The Gratitude Era

The Gratitude Era

Stories of recovery, resilience, faith, and the power of gratitude to change the way we see our past, our present, and what's still ahead. What happens when we stop focusing only on what we lost... And start recognizing what we've gained? When we learn to find gratitude after addiction. Gratitude in healing. Gratitude for the people who stood beside us. Gratitude for second chances. Gratitude for who we used to be, who we are today, and who we're still becoming. Welcome to The Gratitude Era, hosted by Sam Hillis and co-host Jason Coleman. Sam is a Licensed Counselor, Clinical Director, Community Engagement Coordinator, and person in long-term recovery. With 11 years of personal recovery and 10 years of experience working in the field of addiction treatment, Sam brings both professional expertise and lived experience to honest conversations about recovery, growth, faith, and rebuilding a life. Jason brings his own powerful perspective as a person with 3 years in recovery, a mentor in the prison system, and a passionate recovery advocate. Through his lived experience and his work walking alongside others, Jason brings authenticity, encouragement, and a firsthand understanding of what it means to fight for a different life—and then help others believe they can do the same. Together, Sam and Jason bring different experiences, perspectives, and stories to the table—but share a common belief: recovery is possible, people can change, and there is always something to be grateful for. Each month, you'll hear authentic stories of recovery, resilience, faith, and personal transformation from individuals who have faced adversity, rebuilt their lives, and discovered new reasons to be grateful along the way. Featuring conversations with people in recovery, community leaders, counselors, advocates, and changemakers, The Gratitude Era explores the struggles, victories, lessons, and moments that shape us. Whether you're seeking encouragement, practical insights, resources, or simply a reminder that there is still something good worth holding onto, you'll find meaningful conversations that inspire hope, strengthen community, and remind us that gratitude can change everything. The Gratitude Era is proudly sponsored by and recorded at the Tony Rice Recovery Center, where lives have been transformed through recovery, support, and second chances for more than three decades. Because recovery isn't just about getting sober—it's about learning to live. It's about discovering purpose, building connection, strengthening faith, and creating a life worth living. Welcome to The Gratitude Era.
