Ep. 29: She Realized Her Potential When She Surrendered Her Desire

More than a year ago, Dannica allowed me to facilitate a Memory Weaving session for her. Coming in to the session, she set her intention…..to realize her fullest potential. Her Soul led the way through memories and hurt she had carried most of her life. The very thing that needed to be eliminated within her was fully illuminated, and with the guidance of the infinite intelligence within her, she rewrote the memory (or data) she had been carrying and embodying for years. She was now set on a path of embodying her innate worthiness. That single moment in time shifted her entire trajectory, only it didn’t come immediately. Instead, true to the sovereign and gracious nature of God within us, it happened moment by moment, over the course of several months.

Dannica began making plans of her own, interpreting for herself how she would reach her “full potential”, but God’s plan was already in motion. It reminds me of the scripture that says…”Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Your ego has an idea about potential while your Soul says…let me EXPRESS it, I don’t need to achieve it.

She prayed that she would realize her full potential, and had no idea what her prayer would require or how her answer would take shape.

This conversation is revealing what transpired in that session and all that unfolded in the months that followed. It turns out, the most unlikely path was exactly the direction God was leading.

There may be dreams you’ve long held and desires you’ve lamented might never come to fruition. Often times it is simply an unwillingness to look at how we are the only ones holding back our good because of deep seated beliefs left unchecked. Surrendering your desires, dreams, and plans is not about abandonment, but about releasing what you’re holding, to the One who gave you the desire to begin with. Relinquishing your dreams to the Order and Excellence of God, the Divine Power within you, is the only certainty that your dream will come to life with great ease and harmony. And realizing your fullest potential? Well, God’s response might surprise you in the most delightful way.
