I am your man, I'm your host,I'm your tour guide, eon Johnson
.
You can find me everywhere.
You can find me on Instagram, twitter, tiktok.
Eon J.
That's E-Y-O-N, j-a-y-y two Y'sat the end Eon Johnson on
(00:23):
YouTube.
Eon Johnson on Facebook.
Another day, another chronicle.
I'm glad to be here.
I've been working on a lot ofdifferent things and so I just
want to dive right in here, man.
I want to dive right in.
Over the last few weeks, I'vebeen dealing with a lot of
different things, and when I saya lot of different things, when
(00:44):
I say a lot of different things, I'm talking about life.
Man, let's be honest, lifereally be life in.
I mean yo, I feel like if y'allcould give me an amen on that,
you would, because I'm, almost,I am, I am a hundred percent
sure that life has been life, and for just about every single
one of us now, whether whetherthat's a good thing, a bad thing
, you know, ups, downs, ebbs andflows.
(01:06):
We all deal with it, and that'sexactly what we are doing.
We are dealing with it and weare handling our business.
So you keep on doing that, Um,keep on tapping and keep on
tuning in with me.
I'm gonna do my best to youknow, add a little light to that
in whatever way that I can, Allright, and so, as we press on
(01:31):
here, I have been thinking abouta lot of different topics and a
lot of different stuff.
I got a lot of things that Iwant to talk about.
I know the last chronicle wehad here was about comparing and
envying and things of thatnature, and even over the last
few weeks, this one particularthought has been on my mind in
(01:55):
regards to, well, a fewdifferent things, but this one
in particular, um, in regards tobusiness owners and
entrepreneurs and contentcreators, bloggers, whatever it
is, whatever it is your niche isand whatever it is that you're
doing and the support level thatyou find that you have been
(02:20):
receiving or lack thereof.
You have been receiving or lackthereof.
I know it's a touchy subject tosome degree, and a lot of us
are doing a lot of differentthings.
I know I got friends who arestreamers as well.
Streaming is becoming a reallybig thing and we're doing a lot
of stuff.
We're doing a lot of stuff, and, if I can be fully transparent
(02:44):
and I will use myself as theexample and you feel free to
find yourself in that.
All right.
Now I have started this podcastand I have continued creating
the content and a lot of editinginvolved and a lot of different
(03:06):
aspects of it.
Right, the podcast.
And we've got Instagram andYouTube and TikTok these
different platforms and a lot ofus are using these different
platforms for a lot of differentthings.
If you're a business owner, now, you have the business itself,
(03:26):
right, you have your businessand you're promoting your
business, you're working on yourbusiness and you're also as far
as the promotion goes, you'reusing some of these platforms,
maybe, and you have your websiteand all of these different
things, now, the support thatyou feel you have been receiving
in these different avenues, with the business itself, with
(03:52):
the podcast.
If you're a podcaster, likemyself, with the Instagram
content and the YouTube blogsand videos and the TikTok and
the streaming the Twitch and allof these different things,
right, and the TikTok and thestreaming the Twitch and all of
these different things, right, people, you know, like I said,
entrepreneurs as well.
I'm thinking about clothinglines.
My wife has a event planningbusiness and all of these
(04:14):
different things.
We all have our thing right andyou feel like you have not been
getting the support that youthought you would get and you
haven't been getting the support, quite frankly, that you hoped
for, right.
(05:08):
I'm here to talk a little bitabout that today.
Man I, when I started thispodcast and this, the content
creation, I really had apreconceived idea in my mind
about where my support wouldcome from and what the support
would look like.
And I feel like oftentimes wedo that and we find ourselves
getting disappointed.
Sometimes I find myself right.
I've been disappointed or letdown because the support that I
thought I was going to begetting from this place or from
this person I was going to begetting from this place or from
this person that support has notbeen there, right.
And so I'm here to talk aboutthat and maybe even encourage
(05:33):
you, whoever you are, just alittle bit on that, because I
have come to recognize, bro, that that support oftentimes is
not going to come from where youthink it's going to come from.
If you're in a business, you owna business, or you're in sales
of some sort, you provide aservice of some sort.
(05:53):
I have family members, friends, who have businesses that
provide services as well.
I know for a fact that you canrelate to this also and you have
, like myself, probably felt attimes like you wanted support
from certain areas and certainpeople and that support, quite
(06:14):
honestly, has not been there theway you had hoped for.
I have come to understand andto realize that your support is
not going to come from where youthink it will.
I have seen that myself.
There are people who I thoughtwas going to support and now
(06:38):
people who I thought were goingto support this podcast and
support my content creation.
Support this podcast andsupport my content creation,
especially because of what Ibelieve it's rooted in truth and
morality.
Right, it's coming from a goodplace.
It is to help and to educate tosome degree, to steer in a good
(07:02):
direction.
The support has not come fromthose people and those places a
lot of times.
Now shout out to all my peoplewho have been supporting me, the
ones who I know and the oneswho I'm close to excuse me and
the ones who have beensupporting Like.
(07:24):
I truly appreciate that and, ifI can be honest, this podcast
has received much more supportand listens and followers and
subscribers and downloads than Iever thought.
We're encroaching on 500.
By the time this gets to you,we'll probably already be at 500
(07:44):
downloads or more, becausewe're very close right now and
that's with what?
Six episodes, or this being theseventh potentially.
That is a blessing.
I feel extremely blessed, andthat is in spite of the fact
that, yo, I swore I was going toget support and listens and
(08:05):
encouragement and the likes andthe this and that from certain
people in certain places.
I had that idea in my mind, yo,I know, if I start this thing,
that I more than likely evenspoke to certain people about
before I even started it.
There are some people who Ispoke to before I started this
(08:30):
thing, or when I was in thebeginning stages of the content
creation, before the podcasteven came to be, and those
people, quite honestly, are like, nowhere to be found, or at
least I feel like that.
Right, and I'm not talkingabout anybody in particular.
So, like, if you feel like I'mtalking about you, I'm probably
(08:50):
not, because I'm not evensingling out anybody in my mind
right now, but if the shoe fits, then hey, it is what it is,
that's for.
Honestly, though, I have found, man, that the support has truly
come from places and from peopleI did not see coming.
(09:15):
I was expecting the reposts andthe support to come from right
here in front of me, in front ofmy face, these people this one,
that one, this one, that oneand yes, of course my mom
supports and my wife supportsand my brothers and my sisters
support me and I love y'all.
Right, I expected the supportto come from these areas in my
(09:40):
life and when it didn't come inthis, other places that I
expected I found myselfdisappointed and discouraged,
even because it's like yo, if Ican't even reach my people, if I
can't even reach and this is atestimony and hopefully somebody
can relate to this I can't evenreach, and this is a testimony
(10:01):
and hopefully somebody canrelate to this if I can't even
reach my people, if I can't evenreach my village, how in the
world am I going to reach themasses?
And it's funny because that'sreally like the power of social
media.
This is the power of theinternet, like I noticed on one
of my videos, that one of myvideos on on youtube that was
(10:24):
derived, um from the podcastit's like a clip of the podcast
episode.
One of those videos has it'slike 70 of the viewers on the
video, which, which has two3,000 viewers.
70% are from non-followers andthen the 30% of the engagement
(10:46):
is from actual followers of mineand I really don't have that
many followers, I have like 1500followers but 30% of that
engagement came from the peoplethat actually follow me and 70%
came from God knows where.
That is my testimony.
(11:08):
I am mind blown when I see thesupport coming from other
countries.
For real it's.
I was looking for the support,I was looking for the support, I
was looking for the engagement,I was looking for the reposts
and um, the comments and thelikes from the people in my
(11:28):
village right here in front ofme, but instead the support is
coming from the north no punintended coming from canada.
Who in canada listening to me?
Who is watching me in Canada?
The support is coming from theEast Europe and beyond Africa.
(11:52):
The support is coming from theWest, all the way through and
past California.
Who is?
I know one person that'slistening to me in California.
Shout out to my sis.
But who?
Why is there 10 peoplelistening to me in California?
I don't know 10 people inCalifornia.
(12:12):
There's support coming from theSouth, as far as South America.
Where and how is that evenpossible?
That is a testament to yourdiligence.
That is going to be thetestimony of your consistency,
(12:33):
your steadfastness.
You're going to expect that thesupport and the reposts and all
of these different things isgoing to come from your village,
right here in front of you, thepeople you can see, you can
touch, you can relate to righthere.
But as you continue to besteadfast, as you continue to
(12:53):
work on your craft, as youcontinue to run your business,
as you continue to serve thepeople that your business serves
and your purpose serves, watchme now as you continue to serve
in your purpose and you walk inyour calling and you do the
things that you know that youare called to do.
Don't worry about where thesupport is going to come from.
(13:17):
Don't worry about where themonetization is going to come
from.
All right, because it more thanlikely will not come from the
people that you think it's goingto come from.
Odds are your support, yoursales are going to come from
people who find you on one ofthese platforms.
(13:40):
I've been focusing on Instagram.
I've been focusing on Instagram.
I've been focusing on thepodcast and Instagram.
Why?
Because that's where, forwhatever reason, that's where my
attention is.
I had somebody tell me recentlyyo, you should, just, why don't
you post on YouTube?
I said, well, yeah, I have aYouTube channel.
I kind of started posting.
They was like yo, no, no, no,no man, forget about the podcast
(14:08):
.
He's mad funny.
Forget about the podcast, bro.
Post all your videos thatyou're recording on YouTube,
everything.
You could chop it up and putthe shorts on there.
I started doing that, right, but I haven't been put in the
full videos on YouTube.
There is somebody out there whois looking for my content on
YouTube.
Specifically, there is somebodyon Facebook waiting for me to
post full time on Facebook.
(14:29):
There is somebody who yo, youcan't get them to open the
Instagram app.
I remember when TikTok shut down, people was up.
Y'all were in a uproroar.
There was a whole frenzy goingon and people were discouraged.
Oh god, I gotta go over toinstagram now.
As soon as tiktok came back, they haven't been on instagram
since.
There are people who arewaiting for you to post your
(14:52):
content, your business, what youdo, what you provide, your
content, your episodes of yourpodcast.
They are waiting to see that onTikTok.
Somebody is on Twitter overthere on Twitter, waiting for me
to start posting on Twitter.
So let that be an encouragementto you.
(15:17):
That's an encouragement to me,man, because I had no clue that
the support was going to becoming from these different
places and these differentpeople, and so I'm so grateful,
man, and I love you all.
I really appreciate all thesupport and, like if it's one
like bro, I appreciate it.
(15:39):
If it's one download I've had, this is the seventh episode are
going to be.
If it's one like bro, Iappreciate it.
If it's one download I've had, this is the seventh episode or
going to be.
If there's only one that youhave listened to, I appreciate
it.
That is enough for me.
I am, it is my job to try mybest to provide value right.
That is what our, that is ourjob to provide value in the way
(16:00):
that we know how I.
I was so caught up and this isgoing to be maybe another
episode down the line I'm in theprocess of shifting some things
and trying to make things moredigestible and and look better
and stuff like that.
I I got so caught up in theediting and this and that and
how difficult it can be and thecontent being perfect and as or
(16:25):
as perfect as I can get it, thatit forced me to stop creating
content.
I didn't realize I'm working sohard on it that I haven't been
putting anything out.
That's ridiculous.
That's counterproductive.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonnaget to that.
That's gonna be a whole episodeby itself, probably a whole
chronicle by itself.
(16:45):
So let me just keep focusing onthe support.
Your support is gonna come fromthe north.
It's gonna come from the east.
It's gonna come from the west.
It's gonna come from the south.
Yours, it's gonna come.
God is going to send yoursupport.
He is going to send yourengagement from places I don't
know if this is prophetic.
He's gonna send it from placesthat you did not expect it to
(17:08):
come from.
I am in them.
I am watching him do it.
He is in the middle of doingthat for me.
There are people supporting thispodcast that I do not know.
How is it that?
People who know me and know thevalue I provide these are the
people who call me on a phone.
They have my phone number andthey call me whenever they're in
(17:29):
a dilemma, right, and I'm amediator, and so you're calling
me to mediate.
You're calling me for advice.
You're calling me for advice, and here I am feeding the world,
or at least attempting to, andthese are the same people who
are not supporting what youthought they were going to
(17:52):
support.
Don't worry about that.
Do not worry about that.
Don't worry about that, becauseit's going to come.
It's going to come, it's goingto come, and it will not come
from where you think it.
I heard the song say it may notcome when I want it.
So it may not come when I wantit, it may not come where I
think it's going to be.
Coming from that support, thatmonetization.
(18:14):
A lot of people have a, youknow, like a um, uh, a little
tab on their their business pageor their um if you page or if
you're into coaching.
You have your Cash App and yourPayPal and your Zelle up there
and you're waiting for peoplewho you, you're expecting people
who know you to be the ones tosupport you, but then you're
(18:40):
blessing somebody across theworld that you don't even know.
You're helping change theirlife with what you do, with the
purpose that you serve, and thenyour monetary support comes to
your Cash App through thatperson, comes to your Zelle
through that person.
We got to keep going.
(19:02):
You got to be resilient.
This is, and this is, anencouragement to me.
This is a word for me.
This is a word for me.
I am no longer looking to orlooking for the support where I
think it's supposed to come fromI am.
I am no longer it's supposed tocome from.
(19:29):
I am no longer expecting myviewership and my likes and my
comments to come from the peopleI want it to come from.
If you wait for that support tocome from the people that know
you, you might be waitingforever.
Your business will die slowlyif you solely cater to the
people that know you.
That's a word, man.
(19:49):
That's a word your yo.
I don't know who I'm talking to.
I don't know who I'm talking to, but you provide a service that
may not be meant for me.
You, you provide a service thatmay not be meant for me.
It may not be meant for yourbrother and your sister and your
(20:10):
cousin.
You are called to speak onthings that may not relate to
somebody that you know, butthere are billions of people in
this world that are waiting tohear what you have to say.
There's another billion peoplewaiting to see the product that
(20:34):
you are going to create.
Then there's another millionpeople that are waiting to hear
you and see you drop that courseon that thing that you
specialize in.
There's another hundredthousand people you get where
I'm going with this.
There's another hundredthousand people somewhere that
(20:54):
are waiting to see your websiteget posted, because they've been
tracking you and following youfor a while and admiring what it
is you do for a while.
Following you for a while andadmiring what it is you do for a
while.
So yo, keep going.
It is our job to continue going, keep going, keep creating,
(21:16):
continue posting, continueediting, continue blogging,
continue twitching, continue inschool studying that thing that
you weren't yo.
I'm not sure will this be thething that does it.
Yo, you're on that path for areason continue studying,
(21:39):
graduate, get that degree inthat specific field, because
that is a niche that you aregonna create, or a niche,
however you say it.
There is a particular set ofpeople that you are designed to
lead.
There is a need for who you areand what you provide.
(22:02):
There is a need for that inthis earth.
You will not satisfy theappetites of everybody.
You never will.
We never will.
I will never satisfy theappetite of every single person
that this video reaches.
You may not be my targetaudience.
I may have thought it was youat one point, but it is okay
(22:35):
that my content is not for you.
It is okay that your content isnot for me.
It is okay that your servicemay not serve your brother or
your sister, but there arepeople out there that are
waiting for you.
There are people that are goingto find you, but you got to
(22:56):
keep going in order for that tohappen.
You got to keep going in orderfor that to happen.
You got to stay on that path inorder for that to happen.
You got to stay on that path inorder for that to happen.
You got to remain resilient andsteadfast and unmovable in the
(23:19):
things that you know you arecalled to do in order for that
to happen.
So press on and keep going, because there is a need for it.
There is a need for it, thereis a need for it, and there are
many people that you do not know.
They are going to be the onesthat take your business to the
next level.
(23:40):
That community that you are setup in that may not look like
the community that you have comefrom, the people in that area
are going to be the ones thattake your business to the next
level.
The people that do not looklike you, the people that did
(24:02):
not grow up with you look likeyou.
The people that did not grow upwith you, those are going to be
the people that buy your course.
Those are going to be your nextclients.
Those are going to be your nextcustomers.
(24:23):
So keep on going, man.
Keep on going For whatever it'sworth and whatever it means to
you.
I believe in you, and ifthere's anything I can do to
help, let me know.
Let me know.
Hey, this is the moral compasschronicles.
Another day, another chronicle.
(24:44):
It's been a real busy, busyFebruary.
It's been a real tough February, but it's been a blessed one as
well.
Message and apply it to yourlife.
Apply it to your life If itfits.
(25:06):
If it fits you, then it's foryou.
If it fits you, then it's foryou.
Much love Until next time.
