Hello everyone, welcome to theJourney Out podcast.
My name is Brie, I am one ofyour hosts and this is I'm
Antoine.
And welcome to the Journey Outpodcast again.
So before we kind of get intowhat the Journey Out podcast is,
I want to talk to you a littlebit about our backstory so you
kind of know who we are and whywe started this podcast.
So, antoine, here is my fatherand we are the owners of two for

(00:32):
profit businesses and onenon-profit.
Our first for profit agency isgoing to be PC Home Health.
So we started that agency eightyears ago because of my great
grandmother who was dealing withAlzheimer's.
We did not know that she hadAlzheimer's.
It was very new to us.
We worked in the healthcarefield and we could not even
pinpoint those signs inside ofour own home.

(00:53):
And so once we got thediagnosis from the doctor, he
kind of sent us on our way, saidyou know, she needs 24-hour
support and we had to figure itout on our own.
And so through that journey itwas long, it was hard we powered
through we were able to getconnected to resources like the
Alzheimer's Association anddifferent key people in the
community that kind of helped usthrough that journey.
And so because of that westarted PC Home Health.

(01:16):
You know, my father said, hey, somebody else in the community
needs this type of support.
It's not just us, we're notalone in this, and that's how PC
Home Health was started, yes,and then along the way, because
of that, just wanted to againstill be a resource for the
community.
We started our communitycommunity and neighbors, which
is the nonprofit organizationthat we have, and again it's
just to be a resource, so thatnonprofit is geared towards

(01:38):
people with disabilities andtheir families, giving them the
resources that they need to beable to thrive in everyday life.
So it doesn't stop just withthe disability, it starts with
the family as well, you know, making sure that they have what
they need to care for theindividual dealing with that
disability.
And then, lastly, we have ourresidential care home.
So the residential care homewas started, again grassroots,

(01:59):
with PC Home Health.
You know we have clients thatwe see on a day-to-day basis and
families we see on a day-to-daybasis who are saying you know,
bree, antoine, mom, dad needsmore support.
You know we need 24 hours ofcare, we need caregivers here
around the clock, and in thehome care industry that can be
very costly, very costly, up to$5,000 a week.
A week, yeah.
So it can be super costly, andwe wanted them to still get the

(02:22):
quality of care and all of thesupport that they needed, but we
didn't want them to break thebank, and so we thought how can
we again be a resource to thesefamilies in their time of need?
And so we started CaringCovenant Community Homes, which
is a residential home that wejust recently got established
here in the Mansfield area, andwe are two months almost three

(02:43):
months in with the home, andit's again catered to families
who need that 24-hour supportwhere they can come and live in
a place that's going to givethem the quality of life that
they deserve.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, 24-hour, around-the-clock care and meals,
everything.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, everything's included in that.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So you and your loved one can rest right.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's the goal.
So it brings us here today tothe Journey Out podcast.
So you and your loved one canrest right.
