(05:58):
Now that, Conway, let's talk about your very first Christmas album.
I love to I understand that you've been thinking about
a Christmas album for a long time. I have, you know,
I have.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
All the years I've been this business, I have never
recorded a Christmas album. Waiting to do a what I
consider a special Christmas album and do it with the
twity Bird and all the little characters that you hear
throughout this album. This album is fifty four minutes long.
It's got eighteen songs in it, plus all the interludes
and all the little characters that you hear. It's very

(06:32):
unique and different and I'm real proud of it. Took
us nine months to record this album and to do it?
When did you first start working on it? Last December
the fourteenth, and we finished up in the latter part
of August, and we never looked up. Is it hard
to keep to stay in the Christmas mood when you're
in August?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Well it should be.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
But the enthusiasm that went into this thing in December,
we never lost it. Nobody ever lost it. The different
people that worked on it down through the months were
familiar with what we were doing. Everybody was excited about it.
They thought they were onto something special, and uh, we
never lost it.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
It stayed there. Conway, you've been recording for some years.
Why why did you wait so long to do a
Christmas record? You could have done a single, could have
I just I just wanted to make it special. Christmas
is special, and the image of Christmas is special. The

(07:30):
real part of Christmas is special. I don't take that lightly.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I put a lot of thought into it over the years,
and and and and just gradually this concept uh came
to me. And but the main thing is that timing
has got a lot to do with with the with
any record, and it's been a long time since someone

(07:57):
did a concept album like this.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
For Christmas. This is a story. Yeah, it's a storybook album.
What is the story.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
The story is that Santa Claus invited the Twitty Bird
and I to the North Pole to his home, Toyland Town.
And when the album starts, we land at the slave
Port and meet to the little dish jockeyl f Emery,
and then we go right on to Santa's workshop and
and it's a tour through Toyland Town as a guest

(08:27):
of Santa Claus and all of his little helpers up there.
And it's there's fifty four minutes of it. It's super
all right. Now we're going to go to nine Little
Rain Deer.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Well, Twitty Bird and I talk about this before the song,
and h the Twity Bird, I told the toty Bird,
I guess boys and girls out there all over the
world you know or know that Santa Claus is coming
to town. But I wonderfully I know how he gets there.
And some little kids don't really know how Santa Claus
gets there. And Twitty Bird says, well, I know, you know,
and tells him about there in the sleigh and all that,

(09:01):
and I said, yeah, but you know, I remember one
time when I was a little boy, my dad told
me a story about some problems that Santa Claus had,
and the nine Little Reindeer tells the story of how
Rudolph was missing and Santa Claus couldn't couldn't do what
he was trying to do. And that's the story of
Santa Claus and his problems with Rudolph.

Speaker 9 (09:27):
D boy.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Timely, I'm sure as everyone could be here in Toyland
Town with us. It's even better than in my dream.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, I know, Twitty Bird, and it sure was nice
of old Santa Claus to invite us up here to
his home. And by now, boys and girls out there
all know that Santa Claus is coming to their town.
But I wonder if they know how he gets there.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
He has a big red knife and nine time Reindeer. Well,
they take Santa Claus in a big buy the toys
the girls in voice had over the world.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That's right, Twitody Bird. And he always makes it too,
but sometimes he runs into a little trouble and things
go wrong. Why I remember this one story and my
dad told me a long long time ago, A long
long time ago. That's all you folks should know. Old
Satas started loading up his slave, a smile upon his face.

Speaker 9 (10:28):
Each reindeer took his.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Place to bring the children joy on Christmas Day. With
one little two, little three little reindeer, poor little five,
little six little reindeer, seven little light yes say, little
reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh. There's Dasher Dancer, come it, cep it,

(10:50):
But there's one little reindeer missing.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Rudolph is his name.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
For a long long time, he hits stuff nine to
make this Christmas ride.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
In.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Santa Claus sat down and cried. With one little two,
little three little reindeer, four little five, little six little reindeer,
seven little late yes say, little reindeer pulling Santa slave. Hey,

(11:25):
look who's coming. It's been a year since we've been here,
and how the time it goes?

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Just chin it up.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
There's one little two, little three little reindeer, full little five,
little six little reindeer, seven little late yes, nine little
reindeer pull inside a slave and the very merry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Well you've heard Conway, Twitter and Friends with nine little reindeer.

(12:31):
Up next on the Ralph Emery Show, he's back again.
Here's Rodney Millsap.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
You can tell her.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
That you love her.

Speaker 10 (12:43):
A hundred devent ways.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
But it won't mean as much.

Speaker 9 (12:53):
It's just the right.

Speaker 5 (12:58):

her all, little Kay, really show her you mean what
you say. It's not.

Speaker 10 (13:21):
Just to tell her you love her.

(16:43):
I got a geno archery pistol, you know, for Christmas pistol,
and the holster with a beautiful rose colored.
