You: “I am successful”

Your Brain: “You’re not the one who got the promotion.”

You: “I am financially abundant.”

Your Brain: “What about the $500 we just spent on car repairs? Or the 2k sitting on the credit card. Oh, and we need more groceries.”

Sound familiar?

Affirmations have been a gateway to allowing us to entertain the possiblity of a new life, identity, and environment.

However, our mind has a system called the “Reticular Activating System” that is screaming “objection!” when you are reciting affirmations.

It’s not trying to sabotage you, but keep you safe in the unconscious stories you’ve been building since your childhood.

In this episode, we discuss:

* The affirmation scene from a “Sex and the City” episode

* Why affirmations can cause frustration

* What the Reticular Activating System is and how to tweak your affirmations (and how you relate to them) to actually magnetize your manifestations in a fun way

So that way your mind is playing a role similar to a bubbly, curious Ariel from The Little Mermaid discovering a shipwreck, instead of a grumpy grandpa stuck in his ways!
