UU (00:08):
Sweeter than honey. Much better than gold. Searching the word.
See how the story unfolds in the Honeycomb Club. We
have fun with Max, Colin and Lena in the honey cast.

(00:29):
We will share a laugh. The honeycomb chronicles. Honeycomb. The
honeycomb club. The honeycomb chronicles. This.

S1 (00:58):
Is Stacey. Is he here? Is he okay? Is he
in trouble?

S2 (01:00):
He never came back to class. Lena, take a breath. Yes?
Colin is here. Mr. Mitchell picked him up, and they
got here about an hour ago.

S1 (01:08):
Is he okay?

S2 (01:09):
Well, it's been quite an afternoon for him, so. Highs
and lows for sure. But I think you'll find that
he is doing quite well. Definitely better than before.

S1 (01:18):
What? Really?

S3 (01:20):
Where is he, Miss Stacey?

S2 (01:21):
I think he's in Mr. Mitchell's office.

S1 (01:24):
Okay, thanks. Come on, Max, we gotta go. Lena? Yes.

S2 (01:29):
Take a breath. Colin is okay. Just make sure you're
calm and ready to listen.

S1 (01:35):
Okay? Got it.

S2 (01:37):
I'll catch y'all later.

S3 (01:39):
Thanks a million, Miss Stacey.

S1 (01:42):
I really do hope he's not too hard on himself.
He's been trying really hard to be good.

S3 (01:48):
Lena, you're worrying way too much. Remember what Miss Stacey said.
Be ready to listen.

S1 (01:55):
Right. Right. You know what? You better talk first. Because
once I get started, I know it's going to be
hard for me to stop.

S3 (02:02):
Okay. Lena. Come on in. Colin. My man. How's it going?

S4 (02:09):
Hey, Max. Hey, Lena. Hi. I'm sure you're both wondering
what happened.

S1 (02:14):
Yes, yes, I have so many, but. But we want
to hear what you want to share.

S4 (02:22):
Thanks, Lena. I guess there's just so much to share.
A lot has happened in the last couple of hours.

S3 (02:30):
Man, is it that bad?

S4 (02:32):
Well, I did get in trouble, and I should have.
Fighting is against the rules at school, after all.

S1 (02:38):
I'm sorry. Colin.

S4 (02:40):
I'm not. You're not? I mean, I'm sorry I punched Johnny.
That was wrong. But I deserved to get in trouble, and. Well,
God used it, huh?

S3 (02:53):
He. He did?

S4 (02:56):
Yeah. He did.

S1 (02:59):
How? Come on, Colin, I'm trying to listen, but you
need to give me something.

S4 (03:04):
Well, I put my faith in Jesus.

S1 (03:07):
Then Syria.

S3 (03:08):
Well, paint me green and call me a pickle. Oh
my goodness.

S1 (03:11):
Colin. When? How?

S4 (03:13):
In the school office. Actually.

S3 (03:16):
Colin. That's totally rad.

S5 (03:19):
It is really exciting. And now we're all a part
of God's family.

S4 (03:23):
Yeah, I'm probably not quite as fully a part of
the family yet, but I'm definitely on the way.

S5 (03:29):
Oh, that's not true. That's not?

S4 (03:31):
No, I'm not on my way.

S5 (03:33):
No, what I mean is that you're just as much
a part of the family as each of us. Once
you put your faith in Christ, you are fully a
child of God, not more or less than anyone else,
no matter how long or short you've been a Christian. Oh,
Galatians is pretty clear God doesn't show favoritism. It isn't

(03:53):
about our pasts, but about being in Jesus. Life in
him gives us all the same title of being fully
in God's family.

S1 (04:02):
That's right.

S3 (04:03):
Welcome to the family, my brother. Oh, this is so
is so exciting.

S1 (04:06):
This is what we've been praying for, Mr. Mitchell.

S5 (04:08):
I know.

S4 (04:09):
Wait. You guys have been praying, too?

S3 (04:12):
Of course. Totes magotes.

S4 (04:14):
How many people have been praying for me?

S5 (04:17):
So many.

S4 (04:18):
Huh?

S1 (04:19):
How are we going to celebrate? Oh, this month's podcast
is going to be so special now that you believe
in Jesus. Can we get started now?

S5 (04:24):
Slow down. Lina. We will celebrate, that's for sure. But
after talking with Colin's mom and the principal, part of
his consequences for his actions at school today is that
he can't be on technology for a couple days.

S1 (04:38):
What?

S5 (04:39):
His mom asked him to hang in my office until
she could pick him up.

S4 (04:43):
Yeah, and I was suspended for a couple days, so
I won't be in school tomorrow.

S1 (04:49):
Oh.

S3 (04:50):
A real bummer it is.

S4 (04:53):
But I did break a pretty big rule, so I
deserve it.

S5 (04:58):
That's correct. And very mature of you to realize, Colin.

S4 (05:02):
Thanks. Doesn't make it any easier, though. I am glad
that Jesus took the biggest punishment.

S3 (05:10):
Me too. Me three.

S1 (05:12):
Well, I don't want to feel left out, so. Me four.

S4 (05:15):
All right. There you go. Lena. Colin. Colin. Hey, Lena.

S1 (05:28):
Where are your crutches?

S4 (05:29):
I don't need them anymore. See, the swelling has gone down,
and I have practically no pain. That's great. Yeah. I
think a couple days just laying on the couch was
good for it. Even though I got very bored sitting
around without a phone or laptop or anything.

S1 (05:45):
Oh, I bet that was rough.

S4 (05:47):
It was, but I read through the whole book of Galatians.

S1 (05:51):
You did?

S4 (05:52):
I did. There are some really great stuff in there,
and I think I have some ideas for the honey cast. Oh, good.

S1 (05:58):
Max and I have kind of hit a creative block.
I can't wait to hear what you've come up with.

UU (06:03):
We better hurry. You better make sure your shoes are tied. Hey.

S1 (06:08):
I'm only teasing.

S4 (06:10):
But are they, though? Yes. Let's go.

S1 (06:22):
So if you want, you can borrow that book.

S4 (06:24):
What's it called?

S1 (06:25):
Jack versus the tornado.

S4 (06:27):
Okay. I think you'd.

S1 (06:29):
Really like it. It's about four friends, and they discover
things about God's love.

S4 (06:33):
Mm. I'll check it out.

S3 (06:35):
I think I might want to read that one. You
haven't read it yet?

S1 (06:39):
Nope. Well, maybe after Colin reads it, you can borrow
it for the next report.

S3 (06:44):
Sounds like a plan, Stan.

S1 (06:45):
My name is not Stan. Do I look like a
Stan to you?

S6 (06:50):
Well, well, well. I better be careful what I say
around this table. Otherwise, I may get another bruise and
a couple more extra days off of school.

S3 (06:59):
Johnny, just go away, bro.

S1 (07:01):
Haven't you learned your lesson already.

S4 (07:03):
Guys? It's okay. Johnny. I'm glad you're here. Actually you are.
I am because I wanted to say something to you.

S6 (07:15):
Let me back up just a little bit first. I mean, first.

S4 (07:19):
Listen, I'm sorry for getting angry at you. And I'm
sorry for punching you. You are? Yes. And I want
to ask for your forgiveness.

S6 (07:32):
You do?

S4 (07:33):
I do. Would you please forgive me?

S6 (07:37):
Uh, yeah, sure. I guess.

S4 (07:44):
Thank you. That means a lot to me.

S6 (07:47):
Okay. Well.

S4 (07:50):
And just so you know. I've forgiven you. Huh? No
hard feelings?

S6 (07:56):
Sure. Whatever. Uh, catch you guys later.

S1 (08:04):
Wow. Colin.

S3 (08:06):
Oh, man. That was pretty amazing.

S4 (08:08):
Thanks, guys. But it wasn't me.

S3 (08:11):
What do you mean?

S4 (08:13):
It's the Holy Spirit. I was reading through Galatians, and Mr.
Mitchell helped me realize that my thoughts and actions about
Johnny weren't good. They were angry and hateful. I was
just trying to ignore Johnny and not let what he
said get to me. And we all saw where that
got me.

S3 (08:31):
Yeah.

S4 (08:31):
But it said in, I think it was chapter six
that the way I used to live died with Jesus
on the cross, and things like hatred and anger are
part of that old life.

S1 (08:44):
Oh, and that's when it talks about the fruit of
the spirit, right?

S4 (08:47):
Yeah.

S3 (08:48):
Oh, I know that part.

S4 (08:51):
When I read through that part about living in our
old ways, I couldn't help but feel like I needed
to ask for Johnny's forgiveness. It's been like a nagging
feeling ever since that moment on my couch.

S1 (09:02):
That's the Holy Spirit. It is God's leading you to
obey him. Colin.

S3 (09:08):
She's absolutely right.

S4 (09:11):
That's so cool.

S1 (09:14):
See? He's already giving you his fruit.

S4 (09:16):
He is.

S3 (09:17):
Spot on. You just showed love to Johnny. And patience
and kindness. Those are three from the list right there. Bingo, Bango.

S1 (09:26):
And that just shows you it's really the fruit of
the spirit.

S4 (09:30):
What do you mean?

S1 (09:32):
Jesus is in charge of your life now. And because
of this, you're going to feel like you want to
act differently. It's not that it's always going to be easy,
but as you obey him, the results show him to others. Naturally.

S3 (09:45):
Can I get a third? Absolutely.

S4 (09:48):
Oh, brother, this is so cool.

S1 (09:51):
I bet we could put it in our next episode somehow. Yeah.

S4 (09:55):
I actually had an idea for the fruit of the spirit.

S3 (09:58):
Awesome sauce. Let's hear it.

S1 (10:00):
Yes. I want to hear all of your ideas for
this episode.

UU (10:04):
Oh, this is gonna be such a special one. Honeycomb. Chronicoms.
