(00:00):
Welcome back to the Wooden Cricket Podcast.
I'm Lawrence. And every day we open God's Word
and let it speak life into our own.
Yesterday in episode 46, we talked about the heavy chain of
unforgiveness and how Jesus breaks it so we can walk in
freedom. But even when forgiveness flows,

(00:24):
many of us still walk with another silent struggle,
loneliness. You can be at a family
gathering, at church, at work, even in a crowded room and still
feel unseen. You can laugh in public and cry
in private. You can hold conversations all

(00:45):
day and still ache at night. Loneliness is one of the deepest
wounds people carry, but Scripture doesn't ignore it.
God steps into it, and today we'll see how He meets us there,
reminding us that we are seen knowing and never abandoned.

(01:09):
Let's begin with David. In the Psalms, he often felt
isolated and misunderstood. But instead of letting
loneliness swallow him, he reminded himself that God's
nearer. And in Salm 139 versus 1 through
4, it says, O Lord, you have examined my heart and know

(01:32):
everything about me. You know when I sit down or
stand up. You know my thoughts even when
I'm far away. You see me when I travel and
when I rest at home. You know everything I do.
You know what I'm going to say even before I say it, Lord,

(01:53):
loneliness whispers. No one understands you, but
David reminds us. God knows everything about you
before we speak. He knows before you move.
He sees before you even think heunderstands.
And that knowledge isn't distant, it's intimate.

(02:17):
It's loving. Your size matter to him.
Your tears matter to him. Your unspoken fears matter to
Him. God knows you fully and He loves
you fully. And that's not just poetry in
the Psalms, it's reality in the lives of people.

(02:39):
Let's step into the story of Hagar, a woman abandoned and
alone in the wilderness, but seen by God and all the way back
in Genesis chapter 16, verse 13.It says thereafter Hagar used
another name to refer to the Lord who had spoken to her.

(03:02):
She said You are the God who sees me.
She also said, have I truly seenthe one who sees me rejected,
mistreated and forgotten? That was Hagar's reality.
But God found her in the desert and she gave him a name.

(03:22):
L Roy, The God who sees me. God sees you too.
He sees you when the room feels empty.
He sees you when the silence feels heavy.
He sees you in the world, seems to move on without you, and his
seeing isn't passive. He doesn't just notice you, he

(03:45):
cares. He comes nearer, and he
comforts, and He provides, and then we hear it from the lips of
Jesus himself as He prepares hisdisciples for his departure.
They were about to feel abandoned, but He gave them a
promise. John chapter 14, verse 18.

(04:05):
No, I will not abandon you as orphans.
I will come to you. The disciples feared being left
alone. And Jesus said, I will not leave
you, I will come to you through the Holy Spirit.
That promise is true today. Even if others walk away, even

(04:31):
if no one understands. Jesus does, and he stays.
When loneliness screams abandonment, His Spirit whispers
presence and Paul, who knew prison cells very well, he knew
betrayal and isolation declared with confidence that God's love

(04:55):
could never be taken away. In a Romans chapter 8 verse 38
it says, and I am convinced thatnothing can ever separate us
from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither
angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries

(05:17):
about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate us
from God's love. No power in the sky above or in
the earth below, indeed nothing in all creation will ever be
able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in
Christ Jesus our Lord. Nothing.

(05:41):
Not distance, not depression, not silence, not even the
deepest loneliness that you might be feeling.
The enemy says loneliness means abandonment, but the cross
proves otherwise. Jesus was forsaken so we would
never be. He was abandoned on the cross so
you could be forever embraced bythe Father.

(06:07):
Loneliness is real, and it hurts, but it's not the final
word. The same God who saw Hagar in
the desert, who walked with David in the valleys, who
promised his disciples he would not leave them, who assured Paul
that nothing could separate us from his Love is with you right

(06:29):
now. So when loneliness whispers,
you're forgotten answer with scripture.
I am seeing, I am knowing. I am loved by Jesus.
Let His presence fill the silence, let His Word drown the

(06:49):
ache, and let His Spirit remind you that you are never, ever
alone. This is the Wooden Cricket
Podcast, and I'm Lawrence friend.
The world may overlook you, but Jesus never will.
He is the God who sees, the Savior who stays, the friend who

(07:14):
is closer than a brother. So if you feel invisible today,
hear this truth. You are not abandoned.
You are not forgotten. You are not invisible, you are
loved by the One who gave his life for you and promised never

(07:36):
to leave you. May the presence of Jesus
comfort you in your silence. May His Spirit remind you that
you are seen and may His love anchor your soul in every
season, even when loneliness tries to take hold.
Until next time, my friends, Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep

(07:56):
your heart open to His presence, and let His love be the answer
when the world feels empty. And until next time, this is
Lawrence with the Wooden CricketPodcast saying peace.
