Speaker 1 (00:00):
In just moments, we'll have my exclusive interview with the
Vice President of the United States JD. Vance. Plus President
Trump's top man on the environment, EPA Administrator Lee Zelden,
joins us to explain the historic deal he's struck with
Mexico to clean up an environmental disaster. The Texas lawmaker
who exposed Texas A and M for trying to get
you to accept gender unicorns is here with the latest

(00:22):
on that developing story, and Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs will
update us on the latest effort to ban congressional stock trading.
It's all next on a banner episode of The Matt
Gates Show. Let's do this shaking up Washington, d C.
We're breaking the fever. Do you haven't watch this guy
on television? It's like a machine. He's great. Matt Gates,

(00:46):
we join you tonight for a special edition of The
Matt Gates Show. In moments, we will air my exclusive
interview with Vice President JD. Vance And who wouldn't want
to spend a few minutes talking to this guy?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Are you a racist? Do you hate Mexican?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Vice President Vance had a meteoric political rise and he
wasn't an initial supporter of President Trump. He's a maga convert,
but what a convert. He's become a great political athlete.
That's what President Trump called him on the campaign trail. Now,
Vice President Vance is one of President Trump's greatest warrior
leaders for the America First Movement. We observed Vice President

(01:23):
Vance's skill closely on the Anchorman Show. I expressed comfort
that JD has us for the long haul. I am encouraged, nonetheless,
because I do believe JD. Vance is the heir apparent
to this movement. And you know what people really think
when they're saying stuff when maybe they don't ever know
that that's going to be what people see. And one
of the positives of that houthy group chat is that

(01:46):
you saw in JD. Vance someone who's thoughtful, who asked
precisely the questions we would want asked by a commander
in chief in a circumstance such as this. And I
actually think he's gonna be a combination of tactical operational
capability right alongside vision and inspiration and motivation for a

(02:07):
lot of people. Mister Vice President, thank you so much
for joining us. It's an honor to have you on
the program, and I'm eager to get to the administration's
agenda for peace in the world and prosperity here at home.
But first, we do have breaking news today. Israel is
just bombed Doha, the capital of Qatar. President Trump included
Doha in his historic trip with Middle Eastern allies. What's
your reaction to the bombing of Doha.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Well, first, Matt, I just want to say congratulations. I
hear you're a new father. It's the best thing in
the world. So I hope you and mom and baby
are all doing well.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
But to respond to the point, we look, the President
made very clear today that he's not happy about that.
We just left the Oval Office and spoke about that.
You saw Carolyn Levitt, our great White House Press secretary,
talked about this. He doesn't think this serves Israel's interests
or the United States's interests, and so he's not happy
about it.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
But we're going to keep on working for peace.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Despite it, and hopefully see this as an opportunity. The
one good thing, Matt is it looks like it probably
eliminated a couple of very bad guys from Hamas, So
there's a silver lining. Even though we disagree with the
underlying decision, but we're going to keep on working to
get the hostages home.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
We're to keep on working.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
To end the war in the Middle East and hopefully
bring some peace. As you know, Matt, the President's had
a lot of success thus far. He's ended about seven
wars across the world, some of which in Rwanda and
the Congo have gone on for a very very long
time and cut a lot of innocent people. He is
very dedicated to this peace mission. He's dedicated to it
in Russia, Ukraine, the Middle East, and elsewhere. I think
obviously the Middle East and Russia Ukraine have been the

(03:31):
most vexing for US as an administration. But we'll keep
on at it.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, they never give you credit for the wars you
wind down. It's always the ones that are still in progress.
But I do want to get to that conflict between
Russia and Ukraine. What do you see as the administration's
plan to bring that war to an end?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Well, I think fundamentally, Matt, we're trying to sort of
apply leverage to both the Russians and the Ukrainians to
try to come to the table and make a deal.
And it's interesting Matt I've learned a lot of about
presidential leadership just in the past eight months watching the
President maneuver through.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
This process, because sometimes.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
He is candidly frustrated with the Ukrainian side, sometimes.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
He's frustrated with the Russian side.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
And he's using every tool that we have at our
disposal as an administration to try to get them to
the table. I think now we're at a point where
we've at least narrowed it to a couple of core issues.
One issue is territorial The Russians want about about six
thousand or so square kilometers that they have not yet
conquered through military force.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
That's what the Russians want. The Ukrainians, on the.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Flip side, they want a security guarantee, whether from the
europe or Europeans or somebody else, because they want confidence
that if they cut a deal, the Russians aren't going
to come back in a few months or a few
years asking for more. And so we've actually made incredible
progress just that we've highlighted and identified these two core issues.
The question really is whether the Russians and the Ukrainians

(04:53):
are going to walk through that door of peace that
the President has opened. We continue to work hard at it.
I spoke to the Special env Steve Woodkoff earlier today
about this question. We're just going to keep on working
it man, and I do think that eventually you're going
to come to a peaceful settlement. The question, Matt, is
really whether it lasts another year or another month, whether
you have another one hundred thousand or another million, God forbid,

(05:15):
people dye in the process. And our message to both
the Russians and the Ukrainians is this is not in
your interest.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
It's not an hour interest.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
What is in everybody's best interest is for peace to
break out in that region of the world.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
So we're going to keep on trying to work to
achieve that solution.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
You make an interesting point about the durability of that piece,
and it seems the United States views investment as one
of those tools you described to get to durable cooperation.
Sources have told me that Russian President Vladimir Putin has
suggested that sanctions relief could result in Russia moving more
of their energy commodities in the US dollar, functionally giving

(05:52):
Russia in the United States a lot of control over
US energy markets that could lower energy costs for Americans.
Do you see economic cooperation with Russia as one of
the things that could bring an end to some of
the hostilities that we want to see concluded.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, Matt, absolutely, And it's one of the carrots that
we've thrown out there. And the President's been very open
with both the Europeans and the Russians that he doesn't
see any reason why we should economically isolate Russia except
for the continuation of the conflict. He wants the killing
to stop. And then on the other side of peace,
he's very open to a whole host of economic arrangements

(06:29):
that are beneficial to the United States of America.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I mean, let's be.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Honest, whether you like or dislike Russia, whether you agree
or disagree with their underlying arguments for the conflict, the
simple fact is they've got a lot of oil, they've
got a lot of gas.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
They've got a lot of mineral wealth.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
And I think the President is absolutely right that once
we get this peace settled, we could have a very
productive economic relationship with both Russia and Ukraine and the
future and frankly, Matt, if we had a better relationship
economically in Eastern Europe, in that region of the world.
It might actually be the best guarantee of a long
term piece, because once you've got good economic relationships with people,

(07:05):
you don't want to blow that stuff up, quite literally
by restarting a war. So it's interesting, Matt. The President
is very much on this wavelength. Let's get the piece,
let's create some economic cooperation between Russia, Ukraine and the
United States of America, and let's set the table for
a long term, durable piece.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
What we had in the last.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Administration, Matt, is you know, well, I mean we were
talking about this stuff when we were both on Capitol Hill.
Is that Biden just wanted to funnel more and more
money into Ukraine, wanted to give more and more weapons,
more and more of America's wealth. There was no plan
and no real effort to engage in diplomacy to try
to bring this thing to a close. The President recognizes
it's not easy, recognizes that sometimes, you know, the Russians

(07:45):
of the Ukrainians.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Obviously don't see eye to eye.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
But we've got an opportunity, we think, to bring it
into the conflict and to actually create some real prosperity
on the other side of a piece. We're going to
keep on working at it again. I don't know how
long it's going to take, Matt, but I guarantee eventually
some sort of peaceful settlement is going to come out
of this war. It's just killing way too many people,
and I think in their heart of hearts, both the

(08:10):
Russians and the Ukrainians are exhausted with the fighting.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I do want to turn to the administration's domestic agenda.
You've passed your signature legislative accomplishment, the One Big Beautiful
Bill Act. Tell us how Americans are going to feel
the impact of this legislation and its implementation in the
coming weeks and months.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Look, there are working families tax cuts in this legislation, Matt,
that people are going to feel. I've seen estonemates that
suggest the average Americans take home pay is going to
go up by ten thousand dollars in four years because
of what this bill does. It cuts taxes on overtime,
it cuts taxes on tips, it cuts taxes on Social Security.
If you buy an American made automobile, it allows you

(08:50):
to deduct the interest on that loan against what you
have to pay the federal government in taxes. And of
course you know it increases the child tax credit and invests.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
In our families in a very big way.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
And Matt, I think maybe the most important thing is
that creates a lot of wealth to invest in American energy.
We had an administration and of the Biden folks that
went to war against American energy. We have under the
Trump administration and administration that's trying to make it easier
to invest in American energy and build wealth right here
in the United States of America. That's going to lower

(09:22):
cost for American consumers. Of course, you've already seen inflation
start to cool off a little bit, but there's a
lot more in this big, beautiful bill that I think
is going to deliver wins for the American people.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It was an amazing thing. And the last thing I'll.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Say about the legislation, mat is I believe the critical crisis,
the critical national emergency that we were confronting when we
took over on January the twentieth, was the wide open
southern border. We've got over one hundred billion dollars in
the Working Families tax cut to actually allow ICE and
other law enforcement agencies to get all the Biden open

(09:57):
border folks out of this country because if you let
ten twenty million people, which is what I think the
number is, the number of illegal aliens who came into
this country under the Biden administration, if you let them stay,
you're basically ratifying the Biden administration's border invasion through an action.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
We've got a lot of.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Resources here to get those illegal aliens out of our
country and to make sure that people realize you can't
come into the United States illegally without suffering from some
law enforcement, and that's exactly what we did with this
big bill.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
You're not even fighting the same battle the Biden administration
was fighting. They were trying to convince us the border
could never be secure. You and President Trump showed that
could be done immediately, and now you're working to undo
the harm in the interior of the country. How many
people do you think you can send home during this
four years.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
That's a big question, Matt.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
But I do think that you've seen the pace of
deportations ramp up in a very significant way since the
beautiful bill passed. That's because you've got so many more
resources for law enforcement and ice, and it's not just
the direct deport rotations that you can do, Matt. In
some ways. The most significant is that you have people
who are self deporting, people who recognize they're not going

(11:07):
to be rewarded for breaking America's immigration laws, and so
they're going to leave on their own accord. The estimates
that I've seen, Matt, suggest that we've got one point
six million fewer illegal immigrants in our country today than
when we take took over. I'd like to continue that
pace all the way through the four years of President
Trump's term, and that would get us eight million fewer.

(11:28):
I'd actually like to increase that number, because again, nobody
really knows, Matt, how many illegal immigrants came in during
the Biden administration. I think it was at least ten million,
probably more like twenty million. We want to get at
as much of those people out of the country as possible.
We're making great progress, but it's going to be a
long term effort.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
The Trump vance administration has really cleaned up Washington, d c.
It is so noticeable the criminals are no longer running
the streets. What's your message tonight, mister Vice President, to
Americans living in crime ridden cities like Detroit, Milwakey, Chicago,
especially those in California, what hope can the administration provide them.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
My message to the American people is, we don't have
to live like this. I think all of us, if
we live near a city, or we've just gone downtown
to take our family out for a meal on a
Friday night, we've all had this experience where you pass
somebody on the street who's obviously crazy, who's screaming and
yelling at your kids. You cross to the other side
of the street to avoid that person, or maybe, god forbid,

(12:28):
you've even been mugged at gunpoint, you've had your carjack
you know a friend, or somebody who's been victim of
a violent crime. This happens, Matt, way too much in
the United States of America. And the reason it happens
is because of weak leadership, because we've allowed the criminals
to take over the streets that ought, by right, belong
to the American people. And so long as we have
common sense law enforcement, this is not even that difficult, Matt.

(12:51):
If you look statistically, most of the violent crime in
our cities is committed by a very small fraction of
one percent of the population.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
If we just to road those people in jail.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
And kept them in prison, we could make America cities
safe for everybody, black, white, rich or poor, and that's
what we're trying to do. The most important thing that
we've seen in washingtond Cmat is the evidence that the
American people don't have to live like this, that if
you just do some common sense law enforcement, you can
give the American people back their streets. I would love

(13:22):
if we did this in every big American city, because
I think that American citizens deserve to live safely in
these big cities. They don't right now. But it doesn't
have to be like this. We just have to change
the leadership.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Final question for you, mister Vice President, you've defended recent
military strikes against drug traffickers and cartel members. What do
you think the rules of engagement should be when the
United States military has the ability to kill someone bringing
drugs into America?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Matt, I think the rules of engagement should be similar
to what they are in war, because we are, in
fact in a war against these drug cartels. And I
understand the concerns about due process. I understand some of
the criticisms that have been raised, but this is not
a situation where we can send.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
The Navy seals into these places.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Arrest them and give them a proper civil trial or
criminal trial. These people are engaged in criminal terrorist organization.
Sometimes they have the backing of organizations that are more
powerful than the governments that exist in these countries. And
our attitude is very simple that if you're engaged in
war against the American people, you are at risk of

(14:30):
having your entire operation literally blown to bits. And Matt,
I actually think it's one of the great things the
President has done. For How long have you and I
criticized prior administrations of both parties for sending the military
to some far flung.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Corner of the world.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
These cartels are killing one hundred thousand American citizens a day,
and they're in our own backyard doing it.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
We should be.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Using the military to go after these people. Thanks to
President Trump's leadership, we are. And you asked about rules
of engagement. If you're trying to kill our citizens, if
you're engaged in these criminal cartels, We're going to treat
you like a foreign enemy of the United States, because
that's exactly what you are.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
It doesn't seem like it's unreasonable to suggest that we
should have greater control over the Gulf of America than
like the Black Sea. It seems to be a lot
more aligned with our interests and I'm sure our military
members are honored to participate in those missions to protect
their fellow Americans. Vice President of America JD. Vance, thank
you so much for coming on the program.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Good to see it. Matt, take care.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Man and joining me now to react. Is the host
of the Real Story o An Zone. Riley lewis someone
who certainly keeps his eye on politics in the news. So, Riley,
did that look like the future of the MAGA movement
to you? Oh?

Speaker 4 (15:38):
Absolutely. I firmly believe that Vice President of Vance will
be the next president of the Great United States. And
for so many reasons. He's operating at such a high level,
with so much focus and determination and energy, and it's
really refreshing, especially considering what we saw with Joe Biden
and Kamala Harris, which was a disaster to be polite.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
And the focus on our hemisphere and the problems in
our country and in the Gulf of America as opposed
to wanting to continue to reinvest in wars abroad. It
really seemed to bring home where the Trump administration is
placing their priorities. You think that's a part of the
Vance brand.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
I completely do, and it speaks to his story as well.
This is somebody who basically comes from absolute nothing, I mean,
just horrible conditions growing up, goes to serve his country,
to pay for college, to get a gi bill, works
his way through Yale Law school. Now he's in the
Oval Office serving as fellow citizens. It's really remarkable and impressive.
And the thing I love that I think he has

(16:38):
in common with President Trump is that he relates to
the average American. He doesn't overlook us. He doesn't ignore
us or shame us anymore. The era of the forgotten
man and a woman in this country is finally over,
and I just I love it very much and it
means a great deal to me.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
It seemed like the biggest challenge the Vice President had
in the interview was ticking through all the different things
in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, thinking about that
how that has a singular effect on how a family
thinks about the economy. Now, I know you've been following
the effect of this bill and covering it on the
real story. What are you see in that's breaking through

(17:13):
and how would you advise the administration to talk about
such a sweeping policy proposal in real terms for families.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
I would focus on bringing down the cost of living.
He spoke about the tax cuts with you and making
sure that Americans have more money in their wallets for themselves. So,
looking at the fact that we just went through a
cost of living crisis, Joe Biden brought us the highest
inflation rate we've seen in four decades.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
So there's a lot of work to be.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Done in terms of bringing down prices, bringing down the
cost of living, and making sure that people can afford
to take care of themselves once again, making sure that
we don't have people coming out of retirement just to
work again because taxes and inflation destroyed their savings. Under
Joe Biden.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Riley lewis the host of The Real Story. He kicks
off our outstanding primetime lineup here on One American News.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
America, We Wanted to Check in on Capitol Hill and
the campaign trail. Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs joins us in moments.
He's running for governor. He's also one of the lawmakers
calling for a ban on congressional stock trading. That effort
has picked up steam recently, with Texas Congressman Ship Roy

(20:38):
explaining he's going to apply pressure to get a vote.

Speaker 7 (20:41):
It's time to do this. We need a vote on
the floor of the House on banning congressional stock trading.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
It's time.

Speaker 7 (20:47):
At some point, sometimes you have to use the full
rules of the House to force people to action.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Also in Capitol Hill, the shock waves of HHS Secretary
RFK Junior and his electric testimony are till reverberating vise
of the vaccines and now the media is taking aim
at anyone who deviates from the vaccine orthodoxy that has
led America to some of the highest rates of chronic
disease in the developed world. The Arizona Republic says Congressman

(21:14):
Biggs is a shill. An RFK is a kuk. Congressman
Biggs RFK Junior has bucked traditional vaccine orthodoxy. The Arizona
Republic has called him a kook, and you a shill.
Now we know Big Pharma has about three lobbyists for
every member of Congress. So if you're a shill, who
are you shilling for?

Speaker 8 (21:34):
Well, obviously I'm shilling for the American public, the voters,
the constituents, the American people who deserve to know the
truth about vaccine, vaccine damage, and every other health issue
that's come up in the last thirty years that have
been hidden by the powers that be.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Man in Florida, our Surgeon General just said there would
be no vaccine requirements for students to enroll in public schools.
If you were governor of Arizona, what would be your
vaccine policy for public schools?

Speaker 8 (22:08):
I think I think parents should make that choice. I mean,
right now, the schedule met is about seventy six different vaccines,
and I think Robert Kennedy has shed the light and said,
we don't know what all of them do harm wise,
and so we need to find that out. And that's
what he's talking about. But for me, this is real easy.

(22:30):
This becomes a parental choice type of issue.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
I just think it's really interesting that in your state,
the Arizona Republic has chosen this battle when you've got
all of the moneyed interests in advertising wanting to preserve whatever,
like fig leaf of legitimacy, this health process I might
have left, and at the same time, the people who
just want to get to the data are are demonized.

(22:56):
It's kind of wild. But I want to turn also
to this issue of congression stock trading. You've been one
of the leaders to try to ban congressional stock trading.
Why hasn't there been a vote yet? And who's blocking it?

Speaker 8 (23:08):
Well, I mean, obviously it's got to the block has
got to be coming from the leaders, right, And the
why I can only speculate. I don't know why, but
I can tell you this that when I first got
elected to the state legislature, I kind of dumped all
my individual stocks and said, I can't do this anymore.
So for the last twenty five years, I've not try

(23:33):
not held individual stocks. Why is that Because even if
if you're able to actually be the one in a
million who can set aside any bias when you have
a financial stake in it, the appearance is bad. So
let's let's get rid of the conflict of interest or
the appearance of conflict of interest and just say, look,

(23:54):
if you want to do it, soak it, put it
away in a money market or a mute fund or
something like that, but stops trading individual funds.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Congressmanship Roy, Congressmanship Roy came on our program previously and
said that he thought that, you know, members of Congress
took some joy in their rising defense stock when these
conflicts would happen around the world. One would notice today
that Israel has attacked Qatar and Doha and defense stocks

(24:24):
are rising. What's your reaction to that attack on Qatar?

Speaker 8 (24:28):
Well, the question is is the why? And when we
look at Cutter and Doha and the problems that they've
been behind a lot of stuff, but ostensibly we were
trying to work with them to help bring peace to
the Middle East. Well, who knows the reason why Israel

(24:49):
did it. But getting back to your underlying question, your
predicate there, Matt, there are people who who are total
neo cons and they do invest in defense stocks, and
you know they want to see the armaments get used,
and then yet we have to buy more and we

(25:09):
just keep building this up. That's what Dwight Eisenhower called
the industrial military industrial complex and warned us about.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
I do want to turn to the substantive issue of
this is Israel attack on Qatar, because Qatar hosts our military. Exactly.
I have former constituents who are in the Air Force
and they are at the US military base in Qatar.
Is it just me who finds it super weird that
US funded weapons are landing in a country that is

(25:37):
hosting US troops.

Speaker 8 (25:40):
No, man, that you and I are. We're riding the
same pony here, I look at it. I just don't
understand what the Israel motivation is, and I'm sure that
someone will come along and explain it to me. But
we get back to my point, which is that Cutter
knowledge only is hosting us, but we were relying on

(26:00):
Cutter to actually act as cutouts or intermediaries to try
to negotiate some of these these peace initiatives that we
would like in the Middle East.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
So the question is what did we know?

Speaker 8 (26:14):
Why did when did we know?

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Why was this? Here? Is Cutter involved?

Speaker 8 (26:20):
I mean, for a while we know that they Cutter
was involved as kind of a support system for some
terrorist organizations.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
So that's because we were asking them to Like the
US ambassador, the ambassador from Cutter to the United States
wasn't shy about this. He wrote an opinion piece in
the Wall Street Journal saying, we are hosting Hamas because
the United States has asked us to do so. And
I presume that that's because maybe it's easier for us
to keep an eye on Hamas more in Doha than

(26:52):
if they were wandering around the deserts of Syria or
somewhere else. And I don't know. It seems like you've
got the right questions and we get an answer to them.
I do want to give you a chance give us
an update on where your governor's race stands in Arizona.
How can folks learn more about your campaign and what
do you think are the key questions that you're answering
in that primary contest?

Speaker 8 (27:12):
Now, well, you know I still have a substantial lead
in the primary and it's going to hold there. And
I've been all over the state, but people the questions
people ask about constantly are they want to make sure
the borders secure, really secure. They want to make sure
we stop the drug in human trafficking, which does impact
our state more than any other state. They want public safety,

(27:34):
but they also want economy. Under this current Democrat governor, Matt,
we've gone from like number two or three in job
growth to number forty seven, and so they want to
know what we're going to do with taxes, which I'm
going to eliminate income tax, and they want to know
what we're going to do on regulations because they want
our economy back, and they want to make sure that
the American dream is alive and in Arizona, so that

(27:56):
people can buy houses. Young people can buy houses and
get started, because Matt, you and I both know this.
When you can buy a home, that's that's that's actually
the start of family formation, and family formation is critical
to this great country and being who we are. So
that's what's going on. It's it's great. The people have
been very supportive. The enthusiasm and will met up still

(28:19):
very strongly in my favor. You get to talk to
the President the other night.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
You know, it's good.

Speaker 8 (28:25):
It's good to be an ally of the most powerful
person on the planet.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Yes, indeed, and Andy Biggs is a Donald Trump endorsed
candidate for governor in Arizona. We wish you well, thanks
for coming on the program.

Speaker 8 (28:37):
Thank you, Matt, Take care of my friend.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
And coming up, we've got a member of President Trump's cabinet,
the head of the EPA, Leez Eldon, here to discuss
a landmark deal he has closed with Mexico to clean
up the Tijuana River. It has major environmental implications. Don't
go anywhere.

Speaker 5 (28:58):

Speaker 1 (31:11):
For decades, the Tijuana River has been a source of
persistent environmental and public health turmoil, sending billions of gallons
of raw sewage across the US Mexico border, shutting down
beaches and jeopardizing military training. But this summer, EPA administrator
Lee Zelden delivered a historic breakthrough, a binding agreement with
Mexico to stop the flow of the toxins and the

(31:33):
waste and the pollution permanently. The Tijuana River stretches one
hundred and twenty miles from Baja California to the Pacific
at Imperial Beach. It has long discharged this untreated sewage
and industrial waste into the San Diego coastal waters. Gross
Imperial Beach alone is seen over one thousand days of
beach closures due to the pollution, devastating local tourism and

(31:54):
life in that community. Pollutants from bacteria to illicit drug
traces and chemicals are aerosolized along the coast, affecting those
who even stay on land. San Diego's beaches and serf
zones are vital training grounds for elite forces. Sewage contamination
has forced cancelations and relocations of Navy Seal training at

(32:16):
Coronado alone, over eleven hundred cases of acute gastro intestinal
illness were reported among trainees over just a four year period.
President Trum's EPA administrator took action. He didn't think America
should sit back and be polluted and diminished militarily because
Mexico was treating us like their toilet in Mexico City.
Zelden InCD a memoran amount of understanding with Mexico's environmental

(32:39):
secretary a sweeping, binding plan to fix the sewage crisis.
EPA administrator Lee Zelden joins US now Administrator Zelden. The
Tijuana River has been a scorge on the San Diego
community for many years. As you know, San Diego is
the home of one American News. When did you first
become aware of this problem and invested in a well?

Speaker 9 (33:01):
I first heard about the impacts to our Navy Seals
before I got in as an administrator, and we quickly
scheduled a visit to San Diego to see for ourselves
what's going on on the ground. Not just not only
did we visit with the Navy Seals their training site
at Coronado, but we also went to the treatment plant.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
We saw it on the ground. We took a helicopter tour.

Speaker 9 (33:27):
Saw the pollution of the waterways where the Tijuana River
ross sewage is getting dumped into the ocean. It was
a pre productive visit that actually started out inside of
the Mexican consulate in San Diego, where a delegation from
the Trump administration met with a Mexican delegation, including the
Environmental Secretary, to start talking about the need to urgently

(33:50):
resolve a crisis that's been going on for decades. And
that launched a sprint And I'm happy to be on
with you to talk about what happened next.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Yet, No, I want to get to the solution and
what it means and how we're going to enforce it.
But I am enger to hear, like, what did those
Navy seals tell you and tell the Mexican delegation about
the impact of this pollution out of the Tijuana River
on their training. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (34:14):
So the meeting that I had with the Navy Seals
was the next day, separate from the meeting that had
with the Mexican delegation, and it's been a big impact
on training there. Instead, you know, a lot of Americans
all across the country tuning in. They've all seen the
videos of Navy seals training in that water in the
ocean there in Coronado. But unfortunately, because of the raw sewage,

(34:40):
that training would get moved either to a pool or
to a location far away.

Speaker 6 (34:46):
And there's a concern for.

Speaker 9 (34:48):
The health of our Navy seals. We don't want them
to be getting sick. We don't want any Americans to
get sick. And you know you're down in San Diego.
You know this well for any American tuning in else
around the country. We're talking about closed beaches, foul smell,
degradation of the Tijuana River valley. The consequences of this

(35:10):
raw sewage crisis is one that residents of San Diego
feel in all sorts of different senses and the quality
of their lives. I've been desperate, begging for a long term,
permanent solution for way too long, and fortunately.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
President Trump came in.

Speaker 9 (35:28):
I mean, I've been in meetings with President Trump where
the conversation would have absolutely nothing to do with Tijuana River,
and the beginning, middle and end of that meeting he
is talking with passion about the need to resolve this
and that actually was happening right around the time that
I took that visit in April. President Trump was tuned in.

(35:48):
He was actively involved in these conversations, and this ended
up being a very important priority, not just of the EPA,
but working with the State Department, working with the White
House and other agencies collaboratively to get what ended up
being an agreement signed by the United States and Mexico
at the end of July.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
And what are the key features of that agreement and
how are you going to enforce it?

Speaker 9 (36:12):
So the three most important categories, I would say three
most important priorities of that agreement. One was getting Mexico
to obligate the remaining ninety three million dollars that it
had previously committed in a prior minute. It's called this
was an agreement between United States and Mexico, but Mexico
had yet obligated close to one hundred million dollars of

(36:35):
funding needed for these Mexico side projects. The second part,
the second priority, was to stress test timelines to get
projects done faster. And one of the examples that ended
up making it as part of this agreement was that
the United States had been with holding some border funding

(36:58):
and using it as as leverage in these conversations to
get Mexico to move up the timeline on a couple
of Mexico side projects that would help resolve this. Then
the BWIT funding ends up getting released the US the
prior appropriated funds, and other projects would end up getting

(37:20):
advanced at that point, So Mexico would have to move
forward with diverting ten million gallons per day away from
the Tijuana River as an example of multiple obligations that
they made to get projects done in twenty twenty six
that before this agreement, they weren't going to be doing
in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 6 (37:41):
So that was a big deal.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
But that's not the last of it.

Speaker 9 (37:43):
Part of the agreement gives one hundred days to both
sides from the moment of signing this memory of understanding
to continue to stress test other projects in this timeline.
But here's the third part, the third priority of this
agreement that was really important. If we just rested on

(38:04):
what was agreed to previously and said, okay, if we
just get done what was previously agreed upon to United
States and Mexico and we'll just call the day now,
what we would be talking about is essentially a partial
solution that would quickly become outdated as the population in
Tijuana River continues to grow. So we've been pursuing a permanent,

(38:27):
one hundred percent solution. And this is the third part
of this agreement, where Mexico is agreeing to a long
list of additional Mexico side projects that we at the
at the United States, at the EPA, we believe is
imperative to actually be done with this crisis once and
for all.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
That is an incredible list of accomplishments. And if Mexico
is lax in those timelines, are the what are the
teeth to ensure that they know that they don't deviate it?
Are we going to potentially withhold water from them?

Speaker 9 (39:05):
Well, one of the things that you know, I just
referenced a minute or two ago, is the president that
President Trump, the Trump administration, the US government has shown
that willingness to withhold funding that was previously appropriated. That
Border Water Infrastructure Program funding. The b WHIP funding is
an example of that, which ended up resulting in Mexico

(39:28):
agreeing to get these projects done faster. Here's one of
the really good things about this engagement from April when
I first sat down with the Mexico delegation to the
end of July when I was in Mexico City to
sign the agreement.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Is that we didn't have to go through this.

Speaker 9 (39:46):
Three month period having to threaten them and tell them
about all over the different ways that the Trump administration
has leverage. There was no there was no threats involved.
It was just about spending every single opportunity every week
to advance to this memory of understanding that agreed I

(40:07):
could agree to at the end of July. And it's
been really productive collaborative. And I'll give a shout out
by the way, at the State Department to Secretary Rubio,
Deputy Secretary Landau, and the US Ambassador to Mexico, Ron Johnson.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yes, they played a really important role to help. Ambassador
Johnson a former constituent of mine in Niceville, Florida. And
I am heartened and to a degree astonished. You didn't
have to threaten anybody. When we were in Congress together,
I saw you threaten people all the time, righteously, of course,
for the right reasons, for your constituents and for the truth.
But we're so grateful in the San Diego community, and

(40:44):
certainly around the country that you've put cleaning up the
environment on this type of a collaborative path with Mexico
EPA administrator Lez Elden. Thanks as always for joining the program.

Speaker 6 (40:54):
Thanks Matt.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Coming up, Texas State Representative Brian Harrison joins us to
explain what gender you corns are and why they were
teaching them at Texas A and M University against President
Trump's executive order. We'll talk about the consequences next.

Speaker 5 (41:13):
Hey, if your cable provider doesn't offer one America News Network,
you should give them a call and kindly demand that

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Have you ever heard of a gender unicorn? I'll admit
I hadn't until I began researching this story. Apparently, teachers
are using gender unicorns in American classrooms to explain that
gender and sex are two different things. The funky looking
unicorn is apparently what pedagogy has settled on to explain
that how you feel on the inside isn't always the

(43:46):
same as what shows up on the outside. The irony
is apparently lost on no one that both transsexuals and
unicorns are not real. It is not a real thing
that a boy turn into a girl, just like it's
not a real thing that a horse can turn into
a unicorn. Slap a horn on a horse, it's still
a horse. Slap some fake breasts on a man, still

(44:09):
a man. President Trump is rescuing us from the scourge
of gender unicorns. It's not a joke. He signed executive
orders to give students the tools to fight, fight, fight back.
That's exactly what happened at Texas A and M University.
Take a listen, you just.

Speaker 10 (44:24):
Have a question, because I'm not entirely sure this is
leal to be teaching, because according to our president, there's
only two genders. And he said that he would be
freezing agencies funding programs that promote promote gender ideology. And
this also very much goes against not only myself, but

(44:45):
a lot of people's religious beliefs.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
Yes, you are on.

Speaker 11 (44:55):
Slow You're doing is not and if you love AMM
it is we need to talk to the department. I
don't know comments that were post affective and stopping with
the teaching things the biologic he was like legal and
after forty professional as in this.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
Passion, did that teacher just reference ethical authority when teaching
the gender unicorns. It is astonishing and illegal that this
professor was teaching the gender unicorns. And when a student
objected based on the law and religious beliefs, it was
the student who was admonished. This classroom at Texas A
and M was so devoid of reality that the person

(45:39):
objecting was somehow having to explain for not adhering to
a mythical creature being applied to this bizarre problem. State
Representative Brian Harrison blew the whistle on this. He showed
how his home state university was wrong. That got the
attention of our friends at the Department of Justice. HARMEI
Dillon said that the Civil Rights Division would be looking

(45:59):
into the matter. Texas State Representative Brian Harrison joins us now, Representative,
when you brought attention to this bizarre fact pattern at
Texas A and M. It actually got the attention of
the United States Department of Justice. How has the university responded, Well.

Speaker 12 (46:16):
I'll tell you what's outrageous about that.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
I mean, it's amazing.

Speaker 12 (46:18):
I love what hard Meat Dylan's doing, and I'm thrilled
to see the Trump Department of Justice jump into the
for a and commit to taking bold action. Unfortunately, the
federal government has responded quicker than the Texas governments. And
the reality is that Texas A and M has been
indoctrinating students into DEI transgender indoctrination for a lot of

(46:40):
years now, and quite frankly, I was shocked to learn
this when I got elected down here. I actually think
the Texas government might be the biggest funder of DEI
and transgender in doctrination in America. So, unfortunately, the Texas
A and M university leadership team is digging their hole,
and they're digging it deeper by the hour, putting out
dishonest statement after dishonest statement, pretending to fire people when
they apparently are not, at least that we can tell,

(47:02):
actually firing anybody. And what has to happen now is
that the president of the university who threatened a student
who has engaged in a cover up. Who has been
pushing unapologetically DEI and transgender doctrination four years, including on
leaked audio I just released a couple of hours ago
where he says, quote, there's nothing wrong with teaching this
and in fact promoted the idea of standing up an
entirely new professional track for people who want to only

(47:24):
study LGBTQ literature. This president must be fired. I think
the university might also have violated the student's constitutionally protected
civil rights. That there may be lawsuits in the future
as more come out, and I think more is going
to come out.

Speaker 1 (47:38):
The only defense for that articulated position is that both
transgenderism and unicorns are not real. And if you were
presenting it in that format, maybe it would be acceptable.
But the accountability you've called for, who has the ability
to actually bring that to bear? Can the governor do that?
Can the board tells how?

Speaker 12 (47:56):
Yeah, look that the governor could have hinted this that
long time ago. So the governor should have had this
person fired a long time ago. And I asked the
governor in writing yesterday to direct this president be fired,
and unfortunately the governor has not taken action to fire
the president. But you mentioned a transgender and unicorns. I
would be remiss if I don't point out in the
first video that I released, if you zoom in really close,
and I'm not making this up, Matt, even though people

(48:19):
would believe that I was.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
What was on the.

Speaker 12 (48:21):
Projection scream in the class what do with the liberal
Marxist progressive professor was forcing the students to learn is
literally called the gender unicorn. That is what the essy
extreme transgender is being propagandized at Texas A and University
and quite frankly, at public universities all across the state
of Texas. Texans are being taxed out of their homes

(48:42):
to fund the Biden Harris and Nancy Pelosi agenda in
the state of Texas. It's an absolute outrage of people
need to be fired, and they need to be fired immediately.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
I don't think you can texify this unicorn. I think
even with like a cowboy hat, even with a saddle,
the trans unicorn probably does not have a place in Texas.
But representative, what should students do if they are in
a classroom and the transgendered unicorn er? Any more of

(49:09):
this nonsense shows up.

Speaker 12 (49:11):
Well they need to actually exactly what this brave student
just did. And I spoke to her last night. She
has asked us to keep her anonymous. She's not wanting
to be in these stories. But she recorded this footage
and she took it straight to the President of Texas
A and M, who himself engaged in the cover up.
The dean of the depart of the department head instigated
an entire scheme, the whole plan to cover this up

(49:32):
to threaten the student. Literally tried to threaten the student
to suppress the undercover footage that she had released, and
then try to force the student to basically accept the
deal where the professor would keep teaching the class, but
the student would not be allowed to return, and in exchange,
the student would get to keep the grades she had
earned in order to let A and M sweep this

(49:55):
under the rugs. So when this all came out during
the summer, This came out during the summer A and
M statement, And that makes it sound like the president
just learned about this.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
They used the word yesterday.

Speaker 12 (50:03):
I've got in an audio of him from weeks ago
instead of over the summer when they learned about this,
taking corrective action firing the professor, getting rid of the
department head. They planned a dishonest cover up. They threatened
the student. They tried to pressure the student into silence.
Instead of getting rid of each professor, they tried.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
To send the student on like a trans unicorn ride
out of the classroom with their great so they wouldn't
have to confront their own conduct. But you did make
them confront that conduct. I really do believe your involvement
is what got the tension of the Department of Justice.
We thank you for it and hope we can check
back with you soon. Stay representative.

Speaker 12 (50:40):
I appreciate you bringing light and exposing the truth.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
Is always mag great to be with you. God bless you,
God bless Texas As.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Always. Take care and coming up, we will cover the
attack from Israel on Doha. We've got some thoughts on that,
and we've got an administration in the United States saying
that what Israel has done is not helpful and we agree.
Don't go anywhere.

Speaker 5 (52:40):
Hey, did you know that One America News Network has
launched a twenty four to seven Twitter like social media replacement.
We're calling it free Talk forty five. So why is
it branded free talk forty five. Well, free talk because
you will not be censored for expressing your opinion there,
and forty five because forty five is a really lucky number.

(53:03):
So join us at free Talk forty five and express
yourself with no fear of cancelation.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
Ever, what's your reaction to the bombing of Doha?

Speaker 3 (53:18):
We look, the President made very clear today that he's
not happy about that.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
We just left the Oval Office and spoke about that.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
You saw Carolyn Levitt, our great White House Press secretary,
talked about this. He doesn't think this serves Israel's interests
or the United States' interests, and so he's not happy
about it.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
But we're going to keep on working for peace.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
Despite it and hopefully see this as an opportunity. The
one good thing, Matt, is it looks like it probably
eliminated a couple of very bad guys from Hamas, So
there's a silver lining, even though we disagree with the
underlying decision.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
That was Vice President JD. Vance earlier on our program,
exclusively responding to Israel's attacks on Qatar, targeting the capital
city Doha. Israel claims they were targeting Hamas's leadership. Others
are wondering if the government of Israel is derailing peace
to gogotiations by executing the negotiators or attempting to. In
the fog of war, it's easy to get frustrated and

(54:07):
in the Middle East. President Trump has brashly observed some
hard truths.

Speaker 5 (54:11):
Basically, have two countries that have been fighting so long
and so hard that they don't know what the they're doing.

Speaker 1 (54:18):
You understand that. So why does Katar allow the leadership
from Hamas to live in their country? According to their
ambassador to the United States, it's because the United States
specifically asked them to. In a twenty twenty three opinion
piece for The Wall Street Journal, the Katari Ambassador to
the United States, Michelle bin Hamad Altani, said that Washington
wanted the Office to quote establish indirect lines of communications

(54:41):
with Hamas close quote. Countries shouldn't get bombed by our
allies for acquiescing to our requests. Today's attack has the
United Arab world speaking in condemnation of Israel. The Katari
for Foreign Minister called the strike cowardly saying it constitutes
a quote blatant violation of international law and norms. Saudi

(55:05):
Arabia has reiterated its quote full solidarity and standing by
the sister state of Qatar and making all of its
capabilities available in support of whatever measures it takes. The
United Arab Emirates describes the attack as quote a serious
assault on international law and the Charter of the United
Nations and an irresponsible escalation that threatens regional and international

(55:27):
security and stability. This according to the A's Foreign Minister.
According to Egypt's president, quote, this escalation undermines international efforts
to achieve calm and threatened security and stability in the
entire region. Kuwait expressed its total support for Qatar and
all of its measures to preserve its stability and sovereignty
in a statement from its foreign ministry. So we can't

(55:48):
exactly say this attack is making friends and influencing people
for Israel. How is attacking Doha a path to peace?
How is killing the people you're negotiating with likely to
lead to an end to hostilities. We are struggling to
find any credible evidence that Israel wants peace. We remind
you what we said about Prime minister in net Yahu's goals.

(56:09):
He wants to disrupt major Arabian capital markets. You see,
if there is war and chaos and violence in the
Arab world, it becomes very difficult for nbs or leaders
in other golf monarchies to sell that their region is
open for business, ripe for investment. It's hard to plan
your investment build out in Doha if you think you're

(56:31):
gonna get caught in the crossfire of an Iranian missile
or be overrun by millions of terrorism primed refugees. The
chaos breaking it, as Mark Theesen said, that's the endgame.
This may serve the interests of Israel's elite. They want
to limit the rise of the Muslim world in the
financial sector. I said that in June, and doesn't it

(56:54):
seem like exactly what's going on here? What's next? Are
they gonna Gaza Doha? We certainly hope not. Vice President
Vance correctly pointed out on our program that what Israel
did wasn't helpful and we have to start asking how
long do we want US funded weapons landing in countries
graciously hosting US troops. That's all the time we have.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
