Tyler (00:10):
"Hey there, my fur-tastic
friends! Welcome back to The
Monkey the Cat Podcast! I’mMonkey, your favorite talking
cat, and today’s episode is allabout one of the smartest ways
to learn (00:21):
by listening to
someone who’s already been
there.
Our lesson today?
Learning from others’experiences saves time.
Sometimes we want to figureeverything out on our own—and
that’s great! But guess what?
If someone else already made themistake, climbed the mountain,
or solved the puzzle… we canlearn from them and save
(00:41):
ourselves a LOT of trouble(andfur pulling).
And I learned this lessonduring… the Great Tree Climb
Challenge.""It all started whenTeddy, Brooklyn, and I decided
to race to the top of thebiggest tree in the backyard.
Brooklyn stretched.
‘I’m fast—I’ll win!’ Teddynodded.
‘I’m strong—I’ll win!’ And me?
(01:01):
I just wanted to not fall.
Olivff—our thoughtful, quietsister—watched from the picnic
blanket.
‘Be careful,’ she said.
‘That tree has loose barkhalfway up.’ But did we listen?
Nope.
We were too busy puffing ourchests and wagging our tails.
Brooklyn slipped on the bark andslid down.
(01:22):
Teddy climbed too fast andscraped his paw.
I froze midway up, stuck betweena wobbling branch and a very
confused squirrel.
From below, Olivff called,‘Youskipped the good grip route on
the left.
That’s the one I used lastweek!’""She showed us the safer
way.
Slower, yes.
But stronger.
And it worked.
(01:42):
We all reached thetop—scratched, tired, but
smiling.
That’s when I realized (01:46):
If we
had just listened to Olivff from
the start, we could’ve savedtime, energy, and a few bruises.
Since then, I’ve learned:🔹Askquestions when someone’s done
something before you.
🔹Listen to advice—even if youthink you already know.
🔹Learning from someone else’sjourney helps make your path
(02:07):
smoother." What We Learned Today🔹Wise cats—and kids—listen
before they leap.

(02:29):
about a challenge they’vefaced—and what they learned.
✅A friend.
✅A parent.
✅A teacher.
✅Or even your clever cat pal,Monkey! Because every story
holds a lesson—and every lessonsaves you time on your journey.
