In boxing, a contender is a qualified fighter who has worked their way up the ranks and is considered a potential challenger for a world title. They are typically ranked among the top fighters in their weight division and are often seen as having a good chance of winning a championship. Dwight Johnson is just that, a long standing heavyweight contender who never made it to the championship he wanted. He was always one fight away from the big time, but it seems fate always brought him back down to reality.
