8. Your Joy Is Not Naive - We Need It

Remember last week's episode when I used my neurodivergence discovery as the jumping off point for the topic? This week is the same! In my journey to rediscover who I am and take off all the masks... I realized I've been hiding my joy and optimism.

Now, that may or may not have to do with the neurodivergence! Right now that doesn't matter. It just matters that I've made this discovery, because...

I wonder if you've been hiding your joy, too?

Have you been telling yourself that your joy, happiness, fun, etc. doesn't matter because the world is hurting?

Have you believed that you must choose between fully hurting with the world and being angry and enjoying your own life? That both cannot possibly happen at the same time?

Have you felt fear that others are going to put you down, call you naive, tell you you're stupid or wrong, etc.?

Me too.

So, we debunk all the myths around joy and changing a hurting world. We talk about how vitally important your joy is!
