The Working Class Podcast brings the MOST RAW & UNCUT PODCAST This side of the Mississippi in todays episode the lads are joined by a former teacher to 2 of our crew and also has been very influential within the Irish Movement. We are proud to be seated and talking to JIM (JAZ) MCCANN or as many would know Mr McCann. Jim is known for being a very accomplished teacher around belfast specifically west and was in LONG KESH PRISON during its most vicious years The HUNGER STRIKE. Prominently looked at as one of Irelands darkest losses was that of BOBBY SANDS and others during this conflict. We talk about the prison escape that followed and how Jim was caught and served 17 years with The notorious H BLOCKS. We go into depth the motives and conversations had during the dirty protests taking place and also about significant figures that lead key positions to what we see as normality today. The lads ask in depth questions while asserting a knowledge that has long been taught to us but never openly talked about without hesitation within certain communities. We hope to bring this story and many others like it to talk and teach about the conflict that took ace on this beautiful Island.
