Well, if your brain's connectedto your ears and you're laying
down on railroad tracks, it'stime for the earworm express.
And finally, we are down to thebottom of my list for wacky

(00:23):
activities, collections andthings to do outside when you
can't afford a gaming computer.
How about knife throwing?
The practice and art ofthrowing knives at targets
Self-explanatory item explainsitself.
My actual preference is for axethrowing Lots of fun and you
can get some whoomp and heft ona good throw.

(00:45):
You can think of it as a stressrelief, an actual axe throwing
range.
They have nice targets that arepainted on wood.
Use those.
How about collecting pet rocks?
Collecting and caring forordinary rocks as if they were
pets?
Of course, I think they mightbe painting them up too.
That's the pet rocks I had as achild.

(01:07):
Hey, didn't the guy whoinvented pet rocks make like a
billion dollars?
Bottle cap collecting Collectingbottle caps, various beverages
to create art or displays.
Now, if you take a look throughthe internet, google Images,
there are some really cooldisplays.

(01:27):
People took a lot of time andeffort and definitely made art
that looks way better than someof the stuff hanging in the, if
you think about it, bottle capcollecting morphed into
collecting AOL CDs and peoplecreated art and displays from
those.

(01:48):
Now, if you can't or don't havethe space for bottle caps or
AOL CDs, you can try hairballcollecting.
Yes, people collect hairballs, often from pets.
So at the local off-leash dogparks some people brush out
their long hair dogs and whenwe're at the dog park we see
these giant hair balls and go,somebody detonated their doggy,

(02:13):
as there seems to be enough hairto build one or two of your own
dogs.
Surprise more people who arepet free and live in pet free
establishments.
Don't go there and sew togethertheir own dog plushie.
And now we get to somethingthat's the lowest form of humor

(02:35):
Competitive punning, engaging inpun-offs and competitions.
I did try and start a pun-hatingclub, but it just felt like
punishment.
This one, I thought, was just arace involving rolling cheese
wheel down a hill.

(02:56):
It's a quirky tradition heldannually somewhere in England.
Participants race down a steephill chasing a wheel of cheese.
It's a wild and wacky spectaclethat attracts people from all
over the world, and yet I don'tsee any of my Facebook reels.
Come on, people, start postingthis stuff.

(03:16):
Extreme croquet, playingcroquet in extreme conditions,
like on ice or in a desert, so Igot to imagine the tagline for
this one is visit wild andexciting places and play with
your big balls while strokingyour wooden hammer.
And finally, competitive eatingContests involving consuming

(03:38):
large quantities of food in ashort period.
My childhood we called thisexact event sunshine pizza
exchange, in honor of the placewhere it was practiced.
Wow, after talking about all ofthose activities, the stuff I'm
into doesn't seem so wacky.

(03:59):
I went scuba diving and got mylicense because I could.
I went bungee jumping 20 timesin one day because I could.
I learned how to fly privateairplanes and my instruction was
under Wally Olson at EvergreenAirfield, vancouver, washington.
And my instruction was underWally Olson at Evergreen

(04:20):
Airfield, vancouver, washington.
Mad props and love to him andthe Evergreen Airfield.
I learned on Taylor Crafts, which are tail draggers, and
Cessna 150s, which are tricycles.
Don't get me started about thepeople who had bumper stickers
that said trikes are for kidsand tail draggers are for those
who can't walk.
Let's see.

(04:49):
Also for fun giggles andcommunity service.
I did get certified for FEMA'scommunity emergency response
team out of Clackamas in Oregonand also because of my interest
in community service and support.
I took the Red Bend WashingtonCitizen Police Fire Academy,
which was really cool because Igot to experience the firearm

(05:09):
training simulator where they doa branching DVD story back then
and you have a gun that's wiredup to the big life-size screen
and it takes you through a shootor no shoot decision.
So if you shoot then it's goingto track on the video where you
shot at and then they go backframe by frame and you have to

(05:33):
explain your decision.
That's rough but I'm glad I didit.
Anyway, thank you for comingback 21 times in a row for the
Scotty Don't X Show.
This episode was recorded 12miles away from my Jack Russell
Rat Terrier Australian catalog,so no animals were hurt during
