In today’s episode of The Stories That Sparkle, Shelley shares about a time in her late 30s when a confluence of major changes (including a serious health situation) hit her all at once and how, twenty years later, she chooses to keep it simple. Shelley is a survivor who has learned how to live every day. And I won’t lie, this conversation was, at times, hard for me and brought up some active vulnerabilities.
Which brings me to a brief content warning: This episode includes discussion of relationship/mental abuse and miscarriages. Please take care of yourself and, if needed, skip listening to this episode.
And, if you feel/felt unsafe for any reason in a relationship, please know that you are not alone. Below are some links to resources available to you for help. Of course, you can always reach out to me: hellarader@substack.com and I will do my very best to connect you with the help you want or need.
If you do choose to listen, please know that today Shelley is living her best life—her way.
