What if the very things you're treating as optional—meditation, grounding, spiritual connection—aren't luxuries at all, but necessities as fundamental as putting gas in your car? This powerful episode challenges us to reconsider how we prioritize our spiritual nourishment in challenging times.

When political instability, economic uncertainty, and global unrest leave us feeling overwhelmed, our natural tendency is to hustle harder or retreat entirely. Yet these chaotic times are precisely when we most need to show up as our most powerful, heart-led, and courageous selves. The world has never needed people in their power more than now.

Drawing on wisdom from recent conversations with Nikki Boyer, Jenny Finley, and Grace Chon, Sylvia reveals how being seen in your mess, your transition, your "I don't know" moments isn't weakness—it's your soul calling you forward with courage. Through beautiful metaphors like a choir where everyone has their unique part to sing, we discover that each of us has our own contribution to make, our own "activation code" for creating change.

This isn't about saving the entire world—that's ego talking. It's about playing your unique role fully, building trust with the universe through small daily interactions, and discovering that making an impact doesn't require the exhausting hustle we've been conditioned to believe in. From practical tips to understanding how courage is built through small brave actions, this episode offers a roadmap for showing up authentically in a world that desperately needs your unique light.

Remember: You are the chosen one to play this role, at this time, in this body. How will you choose to play it?

Here's the song I promised you! Stars by Ayla Nereo

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Next up on Soul Level Human.
Filling up your car with gas isnot a luxury, right?
So why do we treat ourselves asif?
Taking the time for ourselvesto connect to spirit, fill up,
do the meditation, do thegrounding why are we treating
that like a luxury?
It's not.
It's non-negotiable, especiallyin times like these, when we
need you at the most powerful, most heart-led, most courageous,

(00:22):
most passionate that you'veever been.
You didn't come here to playsafe.
You came to remember your powerand build what comes next.
I'm Sylvia Beatriz, psychicmedium and intuition coach, and
this is Soul Level Human thepodcast for truth-tellers, cycle
breakers and soul-ledrevolutionaries.
You didn't come here to bypassthe chaos.

(00:44):
You came here to lead throughit.
What if the thing you've beenavoiding grief, visibility, pain
, being seen while you fall flaton your face is actually the
exact thing that holds your nextevolution?
Over the last few weeks, I'vesat down with three incredible

(01:05):
women Nikki Boyer, Jenny Finleyand Grace Chan and while their
stories are wildly different, they each cracked open the same
truth for me Each of them had aninvitation to be courageous, to
be themselves, to be seen as alittle weird or out there to
make choices that didn't fullymake sense on paper, to bring up
topics they were maybe a littleafraid to talk about.

(01:27):
If you've been waiting to feelready to feel more courageous,
let this be your sign, yourinvitation.
This is your time, your lifepath.
Your soul has always beeninviting you to play a bigger
game, and these conversationsreminded me that being seen in
the mess, in the transition, inthe I don't know, is not a

(01:48):
weakness.
That is your soul leading you, calling you forward, and you're
human, responding with totalcourage, willing to learn how to
trust.
And that's a really big deal.
Let's get into it, Okay, May,December is so real, everybody.
It is absolutely insane.
We have a couple more weeksleft of school and I have to go

(02:11):
in literally 25 minutes to goget my kids.
Yeah, we're just going with it,we're going with it.
So here's the deal With everysingle part of my life, with
these interviews that I've beendoing with my personal life.
Right now, the lesson is soclear.
What is it going to take foryou to actually step into your
courage and do the thing thatyou came here to do?

(02:33):
Because not everybody is doingit and there's many, many
totally valid reasons.
Why not right the politicalinstability?
Why not right?
The political instability, theuncertain job market, global
unrest, and I would argue, actually, that all of those
reasons are exactly the fuelthat you need to actually do the

(02:54):
thing.
The world has never neededpeople to be in their power and
in their light more.
This is the time that we've beenpreparing for, and I want to
make it clear that everybodylistening has their own job to
do.
My guides often show it to melike being in a choir.
When you're in a choir, everybody has their own parts,
their own notes to sing.
Right.
When you're in a choir, youalso learn.

(03:17):
These are the spots you take abreath, these are the line
breaks in the music.
If you run out of air, don'tkeep singing.
It's really fascinating, but inpractice, what that looks like

(03:47):
is getting quiet, Every singleone of us having the chance,
creating the space to get quiet.
Fill ourselves up with energy, choosing our intention, and then
, as soon as we're ready, filledup, we take the action we're
led to do, Because many of usaren't living this way.
We're running around like achicken with our head cut off

(04:09):
and putting out fires literaland figurative fires everywhere,
trying to just keep up, andit's absolutely insane If
there's no grounding, if there'sno connecting, if there's no
filling up, you will absolutelyburn out.
It's math Filling up your carwith gas is not luxury, right?

(04:30):
So why do we treat ourselves asif taking the time for
ourselves to connect to spirit, fill up, do the meditation, do
the grounding?
Why are we treating that like aluxury?
It's not.
It's non-negotiable, especiallyin times like these when we
need you at the most powerful, most heart-led, most courageous,
most passionate that you'veever been.

(04:54):
This time that we're living inthis is not a sprint.
This is a marathon, and evenmarathon training.
We learn how to nourishourselves in order to avoid
injury, so that we have thestamina for the entire journey.
You can absolutely doeverything, but how you choose
to care for yourself through itand what you prioritize will
determine at what cost and howquickly and how effectively you

(05:15):
move through.
All of these choices are rootedin our concept of self and what
we're truly here to do, Ourunderstanding of what our soul
is if we're connected to it atall and what we're truly here to
do as a soul having a humanexperience.
If we all have our own jobs todo, then that means that we can

(05:36):
still be aware we can still stayinformed of everything
happening, but we have to useour own power and our own
discernment in order todetermine what happens next,
where our attention goes andwhere our action goes.
If we're just doom scrolling allthe time, if we are flooding
ourselves with stress hormonesand not doing anything about it,
that's not it.

(05:58):
You're not helping yourself andyou're not helping the
collective.
What's needed is for your heartto actually break open to the
utmost compassion for yourselfand for every single other being
on this planet.
That's the first step.
That's how the light finallygets in.
Feel all the feelings, feel thegrief, feel the rage, feel the
terror, feel all of it.
And then you have a choice.

(06:19):
What are you going to do andfrom what energy are you going
to do it?
Are you going to do it byworking with spirit behind the
scenes?
Are you going to partner witheverybody who is in spirit, who
has experienced suffering, whoknows exactly what is so scary
and heartbreaking?
Can you live in service and inhonor of all of those in

(06:42):
non-physical who are rooting youon to use your time, use your
body, use your physical wisely,powerfully?
This can be oh my gosh, I'mgetting hot flashes.
Right now.
This can be your opportunity tostep into your soul's impact,
or you can live as a human, intotal overwhelm, disconnection,

(07:07):
rage and fear and just stay athome and don't do anything.
You have a choice.
Everyone does.
Over the past week, in severalinstances, I've been shown
beyond a shadow of a doubt thatevery single one of us is given
our own little tiny activationcode, our own understanding of
how things work and the way thatwe show up to that work,

(07:30):
whether it's through art, through song, through activism,
through fundraising, throughteaching, through parenting,
through any flavor, any flavorof what you're purpose.
Your soul is called here to doright now, in this moment,
because it's different again foreverybody, every single one of
us.
If we just show up and do ourpart, it's none of our business

(07:56):
where the effect of that goes.
If we are in the moment, showing up with love and
presence, with conviction, withcourage, that experience, that
energy will absolutely reach whoit needs to reach at the exact
right time.
You're listening to this now.

(08:16):
I'm recording this now, Friday,May 30th, at 1149 AM.
That's not when you'relistening to this.
Not every single personlistening to this is even
listening at the same time.
This is coming into your earsat the exact right time for you
and because of the way we've allgrown up in a capitalistic
society, we've been taught thatin order to earn any kind of

(08:37):
love, support, care, rest, joy, money, we've been taught that we
have to hustle and try andeffort and prove that we're
worthy, that we've done enough.
And I want to present to you areally loud lesson that just
came in for me this week.
Where in your life do you thinkthat you trying to solve all the

(09:01):
problems for everyone in yourown personal life and in the
world?
Where are you acting out ofhustle and trying to prove,
thinking that that will finallyget the universe to support you,
to change the world in some way?
What if this is youropportunity to realize that,

(09:22):
just because you've been taughtthat hustling, that trying and
efforting would be enough toearn you some crumbs that you're
supposed to be grateful for?
What if this is youropportunity to flip it on its
head a little bit?
What if you don't need to dothat?
What if you working with theuniverse is just a thought and

(09:42):
intention away?
What if you?
Simply listening to thispodcast and opening some space
to that awareness is enough ofan invitation to say I'm ready
to start to trust, I'm ready tostart to see things in a
different way and because of yousimply showing up and opening
the door, your spirit team, theenergy, the universe, love God,

(10:05):
whatever words you use has theopportunity to meet you halfway.
It doesn't have to be human hardto have an impact and to make
change in the world, unlessthat's where you want to live
Absolutely.
You absolutely have a choice tostay in hustle world.
I've been there for years.

(10:27):
It sucks.
I don't want to live that waybecause I know a better way.
I know a different way, a morepowerful way, a faster way, a
way that's full of so much morelove and connection that you
couldn't possibly even imagine, and it's so magical and fun.
Things just fall into my lapwithout me trying and worrying
about it, and every single timeI get into the control and the

(10:49):
worry and the fear, everythingfeels hard and things are
overwhelming and it sucks.
And then I realized, oh wait, Ican actually do it a different
way.
And then things start movingreally quickly again.
It works, it is.
It's just energy.

(11:12):
So, in the words of the great DrBrené Brown in her talk the
Anatomy of Trust.
She talks about how trustrequires consistency over time
and that's built throughinteractions over and over and
over again.
By doing things this way, youdon't have to go out all of a
sudden and quit your job on dayone and say, universe, catch me.

(11:33):
That's not what I'm talkingabout.
I'm talking about learning totrust yourself and the universe
in small interactions, lowstakes ways.
Universe, can you show me afeather today?
I would like to see a feather.
And learning how to releasethat request without any

(11:55):
attachment to it and being opento allowing the feedback to come
back.
That's the game.
It's not running around lookingfor a feather and making it
work, and it's also not allright.
Universe, prove it, you asshole.
I mean.
I'm sure, for somebodysomewhere out there it probably
is, but it's not as fun doing itthat way, is it?

(12:15):
And by controlling everythingso much, you're also not going
to have as much fun in theanticipation and the wonder of
oh, how is the universe going tosurprise me today?
So that's just one little gamethat I like to play in the very
beginning stages of building upthat trust muscle and, in terms
of practical application, takingsmall steps to prove to

(12:36):
yourself that you are courageous, that you can do hard things,
is so important.
My 10-year-old is going to be inthe Little Mermaid this weekend
and she's been in rehearsalsfor months and, if you've been
listening at all, I majored intheater at USC.
My husband is a 20-year actoryears ago now, but we both have
a background in this and inorder to be seen, it takes a lot

(13:00):
of courage.
In order to be seen as avillain Ava's playing Ursula to
be seen as a villain Ava'splaying Ursula For a good little
girl, that's taking a lot ofcourage.
To be extra, to be bigger thanbig, to be evil and dramatic
that takes so much courage, especially at 10 years old, and

(13:21):
she did have a time when she waslike, oh my gosh, mama, can I
just quit?
I don't want to do this playanymore.
It's really scary.
I don't want to do it.
Yeah and no.
No, you can't just quit.
You've made a commitment.
These people are counting onyou to put on a show and the
point of this is to have funanyway.
And yeah, you might forget yourlines.
You might fall down on stage.
That might happen, but whathappens after?

(13:43):
That is the experience that'sso important.
If you forget your line onstage, you can say line and
somebody will be there to giveyou the line because you're 10
years old, it's okay.
If you fall down, how can youuse that with your character?
How can you stand back up andkeep going?
And the more experiences youhave like that, where you do

(14:05):
mess up, where you do fall flaton your face and somebody who
says something or watches you orthe worst case scenario happens
and somebody who says somethingor watches you or the worst
case scenario happens, havingexperiences like that in
controlled environments, is thething, over and over, that will
build your trust muscle, notonly for yourself but also for
the universe.
Catching you in the actions ofother people, how others show up

(14:27):
in surprising ways and I knowif you're listening to this,
you've probably had experiencesin your own life when you're
just down for the count andmaybe some people show up for
you in ways that you could nothave possibly expected or
controlled into existence.
That is one flavor ofdeveloping that trust muscle
having life happen and seeingwhat happens next.

(14:50):
So, just like in a choir, justlike in a play, you have your
own part to play and it's up toyou to play it full out, leaving
everything on the stage andletting whatever is going to
happen next happen, but knowing,or developing the knowing, that
you will do something next, that somebody will be there for

(15:16):
you, that you'll be able tofigure it out, and that takes so
much courage.
To be literally seen in themess in the moment, that takes
so much courage.
And, at the end of the day,it's not about the song you're
singing in the choir and it'snot the part you're playing in
the play, and it's not evenabout the play.
It's about you and it's aboutshowing up.

(15:39):
So, coming back to the episodesthat we've had so far, we've had
Grace, who's the firstgeneration to be able to have a
creative and successful career.
We have Jenny, who is talkingabout living in a time the first
generation of women whereyou're able to have a successful
career and business.
You can be a business owner ifyou want to.

(15:59):
You can have the problem offiguring out how to manage
motherhood and business, or havethe conversation of what gender
roles look like.
Can we even throw them out andstart over?
Throw them out and start over?
And we have Nikki, whose firstcalling was to show up and be
present with her best friend whowas dying, and now it's turned
into a global reach of love andfriendship and what it means to

(16:23):
truly live.
And she's also actively workingwith her best friend on the
other side.
And all of these are examplesof what it really looks like to
be a soul level human.
What does it look like to justlive with this awareness that
this thing isn't forever, thatjust by being here you're making

(16:44):
a difference in somebody's lifeand you won't even know how or
why, necessarily till way later, till you're on your way out
probably?
And I hope this awareness isalso able to take some pressure
off already.
Right, you don't have to savethe world.
It's not your job to save theentire world.
That's ego.
Again, I'm hearing so much ofthe narrative on TikTok about

(17:05):
the chosen one, that you're thechosen one, and I got that
transmission like a year ago.
Yes, it's the chosen one to beyou.
It's not the chosen one thatthis world would have no hope if
you weren't here.
That's not it.
It's more that you are thechosen one to play this role at

(17:25):
this time in this body.
And how are you going to chooseto play it?
Are you going to maybe notmemorize your lines or show up
half-assed and say, well, Ididn't try.
So if I fail it's not a bigdeal.
If all the world is a stage andwe are all merely players this
play is not forever.
But how we play it is a choice.

(17:48):
And if every single person inthis play is playing full out
choice, and if every singleperson in this play is playing
full out in character, makingcourageous choices and working
together telepathically, I mean,if you've ever been on stage,
then you know that there arelooks out of the corner of your
eye that connect and communicatevolumes across the stage.
This is actually real In reallife.

(18:10):
This is happening too.
So I hope this episode findsyou in a place where you're
ready to feel a little bit morecourage than before, Ready to
step one foot in the directionof where you know you're being
led.
But it doesn't make sense onpaper or it's really outside of
your comfort zone.

(18:30):
You don't have to jump off acliff, but you can inch forward
and feel your way there.
So, with love, how can you bebrave today?
How can you let your soul drivetoday?
What might loving yourself alittle bit better today look
like?
And something that I have myclients and students do when
they're in the middle oflearning and reprogramming.

(18:52):
How to be just a little kinderto themselves is get a picture
of yourself, maybe four to sevenyears old, and put it on your
phone screen.
Put it in a place where you seeit every day, maybe where you
brush your teeth and just say hi, hi, little me, I'm going to
take care of you today and I'mgoing to make you proud today.
Today, and I'm here for you andI'm listening.

(19:13):
So take a snapshot of your life.
Would that kid be proud of you?
Would they feel safe with you?
Would they think you're veryfun?
Would they want to hang outwith you?
Do something today that makesthose answers a yes.
And if there's people whoaren't here, who you love,
who've opened the door for you,Maybe include a picture of them
too.
Hey, that person is rooting youon.

(19:36):
How would that person tell youto be more courageous today?
How would they help you takethe pressure off a little bit?
How would they help you enjoyyour life just a little bit?
Maybe just have a conversation.
I'm going to also put a song inthe show notes that came through
today as something to sharewith you.
It's called Stars and it's justa little comfort tune.

(19:57):
I hope that brings you a littlebit more levity and joy today,
and just a reminder that it isdark in a lot of ways, but there
is so much light.
You are here, I'm here, there'smillions of other people just
like you and me that are here.
All is not lost and it's just amatter of showing up.

(20:18):
And when you can't show up, letyourself rest and ask for help
and receive that help.
And being open to receivingwhatever that might look like is
exactly right too, is exactlyright too.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
I'll see you next week.
