Unknown (00:00):
Have you ever felt like
you're working hard, kicking off
(00:03):
tasks all day, yet somehow younever get around to the
important stuff, like you'realways busy, but you're never
moving forward. Trust me, I'vebeen there. I've used to start
my days by knocking off all theeasy stuff, the quick wins, just
to feel productive, right?
Emails, admin, little tasksaround the business. And you
(00:23):
know what? At the time, it feltgood, right until one day that
it just didn't. Because despitefeeling productive, I wasn't
actually achieving anythingsignificant. I was just staying
busy. I remember clearly onemorning sitting at my desk
feeling completely overwhelmed.
(00:44):
Despite having already workedfor hours, I'd done countless
minor tasks, but that big, crucial project, the one that
could really move the needle, hadn't even been touched yet. It
was, you know, a frustrating,Soul draining feeling, and then
I discovered the concept ofeating the frog doing the
(01:04):
hardest, most impactful tasksfirst thing in the morning. And
at first, I hated the idea. Itseemed like counter intuitive.
Why not build momentum bygetting the small things done
first? It made sense doing theeasy things first. But the day I
finally tried, it changedeverything. I tackled a tough
gym session first thing, andthen immediately after, I dove
(01:26):
straight into a challengingbusiness task that I'd been
avoiding when I finished, thesense of achievement was
incredible. Not only had Iknocked out something
meaningful, but the rest of theday felt really easy. It's
easier to do easy tasks at theend of the day, when you're
tired than when you're not. Butwhen I realised true
(01:47):
productivity isn't about beingbusy, it's about doing the right
things at the right time, andthat's what the smart mind
framework is all about. So Ididn't always have a smart
mindset. In fact, twice in mylife, I hit rock bottom, each
time, teaching me a profoundlesson about mental clarity and,
you know, resilience. The firsttime was back in 2006 I vividly
(02:11):
remember that day. I was sittingat home asleep, when I woke up
and I couldn't breathe. Panicsurged through me. My chest
tightened and I genuinelythought I was about to die right
there, right, right then, right, that moment of pure fear shook
me to my core, and I woke up tothe importance of not just
physical health, but mentalclarity too. And it forced me to
(02:33):
reconsider how I was living mylife and what truly mattered,
which is why I got a personaltraining and sports injury
qualification. But the biggestmental breaking point came
almost a decade later, in 2015from the outside, my life looked
perfect. I own a 500 grand home.
I had all the material comfortsthat anyone could want, and
people looking in. I was livinga dream, but the truth was I was
(02:55):
miserable. My life felt empty. Ididn't have purpose. I was
trapped in a relationship and alifestyle that drained me rather
than energised me. I reached apoint where I knew something had
to drastically change, so I madethe hardest decision of my life.
I left everything behind myhouse, my comfortable lifestyle,
my marriage. I walked away withnothing but a suitcase filled
(03:18):
with clothes and 30,000 poundsworth of debt. It was terrifying
Yet oddly liberating. I moved toWales with Kay, the love of my
life, determined to rebuildeverything from scratch,
starting from less than nothing.
It was humbling, yet it gave methe clarity I desperately
needed. It was a reset and achance to build a life I
(03:41):
genuinely wanted to buildaligned with my my values.
Rebuilding. It was tough. It wasreally bloody tough. Every day
was a battle against doubt, fear, uncertainty, but within
that struggle came immenseclarity. I had a vision for what
I wanted, and for the first timein years, I felt alive. I was no
longer drifting. I deliberatelywas moving forward. And this
(04:04):
clarity didn't come overnight, though. It took intense effort
reflection and a willingness toconfront the uncomfortable
truths about myself. It requiredembracing failure, learning
constantly, and having thehumility to seek help and
education from those who knewmore than I did. Within three
years, the change was immense. Iwent from being 30,000 pounds in
(04:28):
debt to owning a home where eachof my kids had their own room, a
goal that I once thought wasunattainable. My relationships
flourished, my finances improveddramatically, and more
importantly, my mindset hadtransformed completely. The
experience taught me thathitting rock bottom isn't the
end often, it's exactly thereset that we need to build
(04:51):
something truly extraordinary.
It showed me the power ofclarity intention and having a
smart mind. It focused me. Ongrowth and on learning, and
that's why I created the smartmind framework to inspire people
like you who feel overwhelmedjuggling family, work and
dreams, and also people who'vetasted success, yet maybe you
(05:14):
feel stuck and disconnected fromyour true fulfilment and
purpose. I've lived the stress, the uncertainty and the fear,
but I've also experienced theincredible freedom and
empowerment that comes fromdeliberately building a smarter
mind, living life on your terms.
So this is the birth of thesmart mind framework. And again,
(05:38):
everything changed for me in2017 the year that my granddad
passed away, I remember standingthere and feeling deeply moved,
not just because I'd lostsomeone special, but because it
hit me so clearly how temporaryand precious life really is. My
granddad live a life filled withlessons about resilience,
(05:59):
integrity, caring deeply forfamily. It made me reflect
deeply on my own life, and Istarted asking myself some hard
questions, what am I doing withmy time? Am I making a
difference? If I died tomorrow, would I be proud of what I left
behind? I realised that in thatmoment, despite the progress I'd
made since my rock bottommoment, I still didn't have the
(06:20):
clarity that I needed. I didn'thave a structured way of
consistently moving forward andgrowing. Then around the same
time, something else caught myeye. It was like the universe
was nudging me to wake up. Istarted noticing property prices
in Swansea compared to theprices in the SouthEast of
England where I'd lived before.
It absolutely blew my mind.
(06:41):
Houses were so much cheaperhere, I immediately thought, I
can do this. I can buildsomething substantial right
here. At first, though, I made ahuge mistake. I assumed the
biggest barrier to success wasmoney, but it wasn't the real
barrier, as I quicklydiscovered, was my knowledge. I
decided that right then I neededto educate myself. I attended my
(07:03):
first property, cinema seminar, dragging Kay along with me, and
I'll never forget walking intothe room, the energy, the ideas,
the possibilities. It opened myeyes to what I could achieve.
Suddenly, all the limitations Iplaced on myself about what I
needed to succeed evaporated atthat event, I learned it wasn't
money holding me back, it wasthe lack of knowing how things
(07:26):
work. I realised that educationand knowledge were the keys to
unlocking everything that Idreamed of achieving. I went
home from that event multiplestreams of property, income. It
was buzzing with energy and asense of purpose I hadn't felt
in years, I became utterlyobsessed with learning
intentionally every single day.
I committed to feeding my mind, and I started reading more
(07:47):
books, listening to podcasts, watching videos and taking
copious amounts of notes andwriting things down. I had a
stack of journals filling upwith insights, ideas, quotes and
strategies. I began to live byone simple, powerful phrase, if
you write, you invite writingdown what I learned didn't just
help me remember. It forced meto take action and have
(08:08):
something to vision about everysingle day. So during this
process, I revisited TonyRobbins, whose teachings had
previously pulled me out of mydarkest moment. Tony's words hit
me differently this time, because now I had practical
goals tied to them. Tony hadtaught me to think clearly and
expand my vision, but now, paired with the education I got
(08:31):
with property, I wasn't justmotivated, I was empowered to
live better, live more. It wasthrough the intense period of
learning that the smart mindframework began to crystallise,
I recognised that there was apattern of how quickly I was
growing and how much moreeffectively I was now achieving
(08:51):
my goals. It wasn't accidental,it was deliberate. It was
structured, and moreimportantly, it was intentional.
I took everything I'd learnedinto three core principles.
These principles weren't random.
They were precisely the thingsthat transformed my life and
given me the mindset that Ineeded to rebuild from
(09:14):
absolutely nothing to thrivingagain.
Principle number one, this isabout daily information intake
every single day, consciouslyconsume knowledge that fuels
your growth, whether it'sreading physical books,
listening to inspiring podcastsor watching impactful videos,
deliberately feeding your mindisn't optional. It is essential.
(09:38):
Consuming just isn't enough.
Take notes, even if you neverread them again. Writing
solidifies understanding. Itanchors ideas into your
subconscious and primes yourmind to implement the things
that you've learned. And that'sThat's principle number one. So
principle number two, and thisis probably the most important
one, is. Is embracing mistakesand failures. This was probably
(10:01):
the hardest lesson, but also themost impactful. I used to fear
failure because I related itwith embarrassment,
disappointment or eveninadequacy. But what I
discovered is that failure isn'tthe opposite of success, it's
part of it. Mistakes areprofoundly powerful teachers.
When you fail, you feel pain, and because pain is so
(10:24):
uncomfortable, your brain playsclose attention to it. Those
lessons stick with you. The keyis to view every setback as a
chance to refine, pivot andimprove. I became fearless in
embracing mistakes, knowing thatevery failure brought me closer
to success. Next is principlenumber three, and that's paid
learning and coaching. This oneoften shocks people, but I
(10:47):
believe deeply in paid learningcourses, masterminds, mentors,
coaches, all that sort of stuff, because it makes you commit free
information is everywhere, butfree rarely compels you to
action. When you invest money, especially money that feels
significant, your mind, demandsyou to take action. You're
forced to implement, experimentand learn, because you feel the
(11:10):
weight of your investment.
Personally, I've always investedin coaches and mentors who know
things that I don't, who've donethings that I aspire to, or who
just can help me see beyond theblind spots in my thinking.
Every significant leap in myprogress has come after making
an investment in myself. Thesethree principles have formed the
(11:32):
foundation of the smart mindframework, a framework that
transformed how I approachedlife, business and growth. It
shifted my mindset from reactiveto proactive. Gave me clarity
and a structured way to turnideas into tangible outcomes. It
didn't just change my bankaccount, changed my
(11:53):
relationships, my family lifeand how I felt every single day.
Waking up with clear, purposefulintentions. Looking back, I
often wonder what I what? Whatwould have happened if I hadn't
faced that wake up call when mygranddad died, if I hadn't
stepped into that property, someseminar, if I hadn't obsessively
pursued knowledge, and that'sexactly why I'm sharing this
(12:15):
framework, because I know manyof you listening right now feel
stuck, whether you'reoverwhelmed by life's demands,
or you're successful, yetfeeling unfulfilled, this
structured, intentional approachcan shift everything. So let me
ask you clearly, are youdeliberately growing your mind,
or are you leaving yourpotential up to chance? The
(12:37):
Smart mind framework, it's notcomplicated, but it's
transformative. It's built onclarity intention and purposeful
action. It's about turning yourlearning into living. Now, let's
break down exactly how you canapply these principles, starting
today. But before I do, I wantto share one more thing with
something deeply personal, because I genuinely believe it
(13:00):
might resonate with you whereyou are right now, a few years
into building our propertybusiness, after having embraced
these principles deeply, something surprising happened. I
hit another barrier, not afinancial one, not even a
logistical one, but a mentalbarrier, even though I'd become
successful by almost anystandard that you can imagine.
(13:23):
I'd started feeling complacent.
The same hunger and clarity thathad gotten me out of debt and
given me my dream home began tofade. Life was comfortable
again, but maybe toocomfortable. I found myself
slipping back into old patterns, focusing on smaller, easier
tasks, losing my sense ofurgency, drifting slightly. And
you know what's dangerous aboutdrifting? It feels so subtle,
(13:46):
you barely even notice it, untilone day you realise you've lost
sight of your goals. That's whenI realised another truth, growth
isn't something you achieveonce, it's a lifelong
commitment. If you're notdeliberately moving forward,
you're sliding backwards. It'sthat simple. I had to recommit
fully to the smart lineframework again and again every
(14:10):
single day. So I decided toraise the stakes. I hired a new
mentor, Daniel hill of propertyentrepreneur, started with his
podcasts, someone who charged memore than I'd ever paid before,
someone who pushed me harderthan I'd ever been pushed. It
was uncomfortable. I rememberfeeling anxious when I made the
payment because of the amount ofmoney. It felt substantial, but
(14:32):
that discomfort, that feeling ofbeing stretched, was exactly
what I needed. It forced me intoaction. It demanded my full
commitment, and once again, mygrowth exploded. The
transformation that followedwasn't just financial. It
deepened my relationships, improved my health and
revitalised my passion for life.
(14:56):
I saw clearly, once more, howeverything was interconnec. How
the mind directly impacts yourresults in every area of your
life, your health, yourfinances, your relationships,
your happiness. That's the realsecret here. Mastering your
mindset isn't about businesssuccess. It's about creating a
life that you're genuinely proudof, a life that excites you
(15:19):
every day when you wake up alife on your terms, and maybe
you're listening to this rightnow and thinking, that's great
for me, but my situation isdifferent, or I've tried things
like this before and theyhaven't worked. Believe me, I
understand those thoughts. I'vehad them too, but here's what
you need to understand yoursituation right now, no matter
(15:40):
how difficult, confusing oroverwhelming it is, it's
temporary. Everything can shiftin the moment you decide that it
can you have more power than yourealise, and it starts with
choosing to intentionally growyour mind every single day. I
didn't build this frameworkbecause it sounded good or
(16:01):
clever. I built it because itsaved me. It brought me back
from the edge more than once. Itgave me clarity when things felt
impossible, strength, when Ifelt weak, and purpose when I
felt lost. It gave me a reliablepath forward, no matter what
life threw at me. And now it'syour turn. Here's my challenge
to you, one that genuinely canstart changing your life over
(16:25):
the next seven days, startingtoday, commit to reading a
physical book for just 10minutes a day. Why physical?
Because holding a book in yourhands removes distractions. It
anchors you to the moment itdemands your full attention.
Don't just read, write down atleast one insight every day,
(16:47):
just one thing that sparks yourinterest or makes you pause. It
could be something that you wantto remember, something that
inspires you, or something thatchallenges your current way of
thinking. And why write? Becausewhen you write, you invite
writing activates your mind. Itsolidifies your intentions, and
(17:07):
it primes your subconscious tostart taking action, even
without you realising it. Ipromise, if you genuinely commit
to this for just one week, you'll notice something
interesting happen. You'll beginto feel clearer, more energised
and more focused. You'll becomemore intentional about your
decisions. You'll see problemsdifferently, not as roadblocks,
(17:31):
but as opportunities to learn,to adjust and to grow, and more
importantly, you'll prove toyourself that intentional growth
is not complicated. It's just adaily choice, consistently made
every single day. Imagine whatcould happen if you kept this
habit for a month, six months,or even a year. Imagine the
(17:53):
clarity that you have, the ideasthat you generate and the
obstacles that you couldovercome. Imagine the life that
you could create if youdeliberately fueled your mind
every single day, because at theend of the day, your mindset
determines everything, the moneyyou earn, the relationships you
nurture, and the legacy that youleave. It's all shaped first and
(18:13):
foremost by your mind. So myfriend, what will you choose?
Comfort or growth, drift orintention. I've shared my story,
my mistakes, my breakthroughs, and this is a simple yet
powerful framework that you cantake away today, but the
decision is yours. You can letthis moment pass, let it be
another thing that you watch orlisten to and then don't act
(18:37):
upon. Or you can decide rightnow to start something truly
transformative. You deserveclarity. You deserve success,
and you deserve happiness. Youdeserve a life on your terms. So
here's the truth I'm leaving youtoday with. If you're not
intentionally growing, you'reunintentionally shrinking, your
(19:01):
smarter mind, your brighterfuture, your extraordinary life
on your terms is right herewaiting for you. Over to you
YouTubes, if this episoderesonated with you, share it
with someone who needs to hearit. You are a carnivore
entrepreneur.
Live life how it was supposed tobe lived on your terms with
strength energy and purpose,I'll see you on the next
(19:24):
episode. You.
