we're going to get our first report right away. A
big battle in the OK Red starting off conference play
for both East Kelvin and Jennison. They're both two and
zero going in here's Remy Monaghan with a report.

in a snap. Final score from Jennison fifty four to seven.
East Kentwood remains unbeaten in the twenty twenty five season,
(01:19):
earning their first OK win tonight. Last week. Tyrone Swopes,
their head coach, said after their win over Byron Center,
they were sloppy and needed to clean some things up,
and it seemed like they did that tonight. For the
most part, first quarter was tough, several mistackles and back
to back drop passes that would have really progressed them
down the field, but started the second quarter with a
short touchdown run from Nazir Williams that was his first
(01:41):
of two scores tonight. On the first play of the
next drive, Body Skidaman for Jennison took it up seventy
seven yards to the house, tying things up at seven. Sadly,
that was their one and only time the Wildcats found
the end zone in this game. These Kentwo went on
to score three more times before halftime and was up
twenty six to seven at the break. The second half
(02:02):
was much of the same. They had six different players
find the end zone, helping uplift their score. I want
to be known that Jennison isn't bad. We've seen them
be not great in years pass and this is not
the case. It's just that East Kentwood was better and faster.
The time between snaps is much shorter, and EK has
more weapons on offense. In our game tonight, the Healthcare

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I gotta give it to the EK receiving Corps. Like
I said, six different players finding the end zone for
the Falcons. So again there are our health Care Associates
Players of the game. Jennison, dropped to two and one,
will travel out to Grand Haven next week, while EK,
still undefeated at three and zero, will be on the
road at Rockford for a huge Okay Red battle. This
report presented by Service Professor. They'll fix it in a

fifty four to seven. Reporting from David McKenzie Stadium and Jennison.

Reporting from Hawksfield at Forest Hills Eastern High School. This
is Service Professor, Game reporter Scott Moore with a Meyer
postgame show summary. This report is presented by Service Professor Heating, Cooling, plumbing,
and Electrical. They'll fix it in a snap here tonight.
Unity Christian picked up their third straight road wind with
a convincing thirty five to seven decisions over the Hawks
(04:00):
here in Ada, Unity Christian fumbled on just a second
play of the game that gave Forest Hills Eastern the
ball on the twenty yard line. After four plays, Jordan
Schabbaz rumbled in from three yards out and Eastern had
a seven to nothing lead. The Crusaders, though, struck back
with thirty five unanswered points, cashing in on five of
their next seven possessions. The first possession ended with a
(04:24):
twenty eight yard touchdown run by Lucas Elliott. Point after
attempt was no good. It was seven to six Eastern.
Then an interception gave Unity Christian the ball on the
Eastern thirty four yard line on the second play after that,
it was a twenty nine yard pass from Justin Phoebus
to Hudson Dirks. A two point conversion by Phoebus made
(04:44):
it fourteen to seven in favor of Unity Christian, and
just before the half, the Crusaders scored again on a
ten yard touchdown pass from Phoebus to Levi Butler. The
two point conversion was good and the halftime score was
Unity Christian twenty two Forest Hills Eastern seven. In the
second half, both teams went three and out to start
(05:06):
the second half, but then Lucas Elliott ended the second
drive for Unity Christian with his second touchdown of the
game from nine yards out. And then usually we have
a Healthcare Associates play of the game, but how about
tonight a Healthcare Associates drive of the game. Unity Christian
got the ball on their own twenty two yard line
(05:26):
with thirteen seconds to play in the third quarter, and
they moved down the field seventy eight yards in an
eighteen played drive that chewed up ten minutes and twelve
seconds on the clock. The final play was a four
yard touchdown pass from Phoebus to Isaiah Williams, and our
final score was Unity Christian thirty five, Forest Hills Eastern seven.
(05:48):
With the win, Unity Christian a perfect three to zero
on the season, Forest Hills suffers their first loss, falling
to two to one. Next week, the Crusaders open OK
goldplay with their first home game of the season, taking
on the Chicks of Zealand East, while Forest Hills Eastern
opens their OK White season with a homecoming contest against Whalen.
(06:09):
This report was presented by Service Professor. They'll fix it
in a snap once again. Our final tonight was Unity
Christian over Forest Hills Eastern thirty five to seven, and
our Healthcare Associates Player of the game was Unity Christian
quarterback Justin Phoebus, who unofficially completed five of six passes
for one hundred and one yards and three touchdowns. Reporting
(06:32):
from Forest Hills Eastern High School, this is Service Professor,
Game reporter Scott Moore.
Speaker 2 (06:36):

congrats on the win. You got to be pretty pleased
with your defense, especially, I would think, thanks.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Ray, appreciate it, man. Yeah, our defense was incredible tonight.
Our special teams unit were really good too.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
But I appreciate that you go into this game both too.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
And oh, you know you're coming off last year, that
great season last year. How much did you have to
talk to the guys about leaving last year's success behind? Brent,
you know that this is a whole new year.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
Yeah, we haven't had to talk about that too much,
to be honest with you. I mean, you know, these kids,
I think, you know, some things are establis last year
culturally that just I feel like, you know, are part
of our you know who we are as an identity.
But but these guys know like, hey, it's it's a
new team. It's a new group of you know, send
me some kids on our program right now for a
varsity team, and we're gonna play hard and it's okay
(08:15):
Red football. So you know, we're just talking about what
we need to do this week and you know, staring
on Monday and get ready, you know, to culminated tonight.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
What's your strength of the team right now? What position
do you feel strongest about right now?
Speaker 6 (08:34):
It's hard to it's hard to stay one. I mean,
you know, I feel like defensively we've been We've been
really really good all the season. You know, teams really
haven't been able to uh to run the ball against us.
You know, I our box defensively is you know, we
feel it's really good about that, you know. But uh,
you know we we feel you know, pretty deep at
(08:55):
uh at most every most every place.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
You know.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
So yeah, I mean, I guess I'll say just defensively in.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Our box starting off two and all. But now you
get into the okay Red play. That's got a feel
really good coach to start conference play with a solid
win at home. And I know you had a good
crowd there tonight.
Speaker 6 (09:12):
Oh it was incredible, man, this it was such a
cool night. We you know, we did you know a
Military night tonight and we had veterans come in line
the sidelines for the national anthem and we got to
thank them for their service. And you know, the message
to the boys was, you know, you know, purpose is
one of our core values this year. And we talked about,
you know, we had the opportunity to play the game
(09:33):
of football, and you know it's with with just honoring
you know, those those vets in our military, but then
just getting to play in front of you know, the home.
It was just it was absolutely packed and I always
up to you know, top corners of the bleachers and

Major League Baseball tonight, the Detroit Tigers fell to the
Miami Marlins eight to two. You might be wondering Trek
Scoobel was on the on the hill. What happened? Well,
Tiger's ace Trek Scooble left after forty five pitches with
(12:16):
left tightness on his left side, and that is according
to the team. He will have imaging on Saturday to
todermine the severity of the injury. So let's pray for
good luck as we have the playoffs approaching. And also,
Hobby Bayaz left after a foul pitch struck near his
left eye in the second inning. So a couple uh
Tiger potential injuries tonight as we move forward. When we

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Meyer Scoreboard Show kicking it in the High School Scorbres
show brought to you by Meyer a great bench thanks
for their terrific sponsorship. We had a big game Northview
and Sparta squaring off tonight at the home of the Spartans,
and our Bo Hobson was there.
Speaker 8 (13:10):
Reporting from Sparta High School. This is Service Professor Game
reporter Bo Hobson with a Meyer High School scoreboard show
game summary. This report is presented by Service Professor Heating, Cooling, plumbing,
and Electrical. They'll fix it in a snap final from
Spartan Field this evening. Northview forty nine Sparta zero Wildcats
come out on top of this one in dominating fashion,
(13:32):
and things got off to kind of a messy start.
The teams were trading turnovers back and forth, and Sparta
got some momentum when Gavin Ring intercepted Northview's Braylan Jefferson
deep in Northview territory. So Sparta has a chance to score.
Warren Gebhart throws to the end zone, but it was
picked off by Northview's Colin Gesner and from that point on, guys,
it was quite literally all Northview. North Through breaks the
(13:54):
scoring drought with less than two minutes left in the
first quarter when Braylan Jefferson found Jack fan Pois for
a five yard touchdown. Two point conversion was good and
that got things started. Eight to nothing Northview.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Going to the.
Speaker 8 (14:08):
Second quarter, we got the second score of the game,
this time from Jalen Gant, and that is not the
last time you're gonna hear his name in this report,
because he had himself a day. That score made it
fifteen to nothing Northview. And then later in the second quarter,
it's Braylan Jefferson finding AJ Johnson with a beautiful pass
(14:29):
down the center of the field. Johnson caught it, didn't
have to slow down a step, ran it all the
way to the end zone, and it was a seventy
seven yard touchdown pass for Braylan Jefferson to AJ Johnson
in what was Tonight's Healthcare Associates Play of the game.
Later on in the second quarter, Jalen Gant again, his
second touchdown of the night, comes on a fifteen yard
(14:50):
touchdown run to make it twenty eight nothing Northview. And then,
just for good measure, how about another Jalen Gant score
late in the second quarter, right before the half. He
takes it f fifty five yards to the house. Thirty
five nothing at halftime in favor of Northview. They would
score twice more in the second half. Lucas Golmbieski gets
(15:11):
a turn to score forty two to nothing Northview. And
then Colin Gesner, the guy who intercepted the ball way
back in the first quarter that kind of started the
Northview run, he gets involved as well, forty nine to
nothing when he finds the end zone on a fifteen
yard run. And that was our final score. So with
the win here tonight, Northview improves to three to zero
(15:33):
on the season. Sparta drops to two and one after
losing their first game. Next week, Sparta will travel out
to Coopersville and Northview goes to Holland Christian once again.
Final from Sparta tonight, forty nine to nothing in favor
of Northview, and this Evening's Healthcare Associates Player of the game,
I'm gonna give to Jalen Gant. He had an explosive game.
(15:56):
It seemed like every time he touched the ball. Sparta
just couldn't bring him down. He ran all over the field.
One hundred and twenty three yards on nine carries is
what I had and three touchdowns for Jalen. Once again,
forty nine to nothing here in Sparta, Northview comes out
on top. And this report was presented by a service professor.
They'll fix it in a snap reporting from Sparta High School.
(16:19):
This is service Professor game reporter Bo Hobson.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Thanks Bo, big win for the Northview Wildcats perfect three
and zero in an overwhelming fashion here tonight on the
road against Sparta. Northview coach Ryan Oshnock joined us on
the liveline right now. Coach, congrats a big win on
on the.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Road like that.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
You've got to be pleased with your guys on both
sides of the ball.
Speaker 8 (16:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (16:40):
Absolutely, I think we played really we really try to
emphasize playing complimentary football and like having our special teams
feed into our defense, have our defense feed into our offense,
and so you know, we didn't really do that first
two games of the year, and so just try to
make that an emphasis for the game. Say hey man,
let's be opportunistic day. Could they give up and you know,
(17:00):
play some complimentary football. Started off a little bit rocky,
like like Bo was staying there with that with an interception,
we were able to bounce back and really we're able
to get the run game going around, which I think
really kind of settled our guys down to kind of
take advantage of some of the things we saw him.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
As you, Ryan tell me it's about Jalen Gan almost
fourteen yards of carry, but sounds like he was a
one man wrecking crew on offense.
Speaker 9 (17:22):
Yeah, I mean he's I mean he's been doing this
since his freshman year. I mean he's he's an unbelievable talent.
I think he only had nine carries, three touchdowns, one
hundred and twenty three yards whatever that was. But yeah,
I mean he's you know, he's small but mighty. I
mean he goes about five to seven, one hundred and
eighty pounds. He's fastest kid on our team, and he's
tough to bring down.
Speaker 10 (17:42):
I mean week one, we.
Speaker 9 (17:43):
Gave him twenty five carries. Week two, I think he
had twenty one carries. Uh and in this game, you
know he only needed nine to do that kind of damage.
I mean, he's our workhorse in the backfield, and we
were pleased to see him get over the central park.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Ryan Oshnock Northew, coach, joining us live in the live
line right now. Coach, you had a hard We went
over a fine West Catholic team to start the season.
Then you edged out a good Vicksburg team last week
twenty three to twenty one. Now the big win here
tonight on the road. Do you feel this team has
an identity yet?
Speaker 9 (18:10):
Ryan, Yeah, I think we're getting there, right. I mean,
I think every week you have an opportunity to try
to create that identity. It's really hard to you know,
create it in practice. But you know, Week one, I
mean would be to me a really really good West
Catholic team. I mean, they're they're kind of firing on
all cylinders right now. And then Week two Vicksburg, I mean,
we turned the ball over five times, still walked out
(18:33):
with the victory. So we're really resilient there. And we
felt like, you know, well, we still haven't played four
quality quarters at football in a row, and you know,
our you know, our offense and defense hadn't been complimenting
each other like we'd like. So it was good to
see them, you know, come together in this game to
play four quality quarters. And so, you know, I mean,
(18:53):
are we coming together? I think so. I think we're
still just trying to get a little bit better each day.
Better to stay than we were tomorrow than we were today.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Hey, and next week you start conference play, So best
of luck in the league. Ryan Oshnock Northew coach, thanks
for joining us. And we look forward to catching up
with you down the road.
Speaker 9 (19:08):
Hey, thanks great, thanks for having me on.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Ryan Oshnock winning coach Northew wins a big one. Our
Lake Shore Spotlight game was in the West Michigan Conference
in the Rivers Division as Heart and Shelby two neighborhood foes,
and that's a great rivalry. If you haven't been around
that area, you don't really understand how that rivalry has
gone back through generations Heart and Shelby, and our Scott
(19:32):
de Camp was there. He filed our Lake Shore Spotlight
Game Report.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Reporting from Shelby High School.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
This is Service Professor Game Reporter Scott DeCamp with a
Meyer High School scoreboard. Show summary. This report is presented
by Service Professor Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical. They'll fix
it a snap. Shelby russelled the blood, sweat and tears
jug away from Heart after the Pirates five years stranglehold
on the Traveling Trophy. Final score Shelby twenty eight Heart
eighteen an intense, hard hitting game. Shelby's defense in the
(19:59):
red zone and the two headed monster at quarterback with
Isaac Garcia and Jalen Henderson pushed the Tigers over the top.
Garcia rushed for the game's first touchdown on a four
yard keeper. In the second half, Henderson connected on the
seventy four yard touchdown pass to Trevor Weiss, and he
ran for a ten yard score to put the game
away late. Henderson, a junior, was a Healthcare Associates Player
(20:19):
of the game, finishing with seventy nine rushing yards and
going three for five passing for eighty five yards. Hearts
Kyle Grinder led all rushers with one hundred ninety four
yards and two touchdowns on thirty carries. As a team,
the Pirates out rushed the Tigers two twenty seven and
one seventy four, but the hosts were balanced with one
hundred and four passing yards as well. Defensively, Henderson led
Shelby with seven tackles for Hart, Abden Lopez, and Haylan
(20:41):
Booze notch eight stops apiece. The Healthcare Associates play of
the game was an eighty six yard kickoff return for
a score by Shelby's Elijah Deshiel with seven oh seven
left in the first half to answer a heart touchdown,
dashing down the home sideline. Next week, Shelby two and
one overall one in one in the West Mission Conference
River's Division Hostsvana Well Heart two and one and one

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Again.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
This is a service professor game reporter Scott DeCamp reporting
from Shelby High School or Shelby defeated Heart twenty eight
to eighteen to take back the blood, sweat and tears jug.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
All right, thanks Scott, speaking as service professor. In the
next segment or two, we're going to have our service

Or we had an eighty eight yard touch rush touching
rushing touchdown by kai Korn Cornstra of Grand Haven, and
believe it or not, that didn't make it. Rody Scheideman
had a seventy seven yard rushing touchdown for Jennison that
(22:42):
just barely missed out as well. The winner was Caledonia.
Lutsville got the big win tonight for thirty eight to six,
but Caledonia had a moment that was special. Colin Schultz,
the backup quarterback for Caledonia, connected with Aaron Collins on
a ninety six yard touchdown on third and long ninety
six yards. That might be the longest pass play for
(23:03):
a touchdown all season long in West Michigan. That's what
our staff came up with a snap decision, and that
play with Colin Schwartz and Aaron Collins is our service

to determine the severity of the injury, and also Hovey
Bias left the game after a fouled off pitch struck
him near the left eye, So we'll have more updates
on that if they come in tonight. If not, keep
on as the Tigers. They are hitting on the playoff push.
(25:54):
Can't lose trek. Now when we come back, we have
more coaches interviews as we head back to the Oka
over where Godwin Heights. They're the story as they defeated
Comstock Park tonight forty four to forty one to move
to two and one. Well, head coach Brandon Kimball when
we come back on nine to six won the game
in one oh seven.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
M us the moose.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
A little while ago, we heard coach Brent Sandy joint
You talk about the win, but we want some more
details on how that all played out. In the home
of the Eagles. Our Dan Hasty was there. He files
this report.
Speaker 11 (26:32):
Reporting from Hudsonville High School. This is Service Professor's Game
Reporter Dan Hasty with a Meyer High School scoreboard show
summary presented by Service Professor Heating, Cooling, plumbing, and Electrical.
They'll fix it in us snap. Now let's go ahead
and take a look at how this one went down
as the Hudsonville Eagles picked up their third win as
many tries. This year, they get a victory by the
(26:55):
final score of thirty eight to six over the Caledonia
Fighting Scotts. The story of this one was the phenomenal
play of Hudsonville quarterback Brady van Lake. Five for nine
in the air eighty yards, but on the ground he
ended up going for three touchdowns ten carries seventy yards,
and that was certainly the difference in this contest. Early on,
(27:18):
it was a fourteen to nothing lead after Van Lake's
first touchdown run, and then with five point thirty to
go in the first half, it was Conlin Schultz, the
backup quarterback for Caledonia, getting the start in place of
the injured Bryce Bacchus, who threw up a desperation heave
on third and long from Caledonia's own four yard line.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
And it was caught.
Speaker 11 (27:39):
Aaron Collins, the first teamer in the OK Red last season,
pulls it in and takes it to the house ninety
six yards for Caledonia. But that was the big and
really only big play that the Fighting Scotts would be
able to have in this one here tonight. They did
try one last play before the end of the first half.
(28:00):
I think they wish they rather had not because it
was instead ended up being a pick six. Colin Schultz
throws it and it was intercepted. It was Zaden Dykstra,
the Hudsonville corner, who took it back to the house
forty five yards and you could tell at that point
that it was Hudsonville's ballgame to lose. That being said,
(28:22):
our Healthcare Associates Play of the game, we'll give that one.
The Caledonia Well, they don't get the win, but they
get the play.
Speaker 10 (28:28):
Of the game.
Speaker 11 (28:28):
Anytime you get a ninety six yard touchdown pass. It
was a great play Colin Schultz to Aaron Collins who
takes it to the house for the big and the
sole big moment for the Scotts. Now, Caledonia sits at
two and one, Hudsonville, as we mentioned, now with a
three to zero record. Next week Caledonia is back home
to take on the Grandville Bulldogs. Meanwhile, Hudsonville returns home,
(28:51):
they get West Ottawa and our Healthcare Associates Player of
the game. Hard to go against Brady van Lake with
those three touchdown runs. Here tonight, reporting from Hudsonville High School.
This is service professor's game reporter Dan Hasty, Thank you Dan.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Some people listen to podcasts to be entertained, some to
learn things on a personal level. Now imagine a single
podcast that is entertaining, educational, and informative. Well, that podcast
is called Docs Who Lift. Two West Michigan doctors, Doctors
Carl and Spencer Dowdowski, former Division one athletes, have created
Docs Who Lift out of a passion for fighting health misinformation.
Topics include obesity, hormones, and other health topics with an
(29:29):
emphasis on fitness and nutrition. Check out Docs who Lift
on apples, Spotify, YouTube, and other popular apps. That's Docs
Docs who Lift. I had a lot of interesting games tonight,
perhaps the most entertaining game okay from the ok Silver
Conference tonight, Goden Heights and Comstock Apparel one on one
team scaring off at the home with the Panthers. God
and Heights prevailed forty four to forty one. Brandon Kimball,
(29:53):
the coach of the Godwen Heights Wolverines, joins us right now, Coach,
was it as wild as the score sounds?
Speaker 9 (29:58):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Man?
Speaker 10 (29:59):
I will so say stressful didn't score sounds, but it
was really a wild game. Man, we're excited. We came
out on another end.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
What again, you have a chance to look at the tape, Brandon,
but give us a couple of players that you know
without looking at the tape played well for the Wolverines.
Speaker 10 (30:14):
Yeah, man, I have to start with my court. Our
young quarterback, sophomore had a great game. He threw for
over three hundred, threw three touchdown passes, and ran for two.
A great kid, you know, a young kid on a
row in a game like that when it's on the line.
We had a minute in one seconds to go, and
then he goes and throws a dart to get us
down to the one yard line and then he runs
it in to fill the game. So martellis sports. Our
(30:35):
quarterback had a great game. Our receiver corner KJon Allen,
he ran up punt back and caught the game still
and pick. And then I got a shout out. Our
wide receiver Martiz Rafiel, he caught a bomb in the
first half, and then he's the one that took it
sixty seven yards to get us to the one to
be able to win the game.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Brandon, Let's go back to that sophomore quarterback Marcellus tell
Us that's what Marcella showed you early on, maybe this
summer or what attributes you saw in him that made
you think that's going to be the guy slinging it
around for me.
Speaker 10 (31:10):
We've been excited about him for a couple of years.
He's been a galling kid all the way since elementary,
even watching them when he's in the middle school. Last year,
as a freshman, he was up on varsity just a
little raw. Our quarterback had a tragic injury last year,
ruture the screen in the first game, and tell Us
took over, and he right at the ship and got
us some wins and took some lumps and got better.
(31:30):
And this whole off season he just won the job,
and we knew he was ready. He just wise beyond
his ears. He's a sophomore, but sometimes he does some
things that makes you thinking to see your man. So
the future is bright.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Brown, Well, coacher, you got the win here in this
non conference. You're at two to one on the year.
Now you get back where you got you stay in Okay,
silver play. You got the conference win. You go to
a very fine Hopkins program. Not easy to win anywhere
on the road, but you go to Hopkins you know
you're going to have to play well to have a
chance against Vikings.
Speaker 10 (32:01):
Hey, man, you got a ball man coach friends good,
he's gonna have his team ready. Roil coach. We're thankful,
we're excited after this role win. We get them at home.
I know our community is going to show up. I
know it's gonna be a great game. It's always a battle.
We had a battle last year. I know those boys
gonna come into place, and our boys are gonna be excited. Man.
So it's a lot of evenly matched teams in the Silver,
So you always got to have a good week of practice,
(32:22):
and you always got to know that that team and
the other sideline is coming to play. So we're excited
to have the Vikings coming up to Wyomings to come play.
I gotn Heismans.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
All right.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Congratulations Brandon Kimball Godwin coach. The Godwin pulls out a
forty four forty one winner, A compstack Park coach. We'll
catch up with you down the trail.
Speaker 10 (32:38):
Hey, I appreciate you, man, a great Wolverine, and congrats
again on the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Man, thank you, thank you very much. Brandon all Right,
big game in the Oka read tonight to pair of
one on one teams Rockford and grand Haven squaring off,
and Lucas cymbol was there.
Speaker 12 (32:52):
Reporting from grand Haven High School. This is Service Professor
Game Reporter Lucas symbol with a Meyer High School scoreboard.
Show summary. This report is presented by Service Professor Heating, Cooling, Plumbing,
and Electrical. They'll fix it in a snap here tonight.
In the ok red opener for both teams, it was
Rockford forty two, grand Haven twenty four, but the game
(33:12):
really wasn't that close, as grand Haven scored a couple
of late touchdowns to provide some window dressing. Rockford got
things going early on as they took the opening drive
eighty three yards on just three plays, with senior quarterback
Brandon Daniels finding his senior wide receiver Jack s Eichbauer
for a forty three yard touchdown pass for our Healthcare
Associates Play of the game just sixty five seconds into
(33:33):
the contest. Daniels wasn't done, as he threw scoring strikes
on the next three drives as well, hitting Bryce Herring
Gout with a twenty seven yard TV pass, hohen Holt
with a forty six yarder and Dylan Gross with a
forty eight yard bomb to make it twenty eight three. Rockford.
Daniels finished out the first half by breaking free up
the middle for a twelve yard touchdown run with just
under a minute left before halftime. Grand Haven got a
(33:56):
thirty seven yard field goal from Will Plumber and an
eighty eight yard touch stone sprint from kd Coornstra as
it was thirty five to ten Rams at the half.
Daniels went a perfect eight of eight for two hundred
and twenty four yards and the four TD passes in
the first half, as the Rams from the end zone
on all five of their first half possessions. It was
a very quick moving second half, with Hayden Peoples providing
(34:17):
Rockford's only points of behalf on an eight yard touchdown
Johnt late in the third quarter. Grand Haven found some
life in the fourth quarter as sophomore quarterback Reed Barry
threw his first touchdown pass on the varsity level when
he lofted a ball definitely into the hands of junior
Samir Kanda from forty two yards out, and Tanner Wolf
raced to the end zone for a thirty two yard
TD run with four to twenty one left in the game.
(34:39):
People's finished with the game with nine carries for seventy
eight yards and the one td for Rockford. Cornstra rushed
the ball eighteen times for one hundred and fifty seven
yards and the long touchdown run for grand Haven. Will
Barry finished ten of seventeen for one hundred seven yards
and one touchdown pass. Rockford uped its record at two
and one and will host a huge showdown with undefeated
(34:59):
East Up With next Friday night. Grand Haven fell to
one and two with the loss, and we'll look to
get back on track when they host Jennison next week.
This report was presented by Service Professor. They'll fix it
in a snap once again. Our final score here tonight
from grand Haven High School was Rockford forty two, grand
Haven twenty four, and our Healthcare Associates player of the
game was Rockford senior quarterback Brydon Daniels, who finished a
(35:23):
perfect eleven of eleven through the air for two hundred
and forty seven yards and four first half touchdown passes.
He also rushed six times for sixty three yards and
another touchdown on the ground. Reporting from grand Haven High School,
this is Service Professor game reporter Lucas Simbol.
Speaker 2 (35:39):

Speaker 7 (38:21):
Tomorrow, Muskegan will travel to Ohio to take on Garfield
Heights and Zealand East will host Elle Pena. We do
have one report tonight of our reporters that we have
not got to yet, so it was Forest Hills Northern
at Forest Hills Central.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Jeff John, Ourboro game reporter, was there.
Speaker 13 (38:37):
Reporting from Forest Hills Central. This is Michigan Sports Radio's
Jeff Doahn with the Meyer High School postgame report. Tonight,
the Huskies of Forest Hills Northern charged their way into
the rival stadium and beat Forest Hills Central forty two
to ten, and a surprisingly lopsided affair here tonight, the
Huskies offensive numbers simply eye popping tonight. They began their
(38:59):
charge on the very first drive of the game. Six
plays is all it took to be capped off by
a four yard touchdown run by senior running back Colton Sawyer,
who had easily his best game of the year and
perhaps his career tonight. Fair warning, you will hear his
name a lot in this report. The Rangers. They fought
back the next possession. They had a nine play drive,
arguably the best of the night for the Green and White. However,
(39:23):
after two goal line stands by Northern, the Rangers were
forced into a twenty nine yard field goal that made
it seven to three. After another five yard score by
Colton Sawyer, the Huskies had their first double digit lead
of the season. And that was on the first play
of the second quarter, and from there they never really
looked back. Their defense suffocated the Rangers, forcing it three
(39:44):
and out on the next possession. Then after an interception
by senior Eli wool Woolery, the next time the Husky
defense hit the field, it led to a late second
quarter drive seven straight run plays. Junior quarterback Owen Ostapol
ran in a the other score this season, and that
made it twenty one to three at the half. Coming
(40:05):
out of their coming out into the third quarter of
the Rangers simply couldn't get anything going on offense, three
straight three and out possessions, all leading to putts. And however,
on the other side of the ball, Northern continued to
dominate on the ground and the first score of the
second half was our Healthcare Associates play of the game.
On a run option, owen Ostapo decided to hand it
(40:25):
off to Colton Sawyer right at the last second. Sawyer
took it up the middle, was patient with his blockers
and found a scene to the left sideline and turned
on the burners. Now at the twenty yard line, he
decided to cut back inside to dodge two more tackles
and finish out a seventy seven yard touchdown run that
(40:45):
was Sawyer's third of the ball game. Ostopo himself followed
with a big play of his own on the next possession,
a fifty one yard touchdown run that led to a
running clock situation late in the third and after a
quick fourth quarter, your final was forty two to ten
after a touchdown by each team with their backups on
(41:06):
the field. When it was all said and done, the
Huskies amassed three hundred and forty two yards rushing in
this ballgame, all six touchdowns on the ground, four by
Colton Sawyer, two by Owen Ostapo. So you can imagine
our Healthcare Associates player of the game, the no brainer
of the year, Colton Sawyer two hundred and twenty two
(41:28):
yards rushing on nineteen carries. Not to mention he had
two sacks on the other side of the ball, all
to go along with those four touchdowns. So once again,
your final forty two to ten. With the win, Forest
Hills Northern goes one to two on the season, netting
their first victory. They will be playing Grand Rapids Union
at home next week Forest Hills Central Rangers. They fall
(41:51):
to one and two. After two straight losses, they're going
to be taking on Wyoming a week four, once again
reporting for Forest Hills Central High School this Michigan Sports
Radios Jeff.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
Dom, Thank you, Jeff.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
And speaking of the Forest Hields Northern Huskies, you can
join them along with Rick Burkey at the Fox Motors
pig Skin Party this upcoming Monday, September fifteenth at Spox
Subaru on twenty eighth Street again for the Fox Motors
Pigskin Party.
