We explore the problematic trend of people using religious scriptures as weapons against one another instead of as tools for love and enlightenment.

• Religious debate has become divisive and competitive, especially on platforms like YouTube
• Many religious families struggle with respectful dialogue about different beliefs
• Using scripture out of context to attack others contradicts the core message of love
• Confrontational approaches to faith discussions create division rather than unity
• Most religious texts across traditions emphasize brotherhood, not division
• We should demonstrate faith through actions rather than arguments
• Leading with love and understanding allows for genuine spiritual growth
• The ultimate goal should be enlightenment, not proving others wrong
• True religion should bring people together rather than separate them
• We are all brothers and sisters regardless of which faith tradition we follow

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Guys, welcome back to the Real Spill, where the spill
can get too real.
On today's episode, we're goingto talk about Christianity
versus everything, or everythingversus Christianity, or love
versus religion.
That's the topic Love versusreligion.
Let's jump right into this.
I have been sitting around, andyou know, on the search for

(00:21):
Christ and it's weird because Iguess when you jump on this
journey, right, excuse me it'sbecause there's something inside
, something inside of you isbecoming so big it can't contain
itself, or it feels like it'sgoing to just like bust out of
your chest.
Or some say it's the feeling, like, of him calling on you, the

(00:43):
seed being planted.
You feel convicted, right.
So for me, that, what tells methat, since the word says that
that he's inside of you, right, like your body is the temple and
God is inside of you.
And we're just going to usethose two things.
If God is inside of you, why doI need you to search?

(01:03):
So we're going to touch on that, the idea or the topic of when
you go searching for God.
You will find it, because Ithink that is like a really deep
topic, for lack of better words, you know.
So check it out.
On this search, you go todifferent churches, you visit
friends' churches, you pick upnew books, you watch new

(01:26):
programs.
You do whatever you can toeducate yourself, right?
Think of questions.
You Google them, you YouTubethem and along the way, I have
this situation where everyone inmy family is a different

(01:48):
religion.
I know so.
We have Jehovah's Witnesses, wehave Muslims, we have Baptists,
we have Christians.
We all question one another, right, and we try not to.
We try to ask each other thesequestions with love, but are we,
are we asking these questionswith love, or are we asking

(02:09):
these questions with ourulterior motive?
Whatever the word, is that word, ulterior motive?
Are we asking these questionswith malice or hatred or some
kind of derogatory feelingbehind it?
Right?
So check it out.
There are all these channelsacross YouTube where there are
Jehovah's Witnesses versusMormons and Mormons versus

(02:30):
Christians and Christians versusMuslims and Muslims versus
Hinduism.
And why is there so many versus?
I mean, is this like a rap show?
Now we have taken this secularthing to a whole new level and
as a Christian, it makes mequestion myself.
I'm watching all of theseprograms where a Christian

(02:52):
versus a Muslim and they arecombating one another with Bible
verses, and at first I waswrapped into it.
I'm like, oh yeah, come on,brother, bring it on home, prove
your point.
And I watched these programs acouple of times down the
Jehovah's Witness rabbit hole, the Mormon rabbit hole, the cult
rabbit hole, the Christianrabbit hole, the Catholic rabbit

(03:14):
hole, the Muslim rabbit hole, and there's like all these weird
channels like One MessageFoundation, carlogic, apologia
Studios, testify and so forth.
Right, these people are makingcontent off of weaponizing the
scriptures and they say it'slike an all good, but it is not.

(03:35):
You're not informing, you'renot enlightening, you're not
sharing faith, hope or love.
But more so, it comes out withmalice and disdain because you
are embarrassing me, you arebelittling me, you are telling
me that my search to find has novalue, that it doesn't stand on
anything.
So now I, in turn, must digdeep quickly, because I am on

(03:59):
the clock here.
You feel me, I am on atimetable, you have asked me a
question and I think the wholeconcept of putting our brothers

(04:27):
and sisters on the spot andquestioning their faith and
their understanding of theirfaith is more harm than good.
It is not giving meenlightenment or peace or
understanding.
It is not dropping the seed inme that is being watered and
grown into love and light andunderstanding, but rather
disdain, malice, anger andhatred that someone would do

(04:51):
that to me and then not evenallow me the opportunity to
defend myself or my love for myGod or my religion.
So the question is, if we takescripture and separate them,
what is that?
What is it called?
Because I don't believeanywhere did Jesus use a
scripture and weaponize itagainst anyone.
He didn't allow his prophets totake the scriptures and
weaponize it against anyone, butrather show love and the

(05:15):
understanding that God has foryou.
So, my brothers and my sisters,I ask you when you take
scriptures and you separate them, what is it called?
Is it like when we have excuseme another and we say no, no, no
, no, no, you're taking thecontent out of context.
Are we choosing to take contentand weaponize it for more
content, or to fuelself-gratification or your own

(05:39):
self-doubts, to fill you up andnot to fill up others?
Are you using it to lovethyself or are you using it to
love thy neighbor as you lovethyself and your God?
I hear this and it breaks myheart.
It literally makes me breakdown with sadness that I would
dare have to defend my God,something that is good, holy and

(06:01):
pure, something that isconsistent, something that you
can't even wrap yourunderstanding around.
So how dare you make me?
Try to make you understand?
Why are we weaponizing religionand scriptures against one
another?
Because the scriptures haveshown us repeatedly what the
outcome is of trying topersecute and condemn and judge

(06:23):
a brethren.
If we separate the books of theBible, what is that called?
If we take these books from theBible or we withhold these
books from the Bible and wecreate our own, what are you
doing?
Brothers and sisters?
I don't know myself, but I knowwhat it said.
I know if I think about it andhurt, I know my father does.
The time and time, over andover, the Bible has shown us

(06:47):
repeatedly how numerous ofnations and generations have
chose to praise and worshipdifferent gods and what the
outcome has been.
We're so busy trying to forceone another to understand one
another instead of loving eachother so that we may understand.
The whole thing should be aboutattraction rather than

(07:10):
promotion the way you carryyourself, the way you speak, the
way you treat others, the wayyou treat yourself, the way you
treat your family, the way youtreat your adversaries, whether
people call you fools or lessinformed, naive, crazy, whatever
it is you individually aresupposed to represent the God of

(07:30):
your understanding.
It is not your job or my job tomake each other understand one
another's God, but to show youwhat God has done for me.
So my job is to show the goodnews, and not to just share the
good news, but to show you thegood news, no matter what you
say or you do to me.
It is not my job to judge youor condemn you or pass judgment

(07:54):
or wrath or even vindication, orwhether to love you through
that.
But whatever it is that we'regoing through, through that
Because, as your God said, I am,and if he is, then it doesn't
matter.
So why are we so busy trying tomake it matter?
Are you really gaining?
Because a man that builds uphis wealth builds up what?

(08:15):
So when you lay down at night, are you filled with wisdom and
understanding?
That encourages you, or do youstay up all night in turmoil
with plans and plots, schemesand scams?
If we're using the scripturesagainst one another, what is
that?
Truly baffled and I'm trulyhurt.
We're running up on one anotherand threatening them because

(08:37):
their personal space feelviolated.
You run up on them, attackingtheir character and their God.
You're attacking their wisdom, their courage and their
understanding.
You're not instilling faith andunderstanding and I'm not here
to judge them or condemn them.
I'm just here to share myopinion and my feelings on how
this is causing more harm thangood, harmed than good.

(09:08):
And will your God truly beproud of you?
Because at the end, we're allgoing to be judged.
We're all going to the sameplace, the good, the bad and the
ugly, for the day of judgment, and the not so pretty and the
pretty.
We will all be in the sameplace.
As we go through our Bibles, wetake scriptures and we utilize
them to make a person understandor feel Like.
Last week, I spoke on Job and Iwas only so passionate about it

(09:29):
because I had been hearingeverybody use Job on YouTube.
Everyone's on YouTube andthey're talking about the
testimony and how good God wasto them, and not reminding the
people or sharing with them theactual trial that they had went
through.
Because we're suffering now,we're hurting now, we are
attacking one another withscriptures.
We're robbing people of faith, love and hope with scripture.

(09:52):
We're dismantling faith withscripture.
Do you guys understand that?
So today it's not about callingout people or calling out false
prophets or any of those things.
It's about sharing God's wordlove, faith, discipline,
obedience, basic instructionsbefore leaving earth.
It's just very basic.

(10:13):
These stories repeat themselvesover and over in everybody's
books Mormon books, koran Torahand Hinduism.
Mormon books, koran Torah andHinduism.
The Koran states believers arebut brothers.
According to Fondation Oasisright, believers are but
brothers.
He made our friendship betweenyour hearts so that you became

(10:35):
as brothers.
Like what are we not getting?
I believe his name is likeSharamad Bhagavad.
I don't know, I'm not good withall of these words.
Sharamad Bhagavad.
I don't know, I'm not good withall of these words.
Sharamad Bhagavad Gitasomething, a universal soul
resides in everyone.
We are brothers and sisters.
Regardless if God created man,we are brothers and sisters.

(10:55):
So again, I ask you, my brothersand sisters, truly, why are we
weaponizing the scriptures?
You can't tell me that we'renot.
We're so busy trying to makepeople understand right that
you're no longer delivering amessage.
You are now the mess.
You are not spreading the wordabout the end times.
You are the end times Becausemy God promised me eternal life.

(11:17):
Let's not keep people from thechurch.
Can we spread the good news.
Seek and ye shall find when Iknock.
Answer.
Please be weary.
Be weary in what you choose tosay.
The biggest thing he said tokeep your tone People are
running out to schools to learntheology and this and that and
all of that to learn God.

(11:38):
To learn God to know God is tolove, and he is already within
you, practicing obedience, steadfast in his word and
keeping his commandments.
Despite how they make you feel, despite what you're going
through, despite thecircumstances, despite the
trials, keep my commandments.
So, whether you're mad oryou're upset, you're burdened.

(11:58):
You got heavy trials on yourback.
That does not give you theright to love, to disregard my
faith.
Tell me that the word that I ambelieving in is not right
because you chose to take onescripture and use it against me.
You're weaponizing content, notthe context.
It is a whole, as God, jesusand the Holy Spirit is a whole.

(12:21):
We separate things to weaponizethings, but my God gave us
himself in a whole and itdoesn't matter who and who
doesn't choose to acknowledgethat.
If you love your God, whichrepresent love, unity, peace,
hope, faith, then that's what weshould be practicing all the
days of our lives.
It doesn't matter if you'regoing through a trial.

(12:43):
We need to speak freely and holy, holy, holy, not as you need to
get out what you need to say,but you only need to be free of
the word.
Speak free of the word andnothing else.
It is not my responsibility totell you anything other than
what God has said, and it is inthe scripture, whichever
scripture.
So, when we deliver thesemessages, why are we not

(13:05):
practicing?
I hope you understand that, Ihope you perceive it and if you
do not, I love you.
My brothers and sisters, I'mnot here to preach, but I am
here to share God's love andGod's understanding and God's
wisdom, and we don't need toweaponize scriptures to do so.
We should not be separatingourselves.
I don't understand why we feelas if we need to separate

(13:28):
ourselves because we're wearingblue shirts, yellow shirts, red
shirts.
It's crazy how we wouldseparate ourselves in religion,
right?
Because I'm Baptist or you'reKojic and you're Muslim, you're
white, I'm black, you're Asian,I'm Hispanic, you're Latino, I'm
Mexican, you're Australian,you're Canadian, you're

(13:48):
Ukrainian.
Know, I'm Mexican, you'reAustralian, you're Canadian,
you're Ukrainian, you're German.
What's that?
Russian?
What is the difference betweenthe religions?
You're tall, I'm short.
Some call it a perfect height, some are thick, some are thicker
than others, some are small, some are smaller than others.
So what's up with the religion?
Hatred will find itself anywhere.
We condemn people for beingshort.
We condemn people for being tootall.
We condemn people for havingbig feet.

(14:10):
We condemn people for beingbrown.
We condemn people for beingblack.
We condemn people for beingwhite.
We condemn people for being red.
Like where does it stop?
Because you guys have taken ittoo far, putting words on it
like body shaming.
No, you're being ugly While I'mjust this.
No, you're being ugly.
I'm a Leo.
No, you're being ugly.
So why don't we just stop beingugly and start being kind?

(14:33):
Words that you are preaching, which are God's words through
many of prophets, through manyof leaders, and you use them
with a vile tongue.
You utilize them with your ownmessage behind them Contempt.
There's no way that you cantell me that you run out here on
the streets and chase peopledown.
I don't even care if theyvolunteered.
You spring questions on themthat God hasn't even answered

(14:56):
for them yet, but you dare askthem.
Take some time to ask yourselfthese things before you go
questioning your brethren, because it is your job to
enlighten your brethren.
It is your job to love yourbrethren.
It is your job to protect anddefend your brethren.
It is not your job to say, hey,you slapped me in the face so
let me slap you back in the face, or I just learned something

(15:16):
new, so I'm so excited, I'mgoing to beat you down with it.
I'm going to rob you of all ofyour morals, your ethics and
your dignity and your principles, because I have just been
enlightened.
Because if I led with love, then the one thing I would want
to do is enlighten, and ifyou're not enlightened, I
wouldn't want to bring you downand I wouldn't want you to bring
me down.
I would like to go on.
I would like to be able to grow, to be better and if I am on

(15:43):
the search, I would like theopportunity to be able to search
freely and wholly, with goodintent, with a pure heart, not
because I am angry, sad and mad,not because I feel left out,
not a part of forgotten, becauseultimately, you're telling me
that my God has forgotten me andthat he has chosen you.
We are all God's chosen people, whether we like it or not.
It is our jobs to disciplineourselves for one another so

(16:06):
that you may be presentable andacceptable to your God, which is
holy, and the only requirementof you is to choose that.
So are we choosing that?
My brothers and sisters, if wetake scriptures and separate
them, are we practicing God'slove?
Do you find that as a part ofweaponizing scriptures?
And then why are we judging forthe separation of books?

(16:28):
Seeking, you shall findknowledge is key.
Whether we choose these thingsare not enlightenment, honey.
Choose enlightenment.
Let's stop condemning oneanother by choosing to educate
and enlighten and share.
Stop taking content out ofcontext and weaponizing it for
our own personal gain, our ownpersonal good.
And you say how do you get that?
It's self-worth, it'sself-esteem You're adding to

(16:51):
your bank.
Every single time you do that, even though I would disagree too
sometimes, because I wouldassume, as a human being, when
you lay down at night, therotten smell of the
demoralization of your beingshould be stinking.
But if not, I'm not here tojudge you, I'm just here to say

(17:15):
please be better.
Thank you, guys for tuning into another episode of the Real
Spill.
Where we spill the real, wedon't worry about what others
really have to say, becausegreater are we in him than we
are in this world.
Thank you, good night and peace.
