In a day and age where everything is competing for our attention—social media, deadlines, trends, and even good causes—the still, small voice of God often gets drowned out. Distractions are not always sinful; sometimes they’re simply subtle substitutes for intimacy with Christ.
Galatians 4:19 expresses Paul’s heartfelt desire: “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you.”
This is not just a poetic phrase—it is a spiritual necessity.
To allow Christ to be formed in us means to surrender daily, to make space in our cluttered hearts for His presence, and to choose depth over noise. It is a call to intentional discipleship, not just church attendance. It is becoming more like Him in thought, desire, speech, and deed.
Ask yourself today:
• Who or what has my attention?
• Is Christ being formed in me, or am I being shaped by something else?
Prayer:
Lord, quiet the noise around and within me. Form Christ in me until He becomes the center of all I do. Teach me to value Your voice above the distractions. Amen
