He also tells the incredible story of how his casting in Superman was accidentally announced to his colleagues at the same moment they won an Emmy. McDonald talks about his history with James Gunn and how he was approached for his role in Superman. McDonald also opens up about feeling "imposter syndrome" on set and describes the moment he realized he was in the hair trailer next to David Corenswet, the new Superman.
