The Y Bar Savannah is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of culture and artistry at its upcoming Black Artist Showcase on February 23 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This free event aims to highlight the contributions of local artists, singers, dancers, and vendors, creating a space for community engagement and cultural appreciation.
In a heartfelt conversation, singer and performer Dana Fisher, a musician and e-board member of The Karaoke Krew, opened up about her upcoming participation in the showcase. Fisher revealed that she first connected with Bowers a few year ago when they were working the Savannah Music Festival.
“I was excited to be asked to showcase my music and my story,” she said. “This event is a chance to honor Black history and share my artistry with a new audience.”
Speaking about the significance of the showcase, Fisher expressed her commitment to representing Black history through her music. “I believe I’m a part of Black history, and this is an opportunity to expose more people to my work and my experiences,” she said.
