The Story follows Peter on his first day of soccer practice with his new team, the Riverside Rapids. Nervous about fitting in, Peter brings Gracie as the team mascot, complete with a custom blue and white bandana that matches the team colors. Throughout the practice, Gracie proves to be more than just a pet - she becomes a source of comfort for Peter and helps him make new friends on the team. Her gentle nature helps nervous children feel at ease, and she watches attentively as the team practices.
Coach Thompson highlights Gracie's supportive presence as an example of good teamwork. By the end of practice, Gracie has won everyone over and helped Peter gain confidence in his new environment.
