UU (00:07):
Sweeter than honey. Much better than gold. Searching the word.
See how the story unfolds in the Honeycomb Club. We
have fun with Max, Colin and Lena in the honey cast.
(00:29):
We will share a laugh. The honeycomb chronicles. Honeycomb. The
honeycomb club, the honeycomb chronicles.
S1 (00:54):
Mom, don't I have red shorts? What was that? Honey,
where are my red shorts? What are you looking.
S2 (01:02):
For, sweetie?
S1 (01:03):
My red shorts. I thought I had a pair.
S2 (01:05):
You did have a pair. But you grew out of
those nearly six months ago. Colin.
S1 (01:09):
You got rid of them?
S2 (01:10):
Well, yes.
S1 (01:12):
Oh, great. Just great.
S2 (01:15):
I didn't realize you liked those shorts so much.
S1 (01:18):
Well, it's color day at the Honeycomb Club tomorrow. I
was going to wear all red.
S2 (01:24):
Oh I see.
S1 (01:25):
Can we go to the store and get a new pair?
S2 (01:28):
Sweetie, I don't think we can swing that right now.
I don't get paid until the end of the month,
and we had to replace the flat tire on the
car the other day.
S1 (01:36):
Okay.
S2 (01:37):
Can you do another color?
S1 (01:38):
Well, red is my favorite. And I already told Lena
and Max that I was gonna wear red. We all
chose different colors.
S2 (01:45):
Okay, well, we'll just have to get a little creative.
I think I might have an idea.
S3 (01:56):
Hey, Colin. Buenos dias.
S1 (01:58):
Hey, Lina.
S3 (01:59):
I like the red.
S1 (02:00):
You remembered. Of course. You reminded me no less than
50 times. I did not. Okay, well, at least ten.
S3 (02:08):
And your pants are cool.
S1 (02:11):
Are they new? Are they weird?
S3 (02:13):
No no no, no. I've just never seen you wear
them before.
S1 (02:17):
I guess I outgrew my red shorts that I was
going to wear. So my mom took an old red
shirt from my brother, cut out these lightning bolt shapes
and ironed them. Huh? Cool. Yeah.
S3 (02:28):
Do you like my purple?
S1 (02:30):
You sure have a lot.
S3 (02:32):
Well, I want it to be purple from head to toe. Literally.
See how I have a bow on my head and
my socks are purple?
S1 (02:38):
Yeah, and so is everything in between. Yeah.
S3 (02:41):
My mom took us to the store last night. She
let me and my sisters pick out three extra things
so we could have even more color to our outfits.
S1 (02:48):
Must be nice. What? Nothing.
S3 (02:51):
Let's head to class. We don't want to be late.
S4 (02:53):
Salutations. Cool kittens.
S1 (02:55):
Hey. Hey, Max.
S3 (02:57):
You are looking rather blue today.
S4 (03:00):
Good one. Lina. Thank you. Check out the real reason
I wanted to wear all blue today. Bam!
S1 (03:07):
Whoa! Are those the new elite Lux stride shoes?
S4 (03:11):
You know it. Special Sapphire edition two. Wow.
S3 (03:15):
Yeah. Really nice. But you should probably get your shoes
off of the table.
S4 (03:19):
Oh, right. Sorry.
S1 (03:21):
Those must have been really expensive.
S4 (03:23):
Yeah, they weren't cheap, that's for sure. But between the
money I got for my birthday, and with a lot
of help from my grandma, my parents let me get them.
S3 (03:30):
They are really cool, Max. Yeah.
S1 (03:33):
Really cool.
S4 (03:34):
And both of you pulled off your colors today. Lina.
Your purples match perfectly.
S3 (03:39):
Well. Thank you. I really tried to get the exact
same shade for everything.
S4 (03:44):
I can tell. And Colin coming in with that red? Yeah.
Are those lightning bolts on your pants?
S1 (03:52):
Uh, yeah, I guess, huh?
S4 (03:56):
Neato. Mosquito.
S1 (03:59):
So, what do you guys have for lunch today?
S3 (04:02):
Oh, I just have some leftovers from last night. Some rice, beans,
and my mama's famous homemade tortillas.
S4 (04:08):
I just got a regular PB and J. Looks like
you got the classic mystery meat sandwich. They serve every
week with a side.
S1 (04:14):
Of corn and chocolate milk.
S4 (04:16):
Classic. Max. Johnny. Hey, man. What's up?
S1 (04:20):
Saw your shoes while I was walking in. Oh, those
are epic.
S4 (04:23):
Thanks, man.
S1 (04:24):
Are those part of the Sapphire collection?
S4 (04:26):
You know it, dude. I know, right?
S5 (04:29):
Man, I'm gonna have to see if I can get
me a pair of those.
S4 (04:32):
For sure, bro.
S5 (04:33):
Okay, well, I'll catch you later at practice.
S4 (04:35):
See you later, Gator.
S5 (04:37):
Wow. Nice pants there, pal. Hey.
S1 (04:41):
Don't listen to me, Colin. I knew I shouldn't have
worn these today.
S4 (04:45):
Yeah. Don't pay attention to Johnny. He doesn't know what
he's talking about half the time. So you want to
trade that chocolate milk for my fruit punch.
S1 (04:54):
You can go ahead and have both. I'm not feeling
so well. I need to go to the bathroom. Lena,
I'll see you in class. And Max, I'll see you
at the club.
S3 (05:05):
Are you okay?
S1 (05:06):
Do you need a nurse? No, I should be fine.
I'll see you after lunch.
S3 (05:12):
Do you think you should follow him?
S4 (05:14):
No, I don't think he wants me to.
S3 (05:16):
Why did Johnny have to be so mean? Are you
sure you're okay? You're kind of quiet again.
S1 (05:28):
Lena, please stop asking. I told you I was okay. Okay, okay.
S6 (05:34):
Alrighty. If you can hear me, clap once. If you
can hear me, clap twice. It's day two of our
happy hive days. And boy, do we have quite the
colorful crowd today. Today we're going to continue our talk
on clothes from the Bible. And there's a reason today's
theme is Color Day. In today's story, there was a
(05:54):
young man by the name of Joseph who was given
a very special piece of clothing that was thought to
be very colorful.
S3 (06:01):
Oh, I love the story of Joseph.
S1 (06:03):
I've never heard it before.
S6 (06:04):
Joseph's story starts in Genesis 37. Joseph has ten older brothers,
and from the very beginning of his story, we see
that he is his dad's favorite. And to show that
he was his dad's favorite, he was given a robe
of many colors, a robe.
S1 (06:20):
No thanks. Actually, it.
S3 (06:22):
Was a big deal back then. So, you know, maybe
show some respect.
S6 (06:25):
Now, how would you feel if one of your brothers
or sisters was given a special gift to show that
your parents love them more? Yeah, probably not very good.
And that's just the same for Joseph's brothers. They were
filled with jealousy. Anyone here ever felt jealous before?
S1 (06:41):
Yeah. Every day.
S6 (06:42):
Yeah. Me too. But Joseph's brothers jealousy grew into hate.
They hated Joseph so much that they wanted to kill him.
S1 (06:50):
They wanted to kill him. That's intense.
S5 (06:53):
Yeah.
S6 (06:54):
There's a lot to the story of Joseph in his life.
There are a lot of unbelievably cool things that happened
to him, as well as a lot of unbelievably awful things,
but that's actually part of what makes it one of
my personal favorites. It's what I find so interesting about
his story is that it begins around the conflict between
him and his brothers, and the special gift his father
(07:14):
gave him a piece of clothing. And we can talk
about jealousy, and that God desires something better for us
than comparing our lives to others. But what I want
us to realize with the story of Joseph, his robe,
and his brothers, is that God can use even the
worst situations to accomplish what he wants.
S1 (07:34):
Huh? What was that? Colin?
S6 (07:35):
SH. There is obviously a lot in this story that
doesn't please God favoritism. Jealousy, pride. But God used even
the worst of situations to send Joseph to Egypt, where
he eventually became second in command under the Pharaoh in
that role. God used him to save thousands of people
from starving to death.
S1 (07:55):
Is that true? So now.
S3 (07:57):
You're gonna let me.
S1 (07:58):
Talk? Lina. Yes.
S3 (07:59):
It's true. He interpreted one of the Pharaoh's dreams where
God warned him about famine. So the Pharaoh put him
in charge of gathering food so that they were ready
when there wasn't any.
S6 (08:08):
Hey, guys. Quiet down, cause I really want you to
remember this truth. God can use every part of your life,
the good and the bad. No matter what you're walking through,
whether you feel like the favorite son or you feel
like you've been thrown in a pit by your brothers
and you're all alone. God sees you. He knows you,
and he wants you to trust him in every part
(08:31):
of your story. Let's pray.
S3 (08:37):
Okay. Should we head into the studio? I think I'm
starting to have some ideas for this month's podcast.
S1 (08:43):
Uh, I think I'm gonna stop by and see Mr.
Shades for a minute.
S3 (08:47):
Okay, but don't be long.
S1 (08:49):
I won't. Hey there, Mr. Shades. How you doing, little guy?
I know you're just a lizard, but do you think
(09:12):
it's all true? Do you think God can really use
every part of my story? It's definitely not a very
good story so far. And why do I always have
to be the one that's jealous of other people? Why
can't I be the one others are jealous of? It
just doesn't seem fair. Well, are you gonna say anything?
(09:36):
Little guy? Yeah, I guess not. What about you? God,
I'm not even sure if I think you're really real
or not. And if you are, if I can really
trust you. But if you are real, and if you
do really care about my story and can use it
(09:56):
for good. That sure would be nice. So would you
help me know?
S4 (10:03):
Ello, guv'nor.
S1 (10:04):
Max.
S4 (10:05):
Sorry. Did I scare you?
S1 (10:07):
Yeah. You did.
S4 (10:08):
What are you up to?
S1 (10:09):
Just needed a moment alone. Well, sort of alone.
S4 (10:14):
All right. Well, Leena told me to come grab you.
She says she's bursting with ideas for the podcast, and
she's getting a tad antsy.
S1 (10:21):
Okay. I'm coming. See you later, little guy. And, God.
We'll talk later, too.
S4 (10:29):
Chip? Chip. Cheerio, Mr. Shades, until we meet again.
S1 (10:32):
Okay, let's see what Leena has to say.
S4 (10:35):
Up to you, my fine sir.
UU (10:37):
Honeycomb. Chronic colds.
