Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three fingered alien like mummy discovered in Peru. A mysterious
three fingered mummy found in a tomb in Peru shares
several human like traits, according to new scientific research. A
recent imaging analysis of the mummy, named Maria revealed that
while it exhibits many biological similarities to humans, it also

(00:22):
has unique differences in terms of morphology and anatomical structure.
As reported by Mail on June twenty fourth, the mummy's
elongated skull shows no signs of artificial cranial deformation. Maria,
designated M zero one, is one of six mummies discovered

(00:43):
by journalist and UFO enthusiast Chaimi Mausan in a tomb
near Nazca, southern Peru in twoenty seventeen. Alongside Maria, the
tomb also contained the mummy of a nine month old
child and four men. In twenty eighteen, following at least
four independent analyzes of DNA samples and other materials, scientists

(01:08):
concluded that the mummies were pre Columbian specimens that had
been modified. The latest study, conducted by a team of
Peruvian experts, involved high magnification imaging to inspect the internal
features of the mummy. Researchers found that Maria lacked hair

(01:29):
and external ears, possessing only ear canal openings. As described
by researcher Edgar hernandez Huari Paucar from the National University
of San Luis Gonzaga and colleagues in the journal Social
and Environmental Management, the most striking feature of the skull
is its unusual length, with no external evidence of cranial compression.

(01:54):
The cranial vault exhibits abnormal growth and development, with an
elongated shape stretching from the back to the front. Furthermore,
the cranial volume is thirty percent larger than that of
an average human. C T scans revealed that Maria had
prominent eyes and protruding upper and lower jaws. Maria was

(02:18):
missing six teeth, and the remaining teeth were heavily worn.
One of the most remarkable and unusual features of this
humanoid mummy is its hands and feet. The base bones
of the three fingers are uniform in width, giving the
hands a human like width but extending over twenty centimeters

(02:39):
in length. Each finger has four phalanges, unlike the three
phalanges found in a typical human hand. The feet also
have three toes, with a similar width to human feet,
but stretching over twenty three centimeters in length. Each toe
similarly contains four flanges compared to human feet. Maria's heel

(03:03):
bone has a distinct shape and structure. Normally, the human
heel bone features a large bump at the back to
help bear the body's weight and maintain balance when standing upright. However,
Maria's heel lacks this bump, suggesting she walked with a
hunched posture to maintain balance. The new study also revealed

(03:27):
that the mummy had been preserved with a white powder
known as diatomaceous earth, a natural substance harmless to humans
but used as a pesticide for its ability to kill
insects by dehydrating them. Imaging analysis also confirmed that Maria
suffered from arthritis in her hands and feet, and her

(03:48):
spine showed signs of damage.
