Seeing From the Inside Out is the heart/brain-child of writer and storyteller Gina Blitstein who interviews guests to learn and discern the story that dwells within them so they can indeed be known, from the inside out. Gina firmly believes that our stories are our legacy and a powerful way of connecting as humans. Every two weeks, an episode will drop, highlighting a fascinating person, eager to tell the personal, authentic tale of their life’s journey, a lesson learned, a defining moment; something unique only they can express from their own life experience. In a world hell-bent on stirring division and pitting us against one another, Gina sees this podcast as a celebration of the stories that ground us to our shared humanity and remind us we have so much more in common than that which separates us. Gina’s modest goal… building human connection, (and making the world a more open-hearted place) one story at a time.
My friend Krista Swisher and I met through Humans on the Verge, a personal development group, both of us seekers of self-expression and a sense of agency in a world hellbent on keeping us quiet and complacent.
I admire her greatly for picking up her paintbrushes (and other implements of pigment application) and claiming her rightful moniker as an artist in the world - and I love even more that her work is recognized as...
This episode features my friend Erika Shapiro who did me the great honor of interviewing me for my first episode of Seeing From the Inside Out, doing a fantastic job of introducing me to my listeners. Erika was the perfect choice for that role, because she’s a natural conversationalist who brings warmth and curiosity to a conversation.
On the other side of the microphone in this episode, Erika discusses her journey of ...
My guest Diana J. Brodie is a one-of-a-kind person you’re going to love meeting! She’s been a bright light in my life since the day I met her six years ago as my pod-mate in an incredible self-development group, Humans on the Verge. Turns out, we reached out for support at more or less the same time and had the opportunity to foster mutual trust and admiration as we discussed and tackled deeply personal and complex as...
Stephanie Minter, D.O., talks about what it takes to become a doctor, her motivation for choosing this path in her life, her philosophy of health and the healthcare system in which she works - as well as her journey to live a life that fulfills her big, bright heart while it uplifts others.
I want her to be my doctor, and sister, and next door neighbor! Too bad her “beach vibes" live in Florida…
Without ever meeting in person, Kelly Peacock Wright and I have forged a friendship that’s much more authentic and “real” than many and her presence in our life is a treasure. Heck, she and my husband Scott were accountability buddies as they wrote their individual novels… In this episode, we discuss what brought us together, when and why, her commitment to living in alignment with her many passions and how she’s appr...
In this episode, you’ll meet a very special human, Becca Ellis. Becca and Gina met fairly recently and soon learned they are nothing less than soul sisters, having weathered similar storms and have overcome adversity with similar life views. We share a conversation about how circumstances have steeled our resolve to be agents of change in a world hellbent on stirring pots of division.
Listen to a couple of superheroes ...
In this second episode of Seeing From the Inside Out Podcast host, writer and storyteller Gina Blitstein begins a series of conversations with people about that special something she finds fascinating about them.
Gina takes the interviewer’s seat to talk to her favorite person, her husband Scott, about his lifetime love affair with music. Not only is this a look under the hood at a musicophile, it’s a charmi...
