologize if
I say this multiple times out loud. There is a
Game three today and we have a chance to vanquish
the dragon.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
We do, we do, boy pain in the ass. They
are a major pain in the as. They don't have
a bad at bat. They don't, I mean, they don't. Dan.
When I hear Dan Dickerson say basically that Stephen Kuan's
a pain in the ass. He basically said that, and

(44:11):
then he kind of laughed because Dan is a straightforward,
straight shooting guy, one of the best, and he had
to laugh because what he wanted to say is this
mfor you can't get this m effort to at least
stop fouling balls off.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
They all do, and he does it with that look
on his face like he knows what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Yes, I'm gonna just keep you pitching. I'm gonna let you.
I'm gonna wear you down sixty two pitches for myes,
and AJ knew if he goes out for the next inning,
he's probably gonna have to throw forty pitches to get
to get through the inning, because God forbid, he can't

(44:55):
see the third time a team comes up, although he would.
It's terrific against Boston over the weekend and the start
prior to that that was different.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Though that's potentially our number one starter. Did I mention
that that's potentially our number one starter next year? And
you just told him his teammates in the entire world,
I don't have faith in this guy because there are
a couple of lefties coming up in the lineup.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
They had seven lefties playing cool. That wasn't gonna change.

Speaker 5 (45:20):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
That's awesome, that's fantastic. All right, I'm gonna go around
the room. I'm gonna be very calm. Let's try to
put our emotions away. KG. Do the Tigers win today?
Don't ask me that, man, Okay, I think I know
the answer.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
Mas.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Do the Tigers win today?

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Hell? Yeah, they win. You were going to say they're
gonna probably score at least five today, at least five.

Speaker 6 (45:43):
Well, you know, why?

Speaker 3 (45:44):
Can I tell you why?

Speaker 2 (45:45):
Slay Chacney to my Jones.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
Is going to be in the starting lineup. That's why.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
Hopefully the lineup will come out before we're off.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
The I would put Jones bias two three. That's what
that's just mean, That's what I would.

Speaker 6 (45:58):
At this point, what do you got to lose?

Speaker 3 (46:01):
I know you and I were the only ones that
said that they wouldn't win this series.

Speaker 10 (46:04):
Uh, I'm sticking to my initial predictions. Sadly, like I said,
we had Game one, two and three, Tigers are going home.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
Sorry Tigers and two sadly Tigers and too.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
Yeah, okay, sadly I feel the same way. I hope,
gosh damn, I hope I'm wrong. I want you guys
to tie on me, and I know I'm gonna leave
you alone mock the hell out of me tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (46:27):
But it's not like they went up there and just
it was a pitching masterclass. They got on base, and
that's what's the most irritating. We have had the same
problems for two years now. We had the same problem
last year on the miracle run. Oh yeah, the pitching
is great, the bullpen is great. The offense is what
the fuck we were concerned about the whole time, And
it's just it's frustrating, bro Like going into a series

(46:49):
knowing that this team is on borrowed time. It seems
like it's only a matter of time before they get clipped.
It's unfortunate, man, But I'm not I'm in agreeance, man.
I think they should go in a different direction this offseason.
Whether that consists of trading school well, whether that consist
of breaking up this young core, maybe a little bit
of both. You you have to do something. You cannot

(47:10):
just continue like this and think that adding younger guys.

Speaker 3 (47:14):
On to this team is gonna make this time It's
gonna work. Though, I don't we listen. Randy Smith has
been a part of baseball franchises.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
He's one.

Speaker 3 (47:23):
He's one of those baseball field rats, right, he's he's
been around the game forever. Nobody, nobody knows talent like Alavila,
like you know, with with guys like this, how can
we fail? And then you wonder why people like me
sit back and say I can't say you're wrong, and
I won't say you're wrong, Okay, but can you at

(47:45):
least give me that this is the ship we've heard
for a quarter century.

Speaker 6 (47:50):
Can just give me that, at least at this point,
try something different. If mcgonacle is so great, and what
he's done, you know, and the miners up until this
point is so great, why won't you him on the playoffs?
Cleveland did it? The laughter here, Yeah he got on
base somehow.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (48:06):
Like I'm just saying, man, like, they gotta do something different.
It's been two years of the same shit.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
You see that guy behind you, Sean, Do I have
to look? Yeah? Look, he ain't gonna be here next year, No, no, no, no,
his days my ball, my buddy Paul up in Almont
and Dryden. He'll be very happy. He'll be partying.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
I remember KG, you and I talking about this. Like
back in February, remember when Scott basically said, okay, this
is this is up to him, like this is up
to him. They put pressure on him and I I
kind of thought, I kind of thought that maybe that
was the end of the line. I don't think he'll
I think that they're gonna look to jettison some of
the guys out of here. I do. I think Scott

(48:47):
is really going to put his mark on this team.
And Lynn Henning came out with a tweet yesterday and said,
you guys, you guys better be ready for some changes.
And I know we've suggested that for a cup weeks
and I think it's going to come to fruition something.
I think Scott Harris is really going to flip this roster.

Speaker 6 (49:07):
I'm all for it. I'll welcome it.

Speaker 3 (49:09):
These guys aren't going anywhere. If your ultimate goal is
to win a World Series, okay, and that's what it
should be every year, right, I'm sorry. I think as
a as a fan base, we have put up with
shit for far too long. That should be your goal.
And this is why I go back to say, if
that's my goal, if that's my goal, and that's your goal,

(49:30):
and that's what you're building up to. Do not insult
my limited intelligence by telling me there is no Schooble window.
Don't do that. You are handing away the best pitcher
in baseball, a guy who put on a historic, historic
game one performance two days ago, and you're gonna send him.

Speaker 5 (49:49):
Out of here.

Speaker 6 (49:50):
He may have to be a martyr.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
I agree with you, because other way, you know, he
is going to be a market signing him.

Speaker 6 (49:57):
Listen, I'm won school here more than any it just
like all of us want Schooble here as Detroit Tigers fans,
but we have to just face the reality. This organization
has not shown any sign that they want to keep
this man, that they want to pay him the highest
pitcher in baseball type money. So at this point we
got to look for alternatives because letting him walk, I

(50:18):
will continue to say, it is male fucking practice. You
cannot do it. So if that, if this is the
best way to exponentially make your team better all the
way around, then Schoogle has to go. And I don't
want to. I hate to say that, but it's the truth.
You gotta go on to different You can't keep doing
the same thing and expecting a different result. This team
has peaked.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
I hope that they trade him before the season starts
because I don't want it hanging around all season. And
I'm serious when I say.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
That, I hear you, I do.

Speaker 6 (50:46):
I hope they the price goes down the longer you wait.
I love what Neil said. It's like a car, a
brand new car off the lot. It's depreciating in value
as soon as you pulled it off, and once you
get into the season, he comes to rental at that point,
like and they gotta do something, man, I just we
can't go another year like this, and they cannot just

(51:07):
be prospects either. You have to go out and get
actual major league talent that will facilitate this team going
forward for when your young guys come to this team.
This is great.

Speaker 3 (51:18):
JB. Can you can you put up that tweet that
you just put us. I don't know who this gentleman is,
but it's great because these are you guys. I want
you to look at this because I'm sorry, Uh, I
know a guy who's been saying things like this for
a while, and I'm not joking. I said this last
week and I think some of the guys went and
did some research. I had multiple people tell me adamantly.

(51:42):
One guy blocked me, like like literally blocked me, and
the freeze the screen froes for a second. One guy
blocked me and told me I was dumb and I
didn't know anything about baseball, because I had the audacity
to say the audacity to say that Scott Harris made
the team worse at the deadline by adding Charlie Morton

(52:05):
and Chris Paddock.

Speaker 6 (52:05):
He did because they're not on the team. One didn't
make the playoff roster, the other one.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
The other one got dfaied. We didn't get a bat.
We added in the interest of being fair. Finnegan was
a fantastic pickup. It is not Scott's fault that he
got hurt.

Speaker 2 (52:20):
Yeah, why was he in in the freaking sixth innings?

Speaker 3 (52:22):
But Finnegan's fifteen point one innings or whatever the hell
it was verse the eighty two innings of shit from
two guys that aren't even part of the team. Right now,
how do you argue that?

Speaker 6 (52:33):
How do you argue that.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
Dan, well done, well done, well done? Facts are mean
you guys, That's the reality. I didn't do any of that.
That's none of that is my fault. None of that
is my fault, right there, None of it, None of
that is my fault. Why are you mad at me?

Speaker 6 (52:58):
Polcy Wall said he was going to pitch foot guaranteed.
I heard that.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
I heard that, uh Cobb has a bullpen session forthcoming though, good,
So that's what that's what I heard.

Speaker 6 (53:11):
Maybe Reeselson can say he's taking his fifteen million in retiring,
gets your body worked on later. Right?

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Are they better if well, if is still on this team.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
We said it day one. We said it day one
that that that was going to hurt this team more
than anybody.

Speaker 6 (53:27):
I don't think it would him and Job going down
was the worst thing that could have happened.

Speaker 5 (53:30):
To this, to this Tigers team.

Speaker 6 (53:32):
Absolutely, We'll never know. With Job, I think he would
have been better this year. He was already traded that way.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
I hope.

Speaker 3 (53:39):
What do you have about a buck fifty whip though?

Speaker 6 (53:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:41):
Yeah, but he can't live life like that? Yeah, oh yeah,
I'm not. But he has stuff though, Like I hope,
you know, I'm not throwing him out like you know what.
I don't know if this year he would have been
the help though, I feel does that make sad?

Speaker 6 (53:56):
That's fair. It's fair to say that. Yeah, just we
didn't get a chance to release.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
I'm not saying throw him out. Just like again, I'm
not saying fire a Jane fire Scott Harris. The blind
allegiance is mind boggling to me. It is okay to
look at what that tweet said and said, wow, that's
a bad look. It is, but I'm still happy Scott's
my general manager. It's okay to say that, and it is.
We've been talking about all It's okay to say I

(54:21):
like aj Hinch. Listen, this is me talking. I think
he's one of the best managers in the game. He
fucked up big yesterday, he did, we fucked up big.
That's that. Like, It's okay, all right, we have Alex
coming up in a couple minutes, right, Oh yeah, okay,
so let's try to this is funny, stay on time.
We're not even close to stand on time, but we'll

(54:42):
try to keep Alex at the proper time. JB. Where
do you want to go right now? Oh?

Speaker 10 (54:47):
We gotta hear from less Stanford and then Sharring's heating
in the air.

Speaker 6 (54:50):
Professor.

Speaker 10 (54:51):
Let me clear up this one super chat we got
in from Greg twenty twenty five cents In four ninety nine,
he said, if Tigers get it earlyly put Schoogl to
close the game, what do we think about that?

Speaker 3 (55:01):
I don't care win this series. Yeah, at this point,
I'll worry about Saturday and Sunday and next series. After
this series happens, I'll.

Speaker 6 (55:10):
Worry about if it.

Speaker 2 (55:11):
Oh, you can bring myes back sixty pitches. It's like
a bullpen session.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
So maybe you know what, maybe that maybe that was
maybe maybe he's playing chess. Yeah, oh ye of little faith?

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Do you know why I did that combo?

Speaker 3 (55:32):
Because he's coming back tomorrow back. I know Jack can't
give me more than five innings, right, so I'm gonna
get four to him, and then I'm coming back with
my We're saved.

Speaker 6 (55:43):
You watch, We're saved.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
You watch.

Speaker 6 (55:46):
You'll see you alright where we live?

Speaker 10 (55:53):

All right, Wolverine Thursday. You know how we roll right
around this time every Thursday. We are lucky, we are
fortunate to be graced with the presence of our Woodwards
Sports Network Michigan Beat reporter, Alex z. Let's welcome him
into Alex. Alex always a pleasure man. Thanks for your time, Yeah,

(01:00:40):
g having me. All Right, Alex, let's start with this. Okay,
I haven't seen much of Wisconsin. I'm gonna tell you
point blank. Okay, the Luke Fickle era isn't exactly working
so far there. I think they're five hundred. They're under
five hundred in the Big Ten conference. What's the vibe

(01:01:01):
about Fickle right now is is you know, he's been
at the Helm for a few years of a program
that you know, has kind of prided itself on flipping
things around under Barry Alvarez Low thirty five years ago.

Speaker 8 (01:01:16):
Yeah, the vibes in medisine around Luke fickl Arlow right now,
in all honestly, a lot of former players and just
longtime fans are speaking out about him abandoning what Barry
Alvarez and then guys like Beolma and Paul Chris continue
to build because when he initially came to Wisconsin, he
tried to turn them into an air raid team, which
is just one the great coaching mistakes of this decade
in all honesty, when Wisconsin I had so much success,

(01:01:38):
you know, running it, developing off in the alignement, just
to try to move all away from that, and they've
had very limited success under him because of that. So
right now, the vibes are low coming into this weekend.
They have some uncertainty of who will actually be starting
at quarterbacks. They're transfer maryln Billy Edwards got hurt last
game against Maryland. The one thing that really have for
them that's been keeping them in games a lot the season.

(01:01:59):
So their defense is pretty good. They actually at the
top rushing defense in college football right now, and defensive
coordinator Mike Tressel, who's Jim Trestle's nephew, has been doing
a good job, you know, keeping them in games and
making it tough to beat.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Hey Sharon Moore return. What's not gonna look like? Is
it gonna be any different? I mean the week off
obviously after Nebraska win, but Sharon says he can't wait
to get back on that sideline.

Speaker 8 (01:02:23):
Yeah, I think you're gonna see Michigan extra fired up
this weekend a have Sharon return. That players all talk
and coaches all talk about how much they missed him
in the one week and he was away and just
kind of how how weird it felt without him really,
So I think that's just gonna play a little factor.
It's not gonna be There's not gonna be any massive
differences like you didn't notice any massive differences in the
game with fifth being the head coach. But I think
you're gonna see the players play a little ex are

(01:02:44):
harder this weekend because of it.

Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
Oh sorry, hey Alex, good to talk to you again.
And I just want to ask this because I know
we're still a couple of weeks out, not trying to
overlook Wisconsin, but I think we all feel like Michigan
should win that game going forward with Shari back at
the Helm and them facing UFC coming up in a
couple of weeks. Do you think that's a bookmark game
for Sharon Moore. Would you consider that maybe a must

(01:03:10):
win to kind of keep some of the detractors from
you know, boring against him.

Speaker 8 (01:03:15):
Yeah, I mean also I just think for the on
the whole looking at the whole season viewpoint, USC is
a super important game because we've already dropped one to Oklahoma.
Last year, No nine to three teams got in the playoffs,
so you really have to stay above ten and two
to get in. And so if you don't beat USC,
you're pretty much leaving your season enough to winning out
and beating Ohio State, which is one hundred percent possible,

(01:03:36):
but you just don't leave it that way. So it's
just gonna be a tough match. You're going on the road,
You're playing a team who kind of plays some opposite
style football as you do.

Speaker 6 (01:03:43):
It is very good for Michigan.

Speaker 8 (01:03:44):
How USC lost Illinois last week and then kind of
showed that playing a more typical Big ten style game
can beat them. But Illinois was able to get it
done on USC both on the ground and through the air,
which USC's defense had been looking better. But to your point,
Sharon has been doing great on the road throughout his career,
or his home record was actually a little worse last
year than his road records. So I think I think

(01:04:07):
that's all they need to do is Yeah, USC is
gonna be a massive game, and they'll keep them und going.
And if you do beat USC, then as much as
this unfortunate to stay in this air college football, if
you went out, you can or you can win out
except Ohio States still limping to the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
At ten to two.

Speaker 6 (01:04:23):
Yeah, no, I absolutely agree. And as we approach the
halfway mark of the season here, what has been one
thing that has impressed you about this Michigan team and
what is one thing that you've maybe been disappointed by
that you still want to see improve going forward.

Speaker 11 (01:04:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:04:38):
One thing that I've really been impressed about is actually
this offensive line, which I might adoubt about it coming
into the season, but they've been doing really good. I mean,
last game was obviously the best of Nebraska, just an
absolute showing all round on the ground by them, not
only generally explosive plays, with them being able to sustain
a long drive at the end of the game that
chew off at eight and a half minutes o'clock and
then get a field goal to pretty much ice the

(01:04:59):
game form miss again, and then also the fact that
they've had three different units play this year starting and
they've only allowed one second game, which definitely having a
mobile quarterback like Bryce has helped that. But I've been
just super impressed by the offensive line and the growth
they've shown. The thing I want to see that improve
the most is eventually the receivers need to step up.

(01:05:19):
Michigan is just having awful time with drops and they're
just not helping out Bryce at all. So that's probably
the one area I'm really looking forward to some improvement
later in the years, seeing the receivers not only be
able to catch them all better, but hopefully get some
better separation on their use.

Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
Alex ze kindly joining us to make sure you follow
him on Twitter does a fantastic job. I love your
take on the playoff as well, Alex. I know everybody
and their brother assumes well nine and three might get
us in. I eventually it's going to happen. I think
it's going to be a herculean effort for somebody to
do it. So I think that's a pretty strong take,
of course, brought to us by the Skinny Butcher look

(01:05:53):
to talk all this season was going to be about Bryce.
It's been talked about for the last year. It's going
to be continued to talk about what are you seeing
in this kid's step? You know, I'm one of those believers. Listen,
he's a freshman quarterback. What he is at the beginning
of the year, what he is at the middle of
the year, what he is at the end of the
year are gonna be three different things. What have you
seen out of this progression of this young man?

Speaker 8 (01:06:16):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if this says much progression,
but just his poise great for a freshman. He doesn't
look ever rattled or under too much pressure or panic.
There are a few developments he still needs to get
work on, though. He needs to be able to take
someone of it off his short passes because that's been
causing a lot of drops how fast he's been throwing it.
And then there's sometimes he's been just kind of trusting
his pre snap reads too much and just forcing the

(01:06:38):
ball to a receiver. But the place we have seen
growth is earlier in the season against New Mexico, he
looked like he was just explicitly told not to run
or he just always wanted to make the play throwing
rather than using his legs, where in the past few
games we've seen him be more willing to kind of
just pull it down and do it himself and get
the first downs to keep the chain and moving. So
I think as long as he keeps getting that decisiveness

(01:06:59):
once the balls are already snapped and being able to
make good decisions, that's just a great sign for the
next two years to come for Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
I'm sorry, go ahead, hey, I was gonna go side
note here on the Michigan State game. Michigan State Nebraska
Nebraska an eleven and a half point favorite against the Spartans.
I think Michigan State's got a shot in this game.

Speaker 6 (01:07:20):
Yeah, I mean they do.

Speaker 8 (01:07:21):
I think my big problem with this game is I
think it's just a bad matchup for Michigan State. Nebraska's
great at Michigan State's two weaknesses. They're great at throwing
the ball with from Michigan State's defense, I believe is
about one hundred and seventeenth in the country and passing
yards per game allowed, and then also Michigan State's pass defense.
Of the weakness of their defense and Dylan Ryola obviously

(01:07:43):
did a great job. Begins to Michigan is a very
good quarterback. So I just think ultimately, I think if
Michigan State finds a way to run on this small
Nebraska defensive line, they can get it done. But other
than that, I think just Nebraska's strengths outweigh Michigan State's weaknesses.

Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
One more thing before we let you going again, make
sure you follow Alexy does a fantastic job. Shout out
to him in the Skinny Butcher. I I have kind
of an off the wall hypothetical question for you that
I'm intrigued to hear the answer to. Let's say it's
the biggest play of the game against Wisconsin and your
best quarterback as a guy by the name of Bryce Underwood.

(01:08:19):
Is there any world where you would say, Nah, I
don't want Bryce Underwood to take this play. Let's throw
Chase herb Street out there. Is there any world where
that would happen? Not that that's coming out of nowhere, Okay,
just some thought in my head. Is there any world
that would say, Man, I think Chase Herbstreet might be
better in this situation.

Speaker 8 (01:08:37):
Does Bryce Underwood happen to have a head or neck
or knee injury. That's because if that's the case in
his long term health, then maybe. But outside of that,
I don't really see any world where we are we
would go chasing or Bryce.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
That's a bush. That's amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
What if your coach went the stands?

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
That almost sounds logical. You better stop with that, Alex,
You better stop with that stuff. Riley Green says, hello.
By the way, Alex, he wanted to make sure to
send his regards. Sorry for doing that to you, buddy. Hey,
we appreciate you man. You do a fantastic shop for
people out there. If you aren't familiar with Alex E's work,
he very graciously joins us every week and you can

(01:09:15):
see his stuff on Twitter as well on all across
the Woodwork Sports Network. Appreciate you, Alex.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
Say, buddy, awesome for having me.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
All right, take care, Alex, could you mention Sharon Moore
doing that?

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Well, did he go to Stanford?

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Hey, guys, listen, I'm telling you right now, Chase herb
Street is what we needed on this play.

Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
He will be fired.

Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
By the way, the ultimate troll is on online here. Yeah,
Neil Neil Rule is having fun, having fun with the chat.
Do you want to know if the Wisconsin game, Uh,
if it can enhance Sharon Moore's eight and six record
as a head.

Speaker 6 (01:09:50):
Neil, stop looking for a motherfuck out because you heard
about the tigers. All right, don't this show with that?
All right, I'll see you in about an hour.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):

Speaker 6 (01:10:07):

said him.

Speaker 2 (01:10:09):

would have made it the third and and Dingler would
have scored.

Speaker 6 (01:10:16):
Find He's gonna find a way to blame Hoby no
matter why say that? That was such a great line,
that was He gotta he gotta stay own brand. He's
committed to the brand. And I give him that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
He is committed.

Speaker 6 (01:10:29):
But he gonna find a way to blame Hobby.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
For this, Neil, I'm wearing on the team he's leaning
off today, Neil, Hobby, this is.

Speaker 6 (01:10:43):
I know right.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):

you feel better? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:10:50):

Speaker 7 (01:10:52):

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):

Speaker 11 (01:10:56):

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
Are there things that will make me laugh in their kg?

Speaker 6 (01:10:59):
Maybe can't guarantee.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
It's such a migrated you can not guarantee that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Should we take a break first? So should we keep going?
Let's take a break?

Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
I was like fun, I think I could blow out
my ACL in that.

Speaker 10 (01:14:31):
I feel like this is gonna be careful, right.

Speaker 2 (01:14:34):
You know what I like to do with blown acl Oh,
I'm staying away from them.

Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
Guilty My KG, what do you got for us today?

Speaker 6 (01:14:45):
Hey man, I just got a little old triple thread
segment for the people that are not familiar Triple Thread.
It's a segment in which I will provide statements and
our questions and your answers revolve around to number three.
Sometimes it'll be give me three words, sometimes it'll be
multiple choice, but either way, your answers will result in

(01:15:06):
the number three and if at a lot, if your
gentlemen already, we can go ahead and begin this. There's
a little bit of a short trouble threat, so we
won't be here.

Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
On It's all good.

Speaker 6 (01:15:16):
Let's do it all right. First one is Lions, so
we can kind of get the Tigers. Think we can
be happy here now, No for a second, only for
a second. Which Lions off season storyline has impressed you
more over the first month? A offensive line, B defensive
line or see the coordinators?

Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
We want to go first. I'll go first, offensive line.
I thought it would take longer to come together. I
wasn't worried about the coordinators. They said it once, they
said it one thousand times. Talent wins. I thought it
would take longer for this offensive line to come together. KG. Okay,
so I'm gonna go offensive line.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Mass I'm gonna go with the letter C on this one.
I'm gonna go coordinators because it has a little doubt
in my mind losing Ben Johnson more than and Aaron Glenn.
Ben Johnson really took this offense to elite levels. Loved
everything that they did this team. I loved going forward

(01:16:15):
on fourth down. I know that was Dan's choice, but
the plays that were designed were outstanding. Obviously, they did
not call a great game in that Washington playoff game.
We all know that, and I didn't like the way
it turned out. But right now John Morton upstairs watching
over this team. He looks calm, cool and collected. And

(01:16:36):
our decordinator Kelvin Sheppard is outstanding. I mean, I love
this guy. I love his energy. Again, I'm gonna say it.
The Lions have the best staff in all of NFL.
They are fantastic. So I'm going with the coordinators. I'm
very happy about.

Speaker 6 (01:16:52):
Him, all right. I love that answer. JB. O, Line,
D Line or the coordinators. Who has impressed you the
most over the first month.

Speaker 10 (01:16:59):
I gotta go with the coordinators as well, too, agree
with Mas. I know at the beginning, things were a
little rocky, a little shaky, especially that first game, but
everything since then has cleared up. And yeah, I know
we sit here and say the coordinators don't matter. Everything
was still gonna be the same. It was still a
little question mark in my head, but I think things
are clearing up a lot more now as it is.

(01:17:20):
As Mas said, I love Kelvin Shepherd's energy on the field,
KG on the field out there, just like he into
the defense right now, and you can see his excitement
for the team when they make big players out there,
and that's just something that I love. Morton, you gotta
give me a little bit more on offense, But other
than that, I'm cool.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:17:40):
I love to answer shout out to the chat as well.
I'm seeing a lot of offensive line by the chat.
I'm salty, says he. That would be the offensive line.
Tabitha says offensive line dn c E and T says
the defensive line Dante one five to one. The coordinators
dozer cam doune. Sorry if I pronounced that wrong, old line,
nitty gritty line, and Jack Wegner says defensive line. No,

(01:18:05):
they are, and that's my pick. It's the defensive line
because I wasn't really worried about the coordinators, Like these
guys are professionals. Kelvin Sheppard already being in the house,
being under ag for so long, I wasn't really worried
about that. Johnny Mole, he was an experienced play caller
in this league with better talent on with this roster.
So I wasn't worried about that. The offensive line is

(01:18:26):
coming together like I thought they would. They all be
it a little bit quicker than maybe I expected. But
this defensive line, there was so many questions around. You know,
of course the other edge position opposite of Hutch, But
even with that, you had Hutch coming back off an injury.
You had Alea McNeil, who you still have yet to
get back. How was this defensive line really gonna look?
But they have gotten after it, man. But aside from

(01:18:47):
that Packers game, they have been lights out. Man. I've
really been impressed with this defensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:18:52):
Before you get your next question, can I ask you
guys a hypothetical question.

Speaker 6 (01:18:56):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
Let's say all of Maz's fears come true and the
Cincinnati Bengals this is their Super Bowl. They put up
an incredible effort, okay, And it's a tie game late
in the fourth quarter, and we're faced with a fourth
and four from the fifty yard line, and our two

(01:19:18):
choices are do we kick a field goal that's sixty
seven yards okay? Or do we let Jared goff as
he's done so many times before, say fourth and four?
I got this well because the Bengals defense has been
so ferocious, and we know there's not a lot of
white boy wiggle there yea true What if I decided

(01:19:39):
in that moment to put in a career journeyman by
the name of Kyle Allen, oh, and said Kyle Allen
is best at this critical juncture of the game. What
if I decided because he's got more white boy wiggle
than the other guy? What if I decided Kyle Allen
was the right play on that fourth and four? What
would you do?

Speaker 6 (01:19:57):
I mean, Will Shawn? He did have a great preseason.

Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
Hey, I love that Dan Campbell go to Stanford.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
All right.

Speaker 6 (01:20:09):
I'm sorry it is funny because this next question is
just gonna push you off even more. I already know
sarcastic answers are gonna pop up with this one.

Speaker 16 (01:20:20):
We go, what are the three keys to a Tiger's
victory A gay three of the wold, who wants to start?

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
I'll go.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
I need.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
Five terrific innings out of Jack Flaherty. I know. Give
me five, and don't give up a home run or two. Please,
because if there was ever a sure bet, it would
be that Jack Flaherty will give up a home run
or two in his five innings and strikeout seven. I

(01:20:58):
might add give me that number two. Get guys home.
They're getting guys on base.

Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
Guys, how do you do? What's your secret weapon? Man?

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Say it to my jones. Get them home. I don't care.
And number three stop running yourself out of innings. Please stop, please,
Quorra put up the stop sign once in a while,
please listen to what you just asked for your first

(01:21:36):
Can we get five in because AJ's got a quick cook, obviously,
go ahead, JB, what are your.

Speaker 6 (01:21:46):
Three keys to a Tiger's winning game?

Speaker 1 (01:21:48):
Three?

Speaker 10 (01:21:48):
Oh boy, this is definitely gonna get sarcastic, but yes, yeah, please,
I need a least five to six good innings from
good Jack out here. And once again, my number three,
I just need runs. Please, for the love of God,
just give me runs. But if you have to, I

(01:22:10):
don't care.

Speaker 6 (01:22:11):
I just need runs.

Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
You need great jack, you do, I mean the way
this lineup is going right now. If you're if you're
somebody that thinks that this lineup is going to just
blow up. So that's my number one. You don't need
good Jack, you need great Jack. And I'll go a
step further than both of you guys do can you
if he's flying, can you keep him in as long

(01:22:35):
as possible? Can you stretch it to one hundred and
seven pitches?

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Can you go, Garrett Crochet.

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
One seventeen seventeen?

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
Can you do that? Our bullpen isn't very good. It's
taxed right now. Okay, see Casey my sixty two pitches,
three innings.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
Pitch He's coming back.

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Please, I'm begging you.

Speaker 6 (01:22:56):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
That is so damn please coming back.

Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
Please get I JB honestly or KG you tell me,
am I asking for too much to say, Jack, if
there was ever a time to earn your key, please
give me seven damn good innings today.

Speaker 6 (01:23:13):
No, because he's the second highest paid player on the
team and has some of the better stuff on the team.
It's crazy that he's even number three he should have
been number two, but based on his end season performance,
it just it ain't ain't really worked out that way.
But I agree with you. I feel like aj Hinch
needs to trust his starter unless he goes out there
he gives up four or five earned runs like all

(01:23:34):
at one time. Like, trust your starter, man, because you
need to get as many innings out of your starter
as possible. We cannot trust this bullpen.

Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
I'm sorry, okay, point number two, and I'm giving full
credit to Matt Sheppard for this. Okay, Shepp told me
this the other day and it was like light bulbs.
But you cannot ask a team to be something that
they aren't. Yeah, this is not a small ball team.
I know. I know. The idea is great, start dropping bunch,
let's do all the small ball stuff. Okay, this isn't

(01:24:04):
a small ball team. But there are pieces of this
team that can do small ball if the opportunity presents
itself like it did in Game number one with McKinstry.
Take said opportunity. Don't like honestly because runs are hard
to come by. Right now, we've lived it, no doubt
about that. Okay. And the last part in KG you

(01:24:25):
just said it but I'm gonna remind aj Hinch. Trust
your guys. Yeah, try, you did not show trust in
your guys yesterday. I don't care what anybody says out there.
You do not pull your de facto number two starter
after sixty two pitches in three innings. You do not
take your de facto best hitter and sit him for

(01:24:47):
a twenty eight year old journeyman. Trust your players. There's
a reason why they got you to where you're at.
Trust your players. If I'm gonna go down, if I'm
gonna go down, I'm going down swinging with my best,
all right, So I don't I don't have all those
people second guess to me. So there, I tried to
stay as serious as I could.

Speaker 6 (01:25:06):
No, and I appreciate that. And the chat is not
doing so well at that. Just a fan hitting pitching coaching,
Michael Weary shout out to og hitting hitting pitching. We
do got some serious answers, Mike g I didn't get
your third answer, Brody, but one of them was Hovey
go three for three, Flairty goes eight scoreless. Yeah, we'll

(01:25:28):
see if that happens. CE No. Three one three, win,
win and win. Let's go Tigers. Not mad at that
d n c en t walk, j ram Jack goes
five by giving up a single run and keep Riley
Green in the fucking game. Ah man. So for me,
like you said, Sean, I just want a J. Hinch
to trust his guys like good bad are in different.

(01:25:50):
Let's go down with our best talent on the field
at all times. To me, the plate discipline for this
team has just went out the fucking window. That's their
biggest problem. That's why they can't get runs across the plate.
Discipline is atrocious. They swing at everything or they just
stand there looking at the worst pitches or pitches right
down the middle. They have to have better discernment. And

(01:26:12):
I just need more power on this team. I need
people to go up there and try to hit bombs, man,
And I'm calling out people like Torque, like Carpenter. If
you're gonna have these even Riley Green, if you're gonna
have these guys in the game, make good contact and
get some fucking balls in play, please please? All right,
So number three back to the Lions real quick. I'm

(01:26:35):
interested to see what the answer is gonna be for
this one. I can't lie which of these Lions players
needs the ball more going forward? A Testla, B Jmo
or C. Laporta. That's a great question. Which of these
Lions players needs the ball more going forward? A Laporta,

(01:26:57):
I mean a Tesla, B Jmo or C.

Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
Sam.

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
I'm gonna take white boy Summer out of the equation
because he's he's a rookie. His time is coming, like
I believe it. I'm so.

Speaker 2 (01:27:10):
Change him for Monty, cut him.

Speaker 3 (01:27:15):
You know what I do. I'd start teslat running back
because that's what a J. Hinch would do.

Speaker 10 (01:27:18):
Now that's a good decision.

Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
I know what the easy answer is, but I'm not
gonna go with the easy answer. I'm gonna go with
Sam Laporta because I think if you get Sam Laporta
more involved KG, I think organically that opens sh it
up for Jamo. I hear you, that stretches the defense
and I think, all of a sudden, oh, you know,
we have to be cognizant of what's happening over the middle.

(01:27:46):
And you take you take Jamo and say go what
what's his play? It's called go run as fast as
you can, right, So I yeah, because of that, I'll
go with Sam laport.

Speaker 6 (01:27:57):
I'm not mad at that. I don't think it's the
wrong answer here, but.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Mass I'm gonna go with Jamo, go with the easy answer.
I didn't like what I saw last week, and I'm
sure they worked like hell this week in practice and
they're still doing it to get on the same page.
It looks like they were not on the same page,
Golf and Jamo, and we already know that they have
a great hookup, all right, they do. I want to
see them bounce back against a below average defense, we'll

(01:28:21):
call it in the Cincinnati Bengals. I want to see
JMO over one hundred yards this week, all right, JB.

Speaker 10 (01:28:30):
I think Jmo is the easy answer, Tesla. His time
is coming. It might be closer to the end of
the season or beginning of the next season, but his
time will be there. But for me, I gotta go
with Sam Laporter.

Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
As well.

Speaker 10 (01:28:41):
To as what Sean said, I think it stretches a
field a little bit more. It gives go off that
extra weapon out there that I would like to see
utilize a lot more. And hey, he only has what
sixteen receptions I think is like less than two hundred
yards and at the beginning of the season.

Speaker 5 (01:28:59):
I need more from Sam Laporter.

Speaker 6 (01:29:01):
Yeah, I'm already seeing some people with my team. Answer.
I didn't put my team in here because he's guaranteed
gonna get his touches. What he does with him is
a different story, but he's guaranteed to get his touches
on his team. I took the three players. That is
kind of like you know, it's game the game dependent
and shout out to the chat man for participating. I
see Tabitha with Jamo, I see DNC E and t

(01:29:23):
would be which would be Jamo? I'm salty, says Laporta.
DJ Jamo nitty gritty Jamo. We ZD three one three
Lagoda uh, Sam Laporter, Grim with Vanilla Tron, Harvey Wallbanger
with Jamo and Troy Bearwald. Sorry if I pronounced that wrong,
he says, Sam Laporta. And and it's easy that Jamo

(01:29:47):
is the easy answer because normally when he gets the
ball in his hands, he's instant offense. He can turn
a game on the drop of a dime. I can
see the argument for Laporta, especially if anyone because I think,
like you said, Tesla's time is gonna come. But as
of right now, I feel like just fitting in and
being a part of this offense and not costing this

(01:30:08):
offense negatively is working in his favor. But I would
say Jamo over laporta slightly because if you involved him
reporter a little bit more, I do think that opens
up things for all of the receivers in terms of
I'm a Rod Saint Brown, Jamo, and even whoever that
third receiver is, whether it's Tesla or Khalif Raman.

Speaker 2 (01:30:29):
So I like, I like Super Bowl Wilson. I wish
mc DC or a Lion's uniform on the sideline like
aj Hinch.

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
All right, and my last one, it's like Vanilla tron
I had never heard.

Speaker 6 (01:30:41):
That be trying to see can we stop with the Trons?
Not everybody needs to be a transformer, y'all?

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (01:30:48):
Ja tron Is. I mean, he's something special. He transforms
himself from a journeyman outfielder to the most clutch hitter
in the history of mankind. Here's your base hit.

Speaker 6 (01:31:02):
Speaking to Tigers man, this last one, I'm not going
to involve the triple thread rules with this one. Give
me your definitive statement if the Tigers win this series,
and give me your definitive statement if the Tigers lose
this series.

Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
In the interest of being fair. If the Tigers win
this series, absolute props to aj Hinch for doing what
he did with what he has at his disposal. And
I'm gonna say it again, both things can be true.
He was awful yesterday. You have to admit it. Okay,
I still think he's a damn good manager. But stop it.
You are not ruining your fandom by acknowledging the obvious. Okay,

(01:31:41):
if they win this series against Cleveland with the way
this season fell apart the last month and what he
has at his disposal, and oh, by the way, what
Scott Harris did to not only not improve this team
but legitimately make it worse. If he wins this series,
absolute tipcap, Absolute tipcap to a guy that I've been
crushing all morning. Both things can be true. How's that?

Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
I like that?

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
And if they lose this series, it was nice knowing
this this this this group that surely wasn't going to fail.
This team will look drastically different next year. How's that?

Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
I love it? Mass I think that'll be either way,
Sean win or lose. I think I think we're gonna
be missing a few players by by spring training at
Lakeland next February. But if they win this game, I
just can't see them doing anything against Seattle. To be
perfectly honest with I think they're gas. Cleveland has gassed

(01:32:39):
them to play this freaking team nine times in the
last week and a half. It gases you. They are
pains in the ass. I just don't see if they
survived this game today, and I hope they do. I
don't see him winning a game in Seattle. I don't.

(01:33:00):
I'll still go to the game here at co America.
There'll be one game, we'll get Game three. I'll be there.
I'll be rooting hard for him. I hope there's a
game four, but my hopes will be pretty much extinguished.
They'll pop the champagne like the Dodgers did last night.
But I can't see him doing much against Seattle.

Speaker 6 (01:33:22):
JB.

Speaker 10 (01:33:24):
If you went out today, good okay, but you should
have closed it out into as mag just said, you
face this team nine times. You haven't learned anything yet.
You should have closed his game out in two. If
you lose tonight, hey, you know what. Back to the
drawing board and trade school and get everything and more
you can out of whatever team is going to get him,

(01:33:46):
because we need something next year. We can't be in
the same position once again next year.

Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
I like it.

Speaker 17 (01:33:54):
I like it.

Speaker 6 (01:33:54):
I see some people in here, a lot of people
saying it was always gonna be ohsh hah. I see y'all.
I see y'all in there. For me, I mean, if
they win today, I mean, it's it kind of kind
of only kind of makes up for them dropping that
AL Central League. But to me, it was it was

(01:34:16):
for them to do that. It was just a bad
omen all the way around. And I don't have much
confidence against Seattle. I'm just being absolutely real. Do I
want this team to win, absolutely, but I do not
have much confidence going forward with this team in the
playoff scenario. If they win today, if they lose today,
shake something up. We cannot continue like this. We knew

(01:34:38):
last year that this was not a sustainable model, and
they answered that by going to get labor Torres and
paying Alex Cobb fifteen million dollars. That essentially is no
real moves made in the off season, and now you're
seeing the chickens coming home the roofs. You got what
you got, You got what you got, but please, if
they lose this series, it is time for change. I'm

(01:35:00):
on my own heart with the Nation of domination. Shit,
enough is enough time for change? Now school then it's
got to be school now.

Speaker 3 (01:35:09):
Let me ask you a question, Lyd's say it's a
game seven against the Knicks. You push the Knicks to
game seven? Ron Harper Junior or Cade Cunningham?

Speaker 5 (01:35:22):
Who you got?

Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
Who do you want taking it to the rack?

Speaker 6 (01:35:24):
I mean Ron Harper Man, he's he's a better driver
of the bank.

Speaker 3 (01:35:28):
Tell me otherwise. He's younger.

Speaker 6 (01:35:32):
I mean k blew lay up earlier. Why would I try?

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
Why would I do that? Why would I do that?
Very quickly, before we get into some lion stuff, I
can we talk about Shador Sanders. I have been on
that kid's side. We were talking about it just the
other day, right, KG, what was it yesterday? The day before? Okay,

(01:35:56):
what an asshole?

Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
You are?

Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
Now? Your own worst end to me?

Speaker 11 (01:36:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:36:01):
You you like I'm not being funny, Like grow up,
grow up, grow up kid. There ain't nobody out there
that is gonna sit back and support that stuff. Nobody.
And I'm serious, I I know there's no doubt in
my mind that the league was was what's the word

(01:36:22):
I'm looking for? Blackballing you? There's no doubt in my mind. Okay,
you've got my sympathy. I think you've got a lot
of other people sympathy out there that act yesterday. Grow up,
Grow up, and I'll tell you if that's my kid,
If that's my kid, I'm on the phone with him
very privately saying, what the hell is wrong with you?

Speaker 6 (01:36:43):
You grow up any other even if your opportunity is
in in Cleveland, you're not doing yourself any favors.

Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
In terms of watch that. That's embarrassing.

Speaker 6 (01:36:53):
It's not a good look.

Speaker 2 (01:36:54):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (01:36:54):
You gotta wait your turn.

Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (01:36:56):
You probably will get your opportunity eventually, but you have
to be ready for it when it comes. But for
right now, you've got to just play the game. And
I'm off with support of people standing in their ground,
standing on business all that, but it's just not smart business.

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
Bro.

Speaker 6 (01:37:11):
You have to just play your role right now, play
your role way for your shot and take advantage when
it comes.

Speaker 3 (01:37:16):
I would rather that you came out and shot absolutely
straight than that tobacco yesterday. I would rather that you
look right into the camera and said I am better
than anybody in this room. I know that for a fact. Okay,
I don't agree with the coach's decision. I know I
can help this team right this second. But to sit
there and go, yes, dude, come on it, knock it off.

(01:37:45):
There's some happy lion news. We we purposely kind of
saved it. There's some happy lion news. I'm sure you
know it by now, And I'm sure there's some swarming
Jamai Jones joke that I could make and I probably
will make. But I'm gonna try to do it straight
down in the middle of the fairway when we come back.

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Are you gonna start Craig Reynolds.

Speaker 3 (01:38:04):
Listen, if it's fourth and goal, I want a guy
that's used to plugging up that hole. I might fire
him in instead of the soon to be returning guy.
He's been injured. Yeah, I can't trust him. I'm putting
Craig middle Reynolds in the middle of that line, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:38:21):
Putting Jami Jones out there just ain't gonna get it done.
Jones for what Jami Jones tonight, come tonight tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
That's another guy and it ain't even his fault. What's
he supposed to do. Say skip, I can't go. Jami
Jones will never live that. He's not even the kid's fault.
It's well, he's not really a kid. He's a twenty
eight year old journey man with some of the people
that pushed back. I totally agree he got screwed by
the umpire. He should have been taken a base, but
the end result was him striking out.

Speaker 6 (01:38:52):
Got it, and that's all that matters.

Speaker 2 (01:38:54):
Sorry, don't take your best player out. You can't do it.

Speaker 3 (01:38:56):
And congratulations, you drew a walk, which means so somebody
will probably ground into a double play the very next play.
Like at that point in time, I want the guy
who has the best opportunity to knock in said run,
and I would take Riley Green over Jami Jones. Call
me nuts, I know what the split say. Call me nuts,
it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (01:39:15):
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:39:15):
Thirty six homers, one hundred and eleven RBIs, eight ten ops.

Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Two hundred and fifty five career at match for Jami Jones. Cool,
biggest player of the year, Cool, fantastic. All right, JB,
where are we going?

Speaker 10 (01:39:28):
We gotta hear from mad Pax. But first let me
clear up this super Chat shout out to uh, hopefully
I'm pronouncing this right DSBT. He sent in five dollars.
He said, I need a yardish over and under Shawn's
hat travel yards total for this week versus the Bingles
offensive passing yards total on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
Max, I'm gonna. I'm looking at you because you're the.

Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
One offensive passing yards from Browning.

Speaker 3 (01:39:54):
Yeah, you gotta.

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
I'm gonna. I'm gonna say it. Two seventy five out
stop it.

Speaker 6 (01:40:01):
Anything over two hundred nuts.

Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
Well I can. I can fix this. You know what,
I would suggest everybody out there, if there are betting odds,
take me because I can affect this. You have to
give me twenty percent of your winnings. But there's twenty
five yards right there. Yeah, that's my third time this morning.
I already got seventy five yards. Take me pretty accurately.
That's the winning back. Take me, all right?

Speaker 6 (01:40:27):
Where are we going?

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
Man?

Speaker 5 (01:40:28):

That's right, and I'll tell you what. Let me tell
you about the Detroit original. Okay, you hear de Troit
style pizza thrown out there all the time, But there's
something to be said about the original and still the best.
Why would you go with the Jamai Jones of Detroit Pizza?

(01:44:13):
You go with the original and the best. They've got
twenty two locations all over Michigan. I bet there's a
Buddies near you. Buddies has been a huge part of
the community for seventy nine years. Did I mention Detroit
style pizza? Buddies? Did that?

Speaker 6 (01:44:28):
Look at that?

Speaker 3 (01:44:29):
Isn't that a lovely, lovely pie? Save ten percent off

Speaker 6 (01:44:47):
Smooth.

Speaker 3 (01:44:47):
We love to end the show that way all the time.
Some great news. We were even speculating it out loud
the other day. What if he comes back earlier than
we thought? Well, Dan Campbell had some news for you, jv.

Speaker 7 (01:45:03):
Oh, we're starting Max clock today. You know, he's uh,
I think he's a little nervous. So he's ready to go.
Like I said, I'm sorry for some of those guys
who are gonna have to line up across from him.
So he's ready to go. I'm ready to start practicing.
So that that's good.

Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
Yes, you know, all of a sudden, I'm in a
better mood right now, I really am. I'm in I'm
in a better mood right now. Listen. It wasn't that
long ago we were talking Thanksgiving that that was kind
of and then and then we kind of thought, well,
wouldn't it be great if he came back the first
week in November a few weeks early. I mean, we're guys,

(01:45:45):
you know, we're talking about a month and a half earlier, right.

Speaker 6 (01:45:49):
Yeah about that Fox Stars Now, I think I forgot
how many.

Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
Yeah, it doesn't mean it's imminent. It does yeah, let's
let's but it.

Speaker 6 (01:45:57):
Looks like he's on track to either be here before
the end of October or, like you said, the first
weekend over.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
Oh my goodness, he's excited. Man, he's he's rare to
go here.

Speaker 3 (01:46:06):
You want evidence of that, it's rare to go here.
He is talking about his return.

Speaker 18 (01:46:11):
I feel like mentally, I feel like I've been ready
for a little bit. It was just, you know, a
matter of time or whatever, just letting it. It's just
like baking a cake. You just gotta it's different steps
in different layers.

Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
You just gotta let it cook a little bit.

Speaker 18 (01:46:22):
But mentally, I feel like I've been ready. I've just
been itching to get out there. But now that the
moment is here is time to capitalize on it. It
feels great because of the work we put in here
with Shuler and Fish and everybody, and the work I
was getting before I came back for that ota period
with Derick, Samuel and everything. The way we work out
is i'd say it's about two to three times harder

(01:46:43):
than practice. So when I came in it just felt normal.
So today I didn't get that many reps, but I
got a good amount of reps and got to feel
how everything fell, and it felt great and I wasn't
gashed or nothing like that, so.

Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
Everything felt good.

Speaker 18 (01:46:54):
So we've been putting it work, though, so I expect
to feel that way, taking the day by day practice
right now and just putting good for him, putting a
good table out there and let him know that I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:47:05):
Good to go.

Speaker 18 (01:47:05):
So, uh no, I don't have a target day myself,
but I can't wait till it.

Speaker 3 (01:47:09):
Is pretty stinking cool. Now, if I was to bake
a cake, wouldn't I want to use the best and great?

Speaker 2 (01:47:16):
Okay, nothing right, you try it though, you tried stick
with the Betty Crocker.

Speaker 3 (01:47:23):
Rand Hutch is kind of excited about Mac and his return.

Speaker 18 (01:47:27):
You think, first practice back for Lem today, So it
was it's great seeing seeing five four back in the mix.

Speaker 5 (01:47:35):
How does he instantly maybe energize everybody on that line.

Speaker 18 (01:47:40):
Yeah, Aleen is such an impact player, you know, and
he's uh, he's so dynamic, and so getting him back
is going to be it's gonna be amazing and I.

Speaker 5 (01:47:49):
Can't wait to be back out there with him.

Speaker 2 (01:47:54):
All right, we'll see you see the wood Man standing there.

Speaker 3 (01:47:57):
I mean, he he's one of my favorite guys. I
got a chance to work with him for many years
at Fox. He's just a good dude. I can't say
that another. He's a good human being. He really is.

Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
You think you think Aliam is talking with Hutch about
coming back from a bad injury. Of course, do you
think that. Aleim's like, man, I see you. I saw
your legs snapping three last year, snapped in three. It
was like a rag. Now if you can do it, Hell,
I'm ready to go. I think he's I think he's

(01:48:31):
back in three weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:48:32):
You know what he's gonna have to there. There's something
the psychological. You need to get that first rep. Yeah,
you need to get that first play. You need to
get that first time where your knee gets twisted a
little bit, because what's gonna happen is your you might
ship your pants. Yeah, because you're like, oh my gosh,
what happened again? Okay, hey wait a second, dude. Cool,

(01:48:53):
but you need, like you need to get that that
first one out because it really, it does it.

Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
It screws your head old doubt.

Speaker 6 (01:49:00):
I'll say. I love Alim's confidence, though he said he's
been chopping at the bit for a while. He alluded
to it a couple weeks ago, saying he felt like
he was ninety three percent of the way there. He's
been confident through this whole thing, and when he comes back,
I don't expect him to, you know, have much of
a you know, a rebooting period. I feel like he's
gonna hit the ground running and with this defensive line

(01:49:20):
the way that they're playing right now, he's gonna add
so much. I mean having ty Leek is now a
rotational type piece option. I think that's great and shout
out to Spinning. He brought this up yesterday. The Lions
have started experimenting with like five down linemen front. That's
gonna be nasty. If you got a Liam, you got
DJ Reader, and you got Tyleek out there at the

(01:49:41):
same time, this is gonna be getting nasty, man. And
I'm looking forward to having a Lien back.

Speaker 3 (01:49:46):
Great stuff, all right, JB, what do he wanted? Do
you want to break here and then tell us what's trender?
Do you want to just roll straight into it right now?

Speaker 2 (01:49:52):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (01:49:52):
Yeah, we can get a break in here real quick.
Let's see we.

Speaker 6 (01:49:55):
Need we need something.

Speaker 10 (01:50:01):
We need black Rock and some cruisers. But first let
me clear up the super chat. Shout out to Jordan
Lionheart sitting.

Speaker 3 (01:50:06):
Thank you Jordan.

Speaker 6 (01:50:08):
Two hours.

Speaker 10 (01:50:08):
He wants to ask you, Sean Kneed your predictions next
for next Thursday, Halves and Wings.

Speaker 3 (01:50:14):
I think the Wings win that game, and I'll tell
you why the Halves played the night before against Toronto.
The schedule makers weren't very nice to the Habs. They
start Wednesday night in Toronto, the hometown. The crowd's going
to be fired up. They just played twenty four hours
earlier against Toronto. So I think the Wings win that

(01:50:35):
game one.

Speaker 2 (01:50:36):
Next Thursday, starting already.

Speaker 3 (01:50:38):
That's insane.

Speaker 6 (01:50:39):
Do you know the whereabouts of halbs Man?

Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
I do.

Speaker 3 (01:50:41):
As a matter of fact, he was actually chasing down
a certain member of the Ottawa Senators for a flagrant
slash the other day.

Speaker 6 (01:50:48):
Oh okay, yeah, so I think he's somewhere in the.

Speaker 3 (01:50:50):
Ottawa area looking for cousins because he's gonna do bad
things doing.

Speaker 6 (01:50:54):
Okay, so got it.

Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
He's in the Ottawa area, right, can't wait to meet
that slash on Ivan Demendov.

Speaker 2 (01:50:59):
I really shure, I didn't. Oh my gosh, they just
took a number.

Speaker 6 (01:51:02):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:51:02):
My heart stopped. I'm not going He's fine, but my
heart stopped. All right, JB. You want me to talk
about sun Cruiser. Listen, Cruiser. You watch our pregame show,
you guys, sun Cruiser is a part of it. You
should make it a part of your game day. They
got the iced tea, they got the pink lemonade. They
got the lemonade, real vodka, real iced tea. Lemonade only

(01:51:24):
one hundred talleries four point five percent alcohol. So this
season let the good times cruise with Sun Cruiser and
Woodward Sports. Please drink responsible.

Speaker 2 (01:51:33):
And of course looking for dinner plans that sizzel. Head

nineteen ninety nine. That's unbelievable now for a limited time.
And then if you're really hungry, I'm about grabbing some

(01:51:55):

Speaker 15 (01:52:20):

Speaker 6 (01:52:27):
You know me too well.

Speaker 10 (01:52:30):
I throw a little something extra in there.

Speaker 6 (01:52:32):
For you mind.

Speaker 5 (01:52:32):
Oh he's doing all right. Hi guys, you're a.

Speaker 6 (01:52:36):

You're doubled there.

Speaker 2 (01:55:07):
Yes, yes, give me that Caitlin Clark stuff too, you
got for me.

Speaker 10 (01:55:12):
I don't think he's gonna give that Caitlin Clark. But anyway,
so I'm back to the foods and once again, if
the Cubs survive today, you can go to Chicago and
pick yourself up one of these the Grand Slam nachos
with the replica Delicious.

Speaker 2 (01:55:28):
Yes, that's it. That's me Jeeves.

Speaker 10 (01:55:30):
Sauce, chili, Picklepio, sour cream Pico, and all in a
full size replica Cub's helmet.

Speaker 3 (01:55:38):
That is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
I cannot wear to wear it. I can't wait to
wear that helmet.

Speaker 3 (01:55:42):
Please tell me, just tell me that it's layered. Just
don't put the top. I can't stand with the it
is on top. If I'm gonna pay sixty dollars for that,
and I would just make sure that it's layered. Okay,
just don't put the ship on the top. I want
it layered. I am so in. As a matter of fact,
one of my oldest friends is at the game today,
I'm gonna tell him I will literally send him money

(01:56:04):
and he has to try. That's fantasm Is.

Speaker 2 (01:56:06):
It sixty dollars?

Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
I don't know. I pay sixty dollars for that's probably
thirty In a full sized batting helmet, I'd pay sixty
dollars for it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:14):
Do you know? I almost bought a full sized batting
hemlet the other day on on Facebook marketplace.

Speaker 3 (01:56:20):
How much was it?

Speaker 2 (01:56:21):
It was like ten bucks because mans want to suit
up and then I'm like, what the hell am I
gonna do with it?

Speaker 3 (01:56:26):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:56:26):
But my inner child wanted that batting helmet. We all
with the adjustable scrap inside of it.

Speaker 3 (01:56:32):
Oh, we all had them when we were kids. Oh
my god, that was the coolest thing ever. Yep, I'm in.
I'm totally in on that. That's outstanding.

Speaker 10 (01:56:42):
The Cubs said, if the Cubs survive today, you can
head to the ballpark and pick yourself up one of those.

Speaker 5 (01:56:47):
Today.

Speaker 10 (01:56:48):
I've got the video of the year of you for
you guys for the stiff arm of the Year. And
no it does not come from one mister Derrick Henry,
but yet a utea as you can see right here.

Speaker 6 (01:57:05):
And you said that wasn't Derrick Henry. But that's the
Derrick Henry of children right there, compared to them other kids.
Come on, now, look at him running.

Speaker 3 (01:57:12):
Do that again. I need to see that again.

Speaker 6 (01:57:14):
How big this kid is compared to the other kids.
He's Dereck Henry.

Speaker 3 (01:57:18):
Get that ship out of my kitchen.

Speaker 6 (01:57:20):
He's Derek Fuck Henry. Hey, shout out to whoever that is.

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
Don't put my face up there. Put that back around?

Speaker 2 (01:57:29):
Is that your mind? Jones? Kid?

Speaker 6 (01:57:32):
Jesus Rice, you gotta play the fucking X Files thing?

Speaker 3 (01:57:38):
Can you show that girl again? Who's all done?

Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
Look it?

Speaker 8 (01:57:42):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (01:57:46):
Do you believe in justice? I believe.

Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
Cutch Bro.

Speaker 6 (01:57:54):
That kid got That kid is two years older than
all the mother kids. But I'm convinced they do this
ship in Power League all the time. I used to
coach that that they used to do that kid fucking
putting older kids on the team. That kid is old
as ship.

Speaker 2 (01:58:10):
This little kid went flying. Oh my god, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:58:13):
What she's saying right there. You know, probably would have
been it would have been a better idea to throw
Jamai in there.

Speaker 10 (01:58:22):
Oh and finally I was in what's training with this?
I don't know about you but I think this woman
is playing a very very dangerous game while driving. Wait,
your cell phone is hanging out of the east side
of the car.

Speaker 6 (01:58:37):
Did you not notice that?

Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Boy? That's a strong charger car.

Speaker 6 (01:58:44):
He one Detroit poold on that phone? Is you're done that, Detroit?

Speaker 2 (01:58:50):
Because my charger barely hangs on when I'm laying it
on the seat.

Speaker 3 (01:58:52):
And you think that survived.

Speaker 10 (01:58:54):
I don't think he did.

Speaker 6 (01:58:55):
But if it did, she is lucky.

Speaker 3 (01:58:57):
