(00:00):
Welcome back everybody to another episode of The Core of
Entertainment. This is an audio only podcast
available on Apple and availableon Spotify every Monday morning
and every Wednesday morning. And today is Monday.
Yes, it is Monday. And I am joined by a return
guest, a friend of the show, a pillared here at the core of
(00:21):
Entertainment in these hollow gates of this semi successful
podcast here in beautiful 50 to 80.
And today I am joined by one no droids.
What's up, buddy? How's it going?
How's it going? Hey, so we were literally just
having a conversation. The Mandalorian is on currently
right now. And obviously for every Star
(00:43):
Wars fan out there and for everyfan of this podcast, you will
know the gentleman to my left here as no Droids.
And he proposed a very interesting question, which was
because we're watching The Mandalorian right now.
Obviously this is an audio podcast.
Sorry, don't have the budget forvideo.
Stand by for that. Eventually there will be little
(01:04):
teaser for the audience there. But everyone knows The
Mandalorian, the show that Disney Plus built their flagship
on. Now, no droids proposed a
question to me, your boy OC, youknow who it is.
And the question was what? Which ship of Mandos do you
(01:27):
prefer, the Razor Crest or the Naboo Starfighter that he
currently has? If this were Sophie's Choice,
it'd be a shorter film. I got to go Razor.
Crest, I agree. Really.
Yeah. OK.
OG there's there's a lot more. Story.
With the Razor Crest. Yeah, and it's, and it's also,
(01:49):
and it's also, I mean, it's one,it's, it's, it's, it's just so
good, man. I mean, like it's like you got
the place where, you know, you can freeze all the all the
people that he comes in and he says I can bring you in warm or
cold. There's a whole supply chamber
for all the weapons. There's a whole area for, I
(02:10):
mean, like, and you said it too,you said it was perfect for when
people are on on board, you know, just more convenient for
the story. Yeah, I agree.
Yeah, Yeah, because now it's theonly has room for him and Grogu.
So which is if he teams up with people again?
Yeah. Make it interesting, I suppose.
Well The funny thing is like literally when he got the Naboo
(02:34):
starfighter or the ship. You can correct me in the
comments. I don't know the actual name of
the ship but it's the it's from episode 1.
It's pre empire obviously. Now we all know that the back
area behind the actual seat is for what R2 obviously, or
whatever R2 unit may be accompanying that said pilot.
(02:57):
And once I saw that ship and I saw the little Dome
instantaneously, I remember telling you away from the
studio, I'm like, oh, fuck you. I know.
I knew Grogu was going to come back.
Grogu has to come back because that's that little spot for him
to sit. I mean, there's no other way to
do it. There's no other reason why they
(03:18):
would have that because one, that's how you adopted your
name. No droids, obviously.
And for this, narratively, it just makes sense.
But I do like that he has that because of course he would.
That's a sweet call back to a film that my generation detested
and almost ruined the franchise. But to your generation, that's
one that was perfect. You guys loved it.
(03:40):
But today, today is Monday. We're not talking about Star
Wars. Bear with us on the intro there.
That was a fun little intro. It's just a good conversation
that had to be put on, Mike. But today we're talking about
One Piece, each of the Oda's ODASensei, one of the greatest
anime stories of all time, quitepossibly the greatest anime of
(04:05):
all time in character building, world building, stories,
characters, villains, world building, an ever changing
seafaring world. Now yours truly here has been
following One Piece since 2005. I've been on mic, I've stood on
(04:27):
that. I'll stand on that.
It is one of my personal favorites of all time.
And like many people out on the Internet, many people that you
may interact with on a daily basis, a lot of people have that
immediate apprehension. Would you agree?
Yeah, it's defeat. It's a daunting task with a lot
(04:49):
of time put into it. And for you, you weren't
exactly. How do I say this without
sounding weird? You weren't a virgin to the
anime world. Nope I watched Naruto and by the
point you brought up One piece Ionly had Naruto and demon Slayer
(05:14):
and hence when you were trying to get me to start one piece I
was aware of the daunting task because Naruto is also like 900
episodes so I know it's long andI knew how much time I put into
that so but I'm glad that I started it.
What was the obviously we, we have, you know, we're, we're
(05:34):
very close outside of the studiospace, away from the core of
entertainment in this podcast. But you didn't have to like you
didn't have to jump on board. You know, I always recommend, I
always recommend One Piece to any anime fan or any fan of a
good story. I always recommend it for two
reasons #1 it's a show that you can constantly go back to.
(05:58):
You can constantly revisit it. There are people that we know
outside of here, be it friends, family, Co workers, what have
you, that we'll watch it, watch a couple 100 episodes and then
we'll take a step back and then maybe revisit an episode here or
there. What was the selling point
(06:20):
sparing, you know, the interest that you have now?
What was the big selling point when I was just kind of barking
at you to be like, hey man, I think you'd really dig this.
Look at this clip. Look at this character.
Let me explain to you what a double fruit is.
Let me explain to you who the five elders are.
Let me explain to you, this world has everything that you
could imagine. I think what it was was the fact
(06:44):
that you constantly were tellingme to do it and then I just
remembered when I did start Naruto, since it was my first
anime, I just remembered. I was like, OK, I will give it
the first arc, then we'll go from there.
And I watched the first arc and even after the first arc I was
kind of on it. But in the second arc I was
(07:05):
fully on board and I've just noticed that's how I am with
long shows. I just need like one good arc
and then I'm in. What was the what was the big
selling point for you? For me personally, it was.
I love pirates. I love that era.
Pirates of the Caribbean, great trilogy.
(07:27):
There are only three, calm down. But the seafaring element really
fascinates me. I was sold from episode I mean
really episode 1 when Shanks is introduced and just a unique,
you know, concept of well, this is a show and a story in which
(07:52):
the antagonists or the quote UN quote bad guys are the center
point, but not all of them have to be bad.
That was really that's what really took me.
What about you? I agree.
What really got me into it was honestly, when I thought of
pirates, I was thinking Pirates of the Caribbean or like, yes,
there's a lot of islands. See, whereas in this world it's
(08:16):
it seems like it's 90% sea with like 10% of land and just
between like the first couple arcs and the islands that they
go to, they're all so different from each other.
So it's because my worry was it was just going to be repeating
after itself constantly. But every island they go to is
so different. And the only like similarity is
(08:39):
though they saved the island by the end of the day, but the
journey and like how they do that is always so different and
so compelling to just keep watching.
I would. I couldn't have said it better
myself. You have been trudging.
You have been hacking. You have been hiking, you have
(09:00):
been working your way through the anime.
Not the manga but the anime. And you are how close to being
caught up to Egghead. Oh, I just started Wanna.
So I'm about 304 hundred episodes away from being fully
caught up. When you started watching it,
(09:23):
did you have any idea that the show would go places that it's
gone? No, not, not at all.
From the different devil fruits to this hidden 100 year era that
no one ever speaks about. And then coincidentally, one of
his crew members is one of the only people that can read what
happened during that 100 years. And all the behind the scenes
(09:47):
stuff that I'm starting to get teases about with the five
elders. And like in the like, in the
beginning, it's just like fun adventures with your friends.
And the more you get into it, there's this whole like, back
story with like Doflamingo and the the Celestial Dragons, the
five elders, like who really runs the world, the war.
(10:07):
Governs. Yeah, the Marines.
Marines all of it and learning more about the the path, the
great Pirate era, whatever like white beard and.
Yeah, the original like the the golden era, you know, and I
think that that is what really plagues a lot of people with the
(10:33):
fear, the fear of like, well, how good can this be?
How unique and different can this be?
And I don't know how ODA does it.
I, I would imagine that poor guyis just, I mean, he eats and
breathes One Piece. I mean, I, I feel bad for his
(10:53):
family because he probably barely sees them and he overseas
the live action, he overseas themanga, the merchandise.
I mean, working on that, at thatpoint, it has to be your life
because everything connects. And I remember preaching that
gospel to you and a lot of otherpeople that we know that have
(11:16):
started watching One Piece and telling them, listen, if you're
not sold by the introduction of Sanji, if you're not sold by the
introduction of Nami Zorro, USAB, there will be characters
that will slowly come along thatwill sell you.
(11:37):
And not only will they sell you.Yeah, and that aren't even part
of the main crew. But like, they will come back.
Exactly. Yeah, I just got before 10.
There was the whole reverie likekind of recap thing.
And yeah, just seeing all the characters from all the islands
that they just were at, just allof them in one place.
You're just like, oh, I forgot about that.
And you remember that whole arc exactly, and how many times
(12:01):
watching it, you're like, Oh my God, that's right.
Who was that again? Like, And then you just start
the real big one. I mean, obviously the big bad of
E Blue was Arlong. You know, that was kind of the
the sequential, like villain, you know, no.
Bet that arc is what sold me. Luffy put the hat on me.
I was like this, this is a good ship.
(12:23):
The walk, the walk, yes, And then you revisit him in Fishman
Island, you know, and then you realize this is so fucking.
The introduction to Jim Bay withthat and that connection too, I
mean. It's just and that's beautiful
men. I what?
So for everybody out there who doesn't know as I as we kind of
(12:44):
illustrated what One piece really is.
It's a seafaring, connective, long term world building series
story that seemingly has no end.It will end.
Obviously, ODA has said that he does plan on ending it, which
fingers crossed it. I just want it to be good.
But there's a lot to be learned from it.
(13:06):
I remember watching most of these episodes and most of these
stories at very low points in mylife.
And it reminds you to be a better person, friendship,
family, and it reminds, it kind of gives you that like little
pat on the back that you need sometimes.
(13:27):
When we're talking about this, the focal point is the Straw Hat
crew. Any thoughts on the Straw Hat
crew my friend? Well I like that they're all so
different but they all work together so well.
And even in the few times where slight spoilers where some of
(13:49):
the Straw Hats will betray the main crew, but then they always
find their way back because thenyou learn about their back
story. That's another thing I really
like about One Piece is the backstory for every character.
Just intense and good. And it completely summarizes
like why they are who they are. But and then with the Straw
Hats, even the ones with the horrible backstories, like when
(14:11):
they're together, they're happy,cheerful.
They all do their know their roles and they're happy.
They deal with Luffy and his craziness.
Yeah, because by all accounts, I've said this before, Luffy
should not work as as a character.
He's so happy. He's not jaded.
He's so just, you know, wing it.Yeah.
It'll all work out. It'll all work out.
(14:32):
I would say because we all have our favourites.
We all have our favourites. For all the One Piece fans out
there listening, and I know you're out there because I've,
I've got the messages and I, I've heard the cries and we will
talk a little bit more about OnePiece here on this platform.
And for me personally, you cannot deny the earnest nature
(14:54):
of the show. The Straw Hats, the crew itself
is just so much fun. They're a family, you know,
they're, they all have the one thing in common, which is that
Luffy will be king. They doesn't conflict with their
motives. It doesn't conflict with their
goals, their dreams. Yeah, that's something that I
really like, that each of them have their own goal, but they
also are 100% backing Luffy being kicking the pirates while
(15:19):
pursuing their own. Is there any straw hat that is
your favorite? I mean, because you pretty much
said from the get go, I like Zorro.
I like Zorro. It's.
Between his Luffy's left and right, it's between Sanji and
Zorro. I love Brooke but I wouldn't put
him as my favorite. He's more just my funny.
He's. Like, great.
Oh, he's awesome. He's great.
Yeah, it's it was Zorro for a while, but then after Whole Cake
(15:43):
Island, I really like Sanji too,so it's between those two.
For sure. Yeah, I know that a lot of
people have pointed out that symbolism that Zorro's eye is
gone and Sanji's hair covers theother eyes.
So they're both the, the either side of, of Luffy there.
(16:04):
If you have a favorite outside character of the the Straw Hats,
because we all love the Straw Hats, we can go through them
real quick. There is Luffy, there is Zorro,
there's Nami, there's Usopp, there's Sanji, then there's
Chopper, then there's Robin, then there's Brooke, then
there's Jimbe, Frankie and Frankie.
(16:28):
Now Frankie is an interesting one.
Because. Not only is he introduced in a
real low part of the show, not alow part with a story, but a
really low part of the show. It's the minor spoilers here.
Water 7 You find the crew kind of at their lowest, lowest point
(16:53):
where the ship, which the ships are alive, which is not saying
that they're celestial, but depending on how well you take
care of these ships and the lovethat you give the ships, the
names that you give these ships, they somewhat become sentient.
They're a part of the. Group exactly.
(17:14):
And Frankie is introduced at a very low point and when you
first meet this guy you're like oh, who's the Dick?
Instantaneously, but then, as you said, similar to a few other
members that I just mentioned, you kind of they win you over a
little bit. You know, they kind of wear you
down somewhat. So barring the Straw Hat crew,
(17:36):
that is the focus point and our our perspective and some of the
most tragic, heart wrenching back stories you'll ever seen.
Not naming names Chopper and Robin, but aside from those two
and aside from the Straw Hats asa whole, where would you put
(17:57):
your guides at your like favorite characters and maybe
favorite pirate crew outside of the Straw Hats?
I really like law. Yes, I told you that years ago.
I also really like Marco from the White Beard Pirates.
OK, that's that's an obscure. One, I think it's mostly I just
(18:19):
think his Devil fruit is it's myfavorite Devil fruit.
I think it's really yeah, it's really cool.
But Phoenix, whatever. Yeah, I mean.
Yeah, and he, he's another one that like, once again, like he
shows up randomly, but and then all of a sudden he'll just pop
back up and then before you knowit, you're like, oh, shit, like
(18:41):
this. Is this something fierce?
This is something fierce. What about a crew?
Do you have a favorite crew outside of that?
I mean, one can say the Law Pirates, you know, because
they're so unique and how they use a submarine, they don't use
a ship, you know. And then you got the Kid
Pirates, you got the Gold RodgerPirates, and then you got the
(19:03):
White Beard Pirates. Then you got the Red Haired
pirates. You've got tons of these crews.
Where do you find yourself? Aside from the Straw Hat,
obviously. Weirdly enough, I like the
Capone crew. I just that wasn't even in my
top five elaborate get get set it up for the audience set it up
(19:23):
for The Who they can who these. Guys are the Capone crew is
pretty much a character that's supposed to be like Al Capone
mob boss type character, always cigar and mouth, trench coat,
fedora and his devil crews. He couldn't like house.
He can make things shrink and like house things inside of his
body and then shoot them out whenever and just after watching
(19:46):
whole cake islands and everything, it's just I, I don't
know, I I love, I love a good Peaky Blinder things.
I just the mob, the mob aspect, I'm just, it's I'm there for it.
It's just cool. And yeah, just watching him in
the Straw Hats like working together while not wanting to
work together was just. Really, the shaky alliances are
(20:08):
some of the best, the best where, you know, like I we don't
want to work with them, but we have to as a means to an end
part of the worst generation as well.
Obviously you got the big three that people tend to like kind of
lean towards. You got kid, you got Law and you
got Luffy. You know, with the unholy
(20:29):
alliance they have, which you'regoing to you're starting Wano.
So this that is going to be amazing.
I cannot wait for you to watch that.
I am so passionately excited. I think when it really boils
down to the characters and it boils down to the overall story.
(20:53):
They don't repeat. They never like retread, you
know, they definitely revisit some familiar, you know, arcs
and territories. What did you think?
And I haven't asked you this, what did you think of the time
skip? What did you think of how they
(21:14):
set that up? Because I'm always curious about
all One Piece fans have their favorite arc.
Everyone has their favorite. It's one of the three favorite
arc, favorite crew and favorite Straw hat.
What was your favorite part of that?
How did that not favorite part, but what was that, you know, for
you that time skip? Because that's pretty daunting
(21:36):
too. So you have before.
Well before the timescape it wasthat was just sad like you first
time you really see Luffy like freak out because he can't do
anything to save his crew and they're just getting popped all
these random places and he's just they're it's crazy.
(21:58):
And then Marine Ford and all that craziness and the emotion
and you get to see the white beer parrots do their thing and
it's just all those top dogs like Shanks and me Hawks.
And it's just all the craziness beforehand.
And then just knowing that Luffy's training with the right
(22:19):
hand man to gold Rodger and thenjust seeing the bits and pieces
of everyone else like training with like the respective, like
they are good in this field and we all know that that's their
job. And then so just waiting pretty
much to see each of them and howmuch stronger they've grown.
Like even when Luffy just first gets introduced, he has the
(22:41):
mustache and he's walking by thefake Straw Hats and.
Just. Conquers hockey like it's
nothing and you're just like, ohall right it is so cool he's
gotten a little stronger and then you just see each and every
one of them get there's so much stronger like even chopper with
the Kung Fu point and he can he can control the.
(23:03):
Like the Kaiju? Yeah, this.
Is crazy. God damn it, we got to watch the
One Piece now because that's my favorite arc.
My favorite arc is Maureen Ford. That's the one that I that's the
one that I told you was because I always get asked that by a few
different people, a few different, like fans of of One
Piece, which is like, why is Maureen Ford your favorite?
I mean, I think for me, I've said this before that it's just
(23:25):
the culmination of everything leading up.
You see all the heavy hitters, they're all in like 1 arc.
I think it really elaborates more to Ace and his tragic,
tragic story. It really goes into who the
Warlords are, which is everyone's got a favorite
(23:48):
warlord, obviously, whether that's Boa finally realizing
what it's like to be obsessed with somebody, which is great.
And Luffy's so innocent pier of heart that he doesn't even.
It just doesn't faze him, which is hilarious because for
everybody out there, pause this episode and look up Boa Hancock.
You do it. Yeah.
(24:10):
OK. So Luffy is completely immune to
that. He has no wavering.
OK? Everybody that she meets falls
in love with her. All right, now look up a picture
of what Luffy looks like. All right?
(24:30):
Yeah, she likes him. OK, now that you've done that,
move on. The point is, is that it's a
very fun turn around. There's elements of humor,
there's elements of morals, there's elements of ideology.
And for me personally, my favorite crew outside of the
Straw Hats, it's got to be the red haired pirates.
(24:52):
Shanks is I mean for all, and I'm not going to spoil it
because you're working your way through Wano, but Shanks and
that crew it it doesn't get muchbetter.
It's it's just something just I can't even really describe it.
This crew of the Red Haired Pirates is basically the Luffy's
(25:16):
like North Star. Essentially he is the pirate
that saves Luffy as a child. He is Luffy's inspiration.
The Straw Hat itself was given to Luffy by Shanks and his crew
has some connections to Luffy's crew.
They have some connections to all around the world and to have
(25:37):
a character like Red Haired Shanks, who only appears less
than five times in over 500 episodes but has the most what
would you say? Like gravity behind him?
What would you say? Yeah, gravity, aura, whatever.
Yeah, it's just when he. When he's on the screen, you're
just like Yep, Yep, serious. It's so good, isn't it?
(26:00):
I loved one of my favorite favorite parts was when I mean
and you have a great villain andteach now Blackbeard, obviously,
who is like the strategist. He's the slow burn conniving.
Let's figure this out. Kind of attitude pirate
Accurate. Yeah, absolutely.
And that's a real pirate that lived.
So that's one that you know, Odoprobably wanted to get perfect,
(26:24):
right, But my favorite part withthe series thus far.
There's so many good parts and and Wano with Odin, gold Rodger,
white beard, great parts of the straw hats and now Egghead.
Obviously we all know what's going on now.
But the my favorite part thus far, all the God Valley stuff is
great. We don't see it yet, obviously,
(26:46):
and for everybody out there who knows what the God Valley
incident was, if you don't look it up or watch the show, you
never really see the whole thing.
But aside from that is when Shanks meets White Beard on his
ship. You remember that scene when
Instant and there your boy Marcosays the same thing like oh boy
don't and then everyone's you. Guys should leave.
(27:10):
He just starts walking and they'll pass out.
Yeah, and describe to the audience what that is.
It's pretty much Shanks walks onto White Beard ship to talk to
him and White Beard's right handman Marco tells the rest of the
crew the weaker ones to go underunder the deck because they
(27:34):
wouldn't be able to stand aroundShanks because his hockey is
what it's called. But aura, for my generation,
whatever, it's pretty much he just walks and people are just
passing out at the sheer being close to him because of how
strong. He is.
It's gorgeous. It is.
It's so cool. So we've kind of sold.
(27:59):
We sold one piece obviously on the fact of what we like about
it. You saw the live action, a
seemingly unadaptable show, and they did a pretty, pretty good
job. What did you think about the
reveal for Chopper? What you think about it?
Because we talked off air about Chopper is going to be the make
(28:21):
or break, whether we see him in like a little trailer, because
bear in mind that is like a piece of marketing material.
It's it's, it's built for that event.
We haven't seen him at any of his points.
We haven't seen the full back story, which, good God, I don't
know if I'm ready to cry that much again, but what do you
(28:42):
think? I think he looks good.
I'm just worried because the people that worked on his like
CGI and stuff said that it took him a long time just to do that.
And so it just makes me worried for the other points.
And then moving forward, all theother characters that are I feel
like would be way harder to CGI.But I think he looks good.
(29:04):
Sounds good. It's funny.
Sounds looks like Chopper. Sounds like Chopper.
Yeah. So I'm excited for it.
He's got to be adorable. Yeah, yeah, he's cute.
What what in the upcoming seasons, obviously, because I
think they kind of blew the whistle a little bit on like
they're obviously fingers crossed there's going to be a
(29:26):
season 3. I think a few actors may have
minorly let that slip, wait tillyou see what we're doing next,
that kind of stuff. But what do you think is going
to be the hardest thing for themto adapt?
Yeah, going forward. Certain devil fruits, OK for
sure. And then honestly just the
giants and interest Rosa, I forget his name.
(29:48):
The castle statue guy that looksI don't know how they'll do
that. That'll be.
Yes, the scale on that, like youneed to get like a James
Cameron, Ed Gareth Edwards of like these characters are like
the size of mountains. Yeah.
But then just adapting other like not giants, but like bigger
(30:11):
characters, just actor selectionfor future characters.
That's I think will be a lot of make or break kind of things.
I would say for me, it has to boil down to the the
groundedness because the live action is somewhat grounded.
They made our long a little bit more to scale.
He's bigger, more menacing, obviously, but I'm just very,
(30:35):
very curious. I don't want to be like, I don't
want to preach doubt. That's not what we do here.
But I will say there has been a few things of like the level in
which they go to whether that's the pirates, you know, white
beard is supposed to be like over 20 feet tall.
Big Mom is supposed to be, you know, just as big, if not
(30:57):
bigger. And Kaido, once you see, you
know, I've shown you a little bit of of Kaido and they're
building to that right now. And you just imagine seeing
that, you know, how would Netflix adapt this?
How would they adapt that to make it look good to make it?
And even some of the abilities like Trafalgar Laws abilities
would be something very, very interesting to see.
(31:19):
White beards. White.
Beard is another one too. See, like preach or teach?
I mean, yeah, I think they coulddo that one pretty easy.
Absolutely. But yeah, like white beards
devil for like, yeah, certain ones.
I'm certain abilities. Yeah, certain abilities.
I'm curious how they would adapt.
I would be very curious just to see what useless kid his
(31:39):
abilities, you know, would look like and stuff like that.
As far as like the metal manipulation, you know.
Man I love that show so much. It's a great show.
That's great. So you're just starting Wano.
Yes, you. Started it today, 2 episodes
then. Yeah, yeah.
How you feeling about it so far?I.
Like I really like the differentlike kind of animation style.
(32:01):
And as I said earlier, with the islands being so different, Wano
so far is very different from anything else that they've been
to so far just in terms of the people and the environments.
And I, I like that the stride, it's like fully blended in
yourself as a shop and all that kind of stuff.
Frankie's working. I love.
(32:21):
Frankie, I love Frankie so much. The the fun part with Juano,
they give you a lot more. There's a certain chunk of those
episodes where they devote a lotmore to Roger and and White
Beard. Like the past?
Yeah, they. Give a very I I showed you some
(32:43):
of it, but there's I only kind of showed you like the service
level stuff. I didn't want to spoil too much
because that's. You just showed me the fights.
That's it. Yeah, actually.
Come on, man, when they when they meet up and Odin and Odin
obviously Odin's there and when they're all there, of course,
like because they're rivals, youknow, for all that time and like
I just and that's the other fun part too, is that you get to see
(33:04):
how could we forget? I mean Buggy for all One Piece
fans out there, Buggy Jeff Ward did a great job as the live
action Buggy just such a coward, shit talking incompetent but
somehow has the ability to win everybody over in the anime.
I love it when they break out ofa a Marine Ford, like, Oh my
(33:26):
God, he's so courageous. It's like, oh.
My that part was hilarious. They all kept following him for
no other reason other than like why are they following?
Me all because he was on Roger'screw.
That's great, but he's on there as a kid and him and Shanks,
they were apprentices, you know, which is great.
And that's the big selling point.
Aside from the great stories, the great characters and
(33:49):
everything in between, it's theyare revisiting these characters.
So you see younger Shanks, you see younger Buggy.
The series opens with the execution of gold Rodger and he
ushers in then that that the great pirate era, if you will.
But through other flashbacks, through other stories and maybe
some connections that Luffy and Ace or Sabo and a few other
(34:14):
people have connections to. And then you go even further
down the rabbit hole with someone like Dragon, which I'm.
Just starting to get more revolutionary army stuff too.
Man, that's a whole other ball game.
With their captains and Sabo andall them.
The Kuma, apparently. Oh, yeah, yeah.
I'm not going to say anything because you're you're you're
scratching the surface on something that is going to be,
(34:37):
you know, like it is. It's really, really special to
see because even when charactersaren't really around anymore,
they'll, they will still come back in some type of capacity,
whether it's a flashback, whether it's a Side Story or
what have you. So before we wrap this up, when
you're taking One Piece as like a, a, a, a world or like a, a, a
(34:59):
saga compared to Attack on Titan, Naruto, Demon Slayer,
solo levelling, obviously there's a few that resonate with
people, right? For someone like yourself that
has been a massive fan of solo levelling, so much so that
you've actually broken the fold and looked ahead.
(35:22):
You've read ahead, you've watched interviews, you've kind
of done some legitimate digging to find out what's more about
that story. Why do you think it is that One
Piece has lasted so long and it just remains to be consistent?
I think it's because there's something for everybody.
Like I honestly think even if you don't like pirates, you
(35:43):
could still get behind One Piece.
There's just something for everybody with either a
character or story that you can relate to.
Hence why I also like Sanji's. I'd like to cook.
So. I just like him.
Like there's just something for everybody you can have.
They have the fights, but there's also good story, there's
good comedy. Like there's just, there's
(36:05):
something for everybody in One Piece, I think.
All right, I couldn't have said it better myself.
