They threaten you, try to control you, try to scare you into silence—but they forget one thing: they built you. The fire didn’t break you, it shaped you. In this episode of The Grind: Real Talk, Real Life, we talk about what it means to face fear from the same people and systems that helped create the storm inside you. They don’t scare you… because you’ve already been through hell. And you ain’t folding now.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Alright, folks, welcome back to the ground rod top of
real Life. Today's episode is called you Don't Scare the
man you created. They didn't go fear over your head
like they're the first ones to ever bring heat into
your life. But me, I ain't no to this. I
was forced and fired and it didn't consume me, it
created me. I've lost jobs trying to better myself. I've

(00:26):
been dragged through court rooms by a system that never
cared if I stood back up. They believe in keeping
people like me down. An addict, a felon, someone who's
made mistakes. That's all they see. But what they don't
see is the father, the fight. They don't see the climb,
the struggle, the man who refused to give up. They

(00:50):
don't see the man that they built trying to rebuild himself,
and they sure as held on give him credit when
he does. They talk about rock Bottom like it's a
place to be afraid of. But I'm made peace with pavement.
I've gone nights with no food, no heat, no peace.

(01:12):
I felt the silence louder than any s jail cell.
I can't speak on dope sickness, but I can't speak
on starvation. I can speak on court rooms and cages.
I can speak on fighting to see your own kid supervised, judged, broken,

(01:33):
but showing up anyways. You don't scare the man you created.
You labeled me, you caged me, you judged me, and
I'm still here, still fighting, still standing, still grinding because
I never was the problem. You just didn't expect me
to survive, but I did. And now now you're the

(01:54):
one that should be scared. Is the grind, real talk,
