Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the Grind, Real Talk, real life. In
today's episode, I got one life. I'm sure as hell
not wasting it on being fake. Let me tell you something.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if
you're spending your one life trying to impress people who
don't even show up, if your life fell apart, you're
(00:22):
doing it all wrong. People out here filtering their whole
existence like they're afraid somebody might see the real of them,
hiding behind Instagram smiles, quart approved lies and family photos
that don't match the chaos behind the camera. Me. I
ain't got time for that. I got one life, that's it,
(00:47):
no do overs, and I'm sure as hell not gonna
waste it being fake. You ever seen somebody pretend to
be rich whether lights are off, or acting like they're
a good parent while they ain't seen their kid in months.
That's the world we liveing in. Fake gets likes, Fake
(01:11):
gets applause, Fake even gets custody sometimes, but real, real
gets left on red, Real gets judged, Real gets overlooked,
but real also sleeps good at night. I've been judged
by strangers, lied on people, lied on by people I trusted,
(01:35):
and dragged through a system that don't care whether I'm
right or wrong, just whether I can pay. And I
still showed up, honest, still showed up flawed, but mine
because I gotta be perfect to be accepted. Then I
guess I ain't getting accepted today, or tomori or ever
for that matter. I remember one time a dude told me, broke,
(02:05):
you'd be father in life if you just kept your
mouth shut. I said, yeah, I'd also be further from
the truth. You don't grow by being fake. You don't
heal by pretending. You don't inspire by lying. You know
what inspires people saying Yeah, I messed up, but I
(02:25):
got back up and I'm still walking. I ain't here
to put on a show. I ain't here to be perfect.
I'm here to be real, and it really ain't always pretty.
Sometimes it's scarred up, sometimes it's pissed off, sometimes it's tired,
but it's always honest. Now let me hear you. Oh
(02:50):
it was something funny because I promised to lift the
mood too, didn't I. You ever know those people will
post God got me on Sunday, then by Monday they're
back in court line through their teeth trying to bury
the other parent. Pay bro, did God write your aff David?
(03:11):
Did Jesus follow that e mercy custom motion? Come on now,
be for real? So yeah, you might hear me call
names sometimes. I ain't not here to try slander. I'm
just here. I'm just tired of letting fake people walk
around like saints while real ones stay silent. Not today, though. Look,
(03:39):
I don't spend enough years trying to prove myself to
people who already made up their minds. So now I
don't argue, I don't beg I don't chase. I show
up real, And if that ain't good enough, you ain't
meant to ride with me. And for anybody listening thinking
they got to hide who they are to get it
(04:00):
by nah, don't say your soul for acceptance. Let them laugh,
let them gossip, let them lie, But you, you stay you.
That's where the power is. One life, that's all we got.
And if I got to live at crawling through lies
and playing nice just to be tolerated, I'd rather stand
(04:22):
up loud and walk along. I don't know. Some of
y'all feel that you've been judged, you've been silenced, you've
been told you too much too loud, too emotional, too honest,
and probably a little too damaged. But they don't know
what it cost you to be there. They don't know
(04:46):
how many knights you stayed up fighting demons they ain't
ever had to face, And they damn sure don't know
what it takes to still choose to be real in
a fake ass world. Here's a reminder from me to you.
You don't owe anybody a watered down version of you.
(05:07):
They can't take you as who you are or watch
you keep rising without them. This has been the grind,
real talk, real life. I got one life. I'm sure
(05:28):
as hell not wasting being fake. If it hits home,
share it. If it pissed you off, it was probably
about you. Until next time. Stay real always,
