Well… that’s a wrap on Season 1 of The UNTOLD Podcast.

In this episode, Ash and Chris reflect on what it really took to get to this point, from finding their feet in front of the mic, to learning how to actually bring value to every episode. Oh, and yes… Des has left the building. No bad blood, just a new chapter.

We talk honestly about what’s worked, what hasn’t, and why we’re now doubling down with a clearer mission, a better studio, and a brand-new Season 2 coming soon.

Expect five core themes going forward:
 💬 Mental Resilience
 📈 Growth
 🧠 Identity
 🎯 Purpose
 🏡 Real Life

This is more than a podcast. It’s a space to say the stuff most people don’t — and figure things out together.

Thanks for rocking with us. Season 2 is gonna hit different.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, everybody, welcome back to the final
episode of season one on theUntold Podcast.
Chris, we got some news from, haven't we, what's happened?
We're a man down, we're a mandown, we're a man down.
Dez has gone to focus on hisown things.
Dez has got his own commitmentsthat he needs to focus on and

(00:22):
me and Chris really want to pushthis podcast because we believe
in it and it's been 20, 28episodes I think we've gone live
with now.
It's quite a few episodes to befair.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I didn't realize that you don't.
I don't count them, I justlisten to it.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
It's only because I do the uploading and see them.
And it's, but yeah, it's beenhard though, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah, it's been tough to be fair and it I do get why
Des has stepped aside to totallyget it.
You know, we need to put moreeffort into it, and me and Des
haven't put much effort into it,to be fair, you know, I've
obviously gone full time onTikTok now, which allows me to
have eight hours a day theirtime, so so I've got a lot of

(01:02):
free time.
So I, you know I'm I'm morethan happy to really sort of go
balls deep, should we say yeahum, and put the effort in.
So it's just, uh, it's been muchharder than I thought it would
be to be fair and it's I thinkit's because we've been trying
to find our way as well, um,which I I hope the discussion
that we've had today, we'regonna kind of find our way now.

(01:24):
It sounds very promising andquite exciting.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, I think we always said, when we sat down
and did this podcast, theoriginal meeting, that we all
had.
The original vibe was let'sjust talk about life.
The internet doesn't need moreinfluencers, it needs more
people who are honest, and I'mreally passionate about this,
and I think you are too, andwe've got some wicked guests

(01:49):
lined up for season two alreadyyeah, I mean only take only
taking you about three days tosort that out.
So we've got some wicked guestsfor season two.
Um, but just watching youremember the first time you sat
in that chair to do a podcast.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, man.
And you were like I'm not sureI'm going to be any good at this
.
I sat here for, like, the firstepisode felt like about eight
hours, didn't it?
But I sat here and just let youtwo talk constantly and I went
away thinking I don't think Ican sit in front of a camera and
in front of a microphone and doit anymore.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
I said to Sam I don't know if this is a bit of meal,
but I've actually really enjoyedit.
It's bright, I love it.
Yeah, I absolutely love it.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
I'm gutted for the one week out of all of them that
I couldn't be here.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, yeah, um, but it's hard though, isn't it?
Because it's hard to bring that, and that was like my thing for
it.
I don't know about you, but mything for it is we've got to
bring value in each episode.
Yeah, definitely, and it'sdifficult to do that every
episode.
You've.
You have got a plan.
Podcasting's not easy, and Ireckon that's why so many people
get to maybe episode three orfour, and then they're out.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
They're like, oh shit yeah, you lose my momentum
motivation I mean I, I mustadmit I'll sit at home and I
think, like when you, when yousend a text out and say, right,
what should we talk about thisweek?
Let's do this, this and thisand this.
I think it's so good that ash'sbrain works as fast as that,
because I've just about thoughtabout what I'm thinking the last
four weeks.
I mean, like when we did themental health on the other week,

(03:15):
I said I want to do it, I'll dothis one, let me do mental
health, because I had it alreadyin my head.
But it is so difficult to thinkof new topics every week and I
think keeping it about life ingeneral and opening it up to
certain well, not certain, justeverybody yeah, it makes it.
It's going to make it a biteasier for us because we haven't
got to try and niche down everyweek.
Yeah, I know everyone saysniche, niche, niche, but you

(03:37):
know everybody wants to listento niches today.
No, you know, some people justwant to turn, turn your radio on
, listen to some people chattingshit, having a bit of a laugh
getting some information frompeople you know, and maybe
learning something along theline, and I think I'm really
looking forward to it.
Mate, I'm not going to lie.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I'm genuinely looking forward to it.
I feel like having this break.
So for people listening, we'regoing to disappear.
We're not going to disappearbecause we're going to do some
dynamic content.
Chris has got to get the toolsback out of his van.
Lucky he didn't sell it.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, they say everything happens for a reason,
don't they?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Chris is going to do some work in the studio.
We happens for a reason, don'tthey?
Um, chris is going to do somework in the studio.
We're going to improve thesound.
We're going to improve theequipment.
Um, it's going to be a wickedplace.
I can't wait to get it finished.
We've got tv going up on thewall there and we can watch
stuff in the podcast.
Um, we've got some wickedguests and we've got some
awesome plans.
We have got some awesome plansfor just the untold the untold

(04:36):
podcast moving forward.
But it has been a learningcurve.
You know, it has been alearning curve.
Meetings here.
What should we talk about?
Should we talk about makingmoney online?
No, I don't really.
I never really wanted to.
I'm not driven by money.
Um, I like money and I likenice things, but I I think
you're like I just want to talkabout life.
I want to be honest andauthentic and help people out

(04:57):
along the way, I think that's agood point, mate.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
You know, like I said a minute ago, everyone
concentrates on one thing.
Well, when you live your life, you don't concentrate on one
thing, do you?
There's so much shit going onaround you all the time that
it's difficult to concentrate onone thing.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
So we're going to be like no other podcast out there.
I think no, yeah, and we've,we've, we've focused on five
pillars which we'll we'llrelease them.
We'll release the five pillarsand why we're doing it and why
we feel that this is important.
But those five pillars and thatwill be dynamic we'll have a
guest on.
He might cover three of thosepillars.
We'll have another guest on.
It might be a really in-depthepisode of that.
One pillar might be family, itmight be relationships, it might
be sex and intimacy.

(05:39):
Who knows what's on thatspreadsheet?

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I can't come in for that one.
I get too embarrassed talkabout sex.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
No, I don't know, um, but we've learned and we we've
learned that it's um, it's tough.
And then when you watch the, when you watch the chart sort of
drop off and you have to sitback and think, well, what are
we doing wrong, what are wedoing right?
And then an episode, all of asudden it'll go boom.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I think it teaches you, it's taught me resilience.
Yeah, Just keep turning up.
I thought I knew that alreadywith TikTok, but it's.
You know, TikTok, you can havea video, do 200 views, and you
can post one 10 minutes laterand it'll do 22,000 views you
know, Whereas this one wherewe've watched the numbers go
down rather than up, it kind ofdoes teach you again.
It's that consistency.

(06:25):
I hate the word.
I made a post about ityesterday.
Yeah, I saw that, what's yourleast favourite word on the
internet, isn't it?
And I'm looking forward to thebreak more than anything,
because I know what's going tohappen during that break.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
And we're going to come back with all guns blazing.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's going to be.
It's going to be exciting.
It's going to be exciting.
I'm finding a real, I've got tofeel it.
It's a real solid foundationthat we've built between us over
the last couple of days.
But, like new studio, newproduction, wicked guests, maybe
we'll tease them over July,maybe We'll see.

(07:05):
And again, honesty, authenticity from the offset.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
One thing I'd like to point out actually is we need
more engagement from listeners.
Yeah, people that message andsay, oh, great podcast, yeah,
lovely to get the messages, butwrite it on the podcast.
Write it wherever you'relistening to it.
Well, write it wherever you'rewatching it, because they help
the algorithm, they helpstatistics and everything.
They help it get pushed out.
Um, and you know it's importantto get people involved.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah, and it helps us know where we're going wrong.
If we do a shit episode, tellus you've done a shit episode.
Lads, that was toilet.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
What are you playing at?
Yeah, because not only are wewasting our time, but we're
wasting anybody else's timelistening to it, aren't we so?
It's important to hear those.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
So for season two, let's bring in a feature of
listener questions.
Yeah, man.
So, on that note, if you'relistening, the Untold Podcast
has a phone number.

to enjoy it and we want tobring you value.
That's the most important thing.
Life is tough, as we've said, even in your own bubble is
really fucking important to pullyourself out of it.
So, chris, anything else youwant to say before we wrap this

(09:28):
little one up?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
It's been emotional.
It has been emotional.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
It has been emotional .

Speaker 2 (09:33):
It's not been emotional, to be fair.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I think I got a little bit emotional in one
episode actually, yeah, so itwas a little bit emotional, I
think, when the guests come inand the guests know their shit
and they're grilling us.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they end up grilling us.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
That's when it's going to get emotional.
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
But thanks obviously everyone that's been listening
so far.

whatever you want to do no nudes, yeah, no nudes.

We're going to get our familiesinvolved?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
I'm not sure they're going to be too impressed by
that.
I'm not sure my missus would betoo happy to come in, but might
not just be the missus younever know.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
That's it my daughter who is 11, just wants to film
content with me.
That's all she wants to do, somaybe we'll do an episode with
an 11 year old of what lifefeels like yeah yeah, there's
loads of things that.
There's loads of things we cando.
We don't want to spreadourselves thin, but we are going
to focus on five what I thinkare pretty core principles to

(10:50):
anybody growing up in 2025, yeah, so, without further ado,
that's us signing off for seasonone it's been brilliant and
season two, I promise you isgoing to hit hard.
