This is Thanks I'll take it fromhere.
The podcast where we dig into the stories we love, love to
hate or can't stop thinking about.
I've already dropped a full breakdown in Easter egg episode
for Jenny and Georgia season 3, so if you missed that,
definitely check it out. But today we are keeping it fun
and diving into our reactions and some bold series for season

(00:27):
4. And I am not alone.
Joining me are Erica and Caitlin, who, like me, have a
lot of thoughts about this season.
We actually met at the Jenny andGeorgia Advanced screening at
the 92nd St. Y with Brianne Howie and Antonia
Gentry. As soon as we started talking, I
knew they'd be perfect for guests on this episode.

(00:50):
So let's jump in. How are we feeling now that
Season 3 is out? Are we spiraling?
Are we pretending we're fine? Are we somewhere in between
that? Like, what are our feelings?
This is a safe space. It's my entire personality
trait, like my entire personality trait Right now.
I can't talk about anything else.

(01:10):
I have asked everyone if they watched it, and I have bullied
people into watching it. At our family dinner this week
for my nephew's graduation, I was like, all right, so who's
watching Ginny in Georgia? And if you didn't watch it, I
need you to watch it now. This is the type of bullying I
support. I think it's OK.
We need a humble people a bit. I also like get angry when

(01:32):
people haven't finished it yet. Like I have things I need to
speak on. I was with friends that have
finished and friends that were like don't say anything.
And I'm like, well, you're the odd one out.
Either finish the show or leave the room.
Like I need to talk about this. Why is no one finishing it in
one sitting? What are you doing?
There's so many hours in a day. And they all should be
contributing to Jenny and Georgia season.
Three, I will never understand how anyone stopped after each

(01:54):
episode. I was like, OK, well now I need
the next one. And then after episode 10 I'm
like, well now I need the other season.
I felt that way too. Then I looked at the clock and
it said 3:00 AM and I was like, you know what?
I may need to pack this up untiltomorrow.
I wasn't able to sleep though after it left me like that.
I was like what am I gonna do for like 2 years now?
So Speaking of Season 3, what was your personal I need a

(02:18):
moment scene from this season? I'll say for me, the moment that
wrecked me was when Georgia's kids ripped from her arms in
front of the camera. I think I even messaged one of
you. It was just like season 3
episode 5 broke me. Like that scene was just
jarring. I think that was the one that I
had to sit and be like, I can't go to the next episode yet.

(02:38):
I think also because it went straight from the self harm.
I think personally, that was thefirst time Georgia put herself
second in her feelings second. Like I think you saw a true
growth there. I know a lot of people are
saying it's like the episode 8 or like episode 6, but I really
think it's that when she what's her feelings about the poem
aside and reminds Jenny of how beautiful her writing is in

(03:01):
general. No matter what her subject was
about, even though it was about her mom and it was hurtful to
her, she knew that she needed tonot worry about that.
I think that was the first time you saw Georgia really not care
about how it's affecting her, but it just went straight into
them being ripped out of her arms.
I was just like Brienne Howie's acting.
It was a master class. I know I smell the ambience.

(03:22):
She needs to get something for that acting.
It was on point this. I've always liked it.
The amount that it has stepped up to.
I think it's because she had a kids.
But yeah, season 5, I mean well,season 3 episode 5.
Manifesting a Season 5, yeah. Just throwing it out there.
I didn't have any words after it.
Like my heart broke for her and I don't even have kids.
And her look, when it was Zion standing there, I was like this

(03:45):
jerk. I was so angry with that and I
was so upset. And then just the betrayal on
that alone. And.
Seeing Benny Clockett in that moment too, that it was Zion and
her being ripped away when she was in that need of her mom
right then. I agree.
And then also just to see Austinhave to go with Gil was.
Heartbreaking. Yeah, he doesn't know that man.
I feel like this season was a lot of people's villain origin

(04:08):
story. It was luckily Gil was already
there so we knew that pre established.
But I always have kind of like hard feelings towards he's kind
of like, I don't like to comparethe show to Gilmore Girls cuz
it's not. But he's like the Christopher.
He was able to go get his life together and then come back and
be like, hey, I'm here what I miss and also let me protect

(04:30):
you. And I'm like, Zion did that from
Episode 1. He was an absentee and he could
have changed that easily. He could have been like, I won't
do this. I'll get a different kind of job
and be there for you. Even though she also kind of
said you do you, but at the sametime, like you don't have to
listen to her. You could have been there for
your child. The men in Georgia's life, I
realized especially in season 3,don't know how to take

(04:50):
accountability and something I talk about in my breakdown
episode and this is going to trigger a lot of Mayor Paul
stands. Which is weird.
He is not the noble victim that social media presents him to be
like. He is messy and he doesn't know
how to take accountability. He blames Georgia for like,

(05:11):
everything that's gone bad with his political career, as if he
didn't choose to marry a woman he barely knew who.
Had just slept with another man like why are you proposing after
you just found out she slept with her like.
She literally slept with her ex and then you're like, OK, so
let's get married. You don't know this girl.
She just lost her husband, what, two months ago?

(05:31):
Three months ago? And.
He works in the White Knight. And also like, sorry Paul, this
is your job, not her job. This is your career.
And like to blame it the downfall on Georgia.
I'm like, well maybe you should be better at damage control.
And I don't know, if you were that worried about how you
presented then show up to court.Your choices weren't great
either. As a husband.

(05:53):
Also Nick, he annoyed me too. Nick was played and he didn't
even like take that into consideration.
That's my that's not. I'm like this bro used you the
whole time and you're still out here.
I'd be like, girl, no bye. I think what's interesting with
Nick is I think his character this season helped to paint a

(06:13):
picture for me that Paul is really manipulative.
When Nick went to quit and Paul was like, no, you're not
quitting. And then he ended up firing him
anyway because he's just like, my life sucks because of you,
Sir. Why can you not take
accountability as if Nick somehow could have prevented him
from marrying the mayor S murderess?

(06:34):
How could he have done that? What is the product of white
privileged rich boy? In my breakdown episode I
literally called him a privileged fat bro in khakis.
Exactly. He is, he is.
He loves. A good one.
College. You know he loved a frat party.
Yeah. So Speaking of the messy men of

(06:55):
Wellsbury, I kind of want to know what are some of your like
couple pairings that you would love to see in season 4?
And I'm going to give one that is so unhinged and I hope this
is a safe space. I know Erica's answer already.
Mine is Mayor Paul and Cynthia. I love a messy and enemies to

(07:17):
lover arc. Mine was Cynthia and Georgia.
Yeah, I knew that was Erica's answer.
Not, but not really bad. I think it would be kind of
iconic to see Georgia have a little get away from the men.
They're not working for you, girl.
But Paul and Cynthia would be good.
That would be like the best chaos.
Erica, did you like how they showcase Abby's relationship and

(07:40):
finding herself with the Tris storyline this season?
I'm curious what your perspective of that was.
I thought it was pretty natural. The only thing that I was weird
was the Samantha part. I don't know if they just put
that in for her to be like, oh, wait, I like that kiss.
But I just like I'm all people. That was weird.
And to go from the topic they were talking about to like a

(08:01):
little low key make out. But I like the development
between Abby and Trish. I thought that was really,
really good and like pretty typical high school.
And I like that they didn't makeit a huge thing about it being a
queer like relationship. It was just Abby has a crush on

(08:23):
her tutor and that was that was the story.
And I think Jenny and Georgia captures that well with like the
queer plot lines is there's no huge coming out moment.
It's just it is what it is. But with Abby, there is still a
little like Max is the friend that's that's gay and to has
queer relationships. So with her not wanting to like
tell Max right away which. That's oh, we'll get into that.

(08:46):
Oh, yeah, I just, but I, I, I get that too.
Because she didn't want it to bea big deal either.
So I think, yeah, I really likedit.
I think this is really good for Abby.
And Caitlin, who are you secretly shipping any crazy
pairings or is there anyone thatis kind of already have an

(09:06):
established relationship that you want to see continue to
grow? Joe in Georgia, which I don't
think will come right away, but I think it will come later on at
some point because hopefully Georgia kind of like figures her
life out a little bit more. But down the road, I kind of
want to see Max and Abby get together, like Max work out some
things and then Abby being her support system.

(09:27):
That segues actually perfectly into my next question.
Can we just talk about Max this season?
Because social media is in a tizzy about her character.
So what are your thoughts? Like, did she get what she
deserved? Is she being bullied?
What are you guys thinking abouthow her story arc went this
season? It's heartbreaking.

(09:49):
I think that Max is the only friend that wholeheartedly
supported Georgia always, even from season 1 when Nora and her
little mom were weird. Do you mean Jenny?
She supported Jenny. That's Yeah.
Well, like, she supported Georgia in the aspect of like,
didn't believe Georgia was guilty, didn't believe Georgia
was a bad mom. And in the season 1 when Nora

(10:11):
and her mom found out that Georgia had a gun and all of
that and they were weird. Max was still very much pro
Georgia, more Jenny. And then she was the only one
that was like, we need a rally around her.
And she does that for all of herfriends.
I think so many people feel her pain because in high school, big
groups of friends are there amazing, but they're toxic and
they're messy and someone is always left out.

(10:32):
And I think they gaslit her a little bit.
Not to use the word gaslighting, but they were like, we're not
not inviting. You didn't tell a whole story
about how they didn't invite herto go egg a house.
Like if I'm egg in a house, I'm inviting like all my friends to
go egg the house. Like, I don't know.
I think that they were mean to Max and Jenny was very cruel
then towards Mac. Yeah, I feel the same way as she

(10:52):
welcomed Ginny into their group and was there for her.
But the way they treated her this season, I felt awful
because like Erica said, having a multiple friends in one group,
there's always going to be that left out feeling.
I hated how Ginny was like, oh we're just growing apart and
basically left it at that. She was always there for you
even when she needed her help toget in the house.
Then being like, oh, we grew apart.

(11:14):
She literally just helped you get to your mom's house without
being seen. She's the one who was there for
you when you needed that, so I hated how they treated her.
I'm going to challenge both of you a little bit.
And what you said, let's not forget how Max treated Abby and
Jenny after Season 1. I feel like it wasn't just
dramatic. It was kind of mean and

(11:34):
bullying. I think that's fresh for them,
right? And I feel like when it comes to
Max, things sometimes feel bigger than they need to be.
And I think maybe her friends feel like they need to walk on
egg shells with her. We as the viewer know that
that's because she's grown up ina home with a brother who's
always needed more, whether that's more emotional bandwidth,

(11:56):
more support, it's led to her kind of always being
performative so she doesn't feelleft out and excluded.
We as the viewer, we see that and we understand that.
I think her friends don't see that and they don't understand
that, and that's why they don't extend her any grace.
And I think that's what we saw this season.
Yeah, I think the Abby and JennyMarcus storyline, it was a very

(12:20):
high school fight, very much like you didn't tell me you were
dating my brother. I feel like Abby was left out
quite a bit in the first season and her her emotions weren't
really ever catered to at that. And I think Abby's growing a
little more of a backbone now tostand up towards Max.
But I I think. They all have.
Yeah. And I just, I think though, I

(12:41):
think with Jenny sometimes she'sso quick to judge other people
and say like, you weren't there for me for this.
You only think about you, where maybe it's not like she's
consciously doing it, but she's the same way towards Max, I
think. I think she gets what she needs
from Max and then forgets she's there when someone else is
there. I think Jenny uses Max when she

(13:03):
needs Max and kind of relies on her as a backup person knowing
she's always going to be there. I feel like that's a learned
behavior from her mom. It is for sure the kind of two
of the same with how they treat relationships.
And Speaking of Georgia, we haveto talk about the cliffhanger
with the baby because I feel like this was one of the biggest

(13:25):
question marks of this season. It's been confirmed she is
pregnant. So who do you guys think the
father is? Well, I wanted to be Joe, but I
don't think it's Joe because I think to add to the story, it's
going to be Paul. But I wanted to be Joe.
But I know probably deep down they're going to make it Paul
and make that like a whole storyline in itself with him not

(13:48):
believing her, that he's the baby daddy with the whole
situation from before, and then like questioning her.
I don't know. I think you can still be juicy
with Joe. I think they can still drag the
storyline on because obviously there's going to be a whole few
episodes where she was pregnant and they don't know.
And so Paul is still going to bemessy.
I think it could be Joe's. I think that Joe is Georgia's

(14:11):
end of toxicity. I think we're seeing Jenny take
that, that darker side now and Ikind of see it even how they
were dressed in the end. I think it was kind of a tribute
to how the next few, Oh well, atleast next season, I think
they'll probably do five seasons.
I know Sarah always said 4, but I don't think they're going to
end. Five seasons of the movie.

(14:33):
Exactly. But I think that it's Joe's and
I think Paul, the the story can continue without Paul after
that. I don't think he's needed.
I think there's maybe a whole mayor storyline, even if he is
needed and he'll probably use her pregnancy, bring up the fact
that she lied to him. That'll probably be used against
her as well. But I think it's kind of her

(14:56):
getting the guy that she's always deserved in the life that
she's deserved. I really think we're going to
see a different Georgia from here on out.
Yeah, I, I think, I think it's Joe.
I agree with what you were saying.
I have a theory. The showrunner confirmed that
next season is all about cycles and it's all about Georgia and
Austin, which is interesting. My theory is that Joe is the

(15:20):
father of the child because I think what we've seen so far is
this show is all about Georgia repeating the same messy
patterns, right? She tries to move on and keep
her past buried. So I think a baby with Joe would
make that cycle impossible not to break and I think that's kind
of where we're going to go. Side note, do you guys think

(15:41):
this baby's name is going to be like Barry for like Wellsbury?
Yeah, I hope this is the first baby that gets like an actual
name, just like a family name, maybe one of Joe's family name.
It's going to. Be a milkshake.
It's going to be milkshake. Milkshake of milkshake basic
nickname. I'm convinced it's going to be
Barry for Wellsbury. This actually ties really well

(16:02):
into my next question. What are our Season 4 theories?
George is going to run for mayor.
I definitely see her running formayor and drama between her and
Paul since he's recalled and I think since they showed her mom
and her stepdad running by, they're going to throw some
drama in there. They'll kind of get payback for
her shooting her stepped out in the hand.

(16:22):
Yeah, I think she's running for mayor.
I saw maybe Nick would run and Georgia would join his team, but
I think Georgia's gonna run and Nick will join with Georgia team
because Nick's very career basedand he knows George has got the
platform right now. He always like admitted that she
had good ideas and also the whole thing when she hired the

(16:43):
guy to make the noise like that kind of was genius.
And just to be clear for our listeners, when she says make
the noise, she is referring to Georgia hiring someone to make
the loud noises drilling the ground while people were voting
for bringing big business or notto Wells Berry.

(17:03):
So I think you guys have some really great theories.
I think we're going to learn more about George's dad,
especially with her going to therapy.
I think maybe we can learn that George's dad was framed by the
mom and stepdad. And George's dad was trying to
take her. Yeah, I I could totally see
that. And I I think we'll get to see

(17:25):
more of her dad. I think that's what they were
teasing at this season. I think Austin is going to kill
Georgia's stepdad. OK, OK, so here's what I was
going to say because I was like,I wanted to get to that, but I
think Austin is either going to kill them or Jenny is going to
do something. I think George is done with the
killing. One of the kids is going to do
something. They could see Jenny.

(17:46):
She felt that power and she feltwhat it was like to get that
power. And then she was like, oh, this
is what it feels like. And This is why Georgia has been
the way she's been her whole life, because of this feeling.
We saw some of her best acting in that one episode, not even
speaking, just the court scene of it panning over in her face
and the plan working. And you see Antonia's face

(18:06):
completely stained to snarky andGeorgia's smile.
You know, when Georgia gets awaywith something, that smile, you
see it. And I was like, oh, we haven't
seen this. I think all of these actors,
they get so much to work with this season that you could see
so much growth. But I was like, Oh my God, I'm
scared. And like that court scene with

(18:27):
Jenny's smile when she realized that her plan worked.
I was just like, oh, that's that.
That's her mother. And to see Georgia not be in on
it, she was just as baffled. Because George is always the
one. She's one step ahead.
And this time Jenny was 2 steps.Ahead and when Jenny was like,
just make sure that you know herdoing all of that was worth it

(18:48):
to her mom. I was just like, what is she
going to do if it is it like, I don't know who Jenny is anymore?
I always wonder, you know, what the voice overs is this going to
play into how the show's those end, even with Crazy Man.
I mean, they always say that maybe Meredith's writing a book
and for when she has Alzheimer's.
And this is kind of like at the end of the series, you're going
to see the voice overs as like abook of Meredith Gray.

(19:11):
Like, is the ending of it like Georgia and Jenny writing a book
together? Kind of, I don't know.
So I'm always wondering of like with voice overs.
Can you imagine Georgia having abook?
It would probably be called likethe Hot Mess Express.
Yes, and I would buy it. There, murderer.
I could see her like on a Real Housewives show too.
I always say that she would thrive on mom talk.

(19:33):
Speaking of mom talk, you know how in mom talk they always say
will mom talk survive this? Will Meng survive to season 4?
What do you guys think? As I was watching season 3 I was
just like will Meng survive this?
Yeah, I think that's just high school friendships, toxic and
messy. And especially in groups when

(19:55):
you get older, you kind of get past that.
I mean, I'm still best friends with all of my like who my Meng
would be. We are still in the group chat.
There's four of us. But I think I personally.
Would like to see maybe Max branch out and find other
people. Was there something that
happened this season that made you feel that way?
The abortion storyline, Jenny told Nora and Abby.

(20:20):
And I think what bothered me themost is like, Max is the reason
you were able to get to your mom.
Yeah, that annoyed me so much. Max helped you get to your mom
to help you with the situation, and Max has no idea.
Like what? Happened.
That's a very personal story, like obviously, but I was like,
oh, what about Max? Yeah, I would love to see maybe
Max find some different, some different friends, but still

(20:43):
have Ming. I would like to see them stay
together because I really do like Ming.
I think they're fun and cute and.
Yeah, I hope they're able to 1 fall apart because I think
sometimes things can't be fixed until it's fully broken and
build something better, right? I love seeing this season how
Abby, Nora and Jenny were able to be so vulnerable with each

(21:06):
other and open up. And I just, I hope that they're
able to eventually do that with Max and Max is able to open up
with them too, because I don't feel like Max really opens up
about her home life a lot to them, it seems.
That's why I said I don't think they extend her grace.
Does anyone know besides his family that he's struggling with
alcohol and maybe Georgia? I feel like that's not really

(21:29):
the known thing. No, I think Max was the only
one, even her. Parents.
She was looking at her parents, like, what are you doing?
He needs to be rehab. They're like, we don't want him
getting left behind. Yeah.
But he's. Behind to go to rehab like why
is Max parenting? That's a heavy burden.
No, it is to be the one that's not struggling and the one

(21:49):
that's kind of like, yeah, I'm OK.
I'm on a basic level and I don'thave these deep, deep, deep
parable things, but struggling too.
Like I'm still here. I'm human and I have feelings.
Yeah. So before we wrap the episode,
does anyone have any other finalthoughts, wild theories,
anything they want to have kind of add before we wrap up?

(22:10):
Oh gosh, anything. That really stuck with you that
we haven't mentioned yet. Anything you're excited for?
Is Georgia keeping the baby You know we're talking about?
She is pregnant Well. She keeps a baby well.
She kept all of them since. Exactly.
And that's the first one. I think it's Joe's.
I think Joe's the end game. Good for her.
But yeah, I don't know. I'm interested to see how a new

(22:33):
kid works and. Right.
And if we follow her normal patterns, they could be living
somewhere else like. Please don't.
I hope not. The only thing that I really
wanted to mention the whole Marcus hating himself and that
whole breakdown of how he was like, it's not you, it's me, I
hate me. That was just so heartbreaking.

(22:54):
And as someone who has depression and anxiety, I just
really like how they always mention mental health and they
mention it not in a glorious wayeither.
I think they're doing a great job and it really broke my heart
seeing him breakdown saying how he hates himself.
Well, I agree. And I want to give you guys a
huge shout out and thank you forcoming on this episode and just

(23:15):
sharing your takes, whether theywere hot takes that people may
agree with or disagree with. I appreciate the openness, the
vulnerability. Thank you for laughing and over
analyzing with me. And shout out to everyone that
was a part of Jenny and Georgia Season 3.
You guys killed it. This has been another episode.
Thanks, I'll take it from here. Make sure you subscribe, follow
