Many Americans in their 80s are choosing to continue working past traditional retirement age. Their primary motivations are often social engagement and a sense of purpose, rather than financial necessity.
Although this demographic still represents a small portion of the overall workforce, their numbers have seen a notable increase recently. These individuals find fulfillment in their jobs, valuing the connections and activity they provide.
