Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome, family, to
another episode of Song of
Cypher.
I'm here with bro Roderick Cameto bring us some music and talk
about his journey, so let's goahead and give him a cheering
round of applause real quick.
Welcome to the show, fam.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
That's what's up.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Let's go.
So Let me know, brother, how'sit going fam.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, it's blessing,
blessing always and just pushing
, you know it, just pushing.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, what you doing
nowadays, man.
What's keeping you busy Takingcare of?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
the kiddos wife and
staying grounded in the church
home and just being rooted in mymusic and I was putting more
artists out there, trying tofind a niche for more artists
out there.
So eyes always open.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Great, great.
So how did you start your faithjourney?
How did all of this come about?
Let's start with you know.
How was you saved?
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Oh story, Picture
yourself.
Okay, I was always safety withwith going with the gospel
because I thought it was forgood people and I just see good
and where I was, my environment,so I didn't think it was ever
for us.
I didn't grow up in a churchhome and I wasn't in no Bible.
(01:26):
My parents wasn't in no Bible.
I ain't seen nobody playing,you know so.
But what happened was like Imet a girl and eventually, at
the age of 27, I met this girland I was intrigued by her.
She said I'll give you mynumber if you go to church with
me.
I said, oh, I'll do whatever Imean she got you.
(01:48):
You know what I'm saying.
She threw the fishing line at us.
So I'm going like, hey, whatever I got to do, so in my
world, you know, what happenedwas that I didn't want a church
for the next day and the churchwas.
(02:09):
I can say his name, because hevery probably has a testimony
His name is Bishop FredWashington At his church.
I went to that church and hepreached the love of Jesus
Christ and I never heard thatmessage before like that.
So my eyes went off on her andit was focused on Jesus, amen.
(02:35):
I didn't even get with thisgirl like that.
It was just like, oh, it's likeGod, use me I mean, use her to
get my attention.
To bring you in, bring me in.
Well, my attention was lust.
But when I, when I when I, whenJesus, I was like I'm more
(02:55):
intrigued with him.
You know, yes, and I yeah.
So then that's what I, my myfaith started.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Okay, so let me ask
you this what was you doing?
Obviously, you said you knowlust is what brought you into
the church, right, Because youwas interested in this young
lady.
She asked for you to go tochurch, and all of that.
But what was you doing beforethen?
(03:23):
What was your?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
lifestyle, like
there's some things you know I
got to say carefully because Iran the streets.
I put it like that yes, I washustling, I was.
I'm going to say it, I was aplayer, yes, see.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I don't think you
should be ashamed of that,
because I was also in thestreets.
You know what I mean.
Most of us Christian hip-hopheads, rappers, most rappers,
hip-hop rappers, period.
Most rappers, hip-hop rappersperiod uh, we come from.
(04:12):
You know street type life, oryou know lives that aren't,
aren't great.
You know what I mean.
Most of us, some of us, just init, just because you know they
like the music, and that's finetoo.
I'm not, I'm not coming forthem people.
But you know hip hop is almostrooted around uh, a negative
lifestyle, you know, and it'sand it's almost glorified in the
(04:34):
music.
You know what I mean.
Uh, the negative lifestyle man, let's be honest here in the, in
the secular rap.
But you shouldn't be ashamed ofthat because that's a testimony
to where you were at then andwhere you're at now.
You see what I'm saying, soplease continue.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
It's something that
God forgave me.
The thing about it let me putit in this story here Money was
my God.
That's a simple way of thinkingMoney was my idol, I mean money
in front of it.
Let's a simple way of thinking.
Money was my idol.
I mean money in front of it,let's do it.
But I have limitations.
I don't mean everything, butwhen it came to feeding my
(05:14):
family and grinding or saying Ido a little whoop, whoop, I will
do what I gotta do.
But without a dollar I feel lessof a man, because I was told
growing up that if there's nomoney in your pocket ain't much
left to wear in the pants.
So that's so.
The message was in my head allday.
(05:35):
So if I had no money in mypocket, I feel like I can't get
a girl.
I can't get, I can't.
I can't eat, I can't do, Ican't, I can't eat, I can't do
none of that.
So I needed money, but withoutbut.
So I was in the streets, likethat I was.
I fell into the streets at 14when I was doing things at 8
years old, 9 years old, stealingbikes whatever but 14, when I
(06:00):
really got like recklessreckless with it, so let me take
you here then, then, all right.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
So now you know you,
you made it to church.
Uh, god seen that.
You know, lust was probably away to bring you in right.
Yeah, she used the, the, thatyoung lady you know, uh, to
bring you in right and uh, shegot you there, she got you in
the door.
So now, now you got intrigued.
(06:31):
You felt, uh, the holy spiritwork within you, felt, you felt
god's presence.
How did you get from there toyour christian hip-hop?
And you know your music okay.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Well, I'm gonna bring
it back just a little bit and
bounce the spring right forward.
When I went to a church with agirl one time and she said I'll
make you some cornbread.
So that's my thing, everybodyloves me, I know I love my
cornbread.
So she said, I'll make you aplate of cornbread, I said, okay
, let's go, I go to church withyou.
But when I said, okay, let's go, I go to church which.
But when I went to church thatday, I cried.
(07:06):
I cried because everything hewas saying the pastor was saying
was conflicting me as I wassitting in bed.
It made me feel like I wasdoing it wrong, or this is wrong
, and I'm like I don't want tofeel wrong.
So I left the church and I saidI never want to go back there.
I don't want to feel guiltyselling.
So I left the church and I saidI never want to go back there.
I don't want to feel guiltyselling it, I want to feel like
(07:29):
this is the thing to do.
Let me relax in my ignoranceand make me feel like this is
right.
So when I got to her in whichthen God was heard, it was more
of my like I said lusty desire.
It was more than to quench it.
But now it's a lust thing andwhat got me from there was that
it took me within that year tolike learn Jesus.
(07:52):
But the more I started learningof his word and his testimonies
of Jesus Christ, the more Iwanted the Holy Ghost.
So I wanted 12 services like 12services to catch the Holy
Ghost.
I didn't know how to catch it.
I don't want to fake it.
I said, okay, I want to pretend.
(08:12):
How do I really get this thing?
So I was asking questions andthen I went to a church in Chata
Temple in Minneapolis and Ijust went to a service.
They had a little conferencegoing on and this minister stood
up at the.
They had like a new membersclass session going on.
(08:33):
Before I let everybody leave,he says there's somebody in this
room who's been trying to seekthe Holy Ghost and just can't
get it.
And I said, oh well, you'retelling me, you know.
So yeah, he was like leave your.
If you got your keys in the car, forget your keys.
If you left some money at thehouse, if you got your money,
(08:53):
don't do nothing, just go to thealtar and just receive them,
just just leave a free mind.
So I went to the sermon passedthe preaching.
I was eager, just wait for himto do the benediction.
I'm like, okay, I hear the word, but frozen thing out Soon.
He said you might want to go tothe altar.
I jumped up, ran to the altarlike I want to get this done.
You know, I forgot abouteverything.
(09:15):
I followed all the instructionsand I received the Holy Spirit
that day.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Amen man, and that
brought me to God.
Works beautifully, don't?
Speaker 3 (09:24):
he, yeah and right
there, brought revelation.
So I went to my boys and I toldthem I said, man, I'm going to
start rapping.
He said what, man?
Look, you can't start rapping, man, you know what I'm saying?
I mean, you can save your life, you can change and everything,
but don't start rap.
I said, well, how do y'all feelabout me doing Christian rap?
They was like, uh, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
But then when I
started doing Christian rap,
they was like man, you stillkeep it alive in real life and
they loved it.
So I was still getting thestreet cred, even though I'm so.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
they know that's my
real life and I know my
transformation so they respectit yeah so, you know, I I
somewhat enjoy it a little bitwhen, when I talk about
christian rap, right, and I getthat response, uh, to people
that don't listen to it and Ienjoy it, because then, what I
(10:24):
do, pop up this song and I popup that song and sometimes I
don't even tell them that it'schristian rap, and you know I
catch them.
Oh, this lot.
But this is what gets me right.
It shows me how much peopleactually pay attention to the
words they're listening to,because sometimes they're vibing
(10:47):
to the music, right, and theydon't even notice that they're
listening to Christian rap.
So you're listening to all thissecular rap music and you're
listening to all these badmessages subliminally, pretty
much.
You don't know what you'retaking in.
You see what I'm saying.
You don't know what you'reallowing your mind to soak up
(11:07):
like a sponge.
If you're listening toChristian rap and you're
thinking you're listening toregular rap, you see what I'm
saying.
You're not being aware of whatyou're listening to.
Now, when I turn around and tellthem, I'm like you know that
was Christian rap, they're likewhat you see and I like.
(11:27):
I like that response becauseI'm like you couldn't tell a
difference.
Or or, even better, I was likeman, who's that?
Because a lot of the christianrappers man, I mean to be honest
, if you ask me, they're moretalented than the mainstream
secular rappers that are instraight up, real talk.
You know what I mean.
So, yeah, I got your, I gotyour video here.
(11:48):
I want to play it for thepeople.
This was called let it rain.
What was the inspiration behindthis?
Speaker 3 (11:53):
let it rain was uh,
the inspiration by the rain is.
I wrote it when I was goingthrough an AA program and and
learning.
I was in Atlanta, georgia, andI was inspired because they were
all like going through asituation.
Everybody got their own story, their own journey.
(12:14):
What I learned from theunderstanding is that if you
just let life reign, you know, like you know when it said
accept the things you cannotchange.
What is the difference?
When you accept the things youcannot change, you have a life
that be life.
It's just a way of yourperspective, how you look at it.
And when you start seeingidealistically how you got
through life and you hear theTED say love, let love be love,
(12:37):
let love be love.
God is with you the whole waythrough.
You know what I'm saying.
You're going through thesepains, you're going through this
agony.
What broke me to this song is myrelationship with my parents,
the bitterness I had againstthem.
I reestablished thatrelationship.
I said I forgive you and Iforgive myself on the hurt that
(12:58):
I caused.
I forgive the girls I was inlove with.
I mean, I was loving too hard, maybe I was doing too much, but
now I'll let love.
So this is a break free.
So I'm saying like let let lifebe life and let love be love,
and just let it ring amen tothat brother.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Let's let the people,
let's let the people feel that
love Dan brother, let's go.
Let me put this up over herethis is my grandma's grave site
Go away.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
No, let it rain all
day.
Rain, rain, go away.
No, let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Rain, rain, go away.
(13:49):
No, let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
My, my past is my past.
But now them days gone.
It's all good cause I moved on.
It's a whole new day and awhole new song.
Praise ye Lord.
(14:11):
That's my song.
Forgive my parents for whatthey've done.
There'd be no story if I wasn'ttheir son.
They hurt all cause the family.
I forgive myself.
I was just going through acrowd full of hell.
So many relationships your boyhas been through.
I come to realize your boy hadissues.
(14:33):
All I wanted was love, but waytoo hard.
I won't press to the end tillit broke our hearts, not today.
I choose to humble myself.
Let love be love.
Less trouble on myself.
I'm so sick and tired of beingsick and tired.
I'd rather let go and let Godenjoy my life.
(14:54):
Rain, rain go away.
No, let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Rain, rain, go away.
No, let it rain all day.
(15:14):
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Thank you, jesus.
All glory to God.
I can trust you always when therain's hard, no longer do I
strive, just going for the ride.
Do away the keys.
God is my guide.
I can sit here and tell you allabout my life At the same time,
(15:39):
tell you more about ChristCause.
All what I've been through.
He's been there Today, sobeautiful cause.
He's right here In the midst ofit all.
He does not deny me To the endof my road.
He stands beside me.
Poverty, depression, all thatabove my testimony, is in the
(15:59):
power of the blood.
Jesus died and rose to thecross for a cause, sent us a
comforter and love for us all.
He led, I followed, he broughtme this far Today.
I rejoice.
Thank you Lord.
Rain, rain pour away.
No, let it rain all day.
Let no, let it rain all day.
(16:21):
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Rain, rain, cold wind no, letit rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day.
Let it let it rain all day, letit.
Let it rain all day.
(16:41):
In his word I entreat In him.
I believe I succeed.
As I breathe, he'll give mewhat I need.
No longer shall I dwell on thepast.
Don't think about how long thegood's gonna last being in his
light.
Being in the blind Cause, I cansee now the blessing in
disguise.
When it rains, the pause, butfor showtime.
(17:04):
So it comes through the night.
So I sleep just fine.
Let it rain, let it rain.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Nice, nice.
That's what's up brother,that's what's up man.
The beat to that was fire man.
I could hear that in my in mycar radio bumping crazy right
now, brother.
So if I can ask respectfully, who were the two people in the
(17:36):
headstones?
Was that your parents?
Speaker 3 (17:39):
parents.
No, that's my, it was.
This is a crazy story.
My, my, my grandmother and myclose homeboy died the same year
.
Oh, okay for some reason, mygrandma my grandma was buried
right there.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Okay, sorry for your
loss yeah, I, I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
And then my homeboy
was buried next to her.
I didn't know that.
My brother, we go to funeralsthese days.
Let's go to my funerals to seemy brother.
I said, okay, let's do it.
And I was like dude, my grandmawas right next to him.
We were like what?
(18:19):
So it was crazy how thathappened, but both of them right
there.
So it was an honor to dealbecause I missed both of them
yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
So let me ask you
this um, what rapper inspires
you before being saved and whatrapper are you listening to or
inspires you after being saved?
So before and after?
Or who are you listening tobefore?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
before.
I would say, when I firststarted rapping, it was
sebo-Ball, c-ball, c-ball wasmine.
Yeah, ball hit nut.
You know, back in my well, afew days they called me C-Bird,
you know.
So I was like C-Bird, c-bowl Iwas.
You know I'm talking like.
You know what I'm talking about, but Feel it.
(19:11):
But when I got heavy in the rapgame, I you see that style and
the flow that I didn't let itrain in.
It sounded like a DMX, but whathappened was that respect the
DMX.
You know what I'm saying.
Yes, he, I.
I didn't even follow the manmusic, I followed his life.
I know his man history.
(19:33):
I knew him as a best friend andI all the stuff they say like I
knew him as a best friend andI'm, and it's for y'all, it's
all in the next series, all thestuff they say I knew him
personally.
I knew him.
I feel like I know him.
And I wasn't like that, you know.
So the Amics became like a realfan.
I became a fan for him yes, andthen became a fan for him to
(19:59):
him, yes, and then.
Then I started listening to 50sand then you know, love to pod,
yes, so, but dmx was my guy andthen, after being saved, I
started following along withlike bizzo uh, this was a hard
one, man, man, this was was thatdude brother.
Yeah, and Brian T.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Brian T.
I just did a recordingyesterday, as a matter of fact,
with a Christian hip-hop artistby the name of Corey Binks and
we talked about Brian T.
He actually went to a revivaland met with Brian T and stuff
like that, and it was ironicthat at the same night last
(20:43):
night, at the time of recordingthis video I was on a live
stream where they're submittingsongs you know I try to drop in
these live streams that they'resubmitting christian hip-hop
songs so I could network withsome people, you know, see if I
could get some people to come tothe show or whatever.
(21:04):
And I write poetry and uh, I,uh, you know, something in me
told me.
I was like you know what, letme reach out in the chat room
and write up and see if they'lltake poetry tonight and all I
had was something I had recordedon my iphone.
All right, there's no productionbehind it or nothing.
(21:25):
I wrote this, I recorded on myiphone and I shared it with a
couple people at church.
You know, everything's good, everything they like it,
whatever.
But this is what I had.
What they're submitting to thisplace is is productive
production, stuff like you, justlike we just watched with you.
So I'm like, uh, they probablyain't gonna take this.
Dude said it was all right, Isent it, they loved it and come
(21:47):
and find out, you know.
The guy said you know, I'll dosomething with you and stuff
like that.
He's part of brian t's camp.
And I'm like I was just talkingabout brian t with somebody I
recorded with earlier in the day.
He's part of brian t's camp andnow you're bringing that.
Now I'm taking this.
As you know, something gonnahappen here with brian t.
We might have him on the showman.
I'll bring you back back up tothe show man.
(22:08):
We have him on the show overhere.
Huh, what's?
Speaker 3 (22:12):
up.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, but you're
listening to Brian T Bizzle, who
else you got in your um.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Well, I was in follow
, follow behind that Before that
.
As my journey went, I was.
I fell in love with the 116,you know the prey Tadashi Flame.
Okay, uh, kb, you know, uh, so,uh, kb, you know, uh, so.
(22:40):
Yes, when that, when the wholeclique was coming together, I
was like almost all their shows.
They don't say like oh, okay, Iwas at the conferences.
I just saw that in the paradelike a short time.
I've seen kb a few times, youknow and um, uh, I didn't know
anything about that group.
As a group, as as a band, as asquad, they collectively stood
(23:00):
on standards.
You know, yes, and my firsttime when I've been, you know,
you know you would do secularmusic.
It ain't about marriage, itain't about you out there doing
your own thing.
What I seen for my first timewas a bunch of men with rings on
their fingers, bunch of menhonoring their wives, I said,
dang it, I don't want marriage.
(23:25):
I didn't get married until I wasin my 40s.
I didn't want no marriagebecause I was like I don't know
how to do that.
But when I started gettingintroduced to men who honored
their wives, I didn't know howto do that.
But when I started gettingintroduced to men who honor
their wives as a rapper whohonor their wives more on like
it's different.
Some rappers who honor theirwives at home but in their music
(23:47):
they glorify other women Intheir music.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
They don't.
They're living two lives, man.
They're living a lie.
You see what I'm saying andthat's a sin all by itself.
You know what I mean.
Your, your words are lies, um,and you know these men like kb,
I've seen him, I like a lot ofhis music, but I've seen him
actually preach the word.
(24:11):
And man is anointed man when hetalks.
Brother, you know what I mean.
And brian t, I mean talkingabout him, not to bring him back
up, but yesterday on the showthe guy talked about that brian
t.
We listen, we hear a lot of hismusic, but that when he's
preaching, it's all about thepreaching.
(24:33):
His music is very small and hissermons compared to what he's
giving out as far as the word, and what he's feeding the people
around them and trying to, youknow, lead people to christ.
See, we see all the musicbecause that's what he has out
here and that's what we'reseeing.
But you know, he's really liketrying to bring people to the
(24:55):
kingdom, man, and that's what'sup, man, because you know, we're
supposed to be different, right, it's supposed to be all about
god and the morals and thevalues, man, that we stand so
strong with man.
You have to walk that path, man.
We're so.
Big ups to them, people, bigups to you, man.
And so next question all right,so what are your go-to
(25:17):
scriptures?
Do you have any that just holdon to you?
That's your scripture that youalways go to.
Yeah, I go to.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Luke, chapter 6.
I go to Matthew 6 and 33.
I go to you know it's honoryour mother and your father.
You know I have to learn.
That's the first I go to.
You know, honor your mother andyour father.
You know I have to learn.
That's the first I have tolearn Like, okay, I'm going to
honor my dad.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
That's my good heart.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
No, but I have to say
okay, you know you got to love
him, even though he did me wrong.
You know what I'm saying.
Neglect him, you gotta, yougotta.
And he's like I had to love himeven though he did me wrong.
You know what I'm saying.
So it's like yes, so if, um?
So it always reminded me ofMatthew 6, 33.
Luke said Luke, chapter 6always reminded me of a
character.
(26:09):
You know what I'm saying.
Like, don't let your left handdrive you to do it.
It's better to give thanreceive.
And another one sticks out tome Proverbs 14, 25.
A true witness delivers souls, you know so.
The more, like you said earlier, the more, when you come real,
(26:29):
you tell your testimony.
You know that delivers souls, more than you just try to
fabricate to look cute.
You know what I'm saying.
Yes, to look cute.
You know what I'm saying.
Yes, tell your truth.
You know what I'm saying.
And that's what always sticksout to me.
You know what I'm saying.
I don't have many more, but Icould go through.
I could go through shifts.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yes, yes, I mean,
there's so many of them, one
that I've always you brung upProverbs, I like.
I hold this one really close tomy heart.
It's Proverbs 3, 5, and 6.
I have it right here in frontof me.
It's trusting the Lord with allyour heart and lean not on your
own understanding, and all yourways submit to him and he will
make your paths straight.
(27:07):
And I think that just appliesto everybody.
Man, it gives me, it raises thehair on my arms.
Man, it gives me, it raises thehair on my arms.
Man, every time I hear that, because it's a whole, you know
it encompasses so much.
You know what I mean.
Yeah, yes, sir.
So what are you involved withas far as you're in your church
(27:33):
or in your community?
Are you doing anything activelyright now?
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Right now I'm
involved in a church Foundation
Church in New Hope, minnesota, pastor Jordan he.
I just got involved into prisonministry, yeah, and then I'm,
then, I'm, then I'm, eventuallyI'm supposed to be also in part
of youth leadership.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Okay, nice, and I see
you have your, your label or
your logo behind you.
What's all that about what wegot going now sacrifice music,
right, yeah, sacrifice music ishang up your cross and deny
yourself.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
You know that's my
slogan.
You know saying the Lord saysdo your cross and deny yourself.
That's my slogan.
You know what I'm saying theLord to actions that do so.
Clunkerfightermusicnet is mywebsite.
You can find all theinformation and, for the record,
I'm writing music, I'mpolishing the artists and I'm
creating my own website.
(28:34):
So there's some scratches andedges in there, but I don't get
to all that.
I get it too, man.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Hey, I'm trying to
wing this whole podcast thing.
Man Don't feel bad.
Hey, we're getting it aroundhere we're going to make it
happen, though, in Jesus name, man and for all of his links and
everything.
I just want to let the peopleknow.
For all his links andeverything I just want to let
the people know, for all of hislinks and everything.
We're going to have it in theshow notes so you know, after
the show you guys could go downthere and link up with the
(29:03):
brother over here, man, andwherever he's found that.
I'll have it in the show notes.
But continue what you weresaying, brother.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Yeah.
So the sacrifice, music, thename came about as I pray about
everything.
So when the Noah came andsacrificed, I said what brought
(29:34):
me to Christ?
What sermon did I hear thatsaved my life?
And then I'm down on the, thecross, that ultimate sacrifice.
And then once you learn that, you learn you know he didn't
just die for you.
It's bigger than that.
You know, yes, and when youstart, when you build that
relationship and you simmer thatinto your soul, you realize
that this life is not your own.
So you pick up the cross andyou deny yourself daily because
(29:59):
wherever it happens to a life, why me?
But we always got to draw backand say we chose this life, to
say, no, I'm with you.
So sometimes we forget ourassignment.
We got to go back to ourassignment and, yes, some bad
things might happen to you.
Yes, a loved one may pass away.
And you say, why my loved one?
(30:20):
Why my child, why my mother, why my situation, why my
finances?
But we're here to be used.
You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 2 (30:28):
That's the only way
you can tell me.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Everybody has a story
.
Everybody has a story, butyou're here to tell me your
story.
Everybody has a story, but youhere to tell me your story.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
That's a gift we're
supposed to be disciples of his
word, good stewards of his word, and lead everybody to Christ.
And what I think about for usto really submit right, we need
to trust right.
I think there's a big trustissue.
I think some people areintimidated by change and you
(31:02):
know the Lord's been giving mesome stuff, man, because you
know I want to share this at mychurch one time you know soon
when, whenever I get a chance tospeak up there again.
There was one time I was upthere and I had came up with.
(31:30):
If somebody's going to, if I askyou right now to borrow a
thousand dollars, you might notlet me borrow a thousand dollars
because you met me online andyou don't really know me.
But if I was to ask my pastorto borrow a thousand dollars, he
must like the hand handed rightover because he knows who I am,
he knows my character and heknows that I'm a man of my word.
Right, there's that trust rightthere.
The only way we can trulysubmit to God is if we trust
(31:53):
right.
And if I was gonna get athousand dollars borrowed, right
, the person has to trust me togive it to me, right, because he
knows me right.
So, and we.
That's that's valuable right.
Thousand dollars isn't, isn'tno tongue change doesn't
valuable.
But how much more are wevaluable we?
(32:14):
We are working so much moremoney doesn't amount to what
we're worth.
So, in order for us to submitus to God, we need to know him
in the only way, the only waywe're going to truly know Jesus
is in the word, because Jesus isthe word.
So this book right here, thisbook right here, this isn't
about us, this is him, this isabout him and this is how here.
(32:35):
This isn't about us, this ishim, this is about him and this
is how we go to know him.
Man, and if we're not getting inthis book and reading it and
knowing and buildingrelationship, the submission is
always going to seem hard andthe change is always going to
seem hard.
But when you're in there, itjust happens by itself.
(32:59):
It's not even no effort.
You know what I mean.
Because you give in, justbecause it's just it flows.
And you know that was what Ispoke to that day, because you
know that's that's what God gaveme in my heart, man, for me to
give up.
That's what God gave me in myheart, man for me to give up.
But you know, I just hope thatanybody that's listening to this
(33:20):
podcast or video or whereverhowever you're getting this, you
know that they get somethingfrom your words today, bro, or
you know from whatever I said, and get in that word, man,
because you know that Jesus isthe only way you know what I
mean.
Amen.
All glory go to God, brother.
Yeah Well, bro, man, I thankyou for having you on the show.
