Imagine a life where your moral compass isn't just a vague and cliche idea, but an operating force that shapes every decision you make. Join me, Eyon Johnson, as I kick off The Moral Compass Chronicles, a podcast inspired by divine guidance and my personal journey towards living a morally driven life. This introductory episode is your gateway into a world of thoughtful reflection on individual morality and personal development. I share the origins of this audio time capsule and discuss the power of having platforms that embrace diverse voices in today's society. You'll also get a look into the much-anticipated return of "Eyon's Unpopular Opinions" and exciting plans for potential guest features in future episodes.

Drawing from my background in mediation and conflict resolution, let's explore the subjective nature of morality and the personal beliefs that steer our lives. Through a blend of biblical teachings and the pursuit of goodness, I aim to offer insights that resonate with listeners who seek meaning and guidance. Whether you're looking for inspiration or simply a fresh perspective, The Moral Compass Chronicles promises to be your companion on the journey towards a morally enriched life.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
race and peace, world .
Grace and peace to one, to all,and welcome, welcome.
Oh my goodness, oh my god, I amso excited to be here with you,
to be doing this, welcome tothe very first rendition of the
moral compass chronicles.
And I'm your man, I'm your host, eon johnson many people know

(00:28):
me as eon j via instagram, twitter, facebook, um the
different platforms, tick, tockI.
I am.
I'm just grateful, I'm gratefulto be here.
I'm grateful to finally bedoing this.
This is an audio time capsuleand I am just a vessel.

(00:52):
I am a vessel that has beeninspired.
I am a son, I'm a brother.
I am now a son, I'm a brother,I am now a husband, and I have
so much to say.
I've got a lot to say, andpeople typically tell me I've

(01:20):
heard in the past.
I'll say that I can be longwinded, and isn't it just an
honor and a privilege to be ableto live in a world just like
this one, a society like the onewe are in now, where technology
has gotten to the place that ithas gotten to, has gotten to

(01:44):
the place that it has gotten to,and people of different walks
of life, different backgrounds, different race, ethnicity, uh
different, uh, types ofbusinesses and whatever the case
may be, we can all have anoutlet very much like this one

(02:05):
where we can come and just shareour thoughts.
You know, and I listen, man,I'm not here to really discuss
anybody else's thoughts, anybodyelse's opinions.
If you remember, um, I had andhave because I will be
continuing it.
Many people are familiar with asegment called Eyon's Unpopular

(02:29):
Opinions that will be making areturn here on the Moral Compass
Chronicles and was inspired bymany different confirmations
from the Lord personally andthrough his people.

(02:50):
I'm reminded that there is aneed in this earth for what God
has placed within each and everyone of us, and shout out to my
sister, cherie, you know who youare, if this ever reaches you
that that word inspired megreatly.

(03:11):
There is a need in this earth, there is a need in this world
for what God has placed In EonJohnson, in Eon Johnson, and I
am here to avail myself and tospeak what it is God has placed

(03:32):
within me.
There's going to be a range ofdifferent ideas and different
topics and different talkingpoints.
You may even see some differentguests show up and man, this is
this they say.
The world is, is your oysterand I really, I really feel that

(03:52):
way about what we're doing here, and it's an honor, it's a
privilege.
It's a privilege.
I, as I mentioned, I have a lotto say, but the moral compass
chronicles.
What is that?
What is that?
Where?
Where did that come from?
You may ask yourself at somepoint?

(04:20):
This is an audio time capsuleand it is centered around the
idea that there is, in fact, amorally correct way that we, as
a people, ought to govern ourlives.
I am very much, much aware ofthat fact and, listen, I have no

(04:53):
talking points right now.
This is, this is what they calla pilot right when I come here
and I explain who I am, what I'mabout and what this is.
I have no clue how long theseepisodes will be, these
different renditions, and as Iwill refer to them as chronicles
, right, um, but what I do knowis that this is a God-inspired

(05:19):
podcast and I am a Holy Ghostfilled young man.
I do look to the Lord to leadmy, my every step, and that is
my aim and my determinationevery single day.
Will every single topic be Biblebased?

(05:39):
No, you know, but I want you tounderstand that morality is
individual.
It is it's, it's individuallybased, and every single person
has their different ideas andideals, rather, and a different

(06:02):
set of morals that they livetheir lives by.
Now I, now, I am very much justlike you and I have a very
specific set of morals and aspecific view on life that I I
walk with day to day.

(06:22):
And there is a way, there is avery morally correct way that I
believe I am supposed to governmy life and I believe it is up
to us, it's up to all of us, tohave that same mentality.

(06:44):
Now, whatever those morals maybe, that is on you, that's on
you.
I'm not here to tell anybodywhat they have to do.
I mean, at the most, these aregoing to be my thoughts, my
opinions.
Some may be unpopular, some, you know, may be popular, but I

(07:08):
want to make it clear that I dohave a Bible here at all times
and it's right in front of me.
This is how I govern my lifeand it's a combination of the
word of God and, quite honestly, just being a good person.

(07:32):
I mean to be real, like you.
Don't have to believe thatJesus Christ is Lord of all To
be a good person, and that's aconversation for another day,

(07:55):
another day, but there is amorally correct way for people
to walk and for people to talkand for for us to treat each
other.
I mean, and that is really, that's really what I'm getting
at here.
This is the moral compasschronicles, man.
There are several people that Iwill be working with.
I have been in conversationwith some different people
already and I'm I'm so excited,man.
I'm really looking forward todiving into specific topics on

(08:20):
on a weekly basis.
I am looking to do this weekly.
I'll be honest, I don't have aschedule yet.
I don't have a list of guestsyet.
I don't have a list of topicsoutlined yet.
Can I tell you how I go aboutthis?
I pray, I pray, and if I, if Iget an idea, I pray.

(08:41):
If I feel a leading in aspecific direction, I pray.
That's that's just me.
That's me and, quite honestly, this podcast, this, this set of
chronicles, will not be foreverybody.
This conversation will not befor everybody, but for those of
you that it is, for I do praythat you receive something from

(09:04):
this.
I pray that you receivesomething from this.
I, I truly am going to givethis my all, and you know what
God has granted me with anopportunity here to quite
honestly combine this particularaspect of what I feel is my

(09:27):
business and my calling.
He has combined this with otheraspects of what I feel is my
calling, my purpose andbusinesses that I am starting,
and a long time ago and when Isay a long time I mean a few

(09:48):
years ago God he gave me theseideas and showed me how I was
going to combine them and howthey are intertwined.
I have some certifications formediation.
I am a certified mediator tosome degree.
I am continuing my education inmediation, conflict resolution,

(10:14):
excuse me and some differentthings.
I'm even considering going backto school for psychology
because I really I'm driven byhelping people and when you help
people in order to help people, rather, when you help people in
order to help people, rather, you've got to know how, how the
mind works.
To some degree, you've got toknow how people think you've.

(10:39):
Quite honestly, you have tohave your own set of experiences
in life and I have a lot ofthat man.
I could go on for days and thankGod for this opportunity.
I could literally go on fordays talking about my
experiences and I plan to.
I could literally go on and ontalking about the different

(11:02):
experiences I have had, thedifferent things I have been
through, the things my handshave touched, the things my eyes
have gazed, the things my earshave heard.
I could go on and on and I will.

(11:23):
I really intend to, but Iintend to be led by God every
step of the way and I'm honored.
I'm honored.
This is, this is a pleasure.
This is a breath of fresh air.
This is a long time coming, man, and I want to give a few shout

(11:44):
outs, you know to, to a fewdifferent people.
I don't really want to namedrop just yet, but you know who
you are, man.
Let me do it that way.
You know who you are and, quitehonestly, the people who have
helped me along this journey, these are people who are not
looking for their name to becalled.
That's real, bro.
That's real.

(12:05):
These are people who have seena gifting in me, who have pushed
me and motivated me, and notjust pushed me and motivated me,
but helped me, assisted mewhere where it was necessary for
me to get to this point, andI'm I'm truly grateful, man, I'm

(12:30):
truly grateful, I I.
Some of you have seen some ofthe videos that I may have
started posting on instagramwithin the last, the last um
within the last two years or so,going back to 2022, and um,
just me speaking about somedifferent things, and that was
really just the surface.
I was just really scratchingthe surface.

(12:50):
I I was starting to get into itand, you know, creating content
and letting my getting my voiceout there and my face out there
, and um, as we used to say, instocks rising, shout out stocks
rising man.
As we used to say, in StocksRising, shout out Stocks Rising
man.
As we used to say, putting ourface in the camera.

(13:13):
I started doing that andallowing my voice to be heard.
Using my voice, I'll say and, quite honestly, life got in the
way.
Y'all know how it is, man.
You guys know how it is.
We're all adults here.
I'm assuming, if you'relistening to this, you're an
adult in some way, shape or form.
You're a teenager and I don'tknow who needs to hear this.

(13:37):
But just because somebody's ateenager, that doesn't mean they
haven't gone through anything.
You know what I'm saying.
Just because somebody is not intheir 20s yet, not in their 30s
, 40s, 50s yet, that doesn'tmean they haven't gone through
some stuff, man.
That doesn't mean they haven'thad some experiences.
Some of them have experiencedstuff that we never have.

(13:58):
Some of our teenagers haveexperienced some things that we
have never had to and never willhave to, and, yes, vice versa.
But I'm highlighting them rightnow to to to say that we got to
stop minimizing what our teensgo through and our, our, our

(14:18):
youngsters, man, we got to stopdoing that.
But let me not, let me not gettoo ahead of myself.
I was talking about the factthat life, life, life was life
in bro, life was life and itstill is, and I don't even mean
that in a bad way, like I,legitimately I moved into my
first apartment back in um, 2021or 2022, whatever, whatever it

(14:39):
was Um or 2023.
I, I'm I don't know the datesare losing me right now Um or
2023, I I'm I don't know thedates are losing me right now,

(15:02):
but I was there for a year, moved out of that apartment into
what will be my first housewith my wife, um, and I kind of
got ahead of myself there.
I was supposed to like outlineeverything, to then mention hey
guys, I got married to like yo,I'm married, bro, I'm a husband
now, and anybody who's married, you know.
You know all of the steps thatlead up to that point, all of

(15:24):
the things that have to happenin order for you to become a
husband to my brother.
Shout out to my brothers.
Shout out to my dogs who aremarried man.
One of my brothers, fabian, just got met.
Shout out to Fabian Ralph, oneof my closest friends and
closest brothers just gotmarried Last month or October.

(15:46):
Of my closest friends andclosest brothers just got
married last month or October.
I can't really.
I got married in September, soI believe I'm not sure if it was
September or October orNovember for Fabian, but shout
out to you, bro, my dog just gotmarried.
You know I could go down thelist of my brothers that are
married too.
I won't, like said, I don'treally want to start name
dropping, but you guys know themarried people that.

(16:09):
Shout out to the ladies, mymarried sisters.
You guys know everything thatit takes to to get to the point
where you are now a husband andyou are now a wife.
I don't have any children yet,but I'm headed down that road,
I'm headed down that path.
You know what I'm saying.
I'm on that path, and so yo, alot has taken place, bro, and I

(16:36):
am just so excited, I'm soexcited to dive into life with
you all, to life with you all.
This is the moral compasschronicles.
Shout out to my wife forhelping me choose the name and
come up with the name.
I got a pretty tough graphicthumbnail that I cooked it up

(17:02):
with the help of my wife, withthe help and the insight of my
brother, my mom.
Shout out to my mom man, Imight dedicate a whole entire
episode, maybe several, to mymom, because I could really talk
for days about who this womanis.
You want to know where themoral compass chronicles comes
from.
It comes from her, comes fromit comes from her.

(17:31):
That that, yes, I like Imentioned the word of god is how
I govern my life.
It it's, it's the rule book Ifollow.
It's, it's how I I know whetheror not I'm living up to the
standard that has been set forme.
But it was really my mom thatshowed me how to be a good
person, and God rest my father'ssoul and my dad.

(17:54):
He had his struggles, but Ilearned a lot from him as well.
And man, oh man, I am just, I'mecstatic.
My heart is full right now.
My heart is full man, becauseeverything that I have been
through, everything, like I wasmentioning before, everything
I've seen, everything, I'veheard everything, I've done

(18:19):
everything that has happened tome it has led me to this point
To me.
It has led me to this point andI am in a place and I have been
in this specific place for afew years now where all I want
to do is help people.
I've been helping people mywhole life, walking people

(18:42):
through stuff, mediating betweenpeople, coaching people up, and
it's not because I have all mystuff together, but it's because
God has placed something withinme that I am finally learning
how to cultivate.
I'm finally getting to a placewhere I have allowed everything

(19:04):
that I have been through to moldme, as God continues to mold me
, as these things have broken me, as God has had to break me, as
he's had to do his work in meso that he can do his work
through me.
That's one of my prayers almostevery day Lord do a work in me

(19:28):
so you can do a work through me.
And that is where I am, that iswhere we are.
So stay tuned, man.
Stay tuned.
This is the Moral CompassChronicles, and there's a lot
that we've got to get to.
There's a lot that we've got toget to.
There's a lot that we're goingto get to.

(19:49):
It's my honor, it's myprivilege To be your host, to be
your brother.
I don't have I don't have anykids yet, but I always say I got
sons everywhere.
I had a young man tell me theother day that he looks at me
like a father figure because hedoesn't have one.

(20:10):
And that's, that's not a joke, that's real life, bro, and that
is an honor.
What that tells me is thatthere is a lot that God has
placed in me and there is a taskand a duty to uphold I have.

(20:31):
I have a duty to uphold as abrother, as a father figure, as
a husband and as a child of God.
So I love you guys, man.
I love you guys, the ones who,the ones who are gonna tap in
with me here.
