🏁 Sprint Car Daily — Oct. 10, 2025 | Outlaws Return to NJ, Lincoln Tribute, USAC Fall Nationals, Aussie & NZ Updates

It’s Friday, October 10, 2025 — welcome to Episode 23 of the Sprint Car Daily, presented by RACECARIllustrated.com.

The Outlaws begin the final stretch of their Northeast swing tonight with a rare stop at New Jersey’s New Egypt Speedway, marking their 10th visit and first since 2017 (David Gravel the most recent winner). Donny Schatz owns two wins here, while Daryn Pittman leads the track’s all-time Outlaw list with four. Saturday will be emotional at Lincoln Speedway (PA) as the Outlaws “turn Lincoln Scruffy” to honor the late Bobby Allen, who passed away at 81. Allen famously lived in the Lincoln ticket booth early in his career and went on to win 75 races plus three track championships at the Abbottstown oval. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite Scruffy gear. Four current Outlaws have Lincoln wins: Buddy Kofoid (most recent), Gravel and Schatz (two each), and Sheldon Haudenschild. Locals Troy Wagaman Jr. (points leader), Freddie Rahmer, Chase Dietz, and Danny Dietrich headline a deep home field.

USAC National Sprints headline a double at Lawrenceburg Speedway (IN). Friday is the Greg Staab Memorial, paying $6,544 to win in tribute to the late Staab’s No. 44. Saturday’s Fall Nationals ups the ante with $20,000 to win and an extra Hoosier TriFecta bonus battle between Justin Grant and Logan Seavey worth up to another $20,000 depending on finishing order. Seavey is defending Fall Nationals champ and recent Burg winner; Grant won there in April; KTJ leads all-time Fall Nationals wins with three. Looking ahead, Winter Dirt Games 2026 kicks off Feb. 8–10 with practice at Ocala and six straight nights split between Volusia and Ocala. A $24,000 point fund and strong nightly purses await drivers like defending champ Kyle Cummins, Grant, Seavey, Bacon, and Pursley.

Australia: Uncertainty remains around Sydney International Speedway’s 2025/26 season and specifically the proposed Hi-Tec Oils Super Series after vague statements from management. Avalon Raceway hosts its Wingless Sprint 50-lapper as the only major action this weekend. One week out, Perth Motorplex fires up for Power-Palooza and the launch of the 24-round Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series, featuring stars like Dayne Kingshott, Callum Williamson, James Inglis, and Kaiden Manders.

New Zealand: The sprint car season opens Oct. 25 at Baypark Speedway (Mt. Maunganui), with Ruapuna to follow. NZ’s unique, tight tracks have produced talents like Michael Pickens and fostered chapters of burgeoning young careers like Buddy Kofoid — expect vibrant racing all season.

Also this weekend: High Limit in Kansas, ASCS returns after a break, NARC 410 at Antioch, USAC East Coast at New Egypt, Avalon Wingless, and more.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
