Speaker 2 (08:07):
I'm known as the biggity bomb.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
You know, and we're all hosts here at the
Bakersfield Underground the bugpodcast and stuff so the bug
podcast we talked about itvaguely when we first started
talking and about how you guysgot started and it was more of a
.
You were on the road, you wereon the road and you had stories
that you thought, hey, you knowwhat this shit would be

(08:29):
hilarious to some other people.
Oh yeah, so you wanted to bringthat out.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
What I was able to tell.
You know the stories that I wasable to.
You know what I mean.
I mean, in our show we talkabout anything, right, and it's
uncensored.
So, yeah, I do get into thosedetails of what I see around me
and everything.
Because you know, um, when wefirst had the idea of the bug
right, it was a shout out to sr1it was him and I were on the

(08:57):
road with el tiempo or ourbroski's el tiempo, and stuff,
and we were just on the roadconstantly.
You know what I mean.
And we will be having theseconversations, having drinks,
just like what we're doing rightnow, and stuff.
And we were just on the roadconstantly.
You know what I mean.
And we will be having theseconversations, having drinks,
just like what we're doing rightnow, and stuff.
And we just ran into situationson the road meeting different
bands you know, what I mean.
They got their own stories andstuff and just watching what is
around me and stuff, it was like.

(09:18):
It was like a cartoon bro, youknow what I mean.
And I wanted to like I peopleshould, I think people will be
entertained by these kind ofstories and stuff, you know what
I mean.
And it just became this ideawhat can we call it?
Right, what can we call it, youknow?
And once again SR1 was like hey, man, I've had this idea about

(09:39):
the bug.
I said, the bug, what does thatmean?
Right, he's like BakersfieldUnderground.
I said, oh shit, that shitsounds dope.
You know what I mean so that'show it all came about, man.
And then it just became thismonster, now that it's just raw,
uncensored now.
Now we're going on video nowyou know what I mean.
But that was the basis, how itall got started.

(10:00):
It started with two people, youknow what I mean.
And and yeah, big shout out tosr1, the whole tiempo crew,
because when I first came withthe idea.
Hey man, like I'm a talker, asyou can see, we were talking
before you even hit record, youknow.
So I always bring that energy, you know what I mean.
And and they were like I hadthe guys from il tiempo.
You know what I mean.
They, they supported me everystep of the way.

(10:22):
They, since day one, they werelike, hey, man, we like where
you're coming from, because, remember, I shot their videos.
You know, I hung out with themconstantly, man and um, they
were like hey, man, whatever youwant to do, we'll back you up.
They even even the intro to oursong is an unreleased il tiempo
track.
Okay, you know what I mean.
So, man, big shout out.
Mike z scott, dustin sr1.

(10:43):
You know what I mean.
Because they, they support that.
So I'm always rocking theirgear, man, because then the
banditos are always with me andstuff.
You know what I mean.
How are they doing nowadays,man?
They're you know what.
Once we get off air, I'm gonnashow you some unreleased stuff,
okay because they're in the labright now, man people been
asking, and it takes time towrite music the way that they do
.
You know what I mean.
So right now they're in the lab.
Right now there's a couple oftracks that have been recorded

(11:06):
and stuff and I'm like, fuck, Icannot wait for the world to
listen to this man.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
They've been doing good what's your story on the,
the underground portion of bugright bakersfield underground
underground?
What does that mean to you, um,and what makes something
underground?
Uh great question, greatquestion.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Underground, you know what.
So when I moved out here toBakersfield right, I've been
here for going on 11 years, right so I came from LA San
Fernando area and stuff, where Iused to always listen to all
kinds of music, right, but theartists that I like you never
hear them on radio yeah you knowwhat I mean.

(11:46):
I'm like wait, when can I getthe backstory, etc.
I like to man, I've always been.
I like to break down albums, lyrics, all that.
I've always been like that, youknow.
So, moving here to baker'sfield, um, traveling with
otiempo, once again, I met a lotof artists out here and I'm
like man, how come I never hearthem?
They have interesting stories,man.
Like you know, all these, allthese artists, the majority of

(12:07):
them, have fucked up you know, that's where the best music come
from pain to play.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
Yeah, hey, man, me too.
You know what?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
I'll throw myself out there but, um, I never heard
them on radio.
I said, hey, have you guys everdone any interviews?
Nah, they won't give me thetime or day because maybe, um,
their stories are are maybe tootragic for radio you know what I
mean?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
they don't sell.
They're not me, they're not forthe media, for them, yeah, so
I'm like man.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
No, fuck that dude like me, speaking to all these
artists, I'm like man.
Come, let me open a platform tobring everybody in here, the
people that the radio stationswon't play, sure, right?
So, without knocking anybody onthe radio stations, I I've been
there before.
I've been.
I knock them, brother, do it.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
All right, so we're going to go there, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
But no, no, no, in all honesty, I've had the
privilege of shooting musicvideos out here and going to the
radio stations out here, and soI, I, I try to, I try to to
open.
Maybe you could say so that wecan start working together and
stuff, putting my show out thereand stuff, but nobody wanted to
work with us.

(13:11):
So I get it now.
I get why other artists theydon't get the opportunity.
But with me it's like not onlydo they get the opportunity in
our show, but I listen to theirmusic.
All right, you know what I meanat our show, but I listen to
their music.
All right, you know what I mean.
So there's nothing like anartist coming to our show and I
tell them hey, on this track ofthis album you say this.

(13:32):
And they're like oh shit, yeah, like you do listen to it, yeah,
you listen, You're not youdidn't just say hey, right now
we're going to play.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
You know, weatherman Cadillac.
Hey, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Weatherman.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Cadillac it reminds me of White man Can Jump.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yeah, woody Harrelson's talking to Wesley
Snipes.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
He's like you hear it .
Are you listening to it?
Which one do you do?
Do you hear it or are youlistening to it?
Yeah, yeah, he's like I hear it, you don't hear Jimmy.
You can't hear Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
There you go of respect the time and the effort
for every artist that they put, because it's time and money that
goes into this, and these arelike strong emotions too.
You don't have to go go intothese tracks so for somebody to
pay to give you the time and theday to listen to your one track
about maybe something personalthat you went through back in
the day.

(14:20):
10 years, five years later, he'sbringing these lyrics, yeah so
you know, I think that's whereour show started growing.
It was word of mouth, you knowwhat I mean, because people
started saying, hey, man, thisguy listens to our songs.
He'll give me no time limit inbringing us in, he'll listen to
the whole catalog.
I don't just listen to theirnew album, I go back, I dig deep

(14:42):
into SoundCloud.
You know what I mean mean, because a lot of artists start
off at soundcloud and stuff.
So there's tracks that that I,that they don't even know I've
listened to, and because we have, we have contacts now.
So I'm like, hey, have you everworked with it?
Oh yeah, I got this track thatnever made it to air.
I'm like, well, send it to meso and then I will bring that up
during the interview.

(15:02):
They're like oh shit, how thefuck do you know about this
track?
Yeah, you know what I mean.
I thought it was buriedsomewhere, but now you know we
give it new life.
You know what I mean.
So that that's how the showstarted.
Um, but the question wasunderground.
What do I consider underground?
There's a lot of artists outhere.
There's a lot of talentedartists out here.
Man, give me three.
Uh, one of them that youmentioned was stephanie soul was
one of them.

(15:22):
Another one, marlon Mackie dude.
He has some spectacular musicout there.
I recently started working withLaddie Patterson, dude, and she
has an album that's coming out.
That is fucking dope dude,really.
We just recently.
And a more known artist is MikeDilla from Death Row Records.
We just interviewed him andstuff.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
And the story and advice that he had for all the
up-and-comers as well.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
Uh one my favorite rapper, locus luciano.
You know, he just has, he justhas an album that just released.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
You know, I got a crazy story he's an animated
character man I like.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
I like his mannerisms and everything, so fucking
talented.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
He just has a new album out, you know.
They just released yesterday ortoday or something like that.
I can't wait for him to come inand we could break that down
yeah but um, there's so muchtalent out here, man, you know,
like, there's a rock band thatdisassociates that were out here
, you know what I mean.
They kick ass.
There's fractures, one of mylike, they're like goth metal,
you know what I mean.
They're from england empire, all right, you know we've
interviewed them and stuff, andum, there's just so many people

(16:24):
out there you know what I mean, not just here at bakersfield but
everywhere.
And once again, like they, theydon't get too much play on the
radio and stuff.
You know what I mean.
But they come to our show andonce again we break down their
music, lyrics and stuff.
You know we ask them all thequestions and stuff that they
can't really talk about on radio.
Sure, once again, with all duerespect, but fuck it right it
right, it is what it is.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
We're fucking unfiltered here.
Yeah, you come to our platform.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
You got no time limit .
We could talk about whateverthe fuck you want.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yep, absolutely, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
And I think that that's what I consider
underground man.
Give an opportunity to peoplethat don't have that opportunity
.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
Open some new doors.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
And also give them a safe place to be who they are
and express, know what theyreally feel a judgment-free zone
, somebody that appreciates theart and the struggle and
artistry and the things that gobehind the scenes that a lot of
people don't see and realize.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
Yeah, yeah.
So that's how you canunderstand the artist, what he's
going through and what he'sunderstanding, what he, what he
or she doing what is, what doyou feel like?

Speaker 1 (17:21):
is, uh, the threshold for underground?
Where is the threshold forunderground?
Where is the threshold to you,in your opinion, the weatherman?

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Threshold.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
So when do you become not underground?
As soon as you sign to a labelor as soon as you get a hit on
the radio, when are you notunderground anymore?

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Basically.
That's when it is Basically.
When you sign with a label, alright, and when you get that
hit song, when the label pickyou up yeah so that's when you
ain't.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I mean that could be one right there.
You know what I mean, causenowadays, like I mean, the music
industry has changed it haschanged a lot within the last
couple of years and stuff.
You know what I mean wherepeople are recording from their
own home now.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
You know what I mean.
So what is considered a majorlabel now?
Exactly Like a distributor orsomething like that, or like
where are we at now?

Speaker 4 (18:08):
right, because Everybody right now getting
distribution deals.
They're not signing thecontracts no more.
All right, they wantdistribution deals smarter
business wise.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, all right yeah, you know what I mean.
So we we've had artists come inthat have, uh, signed record
deals and stuff, but they gotscrewed over because, x, you
know, abc, right, but um, andthen they started doing it from
their house and they got arecord, you know, they invested
a little bit of money in theirequipment and stuff and boom,
they just started selling rightthen.
And there you know what I mean.
So, um, yeah, that's a goodquestion, but what do you

(18:40):
consider?
Like, at what point are youconsidered mainstream?
Do you want to call it?

Speaker 1 (18:45):
So for me in particular, like you said, some
of your favorite artists arequote unquote, underground right
.
They don't get played on theradio.
One of my favorite groups ofall time is the Roots.
Yeah, dude.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Yeah, the Roots.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
And who I think is one of the greatest lyricists or
rappers of all time, is BlackThought.
Bam, there you go, yeah, butbut who knows black thought
exactly?
You can't go around bakersfieldsaying, hey, I'm listening to
black thought like you'relistening to 50 cent or ice cube
, yeah they don't know who blackthought is.
Yeah, you know, lupe fiascothat's another one, lyricist
right there.
Yeah, all of these guys, uh,pharaoh munch damn, there you go

(19:18):
yeah there's so many of them.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, there's a lot of them, but you know, I just
because it's a different, Iguess they're coming at it.
I'm sorry.
I think the way the music isright now is more like um pop
yeah, it is drake.
Yeah, like drake kendrick.
He says nothing in his songs, but the chorus is probably
popping right, yeah, yeah.
So yeah, like like lyrics, likelike a true lyricist.

(19:42):
Yeah, nobody, they don't getthe, they don't get to shine
like I feel they deserveSomebody that has something to
say.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
While back, I remember a guy named After oh
yeah, big shout out.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
He's a broski of the bug.
After yeah, tell me about Afterman, after he is so talented,
battle rapper spits right fromthe head Right off the top of
the dome Right.
So I'm going to tell you a storyabout after.
Okay, go.
So we've had him on the showbefore, right, and after was one
of those.
He was one of the first peoplethat supported our show.
He came on the show.
We were nobody, we wererecording in the backyard with

(20:14):
one microphone.
We're sharing the microphoneafter, say, hey, man, I got you
guys, so I got to spend sometime several times, uh, with
after.
But there was this one time, right, he was at my pad, right,
and we're just chilling rightthere.
We're already done recordingthis off the air and him and I
was just.
Everybody was left because theywere drunk or high one of the
two, but him and I were the onlysurvivors, right?
You know what I mean.
So we're, we're kicking it, bro, we're just chilling right

(20:34):
there, you know.
And and I asked him hey, hey, after, like, how does your mind
work when it comes down to thisbattle rapping, because not
everybody can do it.
No, like, where does your mindgo?
Right, because he can look atyou and he would just start
spinning about your shoes, yourjacket, your tattoos.
You know what I mean?
You're bald, whatever the fuck.
Right, yeah, and he broke itdown to me, bro.

(20:54):
Now he gave me some of that onthe interview that I did with
him, right, yeah, but it wasn'tlike one-on-one.
Give you everything, all thedeep info and I'm like dude,
like my mind, cannot comprehendthat.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
It doesn't think that quick.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah, it's a process right there.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
But it's like he's such a fucking cool guy too you
know what I mean and hanging outwith him and everything and
getting to know him after alittle bit better and stuff.
It was like, fuck, dude, youcan kind of see where he pulls
all right from life where hegets from.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah, yeah, man, but it would.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
It would take, it would take for you to sit down
with him and really have himopen up to you to really you
know what I mean.
Like but, yeah, such a talentman shout out after man broski
from the bug.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Yeah, let's see um.
Tell me about the skits,brother.
Tell me about the skits thatyou guys got going.
I want to know about the skitsman, so you know who's writing
them.
Where is the, the creativeprocess coming from, where is
the inspiration coming from, andhow are you guys throwing that
together?

Speaker 2 (21:56):
so do you want to answer that?
Do you want me to go for it andyou just elaborate?
Okay, all right so so the skitstarted with.
On the show on the bug, youhear my voice all the time.
I don't have a radio voice,broski like I don't, you know
what I mean, like I just talk, you know, and he does, he's
being modest, thank you guys.

(22:17):
But no, like I feel like I havethe weakest fucking voice, you
know what mean.
So you hear my voice all thetime, right, all the time.
So I said, hey, man, I grew uplistening to radio since I was
little, right, it's a long story, but I didn't have my parents
around, I just had radio.
So I would listen to um, youknow big boy in the morning and
stuff.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
Cause, you know.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I valley and stuff.
Um, back back then it was kearth 101.
You had good radio.
Yeah, we had some really goodradio and stuff.
You know what I mean.
So a fence to beggarsville, Idon't give a fuck.
They had good radio down, yeah.
Yeah, it was different.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
But hopefully you know we could change things
around.
It's never too late.
So, um, I enjoyed little skitshere and there.
You know what I mean, like thephone tabs from big boys
neighborhood.
You know what I mean.
Like little skits like that, that kind of give you a break
from listening to my voice.
You know what I mean.
So when cadillac came in, Isaid, hey, man, I could use you
like I can.
I can write for you and createthis character, right?

(23:13):
So the weatherman cadillac skitstarted happening.
Now the weatherman cadillactakes place back in the 60s and
70s, all right, so back when itwas man.
I wish I was born during thattime because it was so free.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
So the Weatherman skids Cadillac and I, we
actually write the skids.
We get together all week and webrainstorm and we start just
knocking it out and breaking itdown and just really getting
getting trimming the fat out oflike the whole the whole writing
to the point, yeah and makingit funny and stuff.

(23:50):
You know what I mean.
So it took us a while to get it, but it was just him and I
having fun in the beginning andit became a storyline and then
just people started just just uh, picking up on it.
Now, people would listen to theshow just to listen to the
Weatherman Cadillac skits youknow what I mean.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
So I feel like it's some Anchorman shit man.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
You know what I mean yeah, yeah, you can put it like
that.
I mean it's just like we justcome together and just Mainly,
it'd be me out coming here.
Hey, what you think about if Isay this right now.
Say this no, mainly it'd be meout calling him.
Hey, what you think about if Isay this right now.
Say this no, that ain't right, that ain't right.
Come back again, come backagain.

(24:29):
How about this?
Then he said no, that ain'tright.
I said all right, all right, that's pretty nice.
He said yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
He said who the fuck is this?
Why you tearing my shit apart?
Now I'm just looking at it andI'm just dang.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
You, hurt my damn feelings, but I can't tell him.
So I'm like, okay, all right, fuck it, I'm going to suck this
shit up here.
So, man, so one thing, we justcame together and it's like we
went from sentence to sentenceand this thing came together,
okay, and this thing it camegood.
I thought it was going to turnout bad.

(25:04):
Alright, I did.
I thought it was going to turnout bad, but he can't make it to
the stage.
It surprised you?

Speaker 2 (25:09):
yeah, it surprised me .
Look, man, I'm notorious forbeing an asshole to work with.
Yeah, I'll be the first man Iadmit to it.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
I admit to it, bro.
But yeah, you know what I meanI am.
You'll catch off guard, yeah.
But because?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
because once again, I believe in our product and what
we are capable.
I believe that I have a teamright here that we haven't been
able to unlock their fullcapacity yet, but we're getting
there yeah, you know what I mean.
So man cadillac is the nicestfucking guy because he brings me
maybe 10 drafts of one skit andI turn all of them down.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
So, and then, and tell them about the recording
sessions, because you know howlong do we last for a two, three
, five-minute skit?
How long do we last About twohours?
Yeah, Two and a half.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
I have them say the same line 20 times, like you're
in the recording studio and he'strying to hit a Mariah Carey
E-note way up high.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
I'm putting it like this.
Put it like this, put it likethis.
He's trying to get me hit aWhitney Houston note.
Damn right, I can't hit thatnote, but he's going to make me
try.
But you get it, but I get itthough, but you get it.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
You get the direction , you know the direction.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, again it's a long process.
People don't understand howlong it takes to do a
five-minute skit.
Five minutes is a long time fortwo people to be talking, right
?
Because on that skit theWeatherman skit is the
Weatherman Cadillac and ChipSpinnegan, which is his partner
his co-anchor right.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah, and who is?

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Skip, it's unknown, it's unknown.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Oh, so I got the good question.
Yeah, I cannot reveal thatidentity.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Right now we're going to protect Chip, but you know,
yeah, it does take a long time.
The Weatherman skit is one ofthem, and the other skit that we
had was PG&E MOB.
Oh man, now I'm pretty sure youcan relate to that.
You're looking at me alreadylike, no, you ain't going there,
fuck PG&E, pg&e, their bills wegot solar, baby, yeah, okay.

(27:24):
But before you had solar PG&E e,they robbed the fuck out of
people here.
Man, yeah, like so I said, man,I'm tired of it, I'm tired to
see my bill this fucking high.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
I live by myself.
You know I'm hardly ever homeand I'm not home.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
I'm hardly ever home, you know I only have my fish
tank, you know on, you know.
So yeah, I like these goddamncandles.
Yeah, I know I went candlesdude so I wanted to do something
that where I can hit them right, where I can hit them without
making a big deal right.
So we did this skitP-G-N-E-M-O-B, because they're

(27:53):
the mob, they rob they are yeah.
So I have somebody Shout out toIceberg.
He plays the PG&Erepresentative.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
And he has like a mafia voice.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
You know what I mean he put the cotton balls in and
oh, he does all that, bro, likeiceberg is a comedian, so he's,
uh, that's what he does.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, so I'm, I'm the customerthat gets fed up, and you get to
hear me just go all out youknow what?
I mean.
So it's one of those fun skidsthat people can relate to, until
I ran into somebody that worksfor pg and they're not too happy
with you, my uncle works forhim, but okay, he paints

(28:27):
everything blue.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
That's all he does, okay.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
So so there you go, no but it was funny because the
person that does work for pg ande.
They're like hey, I heard thatpg and e skit.
I said all right, cool man, I'mgonna.
How do you feel about that?
He's like you know, I work forthat company, right.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
I said okay.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
He's like good shit.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
You're like.
You don't know which way he'sgoing to go yeah you know, you
know I work for them right.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
I'll fuck you up, but you know we have these fun
skits and stuff like that thathave taken off and stuff, and
eventually I do want to turnthose into like cartoons and
stuff where I could upload, maybe like on Instagram or
Facebook or something like that, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
What is you guys' typical episode format look like
?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Oh, you want me to give you the secret?
Huh.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
I need the secret sauce.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
baby, I'll give you the secret sauce right now.
You know what I mean.
Our show pretty much is brokendown into what is it?
Three sections, right?
The first half is dedicatedmore towards us.
You know what I mean Getting toknow us, whatever we have to
say.
We give the weekly weird news,so I give out the crazy news
that I hear online and shit.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
And it's always in Florida.
Yeah, yeah, so you know already.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
A lot of the news comes from Florida and stuff.
But we do that.
I give all the announcementsbecause I do have artists that
send me their schedule andthey're like, hey, can you
announce that I'm going to beover here at jared's pizza or
I'm going to be.
You know, like, I noticed thatyou're going to have a party
here, not in a couple of weeks, right, yeah, you know what is
the party well, this saturdayI'll be at off the rails, it's
uh island.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
To the streets it's just going to be uh island vibes
.
Oh, reggae, reggaeton, afrobeats, nice, hey, off the rails.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Big shout out to them .
They're doing big things overthere, yeah.
Becca and her husband overthere are doing great things
over there.
Very nice people too.
Man Very generous.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
They remind me of you guys on the sense that they
allow people to come in thatmight not have the stage of the
Fox Theater and some of theseother places.
It's the same idea that I getfrom them, that I get with you
guys as the bar.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah, yeah, the book.
Yeah, yeah, that's great people.
Like I said, we actuallyrecorded there.
Uh, not too long ago for thetoy drive, we took the show.
They're alive oh nice, theygave us the opportunity to say
do whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
I said all right, you know, did you guys?
You guys chill back at thecouches.
Yeah, that's where we were at.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
We interviewed everybody that was there
performing and stuff.
You know what I mean.
So, yeah, we did.
We, we've done a lot.
You know what I mean.
So I forgot the originalquestion and stuff of.
Uh, what you asked is what wasthe question again your, your,
your outline.
Oh, the outline, yeah, yeah uh,the first half is dedicated to,
uh, whatever we have going onand also artists that that, um,
that, give me their schedule.

(30:53):
You know I go ahead, I givethem a plug and stuff and I
dedicate some time to oursponsors too, are the second
half of the show is dedicated tothe artist.
Whoever's coming in our guestokay and uh, in between, uh, the
first half and the second half,I give commercial time for our
sponsors.
Or, um, like we have lottieproduction, shout out tae young,
you know he has a lottieproduction.
Is a new company out here thatwe can go record, you know,

(31:15):
music, uh podcast.
So, um, he sent me an episode,he sent me a commercial, an
audio commercial.
He said if I would play, I saidsure, I'll play it on every
single episode and stuff.
So you know that would they canget some customers out there
too.
On the second half, when theguest comes in the way that I
don't like to call theminterviews, I like to call them
just kicking back, just likewe're doing right now?
yeah, yeah, session, we'rechilling, yeah, just getting to

(31:37):
know each other depending on,because we we don't just do
music, we do, uh, businesspeople as well.
But if I have a music artist,we get their story.
First I get their story andthen I break down, I go through
the whole catalog.
So all week I have MC et ceteraright or DJ et cetera right On
my headphones.
All week I write down theirlyrics, whatever song really

(31:59):
does have a story.
Then the second half of that, the port of that episode I'm
sorry of that interview, goestowards like um, talking about
their music and stuff all right, you know they plug away, they
got their stories and etc.
Because you know, have you everheard of a?
I'm pretty sure there's a songthat you heard and you're, like
man, I wonder where this dude orthis girl was going through

(32:20):
during the song oh yeah, isnyeah.
Isn't it cool to get the actualstory.
That's a real story.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Yeah, dude, and sometimes it has nothing nowhere
near what you thought was goingon, You're like oh man, I was
taken into a dark ass place.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean.
So we've had the pleasure ofhaving lots of artists, you know
, come in and once again, right, you know.
So I write their lyrics down, Iread it back to them.
They're like, oh shit, thisfucker actually read it yeah,

(32:53):
yeah, so we.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
So when you said at two minutes and 15 seconds, what
did you mean?

Speaker 2 (32:59):
by that exactly, would you?
like to call that person out andI yeah, you know what I have
done that I have done that, yeah, and you know, like I said, uh,
the interview just takes on awhole situation, but I am able
to to really get these artiststo open up.
All right, you know they'vedone several interviews before
they come to me.
So what, what can I do to standmy interview out than the rest

(33:20):
of them?
Right, and I think we'veaccomplished that several times
and stuff with our interviewsand stuff.
You know what I mean.
So, yeah, that's what prettymuch our show is about, and I
always ended with the song thatthey were going to premiere and
stuff.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
All right, yeah so that's pretty much it.
It's a lot of work, man.
How is that down there?
Man, how you doing down therewith that brother?

Speaker 4 (33:41):
I should have wrote up a blunt.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
I'm pretty sure he won't even pass it.
Hey, who do you guys find thatyou guys take inspiration from?
So you know running yourpodcast, doing your segment,
doing your skit, you knowjotting things down, all the
photography, all the art, allthe music.
Each one of you guys, you knowwho's somebody that you kind of
try to model after as asuccessful figure, if you will,

(34:12):
in your portion of the show.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
See, I'm from Los Angeles, bro, and you know big
boy Pop 106 and everythingcoming up as a DJ and everything
like that.
I actually had to sit down, man, and learn from my brother and
try to be under him.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
DJ.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
Hustle, hustle TV.
Okay, so I sat under him mantrying to you know.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Absorb what you can, yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
So for me to learn and get better than basically
get with these guys, itbasically, man, it turned me
like a whole 360, bro, you're awhole, completely different
person, man.
Yes, bro, it's like now theyabout to figure out damn Bigfoot
you crazy.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
So you were like disguised as an introvert, and
now you're becoming an extrovert.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Basically I'm coming as a whole comedian.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
This is the most I've ever heard him speak hey, he's
comfortable because we alreadyknew each other.
So, yeah, he's at home now.
Man, we're all.
He finally came out of thewoods.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
I did, bro, you forgot.
All right, all right, I gotlocked up in the woods.

Speaker 5 (35:17):
I'm giving my background um.
I'm from georgia, uh georgiayes georg.
So, no, georgia is like I was aloner.
I ain't ready too much to dealwith people.
I like dealing by myself, doingthings by myself.
So as I got older I tried tolearn new things.

(35:38):
Still, I still would hesitatewith that.
So when I got kids, you knowkids started making me.
I would hesitate with that.
So when I got kids no kids, kids started making me, you know
, learn more.
But when I had my daughter, shethe one pushes me to keep, keep
going.
So when I came out here toCalifornia I'm still no closet

(36:00):
person, didn't really deal withnobody.
But you know, as I startedworking and I met with Henry I
think he kind of like brought itout of you.
Yeah, pushing it out of me to bea better person.
Kelly, you can do it, you canbe a better person.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
So that's where, right now, that's where it's
leading to right now, he pushedme to be a better person that's
what real love and brotherhoodis, is when we can talk to each
other and we can let each otherknow hey, you're fucking up, man
, you're slipping.
I know you're capable, I knowyou can do better.
Let's push for this, set somegoals, line some things out.

(36:35):
Yeah, man.

Speaker 5 (36:35):
Yeah, and that's why I be telling them all the time.
I say, hey, fuck up, Let meknow Straight.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
I said hey, if I fuck up, let me know Straighten me
out, let me know.

Speaker 5 (36:43):
Let me know if I'm fucking up.
Tell me right now, kelly, youfucking up?
All right, cool, I take this inand I suck it in.
I'm going to try to do better.
As a matter of fact, I ain'tgoing to try, I am going to do
better.
So that's my story, all right.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
How about you, brother?
I wasn't born here.
I was born in the Philippinesand you know I was raised by my
aunt.
My parents left me to my auntwhen I was one and I didn't
actually meet my parents until Iwas almost 10.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Wow, were they just not in the best position to
raise you or raise a kid at thetime?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
To be honest, like my mom, here we go, here we go,
baby.
God damn, this shit just wentdown right now.
These motherfuckers are sad dog.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Fuck.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
From what I understand, like my mom was not
getting along with my grandma,my dad's mom, and by the time
she's had it she ended uptelling my dad I'm gone, I'm
leaving.
So she came to the UnitedStates with her parents and

(38:02):
shortly after that my dadfollowed her, and so I got left
behind when I was one.
And anyway, from that I justrealized the value in trying to
preserve things like memoriesyeah like a lot of my pictures.

(38:22):
They're gone.
You know what?

Speaker 5 (38:24):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
So, also at that time , I felt like I was always alone
, like in my own world, that, like, I found expression through
art and I felt so connected toart that like, anyway, I ended
up pursuing it later on, to artthat like, anyway, I ended up

(38:47):
pursuing it later on.
And, uh, you know, I've dabbledin different types of art and,
like, I found that, like, photography encompasses all the
things that I could do.
Yeah, then you know, like Icould paint and stuff and like
photograph people in front of it, but I just feel like, um,
preserving things, you know, like it's important to me.
So, anyway, when I found theseguys, um, my dream, my lifelong

(39:11):
dream that my parents didn't letme do, was stripper too.
I don't think the world wouldlet me do that either.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
Deuce Bigelow, I know dude.
Makers feel Jiggalo, I'll beyour bodyguard.
Man, no trick.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
My dream was to actually work for the movie
industry.
I love the movies man.
I watch movies all the time.
Every day I would watch onething.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
No.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
I wanted to build sets, wanted to uh work the film
I wanted to do like like cameraand lighting and behind the
scenes, yeah, yeah but now thatI'm older and waited too long to
pursue my dream?
Yeah like this guy came intothe picture and I just feel like
dude, I'm getting the dreamthat I wanted, like something I

(40:10):
would have to move to, la to, topursue like in in this type of
industry.
Um, but it's all here it's inbakersfield.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
It's in bakersfield.
Yeah, we have it in bakersfield, of all places, we got it.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
I know.
So that's the beauty of it, andI feel like the more we let
people know that we exist, themore we would have pride in our
own things.
I don't need to go to LA tofind this Correct, and that's
why I was blessed with theseguys man, and you don't have to
go to la to find it.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
even if it didn't exist here, you can create it
yeah right, exactly, we cancreate it.
Oh yeah, the bug podcast didn'texist at one point and it got
created because there was a void, there was a need, there was a
vision by somebody that said, hey, we, we need this kind of
thing in bakersfield for theunderground.
Yeah, right, yeah yeah, forreal.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Can you believe?
These motherfuckers said, itwas me, I'm looking motivated
y'all.
They don't talk to me like that, bro.

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I've never heard this in my life, bro.
This is a real emotionalpodcast right now, brother.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
What kind of joy did you give them, bro.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
Hey, you know what's crazy?
Yeah, dude, see, look, I'vebeen in Bakersfield for a while,
bro, and I used to sell CDs atKmart back in the day and
dealing with these guys andeverything and interviewing the
artists and stuff.
When I see them and it's funny, bro, because they be like what

(41:39):
you doing over here, oh, I'm theDJ, oh you, the DJ, who used to
be at Kmart Seller City, bro,it'd be funny to me because
that's where I started.
I used to start at Kmart, howard's, dee, dee's, stuff like
that back in the day and seeingthese artists who we interview.

(42:01):
Then they look at me like, ohyeah, I know exactly who you is.
Man coming up, bro, it's crazybeing known now.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Yes, that's something like whoa, how has your guys'
lives changed, even if it'smodest, even if we're modest and
we're humble about ourselvesright, we can be cocky.
We're doing fucking great.
We got streamers.
We're doing great Everythingelse.
I'm a Bakersfield celebrity now, right, but in all honesty,
where do you feel like it'staking you guys?

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Can I answer the original question, though?

Speaker 5 (42:36):
Yeah, yeah, who?
Inspired?

Speaker 2 (42:38):
me, these sad fucking sexist shit over here.

Speaker 4 (42:41):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Bringing the show down.
You know we're going to editthat shit out dog, you're going
to edit it out.

Speaker 5 (42:46):
Man, I love you, man.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
But okay, I was inspired by two people.
All right, One of them is goingthrough a lot of shit right now
, but I'm going to say itanyways, okay, so Vince McMahon,
all right.
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Because of the Entertainment side of it, from
nothing to yeah, yeah he builtthis thing, you know, and shout
out those Muchos.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Knows exactly what I'm talking about?
Vince McMahon.
He's all about Entertainment,no matter what, at what cost.
Yes, you know what I mean.
As soon as we hit the recordbutton, boom, we're on.
We're here to entertain All ofour.
These guys already know verywell.
They get the speech from me onthe ride over here throughout
the day.
We have to be entertainingbecause I want to make sure that

(43:31):
whoever is dedicating that timeto us, we can go ahead and get
them out of this funk that'sgoing on in the world right now
and, for at least two, threehours, be entertaining.
You know what I mean.
That's what I like to do.
You know what I mean.
When I listen to your show, I'mentertained by all these dj
stories and stuff.
You know what I mean.
So that's what I want to bring.
So vincent man is one of them.
The other one is howard stern.

(43:52):
Oh, you know what I mean.
Like howard stern, heavy hitteryeah from new york.
He, um, he was, he would.
He was all I would listen towhen he was uh in radio here in
la right.
Yeah, then he went to seriousradio and I got a fucking
subscription, because that'swhere all the skits came from.
That's about just hey, beingyourself.
I remember when I first startedrecording, I would use a

(44:13):
different voice and I had ahomeboy.
He was like dude, just fuckingbe yourself.
Why are you trying to be thisother person?
I'm like I don't know man, Idon't know where I'm at.
I was a little bit lost, I wastrying to figure it out.
Right, he's like just beyourself, and that's what I tell
everybody else just be yourself, man, because everybody has a
character right.
Yeah, uh, those two were veryinspirational.
I listened to a lot of talkradio growing up.

(44:33):
You know what I mean.
Like like bigfoot said, uh, bigboy radio rig these in the
morning art lebeau like bro.
Back then, before there was allthis um, mp3s or you know what I
mean streaming, there was radio, yeah, so I had a walkman back
in the day.
Now I grew up in the ghettobrother in san fernando and
pacoyma, and my school was innorthridge, which is like a good

(44:55):
hour and a half, and I used totake the school the city bus.
That was a three hour in themorning, bro, and then in the
afternoons the only thing that Iit was during my, uh, junior
high years, so my parents werealways working.
I hardly saw my parents.
They were always working, butyou know they did the best that
they could right and yeah, lookhow I turned out.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
You know, look at me.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
But I used to have that three-hour bus ride.
The only thing I had was myradio.
Yeah, so back then and I'mpretty sure you can relate to
this Back then, if a countrysong played and you didn't like
country guess what you had tolisten to it.
Oh yeah, you didn't have achoice.
Yeah, because you couldn't skip.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
What reception were you going to have?
Yeah, you couldn't skip.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
And then the next song was probably Tupac right,
california love, yeah, yeah,yeah.
Then the next one was probablyno Doubt you, magic Kingdom.
You know what I mean.
You're like, all right, but themore you listen to it, the more
you're like oh shit, I'mfucking digging this shit.
What the fuck is Gwen Stefanitalking about?
You know what I mean?
Green Day Fucking.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Oh yeah, Then I went to war.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
You know what I mean I would listen to every single.
I had no choice.
All that stuck with me you.
So I talk with everybody,whether you're an R&B singer.
We've had country singers onand some punk rock artists too.
You know what I mean Some gothrock too.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
You don't discriminate.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
There's no discrimination.
You're underground.
You're underground, there is.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
There's one underground and all of us are in
it.
Yeah, there you go, all of usare in it.

Speaker 5 (46:21):
That's a good way of putting it.
I've had djs on too, which youknow you got to come on our show
next.
You know what I mean, becauseevery dj has her own style.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
You know what I mean.
So, and I know there's there'sa lot of stories out there, you
know, and those muchos actuallyhe came on our show very early
on.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
I seen the first couple episodes yeah, yeah, he
was very five, or yeah veryearly on.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
You know what I mean.
So yeah, he would talk aboutdjing and stuff and it's a whole
other beast man and I hear youtalking about that during your
show too.
You know, every episode youbring a different dj on.
Yeah, I love, I love the wayeverybody has a different style,
right everybody, everybody, yeah, but not to okay, so I
answered your question.
I'm gonna ask you somethingreal quick, because I'm dying to

(47:00):
ask you how do you feel you're?
How long have you been a dj for?

Speaker 1 (47:04):
three whole years.
Three, three whole years.
So you're brand new.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
You're brand new?
Yeah, all right.
So back in the day you had twovinyl records playing, and to
blend both sounds right by ear, that's fucking insane, yeah, by
ear.
Did they used to have to usethat chalk?
Was it chalk or what was it tomark?

Speaker 1 (47:25):
Yeah, well, they put a sticker.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
They chalk.
Was it chalk or what was it tomark?
Yeah, well, they put a sticker.
They'll put whatever on the onthe lp.
Yeah, and lps, as you know, they they fuck up real easy.
Yeah, you know what I mean.
So to capture that one secondof a sound on a whole vinyl
album and mix it into?

Speaker 1 (47:40):
this track.
There was an art, a great art,to it carrying all those vinyl
fucking records.
Yeah, all the crates I, beingthat I'm only three in, I've
been completely digital thiswhole time yeah, yeah funnily
enough, I've also reverted allthe way back to having my own
1200s and my s9 and going backto vinyl, because I'm, I'm, I'm

(48:03):
appreciative of the art, I likethe art itself and unless you go
all the way back to thebeginning, down to the
foundation and you start withthat foundation you're never
going to.
I don't think you're ever goingto fully have the respect of any
other DJ Fully, have therespect you know.
We can play music for peopleand they don't know whether we,

(48:25):
you know shoes in the dryer andmess up or it's perfect, and
they don't know if we're mixingin the right key or in and out
of a different key.
People just want to hear theirjoints.
They just want to hear theirjoints.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
So much goes into it though.
I respect all DJs because, onceagain, I pay attention to all
that stuff.
You know what I mean.
And for you to go out therepretty much, if there's no DJ in
a party, there is no party, correct?
You know what I mean.
And I feel like a lot of youDJs out here.
I've had several DJs on theshow and I tell them the same
thing man, I respect the fuckout of you guys.
I can't do what you guys do.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
I try to be a DJ.
I tried.
I fell.
Miserably, bro, miserably,really, I failed.
Oh, no man, you know what Imean.

Speaker 2 (49:09):
We can get you on track, yeah yeah, yeah, hell
yeah, I'm with it, man, I'm withit.
But I went back and I searchedthe history of DJing and
everything.

Speaker 5 (49:16):
And it's like man.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
It's just incredible what they were able to do back
then they created instruments, turntables into musical
instruments, things that you canmanipulate and play and and and
alter and completely, completely changed a song.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
Yeah, yeah, one sound bit, one drum pattern at a time
that's fucking incredible, man, yeah you know what I mean.
Once things went digitally, Ithink that things did change.
You know, I was still, you know, I was paying attention to all
that during parties, when therewere cd players.
Now, you got two cds spinning atthe same time and it became a
little bit easier.
I believe it became a littlebit easier absolutely.
Now it's more digital.

(49:56):
You got computers now andeverything that that could do
the majority of the work, but itstill takes that talent to
blend those beats per minutesand stuff like that.
You know what I mean andthere's an artistry to it.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
There's, there's a flair, right a flair.
Every dj has their own flair, their own style, their own
special sauce, their ownseasoning, if you will.
Every dj has their own, andthat's where you're not going to
get ai or anything else on acomputer to release a d Now is
AI going to get involved?
Yes, absolutely.

(50:27):
Oh yeah, are they going to havea computer playing music and a
camera facing the crowd to see, quote unquote, read the crowd?
Yeah, absolutely, and they'regoing to know what song to put
on next to get more people outto the dance floor, and it's
going to be very, veryintelligent.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
It's just not going to have Gy b's flair.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
Bam, there you go or og redeems flair or anybody
else's flair in their specialreal touch they put on it for
real and to keep that rhythm, that you know, that atmosphere
going it ain't, it ain't fuckingeasy man yeah it ain't easy,
because you know you got, whileyou're playing your, your set
right.
You already got your mixes oryou're mixing their live.
You got these motherfuckerscoming up to you.

(51:10):
Hey man, I want you to playsuavemente right now.
Oh yeah you know how am I gonnamix that to flea whoop mac like
, how am I gonna mix it up, bro?
like, give me, give me a chanceto work my way to work.
My hey big for you.
You lick the fuck out of thisjoint bro, he wet it up man.

Speaker 4 (51:26):
Yeah, he does that all the time.
Oh man, I'm not going to passthat one.
But anyways, man, I didn't lickit.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
It's wax fool.
I don't know man, but keep thatshit over there.
Damn, fuck you.
But yeah, you know what I mean.
I find it fascinating.
You know what I mean?
The hard stuff I respect thefuck out of it.
Thank you man, I respect thefuck out of you guys because it

(51:50):
ain't easy, man.
It ain't easy to keep a three, four hour party going and still
have that energy.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
It's not.
And and the worst thing is,club djs are pretty easy, right.
You're gonna play hip-hop,you're gonna play top.
You're gonna play pop, you'regonna play.
You know all the bangers right, all the radio the hits and
stuff the hits, it's when youhave to get into weddings.
When you have to get into, youknow how many different age

(52:14):
ranges are there at a weddingAnywhere from five years old to
80 years old.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
For real, that's true .

Speaker 1 (52:20):
Okay, well, the five-year-old don't want to hear
what the 80-year-old wants tohear, and they don't want to
hear what the 40 year old wantsto hear.
So it's, it's.
It's like a symphony, if youwill Like.
All I can equate it to is asymphony, and there's crescendos
and there's, you know, you falloff and you know you play three
or four pop songs and then youmix it into a Fleetwood Mac song

(52:41):
and then you mix that into ABBAand then you mix that into Old
MacDonald had a farm.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
I did Abba, and then you mix that into Old McDonald's
.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
You had to play Old.
Mcdonald's on a farm, I did.
I made some little girls nightand day.
You're badass.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
What kind of beat was that dog?

Speaker 1 (52:57):
Y'all had to clap along.
They did, the crowd clapped andeverything.

Speaker 5 (53:01):
It was country dog I bet, everybody was just looking
at.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
The people that weren't in on it.
They looked at you like whatthe fuck did you?

Speaker 2 (53:10):
just smoke something, something so, speaking of that
right, have you ever played asong where everybody was like
what the fuck?
Where you're like, hey, Ishouldn't have played that shit,
dude.
Oh, I know, early on, when youfirst started, I did, I did, I
did it first started, I did, Idid, I did it recently, brother.
Oh, recently.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
I did it recently man , I did, I did, I did.
I did it real recently, like acouple weeks ago man, what song
was it?

Speaker 2 (53:38):
And tell me about that story.
Man, what part Mac Miller?
All right, because you're bigon Mac Miller, I'm a huge Mac
fan.
I see that, yeah, I'm a lifeand death.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
Mac man, I think it was either Knock Knock or Donald
Trump.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
All right, you were in Latino Party, or what the
fuck.

Speaker 1 (53:58):
And we were at the.
Bakersfield Condors Was you upthere with.

Speaker 4 (54:02):
Dose.

Speaker 1 (54:02):
Was you up there with Dose?
No, Dose was up there the weekafter me or something man.

Speaker 5 (54:07):
I was up.
Richie Rich is the Condors DJman.
It's Richie Rich.

Speaker 1 (54:18):
Richie Rich told me he said hey, man, not only do
you have to watch curse words insongs you know we have to have
clean music for all of thesefamilies but you've got to watch
the message of the song andwhat they're saying about eating
boxes.
Yes, you fucked that up Ididn't do it on purpose.
So basically you're justwinning one ear out the other.
Yeah, kind of man and I hit thatmac miller song and it started

(54:41):
out great man, real real, uh,real real energy and everybody
was liking it and he was getting, he was flowing right.
And then he said somethingabout licking the box or eating
the box wait a minute I had to.
I had to stem out the vocalreal quick and mix something
else okay.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
So did you not know the lyrics?
Or I didn't know, just in themood I didn't know the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
I don't have those ones memorized.
That is hilarious dude.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
I had a situation similar to that right now.
I was there helping the djbecause, again, I know a bunch
of songs.
Yeah, I said, hey, man, we'reat a spanish quinceanera right
so the dj that was there right,he was the one that was hired
there he starts playing thissong right from aventura.
Right, aventura is a bachataband, right, okay, you might

(55:28):
know about them, so, but out ofall their hits, he plays the one
song that has to do with withum.
It's a sensitive subject abouta little girl.
Oh yeah, and I look at him yeahthere, you go there you go dude,
yeah, you go dude, yeah.
Like how the fuck are you goingto play out of all the songs?

(55:49):
That was deep, that's a deepsong, yeah.

Speaker 5 (55:51):
But okay, so you know about.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
Aventura, yeah, out of all the songs.
Yeah, solo por un beso.
Yes, right, mi amigo, ya yo.
You know what I mean?
Out of all the songs.
Stop, he played that onefucking song and it was like a
deep cut track, right, and I'mlike bro, what are you doing?
And he's like yeah, man, thisis the mix.

(56:14):
I'm like no fool, it's not.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
This is not the one.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
You know what?
Sometimes I'm like that withGordon because I know Spanish
music.
He does a lot of Quinceañerasand stuff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
And I'm like not that one Delete.
And then I have to tell themhey, you can't play Ramona Yala
yet, just wait.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Yeah, just wait.
I got to play it at the end ofthe night.
There's a certain yeah oncethey get a little bit.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Yeah, you know what I mean.
Like, vicente Fernandez, youknow what I mean.
Like, yeah, volver, volver, yeah, so there's like all right,
so there's like a yeah, there'sa whole rhythm, there's a
rhythm, you know?
Hey, you should be thankful,bro.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
I am, you should be thankful.
Hey, I have done so manysuccessful Hispanic events since
those men with her in my earhelping me.
She's like yeah, do that one.
I'm like, okay, I've heard youtalk about that on the show too.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
I've heard you talk about that on the show too.
Yeah, because it's a differentcrowd and once again, a lot of
dude.
Big shout out to all the DJsout there.
You know what?

Speaker 5 (57:10):
I mean Because there is different crowds, man.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
You just don't know what they're into.
Sometimes it's a mixed crowd.
You know what I mean.
So it's just, man, it's wildbro.
It's an experience, man, beinga DJ out there for a little bit,
a little bit of time, that Igot to do it.
You know what I mean.
Nobody hired me after that.
I think you can jump back in,man, I'm pretty sure I could.
That wasn't my event.
I was there helping, damn it.
I was off guard.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
I wasn't prepared man , I can hold that one.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
I corrected the error , man, but nah, dude, much power
to you guys, man, because itain't easy, it ain guys need to
learn or know and mix that inwith other genres as well and
keep the party going.
And you got drunk people inthere like play this track.
You know I mean, it's adifficult situation.

(57:55):
You know what I mean.
But hey, you got people thatthere's.
There's people out there likemyself that do admire what you
guys do.
Man, much respect to you guyshey, hey, shout out.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Hey, all my djs are getting in free to that rooftop

Yeah, you can drop one.
We got the VIP parking in there.
There you go, there you go.
We got the free parking rightBecause we're already parked at

Speaker 1 (58:43):
We got a jumper out there for kids we're're going to

Speaker 2 (58:49):
The third floor is blocked off obviously yeah, yeah

and everything else.
Yeah, you'll be able to see ourstudio.
It's like the window rightthere.
We're on the third floor soyou'll be able to see it.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
We were over there.
It's the weekend, it's lastweekend.
Yeah, yeah, sunday, sunday, yeah, we went by Sunday at about
3 pm, went and talked to Syed, wrapped up some stuff with him,
made sure everything's on thegood.
We went upstairs and I just gotinto drones.
I'm flying drones.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
All right, it takes a little bit of practice.
I want to do drone photography?

Speaker 1 (59:28):
I want to get aerial shots just beautiful things that
you want to be able to get.
Yeah, I see you have yourfucking iPhone.
Is it small rig, or which oneis it?
Yeah, it's a small rig.
I got the same setup rightthere, dude.
Yeah, that's all her man.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Yeah, that's a really good setup right there, by the
way I feel like.
I'm at home.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
We got the same stuff , that's when you know it's real
man, when you're at somebodyelse's home, but it's still home
there you go DJI.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Yeah, I know exactly what that one is.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
So, anyways, man, I'm flying around, man and I'm
getting this real nice cinematicfootage.
Man just slowly around theparking garage, the light is
right and I'm watching it.
I'm on the north end, so I'mwatching it near your guys'
office, right?

Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
And it's flying and I'm watching it on the phone and
I'm getting this cinematic andside of the brick wall down onto
the Eurekios parking Right onthe roof.
Right there it's like a domeroof.
Yeah, I crashed it.
We'll be able to get you yourdrone back.
I got it.
Oh, you got it already.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
I went and talked to the manager, Maria.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
I don't know who the owner is.

Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
The Haberfeld, yeah, yeah I went and talked to her
and the maintenance guy got itfor me on Monday and luckily
there was only a couple oflittle dings on it or whatever.
So I'm good to go, man, that'show it happens.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Drones is not easy in the beginning for you to get
the feel of it.
You know what I mean, so I getit.
Man, I used to have a drone andstuff but I stopped recording
in drones so I just sold it.
But, man, I got a lot ofpractice in any.
It's a whole other art.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
It's the whole x, y, z axis.
Yeah you got a whole notheraxis that you're.
You're messing with man.
That's why them helicopterpilots be messing up.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Yeah out of that, out of that 30 minutes that you
record.
If you can get 10 secondssmooths 10 seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
10 seconds you're happy, right, and then you're
just editing, piecing togetherman man, I'm glad somebody feels
my pain.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Man, hell yeah, I've had to do several drone shots
too.
I'm like I just need 10 seconds, man, yeah, so when the sun
shines perfectly and you gotthat perfect lighting right.
You gotta have that nd filterin your drone.
Yeah, if you have that and youget that perfect 10 seconds,
you're like, fuck, yeah, I'mgoing home now go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:01:29):
It's like fishing.
So when you crashed it did youalmost cry or have a heart
attack, like it was your childor something.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
I had a rough time with it, brother, I had a rough
time with it cause, right, rightprior to me crashing the drone,
I dropped the iPhone and brokeit.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Are you using that as your monitor?
Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, becauseI'm going to get them goggles
for it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Oh, that's expensive.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Yeah, I want to do it right, you know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
We try to do things right, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Oh, of course, of course.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
But yeah, right prior to that I had broken iPhone
screen.
Obviously.
But yeah, right prior to that Ihad broken iPhone screen and
it's an old iPhone, it's like aniPhone 8 or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
But it was pretty cool.
It was cool, it worked, it wasperfect.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
I could be on my phone and still have the drone
phone going.
Yeah, man, I had a rough daythat day, man.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Damn man.
That's like 300 bucks, 400bucks, right there, it's not
like you don't want to get intodetail with it.

Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
It's like it hit you pretty hard.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Oh man.
Yeah, you know it got easier, man.
This one's good.
Normally I'm the positive one.
Normally I'm positive abouteverything.
I find the good in everythingyou give me the worst situation
and I will find something goodbecause of it, man, because I

(01:02:48):
don't like the negativity, Idon't like the bad, so it's rare
that I'm negative and I I gotdown a little bit so then this
one comes in and picks me upright.
So it's like hey yeah, it'll befine, you'll get it monday and
yeah, I got it monday.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
It's only 400.
Yeah, that's yeah, yeah, that'sthe thing, it's the yeah yeah,
but hey, but if you don't gothrough that, you're never gonna
learn.
That's what I told.
Her's the yeah, yeah, but hey,but if you don't go through that
, you're never going to learn.

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
That's what I told her.
You know what I mean.
I said this is the cost ofdrone education.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Yeah, I fucked up my drone several times until I was
like all right, a brick wallstop.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Yeah, don't go through there.
It's not invisible man, it'snot going to work.

Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
It's not a, but that's the fun part about, you
know, doing projects like thatvideo.
I do a lot of video editing.
You know what I mean.
I shoot also.
You know what I mean.
So it's fun, you know.
But once it becomes a job, it'slike oh shit, you know, like I
don't want to do this.
It's like I do that 24 7, evenon my regular job, on my 15
minute breaks that's what I'mdoing.
I'm editing videos, yeah, likeit just never stops, because now

(01:03:48):
, once you get to the pointwhere people want to see what
you got, now they're expectingyou, it's an obligation.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
You are obligated to keep delivering.
Now they're on episode 15.
They want 16.
Now You're obligated Bro-ski.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
I've gotten messages hey man, where's episode 94 at?
We know you recorded it becauseit's already out.
Where's the video out?
I'm like damn motherfuckers, like it takes time.
Yeah, it takes time, especiallywhen you want to do like, when
you want to put out the best, some production value yes,
production value graphics youneed I'm huge on album covers,

(01:04:25):
broski, like I'm huge on that,so I want to have the album
cover.
As we're talking about a certaintrack, right?
Yeah, because, like I said, I'mbig on that, but motherfuckers
can't wait yo, they just want meto put it out.
It is hard, you know what Imean.
It's hard, but I'm still havingfun with it.
I don't know about you, youknow what I mean if you're still
having fun with recording djing.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
I love it, I love it, man.
I have so much fun doing thisand the funny thing is we'll get
60 listeners on this episode,or 100 listeners, or whatever it
may be.
Yeah, that's fucking dope manand I'm like look, that's 100
people from across the world andyou get your analytics and
everything from the sites and itsays somebody from India
listened somebody from.

(01:05:05):
Sweden listened and I'm on thesites and it says somebody from
india listen, somebody in swedenlisten.
I'm like jesus christ.
How you find somebody frombakersfield?

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
california talking about dj stuff and you're in
sweden right, yeah, when you seethat one percent sweden, you're
like, oh shit, like somebodyheard my show.
Yeah, again, it's not easy toto put on a show.
Yeah, because not everythingthat comes out of your mouth is
entertaining or important orfunny or it's not always butter
that's where editing comes intoplay, right, yeah, but you try
your best and stuff.
You know what I mean, and that's.

(01:05:33):
You know what I mean.
Like, I respect that, yeah.
So we, we, we have been goingto different podcasts and stuff,
and here's one of the thingsthat I want to say.
You guys don't know about this.
You're gonna hear this for thefirst time, bro gordy.
I feel like a fucking asshole, because when I send you the
message, I'm gonna put myself onblast, right?

Speaker 5 (01:05:52):
now, when I originally, when I originally
sent you the message where wherewe're about coming on to your
show.

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Oh yeah, I made the fucking dumbest comment.
I said hey, you know we've beenkicked out of shows before.

Speaker 5 (01:06:06):
No, no, but hold on, hold, on hold on Hold on.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
I immediately felt like a fucking asshole.

Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
But how did I respond , man?

Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
No, no, you were so cool about it.
But I was trying to be cool, man.
I was trying to be that youknow what Holy shit you better
watch out.
You know what I mean.
But, man, I felt like to bethat you know what Holy shit you
better watch out.
You know what I mean, but man,I felt like a fucking idiot.
Right after I sent that messagebecause I was like man, why the
fuck did?

Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
I say that, hey, like I said, always positive man.
You were, even if you werenegative, you handled it well.
I was like cool, yeah, hehandled it, so let's get kicked
out of somewhere man.

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
But you said, hey, let's not waste time on stuff
that we're not going to use.
I said, man, you're cool asfuck.
I felt that and I apologize forthat.
I was trying to play Mr Cool, you know what I mean.
But then when I hit, send rightaway.

Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
I said why the fuck did I do that?
Why did I do that?
Now you guys are in my livingroom, man.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
But we still made it here.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
You know what I mean.
Hell yeah, bro, I don't got astudio like y'all.
Man, we're in my living room.
No, no, nothing like that.
You know what?
No, no.

Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Okay, which leads me to your next question.
Right, how are we dealing withyou said success?
Is that what was the question?
Yeah, you know what I?
I have several stories of whathas changed since then.

Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
I don't see myself changing, I just see myself.
Oh, fuck you, dude, you fuckyou, go ahead, go ahead, go
ahead.

Speaker 4 (01:07:35):
Hey Dad, it's okay Dad, it's okay Dad.
Do I need to show him?

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
your supermodel video , professional photo shoot,
video that you put out.
Ooh, you wouldn't Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
You wouldn't, okay, you wouldn't Ooh, you wouldn't.
No, you ain't talking about oohover there, ooh.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Mr Brandy, I'm going to cut over there.
When I met Cadillac, he was thequietest.
You know what I mean.
He is such a fucking nice guyman.
He was shy.
He was shy.
He barely even spoke, yeah,Barely even spoke.
The nicest fucking, which hestill is.
You know what I mean?
He's my brother man.
I love this guy.
So he reached a certain levelwhere he started showing up late

(01:08:13):
to the shows, right?

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Oh, celebrity shit, okay, okay, all right, I said
okay man, Life happens right.
Life happens right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, life happensman.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Then he wants a photo shoot.
Okay, not a bug photo shoot, aweatherman, cadillac photo shoot
okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Oh, a solo project.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Yeah, solo project right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
He's Justin Timberlake and you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
Oh fuck yeah, why you rubbing it in, you just making
it worse.

Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
You just making it worse All of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
He's using the bugtographer in a closed set For
his personal advancement.

Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
For his personal Very good, yeah, very good.
I like the way he put that Hispersonal advancement, okay, yeah
, that's all right, I got younext bud.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
I got you next video of behind the scenes of the
photo shoot.
There's a documentary out there.

Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Doubled up on it, I wish we could watch it right
here.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):

It's a black and white artisticvideo, right.
That video blows up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
You ain't.

Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
The mic is yours.
I'm going to just say thisright here you ain't shit and
you ain't shit, shit, right now.

Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
Go ahead and answer the question, bro.
Go ahead, man.

Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
I'm at letter.
I don't understand.
You got to answer me thequestion again.
Do I need to pull the?

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
video out.
No, how have you handled?

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
I was there Was it badass.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
I'll show you.
We can put it on the big screen.
Ah Lee, what are you doing allthat?

Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Man ask her what it is man how?
Are dealing with that success.

Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
Come on, I'm still humble, ain't that the chain?
Motherfucker came with ahaircut.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
All of a sudden he had a fade.
He went ahead and he wastrimming his beard.
Bro, I've never seen this manlike this, bro.
He was well manicured, he had amustache from French.
He still do Mustache.
You can hear us talking aboutthat on the show.
We're like wait a minute.
Who the fuck is this?
It's Carl Winslow.
He came in with a mustache bro.

(01:10:28):
It's not even a mustache, bro,moustache.
It changed him.
It changed him bro.

Speaker 5 (01:10:34):
Hey, how about this?
How about we get on anothertopic?
Hey, Bitfoo, we're on you rightnow.
Yeah, you changed.

Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
He's been handling success very well, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Hey, very well, you know.
Hey.
Hey, he's humbling up, he's inmy house, I'm good with you,
brother.

Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
I had to drive him off the driver today, dog hey
designated oh yeah, he's.
How are y'all doing with?

Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
them uh, mystery drinks man, I'm like more than
halfway halfway there man, hellyeah, I'm halfway done.

Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
Oh man, so we we recently.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
We recently got invited, okay.
So.
So the more success comes, themore doors open, right, yeah,
doors that you never knew evenexisted here in town, yeah, okay
.
So I briefly got into it on myshow and stuff, how I got
invited to a place where youneeded a password to get in.
Oh, I'm like wait a minute, like like a speakeasy thing

(01:11:27):
without it.
I'm not gonna mention any names, but you know you need a
password to get in.
Yeah, I'm like what the fuck, dude?
I'm just, I'm just here to dosome some, some work.
Yeah, they wouldn't let me in,you know.
So there was some.
I had to call somebody who knew, somebody who sent me the
password, who gave them the okayto open the door to this event.
I said, oh shit, we justrecently got invited to a and

(01:11:50):
this has nothing to do with thatwe got invited to a album
release party, but this was likepeople that you only see on TV
and shit Real famous.
I'm like, wait a minute, peoplein the business, right.
I'm like, and people werecoming, the business, right.
I'm like, and people werecoming up to me, hey, the
biggity bomb, what's up?

(01:12:11):
I'm like, how the fuck do youknow me?
Yeah, dude, so that event, youknow what?
Uh, it was a lovely event.
Yeah, I never thought in mylife that I would even be
invited, yet alone be recognized.
Yeah, you know what I mean.
And, once again, I always throwthe test out there.
How do you know me?

(01:12:31):
Like, tell me an episode, whatdid you like?
And right away they would tellme what it was what hooked them?

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
that's, that's the one that hooks them, that's the
one that they're gonna tell youthe one that hooked them so, so
all right.

Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
So how do I deal with that?
I'm still like I I don'tbelieve it.
I can't believe it, right, because to me the grind still
continues.
It just doesn't stop.
There's just so much still, Ifeel, still to do Many levels to
go.
Yeah, many levels to go, sowhere I'm at is nothing compared
to other people, but where I'mat right now with it is more
compared to people that haven'tdone anything.

Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
It's more compared to people that haven't done
anything.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Yeah, there you go.
So I took that extra step.
Right, I gave it that extra.
You know what I mean.
But I will say that I am happythat I get to share this with my
broskies over here.
You know what I mean, that itain't just me by myself.
How fun will it be beingsuccessful by yourself, but
it'll be cool to come up withall your broskies you know what
I mean and watching them enjoyevery single bit of it, where we

(01:13:27):
could have been doing nothing, just chilling, not doing shit.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Right, but right now there's a buzz going on with
with the show and more doors areopening.
You know what I mean.
We just got to be careful morewith how we deal with the
business side of it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
Do you have anything up and coming that you might not
necessarily be able to divulge?

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
For the last year.
Okay, so our show has beennominated twice for Best Podcast
of the Year.
We haven't won it yet, right?
But it's still an honor, right?
Just to be nominated for thatand stuff.
You know what I mean.
And just being surrounded.
For the past year a lot hasbeen going on, you know what I
mean when the business side ofit is coming into play now, sure

(01:14:13):
.

Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
And I'm learning as I go.
You have to make businessdecisions now.
Yes, not just yes, not justartistry decisions, but now you
have to make business decisions.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
And it's not.
You know, we're always havingfun doing the show, but when it
comes down to the business sideof it, Now a lot of these guys
right here like they're notthere for that, because that's
where I come in, right, yeah,you can't.
You got to be careful.
What you sign, just because itsounds great, doesn't mean that

(01:14:43):
it's everything that you want, sure, or is beneficial to the
time and effort that you'reputting into it, or your
long-term success.

Speaker 5 (01:14:52):
Yeah, yeah exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:14:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
So it is very important for me to own
everything that I do.
It's very important.
You know, we recently had a TVdeal you know what I mean which
I'm still meeting, you know, meeting with still out there,
but it's hard, you know.
I kind of spoke to you about itand you know.

(01:15:15):
You know how I feel about thesethings.
There's been many opportunities, you know.
God bless, right, we've beenblessed, right, um, but I don't
jump in on just anything.
I don don't, you know, becauseyou have to make sure, like you
said, that you know what it isthat you're signing.
It might sound good whatthey're telling you, but will
they come through with it, yeah, and will you sign your rights

(01:15:37):
away?

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
too.
And what protections do youhave?
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
So I would tell anybody I've been asked this
question off camera and stufflike what advice would you give?
Listen to what they say, butdon't just sign off.

Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Just kind of bring it home with you, sleep on it for
a couple of days, if you're, ifyou get that good feeling, you
know in a couple of days Look itover again, you know like, but
don't just sign away your stuff, because I put in so much into
our projects for somebody tojust come in and just take it

(01:16:13):
like that.

Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
Take it from you.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
And not be able to say or do anything about it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Oh man, that would make you sicker than losing a
drone.
Right, yeah, yeah, right.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
But I won't cry, but you know, know that's a dji drug
.

Speaker 2 (01:16:29):
But yeah, you know, I would tell anybody.
You know what I mean.
It's, it's, it's a lot of work.
It is a lot of work.
And how do I handle it, man?
I just handle it day by day.
There is a lot of situationsthat I've been dealing with for
the past year.
That, um, I never thought I wasever gonna reach those limits,
but I am having fun while thatbeing said.
I don't want to be, I don'twant to be too negative.

(01:16:50):
I would just say be be aware ofwhat's out there, um, but at
the same time, have fun, man, ifyou can do it with your friends
, especially if you got yourbroskies along with you man have
fun with it, man.
Yeah, if, if now at the levelwe're at right now, whenever I
do see a new podcast pop up, Ihit them up.
Yeah, I hit them up right away, because nobody did that for me.
Oh yeah, yeah, I've been turneddown so many times before.

(01:17:14):
Now the same people are askingto be on the show now, so it's
kind of like um, how do you feelabout that?
Depending on the situation, because there's some people or
some shows, I should say thatmaybe it wasn't their decision.
They weren't the decisionmakers, sure.

Speaker 3 (01:17:32):
You know what I mean, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
Or I've only had one person who I felt came at it in
a negative way yeah you knowwhat I mean, yeah, and when you
get that feeling, it's like I'mnot confrontational.
You know what I mean.
Whatever I move on.
Sure, but when they came backand wanted to work with me, I I
went ahead and on differentprojects, you know, I was

(01:17:55):
respectfully I declined yeah.
But you know they never foundout why or anything like that.
But now me personally dealingwith all that situation.
Now, whenever I do see apodcast coming up, I hit them up
right away.
Yeah, like, hey, man, can wecome on your show, you know?
Or do you want to come on ourshow?
Yeah, do you want to run acommercial ad for your show?

(01:18:18):
On my show I got a lot ofpeople already listening.
I'll be more than happy to helpout, because I don't want to be
that person.
That what was done to me.
I don't want to pass it toanybody else.

Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
Yeah, it sucks, man.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
It sucks, but if you let it beat you down nah, fuck
that.
Yeah, you just got to keepgoing, keep going, but just
don't do that.
I feel, yeah, and that's why Ifeel that we've been successful.
Because of that, yeah, you knowwhat I mean.
So, like I said, it's an honorto be over here with you right
now because I want to help youelevate.
You know what I mean, yeah, andmaybe we can get some listeners

(01:18:50):
, you know what I mean, from theDJ community or et cetera.

Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Oh, I'm sure it's just.
That's the way that I've beendealing with.
It's been tough, you know, throughout the years, but you
know we're still having fun withit and everything.
I hope I didn't take too muchtime.
No, not at all.
Y'all motherfuckers still hereyeah.

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
I'm still here.
All right, we're going to wrapthis up with some rapid fire
questions.

Speaker 5 (01:19:25):
Uh-oh favorite local music venue in Bakersfield
Jerry's Pizza.
Do you guys have anything toadd?
I got some love for it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
I don't have anything so, besides the party that
you're throwing you know what Imean which I'm pretty sure is
gonna be very fucking dope, youknow what I mean.
I like venues where you're upand close with the person
intimate because you kind offeel the music a little bit more
.
You know what I mean.
You get to talk to the artistsas well.
Jerry Pizza is a good one.

Speaker 5 (01:19:46):
But I feel like Off the Rails is one of the ones
that are popping right now.

Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
Right, that's a really good one.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
I'm going to pick Off the Rails.

Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
Off the Rails is the one that's popping right now.
Big shout out to them, shoutout.

Speaker 1 (01:20:00):
Yeah, all right, best local place to eat after you
guys are done recording.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
A late night recording session.

Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
Lunches.

Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
Denny's are in and out.

Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Look, Munchies boxes yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
Eat a Munchie box or a Taco Bell.

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
All right.
So the reason why he's sayingthat and looking at me is
because he is my designateddriver after our shows.
Oh, because it gets real in ourshows, man, you know what I
mean.
So I'm surprised I could evencontinue on with the
interviewing.
Stuff, right.
So, man, god bless Cadillac.
Stuff, right.

(01:20:45):
So, man, god bless cadillac.
He drives me to jack in thecrack taco bell like spicy
crispy chicken sandwich largewith cheese oh man with a coke.

Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
Oh, I'm hungry now, or or?

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
a taco bell.
You know what I mean.
Like I'll get that.
You know burrito.
You know cadillacs put up witha lot of my bullshit, but yeah,
that's my spot.
