I love those football as you were cracking out. How
about that little.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Rye Rye brand footballs?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, it was some of them. Is our baker, he's
really he's very talented. The way that he laid the
dough for the laces, the way that it baked, it
looks like the laces.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Are like that's really good.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah yeah, which is kind of cool. So yeah, it's
it's the Super bowlive man Brandon Graham. Brandon Graham was
activated and the other chili tonight for tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
What's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I'm making chili tonight, getting the wings ready tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yep. Everyone's doing their thing because you know, I'm doing.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
A piece of whiskey tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Joe.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
It's a Philly thing. You wouldn't understand pretty much. People
wouldn't understand the religion that is this football team in
this town. And I'm gonna do a cutting a piece
for tomorrow's pregame, so it'll be out on heavy dot Com.
We'll send it to you, send it to our masses.
We have a special Guests today. Special Guest today runs
the Phi the Eagles Nest in Minneapolis, and you were

(01:36):
part of that crew. Tell us what that crew was
like when you were out there living there.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, so we it's funny. I stumbled across it. Remember
the the Twitter video that I showed you with Aida
singing Fly Eagles Fly to Maggie Yes, and it went
viral on ABC. All of a sudden, a guy that

(02:02):
I went to high school with messaged me and he said, Hey,
are you living in Minnesota? And I was like, yeah,
because I'm going to introduce you to this guy by
the name of Jimmy Bacon. He runs a group out
there and he saw the piece about your daughter and
he wants you to join the group.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
So that's how I got into the group. I got
introduced to it and it was fun. I mean it
was it was like hanging out with it was like
going home to Philly. About forty five minutes away from
from the house, you know, and it was just there
was there was people that were from Philadelphia that moved
to Minnesota, people that were just fans of the Eagles

(02:41):
because you know how the NFL is. It was awesome.
It was really really cool. So you know, like today,
like you said, we you know, it's a Philly thing.
Not everybody understands.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
You're not from here. You won't guite get it.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yeah, So we thought it would be a great idea
to bring Mike on, and we were hoping to get
another group as well.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Well Mike's Mike's waiting on us, So why don't we
bring him in?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, let's do that. Yeah for sure. Josh just texted
me too, So what do you say? Uh, I'm he
just I told him he sent you the link, so
I'll get him. You bring Mike in.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Okay, this is Mike Gant from the Eagles nest in Minneapolis,
joining the show, says Tricia Gain. I believe that's his wife.
We see Mike in a second. There he is there
is Oh, Kelly greened up. Hello, Mike Yeant, how are

(03:42):
we doing? How you doing? But I'm Joe, staysax Sean
lockner up top. I'm not sure how we're signed on
your laptop, but how are you doing? My friend? Thanks
for joining us today.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Thank you, I'm doing great.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Thank you Minnesota. Tell us about what you got going on? Uh,
the Eagle's Nest. Where's the Eagles Nest going to be tomorrow? Ah?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
So we're gonna be a even busters any Dina, We've
been going there for a few years now. We were
there in twenty twenty two, but looking for a different outcome.
We got about got about fifty confirmed right now.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Wow's right? What do you kind of reserve a room?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, so there's a party room that they have in
the back.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
They kind of open up the two rooms for us,
and twenty twenty two, i'd say we had about one
hundred people there, so it was it was great.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
How do you get to be part of this group?
I mean you have to be a member, right.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah, so the group formed.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
We actually formed the group in about twenty eighteen after
the Super our first Super Bowl. It got i would
say disbanded and rebuilt a couple of times, and we
came up with the Twin City Twin Cities Philadelphia Eagles
Fan Club in twenty twenty two, so we were all

(04:59):
together for that season and then that Super Bowl. David
Busters was the main spot. We started at a Buffalo
Wild Wings and we've been getting together ever since. This
year David Busters did a remodel, so we hopped around,
went to a different few different places, Roseville, Bloomington, and
then come NFC Championship game. They were ready to have

(05:22):
us back, so we watched. Actually, yeah, we watched the
NFC Championship game there and then now we're going cheer
the boys on the Super Bowl there.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Nice. So Mike are you so? Were you originally from
Philadelphia and you made your way out to Minnesota. What's
what's the story? How did we become an Eagles fan?

Speaker 1 (05:38):
So?

Speaker 5 (05:38):
I was born in Cherry Hill, moved to the Minnesota
in the early nineties. But obviously Randall Cunningham was my first,
you know, first quarterback I ever fell in love with.
And just over the years watching this this franchise and
how they work and how they rebuild. I wasn't here

(05:58):
through all the heartbreak, you know, in the seventies and eighties,
but I definitely have heard about it. But just how
this how this franchise rebuilds and how strong they are,
and I just.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I love it. It's a passion to me, strong.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
As they are. It's like the bond that kind of
is woven in between the Eagles fans. And you know,
you said you were born in sherry Hill, and my
whole piece tomorrow is you're born into it. You're born
into this. I mean, I guess you can transition into
it maybe if you come here and maybe your spouse
or whatever, but really you kind of have to grow
up living it from your adolescent years. And most of

(06:35):
the people out of the Eagles nest out there, are
they transplants from Philly? Are they kind of like, you know,
were they born into it?

Speaker 5 (06:43):
A lot of them, A lot of them are most
most are from the Philadelphia area. But there's a good
contingency of Minnesotan's that are Eagles fans just because they
see what we're doing, you know who they are to cheer.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Four out here. So a lot of a lot of
fans would jump ship.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
So weird they actually jump ship.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Maybe I don't know if I would say jump ship,
but like you said, spouses, my wife being one, she
was a Vikings fan, but she know she sees this
empire she's we've been together for ten years, so we've
been married for ten years. So we've been together for
fourteen now. So when we first got together, you know,
those were Chip Kelly days and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
But yeah, he's come to love the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
And then I just I do have friends that I
wouldn't say jump ship, but yeah, just they they.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Know what the Eagles are bringing and they don't want
to cheer for who they have out here.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Really, really, my son actually lived he still lives out
in Minnesota. He lives in Albertville, and he's actually going
to be in Philly. I fly out Thursday to go
pay them up my kids and bring them to Philly
because they're going to spend the weekend here and then
they typically spend the summers here. But Brooks is divided

(08:09):
as well. He's more Eagles than Vikings because of his
old man. But he's a huge Justin Jefferson fan, and uh,
I mean it's uh, he's really excited about this week
and he's actually we have a pending snowstorm storms should
I say coming, I know you have a storm right
now as we speak. But he's hoping that the parade

(08:31):
gets pushed a Friday, so he can go, We're pretty
confident over here. What about yourself, Mike.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
I mean the confidence is, how can you not be
with what we have on this team? I mean these
guys that that crew up front, those offensive line, how
about those boys up front and then the Saquon and
Jalen Hurts and I keep going and keep going a
j Davonte Dallas Gotter.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
You know, how can you not be confident?

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Got a tough opponent, But I don't I don't care
who the opponent would be.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
I just I'm very, very excited for these guys.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
That's great. That's what happened.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
What happens with the victory tomorrow? Where do you guys
all do at David Busters are dispersed, and I mean,
I'm not going to be like a huge contingent in
the streets of Minneapolis or what would be down Broad Street.
But what would you guys do if they win tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
You know, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
I'm gonna go back to twenty seventeen because there was
a big contingency here in Minnesota. We want it, well,
we wanted I mean, there was a lot of people
from Philly because we want it at that stadium.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Stadium.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Yep. So this this time, I don't know we're gonna
go crazy.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
It's so it's in a mall any diners, so you know,
hopefully we can take our fun outside of that mall.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Otherwise, Satown Mall Joe. That's the first mall ever in America.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Wo.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah. Yeah, they have outdoor walks, don't they, like in
Caston Glass.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yes, the city of Minneapolis as well as Saint Paul. Yeah,
they do have the skyways.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
I thought that was pretty cool. I when I was
there in twenty ten and the Eagles meat Minnesota and
left the Cardinals the following week, I thought that was
pretty cool. It's freezing out there, so you know, you
walk and see people walking like you know, in these
glass and casements across the streets from connecting Scott. It

(10:32):
was cool.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
It was Yeah, it's cool, but it's actually I mean, Mike,
would you agree. I mean, Minneapolis nobody walks the streets
anymore because they just go from building and building through
those skyways, so it leads to unfortunate, easier crime and
things of that nature. So as great as it is
for the winter time, it makes people lazy during the summer,

(10:54):
so at least that's what I remember from my ten
years there.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
So in the summertime, they'll go through the buildings too.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Oh yeah, yeah, it's just easier. It's just easier. So
but I don't know, it's Minnesota is one of the
gor It's probably the most gorgeous state during the summertime
by far, it's been. Yeah, it's just absolutely gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
So excited you excited, Mike? I mean, how's the tention,
how's the angsed? Where's the Where are the nerves? How
is the locker room over there? Man?

Speaker 5 (11:24):
It's I mean, they're on ten definitely. I'm supple eve
as I'm calling it. It's a holiday in the house,
you know, just so confident. And then I guess maybe
as game time gets closer to get the nerves will
start to build up. But I mean, for these last
two weeks, I've just been smiling. I've just been you know,
been grinning out here. I wanted to touch on how

(11:48):
much we are hated in Minnesota. We stole their destiny
in twenty seventeen, and we're so mean, and you know what, then,
like us, we don't care.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah, it was like thirty eight to seven. I mean,
come on, they weren't even It wasn't even much.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
Of a game, not even They forgot who their rivals
are here, they forgot that they hate Green Bay and
Chicago and whatever they hate.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
They even want a playoff game. Won fifteen games this
year and won a playoff game. How about that? Right?

Speaker 2 (12:22):
The only time I rooted for the Vikings was when
Randall was.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
On that team. I love it was on that team.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Too, just like he was an Eagle.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
But totally. Yeah, well, we appreciate you coming on, Mike.
You got you got a family, you got your crew
going with you tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Yeah, we got uh.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Actually, I think we're gonna let the little ones go
to Grandma's for the for the evening, So this is
gonna be just you know, they watch every game with us,
but I think this one's gonna be just for the adults.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Okay, good for you, man, you gotta final score for us.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
I think I'm gonna go U thirty four twenty eight birds, baby.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Gosh, I thirty five thirty four to twenty seven. Nice stuff,
Nice stuff, Mike.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Cool for pointing us man.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
Yeah, one thing before I go, Yeah, man, you gotta
blow the whistle, guys.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Blow that whistle. Nicely done, bro, Thanks guys. Thanks. I
appreciate it, all right, Mike. Good luck Bud birds birds
the birds take care Bud See. Yeah, awesome, that was cool.
I can't from Minneapolis joining us today. If he can, Uh,

(13:36):
I'm going to bring in Josh Stuart. Mike, if you
can act out yourself so I can bring in Josh.
I appreciate it, Powe, and good luck. Send us some
pictures if you can, if you have.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Ye, please do please still do it.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
We'll do that's great man post him. Thanks, pow see yeah, yeah,
all right, good stuff. We've got Josh Stewart coming in now.
Josh Stewart, he's in Utah, Utah.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Just one intrigued me. So it was it was interesting.
So all of a sudden, we'll shape up. Why Josh
joins us here? So I started seeing this thing come
across about Eagles of Utah and they have this big,
huge watch party, and I was just like, he hell
is there a ship town of Eagles fans out in Utah.
So I just took a crack Joe and started uh
making a comments, started putting the podcast in there and

(14:23):
we got a hold of Josh and both of us.
I'm sure we got a lot of questions in Utah.
Get me two.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
What's talking about?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Brother?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
How you doing?

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Man? I'm doing great. I'm great, great day being an
Eagles fan.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
What do you what do you got for us tomorrow?
You got you got your watch party? You an Eagles nester?
What's your group called?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
It's Philadelphia Eagles Fans of Utah. I just sent out
there on Facebook on my page that I was going
to be trying to host an Eagles party at this
place called Leatherheads in uh In Draper. It's like South
Salt Lake. Yeah, so I should I should be having
Like you know, I had a couple of phone calls
from some people that have got a hold of me

(15:05):
through the page, and then a bunch of my buddies
are gonna come out there. Should be I hope for
a big turnout, but so far I'm seeing like fifty
people or so. So far nice. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
So we just had Mike who runs the Eagles Nests
of Minnesota. He was on not roughly around the same number,
but you never know, I mean, you know, it's Eagles fans,
so we like to linger and eventually show up. So Josh,
tell me, So, were you originally from the Philadelphia area
and you moved to Utah or I'm not. I'm born
and raised here.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
I'm actually from a little town in the middle of
the state called Richfield, Utah, and nobody's ever heard of
I'm sure you know what I mean. And I moved
up to Salt Lake about fifteen years ago and this
is where I've been ever since.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Nice. So how did you become an Eagles fan?

Speaker 3 (15:51):
You know? Funny story. Eighth grade field trip. They took
us out into the East Coast. We went to d C,
New York, and phill just resonated with me, man, and
I loved everything about that city. Man, it just stuck
with me, you know what I mean. And so out
here we don't have a team. So you're either going
to be a Cowboys fan, You're gonna be a Denver

(16:12):
Broncos fan, or a Raiders fan. And I'm not doing
any of that. So I started watching, you know, about
ninety eight, ninety nine, around that time when after I
got back from Philly, when Doug e p was the quarterback,
and I loved the man, you know, I was a
diehard from then out from.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Then at why what attracted you to that team? Because
they were struggling right about then they would turning the
corner because Andy got there and then and Donovan McNabb
was drafted.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
But rough years in there there was, like I said,
the when I visited Philly, the people resonated with me.
I loved the atmosphere, everything about that city and everything
that's good comes from Philadelphia, man, from what I've seen
in my whole life. And plus, my brother's a cheese
head and he hated Philadelphia and that helped feel me too.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
So you had a little rivalry with him a couple
of weeks ago when Green Bay came to town.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yeah, yeah, he said, yeah, you're gonna lose. I have
to put you on Suicide Watch man, all that, all
that stuff. And I was like, dude, it ain't happening. Bro,
We're gonna put the Brits on you. And we did too.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Dude. They fumbled on the first play of the game, right,
I was laughing, one of four turnovers all the day.
That's great stuff, great stuff, man. So uh you excited?
How the angs, how's the nerves? What's the vibe?

Speaker 3 (17:31):
The vibe here is good man. I mean I have Well,
the last time we were in the Super Bowl against
the Chiefs, I got stuck at this house party with
a bunch of Chiefs fans. Dude, it was miserable and
they just kept throwing it at my face. And I'm
not doing that this year. I'm swarming that leatherheads with
as many Eagles fans as I can and we're gonna
we're gonna ball out for sure. Live's good.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
That's awesome. That's awesome. So Josh, what do you typically do,
Like what's your typical game day? Like, what do you
typically do? Like with which types of.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Food do you? Like?

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Give me a day of life an Eagles game for Josh.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Usually just sit at home and watch it on the TV.
I got the NFL ticket. I never miss a game,
like yeah, I mean, even if I have to work
on a Sunday, by random champs, I'll have it on
my phone, you know. And I started the page, you know,
trying to find maybe there's you know, ten twenty Eagles
fans in town. Maybe we can start getting together. And

(18:28):
then yeah, I started the page in twenty sixteen, and
then after that, like it started out slow, but like
the past like two years, it's just started blowing up.
I've got sixty seven hundred people that are that are
liking my page, and I realized not all of them
are that live in Salt Lake, and a lot of
them are from a you know, but still pretty mind

(18:48):
blowing to see that much support that, you know, come
out of Utah. There's a lot more than I thought
there was.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Yeah, yeah, it's crazy. I mean, it just it all
of a sudden, I started seeing your page pop up
on my feed and I was like, what is this?

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Yeah, I was wondering how you heard about it?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah, yeah, right, So, I mean it's funny. Joe and
I we're you know, we Joe has the history of
you know, being in this in this world, and we're
starting this and just going out and trying to find
emery way possible to get our name out there, right,
So it was exciting to see you come across, as
well as Mike from the Eagle's Nest, and to see

(19:26):
like some of your people that are in that group
that are actually taking the time to watch Joe and I.
So we really really appreciated it, and we wanted to
make sure that we brought you.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
On absolutely man, I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
It, absolutely appreciate your time.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Man.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Before we let you go, you got a prediction for tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Yeah, I think it's going to be. That's hard to say.
I want to say Eagles twenty eight, Chiefs seventeen.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
So eleven point victory and that old that'll preclude any
kind of Patrick you know, last minute heroics or at least
having the ball and you know, driving down the field
with less than a one score game in the fourth quarter.
So I'll take that. I don't know if I can
deal with that, angster. I mean, I've dealt with it before,
but I'd rather have an eleven point win fifteen point win.

(20:15):
But I mean the Chiefs, you know, they win these close.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Games, right, they pull it out somehow, Man.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
They do pull it out. They got they got players
that play, they elevate their game in crunch time, and
they got coaches that you know, they don't they're on flat,
but they don't flinch. Right, guys you've never heard of
and never will hear again of for in a couple
of years. Just make it play like where's Canarious Tony?
These days? You know, I had the longest punt return
in the history and out a touchdown on that corn
dog play and Giants cut them earlier in the year.

(20:42):
They just pick up guys. It doesn't matter you come in.
It's like put the fin stripes, you put on that uniform,
you play, It's already elevated.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Right right. I mean, I've been seeing around on social
media that like Jalen Carter might be questionable because he's
sick or something like that, and I was like, there's
no way he's mess.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
It was a full participant in practice. Yesterday's fine. He's
fine that he practiced. You know, I know there was
a thing going around, but I think it's all it's been.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, there's also been Joe, there was a rumor going around.
I heard it on the radio row that apparently they
might have been trying to keep him from the press.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
No, he's been in the league for a couple of years.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Hey, I'm just saying, that's the.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Most ridiculous thing. Every week he does does interviews.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I know, I know, I know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
He happened a couple of years ago, and he could
just just like poop. When Greg Olsen got to the
Super bowlth Carolina, they asked him about the seventh floor crew.
Remember that crew in Miami that made that song that
on the internet out there, And he just kind of
went like, yeah, I'm not talking about that.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
What do you guys here about today?

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Nice acting old man beg. I saw him with a beard,
he's got grays coming in and it looked like Uncle
reemas there. But if you can, now you can another
strip sack at a clutch time, let's do it right.
That was the same arm that he he hurt. Was
the same army strip Rady. Well, yeah, I just saw
Brady and Nick falls commercially that. It's cute. It's cute,

(22:15):
it's very good.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I haven't seen that, Josh to do yourself wait because
I was kind of bummed that I already saw it.
I would have rather waited to actually see it.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Durney, he popped up on my thing before I came
in the room.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
I was like, well, unfortunately, now it's gonna pop up
on Josh because we talked about it.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Oh yeah, yeah, it's pretty good. It's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Phone tomorrow then how about that?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Right?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah, no, it's it's it's good. I love that tom
has Like now he's like finally he acknowledged it. During
the game and you.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Can have fun with it. I mean he's having fun. Yeah, absolutely,
seven rings, you know it's it's he's fine.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Yeah, yeah, he's real good. One time, it was probably
about six seven years ago. It was Christmas Eve. We
were having our Christmas party here and me and my
brother ran out of beer, so we went to Walgreens
to get some more, and uh, guess who we bumped into?
The owner of the Patriots, Robert Craft was there.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Was there a massage power And you.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Know what was funny about that is he was there
with this chick and and we well we were like,
We're like, that's Robert Kraft. I'm like, no, it's not.
And I pulled it up on my phone. I'm like, no, way,
it is. That's him. You kind of we kind of
walked around the aisles and I'm like, hey, is your
name Robert Kraft. He's in Walgreens. There's a Bentley parked outside. Yeah,

(23:46):
I assume. I assume he was up here skiing or
something for the holidays or whatever. But there was this
chick with him, and she didn't seem too fond of
like being seen with him. And he's like, yeah, this
is this is my love blah blah blah, and we
were like, yeah, right on whatever, and she was like
kind of like she's like avoiding us and like looking
up stuff. Yeah, it was, it was. It was funny.

(24:07):
I got pictures of it too.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Oh boy, maybe she was already taken. Didn't want her
pictures showing up on the internet or something.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
That's good stuff like that a good story, I asked him.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
I was like, I was like, I was like, you know,
how sick everybody in the NFL is of Tom Brady, right,
it's just time for him to go. He was like, yeah,
keep hearing that.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
I was liked him in Philly. I got killed for
liking him in here. I just thought it was great
watching him play, as long as it wasn't against us.
Right when we took care of him, And I know
we got us in two thousand and was it three?
But we had to wait a while, but we got
ours another opportunity to take down a giant. Yeah, be

(24:55):
pretty would be pretty cool if they knock off Brady
and mahomes and twice eight years.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Well, it's gonna happen, man, there. There ain't gonna be
no three p I'll tell you that.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
I don't think so either. It's really hard to win one,
let alone three, and they've already won three and four years. It's,
you know, right, really tough to do. You know, everything
has to go right, one thing goes wrong, and now
you know what I mean, it's it's going to be
that close. You know, these games come down to a
few plays here or there, a few moments, doesn't fumble

(25:25):
the ball last time and the Eagles probably win.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Well, I'm just judging by the game that I saw
against Buffalo in the championship. Man, I mean, those calls
were insanely questionable.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
See. I like the fact that there's it's become a
thing and even Roger Goodell had to address it at
his press conference. So knowing it's out there, I'm not
sure if you know the you know, I think the
all eyes are on the refs. I think that might
work in the eagles favor.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
Yeah, I agree, I agree, because the whole world's gonna
be watching.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
The world is gonna be watching.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Even President Trump's going to be there.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Is Trump going to the game? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Maybe maybe? Yeah, that'd be sweet.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Who's doing halftime? By the way, I need to get
into that.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Kendrick Karho, Kendrick Klemar.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Okay, I saw them with the Grammys.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Okay, got yeah, do some Metallica, a CDs he or something?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
You know, I like where your heads at?

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Josh?

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah right, but hey, you guys gotta do me a favorite.
So I created a new drinking game tomorrow. Every time
the camera pounds the Taylor swift, you got to take
a shot.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Okay, do you know what they this is perfect? Do
you know what the over under is for prop bets
on how many times the network shows her?

Speaker 3 (26:45):
I would assume very high.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Take a guess.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
I would say they're going to tend to her at
least twelve thirteen times.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Then you should take the over because it's five and
a half. Really yeah five and a half? Yeah? Five?
And you know, to be honest, I gotta be asked
to be fair the amount of time she's on during
the game. And I know she gets hammered for this.
You know, everyone's like, not only were Chiefs fatigue, we're
Taylor Smith fatigue or Taylor Smith fatigue. She's only on

(27:15):
an average of twenty eight seconds per game.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Maybe you can that's a lot more than any sideline player.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Oh it is. Trust me, it is. She's a megastar.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Yeah, yeah, you can't hate on her for that, that's right.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
No, she's from actually she's round on the area from
reading that's like half hour away. Yep, all right, I'm
still a fan. But Josh, I'm still coming on bro.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
All right. Anytime I'll come back on, you will be
back on Bro.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Absolutely, Josh, appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Guys, you too. Take care.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Wait, I have a parley for you, Joe, and I
want to know if what you think of it true.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
I don't like holidays in general because those socker bats.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
But go ahead, all right, So this is ten dollars
bet wins one hundred and five bucks. Kwon Barkley. Yes,
anytime touchdown score Philadelphia Eagles plus one and a half
points spread Dallas Goddard over forty nine and a half
receiving yards Kareem Hunt over forty three and a half

(28:28):
rushing yards.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Absolutely not right. You have to win the game where
you lose the other three. You have to win the
side Eagles have to cover the spread. That's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Here's another one for you, sa Kwon Barkley anytime touchdown
Eagles plus one and a half Dallas Gardard forty nine
and a half, Patrick mahomes over one and a half
passing touchdowns ten. It's plus seven.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Hundred plus seven hundred. See Patrick Cutt doesn't throw a
lot of Well that's an interesting one. If it's plus
seven hundred, I'd consider that. How much do you have
to lay.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Down ten dollars win seventy?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Okay? Interesting? You still got to win. I was just
kind of God is what draws you in, and the
side is where they got you. Because you lose the side,
you lose everything else. Interesting? Can you be thinking about it?

Speaker 2 (29:30):
I was like, maybe we'll mess around, We'll pick one
of these parlays.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Do you have to pick their party? Can you do
your own? I don't know, you can do your own?
The probably probably what's that this is my first time?
They probably let you listen for ten bucks? Knock yourself out.
You know what I mean when I say there are
sucker bets and they're dangerous. I mean, if you're like,
you know, laying down like Charles Barkley, if you're if

(29:54):
your unit's like Charles Barkley's te't you that? But for
ten bucks? Ten bucks? Go have some on man? Right? Right? Yeah?
Because at the end of the day, so we got
three hours to root for all that stuff. That's that's
that's that's worth it.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Yeah, that's right, Joe. Before we go, give me your score.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
My score is Eagles thirty four, Chiefs twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
I have them Eagles thirty eight, Kansas City twenty four.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I like your score better. I would like to score
a lot better. To touchdown win Man because you thought
the Rams game was When was that you were o
before the Rams game? Yeah, this is tomorrow. I'm already
out of short.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
I was over for the Commanders.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
I'm sorry the Commander. That's right, the Commander game. You
get the NFC title game, and that actually got some
separation in the second half. We got there a little bit.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I just I don't know. I feel like that's what's
going to happen. I feel like the I think the
Eagles are gonna They're gonna there. The Eagles are going
to be the Eagles. It's going to be a close
game and going down.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
If it goes by the way that it usually goes,
it'll be close here and there, and they'll do some
things that'll make you pull your hair out. But then
you look up at the end of this end of
the game and they're up by like you know what
I mean, Like.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Yeah, it would have surprised me. Halftime it's twenty four
to twenty four.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Yeah, I can see that. I got to tell you though,
watch the coin flip. I think it's imperative for whoever
team wants to win or is going to win, that
they win the coin flip so they can defer. I
think getting the ball in the second half is really important.
In fact, if you are supposed to get the ball
in the second half and you do score first, the

(31:33):
odds are I think it goes up to sixty five
percent that you win the game. Wow, just getting that ball,
because you could you know, who knows what happens in
the first half. You might you might get the ball
at the very end of the half and score, and
then you get the ball at the beginning of the
second half. You might have a double you know, back
to back right there, right, So I think that's important.
Eagles one that lost the toss last time, they did

(31:54):
score first, and then Chiefs went right down the field
and scored and they were up ten and a half.
And the Chiefs got the ball in the second half
score when they got the ball. Of course, they scored
on every possession in the second half. I had to
put myself through watching the game again. It was on
I sat down this morning at my coffee, I turned
turned on NFL Network and there it is. There it is.

(32:15):
I had to had to sit through it, but I
did because I wanted to see some nuances. And I mean,
I've watched the game one thousand times and there's still
some good stuff to me, you know. But the whole
Greg Olsen went bananas when Bradbury got called for the hold.
You know, even went against Mike Pereira. It was the

(32:35):
official in the box and he said I got to hold.
He could, come on, Mike, that's that's in that situation,
you gotta kind of know where you are the room.
But it was a grab, and it was a hold.
Normally in a normal game they might have called it.
I wouldn't be really killing anybody, and I still was,
because yes, it was the only holding call of the

(32:56):
game from a defensive secondary standpoint, but it was a hold.
It's hard to argue that, you know what I mean,
Like everyone they hold on every play, Well, show me
the other plays then, because I don't know that. I'm
sure it happens a lot, but this one play, and
maybe they threw it because it was such a critical play,
you know what I mean, instead of saving it. Hey,

(33:18):
this is this is really an important play. We're not
going to let something go here. Yeah, So I don't
think you would have caught the ball anyway. It was overthrown.
But and I got a lot of people texting me
and hitting me up that well it was uncatchable. Well
guess what. You can only call an uncatchable on an
interference call and a holding call. You cannot. It's not

(33:40):
a it's not an option for the reps. So just
know that going into tomorrow. And they had six penalties
in that game three only Chiefs only had three. They
had double penalties and the Chiefs had just saying not
you know. And but the bigger penalty in that game
was Isaac say Malu on a fourth and one push
push when the Eagles were driving up seven gets called

(34:00):
for legal procedure moving back fourth and sixth now and
then Jalen fumble because they didn't couldn't do the toush bush.
There's talk. Now. I don't know if you saw that
that they're they're going to review it this this this
off season and see they might look to get rid
of the toushbush again.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, it doesn't surprise me.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
I could see them. I could see him.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Splitting really really well.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
So I could see him splitting the baby and saying,
you could you're allowed to do it twice in a
game or something like that, or not at all, because
I've also seen some experts upond and say that they
won't they won't get rid of it. But a lot
of it has to do with listen, it's a television show.

(34:40):
Football is a television show. Baseball is a television show.
They've changed rules to make the game look better. Look
the shift, Why can't you why can you not put
all the guys on one side of the field in baseball?
You didn't break any rules, right because they didn't want
to see Bryce Harper lying now to you know, the
right fielder all the time, or you know, they want

(35:01):
to see him. They want to see that ball in.
He wants to go to the corner. They want to
see him, you know, hit for average, drive runs in.
They get rid of things that are kind of anti
progressive to the game. That's the only reason I think
they would get rid of it is it's unesthetically pleasing. Yeah, no, absolutely,
I mean I love it because it's like almost almost.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Automatic, I mean pretty. I mean it's funny, it's it's interesting.
So that game was on last sent when it Michelle.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
It's been on for like two weeks and.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Watching the touch push and seeing how much yards chairman
was actually diving more than was digging deeper.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Sometimes sometimes that goes for three yards.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Yeah, and he was picking up a lot of yards.
So it doesn't surprise me. Like I said, there's one
team that does it really really well and they use
it a lot because they do it really really well well.
So I mean it doesn't shock me. It doesn't. It
is what it is. I mean, whatever you want to
take that away, fine.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Well it's pretty important to the team. They've gotten a.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Lot absolutely, But I mean you know, luckily they're not
going to be taking it away tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Yeah, they still have it for tomorrow. Yeah, so you
should be good there. Although I've seen them fumble the
snap a couple of times through a few years, like
like gotta be careful on that and don't jump no,
like was Lane Johnson jumped against the Rams when that game.

Speaker 7 (36:30):
Could have been put away earlier. Yep, gotta be up here,
game man, it's gonna be to What's I think? I
think it's gonna be a good game. I keep on
going back to what Rick said, where Rick is going
to allow like one mistake, one interception.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
That's about right, so it's.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Going to hurt him. So yeah, I just yeah, I
feel confident. I feel very very good with the you know,
thirty eight twenty four. I think it's going to be
tight in the beginning, but then I think eventually the Eagles,
you're gonna play their game. They're gonna wear them down,
and they're gonna you know, and it wouldn't shock me
if they score one offensive touchdown and then like Patrick's

(37:09):
driving down and it's an interception to run it back.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I thought about that. I thought of that too. That
hasn't happened since two Christmases ago when the Raiders had
to pick six against them. But I'm seeing it on
a late drive. I told you, maybe a ball gets
tipped up and either Bond or Blanket Ship comes down
with it.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
I see, I'm gonna go with the Cooper de jene
H pick six.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Oh, I'd love to see that.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
I came across and love to see Quinnon Mitchell. Yeah,
I don't care because then we'll have to get g
on immediately.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Right exactly, Remember what I said he did?

Speaker 2 (37:50):
You know, well what he's got two interceptions in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
So he does. He doesn't. Yeah, they their nose you
around the ball, and they've been talked to how to
strip and how to tackle and you know, fly to
the ball. So it's gonna be I think it's gonna
be a good game. And I agree if they play
Eagles football. They don't know to be perfect, but they
do wear teams down. They do wear teams down, and

(38:14):
eventually Barkley may have a very pedestrian game, but every
time he gets the ball, there's a threat of him
getting past the first line. He's gone. Yep. He does
a lot in the second half too, when they see
they won't. They don't use him a ton in the
first half and maybe feel out the Chiefs a little bit,
maybe throw some Jalen in there, do some things you
don't expect. So then the second half you don't exactly

(38:36):
know what's coming. But I think everyone one knows what's coming.
You're gonna get a decent taste of twenty six in
the second half.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
I'm excited too. Great week of stuff, Bro, I'll.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Put you as well. It was a lot of fun,
a lot of fun. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I'm gonna put this up on YouTube and audio and
Apple and Spotify right now.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Bro, so you yeah, and then I I got to
put last night's show, so I'll put you up.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Okay, Bro, good luck. I'll be texting you during the
game and go Birds, Go Birds. All right, appreciate you
folks for watching. We'll talk to you on the other side.
